Abstract:

IBM Slovenija je del globalne korporacije IBM, ki je navzoča v več kot 170 državah. Ukvarja se z informacijsko tehnologijo in je na tem področju ena vodilnih na svetu. Zaposluje približno 400 tisoč ljudi. IBM že nekaj let ustvarja in sledi globalne trende na področju IT – to so storitve v oblaku, digitalizacija, internet stvari, kognitivni sistemi in podobno. Da lahko zaposleni sledijo tem trendom, je IBM oblikoval platformo e-izobraževanj, ki dopolnjuje klasična izobraževanja. Ker so strokovnjaki z določenih področij razpršeni po vsem svetu, je e-izobraževanje priročna oblika, kako doseči izobraževalne učinke brez dolgih potovanj in odsotnosti. Izobraževanje je v IBM zelo pomembno – poudarjeno je na kadrovski ravni in ravni osebnih ciljev. Redno spremljanje trendov ter dodatno izobraževanje in usposabljanje so del vsakdana vsakega IBM-ovca v vseh državah po svetu in to velja tudi za Slovenijo. Abstract DO178 is a standard for avionic software for the aerospace industry which can be used as a guidance to determine if the software product will perform reliability in airborne environment. The standard has 5 different certification levels each of which has a certain set of objectives. The certification levels are determined depending on how critical the system or subsystem is. To address DO- 178 objectives, companies need a defined systems and software engineering process that can delineate workflows, inputs, outputs, roles and responsibilities. Abstract:

In this research, the ground state gamma ray bands of even 114-124 Cd isotopes are calculated using interacting boson model (IBM-1). The theoretical energy levels for Z = 48, N = 66–76 up to spin-parity 8+ have been obtained by using PHINT computer program. The values of the parameters in the IBM-1 Hamiltonian yield the best fit to the experimental energy spectrum. The calculated results of the ground state energy band are compared to the previous experimental results and the obtained theoretical calculations in IBM-1 are in good agreement with the experimental energy level.

Abstract:

This article describes the family of emulators for IBM mainframe architectures, their development history, functional features and capability, as well as the experience of many years (since 1994) of emulators development and their implementation area. There was sold the relatively simple task (for modern standards) of creating a virtual machine in the VSE/ESA operating system for transferring legacy platform-dependent applications to this target environment. The problem was solved at first for EU computers in Russia, and then for IBM 9221 in Germany and in the other western countries. The transfer was made to the OS/390 environment, and to IBM AIX, quite modern at that time. The virtual execution of any existing IBM mainframe operating systems in the main server OS environments: Linux, Windows, AIX, Z/OS, ZLinux had been provided. There was developed the solution for combining any types of formed virtual computing nodes into heterogeneous geographically distributed computing networks that provide, in particular, multiple mutual redundancy of nodes in the network.

Abstract:

Mixed-symmetry and isospin excited states are typical of the interacting boson model with isospin (IBM-3). With a view to look for such states, levels scheme of the IBM-3 dynamical symmetry is discussed. A systematic investigation in the proton and neutron degrees of freedom of the energy levels has been carried out. A sequence of isospin excitation bands has been identified. We have analyzed the wave functions and given the symmetrical labeling of the states. The transition probabilities between the isospin excitation states of model limits are analyzed in terms of isoscalar and isovector decompositions. The present calculations suggest that a combination of isospin excitation and mixed-symmetry states can provide substantial information on the structure of nuclear states. Calculations for [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] nuclei are presented and compared with the results of the shell model and available experimental data.

Abstract:

We generalize the Gaussian Mixture Autoregressive (GMAR) model to the Fisher’s z Mixture Autoregressive (ZMAR) model for modeling nonlinear time series. The model consists of a mixture of K-component Fisher’s z autoregressive models with the mixing proportions changing over time. This model can capture time series with both heteroskedasticity and multimodal conditional distribution, using Fisher’s z distribution as an innovation in the MAR model. The ZMAR model is classified as nonlinearity in the level (or mode) model because the mode of the Fisher’s z distribution is stable in its location parameter, whether symmetric or asymmetric. Using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm, e.g., the No-U-Turn Sampler (NUTS), we conducted a simulation study to investigate the model performance compared to the GMAR model and Student t Mixture Autoregressive (TMAR) model. The models are applied to the daily IBM stock prices and the monthly Brent crude oil prices. The results show that the proposed model outperforms the existing ones, as indicated by the Pareto-Smoothed Important Sampling Leave-One-Out cross-validation (PSIS-LOO) minimum criterion.

Abstract:

We aimed to study growth patterns according to rapid weight gain (RWG) and infant feeding practices during the first 120 days and whether infant feeding practices mediated the association between RWG in the first semester of life and subsequent body mass index (BMI) z-score in children from age 1 to 6. (1) Methods: 862 children from the Growth and Feeding during Lactation and Early Childhood in Children of Aragon study (CALINA in Spanish) were examined. Repeated-measures ANOVA analyses were conducted to assess growth trajectories according to RWG and type of feeding practice. The product of coefficients mediation method was used to assess the potential contribution of infant feeding practices to the association between RWG and BMI z-score. Mediation models were conducted using IBM SPSS-PROCESS Statistics for Windows, Version 26.0. Armonk, NY: IBM Corp. (2) Results: BMI and weight z-score trajectories were significantly higher in the RWG group and the formula-fed group. No significant differences were found regarding height. Infant feeding practices did not mediate the association between RWG and BMI z-score but were associated with BMI at 6 years. (3) Conclusions: Infant feeding practices and RWG determine different growth trajectories of BMI and weight during childhood. Although infant feeding practices did not mediate the association between early RWG and BMI later in life, formula feeding is independently related to higher BMI growth patterns later in childhood.

Celem niniejszego opracowania jest porównanie kilku metod statystycznych oraz pokazanie możliwości ich zastosowania w mierzeniu efektów przeprowadzanych restrukturyzacji w przedsiębiorstwach. Przykłady podane odnoszą się do bardzo dokładnej analizy studium przypadku Volkswagena, gdzie wyniki kwartalne obejmujące zostały zbadane w okres 10 lat. Statystyczna metoda regresji wielorakiej została zastosowana w obliczeniach, a dodatkowo przeprowadzono obliczenia z wykorzystaniem IBM wersji 20) do dziesięciu modeli, w trzech przedziałach czasowych na kwartał (48 okresów). Uzyskane wyniki potwierdziły hipotezę badawczą. Badania przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem danych finansowych, które są ogólnie dostępne. Kluczowa w tym badaniu jest wykorzystana statystyczna metoda oceny.

Abstract:

This research is a quantitative research that aims to analyze company’s inancial performance using Altman Z Score and also to determine the effect of the Altman Z Score variable on stock prices. The population in this study are consumer goods industry companies in 2016-2017 which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The samples taken were 72 companies with purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis with IBM SPSS 23 program and a significance level of 5% (0.05). The results of this study indicate that (1) Z score of 72 samples of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2016 2017 Obtained 4 companies in the unhealthy category, 9 companies in the gray area category (unsound), and 59 companies in the healthy category (2) RETA, EBITA, and BVEBVTL variables affect stock prices while WCTA and Z Score variables do not affect stock prices.

Abstract:

The development of technology has become an integral part of changing people's behavior. Generation z is a group of individuals who are very close to technology. In Theory of Reasoned Action, behavior variables are influenced by attitudes, subjective norms and the desire to behave. In this study, it focuses on the influence ofinitiatives mobile marketing that have an influence on behavioral intentions, then intentions and subjective norms have an influence on the desire to behave and the desire to behave has an influence on actual behavior. The above research was conducted on generation Z in the city of Surakarta with an age range of 15-24 years. With the number of samples used were 100 respondents. The samples were determined using purposive sampling and the data collection method used a questionnaire. This study uses simple linear regression analysis while the tools used in processing the IBM SPSSdata Statistic 22. The results show a significant influence because it is caused by thevariable mobile marketing on attitude, then attitude and subjective norm have a positive significant effect on intention behavior. Then intention behavior has a significant positive effect on actual behavior.

The aim of the study was to compare the current level of the selected speed abilities of juniors hockey players between defenders and forwards (n = 20, height = 182.3 ± 4.9cm, weight = 81.5 ± 6.7 kg, age = 18.44 ± .70 years; defenders = 8, height = 184.0 ± 3.8 cm, weight = 84.2 ± 6.5 kg, age = 18.60 years ± .59; attackers = 12, height = 181.2 ± 5.4 cm, weight = 79.6 ± 6.7 kg, age = 18.33 ± .77 years) in a competitive year 2014/2015. The indicators of selected speed abilities were observed by two tests: 1. Run to 40m with changes of direction and agility 2. Test – Illinois. Statistical analysis was conducted by using the software IBM® SPSS® Statistics V19. The average value of the test run to 40m with changes of the direction of the whole file was 8.52 ± .22 s, among defenders was 8.34 ± .10 s, among forwards 8.64 ± .19 s, which is a statistically significant difference between defenders and forwards (d = 1.97; p < 0.05; r = 0.70 – large effect) in favour of the defenders. In the agility test – Illinois, the average value of the whole file was 16.58 ± .33 s. For the defenders, the average finish time indicated of the value 16.32 ± .23 s and for forwards 16.75 ± .27 s, which again is statistically significant difference in favour of the defenders (d = 1.71; p < 0.05; r = 0.65 – large effect).

W związku z postępującym procesem starzenia się społeczeństwa, a tym samym wzrostem liczby osób przewlekle chorych, nadrzędnym celem opieki zdrowotnej stało się nie tylko wydłużanie życia, ale także poprawa jego jakości oraz utrzymanie w starszym wieku względnej niezależności i aktywnego uczestnictwa w życiu społecznym. Najważniejszym czynnikiem determinującym jakość życia jest zdrowie, dlatego też w obrębie tego pojęcia używany jest termin „jakość życia uwarunkowana stanem zdrowia”, oznaczający jakość życia wyznaczoną stanem zdrowia, obecnymi chorobami oraz naturalnym procesem starzenia. Celem głównym prezentowanej pracy było zbadanie jakości życia uwarunkowanej stanem zdrowia osób starszych mieszkających na wsi oraz określenie jej determinantów. Grupę badanych stanowiły 203 osoby w wieku 65 lat i więcej, mieszkające na obszarach wiejskich województwa małopolskiego. Analizę zebranego materiału badawczego wykonano z wykorzystaniem pakietu statystycznego IBM SPSS 19 dla Windows. Jako poziom istotności dla testowanych hipotez zerowych przyjęto wartość 0,05. Badane osoby starsze mieszające na wsi istotnie lepiej oceniały wymiar psychiczny jakości życia uwarunkowanej stanem zdrowia niż wymiar fizyczny. Do czynników determinujących tę ocenę należały: płeć, wiek, sytuacja rodzinna, warunki mieszkaniowe i sytuacja materialna, stopień powiązania w przeszłości z rolnictwem, stan zdrowia, sprawność funkcjonalna, ryzyko niedożywienia, rodzaj otrzymywanego wsparcia oraz poziom satysfakcji życiowej respondentów.

Aim: The study has been conducted in order to determine the impact of training which giving to peadiatric nurses by interactive workshops against to problems during lactation period.Methods: This study, which is an experimental type in which pre-test/ post-test measurements were taken, was carried out in a state hospital in Samsun in October 2014. Before the training, the nurses accepted the presentation invitation. Evaluation of participants’ knowledge on the subject was performed via a Multiple Choice Questionnaire (MCQ) prepared by the researchers in relation with the literature. The study was conducted by 33 volunteer nurses working in the pediatric departments of a state hospital in the conference hall. MCQ, consisting of 24 questions, was answered by the participants before and after the interactive workshop. Analyses were performed using commercial software (IBM SPSS Statistics 20, SPSS Inc. An IBM Corp., Armonk, NY)Findings: Nurses (n= 33) who work in pediatric units participated in the study. The average age of nurses who participated to study is 36.30 ± 6.47 (min=21 max=48). There was a significant improvement in mean test score after the lecture when compared with pre-lecture score (Mean =23.66, SD=0.54 vs. Mean=12.24, SD=4.11, z= -5.021 p = 0.000)Conclusions: Lecture based interactive workshop on the problems faced during lactation period helps to improve nurses’ knowledge. It also helps in overcoming deficiencies in nurses training.

Abstract:

Uvod: Vest je večdimenzionalni koncept, zaradi katerega se medicinska sestra more zavedati manj kakovostne oskrbe bolnika in lastnih omejitev. Delovanje v nasprotju z lastno vestjo lahko vodi v izgorelost. Namen raziskave je bil prikazati povezanost bremena vesti in izgorelosti med zaposlenimi v intenzivni zdravstveni negi.Metode: Izvedena je bila presečna raziskava na priložnostnem vzorcu 46 medicinskih sester. Uporabljen je bil vprašalnik Stress of Conscience (slovensko »Slaba vest«). Vprašalnik je pokazal visoko notranjo skladnost (Cronbach α = 0,875). Podatki so bili zbrani v decembru 2017 in obdelani s programsko opremo IBM SPSS Statistics 23. Analizirani so bili z opisno in bivariatno statistiko. Uporabljeni so bili Fisherjev natančni test, T-test dveh neodvisnih vzorcev oziroma Mann-Whitneyev U-test ter enosmerna ANOVA.Rezultati: Starost in spol statistično značilno vplivata na breme vesti (p = 0,048 za starost oziroma p = 0,005 za spol). Statistično značilnih vplivov spola, starosti, trajanja zaposlitve ali izobrazbe na prisotnost števila simptomov izgorelosti raziskava ni pokazala. Z izgorelostjo je najbolj povezan (r = 0,503, p < 0,001) vpliv delovnega okolja na zasebno življenje.Diskusija in zaključek: Slaba vest je prisotna med medicinskimi sestrami v enotah intenzivne nege in terapije. Medicinskim sestram povzročajo slabo vest številni dejavniki. Raziskava je pokazala, da večje breme vesti povečuje število simptomov izgorelosti. Nadaljnje raziskovalno delo je smiselno usmeriti v zmanjševanje bremena vesti in izgorelosti.
