This paper proposes a novel Internal Model Control (IMC) method for the control of superheater steam temperature. The IMC is known for good robustness including handling of systems with time delays. While Iterative Learning Control (ILC) is a strategy for dealing with periodic disturbances. By using a combination of IMC and ILC, their individual advantages are used to increase the robustness against modeling uncertainties and handling time as well as decreasing the influence of the periodic disturbances affecting the superheater steam. Some simulation examples are shown to illustrate performance improvements that can be achieved by the new method over the conventional IMC and PID methods. Abstract:
BackgroundInflammatory mammary cancer (IMC), the counterpart of human inflammatory breast cancer (IBC), is the deadliest form of canine mammary tumors. IMC patients lack specific therapy and have poor outcomes. This proof-of-principle preclinical study evaluated the efficacy, safety, and effect on survival of neoadjuvant intratumoral (in situ) empty cowpea mosaic virus (eCPMV) immunotherapy in companion dogs diagnosed with IMC.MethodsTen IMC-bearing dogs were enrolled in the study. Five dogs received medical therapy, and five received weekly neoadjuvant in situ eCPMV immunotherapy (0.2–0.4 mg per injection) and medical therapy after the second eCPMV injection. Efficacy was evaluated by reduction of tumor growth; safety by hematological and biochemistry changes in blood and plasma; and patient outcome by survival analysis. eCPMV-induced immune changes in blood cells were analyzed by flow cytometry; changes in the tumor microenvironment were evaluated by CD3 (T lymphocytes), CD20 (B lymphocytes), FoxP3 (Treg lymphocytes), myeloperoxidase (MPO; neutrophils), Ki-67 (proliferation index, PI; tumor cell proliferation), and Cleaved Caspase-3 (CC-3; apoptosis) immunohistochemistry.ResultsTwo neoadjuvant in situ eCPMV injections resulted in tumor shrinkage in all patients by day 14 without systemic adverse events. Although surgery for IMC is generally not an option, reduction in tumor size allowed surgery in two IMC patients. In peripheral blood, in situ eCPMV immunotherapy was associated with a significant decrease of Treg+/CD8+ ratio and changes in CD8+Granzyme B+ T cells, which behave as a lagging predictive biomarker. In the TME, higher neutrophilic infiltration and MPO expression, lower tumor Ki-67 PI, increase in CD3+ lymphocytes, decrease in FoxP3+/CD3+ ratio (p<0.04 for all comparisons), and no changes in CC-3+ immunostainings were observed in post-treatment tumor tissues when compared with pretreatment tumor samples. eCPMV-treated IMC patients had a statistically significant (p=0.033) improved overall survival than patients treated with medical therapy.ConclusionsNeoadjuvant in situ eCPMV immunotherapy demonstrated anti-tumor efficacy and improved survival in IMC patients without systemic adverse effects. eCPMV-induced changes in immune cells point to neutrophils as a driver of immune response. Neoadjuvant in situ eCPMV immunotherapy could be a groundbreaking immunotherapy for canine IMC and a potential future immunotherapy for human IBC patients.

Abstract:
The discovery of computers and specifically the internet, led to fundamental changes in concept, strategy, tactic, and implementation of business, marketing, and marketing communications, which shifted from conventional to modern markets in the digital age. Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) is a concept derived from the research made by practitioners and academics in anticipating the expiry of old strategies that are no longer reliable. In turn, IMC became a new paradigm to be used as a basic reference in facing challenges in the global market. The application of IMC concepts and strategies to the global market is known as Integrated Global Marketing Communications (IGMC) planning. Changes that occur in consumer behavior, message development patterns, the proliferation of media, especially digital media, and the integration of marketing communication elements are the basis of the IGMC strategic development plan. The implementation of the IGMC program can be expected to be a road map to achieve organizational and corporate success in the digital age. This paper synthesized the viewpoints of different experts and provides the author’s analysis, interpretation, and theorizing. Keywords: integrated global marketing communications, global consumer, global message development, global media penetration, and IGMC planning patterns.

Abstract:
Canine inflammatory mammary cancer (IMC) shares clinical and histopathological characteristics with human inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) and has been proposed as a good model for studying the human disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate the capacity of female and male mice to reproduce IMC and IBC tumors and identify the hormonal tumor environment. To perform the study sixty 6–8-week-old male and female mice were inoculated subcutaneously with a suspension of 106IPC-366 and SUM149 cells. Tumors and serum were collected and used for hormonal analysis. Results revealed that IPC-366 reproduced tumors in 90% of males inoculated after 2 weeks compared with 100% of females that reproduced tumor at the same time. SUM149 reproduced tumors in 40% of males instead of 80% of females that reproduced tumors after 4 weeks. Both cell lines produce distant metastasis in lungs being higher than the metastatic rates in females. EIA analysis revealed that male tumors had higher T and SO4E1 concentrations compared to female tumors. Serum steroid levels were lower than those found in tumors. In conclusion, IBC and IMC male mouse model is useful as a tool for IBC research and those circulating estrogens and intratumoral hormonal levels are crucial in the development and progression of tumors.

Abstract:
We have established three cell lines (IMC-2, IMC-3, and IMC-4) from a human maxillary tumor, which exhibited different sensitivities to epidermal growth factor (ECF). It was inhibitory to colony-forming abilities of IMC-3 and IMC-4 cells in culture, while it affected that of IMC-2 cells slightly if at all. The differential sensitivities to EGF among the three cell lines were reproducibly observed when several cell sublines were further established from tumors appearing in nude mice. Saturation-binding kinetics with 125I-EGF showed similar levels of EGF-binding activities among the three cell lines. However, IMC-2, IMC-3, and IMC-4 showed almost similar sensitivities to cisplatin. Autophosphorylation of EGF receptor in the presence of EGF proceeded at similar levels among the three cell lines. Tumor growth was followed in nude mice when IMC-2, IMC-3, and IMC-4 at 1 × 107 cells were inoculated. The IMC-2 tumors enlarged at much faster rates than the other two cell lines. The IMC-4 tumors showed very slow growth rates, and IMC-3 tumors enlarged at an intermediate rate. These data suggest that the maxillary tumor used comprised cell populations that differed in their growth behaviors in response to EGF.

Abstract:
Kata Kunci: Perkembangan IMC, Teorisasi IMC, Topik penelitian, Implementasi IMC Abstract Since its inception, three decades ago until today, IMC (Integrated Marketing Communications) has become attention of academics and practitioners around the world. As a relatively new concept, it is important to review the development of IMC which is traced from various papers published in international journals indexed as a manifestation of its development. To identify the development of IMC over the past three decades, it can be based on three aspects, namely theoretical building, research topics, and IMC implementation. Aim of this article is to: (1) Describe IMC development that is viewed from three aspects by comparing before 2005? (2) What aspect is developed most significantly so that it is different from the description of IMC development before 2008? Year 2005 and 2008 were used as benchmarks because at that time research on development of IMC theoretical (2005), research topics, and its implementation (2008) had been published. Using literature review, this research concludes that the IMC continues to develop theoretically, but did not abandon the basic ideas that had been built in 2005. Hitherto, theorization of IMC has sharpened in its construct and become more multi-disciplinary in nature. Keywords: IMC development, IMC theorization, research topics, IMC implementation,

Abstract:
Purpose Despite decades of scientific and practical experience in the field of integrated marketing communication (IMC), little is known about the role of IMC in the era of new media. The purpose of the present paper is to undertake a first step to close this gap by proposing thought-provoking impulses for customer-centric IMC. This is done by discussing central premises of customer-centric IMC in terms of the changed conditions on the media markets, its challenges and principles and its implementation issues. Design/methodology/approach The paper provides a conceptual approach to customer-centric IMC by deriving new lines of thinking from a review of existing literature relating to the concept of IMC. Findings The paper positions customer-centric IMC as an important advancement of IMC. It shows that the most important new lines of thinking which could be adopted as strategic components of customer-centric IMC are relationship orientation, content orientation and process orientation. The paper thus suggests that customer-centric IMC is a balancing act between a company’s own branding activities and the integration of customer-centered issues. Originality/value The originality of this paper resides in a detailed conceptual discussion of new insights into a customer-centric IMC. In contrast to existing work on IMC, this paper threads together the existing perspectives on IMC (inside-out and outside-in) to highlight the potential role of IMC in the era of social media (customer-centric IMC) by adding an outside-out view to the concept of IMC.

Abstract:

Abstract:
This study designed the transdermal formulations containing indomethacin (IMC)—1% IMC was crushed with 0.5% methylcellulose and 5% 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin by the bead mill method, and the milled IMC was gelled with or without 2% l-menthol (a permeation enhancer) by Carbopol® 934 (without menthol, N-IMC gel; with menthol, N-IMC/MT gel). In addition, the drug release, skin penetration and percutaneous absorption of the N-IMC/MT gel were investigated. The particle sizes of N-IMC gel were approximately 50–200 nm, and the combination with l-menthol did not affect the particle characterization of the transdermal formulations. In an in vitro experiment using a Franz diffusion cell, the skin penetration in N-IMC/MT gel was enhanced than the N-IMC gel, and the percutaneous absorption (AUC) from the N-IMC/MT gel was 2-fold higher than the N-IMC gel. On the other hand, the skin penetration from the N-IMC/MT gel was remarkably attenuated at a 4 °C condition, a temperature that inhibits all energy-dependent endocytosis. In conclusion, this study designed transdermal formulations containing IMC solid nanoparticles and l-menthol, and found that the combination with l-menthol enhanced the skin penetration of the IMC solid nanoparticles. In addition, the energy-dependency of the skin penetration of IMC solid nanoparticles was demonstrated. These findings suggest the utility of a transdermal drug delivery system to provide the easy application of solid nanoparticles (SNPs).

This study explains an 8+T SRAM IMC circuit based on 8+T differential SRAM (8+T SRAM) and proposes 8+T SRAM-based IMC full adder (FA) and 8+T SRAM-based IMC approximate adder, which are based on the 8+T SRAM IMC circuit. The 8+T SRAM IMC circuit performs SRAM read and bitwise operations simultaneously and performs each logic operation parallelly. The proposed IMC FA and the proposed IMC approximate adder can be applied to a multi-bit adder. The two adders are based on the 8+T SRAM IMC circuit and thus read and compute simultaneously. In this study, the 8+T SRAM IMC circuit was applied to the adder, leveraging its ability to perform read and logic operations simultaneously. According to the performance in this study, the 8+T SRAM IMC circuit, proposed FA, proposed RCA, and proposed approximated adder are good candidates for IMC, which aims to reduce energy consumption and improve overall performance.

Abstract:
Abstract: The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of a water-based calisthenics and resistance program on jump height in postmenopausal women with moderate hip risk fracture. 39 women were divided into three groups: swimming group (GN; n = 17), calisthenics and resistance group (GIR; n = 14), and control group (GC; n = 8). Body composition test included body mass index (IMC) and waist to hip ratio (ICC). Jump height was assessed by a countermovement jump (CMJ). GN showed a significant (p<0.05) decrease in ICC (5.81%). GIR showed a significant decrease in IMC (3.65%) and a significant increase in CMJ (15.5%). Two years of water-based calisthenics and resistance training can offer significant benefits in jump height in postmenopausal women with moderate hip risk fracture. Both exercise programs can also improve body composition.Key words: postmenopausal period, jump height, resistance training, body compositions.

Abstract:
We previously designed an ophthalmic dispersion containing indomethacin nanocrystals (IMC-NCs), showing that multiple energy-dependent endocytoses led to the enhanced absorption of drugs from ocular dosage forms. In this study, we attempted to prepare Pluronic F-127 (PLF-127)-based in situ gel (ISG) incorporating IMC-NCs, and we investigated whether the instillation of the newly developed ISG incorporating IMC-NCs prolonged the precorneal resident time of the drug and improved ocular bioavailability. The IMC-NC-incorporating ISG was prepared using the bead-mill method and PLF-127, which yielded a mean particle size of 50–150 nm. The viscosity of the IMC-NC-incorporating ISG was higher at 37 °C than at 10 °C, and the diffusion and release of IMC-NCs in the IMC-NC-incorporating ISG were decreased by PLF-127 at 37 °C. In experiments using rabbits, the retention time of IMC levels in the lacrimal fluid was enhanced with PLF-127 in the IMC-NC-incorporating ISG, whereby the IMC-NC-incorporating ISG with 5% and 10% PLF-127 increased the transcorneal penetration of the IMCs. In contrast to the results with optimal PLF-127 (5% and 10%), excessive PLF-127 (15%) decreased the uptake of IMC-NCs after instillation. In conclusion, we found that IMC-NC-incorporating ISG with an optimal amount of PLF-127 (5–10%) resulted in higher IMC corneal permeation after instillation than that with excessive PLF-127, probably because of the balance between higher residence time and faster diffusion of IMC-NCs on the ocular surface. These findings provide significant information for developing ophthalmic nanomedicines.

Abstract:
Cu-Al intermetallic compound (IMC) in Cu wire-Al bond pad interconnect interface is drawing attention of researches. However, due to thin IMC thickness, the characterizations of the IMC are limited to expensive and time consuming techniques. An evaluation is performed to use common X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) technique to identify the IMC in the Cu wired micro-chip samples in powder form. Existence of mixture of CuAl and CuAl2 was first confirmed by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX). In XRD analysis, peak correspond to CuAl phase is identified from measurement with slower scan configuration. The difficulty for IMC peak detection in diffractogram is due to low composition ratio of IMC relative to other materials available in the sample. KOH treatment for enhancing IMC peaks intensity does not work as expected as it etches the IMC as well.

Abstract:
In this paper, the performance of the electronic conventional image motion compensation (IMC) method based on the time delay integration (TDI) mode was analyzed using the optical injection formula of charge coupled devices (CCDs). The result shows that the non-synchronous effect of charge packet transfer caused by line-by-line transfer during exposure makes the compensated image dissatisfying. Then an improved electronic IMC method based on the CCD multiphase structure was proposed. In this method, a series of proper driving clocks were applied to drive the charge packet to move electrode-by-electrode during the exposure time, which results in a minimum non-synchronous effect of charge packet transfer. The mismatch of velocity between charge packet transfer and image motion was decreased. The performance of the improved electronic IMC method was also analyzed using the optical injection formula. The modulation degrees of the two methods were compared. The average value of the modulation degree of the improved electronic IMC method was 47/96, greater than the conventional electronic IMC method, which was 1/3. To achieve the improved electronic IMC, the driver timing diagram of the improved electronic IMC method was proposed. This paper presented an improved hardware implementation method for the improved electronic IMC method. Based on the basic FTF4052M drive circuit system, an IMC pulse pattern generator that worked together with the main pulse pattern generator (SAA8103) was added to achieve the improved electronic IMC. Then, the internal structure of the IMC pulse pattern generator was given. A dual pulse pattern generator drive circuit system was proposed. After computer simulation and indoor real shot verification, the compensation effect of the improved electronic IMC method was better than the compensation effect of the conventional electronic IMC method.

Abstract:
5142 Background: IGF-IR-mediated signaling contributes to prostate cancer carcinogenesis and pathogenesis and may be associated with hormone resistance. IMC-A12 is a fully human IgG1 MAb that specifically targets the IGF-IR and inhibits ligand binding and signaling. In xenografts, IMC-A12 inhibits growth of both androgen-dependent and -independent prostate cancer. This phase 2, multicenter study was designed to assess the safety and antitumor activity of IMC-A12 in asymptomatic pts with metastatic CRPC who were chemotherapy-naive. Methods: Pts received IMC-A12 10 mg/kg IV every 2 wks; until evidence of progressive disease (PD), intolerable toxicity, or other withdrawal criteria were met. Radiologic evaluation was performed every 8 wks. PD by bone scan required at least 2 new lesions with confirmation at subsequent imaging per PCWG2. Results: 19 of 31 pts treated have discontinued IMC-A12, 12 due to PD. 9 of 31 pts experienced disease stabilization for ≥6 mos (range: 7.4–12.5 mos), 5 pts (3 with PSA reduction) continue on IMC-A12. The most common AEs possibly or probably related to IMC-A12, were fatigue (25.8%) and hyperglycemia (19.4%). In 4 pts cases of Grade 3 hyperglycemia was treatment related none requiring discontinuation of IMC-A12; 1 pt required insulin but continued on study. Approximately 70% of pts experienced at least transient elevation of nonfasting glucose to above normal range. Other AEs grade ≥3 at least possibly related to IMC-A12 were one case each of thrombocytopenia (requiring IMC-A12 discontinuation), hyperkalemia, fatigue, pneumonia (resulting in death), and Grade 4 pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analayses are pending leukoencephalopathy (probably related; requiring IMC-A12 discontinuation). Pharmakinetic and pharmacodynamic analyses are pending. Conclusions: IMC-A12 monotherapy appears well tolerated in pts with metastatic asymptomatic CRPC. As in phase I, hyperglycemia was largely asymptomatic and manageable. Disease stabilization for > 6 months in 9 of 31 pts suggests that IMC- A12 may have modest antitumor activity. Additional studies of IMC-A12 in CRPC are planned. [Table: see text]

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to benchmark the progress of integrated marketing communication (IMC) education, by replicating and extending a study on IMC education by Kerr (2009). It documents progress, examines the impact of digital disruption and concludes with an agenda for change. Design/methodology/approach Using the Delphi technique, this study recruited leading IMC educators and thought leaders internationally to find consensus on an important range of IMC issues, including its place within the university, the IMC brand, curriculum, impact on practice, the incorporation of digital and future challenges. Findings IMC has strengthened its place within the university and also within the minds and understanding of academics, students and industry. Digital disruption provides many challenges including updating curriculum and up skilling staff. It is vital, however, that IMC thinking be positioned as the integrator and digital as the facilitator, providing platforms to actualise IMC strategy such as content, customer service and cross-functional planning. Practical implications This study shows what IMC education has achieved since Kerr’s (2009) study. Further, it outlines what needs to be achieved in the future by providing a “To do” list for IMC educators. Originality/value It is vital that the development and progress of this important new area of study is tracked to ensure industry challenges are met, such as digital disruption, and the right education for IMC managers of the future is provided.

Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to test the proposition that integrated marketing communications (IMC) practice is lagging in the trucking industry. It stems from the more general proposition extant in the literature that business to business (B2B) IMC practice lags business to consumer IMC practice. Design/methodology/approach In total, 109 trucking managers attending the American Trucking Association Annual Management Conference are asked which communications tools they use and for which strategic purposes. The new product adoption model (NPAM) provides a means of measuring efficient IMC practice. Findings Joint space perceptual maps generated by correspondence analysis reveal the association between trucking managers’ IMC mixes and the stages of the NPAM. Inspection shows that trucking managers deploy a relatively large number of traditional and digital tools to support all stages of the NPAM, indicating a sophisticated level of IMC knowledge and practice, contrary to the proposition that IMC practice is lagging in the trucking industry. Originality/value This contrary result suggests that IMC practice proceeds at different rates across B2B industries and must be examined on a per-industry basis. In combination with Garber and Dotson’s (2002) trucking IMC study, this study provides a second data point from which the evolution of IMC practice in the trucking industry can be tracked into the future. Additionally, this paper demonstrates the efficacy of the NPAM as a means of measuring the efficiency of IMC mixes, as well as for monitoring and training. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed.

Abstract:
Abstract CD34+CD31+ IMC, isolated from peripheral blood of exercised donors, are shown to be inhibitor cells on HBD-1 production by normal human epidermal keratinocytes (NHEK). Lineage cell-depleted PBMC were isolated from peripheral blood of healthy donors 24 hrs after 1-hr of treadmill exercise using a lineage cell depletion kit, then CD34+CD31+ IMC were sorted from these cells by flow cytometry. IMC were transwell-cultured with NHEK for 48 hrs, and NHEK harvested were analyzed for HBD-1 mRNA expression by RT-PCR. Also, conditioned media harvested 48 hrs after the cultivation of CD34+CD31+ IMC (IMC-culture media) were assayed for their inhibitory activities on HBD-1 production by NHEK. In the results, HBD-1 mRNA expression by NHEK was completely inhibited after transwell-cultivation with CD34+CD31+ IMC. HBD-1 was not detected in NHEK cultures supplemented with 20 to 40% of IMC-culture media. IL-10 and CCL2 were detected in the IMC-culture media. When NHEK were cultured with the IMC-culture media previously treated with a mixture of anti-CCL2 and anti-IL-10 mAbs, HBD-1 was produced in their culture fluids. These results indicate that CD34+CD31+ IMC transiently appearing in peripheral blood of exercised donors are inhibitory on HBD-1 production by NHEK. CCL2 and IL-10 produced by these cells are required on the CD34+CD31+ IMC-mediated inhibition of HBD-1 production by NHEK. This study was supported by SHC #8610.

Abstract:
10042 Background: RCC affects the immunsystem by inhibiting the process of differentiation of antigen-resenting cells from their myeloid precursors by secreting tumor-derived factors such as VEGF. ImC induce a profound state of immune suppression that foster tumor tolerance by inhibition of tumor specific T cells. In this study, we asked whether increased ImC frequencies can be found in peripheral blood from RCC patients and if ImC frequencies correlated positively with increased levels of tumor-derived serum markers. Methods: ImC frequencies from healthy volunteers and RCC patients were determined by FACS. ImC were isolated by magnetic bead separation techniques and their immunosuppressive activity was determined in IFN-γ ELISPOT analyses, CTL and T-cell proliferation assays. The production of reactive oxygen species by ImC was analyzed utilizing specific probes and inhibitors. Tumor-derived serum markers were quantified by ELISA, enzyme immune assays and cytometric bead arrays. Microarray analyses were performed to identify novel, highly specific ImC markers. Results: RCC patients demonstrate higher ImC frequencies (0.8 - 3.2% of total PBMC) compared to healthy donors. The increased ImC frequencies are positively correlated with serum levels of VEGF, PGE-2, IL-13 and M-CSF in RCC patients and the concentration of byproducts of oxidative burst, including iso-prostane and malondialdehyde, was significantly enhanced. Isolated ImC exhibited profound immunosuppressive effects on CTL and CD4+ T cell response in an antigen specific fashion. Immunosuppression by ImC was mediated by release of ROS, including peroxide and superoxide anions and by generation of nitric oxide radicals as evidenced in functional assays. Results from microarray analyses reveal EP-1, EphA5, and PEX-5 as novel ImC markers. Conclusions: These data suggest that RCC may induce the development of immunosuppressive ImC population through secretion of cytokines such as VEGF, IL-13, M-CSF and PGE-2. Inhibition of specific cytokine activity or the use of differentiating agents may represent strategies to decrease immunosuppressive ImC population. Results from a phase I clinical trial investigating the effects of all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) on differentiation of ImC in RCC patients will be presented. Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the view of integrated marketing communications (IMC) by social marketing practitioners. Specifically, the paper furthers the discussion how a symbiotic relationship between IMC and social marketing can lead to both practical improvements of health-related social marketing campaigns, as well as theoretical advancement of the IMC construct. Design/methodology/approach – Based on semi-structured, in-depth interviews with practitioners, the authors provide exploratory evidence for support for IMC within the social marketing community and highlight potential differences and similarities when transferring IMC from a commercial to a social context. Findings – Three main differences emerged when transferring IMC from a commercial to a social context. These include differences of customer-centric approaches between commercial and social marketing, the need to weigh out the application of IMC to the charity brand or the use of IMC at a behavioural level and, finally, different complexity levels of desired behaviour as a mediating factor. Research limitations/implications – As with all qualitative data, the findings may not be generalisable beyond the interview participants and organisations studied. Practical implications – Many practitioners expressed that they liked IMC as a concept, but they lacked guidance as to the application with a social marketing context. This paper contributes to providing this guidance and establishing a body of knowledge how IMC can be applied in a non-commercial setting. Originality/value – The paper contributes to the practical development of guidance how the largely commercially applied IMC construct can be modified to be used in a social marketing context, while correspondingly highlighting how IMC needs to evolve to grow beyond purely commercial application.

Methods: We retrospectively assessed patients who received ICI and had endoscopically confirmed IMC from 2010 to 2019. IMC was graded based on the CTCAE version 5.0 criteria. Multivariate logistic regression analyses were conducted to assess factors associated with recurrence of IMC symptoms and long duration of corticosteroids use (> 70 days). Results: 675 patients were included. 387 patients were males (57%). Median age was 63 years. Melanoma was the most common cancer type (327; 48%). Most (365; 54%) patients received CTLA-4 inhibitor ICI, as monotherapy or in combination with PD-(L)1. Median time from ICI therapy to IMC was 62 days. IMC was grade 2 in 335 (50%) patients, Grade 3 in 181 (27%), and grade 4 in 16 (3%). 155 (23%) patients had mucosal ulceration on endoscopy, 91 of them had severe features (deep, large, or multiple ulcers); 336 (50%) patients had non-ulcerative inflammation. The rest had normal endoscopic findings with histologic inflammation. Most patients were admitted to the hospital for management of IMC (405; 60%) and 16 (3%) needed ICU-level of care. Treatment included corticosteroids in 577 (85%) patients (median duration 52 days), TNF inhibitor in 245 (36%), and vedolizumab in 90 (13%). 202 (32%) patients had recurrent IMC after resolution of symptoms. On multivariate logistic regression, factors associated with IMC recurrence and long (> 70 days) duration of corticosteroid therapy were grade of IMC ( p = 0.049), treatment with infliximab or vedolizumab ( p = 0.044), presence of mucosal ulceration ( p = 0.034 ), or features of active histologic inflammation ( p = 0.076). Of note, patients with mucosal ulceration received infliximab or vedolizumab more frequently ( p < 0.001). For patients with grade 2 IMC, mucosal inflammation on endoscopy and delay in performing endoscopy with time from IMC onset to endoscopy more than a month were associated with IMC recurrence and longer duration of corticosteroid use ( p = 0.029 and p < 0.001, respectively). 16 (3%) patients had colonic perforation, 7 of them underwent surgical resection. No IMC-related death occurred. Conclusions: IMC is a clinically significant adverse event that can lead to premature termination of ICI therapy with high rates of hospital admission. Rarely, it results in colonic perforation requiring surgical intervention and ICU admission. Our data suggest that there is a utility of endoscopic and histologic evaluation in the prediction of worse outcomes from IMC. This finding is particularly important for grade 2 IMC as current guidelines do not recommend endoscopic evaluation for this group.

Abstract:
Lap joining of A6111 alloy and steel (SPCC: Steel Plate Cold-rolled C) plates was performed using a defocused YAG laser beam. A detailed investigation was performed on the intermetallic compound (IMC) layer formed at the weld interface. Two representative joints fabricated under different welding conditions were selected and the effect of the welding conditions on the kind and morphology of the IMC was investigated using a transmission electron microscope (TEM). An electron diffraction pattern method was used to identify IMC. It was found that the morphology and kind of IMC formed at the weld interface were strongly affected by the welding conditions, in particular, by the amount of heat input during welding. The thickness of the IMC layer formed at the weld interface was about 1 μm and the average grain size of the IMC in the layer was less than 300 nm when the joining was carried out with a small amount of heat input. The IMC layer was composed of Fe3Al, FeAl, Al2Fe, Al5Fe2 and Al13Fe4 in this case. However, the thickness of the IMC layer was around 6 μm when the joining was carried out under high heat input conditions. In this case, the IMC layer was composed of coarse Al5Fe2 (5 μm) and Al13Fe4 (1 μm). Therefore, it is considered that the reduced bonding strength of the joint with a thick IMC layer is due not only to the overall morphology of the IMC layer but also to the formation of coarse Al-rich IMCs in the layer.

Abstract:
Abstract Background: Immune mediated cytopenias (IMC) - isolated or combined hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and neutropenia - are increasingly recognized as potentially serious complications following allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) for non-malignant disorders (NMD). However, IMC incidence, severity, response to therapy, and associated risk factors are not well defined. Methods: Pediatric patients undergoing HCT for NMD between 2010 and 2017 at a single institution were identified, excluding those experiencing graft failure or death prior to day +100. Demographics and HCT characteristics were obtained from a prospectively-maintained, institutional database. A retrospective chart review identified cases of IMC with positive direct antiglobulin test, anti-platelet antibody, and/or anti-granulocyte antibody; and documented treatment(s) and response. Composite IMC severity, incorporating peak acuity and response to therapy, was defined as mild (outpatient management with supportive care or a single course of therapy), moderate (outpatient management with 2 or more courses of therapy), or severe (inpatient management with 2 or more courses of therapy). Factors hypothesized to be associated with IMC included younger age, reduced intensity conditioning, mixed or declining donor chimerism, and inherited metabolic disorder as indication for HCT. For the first year after transplant, peripheral blood donor chimerism, B-cell reconstitution, and IgG and IgM levels were obtained. Results: A total of 271 NMD HCT recipients were included, with 53 (20%) exhibiting IMC, 20 (38% of cases) with multiple cell lines affected, diagnosed at a median of 131 days post-HCT (range, 30-264 days). IMC disease was mild, moderate, or severe in 56%, 32%, and 11%, respectively. For those with moderate or severe IMC, all received steroid therapy, with a response rate of 13%. Eighty-seven percent received additional therapy including IVIG, rituximab, bortezomib, and/or vincristine. Resolution of moderate IMC required an average of 2 individualized treatment courses, while severe IMC responded after an average of 6. Notably, no patients died of IMC. Univariate analysis revealed statistically significant association between IMC and younger age at HCT (median 3.1 vs. 7.1 years, p<0.01) and inherited metabolic disorder as the indication for HCT (p<0.01). Patient sex, recipient-donor HLA-match, stem cell graft source, intensity of conditioning, and presence of acute graft-versus-host disease were not significantly different between those with and those without IMC. Following HCT, a decline in peripheral blood donor CD3+ chimerism by at least 10% from day +60 to +100 was more common in those with IMC (p<0.01), although 50% of patients with IMC did not demonstrate a decrease in donor T-cell engraftment. The percent donor CD3+ chimerism at day +100 trended lower in the IMC group compared with the non-IMC group (71% vs 88.5%, p=0.10). The kinetics of patient B cell, IgG, or IgM recovery was not associated with IMC. Conclusion: Immune mediated cytopenias following HCT for NMD in a large pediatric cohort was common at 20%, with nearly half of those affected exhibiting clinically significant courses before disease resolution. Elucidation of risk factors may inform modifications to conditioning regimens or other approaches to prevent IMC. We found younger age at HCT, inherited metabolic disorder as HCT indication, and declining donor T-lymphoid chimerism as risk factors for IMC. However, the pathogenesis of IMC post-HCT for NMD remains elusive. Further insights may arise from investigation into the role of infections/molecular mimicry and complement activation. Abstract:

Abstract:
This paper presents a study on relationship of cooling rates towards the intermetallic compound (IMC) morphology. Cooling rate is an important parameter as it has significant effect towards the IMC microstructure formation that indirectly affects solders joint reliability. However, there is still insufficient study regarding the effect of cooling rate on the IMC thickness and microstructure behavior by using Nickel Boron as surface finish material in the electronic packaging industry. In this study, Sn-3Ag-0.5Cu solder was used on Nickel Boron as coating layer. Cooling rates were obtained by cooling specimens in different media which is water and air. The elemental composition was confirmed using Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and the microstructure of each IMC then analyzed using optical microscope, image analyzer and ImageJ. In this study, faster cooling rate (water) found to provide thicker IMC (6μm) compared to the other medium used. The morphology shape of each IMC also differs between different medium of cooling. IMC that undergoes faster cooling showed continues like layer while the one using air cooling formed scallop like IMC.

Abstract:
The kinetics of intermetallic compound (IMC) layer and Cu dissolution at Sn1.5Cu/Cu interface under high magnetic field was experimentally examined. It is found that the IMC layer growth is controlled by flux-driven ripening process. The high magnetic field promotes the growth of IMC layer, retards the dissolution of Cu substrate, and decreases the content of Cu solute at the liquid–IMC interface front. Based on the experimental results, it is considered that the magnetization induced by magnetic field promotes the ripening process for IMC layer growth. The Lorentz force dampening the convection and magnetization decreasing the Cu solubility limit can retard the Cu dissolution and change the solute distribution at the liquid–IMC interface front.

Abstract:

Abstract:
BackgroundMacrophages and dendritic cells lacking the transcription factor nuclear factor kappa B p50 are skewed toward a proinflammatory phenotype, with increased cytokine expression and enhanced T cell activation; additionally, murine melanoma, fibrosarcoma, colon carcinoma, and glioblastoma grow slower in p50−/−mice. We therefore evaluated the efficacy of p50-negative immature myeloid cells (p50-IMCs) adoptively transferred into tumor-bearing hosts. Immature cells were used to maximize tumor localization, and pretreatment with 5-fluorouracil (5FU) was examined due to its potential to impair marrow production of myeloid cells, to target tumor myeloid cells and to release tumor neoantigens.MethodsWild-type (WT)-IMC or p50-IMC were generated by culturing lineage-negative marrow cells from WT or p50−/−mice in media containing thrombopoietin, stem cell factor and Flt3 ligand for 6 days followed by monocyte colony-stimulating factor for 1 day on ultralow attachment plates. Mice inoculated with Hi-Myc prostate cancer (PCa) cells or K-RasG12Dpancreatic ductal carcinoma (PDC)-luciferase cells received 5FU followed 5 days later by three doses of 107immature myeloid cells (IMC) every 3–4 days.ResultsPCa cells grew slower in p50−/−mice, and absence of host p50 prolonged the survival of mice inoculated orthotopically with PDC cells. IMC from Cytomegalovirus (CMV)-luciferase mice localized to tumor, nodes, spleen, marrow, and lung. 5FU followed by p50-IMC slowed PCa and PDC tumor growth, ~3-fold on average, in contrast to 5FU followed by WT-IMC, 5FU alone or p50-IMC alone. Slowed tumor growth was evident for 93% of PCa but only 53% of PDC tumors; we therefore focused on PCa for additional IMC analyses. In PCa, p50-IMC matured into F4/80+macrophages, as well as CD11b+F4/80−CD11c+conventional dendritic cells (cDCs). In both tumor and draining lymph nodes, p50-IMC generated more macrophages and cDCs than WT-IMC. Activated tumor CD8+T cells were increased fivefold by p50-IMC compared with WT-IMC, and antibody-mediated CD8+T cell depletion obviated slower tumor growth induced by 5FU followed by p50-IMC.Conclusions5FU followed by p50-IMC slows the growth of murine prostate and pancreatic carcinoma and depends on CD8+T cell activation. Deletion of p50 in patient-derived marrow CD34+cells and subsequent production of IMC for adoptive transfer may contribute to the therapy of these and additional cancers.

Abstract:
Innovation Management Control (IMC) supports innovation management with valuable information, thus improving innovation effectiveness and efficiency. Literature has shown that different elements of a management control system must be interdependent and that its design must form a coherent system of controls that spans the entire process under control. Accordingly, IMC covers the entire innovation process. However, IMC literature is spread over numerous journals from different disciplines, which may prevent the development of holistic IMC systems. We present a bibliometric analysis that provides insights into the development of IMC as a research field and examines the severity of knowledge dispersal. We build on a database covering 549 papers. The aim of the study is to reveal IMCs emergence and evolution as a research field, and future research directions. Our study shows that IMC combines several subfields and that dispersion is present in IMC, thus slowing knowledge transfer and hindering rapid progress.

Abstract:
Integrated marketing communication (IMC) is an effective marketing practice in the age of social media. IMC builds customer relationships and enhances brand value by integrating information from multiple channels and strengthening user interaction. The purpose of this study is to present the development process, current hotspots, and future trends of IMC research. Moreover, it explores the characteristics and patterns of IMC research. First, this paper shows the annual literature volume, leading countries, journals, and authors in IMC research through bibliometrics. Then, five hot research topics are identified through keyword co-occurrence analysis, namely IMC theory and models, brand communication, media research, customer research, and marketing strategy. From 1991 to 2020, IMC research is divided into five phases, each of which is related to the enhancement of user interaction. Future IMC research will continue to be user-centered, and IMC research will continue with social media and branding, as well as research on other topics that can further enhance user interactions. This paper also finds that the characteristics of the concept of IMC itself lead to a constant renewal of its connotations, which is one of the reasons why scholars cannot reach a consensus on the concept of IMC.
