Abstract:
Adolescent’s deviate behavior may be caused by many different factors. A symptom of deviation that arose is just an indicator of a bigger crucial problem inside. Complexity of affective, cognitive and psychomotor in adolescence period that did not obtain proper nurture and guidance could bring them to an anomaly way. State of full guidance on adolescent brings them to finished development period and creates holistic awareness about their true identity as an entity of huge universe civilization. Holistic pedagogy comes to bring a discourse as thinking basic for describing about how to humanize adolescent that starts from the first step, home. The importance of human awareness as an entity of universe civilization with its tasks is a duty of adolescent’s development that often disappear from chains of multigenerational transmission in family, school and societal environment, where it is considered as a trigger of nowadays adolescent problems.

Abstract:
One of the services that should be provided by early childhood education (henceforth PAUD) teachers in the holistic integrative program is group guidance and counseling. Therefore, a manual which can assist them in providing these services is needed. This research aims to develop manual for implementing group guidance and counseling through holistic integrative program. The design of the study was research and development by following the CID development model which consists of 4 stages, namely 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, and 4) Disseminate. The design was validated by two experts, each of whom was with a professional background in guidance and counseling, and early childhood education respectively. The validation results showed that each aspect of the material, presentation, language and graphics are very valid (82%), valid (76.25), valid (70%) and very valid (85%) respectively. The dissemination stage was conducted through trying out the manual for the implementation of guidance and counseling in PAUD-to-PAUD teachers throughout to get an idea of whether there are still improvements so that the use of this manual can achieve the expected goals

Abstract:
Camouflaged objects, similar to the background, show indefinable boundaries and deceptive textures, which increases the difficulty of detection task and makes the model rely on features with more information. Herein, we design a texture label to facilitate our network for accurate camouflaged object segmentation. Motivated by the complementary relationship between texture labels and camouflaged object labels, we propose an interactive guidance framework named TINet, which focuses on finding the indefinable boundary and the texture difference by progressive interactive guidance. It maximizes the guidance effect of refined multi-level texture cues on segmentation. Specifically, texture perception decoder (TPD) makes a comprehensive analysis of texture information in multiple scales. Feature interaction guidance decoder (FGD) interactively refines multi-level features of camouflaged object detection and texture detection level by level. Holistic perception decoder (HPD) enhances FGD results by multi-level holistic perception. In addition, we propose a boundary weight map to help the loss function pay more attention to the object boundary. Sufficient experiments conducted on COD and SOD datasets demonstrate that the proposed method performs favorably against 23 state-of-the-art methods.

Abstract:
The text brings closer the career (vocational) guidance issues in the context of the vocational education specificity. Liquid modernity, with multidirectional changes occurring at a great speed, and growing requirements of the competitive labour market have become fertile soil for the growth of all sorts of guidance services, i.e. activities that concern the entire human life and treat individuals in a holistic way. Being one of them, the career guidance has travelled a long way undergoing a paradigmatic change of its objectives and tasks and of other aspects, i.e. how a relation with a client starts or what methods are applied. Vocational school students are one of those groups where career structuring is in demand. Being a weak link in Poland’s education system before the economic and political system transformations of 1989, after this date the group actually has started drifting, losing to the growing educational aspirations and the boom of secondary education that opened the door to increasingly popular higher education. Current efforts to restore vocational education need to be coupled with career guidance services that are provided professionally to the present and future vocational school students. Assumptions of these career guidance activities do not seem to differ basically from the general assumptions applied in the holistic guidance, which does not mean that a search for methods suited to this group of young people should be discontinued.

Abstract:
Wendy Norton and Debby Holloway provide an overview of endometriosis and identify the role of the practice nurse in supporting women with this diagnosis through their patient journey, referencing best practice from NICE guidelines Endometriosis is a long-term gynaecological condition where endometrial tissue forms lesions outside the uterus, resulting in internal bleeding, inflammation, fibrosis, and adhesion formation. The condition is estimated to affect between 2 and 10% of women in the general population, but up to 50% of women with infertility, and can have a significant impact on women's, and their partners', lives. Endometriosis is often misunderstood and misdiagnosed, leading to reported lengthy delays in achieving a correct diagnosis. In 2017 and 2018, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) released guidelines and quality standards on managing endometriosis. Nurses working in primary care services play an important role in raising awareness of this condition and providing holistic, individualised care for women with endometriosis.

Abstract:
Advanced heart failure (HF) may occur at any level of left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction (LVEF). The latter, which is widely utilized for the evaluation of LV systolic performance and treatment guidance of HF patients, is heavily influenced by LV size and geometry. As the accurate evaluation of ventricular systolic function and size is crucial in patients with advanced HF, the LVEF should be supplemented or even replaced by more specific indices of LV function such as the systolic strain and cardiac power output and size such as the LV diastolic diameters and volumes. Conventional treatment (cause eradication, medications, devices) is often poorly tolerated and fails and advanced treatment (mechanical circulatory support [MCS], heart transplantation [HTx]) is required. The effectiveness of MCS is heavily dependent on heart size, whereas HTx which is effective in the vast majority of the cases is limited by the small donor pool. Expanding the MCS indications to include patients with small ventricles as well as the HTx donor pool are major challenges in the management of advanced HF.

Abstract:
Studies on spiritual guidance services for patients in hospitals have been widely discussed. The result of those studies shows that hospital care must be holistic-comprehensive following WHO standards, which include bio-psycho-socio-spiritual. One of the four components is that the spiritual aspect is non-negotiable because it can support treatment and motivate the patient to heal. This study aims to answer (1) how the medical and spiritual needs of inpatients go to the healing process, (2) how to structure Islamic guidance and counseling models for inpatient healing in hospitals. This study is a qualitative field research. The data were collected through several techniques; observation, interview, and documentation. The results show that the medical and spiritual needs of patients at the hospital become one of the most important factors in the healing process. Therefore, suggested services to inpatients provided by hospitals are not only medical aspects but also psychological supports, as well as social and spiritual aspects. This four-aspect approach is called holistic-comprehensive healing. Thus, it is suggested that the structure of Islamic guidance and counseling models in hospitals are 1) al-Hikmah model, 2) al Mauizhoh al Hasanah model, and 3) Good mujadalah

Studies with members of church congregations, and with those embarking on training for ministry, suggest that ordinary Christians being trained in critical biblical engagement perceive there to be two alternative approaches to engaging with the Bible. These are ‘academic’ or ‘intellectual’ stances, mediated by Christian ‘professionals’, and ‘inspirational’ or ‘contemplative’ routes, mediated through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This study examines such perceptions, historical understandings of the nature of biblical engagement, and discussion of this concept within contemporary academic circles; its aim is to propose strategies by which critical and confessional biblical engagement by ordinary Christians might be both integrated and holistic.

Abstract:
A growing list of water contaminants has led to some water suppliers relying primarily on compliance monitoring as a mechanism for managing drinking water quality. While such monitoring is a necessary part of drinking water quality management, experiences with waterborne disease threats and outbreaks have shown that compliance monitoring for numerical limits is not, in itself, sufficient to guarantee the safety and quality of drinking water supplies. To address these issues, the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) has developed a Framework for Management of Drinking Water Quality (the Framework) for incorporation in the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, the primary reference on drinking water quality in Australia. The Framework was developed specifically for drinking water supplies and provides a comprehensive and preventive risk management approach from catchment to consumer. It includes holistic guidance on a range of issues considered good practice for system management. The Framework addresses four key areas:•Commitment to Drinking Water Quality Management,•System Analysis and System Management,•Supporting Requirements, and•Review. The Framework represents a significantly enhanced approach to the management and regulation of drinking water quality and offers a flexible and proactive means of optimising drinking water quality and protecting public health. Rather than the primary reliance on compliance monitoring, the Framework emphasises prevention, the importance of risk assessment, maintaining the integrity of water supply systems and application of multiple barriers to assure protection of public health. Development of the Framework was undertaken in collaboration with the water industry, regulators and other stakeholders, and will promote a common and unified approach to drinking water quality management throughout Australia. The Framework has attracted international interest.

Abstract:
The use of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) or Best Management Practice (BMP) is becoming increasingly common. However, rather than adopting the preferred “treatment train” implementation, many developments opt for end of pipe control ponds. This paper discusses the use of SuDS in series to form treatment trains and compares their potential performance and effectiveness with end of pipe solutions. Land-use, site and catchment characteristics have been used alongside up-to-date guidance, Infoworks CS and MUSIC to determine whole-life-costs, land-take, water quality and water quantity for different SuDS combinations. The results presented show that the use of a treatment train allows approaches differing from the traditional use of single SuDS, either source or “end of pipe”, to be proposed to treat and attenuate runoff. The outcome is a more flexible solution where the footprint allocated to SuDS, costs and water quality can be managed differently to satisfy more efficiently the holistically stakeholders' objectives.

We summarise the current ethical guidance on tuberculosis (TB) care and migration, as set out in the WHO “Ethics Guidance for the Implementation of the End TB Strategy.” Among other aspects, the Ethics Guidance states that there should be firm legal principles in place that ensure the enforcement of migration law on the one hand and the protection of human rights, including the right to health, on the other are separated from one another. As a challenge to the Ethics Guidance and its implementation, we describe two cases, each of which typifies particular problems. Case one describes the experience of a migrant worker in the United Arab Emirates who is deported when mandatory medical exams show evidence of current or prior TB. Case two raises the issue of providing more than TB care, which may also be needed for holistic care. The paper concludes with our suggestions for ways in which we could make progress towards ethically optimal TB care for migrants.

Abstract:
Guidance and counselling constitute the best approach to help children and their families deal with life’s frustrating issues. In the school context, guidance and counselling services assist the school to manage discipline and deal with the influence of social evils on learners and the learning environment. However, for guidance and counselling services to be effective in schools, several factors must be put in place. Among these factors, the key is school management support for guidance and counselling services. In recognition of this fact, the study examined the influence of the schools’ management attitudes towards guidance and counselling on the implementation of guidance and counselling programmes in secondary schools in Baringo Central Sub-County. The study used the descriptive survey research method. It relied on a sample of 36 secondary schools with 36 principals and 72 teacher-counsellors. The research employed a questionnaire to collect the data. The collected data was then analysed using SPSS, version 22. The results of the study revealed that although most schools’ managers had embraced and recognised the role of guidance and counselling in their schools, little time and resources were availed to sustain these important services. This situation had negatively affected the implementation of guidance and counselling in schools. Therefore, it was recommended that guidance should be conceptualised in a broader and more comprehensive and holistic view, incorporating vocational and other aspects of development

This article provides guidance for nurses when a person’s faith is at odds with expected rehabilitation outcomes. This article explores how nurses can assist patients and their families who believe that the reason for the disability is that god is punishing them. The first strategy is always encouraging the patient and family to express their feelings, as this may be healing. Nurses can work with the patient or family’s spiritual leader to assist them to resolve these feelings. Guidance is provided for nurses to meet the spiritual needs of patients by helping patients to see God as “friend, companion, and guide.” When nurses address spiritual needs of our rehabilitation patients and their families, nurses are truly providing holistic care.

Abstract:
Abstract This study investigated the effects of topic familiarity on interpreting quality of eighteen Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) student interpreters in Chinese–English consecutive interpreting (CI) at a university in China. Data were collected from two interpreting tasks in a 2-hour interpreting course over a four-week period. The interpreting quality was assessed by using three analytic rating scales (i.e., information completeness, fluency of delivery, and target language quality) and a holistic rating. Semi-structured interviews with the students were conducted to gain some in-depth perceptions of the effects of topic familiarity on interpreting quality. The results showed that topic familiarity had significant effects on information completeness, fluency of delivery, target language quality, and holistic scores of the interpreting tasks. It was also found that topic familiarity strongly correlated with information completeness, fluency of delivery, target language quality, and holistic scores. The findings of the study indicate that topic familiarity should be included and highlighted in Chinese–English consecutive interpreting in classroom contexts. The study provides effective guidance for interpreting teaching, training, and research.

Abstract:
Sport management scholars have called for educators and students to increase their global perspectives to better reflect the globalization of the industry. Short-term study abroad trips represent an alternative to long-term study abroad trips and help address financial and temporal barriers associated with longer trips. Based on a holistic model of study abroad, the current study examined the associated outcomes of an intentional pretrip and in-trip design for sport management undergraduate students in a short-term study abroad program. Utilizing a mixed-methods design, the researchers asked students on a short-term trip to complete journals and an online survey regarding their cognitive, interpersonal, and intrapersonal outcomes and corresponding experiences. Results indicate that students demonstrated learning in all three areas and highlight the importance for educators to identify opportunities to assist students in making meaning of their experiences and the corresponding lessons associated with those experiences. These findings provide guidance for educators on how intentionally planning pretrip and in-trip lessons can enhance holistic learning for short-term study abroad students.

Abstract:
The introduction of subject literacy, the promulgation of "new curriculum standards", and the implementation and promotion of new teaching materials drive the transformation of school education methods and directly affect the transformation of research on teaching design. Therefore, the research on holistic teaching design focusing on the transformation of classroom teaching methods and pointing to the reform of classroom teaching is of important theoretical value and practical significance. By combing the researches on holistic teaching design of different subjects and different perspectives in the basic education stage, it is found that the relevant theoretical analysis and the holistic teaching design model or strategy provide a certain sense of guidance or reference for teaching practice. However, with the deepening of the holistic teaching design research, the problems in its research have gradually emerged: collaborative research needs to be deepened; the research horizon can be further expanded; the standardization of experimental research needs to be strengthened. Therefore, in terms of holistic teaching design research, it is necessary to explore new collaborative research models and innovate research methods to optimize collaborative research models, so as to promote the effectiveness and in-depth research; it needs to be integrated into interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspectives, so as to enhance the innovation of research by deepening discipline research and strengthening interdisciplinary research; experimental research needs to pay attention to the selection of experimental objects, the scientificity of experimental design, and the control of experimental factors, and the standardized analysis of experimental data is required, so as to effectively optimize the holistic teaching design model or strategy and improve the effectiveness and reliability of experimental research.

Abstract:
Purpose: As Canada rethinks approaches to food guidance, insights into the needs of seniors in rural communities are important to ensure their nutrition issues are addressed. This study aimed to explore the food guidance needs and wants of a group of seniors living in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Methods: Three focus groups were held with a total of 12 participants over the age of 65 years, living independently in the community. Seniors were asked about their views on Canada’s Food Guide (CFG) and the Brazilian Dietary Guidelines (BDG). Results: Participants identified CFG as a trusted source of information and related well to the food groups and directive statements. Portion sizes were confusing and advice on food choices was not seen as being realistic in terms of cost and availability. The holistic nature of the BDG was appealing but guidance on processed food and social eating was not seen as relevant. Neither guidance tool addressed concerns about sustainability and environmental issues. Point of purchase nutrition information was preferable to receiving it from health professionals. Conclusion: CFG was seen as a trusted source of advice; however, locally accessible guidance on affordability and environmental issues related to food choice is needed for this group.

The aim of the article is to critically reflect on what may now constitute the occupational and professional identity of career guidance practitioners after a decade of rapid change, and in the face of further significant policy developments. It seeks to build on recent research, e.g. Colley et al (2010), in order to consider the effects of policy shifts, and their attendant managerialism, on the identity of careers practitioners in a wide variety of organisational settings. The article proposes that Bolman and Deal’s Four Frames model (2003), with its holistic and constructivist basis, can be used to illuminate and critically examine the structural, political, motivational and symbolic aspects of change, including identity reformation. It concludes by suggesting that the various professional bodies that represent career guidance have an opportunity to re-appraise and redefine professional value and identity.

Abstract:
Career planning has become more important than standalone job decisions in the current environment, where individuals have a wider range of choices of occupations and jobs than ever before. This paper reviews the theoretical developments in career guidance theory and recommends a holistic approach towards ‘Career Path Guidance’, incorporating psychological, sociological and developmental perspectives. An approach that considers several future steps in a career cannot be without challenges. The contextual and environmental situations along with individual characteristics are subject to change along a career path. Additionally, different stages in a career path are another variable that needs consideration to achieve a sustainable future. It has, therefore, been proposed that the career course be mapped by considering external factors, internal improvements and path-related dynamism. A multidimensional understanding of career guidance and the amount, complexity and sensitivity of the data involved mean that this approach may be better executed using computer-assisted systems that can source and logically analyze a large amount of information from several sources to produce coherent, sustainable and practical career path decisions.

Abstract:
Approximately 22 million U.S. workers are exposed to hazardous workplace noise. The industries with the highest prevalence of self-reported occupational HL were Mining (61%), Construction (51%) and Manufacturing (47%). "Buy Quiet" is the most strategic way to reduce noise exposure. However, there are other safety, health, and cost factors that significantly influence a purchasing decision for equipment. A more holistic approach is needed. The safety requirements procurement standard (SAE AS6228) has extensive guidance for evaluating all the safety, health, and cost factors influencing a purchasing decision for equipment. The factors are systematically incorporated into a five-year life cycle score. Unfortunately, this standard is underutilized. Publication of SAE AIR6916 and one-page guidance for each tool type will help to address the underutilization. SAE AIR6916 provides simplified guidance for using the AS6228 standard. One-page guidance documents with example evaluations of life cycle scores will make it easier for additional tools to be evaluated in a consistent and comparable manner. Working with retailers and online shopping websites is needed to make the life-cycle score information more easily accessible and easy to use for making purchasing decisions. Additional efforts are aimed at making the life-cycle score methodology routinely utilized and adaptable to new applications.

Abstract:
In this paper, we present the texture reformer, a fast and universal neural-based framework for interactive texture transfer with user-specified guidance. The challenges lie in three aspects: 1) the diversity of tasks, 2) the simplicity of guidance maps, and 3) the execution efficiency. To address these challenges, our key idea is to use a novel feed-forward multi-view and multi-stage synthesis procedure consisting of I) a global view structure alignment stage, II) a local view texture refinement stage, and III) a holistic effect enhancement stage to synthesize high-quality results with coherent structures and fine texture details in a coarse-to-fine fashion. In addition, we also introduce a novel learning-free view-specific texture reformation (VSTR) operation with a new semantic map guidance strategy to achieve more accurate semantic-guided and structure-preserved texture transfer. The experimental results on a variety of application scenarios demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of our framework. And compared with the state-of-the-art interactive texture transfer algorithms, it not only achieves higher quality results but, more remarkably, also is 2-5 orders of magnitude faster.

<p>With no face-to-face classes until a vaccine is available, schools have to adjust and learning must continue in different modalities. In the Philippines, online learning delivery is the primary mode of learning with many private schools adapting it. Learning continuity plan was created and the Department of Education set the most essential learning competencies for school year 2020-2021. Since education is a holistic approach, the mental and emotional well-being of the students must also be given significant attention. Counseling, a strong support in the welfare of the students, is needed to address the different concerns of the students. However, guidance counselors see a lot of challenges in providing counseling to students in an online environment. They have doubts in being truly present with the students. Potential mental and emotional health issues have been identified and preparations were made that will make the guidance and counseling services more felt and reliable despite being in an online modality. This study aims to find out the challenges that the guidance counselors encountered in providing counseling service to students. It also aims to identify the issues and concerns experienced by the students in online learning and the interventions provided by the guidance counselors in handling them. It found out that mental health issues, feeling of isolation, voluminous requirements and unstable internet connection were the concerns of the students. In addressing them, they provided individual and group counseling, communicated with the parents, collaborated more closely with the class advisers, teachers, and academic heads, strengthened the homeroom and guidance period, and held mental health activities. From the experiences, their realizations and new gained insights will be used as bases in enhancing the guidance and counseling program for school year 2021-2022.</p>
