Abstract:
Image paragraph captioning aims to automatically generate a paragraph from a given image. It is an extension of image captioning in terms of generating multiple sentences instead of a single one, and it is more challenging because paragraphs are longer, more informative, and more linguistically complicated. Because a paragraph consists of several sentences, an effective image paragraph captioning method should generate consistent sentences rather than contradictory ones. It is still an open question how to achieve this goal, and for it we propose a method to incorporate objects' spatial coherence into a language-generating model. For every two overlapping objects, the proposed method concatenates their raw visual features to create two directional pair features and learns weights optimizing those pair features as relation-aware object features for a language-generating model. Experimental results show that the proposed network extracts effective object features for image paragraph captioning and achieves promising performance against existing methods.

Abstract:
Existing deep learning-based models for image captioning typically consist of an image encoder to extract visual features and a language model decoder, an architecture that has shown promising results in single high-level sentence generation. However, only the word-level guiding signal is available when the image encoder is optimized to extract visual features. The inconsistency between the parallel extraction of visual features and sequential text supervision limits its success when the length of the generated text is long (more than 50 words). We propose a new module, called the Text Embedding Bank (TEB), to address this problem for image paragraph captioning. This module uses the paragraph vector model to learn fixed-length feature representations from a variable-length paragraph. We refer to the fixed-length feature as the TEB. This TEB module plays two roles to benefit paragraph captioning performance. First, it acts as a form of global and coherent deep supervision to regularize visual feature extraction in the image encoder. Second, it acts as a distributed memory to provide features of the whole paragraph to the language model, which alleviates the long-term dependency problem. Adding this module to two existing state-of-the-art methods achieves a new state-of-the-art result on the paragraph captioning Stanford Visual Genome dataset.

Abstract:
Abstract The present paper aims to investigate and compare the conceptualization and verbalization of the in-out relation in Danish and Polish. The introductory paragraphs focus on the differences in the distribution of content in Polish and Danish employing Leonard Talmy’s typological classification of languages into verb-framed and satellite-framed, and provide information about Danish Directional Adverbs which are believed to be the key to understanding spatial relations in Danish. The analysis in the following paragraph reveals similarities and differences in the perception of the in-out relation through image schemas such as CONTAINER and CENTER-PERIPHERY. The analysis of the CENTER-PERIPHERY image schema in Danish reveals that there is often a presupposed reference point in situations where the directional adverb does not refer to the in-out relation denoted by the prepositional phrase, which leads to a description of the general structure of this image schema in the last part of the article.

Abstract:
The article provides a comparative analysis of an electronic manuscript and a printed book by O.O. Suleimenov Word code. Introduction to the Universal Etymological Dictionary 1001 Words. The similarities and differences in semantic and stylistic nominations of titles and paragraphs in the manuscript and in the printed original are considered. Structural and qualitative differences in the content of the new titles of the book, the peculiarities of the semantic advancement in them, which include a brief reflection of the content of the corresponding section of the study, are revealed and analyzed. The analysis and thesis description of new paragraphs, which were introduced by the author after working on the electronic manuscript of the book, are carried out. The main conceptual approach of O.O. Suleimenov to the search for the ancient primary source of the word (etymon) and writing both in the manuscript and in the original of the book, is to consider in unity, in close interconnection, the main five aspects of a scientific problem: figurative image (drawing, hieroglyph), concept, word, meaning, pronunciation linguistic unit in languages, adverbs, dialects, dialects in antiquity and now, their semantic and sound similarities and differences in different regions of the earth. The evolution of the wording of the titles and the semantic and stylistic advancement in them is significant, which is associated either with a slight lexical change in the wording of the title of the paragraph, or with the introduction of a different (updated) title, or with the introduction of a new paragraph into the structure of the book. These innovations of the author contributed to the improvement of the structural and logical-content significance of the book.

Abstract:
Semantic segmentation is the task of clustering together parts of an image that belong to the same object class. Semantic segmentation of webpages is important for inferring contextual information from the webpage. This study examines and compares deep learning methods for classifying webpages based on imagery that is obscured by semantic segmentation. Fully convolutional neural network architectures (UNet and FCN-8) with defined hyperparameters and loss functions are used to demonstrate how they can support an efficient method of this type of classification scenario in custom-prepared webpage imagery data that are labeled multi-class and semantically segmented masks using HTML elements such as paragraph text, images, logos, and menus. Using the proposed Seg-UNet model achieved the best accuracy of 95%. A comparison with various optimizer functions demonstrates the overall efficacy of the proposed semantic segmentation approach.

Abstract: Because of the rising use of digital technology in all businesses and in all day-to-day activities to store and communicate information, recognition systems in writing have become a prominent study topic and development. Humans still require handwriting copies to be converted into digital copies that can be shared and preserved electronically. Handwriting recognition is one of the most active study areas, and deep neural networks are being used in it. Humans find it simple to recognise handwriting, but computers find it tough. Nowadays, technologies that detect handwriting letters, characters, and figures assist people in doing more sophisticated activities that would otherwise take a long time and be costly. The purpose of this project is to turn handwritten notes into typed documents. We aim to transform handwritten English characters into a computer-readable format using a paragraph as an input, process the paragraph with cursive writing and symbols support, and then train a neural network algorithm to recognize and display the text. CNN is the neural network model that we used. The image can be uploaded by the user. To eliminate background noise, the system pre-processes the input. The machine then looks for text sections in the image. The system then displays the text that is contained in the image to the user. To conduct horizontalvertical segmentation, we used OpenCV. Abstract:
Body Shaming is a term that is currently trending, where criticizing or commenting on someone's physical in a negative way or with speech that intends to mock or insult someone's physical or appearance falls into this category. Legal protection for victims of body shaming needs to get very serious attention in order to deal with the phenomena that are currently happening on social media in particular. This study examines the regulation of the criminal act of insulting body image (body shaming) in terms of positive law and explains the legal protection provided to victims in the crime of insulting body image (body shaming). This study uses a normative research method by applying the legislation approach which refers to primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The regulation of criminal acts of insulting body image (body shaming) in terms of positive law in general can be seen from the element of humiliation which is regulated in Chapter XVI of the Criminal Code and is grouped into 6 parts, namely from article 310 to article 318 and besides that, there are also other legal rules that regulate it implicitly in Article 27 paragraph (3). Article 45 paragraph (3) of the ITE Law. With sanctions in the form of criminal sanctions. The form of legal protection given to victims in the crime of body shaming is the making of policies by the State regarding prohibitions and strict sanctions for violators such as criminal sanctions and fines, through the established witness and victim protection institution

Abstract:
The present research aims to study the image of Pakistan through identifying the themes which are used by the editorials of The Washington Post. The population of the study comprised of editorials of The Washington Post that have the word Pakistan in title or in opening paragraph. A total of 116 editorials were analyzed with the help of NVIVO 10 that identified eight different themes. The thorough analysis of the data revealed that the newspapers mostly wrote about Pakistan through the following themes: Pakistan backing Taliban, negative image of President Musharraf, democracy in Pakistan, nuclear technology and Pakistan government, Pakistan’s operation against terrorism, Indian terrorist attacks, US military operation and Osama bin Laden, and social issues in Pakistan. It was also observed that Pakistan was presented in a very negative way. General Pervez Musharraf was very harshly criticized. Overall Pakistan was presented as a frail, threatening and monstrous country. Pakistan policy makers must develop counter strategies to combat this negative image building.

Abstract:
Purpose Digitization of historical documents is a challenging task in many digital humanities projects. A popular approach for digitization is to scan the documents into images, and then convert images into text using optical character recognition (OCR) algorithms. However, the outcome of OCR processing of historical documents is usually inaccurate and requires post-processing error correction. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how crowdsourcing can be utilized to correct OCR errors in historical text collections, and which crowdsourcing methodology is the most effective in different scenarios and for various research objectives. Design/methodology/approach A series of experiments with different micro-task’s structures and text lengths were conducted with 753 workers on the Amazon’s Mechanical Turk platform. The workers had to fix OCR errors in a selected historical text. To analyze the results, new accuracy and efficiency measures were devised. Findings The analysis suggests that in terms of accuracy, the optimal text length is medium (paragraph-size) and the optimal structure of the experiment is two phase with a scanned image. In terms of efficiency, the best results were obtained when using longer text in the single-stage structure with no image. Practical implications The study provides practical recommendations to researchers on how to build the optimal crowdsourcing task for OCR post-correction. The developed methodology can also be utilized to create golden standard historical texts for automatic OCR post-correction. Originality/value This is the first attempt to systematically investigate the influence of various factors on crowdsourcing-based OCR post-correction and propose an optimal strategy for this process.

Abstract:
The use of gestures is one of the main forms of human machine interaction (HMI) in many fields, from advanced robotics industrial setups, to multimedia devices at home. Almost every gesture detection system uses computer vision as the fundamental technology, with the already well-known problems of image processing: changes in lighting conditions, partial occlusions, variations in color, among others. To solve all these potential issues, deep learning techniques have been proven to be very effective. This research proposes a hand gesture recognition system based on convolutional neural networks and color images that is robust against environmental variations, has a real time performance in embedded systems, and solves the principal problems presented in the previous paragraph. A new CNN network has been specifically designed with a small architecture in terms of number of layers and total number of neurons to be used in computationally limited devices. The obtained results achieve a percentage of success of 96.92% on average, a better score than those obtained by previous algorithms discussed in the state of the art.

Abstract:
One of the results of the constitutional change, particularly during the 3rd amendment in 2001 is related to the arrangement of judicial powers exercised by two state institutions; the Supreme Court (MA) and the Constitutional Court (MK). Both as executors of judicial power are given different duties regarding the object of testing a statutory regulation. The Supreme Court is based on Article 24A Paragraph (1) of The Constitution of 1945 relating to the authority to test the legality of statutory regulations under the law against laws, while the Constitutional Court is given the authority to examine constitutionality of laws against the Constitution of 1945 based on Article 24C Paragraph (1) of the Constitution of 1945. Based on the research, it was found that the two state institutions, namely MA and MK, are both given authority in examining the legislation causing problems such as the following : (1). Potentially raises the insynchronity between the Supreme Court's ruling and the Constitutional Court's ruling. (2). The Supreme Court's decision is considered by the Constitutional Court in making the decision. (3). There is a temporary suspension of testing in the Supreme Court (MA). This can affect the institutional relationship between judicial institutions, the image and the authority of the court's rulings, can also cause legal uncertainty so that it will harm the interests of the justice-seeking community.

Abstract:
The images of the Transverberation of St. Teresa of Jesus originated in some of the episodes that are related by the saint, especially of the Libro de la vida in the 13th paragraph of the 29th chapter. The book had great success all over Europe after it was first published in Salamanca (Guillermo Foquel, 1588). However, the famed episode of the Transverberation was represented for the first time in the Vida gráfica (Antwerp, 1613) and this image was reproduced freely via prints. Among the most famous representation are a painting by Rubens, destroyed by fire in 1940, and the magnificent sculpture by Bernini, at the Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria in Rome. The scene was also accepted in New Spain with great enthusiasm and it became one of the most popular topics in religious painting. Wilson studies the image of the Transverberation not only as a mystic experience but also as a “virtual” martyrdom that is clearly expressed in a painting by Juan Correa based on a Flemish engraving by Richard Collin (17th century). Wilson recalls that both Saint Teresa and her brother Rodrigo used to read the lives of the saints during their childhood and that they even imagined themselves being martyred in the land of the Moors in North Africa. The iconography for the representations of Saint Teresa are taken from the topics that were used for illustrate the Martyrdom of Saint Ursula.

Abstract:
Fiction and films are largely about a narrative that tells a story, both reflect social reality. Since the inception of cinema, fiction has attracted directors. The creative exchange between literature and cinema began in the last decade of the 19th century. The key difference between the two is the perception of the visual image and the concept of the mental image. Film is considered a branch of literature. In fiction we have the word, sentence, paragraph, chapter, and all the fiction. In the film we have the frame, scene shot, and sequence. The word in fiction and the image in the film are similar because they are visual phenomena, both seen through the eye. Recently, the link between fiction and film has been an intense and prolong reveal, but discussion continues among researchers, critics and reviewers on the credibility of film adaptation from text of fiction. Critics have defined the value and limitation of adaptation. An important point of discussion between researchers and critics is the ability of the written word to convey multiple layers of meaning and consciousness of events portrayed in film. However the main thrust of fiction is linguistic and the thrust of film is imagistic visual.

Abstract:
The development of the survey techniques for architecture and archaeology requires a general review in the methods used for the representation of numerical data. The possibilities offered by data processing allow to find new paths for studying issues connected to the drawing discipline. The research project aimed at experimenting different approaches for the representation of the rupestrian architecture and the texture mapping process. The nature of the rupestrian architecture does not allow a traditional representation of sections and projections of edges and outlines. The paper presents a method, the Equidistant Multiple Sections (EMS), inspired by cartography and based on the use of isohipses generated from different geometric plane. A specific paragraph is dedicated to the texture mapping process for unstructured surface models. One of the main difficulty in the image projection consists in the recognition of homologous points between image and point cloud, above all in the areas with most deformations. With the aid of the “virtual scan” tool a different procedure was developed for improving the correspondences of the image. The result show a sensible improvement of the entire process above all for the architectural vaults. A detailed study concerned the unfolding of the straight line surfaces; the barrel vault of the analyzed chapel has been unfolded for observing the paintings in the real shapes out of the morphological context.

Abstract:
Hybrid spam is an undesirable e-mail (electronic mail) that contains both image and text parts. It is more harmful and complex as compared to image-based and text-based spam e-mail. Thus, an efficient and intelligent approach is required to distinguish between spam and ham. To our knowledge, a small number of studies have been aimed at detecting hybrid spam e-mails. Most of these multimodal architectures adopted the decision-level fusion method, whereby the classification scores of each modality were concatenated and fed to another classification model to make a final decision. Unfortunately, this method not only demands many learning steps, but it also loses correlation in mixed feature space. In this paper, we propose a deep multimodal feature-level fusion architecture that concatenates two embedding vectors to have a strong representation of e-mails and increase the performance of the classification. The paragraph vector distributed bag of words (PV-DBOW) and the convolutional neural network (CNN) were used as feature extraction techniques for text and image parts, respectively, of the same e-mail. The extracted feature vectors were concatenated and fed to the random forest (RF) model to classify a hybrid e-mail as either spam or ham. The experiments were conducted on three hybrid datasets made using three publicly available corpora: Enron, Dredze, and TREC 2007. According to the obtained results, the proposed model provides a higher accuracy of 99.16% compared to recent state-of-the-art methods.

Abstract:
The present study investigated the correlation between second-language (L2) proficiency and phonological development within a longitudinal frame. Five Brazilian learners of English participated in two data collection sessions with a seven-month interval. Participants completed a paragraph reading task containing several instances of two nasals and a rhotic coda in word-final position, namely, /m n ɹ/. Proficiency was measured via experienced English teachers’ ratings of an image description task. Results revealed cross-linguistic influences on coda production with vowel nasalization and deletion of the nasal codas, as well as frication and deletion of the rhotic coda. /ɹ/ was the segment that displayed considerable improvement over time. Statistical analyses unveiled a strong, significant relationship between proficiency and accuracy scores, but this relationship was not significant in the final data collection. The development of the phonological categories at issue seems to have occurred independently of participants’ oral proficiency.

Abstract:
Poetics is used to characterize the fictional and philosophical concept of B. Brecht’s short story, as well as the narrative means employed to create the image of protagonist – philosopher Socrates who finds himself in a crisis during the battle with Persians. The paper reveals the sense-creating role of the short story composition. It is demonstrated that in terms of narration type the story can be divided into two unequal parts: the first part is a (quasi) encyclopaedia article where Socrates is depicted as a philosopher and educator, a courageous person who met his end with dignity and a brave warrior. The second part consists of a number of visual images-stories that can be conditionally named as follows: “Socrates before the battle”, “Socrates and a small shield”, “Socrates criticizes suppliers”, “Soldiers and Socrates at halt”, “Commander’s shout”, “Battle landscape”, “Memories and reflections of irritated Socrates about his evening conversation with a young foolish aristocrat who commanded cavalry”; “The aristocrat details his battle plan”; “Socrates’ ironic attitude to this plan and his thinking about it”; “Escape”, “Imitation of the attack against Persians”, “Wounded Socrates is carried away”, “Socrates and his wife”, “Socrates glory”, “Philosophical musings of Socrates-pacifist about the causes of war”. The peculiarities of B. Brecht’s narrative system are studied. One of them is that every paragraph centered around Socrates is an expressive image which can be realized on the canvas, on the stage and in the cinema. It was found that every scene, in its dynamics, reveals the protagonist’s character, his ways of thinking and krainia under different circumstances. It was established that the scenes of Socrates’ escape and the imitation of the army attack against the Persians are the most dynamic.

Abstract:
‘Perhaps the most astonishing paragraph in the poem’ is Bailey's often quoted comment on 5.1308-49, the account of how men of the past tried to use wild beasts in war. ‘Fantastic’, ‘strange’, ‘bizarre’, ‘astonishing’, the product of ‘an intelligence fevered, perverted and cancerous’, a display of ‘obsessive exaltation’—such are the puzzled reactions of scholars to these disturbing lines. The most recent commentator finds it full of ‘macabre and gory detail’ and ‘not integrated properly into its context’. And his reviewer's approval threatens to undo forty years' work on the patterns of thought, symbol and image in Lucretius: Bailey's biographical explanation, the poet's subjection to hallucination and even mental derangement, it is observed, ‘has never been satisfactorily refuted’. Even scholars who have sought to explain the passage rather than delete it as an interpolation or an aberration wonder whether the poet ‘has triumphed over the philosopher’ and therefore is called back to a more sober reality by the ‘recantation’ of 1341-49 (such things probably did not happen but might have, given the infinity of possible worlds).

Abstract:
The author came to lateral line research rather by chance, yet this sensory system ended up as the main research focus of my entire scientific career. This paper is not a review article. Instead, it gives an overview of some of the major research topics that the author, collaborators, and students have worked on for more than 4 decades. During the last century, lateral line research was mostly approached by using mono-frequency water motions generated in still water with a stationary vibrating sphere. At the beginning, this approach was necessary and useful. During studies, it became apparent that the fish lateral line can only be fully understood if more natural hydrodynamic stimuli (including natural hydrodynamic noise) were applied. Better methods, like particle image velocimetry, are then needed in the research of lateral line systems. Finally, how a biomimetic approach can be used to investigate lateral line function is discussed. In the final paragraph, some research gaps and hence, opportunities that still exist in the research of the lateral line systems are highlighted.

Abstract:
In the competitive world of business, one effective way as a means of promotion is reviewing or reviewing products, which are activities carried out by consumers to give their impressions and views about a product so that it becomes a consideration for other consumers before buying the product, but there are negative impacts from this activity, namely if it is misused by irresponsible persons, what happens is that the person gives a bad image to business actors because of these activities and affects consumers who will buy the product. The purpose of this study is to analyze the sanctions that can be imposed from reviewing or reviewing a product that has copyright without permission from business actors. This study applies a normative method with a statutory approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by examining existing library materials. The sources of law used are divided into two, namely primary and secondary sources of law which are then analyzed by methods of legal interpretation, legal argumentation, and legal construction. The results of the study reveal that the activity of reviewing a product is also regulated through Article 27 paragraph (3) of Law 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning information and electronic transactions aimed at protecting brands from good name numbers.

Abstract:
The goal of this study is to examine difficulties in and outside the classrooms which are the real obstacles to the writability of teaching and learning in the secondary level Bangladesh system. The secondary level tests writing skills by summary, paragraph, letter, application, story, conversation, composition, report, e-mail etc. Students who study at the high school level face serious writing complexities. The major problems in the examination are the vocabulary and grammar complexities. In this study, the reasons for the complexities of writing skills were examined. This study was conducted at Jahangirnagar School & College, Savar, Dhaka to find out the strategies for writing skills. Important questions of research have been developed to identify writing skill complexities. Data were taken from teachers, students and parents based on questionnaire survey. Teachers and students were encouraged to participate actively in the survey. Following collection of data, the practical advice for students and teachers was analyzed. While skills at secondary schools have been evaluated, most teachers are not taking any action to evaluate the abilities of students. Students are also less interested in writing skill in practice. The aim of the study is therefore to show a new image to the writing skill at the secondary level Bangladesh education system.

Abstract:
The text is the editor's introduction to The New Cambridge Paragraph Bible to be published in 2004.THOUGH it is the most important book in the religious life and the culture of the English-speaking world, the King James Bible or Authorised Version of 1611 has never been perfectly printed. This is not to say either that it is badly printed or that absolute perfection can be achieved, but that the text and its presentation can be improved. First, what we now read as the King James Bible contains numerous deliberate and some accidental changes to the text, and these can be revised to make it more faithful to the King James translators' own decisions as to how it should read. Second, the presentation of the text – spelling, punctuation and formatting – interferes with the clarity with which it speaks to the minds and souls of present-day readers. Unnecessary background noise gets in the way. To use another image, there is dust and dirt on the old master, the paint is darkened and cracked: we can still see that the picture is a great one, but not how great it is. This article continues to explore the criteria used behind the publication of this new work.

Abstract:
I wrote a book. A blogger rewrote it in nine paragraphs using my own sentences, images, and my name. It was so seamlessly constructed I assumed I had written it until years later when attempting to use the rewrite as a summary of my book, I found no such paragraph existed in my work. He had rearranged sentences and parts of sentences into new paragraphs that produced an alternative me, a double that might have had an entirely different academic career as his version was perhaps stronger, clearer, and more aligned with the disciplinary norms of sociology than my own. This is an investigation into a new war of dreams, the uncanny, the coexistence of doubles, and what a blogger on the far edge of my world was able to do to my work and me.

Abstract:
This paper describes the suffering experienced by a woman as a double victim of revenge porn. Indeed, revenge porn is a crime in the Pornography Law which has criminal sanctions in accordance with Article 4 paragraph (1) jo. Article 29, with the threat of imprisonment for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 years and a fine of between 250 million and/or 1 billion. By using an exploratory qualitative approach to the main subject, Bunga (21 years old) is not her real name, as a student at one of the universities in Pekanbaru, this study also uses the Feminism and Victim theory approach as the analytical knife. From the research findings, it can be concluded that the victim experiences multiple and varied sufferings from the revenge porn she experienced. Personally, the victim experienced sexual violence and extortion. In other cases, the legal process as a victim's right which can actually be taken to ensnare the perpetrator is not supported by the family with the aim that the perpetrator and victim can be united in the marriage bond. Meanwhile, socially, the victim gets a negative image and stigma in the form of reproach (cheap and immoral women) from the circle of friends and the environment where the victim lives, regardless of the perpetrator as the main actor in the revenge porn case.

Abstract: Corruption is included as a crime which expands into a transnational crime, destroying the moral values of the nation, hampering and harming the development of the nation, a creation of a closed path of justice, prosperity and welfare of the Indonesian people. Death penalty is an option of criminal sanctions applied in the legal system in Indonesia. The death penalty attached and integrated in the legal system in Indonesia which was formerly influenced by the complexity of its background. At the philosophical level it shows that all legislations related to the formulation of corruption and death penalty have the background of moral values based on Pancasila as a philosophical footing. The death penalty of corruption in Indonesia within the perspective of a legal justice, contained in the formulation of Law No. 20 year 2001 about the Amendment of Law No. 31 year 1999 about eradication to corruption, chapter II, article 2, paragraph (2), shows a part of the positive law. The image of the positive law in Indonesia recognizes the existence of natural law. It is reflected in the philosophical values of the nation, Pancasila (believe in one God). Consequently, the products of the positive law in Indonesia must be derived from the natural law, and the natural law is derived from the eternal law (divine law). Keywords: Law, corruption, criminal act, justice
