Abstract:
Urban identity is gaining increasing attention across different research disciplines. However, there is no consensus as to how this concept can be integrated into planning theory, because every discipline has diverse concepts of urban identity, which are often included in planning theory without clarity. For example, environmental psychology literature and the social sciences have defined urban identity as human or social identity, while architecture and urban design characterize it as the urban/city or architectural identity. Therefore, this paper provides a conceptual framework for applying urban identity in planning theory and practice. This paper used the literature review method by synthesizing several relevant and reliable sources, particularly in planning, architecture, environmental psychology, social science, and geography. The result is an explanation of three concepts of urban identity, which are the ?identity of urban,? ?identity in urban,? and ?identity for urban?. The identity of urban helps planners to design functional and characteristic cities. Meanwhile, identity in urban helps planners to achieve the humanist aspect of a city and social justice; and identity for urban helps planners to advance a city?s economy and attract investors and tourists. These concepts are interrelated and can be integrated to support the sustainability of cities and their citizens, by achieving harmony between the population's need for orientation and identification, the function and aesthetics of the city, and the city?s attractiveness to visitors.

The purpose of this study is to find out the views of Islamic psychology on multiple personalities (identity dissociation) and the solutions offered to treat individuals who experience this disorder. The type of research used is qualitative research with the literature study method, in which the researcher examines various kinds of literature and draws common threads in order to get results or conclusions. While the results of this study are consistent with Islamic psychology's view of multiple personality disorder as a psychiatric disorder that has a negative impact on the individual, such as difficulties in interpersonal relationships, difficulties in decision-making, anxiety disorders, depression, and uncontrolled and unstable behaviour at work, the solutions offered by providing therapy involving spiritual, psychological, and pharmacological aspects are promising. Abstract:
Psychological research on socioeconomic status (SES) has grown significantly over the past decade. In this article, we build upon and integrate existing approaches to direct greater attention toward investigating the subjective meaning and value that people attach to understanding their own SES as an identity. We use the term status-based identity to organize relevant research and examine how people understand and make meaning of their SES from moment to moment in real time. Drawing from multiple areas of research on identity, we suggest that even temporary shifts in how people construe their status-based identities predict changes in thought, affect, motivation, and behavior. This novel focus is positioned to examine the psychological effects of status transitions (e.g., upward or downward mobility). Further, in initial empirical work, we introduce a new measure to assess uncertainty regarding one’s SES (i.e., status-based identity uncertainty) and offer evidence that greater uncertainty regarding one’s status-based identity is associated with lower individual well-being. In sum, we argue that insight from the literature on identity will both expand and serve to organize the burgeoning literature on the psychology of SES and, in so doing, reveal promising new directions for research.

Abstract:
The sociological literature on identity construction falls into three broad traditions. One, rooted in social psychology, underscores how individuals internalize identities that become stable self-structures. The second, rooted in dramaturgy, emphasizes how individuals contextually perform their identities through various scripts. The third, rooted in social movements literature, stresses how collective identity is nurtured and mobilized. Through 56 interviews with undergraduate entrepreneurs, I show that the three traditions are not contradictory, but rather highlight complementary processes and divergent layers of analysis. This synthesis is pedagogically and analytically useful, providing a heuristic for designing future empirical inquiry on entrepreneurial identity construction.

"Towards a Decentralized Literature. The purpose of this paper is to discuss how the History of Contemporary Romanian Literature by Mihai Iovănel opens new paths both in interpreting literature and towards understanding Romanian cultural identity at large. In this sense, “transnational specificity,” as Iovănel calls it, becomes a most resourceful field that allows, as Vancea shows, important insights into national and global identity in the context of significant technological developments. In the same vein, Vancea draws from Daniel David’s work on the psychology of the Romanian people to highlight new cultural aspects that could lead to changes in literature. At the same time, the paper tries to bring humanities closer to the perspectives that the Web3 phenomenon announce. Keywords: cultural identity, decentralized literature, Web3, literary history, NFT"

Using concepts from the literature on individual and collective identity, we argue that organizational psychologists are at a tipping point with regard to identity. Assertions regarding a lack of distinctiveness from other fields, ambiguity in individual identification with the field among new entrants, hyperadaptation to external forces, and a failure to manage within-identity dynamics associated with science and practice are presented. These assertions are supported with descriptions of the nature of growth in the field, challenges in academic psychology departments, and calls for changing research agendas. With the aim of engaging others in collective sensemaking, alternative future scenarios for organizational psychology are presented.

Abstract:
The model of feminist identity development proposed by Downing and Roush in 1985 is revisited as a potentially useful framework in counseling psychology theory, research, and practice. An examination of the historical context from which the model arose illustrates how it advanced theory in the psychology of women. A critical review of the extant empirical literature is generally supportive of the model's original tenets and is indicative of its promise for application to practice. However; measurement and methodological concerns point to the need for more research, especially on the model's relevance to more diverse populations. Recent social and scientific advances inform future directions for theory, research, and practice.

Grieve, Dawn. "Confrontation and identity in the fiction of J.M. Coetzee." Thesis, Edith Cowan University, Research Online, Perth, Western Australia, 1999. https://ro.ecu.edu.au/theses/1246.

Full text
Abstract:
This thesis is an examination of the fictional works of J.M. Coetzee to date. By focusing my gaze upon either the lack of encounter or the encounters between the 'Self' and the 'Other', I explore the relationship between confrontation and the fluid formation and erosion of identity. This exploration takes place against a dual background: the history of the apartheid government in South Africa, the legacy of oppression and the post-apartheid opportunities and challenges; and Coetzee's own acknowledgement of complicity with the past and commitment to a reconciled future. This study not only examines a broad range of criticism on Coetzee but also provides an integrated response to Coetzee's own writing, both fictional and nonfictional. A crack or flaw is revealed in the identity of each of the main characters in the texts. These aporias resist interrogation and establish what I perceive to be a metafictional objective. The limitations of rational engagement are eloquently represented in Coetzee's novels in the presence of the suffering body. It is the aim of this thesis to trace a trajectory which begins in this metalingual space and leads to a metaphysical challenge to Western philosophical tradition. On close textual scrutiny of three of the novels: In the Heart of the Country, Age of Iron and The Master of Petersburg, I have identified widening cracks in the identities of the protagonists. Using a metaphor of leakage, it is my thesis that these gaps offer creative opportunities of sharing which dissolve judgement and allow for imaginative understanding of otherness. This study is then read back into Coetzee's world. It reaffirms the significance of his voice locally and globally, both in the academy and society. I concur with most recent comment that Coetzee's fiction transgresses critical containment and offers metafictional extension to post-colonial theories. This thesis synthesises some of this current debate. The ethical implications of his work are also extended in this thesis, by honouring his commitment to self-scrutiny throughout the novel sequence and in his personal confession in Boyhood: Scenes from Provincial Life. In the specific narratives of his characters and the stories from his own past, he provides fragments of hope which transcend the confines of all discourse. I conclude that his example invites and encourages a brave response.

Liebert, Elisabeth Mary, and n/a. "Speaking selves : dialogue and identity in Miltons major poems." University of Otago. Department of English, 2006. http://adt.otago.ac.nz./public/adt-NZDU20061106.160106.

Full text
Abstract:
In his Dialogue on the State of a Christian Man (1597), William Perkins articulated the popular early-modern understanding that the individual is a "double person" organised under "spiritual" and "temporal" regiments. In the one, he is a person "under Christ" and must endeavour to become Christ-like; in the other, he is a person "in respect of" others and bound to fulfil his duties towards them. This early-modern self, governed by relationships and the obligations they entail, was profoundly vulnerable to the formative influence of speech, for relationships themselves were in part created and sustained through social dialogue. Similarly, the individual could hope to become "a person...under Christ" only by hearing spiritual speech - Scripture preached or read, or the "secret soule-whisperings" of the Spirit. The capacity of speech to effect real and lasting change in the auditor was a commonplace in seventeenth-century England: the conscious crafting of identity, dramatised by Stephen Greenblatt in Renaissance Self-Fashioning, occurred daily in domestic and social transactions, in the exchange of civilities, the use of apostrophe, and strategies of praise. It happened when friends or strangers met, when host greeted guest, or the signatory to a letter penned vocatives that defined his addressee. It lacked a sense of high drama but was nonetheless calculated and effective. Speaking Selves proposes that examining the impact of speech upon the "double person" not only contributes to our understanding of selfhood in the seventeenth century, but also, and more importantly, leads to new insights into some of that centurys greatest literary artefacts: Paradise Lost, Paradise Regained, and Samson Agonistes. The first chapter turns to conduct manuals and conversion narratives, to speech-act theory and discourse analysis, and draws out those verbal strategies that contributed to the organisation of social and spiritual selves. Chapter 2 turns to Paradise Lost and traces the Fathers gradual revelation to the Son, through apostrophe, how he is to reflect, how enact the divine being whose visible and verbal expression he is. Chapter 3 discusses advice on address behaviour in seventeenth-century marriage treatises; it reveals the positive contribution of generous apostrophe and verbal mirroring to Adam and Eves Edenic marriage. The conversational dyads in heaven and prelapsarian Eden enact positive identities for their collocutors. Satan, however, begetting himself by diabolical speech-act, discovers the ability of words to dismantle the identity of others. Chapter 4 traces the development of his deceptive strategies, drawing attention to his wilful misrepresentation of social identity as a means to pervert the spiritual identity of his collocutor. The final chapter explores the reorganisation of the complex social-spiritual person in the postlapsarian world. We watch the protagonist of Samson discriminate between the many voices that attempt to impose upon him their own understanding of selfhood. Drawing on spiritual autobiographies as structurally and thematically analogous to Miltons drama, this final chapter traces the inward plot of Samson as its fallen hero redefines identity and rediscovers the "intimate impulse" of the Spirit that alone can complete the reorganisation of the spiritual self.

Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of this paper is to suggest additional aspects of social psychology that could help when making sense of autonomous agile teams. To make use of well-tested theories in social psychology and instead see how they replicated and differ in the autonomous agile team context would avoid reinventing the wheel. This was done, as an initial step, through looking at some very common agile practices and relate them to existing findings in social-psychological research. The two theories found that I argue could be more applied to the software engineering context are social identity theory and group socialization theory. The results show that literature provides social-psychological reasons for the popularity of some agile practices, but that scientific studies are needed to gather empirical evidence on these under-researched topics. Understanding deeper psychological theories could provide a better understanding of the psychological processes when building autonomous agile team, which could then lead to better predictability and intervention in relation to human factors.

Abstract:
AbstractIn this chapter, we review the literature on religion/spirituality (R/S) and the twin virtues of humility and gratitude. We focused on articles that were published in peer-reviewed journals and included both a measure of religion/spirituality and humility or gratitude. We focus our review by exploring two questions: (1) how is R/S associated with humility and gratitude, and (2) how might humility and gratitude work in tandem (consistent with the social oil hypothesis of humility)? We found cross-sectional evidence linking R/S and humility and gratitude. Additional work is needed to test the recent theory on how humility and gratitude may work together to promote and protect strong relationships, especially at the collective level. We suggest ways to catalyze research in this area, including the potential for future work aligning humility and gratitude. We also identify implications for practice both in clinical settings and religious communities.

Abstract:
AbstractAs an object of study, tipping points raise several questions for psychology. Unless one wants to use this term as a generic metaphor to indicate sudden change, any attempt to better define this concept has to take into account some fundamental psychological features including acceptance, promotion or resistance to change, the relationship between quantitative and qualitative transformations, the dynamics between individual, social and societal levels, and the relationship between psychological and environmental changes. All these facets refer to classical approaches and theorisations developed in the early 1900s as well as to more recent systemic models, including societal and cultural psychology approaches and proposals for a socio-ecological psychology. In this chapter, we will identify points of contact with classics such as Insights and Dynamics of field forces, Cognitive dissonance, Grievance, Bounded rationality, Coping, and Socio-dynamical approaches to social representations. Moreover, looking at the recent literature, we will highlight advances in our understanding of tipping points provided by cognitive, socioecological and systemic models. Common to all these views is the attempt to describe and explain the processes that favour or hinder qualitative transformation, both in terms of its perception and its enactment. In this chapter, we will provide an overview of the different approaches mentioned, which should be read more as an agenda for future research rather than an exhaustive review of state of the art.

Abstract:
The present work aims to address the role that psychology plays within literary works starting from a "critical" reading aimed at understanding and recognizing the psychological and in some works also psychopathological traits present within the texts. Our goal will be to present the conscious and unconscious aspects of the various characters and identify the reasons that prompted the author to create and analyze certain psychological issues and certain environmental situations. The methodology that will be used will mainly be that indicated by Professor Antonio Fusco which aims and which tends to enhance the contribution of the Author's conscious Ego, of the emotional centers and of the unconscious contents of the mind following in part the line of the psychiatrist Silvano Arieti who in one of his main works illustrates the concept of tertiary thinking and sees it as a synthesis of unconscious, endoceptual and conceptual elements [1]. The aspects that will allow you to better understand the facets of a literary work will be reading, knowledge of the author's biography and identifying with the characteristic features of the characters. On the relationship between mind, art, literature and psychoanalysis over time we have had numerous contributions from not only Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung, but also many other authors. Just think of the various writers who have dealt with very important psychological and psychoanalytic themes through their novels; in the present work we will limit our attention to a psychological investigation of the work Zeno's conscience by Italo Svevo. Through the analysis of the characters and their inner life, it will be our task to be able to make the reader identify completely with the life described by the authors of the literary works. In this perspective, the psychologist will try to work alongside the traditional literary critic with the sole propose of providing a further humble investigative contribution. In conclusion, it can be said that the thread that binds psychology to many literary works is very thin.

Abstract:
Psychoanalysis is a branch of science that focuses on the subconscious and unconscious aspects of human beings. “When it comes to the human soul, it is seen that almost the entire human ego is based on psychology.” (Emre, 2006: 16). The psychoanalytic literary theory is a theory that tries to reveal the unconscious and subconscious aspects of the artist in general, and is shaped on the theories of Sigmund Freud. This theory has a feature that reflects the bonds between the identity of the artist and his work. “Until Freud, the origin of human behavior was generally associated with physiology. After long studies, Freud reveals that the unconscious is as effective as physiological conditions and disorders on the basis of human behavior. (Cebeci, 2009: 72). Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, one of the important names of Turkish poetry in the Republican period, is generally known for his mystical and metaphysical poems. There are many uses in his poems that are suitable for psychoanalytic analysis. In the poems of Kısakürek, "subconscious and image, rebirth, sense of emptiness, self-complexity, struggle for existence" etc. elements are included. Key words: Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, Literary theory, Psychoanalytic.

In International Association of Cross Cultural Psychology Congress. International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.4087/hmtk2108.

Abstract:
Expatriate children and adolescents typically spend several of their formative years moving from country to country, frequently having to adapt to new cultures, making new friends, and fit into new school systems. It has been established in literature that such frequent changes may cause increased and prolonged risk of developing internalizing behavior problems such as depression and anxiety. However, little is still known regarding which protective factors serve as buffer towards the increased risk within the expatriate demographic. This study examined risk and protective factors among a group of expatriates, adolescents, and their parents, originating from 21 countries on five continents. Adolescent resilience was established through measuring risk and protective factors within three domains (i) individual, (ii) family, and (iii) school/community. In particular, the results indicated that adolescents’ sense of coherence, positive family climate, and satisfaction with school and friends, each predicted resilience significantly above other demographic factors. Interestingly, higher number of international moves did not predict adolescents’ resilience. The results imply that a coherent identity, high self-esteem, sense of “Third Cultural” group belonging, paired with a robust family environment, would promote resilience in the expatriate population. This may in turn serve as a buffer towards the negative effects caused by a stressful, transient upbringing.

Becoming a psychologist requires more than just acquiring the necessary competences. The emotional labour undergone when preparing for this job may be higher than in anyother specialty as it mainly requires one to solve their own personal issues beforehelping others deal with their own so as to dispute the counter-transfer. Allpsychotherapy schools start with at least one year of personal development. Knowing allthese, there is a large number of students enrolled in Psychology study programmes whostart their university studies thinking that this may be a way to avoid going to their ownpsychotherapist as they will learn all about it in their school years. However, they mayadmit this in one-on-one talks, but hesitate to state it in public. Focus groups were heldin order to identify psychology students reasons for choosing this specialty andperceptions on their own emotional and mental health as well as identifying thestrategies they use to promote their own well-being as students and future professionalsalike. The reasons for choosing this study programme guide the choice of well-beingstrategies. Also, the literature review revealed several techniques for promoting wellbeing, used in psychological research destined to improve students lives, and acomparison was made with the students answers.

Abstract:
The analysis of theories and models of radicalization existing in psychology and sociology is given. The complexity and transitivity of the world, the emerging methodological trends in psychology, the change of postmodern discourse to metamodernism require new psychological approaches to a research of this phenomenon, which can take into account the role of cultural factors and anthropological turn, as well as space and time as ontological constants of reality. Theoretical: theoretical and methodological analysis of scientific literature, comparison, generalization, interpretation. The paper summarizes a number of empirical studies of the authors related to the problems of extremism. The goal is to consider the evolution of ideas about the radicalization of protest activity and substantiate the high relevance of the subject-being approach to explain the problem of extremism. The authors distinguish six main theories and models that reveal the nature of radicalization: the theory of anomy (R. Merton), the theory of "relative deprivation" (T. Garr), the concept of an authoritarian personality (A. Adorno), a model of social identity in collective activity (M. Van Zomeren ), the model of radicalization (R. Borum), the model of radicalization (F. Mohaddam). The authors note the demand for a metamodern methodological strategy, which makes it possible to record personal transformations and construct new images of a person. The authors come to the conclusion that the substantive differences in approaches lie in the influence quantity of external determinants causing the emergence of radical attitudes. In the development of the theme of extremism, the main ones are the principle of the unity of the personality and its being, the methodological principle of subjectivity and the principle of uncertainty, which reveal additional nuances of the phenomenon that increases cognitive capabilities. The conditions of the subject-being approach are considered and the concept of protest activity is presented, based on the notions of "existential personal identity", "subjective activity", "subjectivity", revealing the reasons for negative transformation of personality, considering extremism as a violation of the developing configuration of identity. The subject-being approach to the personality is recognized as the most efficient theoretical and methodological basis for researching this problem, since it allows us to overcome the deficiency of the content given by the deterministic interpretation of radicalization.

Abstract:
My thesis solves problems of decision making when alternatives are characterized by multiple attributes, under natural restrictions on agents’ preferences that are motivated by practical and cognitive considerations. Computing optimal decisions in these settings is often hard in general. Fortunately, agents’ preferences often have some natural structure, which have been studied in cognitive psychology literature. This makes several important problems tractable. I identify cases where such structure accurately models preferences in real world data, and provide efficient mechanisms to compute optimal outcomes for important social choice problems with theoretical guarantees.

Abstract:
The development of the new era has given the new generation new psychological characteristics of loneliness. The purpose of this paper is to explore a new way to relieve loneliness, and to demonstrate that the interaction method and form of hugging with objects is useful for relieving loneliness. The new design and analysis method is used to verify that the ergonomic design of human fit and inductive hugging interaction function are useful for alleviating loneliness, proving that the emotional needs of users can be addressed by attaching hugging function and ergonomic redesign to specific products, providing a new direction for alleviating the psychological situation of contemporary lonely people and creating better products for alleviating loneliness. In this paper, a literature review is conducted in the early stage to outline the current research on the Internet and loneliness. Based on the starting point of hugging and fitting to relieve loneliness, a human-computer pillow with hugging function is designed. University students who meet the characteristics of the target user group are selected as the experimental research objects, and the questionnaire method is used to collect objective intelligence information by distributing online questionnaires to the research target group, and the interview method is used to conduct in-depth research on the target user group so as to deeply understand the users' psychology and identity. After collecting the relevant data, the data were statistically processed using mathematical tools, analyzed using SPSS and other analytical tools, and considered for its credibility, so as to verify the effect of hugs on alleviating loneliness. The experimental method and interview method were used to ask the test subjects about their feelings, so as to prove that the feeling of closeness has an effect on alleviating loneliness. This paper finds that the interaction action of hugging with objects and the ergonomically based sense of fit are useful for alleviating loneliness and can alleviate people's inner loneliness to a certain extent, which helps to focus on the new trend of loneliness psychology among young people based on the contemporary Internet society, design better loneliness relief products for lonely people and pay attention to the deep needs of users. Keywords: ergonomics, psychology, SPSS, loneliness, Internet, z era, interaction

Abstract:
To support transformative aims, scholars highlight a crucial need for increased attention to power dynamics in service design (SD). Current literature emphasizes the need for individual service designers to build reflexivity around power without much consideration for their surrounding context. This narrow focus may inadvertently reinforce existing power dynamics while using service designers as scapegoats for the persistent problem. Drawing from ecological theories in psychology, this article provides a framework for understanding the contextual factors that contribute to the lack of reflexivity around power dynamics among service designers. Based on our own experiences and a review of SD literature, we used this framework to identify domains of contextual factors that inhibit service designers to address power dynamics in practice. By proposing a systemic framework and identifying related contextual factors, this study helps to provide grounding for future research and action within the service design community regarding the structural changes needed to address power dynamics.

Abstract:
Psychological research suggests that engagement with diversity-relevant materials can have a positive impact on interracial relations. However, prior research also suggests that there may be individual differences in how effective exposure to critical diversity narratives would be in facilitating positive intergroup attitudes. The primary aim of this paper is to provide some empirically based theorizing about patterns of group identification and their relationship to effective diversity exposure. In this chapter, we discuss two examples of research that explore for whom engagement with critical diversity activities may facilitate increased perceptions of social inequality. We begin by conceptualizing four race-based identity profiles derived from orthogonal considerations of attachment and glorification. We discuss support for findings that suggest that scoring high on one dimension but not the other (mixed or mismatched identity profiles) constitutes the identity profiles most likely to facilitate openness to critical, potentially identity-threatening, diversity content.

Abstract:
This literature review aimed to provide insight into the situational, social, emotional and psychological roles of food and how variation among them influence buying and eating decisions. The report aims to respond to the following questions: What are the key psychological processes that we should consider when thinking about our food choices? What characteristics of a person, place or product can influence these processes? What approaches to influence food choice have been tried and found effective – and what is the psychology behind them? Which approaches to promoting positive food choices show the greatest promise? ‘Positive choices’ in this case infer those leading to better health or sustainability. How have inequalities been incorporated into research, and where is greater consideration needed? A scoping review of systematic reviews between 2016 and 2021 was conducted, with 39 reviews retrieved and used as primary evidence on which this report is based.

Review question / Objective: The research uses the PICOS method to determine the topic and research objectives. PICOS stands for population, intervention, comparison, outcomes and study. PICOS is one of the guidelines that is often used in quantitative research in systematic research literature reviews (Eriksen & Frandsen, 2018). This study intends to determine how the influence of adolescent self-regulation of emotions on academic achievement. Condition being studied: In the process of achieving high academic achievement, apart from the role of cognitive factors, non-cognitive factors also play an important role. In psychology, there are non-cognitive variables called emotion self-regulation. Many previous studies have investigated this matter. However, researchers have not found a systematic literature review that discusses the effect of emotion self-regulation on adolescent academic achievement.

Abstract:
Doctoral students have higher rates of mental ill health than comparable populations. Contributors include institutional stressors such as competitive fields, uncertain futures and liminal professional identity. This exploratory study drew on social psychology, taking a broad narrative approach, to explore what professional (academic) communities postgraduate researchers (PGRs) identify with, and how these identifications relate to wellbeing. Focus groups were conducted with social science and humanities PGRs in three UK Russell Group universities. PGRs experiences were diverse, but common themes related to ambiguity about their roles as students and researchers; the precariousness of academic careers; commitments to scholarly research; the importance of validation from supervisors and the wider academic community; and the particular challenges when other social roles (e.g. relating to ethnicity or parenthood) align poorly with academic roles. Key conclusions are the importance of validating and supportive research communities that did not necessarily map onto departments or disciplines; meaningful and practically empowering supervisory relationships, which can serve as a buffer against stress and uncertainty; and the relative paucity of ‘postgraduate/doctoral researcher/student’ as a social identity.

This blogpost addresses the question of how ethnic identities (and societal divisions) in the city of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, are expressed through football and considers how this dominates the city’s linguistic landscape. It is therefore embedded in the context of previous literature on sport and identity but also the discipline of sociolinguistics. The post discusses the prominence of street murals and graffiti relating to Mostar’s two football clubs, FK Velež Mostar and HŠK Zrinjski Mostar, outlining how the situation is very much territorially divided along the same geographical points of the ethnic conflict in the early 1990s

Abstract:
The article deals with the technology of visualizing fictional text (poetry) with the help of emoji symbols in the Emoji Maker platform that not only activates students’ thinking, but also develops creative attention, makes it possible to reproduce the meaning of poetry in a succinct way. The application of this technology has yielded the significance of introducing a computer being emoji in the study and mastering of literature is absolutely logical: an emoji, phenomenologically, logically and eidologically installed in the digital continuum, is separated from the natural language provided by (ethno)logy, and is implicitly embedded into (cosmo)logy. The technology application object is the text of the twentieth century Cuban poet José Ángel Buesa. The choice of poetry was dictated by the appeal to the most important function of emoji – the expression of feelings, emotions, and mood. It has been discovered that sensuality can reconstructed with the help of this type of meta-linguistic digital continuum. It is noted that during the emoji design in the Emoji Maker program, due to the technical limitations of the platform, it is possible to phenomenologize one’s own essential-empirical reconstruction of the lyrical image. Creating the image of the lyrical protagonist sign, it was sensible to apply knowledge in linguistics, philosophy of language, psychology, psycholinguistics, literary criticism. By constructing the sign, a special emphasis was placed on the facial emogram, which also plays an essential role in the transmission of a wide range of emotions, moods, feelings of the lyrical protagonist. Consequently, the Emoji Maker digital platform allowed to create a new model of digital presentation of fiction, especially considering the psychophysiological characteristics of the lyrical protagonist. Thus, the interpreting reader, using a specific digital toolkit – a visual iconic sign (smile) – reproduces the polylaterial metalinguistic multimodality of the sign meaning in fiction. The effectiveness of this approach is verified by the poly-functional emoji ousia, tested on texts of fiction.
