Abstract:
Violence against women is a criminal act. It involves not only in personal domain, but also within social arenas. It could be happened in social life, such as the fact of sexual harassment at work. Through qualitative retrospective cross-sectional methods, the study aimed to explore the contextual factors of sexual harassment which have occurred overseas among women migrant workers from Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia. Several factors altogether were identi ed as logical elements contributing to the existence of sexual harassment, composed of personal factors, relationship, working environment and structural regulation. The poor mechanism of placing Indonesian workers overseas was also perceived as an exacerbating factor to the presence of the conducts. Sexual harassment was more likely happened for female migrants in young age, low skill, and poor language in host countries. Several kinds of dependencies upon employers, such as administrative dependency, social and economic dependencies, and the existence of con ict at work were identi ed as other precipitating factors to the malpractice.

Abstract:
This paper identifies challenges that English as a foreign language (EFL) novice teachers in Indonesia may face in developing a professional identity, which, in this paper, refers to becoming a practitioner of cooperative learning. Cooperative learning is a mandated teaching method both in the 2006 and 2013 Indonesian curriculum, and is under the umbrella of Communicative Language Teaching approach that has been adopted by English instruction in Indonesia since 1980s. This approach stresses interaction between language learners and the use of the target language in this interaction. Drawing on four related theories of development of selves (Wenger’s Concepts of Community of Practice, Lave and Wenger’s Concepts of Situat- ed Learning: Legitimate Peripheral Participation, Gee’s Sociocultural Views of Identity, and Holland, Lachicotte, Skinner, and Cain’s Concepts of Identi- ty and Agency in Cultural Worlds), four challenges to the development of the target professional identity are identified: (1) the unavailability of community of cooperative learning practitioners, (2) hegemony vs. identity development, (3) agency in the midst of tensions, and (4) institutional identity vs. professional identity. These interconnected and overlapping challenges suggest novice EFL teachers to possess agency to attain the target identity and suggest teacher education programs to equip their student teachers with knowledge and skills of teacher identity development and agency.

In the article systems of Indo-European word formation of self-identi fi cation names of communities, which in the IX-III millennium BC mastered the natural liv-ing space in the center and north of the modern Kytaihorod rural territorial commu-nity of Kamianets-Podilskyi district of Khmelnytskyi region have been analyzed. It has been proved that in the structure of archaic oikonyms, which denote specifi c set-tlements of the studied region, relicts of self-names of local prehistoric communities have been preserved. It is substantiated that the inheritance in the Ukrainian language of self-identifi cation names of ancient peoples proves the linguistic and ethnic con-nection of the original inhabitants of the region with the Ukrainian people. Thus, the use in studies of Indo-European word formation systems of self-identifying names of ancient Ukrainian communities of philosophy of language by W. von Humboldt, the teachings of O.O. Abstract:
The article presents an analysis of the names and logotypes of companies, associations and other organiza-tions operating for the benefit of the d/Deaf in Poland. The analysis concerns the relationship between the name (its meaning) and the way of identifying the community of d/Deaf people. The description covers both the names and graphic elements, and their symbolism, which are present in the logotypes. The findings of cognitive methodology are used to read the correlation between the name, its logotype and the values identi-fied with the d/Deaf. The analysis covers 50 social chrematonims and logotypes of institutions from Poland who promote their activities on the Facebook social network or on Polish websites. The material collected allows one to notice that the most common way of identification with the d/Deaf community is the use of meanings and symbols of Polish Sign Language (PJM), which is one of the most important values creating the image of the Deaf as a linguistic and cultural minority.

Abstract:
For the first time, the textual features of two shamanic texts dedicated to the deities of the Upper World are considered. The purpose of the work was to compare these works and identi-fy common syntagmatic (compositional, stylistic) and semantic (characters, sacred chronotope) elements. The main research method is the structural-semiotic method, which allows considering these cultural texts as signs. Despite the fact that these texts differ greatly in their volume and poetic language, they have common elements. Different shamans performed these texts and at different times with the communicative aim to obtain the blessing of the light dei-ties, the souls for the birth of children. Common elements are observed both in semantics (in the organization of sacred space, in the time of rituals, in the system of characters) and in syntagmatics and style. The addressees of the rituals were deities and spirits, and the acting characters were people. The names of the deities of the Upper World embodied the personifi-cation of the sky and natural phenomena, characteristic of archaic mythologies. The syntag-matic structure of the texts is characterized by certain stability of the poetic structure of the texts, supported by repeated episodes of the shamanic rite, common places, and poetic formu-las. The presence of formulas indicates a common poetic shamanic tradition of the Altaians and the Teleuts.

Abstract:
Teacher education programs prepare candidates for bilingual, English as a second language, or special ed¬ucation as separate professionals. This creates challenges when teaching bilingual children with disabilities. There is a need to cross boundaries combining expertise and preparing teachers for children’s uniqueness. Re¬sponding to this need, the researchers organized a change laboratory with 14 professors and two State Depart¬ment of Education consultants. The study explored boundary expressions and their relationship to the larger activity. It also looked at the learning that took place during boundary crossing efforts. Boundaries were identi¬fied around bilingual teacher preparation, cross-disciplinary programmatic, and paradigmatic aspects. While boundary crossing at the intrapersonal level and at the interpersonal level were important, the need to engage multiple institutions was centered. In addition, the discussion manifested that for inclusive bilingual education teacher preparation, there was a need to go beyond the institutional level to reach to policy makers and address the sociopolitical resistance against bilingual education. Throughout the study, participants engaged primarily in the epistemic learning actions of analyzing and modeling. Through volitional actions, the participants real¬ized a renewed object for their activity. This study widens the understanding of possibilities for taking shared educational responsibility through boundary crossing between professionals in preparation programs.

Abstract:
SummaryObjectives: To develop an automated method for extracting and structuring numeric lab test comparison statements from text and evaluate the method using clinical trial eligibility criteria text. Methods: Leveraging semantic knowledge from the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) and domain knowledge acquired from the Internet, Valx takes seven steps to extract and normalize numeric lab test expressions: 1) text preprocessing, 2) numeric, unit, and comparison operator extraction, 3) variable identification using hybrid knowledge, 4) variable – numeric association, 5) context-based association filtering, 6) measurement unit normalization, and 7) heuristic rule-based comparison statements verification. Our reference standard was the consensus-based annotation among three raters for all comparison statements for two variables, i.e., HbA1c and glucose, identi -fied from all of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes trials in ClinicalTrials.gov.Results: The precision, recall, and F-measure for structuring HbA1c comparison statements were 99.6%, 98.1%, 98.8% for Type 1 diabetes trials, and 98.8%, 96.9%, 97.8% for Type 2 diabetes trials, respectively. The pre -cision, recall, and F-measure for structuring glucose comparison statements were 97.3%, 94.8%, 96.1% for Type 1 diabetes trials, and 92.3%, 92.3%, 92.3% for Type 2 diabetes trials, respectively. Conclusions: Valx is effective at extracting and structuring free-text lab test comparison statements in clinical trial summaries. Future studies are warranted to test its generaliz-ability beyond eligibility criteria text. The open-source Valx enables its further evaluation and continued improvement among the collaborative scientific community.

"Infantilization of the Older Generation as a Factor of their Self-Limiting Attitudes and Practices." Теория и практика общественного развития, no. 10 (October 2020): 23–28. http://dx.doi.org/10.24158/tipor.2020.10.3.

Abstract:
The paper raises the problem of the negative impact of patronizing attitude towards older people on their life practices, which is one of the manifestations of ageism. Patronizing behavior that is implemented towards the older generation in the form of simpli-fied language, exaggerated intonations, slow speech, a tendency to make decisions about the life of an elderly person, ignoring his opinion, etc., in turn, can have an infantilizing effect on the elderly person, forcing him to take a subordinate position. The study, based on empirical data, proves that this, in turn, causes self-limiting practices of older peo-ple. Representatives of the older generation who succumb to the influence of the negative social construct of old age transmitted by others, and as a result adopt a subordinate position, have higher risks of minimizing interpersonal, social and creative activity. Their way of life, in comparison with those who oppose the patronizing attitude or evaluate it negatively, is more focused on the “generally ac-cepted”. They are more likely to abandon their goals, plans, due to their own idea that at their age they are “not up to the task”, less often they act contrary to the opinion of others “about the right and wrong at this age”, refusing to defend their position. Accept-ing the patronizing attitude with gratitude, at the same time, they are more likely than those who are annoyed by this attitude to ignore health-saving practices, considering that diseases are an indis-pensable attribute of old age, so it is pointless to fight them. They are more likely to give up pleasures, joys, desired things in favor of younger people, con-sidering themselves unworthy of them. In conclu-sion, the article suggests ways to solve the identi-fied problem.

Abstract:
The article aims to solve the problem of inducing interactivity in the text of a printed educational phraseological dictionary. The relevance of the problem is justified by the user request of today’s school students and confirmed by psychologists’ conclusions about the features of children’s memory and perception in the postindustrial infor-mation society. The features of innovative interactive dictionaries prepared by the Pskov Laboratory of Educational Lexicography are shown against the background of the achievements of Russian and foreign educational phraseography. The authors pre-sent to students the linguistic properties of idioms and their cultural background identi-fied by the methods of historical-etymological, functional-semantic and linguocultural analysis in a series of interactive phraseological dictionaries, including: an entertaining etymological dictionary, a dictionary-workshop, a plot phraseological dictionary, and a game dictionary-quest. This variety of phraseographic genres is explained by the need to form a genre perception of the text and the role of phraseology in this text, which is also facilitated by the implementation of the principle of interactivity in the construc-tion of dictionary entries. The text interactivity in educational phraseological dictionaries of all these genres is achieved through techniques of dialogization of a lexicographic text, its hypertext structuring and game manipulation. Methods of dialogization of a phraseographic text (lexical-syntactic and compositional) ensure the inclusion of the child-recipient in the study of the origin of phraseology together with the characters of plot dictionary entries and their authors, motivate the student to perform cognitive creative tasks and give real feedback with the authors of the dictionary in the format of e-mail communication. Hypertextuality as an integral property of an interactive dictionary, which also stimulates the reader’s cognitive activity, is implemented in the paper format of the dictionary by referring to various external sources of infor-mation, cross-references in dictionary entries, and the use of surprise navigators. Game technologies of a lexicographic text construction are used at all levels of phra-seological units’ representation – from including phraseological game transforma-tions in the characters’ dialogues, which is typical of modern speech, to structuring the entire information and cognitive field of the dictionary as a search and etymolo-gical game-quest. Thus, the feasibility of developing innovative educational dictiona-ries in accordance with the concept of their interactivity is proved: this will ensure the availability of the material and, at the same time, the completeness and academic reliability of the representation of phraseological units as units of language and facts of Russian culture.

Abstract:
The article examines the problems of national, civic, patriotic upbringing, which are especially relevant to the period of intensifi cation of state-building processes. Natural is appealing to the period of Ukrainian statehood in the ear-ly twentieth century, the period of forming the Kamyanets-Podilskyi National University (fi rst rector – Ivan Ohiienko) as a powerful center of citizenship of the Ukrainian people, the establishment of national consciousness, the revival of the Ukrainian language. Emphasis is placed on the insuffi cient level of eff ective-ness of national and civic upbringing, in the context informational- reproductive education. It’s substantiated the position, that projection provides practically ori-entated process, as its results are diagnosed and serve as a factor in programming each subsequent stage of development, based on the results of the previous one.The need to comprehension of the essence and mechanisms of national and civic upbringing is indicated by the model of competence education, the basis of which is determined by personality-oriented technologies. The essence of such a mechanism of national, civic education as identifi ca-tion / self-identifi cation is interpreted. It is pointed out that national, civic identi-ty is responsible for the processes of identifi cation with the relevant nation, com-munity, socio-cultural space, accepting its basic identifi ers (values, traditions, behavioral patterns). It’s also emphasized. that the absolutization or dominance of national identifi cation processes involves risks of confl ict in a multicultural environment, so ideally national identity should be transformed into national-civic, which integrates a sense of belonging not only to the nation but also to the people, state. It is argued that the eff ectiveness of the process of national-civic identifi cation of the individual will be determined by the extent to which he will acquire a tendency to move to the level of self-identifi cation. The article highlights the pedagogical requirements and conditions for the development of national and civic identity in the competence type of the education system. Particular attention is paid to ensuring constructive interdependence and coop-eration of educational systems within the educational space of each educational institution (school, college, higher education institution).

Abstract:
The article considers the possibility of applying the term ideasthesia to linguistic material. This term refers to word combinations usually classified as synesthetic metaphors, despite the fact that they do not imply multimodality, because only one of the words contains a sensory semantic component (e. g. bitter love, sweet desire). The research is based on a parallel multilingual corpus including the original text of V.Nabokov’s Lolita in English (1955) and its Russian (1967) and French (1959, 2001) translations. The work’s objective is to determine the place of ideasthesia in the context of the study of linguistic synaesthesia and to examine the semantic structure of ideasthetic word combinations. Ideasthetic word combinations are being considered in comparison with synaesthetic (both words contain sensory semantic component related to different modalities) and monosthetic ones (both words contain sensory semantic components related to the same modality). In total, 637 word combinations have been identi-fied, 73% of which are ideastetic, 20% are synaesthetic, and 7% are monostetic. 465 phrases with ideasthesia have been analysed. The classification of lexical groups interacting with sensory vocabulary in ideasthetic word combinations have been proposed. 11 semantic classes have been identified: anthroponyms (19% of the total number of ideasthetic contexts), emotions and feelings (17%), time periods (12%), qualities of a person (10%), discourse (10%), physical actions (9%), mental actions and states (7%), physical characteristics (7%), physical sensations (5%), body parts (2%), and toponyms (2%).

Abstract:
The paper analyzes the structural models of Ket possessive constructions. The means of ex-pressing possessive construction components and the ways of marking possessive relations between the first possessive construction component denoting the subject of possession (a possessor) and the second component indicating the object of possession (a possessum) are considered. The study is based on the conception proposed by E. Vajda, according to which the possessive markers are possessive pronominal clitics, used as either clitics or proclitics, depending on the context. Two-component and multiple-component constructions are identi-fied. The two-component constructions contain a possessor, a possessum, and a linking mark-er, the semantic scope of which is a possessum. The non-expanded and expanded possessive constructions are analyzed. Both the first and the second substantive component of the two-component construction may be expanded by an attribute. The two-component constructions having a possessor expanded by an attribute are characterized by a distant ordering of a pos-sessor noun and a possessum noun, including distant positions of a possessive proclitic and a possessum noun. The derivative processes of transforming possessive constructions are con-sidered. The rising derivation process consists of embedding one more possessor into the con-struction with an original possessor. Both possessors are marked by appropriate possessive pronominal clitics. It is found that in Ket, the recessive derivation of omitting a possessor noun expressed by a personal pronoun stem is available as well, resulting in a construction with a non-expressed (omitted) possessor. The corresponding possessive pronominal clitic attaching proclitically to possessum noun is overtly retained at the surface morphosyntactic level.

Ili povas lerni per tia serioza dialogo, čar ili trovos, ke iliaj propraj iniciatoj dividas kun tiu kulturo (kiel scia praktiko) multajn ŝlosilajn premisojn kaj celojn.

Speakers of English often understand ethnic and racial differences in terms of food imagery. It is quite common in this language to encounter metaphors presenting different groups of people in terms of beans, rice, bread, cheese, apples or chocolate. Given the cognitive and social force of metaphor in our understanding of the world and of ourselves as well as the important role language plays as a channel through which ideas and beliefs are transmitted and perpetuated, such food images may offer a window on the (de)construction of ethnic identi-ties and, ultimately, hide racist views against others who are different because of their skin color, physical features, languages and, obviously, diets.

Abstract:
This study examines the identi? cation by Finns of foreign residents in Finland by analyzing data from a representative sample survey carried out in 2002. When people were asked to name a group of foreigners residing in Finland, the majority ?rst mentioned Somalis, despite the fact that only 4 percent of foreign residents are Somali and 6 percent of foreign-language speakers speak Somali. The general tendency when identifying resident foreigners is to refer primarily to ethnic or national groups; references to status (e.g. refugee, return migrant, guest worker) or religion (e.g. Muslim) are rare in the survey. In terms of ethnicity, identifying foreign residents in Finland is inconsistent, particularly as Russians and Estonians, the two largest groups, are not readily seen as foreign residents. The prevalence of answering Somalis could be considered an outcome of the maximally visible difference between Finns and Somalis. A logistic regression analysis is used to examine whether identifying resident foreigners differs according to socio-economic and educational characteristics, age, gender, region, and attitude towards the number of resident foreigners in Finland. The variables that signi? cantly in? uence the probability of answering Somalis and Russians are the respondents region, age, attitude towards the number of foreign residents in Finland, and to some extent, gender and higher education. Respondents occupational status, vocational education or income does not have a signi? cant impact on the answers. Regional differences appear to be a major factor affecting how foreigners are identi? ed, which shows that although the need to consider resident foreigners as visibly, culturally and linguistically maximally different may be a nearly universal base line for creating difference and identity, identifying foreign residents in Finland is not entirely independent of demographic realities.

Abstract:
With implementation of new born hearing screening, the age of diagnosis for hearing loss and cochlear implantation age in children has been reduced to 9 months of age by recent FDAcriteria. Benets of early identication and rehabilitation of hearing loss is valuable. But we also need to be aware of the fact that there are chances of missing the diagnosis of other childhood communication disorders like Autism if manifested along with hearing loss, the reasons being the symptoms of autism spectrum disorder as given by Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM V) may not be picked up earlier than two years and also because of diagnostic overshadowing .Some of the symptoms of autism such as deciency of language, lack of attention, lack of eye contact and clumsiness can be mistaken as symptoms of hearing impairment. This report describes the case study of a 4-year-old female child with hearing loss and autism who was evaluated by a multidisciplinary team of professionals. We call attention to the expected outcome, the need to counsel the caretakers regarding expected outcome, type of therapy and the need for a multidisciplinary team regarding candidacy for CI, continuous support for behavioral management and assessment of outcomes.

Abstract:
Background: In India, the frontline health workers (medical ofcers and health inspectors) play an important role in conducting syndromic surveillance, analysing data, identifying disease trends based on trigger levels and responding in their catchment areas. In this context, it is useful to understand the role of the health workers in the event of an outbreak investigation and response. Method: Using an interview guide the health workers were asked questions regarding the interviewee's opinion on the training, outbreak investigation preparedness and response, the difculties faced during investigation. The health workers of primary, block and district health care levels of a district of Tamil Nadu were interviewed during March to May 2018. The interview was conducted in the language comfortable to the participant and audio recorded with prior consent. We transcribed the responses in Tamil to English verbatim with the help of the translator. Following transcription of all the records the information was analysed using the method of thematic analysis. Results: We interviewed 13 medical ofcers and 6 health inspectors from all the three tiers of the public health system. We identied key challenges during an outbreak investigation including; failure to prepare prior to an outbreak, missing cases in an outbreak, blanket measures following outbreak investigation, poor community response and non-availability of funds. However, digital initiatives were also taken by health workers to overcome these challenges. Conclusion: We conclude that though health workers faced operational challenges digital initiatives and ensuring accountability to duties helped in supporting the health system even in the face of challenges. We recommend timely training of health workers and involving the community members through volunteer programmes to ensure ownership of health issues in the community.

Abstract: Due to the multiples treatments needed to deal with diseases related to ageing, prescriptions to elderly patients are normally complexes and difficult to be followed. This situation can be worsen by the typical cognitive decline observed on people at this life period age range, being the fail to remember one of the main reasons why elderly are strong candidates to non-adhesion to medical prescription. Recent studies about memory in the elderly have been demonstrated that the use of prospective memory strategies by patients at this age range can contribute for a better therapeutic adherence. The present study aimed to identify memory strategies used by elderly to remind themselves of their medications. The sample was 53 non-institutionalized elderly at the age range between 60 and 70 years old, with independency to perform their daily tasks, which used at least 3 prescription drugs continuously. A questionnaire, for identification of the memory strategies used by the elderly to remind themselves about their prescription drugs, was adapted to the portuguese language and brazilian reality. The adherence to the medical prescriptions was assessed by self-report. The instruments were applied to the elderly through individual structured interview. The results of this study indicated a high level of internal retrospective strategies among the elderly interviewed, as well as a high level (73.6%) of self-reported adherence, that reinforces previous findings about the tendency of elderly to overestimate their adhesion to medical prescription. The use of memory strategies can minimize or compensate the mnemonic difficulties observed in the elderly, such the ones to follow a therapeutic regimen, and help to preserve their autonomy and quality of life. Keywords: Prospective memory. Memory strategies. Adherence prescription. Elderly.

Abstract:
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the most common infections after respiratory tract infections. UTIs are frequent during pregnancy, affecting as many as 8% of pregnant women. The presence of discernible bacteria in the urine is known as bacteriuria. The overall prevalence of bacteriuria in pregnancy is estimated to be 4–7%. Most importantly, UTI in pregnancy is mainly related to poor hygiene and the low socio-economic status of developing countries. A total of 38 urine samples were collected for the study. The samples were collected from the patients within the period of 01/10/2020–31/09/2021 at the Government medical College hospital, Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu. For this study, pregnancy cases were taken. Escherichia coli is the common cause of UTI and is responsible for about 70-80% of acute infections in the general population and 50% of hospital-acquired infections. Gram-negative bacteria (78.9%) including E. coli, Pseudomonas, and Klebsiella species were identied. Gram-positive bacteria (21.0%), staphylococcus and streptococcus were identied. Antimicrobial resistance is one of the considerable causes of treatment failure for UTI. Antibiotic resistance highlights the need for stronger action and the adoption of rules that limit the use of antibiotics.

Abstract:
Background and Objectives: Paranasal sinus anatomy is complex and rather variable from person to person. Gender determination is an important step in human identication in forensic medicine. Radiographs are used in forensic medicine for the identication of humans especially in cases where the body is decomposed, fragmented, or burned. The maxillary sinus is the largest of the four paranasal sinuses and its measurements are valuable in studying sexual dimorphism. Maxillary sinuses remain intact, although the skull and other bones may be badly disgured in victims who are incinerated. Therefore, this study was undertaken to examine and measure dimensions of maxillary sinus as observed on maxillary sinus radiographs and propose the use of the same, as an aid in gender determination. Materials and Methods: Maxillary sinus views of 50 healthy patients (25 males and 25 females) were taken using Kodak 8000 C Digital and Panoramic and Cephalometric system (73 Kvp. 12mA, 10.7s) and measurements made using Master View 3.0 software. Results: The total studied sample composed of 50 patients; the results were based on two study groups: the male group (composed of 25 patients) and female group (composed of 25patients). In the current study, the size of the maxillary sinuses of the female was found to be smaller than those of men. The width of right maxillary sinus, the height of right maxillary sinus and left maxillary sinus and the total width across right and left maxillary sinus showed statistically signicant differences at a p value of .007, .020, .008 and .005 respectively. The present study showed that the accuracy rate for identication of males was 76% and for females was 60%. From the observations of our study, we found signicant differences in dimensionsConclusion: of maxillary sinuses between males and females. Background and Objectives: Identication means determination of individuality of a person. Identication is important for legal, humanitarian reasons, in solving criminal cases, problems of inheritance, funeral rites. The estimation of sex is one of the pillars of forensic identication. The tooth organ is the hardest organ in the human body, with a loose connective tissue of dental pulp situated within a rigid encasement of mineralized surrounding tissues. Sex can be determined by the study of X&Y chromosomes in the cells which are not undergoing active division. X chromatin in its inactivated form is present as a mass against the nuclear membrane in females is known as Barr body. Presence or absence of X chromosome can be studied from buccal smears, skin biopsy, blood, cartilage, hair root sheath, and tooth pulp. The present study was undertaken to identify and evaluate the presence of X chromatin in dental pulp as an indicator in gender identity. The study was performed on healthy premolars, from a total of Materials and Methods: 80 subjects inclusive of 40 teeth extracted from males and 40 teeth extracted from females after informed consent. The collected tooth specimens were divided in to two groups. Group I consisted of 20 teeth from males, 20 teeth from females. Group II consisted of 20 teeth from males, 20 teeth from females. Group I premolars were immediately preserved in 10% formalin solution for upto 7 days. Group II premolars were buried in mud at room temperature for 4 months. The dental pulp tissues were conventionally extirpated and stained with hematoxylin & eosin stain. All the blinded sections of the dental pulp were observed for X chromatin/Barr bodies systematically using an Olympus BX53 microscope with a 100x magnication. I Results: n group I, Dental pulp was positive for X chromatin in 100% females for up to 7days with 100% accuracy. In group II, Dental pulp was positive for X chromatin in 45% of females after 4 months with 45% accuracy. The accuracy of identifying X chromatin in dental pulp diminished over a period of time. Dental pulp was negative for X chromatin in teeth of 100% males both at 7days (Group I) & 4 months (Group II). The identication of X chromatin in dental pulp as a gender deter Conclusion: minant can be ascertained with high reliability within 7 days of time. Abstract:
Introduction: Incidental thyroid malignancy is the term applied to unsuspected cancer identied incidentally on pathologic examination of thyroid tissue removed for benign disease. Early detection and treatment of thyroid cancer helps in decreasing the morbidity and mortality of the patient. There have been very few studies related to incidental thyroid carcinoma in this part of the world. Therefore, this study can act as a baseline study for further research. Materials And Methods: From October 2020 to October 2022, 50 patients with multinodular goiter who fullled the inclusion criteria were selected. These patients were subjected to detailed history taking, clinical examination and preoperative workup. History, clinical examination ndings, investigations, operative and the post-operative ndings were recorded in detail in a proforma. Outcome measurement was done by comparing the nal histopathological report with clinical diagnosis and FNAC report. Results:Among the 50 patients with a female: male ratio of 4:1, majority (44%) belonged to 40-50 years of age group. Out of the 50 patients with preoperatively benign multinodular goiter, Postoperative histopathological report came as malignant among 7 patients (14 %), all of them were females. The commonest type of incidental thyroid malignancy among the studied population was micro papillary carcinoma, being present in 4 of the 7 cases (57.15%). Papillary carcinoma was found in 3 patients (42.85%). Conclusion: There is a trend towards rise in the incidence of incidental thyroid cancers. Total thyroidectomy as initial surgery for benign disorders reduces the morbidity of second surgery. Identifying incidental thyroid cancers early can help in planning denitive management early and thus achieving cure in the patients

Abstract:
Introduction: Proteus spp. has been the signicant cause of wound infections as they commonly colonize the wound. Simultaneously multiple drug resistance mechanisms also pose a therapeutic challenge. P.penneri is commonly misidentied as P.mirabilis which is multidrug resistant. Aim and objectives: The current study was conducted to determine the prevalence of MBLs in P.penneri among wound infections at a tertiary care hospital from Western Maharashtra. Material and Methods: Specimens collected from wounds of OPD and IPD patients were examined by standard bacteriological methods. All Proteus isolates were subjected to Antimicrobial susceptibility and MBL production test as per CLSI guidelines. Results: Total 1826 wound samples were screened over the period of May 2017 to July 2018. Overall prevalence of Proteus spp. was 7.12%, P.mirabilis being the commonest. Among all isolates 53.68% and 37.04% of P.mirabilis and P.vulgaris were ESBL producers, respectively. The rate for MBL production was 11.58% and 0% for P.mirabilis and P.vulgaris, respectively. On the contrary 75% of P.penneri isolates were ESBL producers and 12.5% were MBL producers. Discussion and conclusion: Emergence of ESBL and MBL producers is of special concern as Proteus spp. is intrinsically resistant to tigecycline and colistin. Identication of P.penneri from clinical specimens is necessary, due to its multidrug resistance which makes clinical treatment extremely difcult. This will limit its control and eradication especially from wound infections as they are common colonizers. Therefore isolation of such beta lactamases producing P.penneri shall be considered as an alarming sign to control the spread of this superbug.

Abstract:
Efcient interventionist proposals for overweight and obesity depend on how the person feels, thinks, and acts. This is possible through the body analysis, a technique that, based on the structural forms of the body, allows the determination of individually percentages of characters traces (schizoid, oral, psychopathic, masochist and rigid). The objective of this study was to verify the relation between overweight or obesity and characters traces. This is an observational, transverse, retrospective study, described with secondary data obtained from the records of a training school in body analysis between 2018 and 2022. A total of 838 people participated in this study, being excluded those participants who did not lled out their height and weight. The Map of Characters instrument was used to identify the prole of the body identication; the sociodemographic prole and habits were evaluated by an original questionnaire, and the quality-of-life contents, using the WHOQOL-BREF. Individual BMI was calculated and three groups were determined: eutrophic ((18,5 ≥ IMC < 25); overweight (25 ≥ BMI < 30) and obese (BMI ≥ 30.0). With 95% condence intervals, the variables were described from frequency distributions, media, and standard deviation in the univariate analysis. In the bivariate analysis, the Chi-square and the Kruskall-Wallis test were used. The variables that, at this stage, presented a descriptive level (p-value) up to 0.20 were selected for the multiple analysis, which used the Multinomial Logistic Regression model and estimated the adjusted odds ratios (OR) with respective (OR). The Deviance test and Pseudo-R 2 of Nagelkerke's evaluated the quality of the setting. The IBM SPSS software version 23.0 was used in all analyses. It was noticed an isolated and combined increase in the percentage of Oral and Masochist traces in relation to the overweight and obese groups, while the Schizoid, Psychopathic and Rigid traces had their percentages decreased. The chances of overweight and obesity were signicantly higher in individuals with below average quality of life and a higher percentage of emotional dependence.

Abstract:
Introduction: Community acquired pneumonia (CAP) is one of the most common and morbid conditions encountered in clinical practice. Changes in the epidemiology (both emergence of new pathogens and changing antimicrobial susceptibility of old ones) of the various pathogens, difculty in making an etiologic diagnosis and complex guidelines for management make this illness a challenge for both patients and their physicians. Hence the current study is done for better understanding of the pattern of the disease and the risk factors that are associated with fatal complications which allows for provision of the best possible treatment to the patients that would limit the morbidity and reduce the mortality. Material And Methods: After institutional ethical committee clearance a prospective observational study was done in 50 adult patients diagnosed with CAP in a tertiary care hospital from December 2018- July 2019 after obtaining patients consent. Patients with TB, other pneumonia, malignancy and HIV were excluded. All patients were subjected to complete history taking, detailed clinical examination and required investigations. Data entered in Excel represented in graphs and tables. Statistical analysis was done with chi-square test with P<0.05 as signicant using SPSS 22. Out of the 50 patients 32 were males and 18 were females. T Results: he mean age of the patients was 50.7 +/- 15.4yrs. The most common symptom was found to be cough which was found in all the 50(100%) patients, followed by expectoration (45/90%), fever ( 40/80%), dyspnea (28/56%) and chest pain (22/44%). The most common comorbidity was COPD (25/50%) followed by DM (16/32%). On sputum examination gram positive organisms was seen in 13(26%), gram negative in 12(24%), both staining in 3(6%) samples. On culture and sensitivity Streptococcus.pneumonie was the most common isolate in 22% followed by klebsiella pneumonia. Complications were identied in 10 patients. Mortality was seen in 7 (14%) patients. Mean age was more in patients w Conclusions: ith complications compared to patients without complications which were signicant. Patients with complications were signicantly associated with history of smoking and positive sputum culture. Out of the 50 patients only 5(10%) patients required intubation and ventilation, and 10(20%) patients required non-invasive ventilation.
