Abstract:
The IDEF techniques have been developed in projects sponsored by the US Air Force in order to describe, specify and model manufacturing systems in a structured graphical form. These techniques can be classified in two categories: the “modelling” and the “descriptive” varieties. Compares two IDEF methods (one of the modelling type and one of the descriptive type) in order to represent (model or describe) two different aspects of an industrial organization. The methods compared are IDEF0, function modelling method, and IDEF3, process flow description capture method. Concludes that when considering the sequencing of the activities in process, aiming at highlighting their eventual simultaneity, then IDEF3 is more suitable, for its capability of splitting the flow of control from a single stream into several branches or joining several branches into a single stream. However, when it is necessary to direct attention on the objects which participate in the process, whether control, input, output or mechanism, then the use of IDEF0 is preferable.

Abstract:
Integrated Product Development Process (IPDP) oriented for Assistive Technology (AT) usually engages multidisciplinary areas for design development. The involvement of professionals from different areas contributes to strengthening the IPDP phases, but a major barrier is the correct interpretation and understanding of the information shared by them, which allows the addressing of the product’s requirements and the feeding of the design structure. This paper aims to outline the first steps of the IPDP oriented for TA using the Integrated Definition Methods (IDEF) tool applied to a device design to assist in the training of athletes with visual disabilities. This step of the process focused on Object-Oriented Design Method (IDEF4) and Ontology Capture Method (IDEF5) from IDEF family. The result shows that through the use of the IDEF method oriented for the design of an AT product, the information sharing and the design global aspect to all team members was favored, promoting better communication.

Combining with production features of the machining shop in small and medium manufacturing enterprises and difficulties in their information construction, we studied deeply on the scheduling model suitable for complex information environment of the machining shop, and established the job planning and scheduling system model. The hybrid modeling method of UML and IDEF was adopted to describe the architecture of the job planning and scheduling system in machining shop. IDEF, which has good flexibility and logic, is used to describe the system's functions and needs, and then express an implementation scheme that can meet the needs and realize the functions. At the same time, UML is utilized to reflect the chronological relationship of the interaction between functional objects. From the perspectives of structure, function, information and control, both of the above advantages are combined to establish the flexible and reusable model for job planning and scheduling system in machining shop.

In order to set up well-structured multitasking robot application programs careful planning is required. Robot programming languages (e.g. Karel, RAPID, Melfa, SimPro, etc.) vary from robot to robot constructor. General planning tools used in software development (e.g. UML, IDEF, etc.) require adequate professional skills and a special way of thinking such that robot programmers to apply and adapt them to the specificity of each robot programming language. Customized and intuitive planning tools of robot applications with regard to each particular programming language seem to be preferred by ordinary robot programmers and operators when facing with the development of complex robot tasks. Abstract:
Logistics management requires a lot of ideas, methods, and tools to control the logistics processes and systems. Analysing, planning, implementing, and monitoring logistics activities without a map of the controlled processes is especially difficult, if not impossible; to do it, an idea of how to transfer the reality into the map is needed. It is therefore worth asking about the method of performing that task, and thus about the so-called architecture from the scientific point of view. In an attempt to answer these questions, based on modelling methodology, the paper discusses three frameworks: ARIS, IDEF, and Zachman. The research results are models of forecasting and simulating of logistics processes and the conclusion is that architectures are of great importance as they enable the creation of maps, models, schemes, procedures, instructions, etc., which are necessary for effective logistics management.

Abstract:
Decision-making in complex logistics systems involves high risks and associated impacts. A way to forecast the impacts of these decisions is through the use of systems simulation projects, where the systematic impacts of the parameters can be visualized. This study presents a project based on Discrete-Event Simulation (DES) that analyses Brazilian soybean export logistics from producing regions to main international customers. The strategic analysis of a global logistics system using DES is a particularity of this study. At the conception stage, the conceptual modelling was made using IDEF-SIM (Integrated Definition Methods – Simulation) method, which allowed a better abstraction of reality and more accurate model implementation. The experimental analysis took place through the construction of 39 scenarios with specific characteristics that verified system behaviours through proposed changes. The analyses and decisions are based on costs. The simulations indicated the necessity for: a) an integrated management between the systems agents; b) the development of internal transportation infrastructure, especially railways and waterways, to increase competitiveness of Brazilian soybeans in the international market.

Abstract:
In order to simulate material flow in a subassembly line at a shipyard, the product, process, and resources are modeled for the subassembly process. The subassembly line is selected from a large shipyard and consists of several subprocesses, such as base joining, piece alignment, tack welding, and robot welding processes. The analysis and modeling procedure were carried out using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), an object-oriented modeling methodology, and Integration Definition (IDEF), a functional modeling tool. Initially, the characteristics of the shop resources were analyzed using the shipyard data and the layout of the subassembly line was designed with the resources. A production process was then modeled using the resources and the layout. The production process modeling of the subassembly lines was performed using the discrete event simulation method. Using the constructed resource and process model, the productivity and efficiency of the line were investigated. Variations in the resource performance, such as a new welding robot and the number of workers, were examined to simulate changes in productivity. It can be seen that bottlenecks occur in different places according to the nature of new resources. The proposed model is viewed three-dimensionally in a virtual environment so that space allocations for the resources and interferences between objects can be easily investigated.

Abstract:
A common barrier to achieving design intent is the absence of comprehensive information about operational performance during design development. This results in uninformed decision-making which impacts on actual building performance, in particular Whole Life Costs (WLC). It is proposed that Building Information Modelling (BIM) has the potential to facilitate a more comprehensive and accurate design approach from the initial stages if the model can utilize reliable and robust cost and performance data from buildings in use. This paper describes the initial findings of a research project that has investigated the integration of WLC estimation into BIM processes. The study focusses specifically on the rapidly emerging Private Rental Sector (PRS) as the build-to-rent market has repeatable tasks and similar workflow patterns, roles and responsibilities, but impacts of WLC can significantly influence the business model. The study adopted a mixed method approach for the development and validation of a structured standardized process for timely WLC estimation through BIM. The research identified a number of barriers. These included varying definitions of WLC calculation methodologies; the availability and standards of data sources, in particular, the misalignment of coding systems for identification and classification of components at various levels of development, proprietary ownership of data, lack of knowledge and skills in team members to produce and/or utilize data sources, and limitations of software. However, the research proposes that these may be addressed by a reverse-engineered systematic process that uses the Integrated DEFinition (IDEF) 3 structured diagramming modelling technique that can be incorporated into a software model and has developed a model for a systematic approach for BIM-enabled WLC assessment based on CE principles which would include access to live data streams from completed buildings. The paper describes this model development which has the potential to enhance BIM lifecycle management through an augmented decision-making approach that is integral to the natural design development process.

Abstract:
The paper describes transformation rules that map between IDEFO and IDEF3 integration definitions and Petri net modelling constructs. Use of these rules has enabled the development of an enterprise modelling methodology. This methodology ensures that different yet consistent views of business processes and their underpinning resources can be developed by members of a systems engineering team. In particular, the methodology supports the organized capture of functional models, expressed in IDEFO notation, and links them to the subsequent development of behaviour models expressed in IDEF3 notation. Decomposition rules have also been developed that determine relationships between system elements so that they can be modelled at various levels of granularity. Resultant behaviour models can be translated into an equivalent Petri net form. One target application of the modelling rules and methods has been to model interactions between business partners that share common business processes.

Abstract:
The relevance of the topic considered in the article lies in solving the problems of designing expert systems for industrial enterprises based on big data technology. The purpose of the study is to analyze the applied methodologies at the design stage of an enterprise information system, to develop algorithms for the operation of an expert system with big data. A brief statement of the problem consists in analyzing the technologies available on the market for working with big data and the possibility of using them for expert systems, identifying the main stages of working with big data for industrial enterprises. In the modern world, the problem of using Big Data has become extremely urgent. Companies, firms and corporations that are leaders in the field of information technology and business conduct are busy looking for optimal solutions for managing a huge amount of constantly incoming information and its in-depth analysis. They are looking for ways to profit from the data at their disposal, trying to get new data from the existing ones. Developing your own expert system is more cost effective. Methods used - methods of analysis and design IDEF0, DFD, IDEF1, IDEF3, methods of functional (structural) design, methods of object-oriented design. The results obtained - a method of using big data to create an expert system for an industrial enterprise has been developed. Implementation of such an expert system on your own is much cheaper than purchasing ready- made software systems.

Abstract:
Orthography is a system of rules adopted to correctly express an idea through writing, which ensures that the idea is equally expressed both for the writer and for the reader. In the teaching of orthography, hearing and sight play an important role. In addition, factors such as logical thinking, memory, intelligence also play an important role in the formation of orthographic skills in students. These are those in which orthography creates a certain system in teaching, one complements the other. This article will give an idea of the methods of orthographic analysis.

Abstract:
Created by the idea of Miroslav Tyrš in the second half of the 19th century as a movement of spiritual and physical strengthening of the nation, sokolism soon spread to all countries where the Slavic people lived. In that way, it reached the territory of Herzegovina as well. However, what exactly was the idea of the sokol movement, what did it develop into in the first half of the 20th century in Herzegovina and whether it is an idea that can benefit a man of the 21st century as well, are just some of the questions that the authors deal with in this research. Although Miroslav Tyrš and his sokols are typical representatives of ethnocentrism, the sokolism of Herzegovina has expanded its ideas also in another direction. Using physical exercise as a gracious food for their body and truth and zeal as food for their soul, they may have been able to hint at what is an essential need almost a century later, and that is a theoanthropocentric way of approaching man which has been used more and more lately, especially in the field of physical culture. The appointed problems authors research using the method of theoretical analysis and historical method.

Abstract:
This article presents the concept of phenomenological reduction Edmund Husserl’s “Idea of phenomenology”. In the first part I present the specifics of the phenomenological method compared to natural sciences. In the next part I characterize the fundamental assumptions about Husserl's understanding of the concept of phenomenological reduction. Next, I emphasize and explain the issues of the main epistemological principle. In the last part I interpret the reduction as a procedure leading to the essence of the phenomenon, but also what constitutes its basis, to “givenness “, what Jean-Luc Marion calls donation.

Abstract:
Eight out of ten Spaniards think the hole in the ozone layer, caused by human actions, is the key physical cause of climate change. This belief, constructed from scientific elements (concepts, images, icons, discourse), is a product of popular culture. Science has never confirmed this relationship. It was the ability of popular culture to incorporate scientific «objects» according to its own epistemology that established and popularised the idea until it became a global cultural belief. The divergence between social and scientific representation invites us to reflect upon how contemporary societies embrace and remodel scientific culture to construct representations for interpreting reality and directing responses (or inaction) to threats identified by science.

Abstract:
This article introduces a new idea evaluation method, named “Attributive Idea Evaluation” (AIE), for corporate open innovation communities. AIE aims on the contextual integration of all employees’ knowledge and is based on twenty attributes. Assigning these attributes to ideas facilitates intuitive evaluations. Ranking different ideas is enabled by enclosing corresponding numerical values, correlating to success potential. The method generated convincing results when utilized to evaluate innovation ideas within a large German service company, fulfilling most of the requirements for evaluating ideas in early phases of the innovation management process. Additional discussions with the participants and an expert interview confirmed AIE’s utility, usability, and reliability.
