Abstract:

The three components of the color images enhance the images directly in the RGB color space, will cause distortion of the image. So our paper will convert true color image from RGB space to YIQ space, the holomorphic filtering and histogram equalization are executed on Y component to make the image enhancement, the Y component contains a lot of image information; finally, the image is converted from YIQ color space to RGB color space once again. Experimental results show that the approach which were proposed in the paper, Combined with the method of holomorphic filtering and histogram equalization to overcome the uneven illumination, the image is dark and other shortcomings to achieve satisfactory enhancement.

Abstract:

Résumé : Dans cette thèse j'ai travaillé sur deux problèmes différents dans le domaine de la Géométrie Algébrique. La première partie de cette thèse consiste dans l'étude de la stabilité des images inverses du fibré tangent de l'espace projectif sur des variétés projectives. La stabilité de ces fibrés est équivalente à celle du noyau du morphisme d'évaluation M associé à un fibré en droites L engendré par ses sections globales. On obtient un résultat optimal dans le cas des courbes projectives et ensuite on utilise ce résultat pour en déduire la stabilité dans le cas des quelques surfaces projectives, notamment K3 et abéliennes. Un second problème que nous abordons est l'étude du lieu fixe d'une involution symplectique d'une variété irréductible holomorphe symplectique de dimension 4 telle que b2 = 23. On montre qu'il y a seulement trois cas possibles pour le nombre des points fixes isolés et des surfaces K3 fixées. On conjecture que seulement un cas soit possible, celui avec 28 points fixes isolés et une surface K3 fixée, et qu'une telle involution ne fixe jamais une surface abélienne. On vérifie cette conjecture dans quelques exemples.

Dans cette thèse, nous étudions deux problèmes très naturels en géométrie algébrique complexe. La première question étudiée est de savoir si le revêtement universel d'une variété kählérienne lisse compacte avec un fibré tangent décomposé est un produit de deux variétés. A l'aide des familles couvrantes de courbes rationnelles nous montrons que certaines variétés avec un fibré tangent décomposé possèdent une structure d'espace fibré. Une étude systématique nous permet de donner une réponse affirmative à la question pour plusieurs classes de variétés. La deuxième question étudiée est de savoir si la positivité d'un fibré en droites implique la positivité de l'image directe, par un morphisme projectif et plat, du fibré en droites adjoint. La réponse à cette question dépend de la positivité du fibré en droites et de ses liens avec la géométrie du morphisme considéré. Nous donnons une réponse positive à la question sous de faibles conditions géométriques<br>The subject of this thesis is to investigate two very natural questions in complex algebraic geometry. The first question asks if the universal covering of a compact Kähler manifold with a split tangent bundle is a product of two manifolds. We will establish a structure theory for manifolds with a split tangent bundle and use covering families of rational curves to show the existence of a fibre space structure. A discussion of the fibre space structure allows to give an affirmative answer to the question for several classes of manifolds. The second question asks if the positivity of a line bundle implies the positivity of the direct image of the adjoint line bundle under a flat projective morphism. We will see that the answer to this question depends on the positivity of the line bundle and its relation to the geometry of the morphism. We will show under a variety of conditions that the answer is to the affirmative

Abstract:

Cette thèse porte sur l'étude expérimentale de deux tourbillons corotatifs parallèles, créés dans l'eau par le mouvement impulsionnel de deux plaques planes, et analysés au moyen de visualisations au colorant et de Visualisation par Images de Particules (PIV). Nous avons créé un algorithme de PIV optimisé pour les écoulements à forts gradients de vitesse, qui translate les fenêtres d'interrogation de manière symétrique puis les déforme en fonction des gradients de vitesse. Aux faibles nombres de Reynolds, les tourbillons restent bidimensionnels et laminaires et fusionnent en un unique vortex en trois étapes : (1) la croissance visqueuse des cœurs jusqu'à une taille critique égale à 24% de la distance de séparation, (2) la fusion convective, et (3) l'axisymétrisation du vortex final, dont le carré de la taille du cœur vaut deux fois le carré de la taille des vortex initiaux. Un modèle, basé sur le moment angulaire des filaments, prédit une déstabilisation du système de deux vortex et une chute de la distance de séparation, lorsque la taille du cœur dépasse une valeur critique. Aux nombres de Reynolds élevés, il apparaît une instabilité tridimensionnelle, liée à l'instabilité elliptique des cœurs des vortex, créant l'ondulation des cœurs des vortex à l'intérieur d'un tube de courant invariant. Le taux de croissance et la largeur de la bande de longueurs d'onde sont en très bon accord avec les prédictions théoriques. La fusion apparaît pour des tailles de cœur plus faibles, et donnent lieu à un vortex final plus turbulent et plus gros qu'en l'absence de l'instabilité tridimensionnelle. Enfin, nous avons analysé l'évolution d'une tache de colorant dans un des tourbillons de la paire. Ce scalaire est soumis à de l'hyperdiffusion grâce à l'action couplée de l'étirement et de la diffusion. Un modèle simple prédit une décroissance du scalaire comme t-3/2, mais indique que la densité de probabilité du scalaire reste stationnaire, ce qui est en accord avec les résultats expérimentaux. La densité de probabilité du scalaire évolue peu dans le cas de la fusion laminaire, mais décroît fortement lors de la fusion turbulente.

Abstract:

In this thesis we study questions broadly related to the Kobayashi (pseudo)distance and (pseudo)metric on domains in ℂn. Specifically, we study the following subjects: Estimates for holomorphic images of subsets in convex domains: Consider the following problem: given domains Ω1 ⊊ ℂn and Ω2 ⊊ ℂm, and points a ∊ Ω1 and b ∊ Ω2, find an explicit lower bound for dist(f(Ω1(r)), Ω2c) in terms of r, where Ω1(r) := {z ∊ Ω1 | dist(z, Ω1c) ≥ r} and f : Ω1 → Ω2 is any holomorphic map such that f(a) = b. This is motivated by the classical Schwarz lemma (i.e., Ω1 = Ω2 = ⅅ) which gives dist(f(sⅅ), ⅅc) ≥ 4-1(1-s)dist(a, ⅅc)dist(b, ⅅc). We extend this to the case where Ω1 and Ω2 are convex domains. In doing this, we make crucial use of the Kobayashi pseudodistance. Upper bounds for the Kobayashi metric: We provide new upper bounds for the Kobayashi metric on bounded convex domains in ℂn. This bears relation to Graham's well-known big-constant/small-constant bounds from above and below on convex domains. Graham's upper bounds are frequently not sharp. Our estimates improve these bounds. The continuous extension of Kobayashi isometries: We provide a new result in this direction that is based on the properties of convex domains viewed as distance spaces (equipped with the Kobayashi distance). Specifically, we sharpen certain techniques introduced recently by A. Zimmer and extend a result of his to a wider class of convex domains having lower boundary regularity. In particular, all complex geodesics into any such convex domain are shown to extend continuously to the unit circle. A weak notion of negative curvature for the Kobayashi distance on domains in ℂn: We introduce and study a property that we call visibility with respect to the Kobayashi distance, which is an analogue of the notion of uniform visibility in CAT(0) spaces. It abstracts an important and characteristic property of Gromov hyperbolic spaces. We call domains satisfying this newly-introduced property visibility domains. Bharali–Zimmer recently introduced a class of domains called Goldilocks domains, which are visibility domains, and proved for Goldilocks domains a wide range of properties. We show that visibility domains form a proper superclass of the Goldilocks domains. We do so by constructing a family of domains that are visibility domains but not Goldilocks domains. We also show that visibility domains enjoy many of the properties shown to hold for Goldilocks domains. Wolff–Denjoy-type theorems for visibility domains: To emphasise the point that many of the results shown to hold for Goldilocks domains can actually be extended to visibility domains, we prove two Wolff–Denjoy-type theorems for taut visibility domains, with one of them being a generalization of a similar result for Goldilocks domains. We also provide a corollary to one of these results to demonstrate the sheer diversity of domains to which the Wolff–Denjoy phenomenon extends
