Abstract:
The author provides information on a developed method of geoinformation mapping hydrobionts in order to automatize digital cartographic images formation with spatial-andtemporal distribution of species and long-term trends of freezing surface waters’quality changes at studying relationships in the functioning of hydrobiological communities. The features of technique with the description of technical stages for creating databases and constituent elements of geoinformation software by the example of designing a regional geoservice with interactive plankton-and-benthos-aquatic-organisms’ maps in the Baikal natural territory are presented. Signs mapping the classes of water pollution by hydrobiological indicators on points available for recognition by colour-blind people are offered to be applied in cartographic material. They are easily reproduced on objects near surface streams in cases of water pollution for warning the population.

Abstract:
The qualitative and quantitative composition of macrozoobenthos in the Bobrava rivulet was summarized utilizing former and recent studies. Altogether, 187 taxa of macrozoobenthos were determined in the Bobrava rivulet and its tributaries until now. The highest values of macrozoobenthos were found on the stony substrate with mean values of biomass and density corresponding to 18.7 g . m−2 and 2922 ind . m−2, respectively. Lower values were determined on the muddy and sandy substrates with 12.4 g . m−2 and 1587 ind . m−2, and 4.2 g . m−2 and 531 ind . m−2, respectively. The index of saprobity upstream the town Rosice corresponded to oligo-betamesosaprobity. Downstream the towns of Rosice, Omice and Radostice on the middle course of the Bobrava rivulet, water duality declined to beta – to alphamesosaprobity. Due to the self-purification ability of the stream, its water quality was improved to beta-mesosaprobity bellow the municipal pollution sources in the river stretch between localities Závist and Želešice.

Abstract:
The Lithuanian karst region covers about 1000 km3 in the northern part of the country. This is the most vulnerable area from a pollution point of view. The structure of the total dissolved solids (TDS) shows that the flow of rivers in the karst region is from hydraulically interconnected aquifers. For the last decade (1991–2000) TDS has varied considerably, from 529 to 732 mg/l. The predominant sources of nitrogen and phosphorus within the headwaters of the monitored rivers were diffuse and agricultural in nature. Downstream from the towns nitrogen and especially phosphorus showed both diffuse and point source signals. Contributions of point sources to the stream pollution by nutrients prevail. The time series of monthly dissolved oxygen (O2) in the main karst region river – the Musa – shows the existence of multiplicative seasonality. The trend cycle (1991–1999) shows low levels of dissolved oxygen in 1991–1993, with a similar fluctuation in 1994, 1995 and 1996 (due to point pollution from the town of Siauliai) and a gradually improving situation since 1997. The general multiplicative trend of dissolved oxygen in the lower reaches of the Musa river (near the border with Latvia) is decreasing (within the accuracy limits). The abundance and species of zoo benthos are suitable criteria (biotic index – BI) for evaluation of a river's biological water quality. Zoo benthos demonstrates tolerances that vary among species, the oxygen regime and the pollution with nitrogen. The best living conditions for invertebrates are in the riverhead of the karst region rivers – BI=5.62–6.74 (1991–1999), where pollution with nutrients is caused mostly by agricultural activity. Rare and asynchronous data of biological water quality shows up tendencies that invertebrates prefer less contaminated reaches of rivers.

Abstract:
The paper focuses upon the control over environmental pollution of water bodies by human waste products in urban areas, which can be carried out by monitoring hydrobiological indi-cators. In the course of study undertaken in May 2017 and 2018 there was assessed the ecological and sanitary status of the Volga and Kutum rivers that flow on the territory of Astrakhan. Samples were taken at four stations; the choice of station location was determined by the presence of pollutant sources: proximity of the city market or the power plant. Quantitative and qualitative indicators of the state of phytoplankton were used as hydrobiological indicators; the total number of bacteria and the total content of coliform bacteria were evaluated as microbiological indicators. During the study period the ecological and sanitary state of water was rated as satisfactory. The number of algae taxa increased insignificantly (by 3 units), diatoms predominated in the number of genera and number. Despite the presence of 4-5 species of pure water representatives in the investigated waters, the sanitary and bacteriological situation at all the studied stations was found unfavorable; the water was characterized as polluted and dirty. In 2018, there was registered deterioration of water quality compared to 2017, while the calculated saprobity index in the Kutum river indicates the water quality improvement downstream. The increasing value of the water saprobity index in the Kutum river indicates a tendency toward the growing level of organic pollution and necessitates a comprehensive analysis of hydrobiological indicators for systematic monitoring the aquatic environment.

Abstract:
Hydro biological study of the Yamuna river at Kalpi in India was carried out for a period of twelve month (October 2013 to September 2014). Four sampling stations were selected for sampling purpose. Collected samples were evaluated for fourteen physico-chemical parameters such as W.T., pH, Conductivity, Turbidity, T.D.S., T.H., T.A., Cl, SO4, PO4, NO3, D.O., B.O.D. and C.O.D. and four biological parameters such as phytoplankton, zooplankton, aquatic macrophytes and fishes. Present study reveals that water quality of the Yamuna river was not fit for drinking purpose but it was satisfactory for fish culture and irrigation purpose. Presence of both pollution tolerant and pollution intolerant species of biological parameters shows that this water was moderately polluted during course of study. Abstract:
Hydrobiological research on streams with different dominant forms of pollution (anthropogenic eutrophication, organic pollution, toxic pollution, trans-saprobic pollution) in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula (territory of Serbia and Montenegro) indicates that these different forms of pollution can be detected on the basis of structure of the macrozoobenthos community and individual indicator taxa. It is established from the obtained results that the greatest community diversity occurs in the case of anthropogenic eutrophication or weak organic pollution as a dominant process, where phytophilous and/or detritophagic forms (Cloeon, Polypedilum, Asellus, Stylaria, Erpobdella, Gammarus) are dominant in the community. In the cases of very strong organic pollution, the macrozoobenthos community is characterized by mass development of certain taxa of the group Oligochaeta (Tubificidae) and Chironomidae larvae {Chironomus gr. thummi). Depending on the strength and contribution of organic, toxic, and/or transsaprobic components, toxic pollution and mixed pollution arc characterized by a more or less heterogeneous and nonspecific population. However, a common feature is the presence of a small number of taxa with populations of a relatively low density, or the occurrence of individual specimens belonging to different groups of animals.

Abstract:
This article analyzes the problem of the state of the water bodies in Ishim by anthropogenic pressures. The study shows that the water reservoirs are negatively influenced by the economic activities of the population. The author defines their main directions: industrial wastewater discharge to the city water bodies, construction and operation of engineering constructions, activity in the private sector. To assess the state of the water bodies the author uses the results of the visual assessment of the state of the riverbeds and their coastal zone, the organoleptic water indicators (turbidity, color and smell), the analysis of the hydrobiological studies (determination of the degree of saprobity of the water bodies as indicators ciliated infusoria). The study showed the satisfactory condition of all the water reservoirs and the non-critical impact. As the enterprises for light manufacturing and food industries in Ishim are not sources of chemical, organic and other pollution the visual assessment didn't reveal significant deformations of the riverbeds and any changes in the coastal zone. The impact of the private sector is local and not the significant cause of organic pollution.
