Abstract:
This article is a tribute to Prof. Jorge Ayala, to his kindness and integrity, in both a personal and intellectual sense. In order to contextualise the meaning of Ayala’s contribution, this article refers to a particular conception of coherence between thought and existence which can be traced in part to the main course of Western intellectual history: a way of experiencing the thought, values and beliefs through which our intellectual choices reflect a way of being –an understanding which is very close to Baltasar Gracián’s notion of «moral truth».

Abstract:
Many people, and not only in 1984, the year specified by Orwell, have expressed thoughts somewhat along the following lines: that in modern society people are being dehumanised, depersonalised, mechanised; that relations among persons are too often impersonal, alienated, objective; that all this is to be deplored, and that institutions and ways of doing things must be so devised as to undo damage already done, or at least so devised as not to do more of this damage, by depersonalising people. Many particular instances have been given as examples of the dehumanisation which is complained of, but we are seldom given any more general account, let alone a definition of dehumanisation, depersonalisation, etc. I am not here assuming the fallacy attributed to Socrates that you do not know at all what a thing is, unless you have defined it adequately. After all many people know at least something of what a teaspoon is, what water is, what friendship is, without being able to offer acceptable definitions of these things. So my point is not that all previous discussions have been useless or hopelessly unclear, but I do say that if we can provide a somewhat general statement or statements about the concept of dehumanisation, that will greatly help us in practical discussion about ways of encouraging fully human relationships; or, more positively put, if we have before us some general account of what humanisation is, we can better see how it might come about.

Abstract:
What should be considered the central problem of linguaecology is the issue of protection of language quality (its various manners of existence: language use, system as well as individual and collective linguistic awareness) against destructive human impact, in particular culture, and protection of human health (individuals and human communities) against harmful language. The ecological nature of linguistic communication is determined not only by its axiological (emotional and moral) dimension but also, and foremost, by the intention not to harm oneself and others. In order to meet the challenges of our times (from climate crisis to hate speech), we need to oppose the view that human beings are selfi sh and aggressive by nature. This view contributes to us becoming like that. However, the true human nature is different: human beings are decent, they are homo cooperans. Keywords: ecology – language – human being – emotions – morality – ecological communication – homo cooperans

Abstract:
In recent decades, the idea of «the end of human exclusivity» has become popular in the intellectual en-vironment. Such concepts as the «non-human life», «world-without-us» became widespread. The article shows that the end of human exclusivity has such manifestations in the sociocultural plane as hyper-trophic visualization of death, the pandemic of gerontophobia and thanatophobia, and the emergence of post-human biotechnology. The article substantiates that the appearance of «post» indicates the ethical collapse of a person, which consists in the fact that a person is tired of being himself. It is proposed to designate this existential fatigue by the well-known concept of «taedium vitae», which in the broadest sense means satiety and aversion to life. The idea is expressed that the emergence and widespread dis-semination of post-ideologies is connected with this existential fatigue. The conclusion reveals some «metaphysical flaws» in post-ideologies that give rise to inhuman anthropologies.
