Abstract:
BackgroundInherited peripheral neuropathies (IPNs) represent a broad group of genetically and clinically heterogeneous disorders, including axonal Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 2 (CMT2) and hereditary motor neuropathy (HMN). Approximately 60%–70% of cases with HMN/CMT2 still remain without a genetic diagnosis. Interestingly, mutations in HMN/CMT2 genes may also be responsible for motor neuron disorders or other neuromuscular diseases, suggesting a broad phenotypic spectrum of clinically and genetically related conditions. Thus, it is of paramount importance to identify novel causative variants in HMN/CMT2 patients to better predict clinical outcome and progression.MethodsWe designed a collaborative study for the identification of variants responsible for HMN/CMT2. We collected 15 HMN/CMT2 families with evidence for autosomal recessive inheritance, who had tested negative for mutations in 94 known IPN genes, who underwent whole-exome sequencing (WES) analyses. Candidate genes identified by WES were sequenced in an additional cohort of 167 familial or sporadic HMN/CMT2 patients using next-generation sequencing (NGS) panel analysis.ResultsBioinformatic analyses led to the identification of novel or very rare variants in genes, which have not been previously associated with HMN/CMT2 (ARHGEF28, KBTBD13, AGRN and GNE); in genes previously associated with HMN/CMT2 but in combination with different clinical phenotypes (VRK1 and PNKP), and in the SIGMAR1 gene, which has been linked to HMN/CMT2 in only a few cases. These findings were further validated by Sanger sequencing, segregation analyses and functional studies.ConclusionsThese results demonstrate the broad spectrum of clinical phenotypes that can be associated with a specific disease gene, as well as the complexity of the pathogenesis of neuromuscular disorders.

Abstract:
Polo-like kinase 1 (PLK1) is an essential cell cycle mitotic kinase component that plays an important role in cell cycle progression and has been reported to be involved in various cancers, including neuroblastoma (NB). PLK1 also regulates G2/M transition, chromosomal segregation, spindle assembly maturation, and mitotic exit. NB is an early embryonic-stage heterogeneous solid tumor and accounts for 15% of all pediatric cancer-related deaths. Therefore, we aimed to develop a targeting strategy for PLK1 by repurposing HMN-214 in NB. HMN-214 is a prodrug of HMN-176 and is known to selectively interfere with PLK1 function. In the present study, we performed the transcriptomic analysis of a large cohort of primary NB patient samples and revealed that PLK1 expression is inversely correlated with the overall survival of NB patients. Additionally, we found that PLK1 strongly correlates with NB disease and stage progression. HMN-214 significantly inhibited NB proliferation and colony formation in both MYCN-amplified and -nonamplified cell lines in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, HMN-214 induces apoptosis and significantly obstructs the cell cycle at the G2/M phase in NB cells by inhibiting multiple cell-cycle-related genes, such as PLK1, WEE1, CDK1, CDK2, Cyclin B1, CHK1, and CHK2. HMN-214 significantly inhibits cell cycle regulator CDK1 and the phosphorylation and activation of PLK1 in NB. In the NB 3D spheroid tumor model, HMN-214 significantly and in a dose-dependent manner inhibits spheroid tumor mass and growth. Overall, our study highlights that targeting PLK1 using HMN-214 is a novel therapeutic approach for NB.

Abstract:
The gas tungsten arc (GTA) weldability of high-Mn (HMn) steel and austenitic stainless steel (STS) 316L using dissimilar metal welds (DMWs) was investigated, to fabricate a fuel tank for an LNG-fueled ship. Three types of welding fillers, HMn steel, STS 309LMo and Inconel 625, were applied to the DMWs. The weldability of the DMWs was examined by investigating mechanical properties at 25 and -196 o C, followed by microstructural evolution and weld deformation. The GTA welding process was performed with a heat input range of 0.72–1.89 kJ/mm. All of the fillers employed in the study produced reasonable mechanical properties and low levels of precipitation, such as M<sub>7</sub>C<sub>3</sub> and Fe<sub>3</sub>C. However, the DN specimen using the Inconel 625 filler exhibited reduced ductility in the bending test. This was attributed to Nb-carbide precipitations at dendrite boundaries at the root weld. The DM specimen using HMn filler experienced severe thermal deformation because it had a relatively higher coefficient of thermal expansion than the other fillers during heating by arc and solidification. Therefore, STS 309LMo and HMn wires were determined to be the appropriate fillers for the DMW of HMn steel and STS 316L for cryogenic applications, and the HMn wire requires attention to weld deformation.

Abstract:
Surface atoms and dangling bonds on the surface affect the thermodynamic properties. A thermodynamical model, based on cohesive energy is presented to discuss the melting properties of materials at nanoscale. The model is used to realize the effect of size and shape on melting temperature Tmn, melting entropy Smn and enthalpy Hmn of Ni, Sn, Al and Cu metallic nanoparticles. The variation in Tmn, Smn and Hmn are examined for nanowire, film, spherical, regular tetrahedral, hexahedral and octahedral shaped nanoparticles. It is reported that Tmn, Smn and Hmn decrease with decreasing the size of the nanoparticles and smaller the particle size, greater are the size and shape effects and when size is less than 10 nm, it has been predicted that on decreasing size, Tmn, Smn and Hmn reduce appreciably. Also, at the same size, more the shape of nanoparticles departs from that of the sphere, smaller is the Smn and Hmn of nanoparticles and its changes are less for nanowire shape and more for regular tetrahedral shape. Our theoretical results are compared with the available experimental or simulation data. Results predicted by our model are in good agreement with experimental observations.

Pasal 33 ayat (3) Undang-undang Dasar 1945 berbunyi :"Bumi, air dan kekayaan alam yang terkandung didalamnya dikuasai oleh negara dan, dipergunakan untuk sebesar-besarnya kemakmuran rakyat." Konsep ini dikenal sebagai konsep Hak Menguasai Negara (HMN).Dengan demikian, politik agraria Indonesia berpusat pada kekuasaan yang besar dari negara terhadap penguasaan, pemilikan dan pemanfaatan sumber-sumber agraria.Cita-cita ideal yang terkandung di dalam konsep HMN adalah menempatkan negara sebagai sentral yang mengatur pemanfaatan kekayaan negeri untuk kemakmuran rakyat. Ironisnya untuk mewujudakan cita-cita ideal ini konsep HMN politik hukum agraria mengembangkan proses marginalisasi posisi UUPA 1960. Ideologi "pembangunan" atau developmentalism menjadi pemandu politik agraria yang dikelola secara sentralistik-sektoral tidak lain adalah kapitalisme, yang kini muncul dan berkembang sebagai sebuah kekuatan ekonomi politik yang megarah kepada praktek pasar bebas dimana tidak menghendaki peran Negara. Negara membiarkan mekanisme pasar mengatur produksi, distribusi maupun konsumsi.Dalam konteks pembangunan agraria yang harus ditelusuri lebih jauh adalah bagaimana hubungan konsep HMN berdasarkan UUPA dengan pasar bebas dan bagaimana pula pengaruh pasar bebas terhadap peran negara menurut konsep HMN berdasarkan UUPA.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian normatif dan data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif.Pada akhirnya melalui penerapan pasar bebas bukanlah kemakmuran global yang dicapai, melainkan situasi perekonomian dunia secara umum yang semakin terpuruk akibat dominasi Negara maju atas Negara berkembang. Abstract:
Emotion recognition in conversations is crucial as there is an urgent need to improve the overall experience of human-computer interactions. A promising improvement in this field is to develop a model that can effectively extract adequate contexts of a test utterance. We introduce a novel model, termed hierarchical memory networks (HMN), to address the issues of recognizing utterance level emotions. HMN divides the contexts into different aspects and employs different step lengths to represent the weights of these aspects. To model the self dependencies, HMN takes independent local memory networks to model these aspects. Further, to capture the interpersonal dependencies, HMN employs global memory networks to integrate the local outputs into global storages. Such storages can generate contextual summaries and help to find the emotional dependent utterance that is most relevant to the test utterance. With an attention-based multi-hops scheme, these storages are then merged with the test utterance using an addition operation in the iterations. Experiments on the IEMOCAP dataset show our model outperforms the compared methods with accuracy improvement.

Abstract:
Due to the increase in the human population, it is necessary to seek efficient methods of increasing crop productivity and, simultaneously, sustaining the soil. One way is to grow high demand crops continuously without rotating with other crops. This practice is often accompanied by increased rates of fertilizer application that can affect efficient nitrogen (N) cycling in the plant rhizosphere soil which, in turn, affects both plant growth and environmental pollution. In the present study, twelve various cucumber soils were selected from monoculture systems presenting different cropping years and divided into two groups including soils with relatively high mineral N (HMN) content (N > 100 mg kg−1 soil) and those with a lower mineral N (LMN) content (N < 100 mg kg−1 soil). All soils were amended with the addition of compost alone or in combination with bacterial inoculation to evaluate their effects on plant growth, microbial numbers, N mineralization, and N cycling genes. In general, the HMN soils increased (p < 0.05) net N mineralization (NNM) but did not statistically (p > 0.05) affect plant biomass compared to the LMN soils; however, compost addition increased both NNM and plant biomass in the HMN soils. In addition, the HMN soils had higher fungal pathogen numbers (FPNs) but lower total microbial biomass (TMB) and bacterial numbers (BNs) compared to the LMN soils; however, compost addition decreased FPNs but increased TMB and BNs in the HMN soils (all p < 0.05). Plant biomass was positively related to TMB, BN and NNM but was negatively related to FPN (all p < 0.05). In summary, compost addition reduced the high mineral N levels’ adverse effects on the rhizosphere soil and plant growth.

Abstract:
There is evidence for glycine and GABAA-receptor-mediated inhibition of hypoglossal motoneurons in vitro. However, comparable studies have not been performed in vivo, and the interactions of such mechanisms with integrative reflex respiratory control have also not been determined. This study tests the hypotheses that glycine at the hypoglossal motor nucleus (HMN) will suppress genioglossus (GG) muscle activity, even in the presence of hypercapnic respiratory stimulation, and the effects of glycine will be blocked by strychnine. We also determined whether coapplication of glycine and muscimol (GABAA- receptor agonist) to the HMN is additive in suppressing GG activity. Twenty-four urethane-anesthetized, tracheotomized, and vagotomized rats were studied. Diaphragm and GG activities, the electroencephalogram, and blood pressure were recorded. Microdialysis probes were implanted into the HMN for delivery of artificial cerebrospinal fluid (control), glycine (0.0001–10 mM), or muscimol (0.1 μM). Increasing glycine at the HMN produced graded suppression of GG activity ( P < 0.001), although the GG still responded to stimulation with 7% inspired CO2( P = 0.002). Strychnine (0.1 mM) reversed the glycine-mediated suppression of GG activity, whereas combined glycine and muscimol were additive in GG muscle suppression. It remains to be determined whether the recruitment of such glycine and GABA mechanisms explains the periods of major GG suppression in behaviors such as rapid eye movement sleep.

Abstract:
Syfte: I studien vill vi undersöka hur verksamma pedagoger uppfattar och förhåller sig till begreppen hen, könsidentitet och genus i förskolan.Bakgrund: Genus är ett brett ämne där förhållandet till samhället, kulturen och hur vi uppfattar och förväntar oss av män och kvinnor ställs mot varandra. Problematiken blir då lätt inom genus att dess bredd ger människor möjligheter till olika uppfattningar och åsikter. Genus är med andra ord ett begrepp som innefattar många olika ting och innebörder där genus kan variera från människa till människa, genom den kultur och samhälle de lever i.Teoretisk ram: I studien är resultatet sammankopplat med tre aktuella teorier och litteratur som belyser ämnena genus, könsidentitet och en artikel som belyser om begreppet hen. Vi har använts oss av Davies och Vygotskijs teorier som behandlar genus och barns skapande av könsidentiteter.Metod: I studien har det använts en kvalitativ metod med redskap av intervjuer, för att sedan kunna redovisa vårt resultat så har vi även använt oss av fenomenografi som ansats. Vi har intervjuat tio verksamma pedagoger i förskolan som har olika yrkesbakgrunder och kön.Resultat: Vi har undersökt hur begreppet hen, könsidentiteter och genus uppfattas och användas av våra medverkande respondenter. Respondenterna har olika uppfattningar om begreppet hen, några av respondenterna blev upprörda över att barnen skulle kallas för hen. En positiv aspekt som gavs av respondenterna är att hen verkar vara ett bra komplement att använda sig av i texter och när vi inte vet någons kön vare sig det gäller människor eller djur. Resultatet påvisar respondenters uppfattningar om hur barn skapar och formar sina könsidentiteter, vilket härleds till samhället. Respondenterna anser att barns skapande av könsidentiteterna är en pågående process som utökas genom barnens tidigare livserfarenheter. Det biologiska könet har barnen när de föds till pojke eller flicka och därför kommer barnen att formas av de stereotypiska förväntningar som samhället har på dem olika könen.

Normer fyller en viktig funktion för sociala interaktioner och vilka konsekvenser normbrott får beror på vilka normer som bryts och vem som bryter dem. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur brott mot sociala normer och könsnormer bedöms beroende på vilken könsidentitet normbrytaren har. Totalt deltog 117 personer (51.7 % kvinnor) mellan 18-73 år (M = 37.24, s = 13.27). Deltagarna randomiserades till en av tre versioner av en enkät där de fick bedöma olika normbrott. Versionerna var identiska med undantag för förnamnet på personerna som utförde normbrotten och efterföljande pronomen (hon, han eller hen). Utfallsmåtten var moralisk acceptans, olämplighet och sannolikhet. Resultaten visade att: (1) sociala normbrott bedömdes mer negativt för hon, (2) könsnormbrott bedömdes mer negativt för han, (3) ju starkare könsidentitet bedömaren rapporterade desto mer olämpliga bedömdes könsnormbrotten för hen och han, och (4) bedömarens kön påverkade hur normbrotten bedömdes. Implikationer av resultaten diskuteras.

I denna intervjustudie har jag använt mig av kvalitativa intervjuer för att ta reda på hur pedagoger resonerar kring genus, könsroller och könsneutrala ord på förskolan. Intervjuerna har jag genomfört utifrån frågeställningar som tar upp pedagogers medvetenheten kring språk som genusformare, hur och vad de gör för att motverka de traditionella könsrollerna samt användningen av könsneutrala ord på förskolan. Resultatet visar att pedagogerna ser på barnen som individer istället för bärare av genus och att fokuset istället kan ligga på det specifika barnets intressen. Det är fokuset på individen och inte språket som pedagogerna talar om när det gäller att motverka de traditionella könsrollerna på förskolan.När de talar om könsneutrala ord diskuterar de ord som fungerar lika bra för flickor och pojkar, de nämner även det könsneutrala ordet hen. Men för att könsneutrala ord ska fungera och användas av pedagogerna på förskolorna behöver de mer kunskaper, det är i slutändan pedagogerna som måste förklara för både barn och vårdnadshavare om dess betydelse.
In this interview study I have used qualitative interviews to find out how educators in preschool reason about gender, gender roles and gender neutral words in preschool. The interviews are based on issues concerning awareness about language as a shaping factor of gender, how and what educators do to counteract traditional gender roles, and the use of gender neutral words in preschool. The result show that the educators look at children as individuals rather than as carriers of gender, and that the focus can be on a specific child's interest. It it also the individual focus not the language that the educators talk about when it comes to breaking the gender roles in preschool. When talking about gender neutral words they diskuss words that work just as well for both for girls and boys, the swedish gender neutral word “hen” is also mentioned. But in order for gender neutral words to work and be used by the educators in preschools they need more knowledge, it is ultimately the educators who must explain its meaning of it to both children and guardians.

I den här studien har vi undersökt hur fyra förskollärare tolkar genusuppdraget i Läroplanen för förskolan (Lpfö98, rev2010) men också hur de uppfattar att deras förhållningssätt gällande hur genus påverkar barns identitetsutveckling. Vi har genomfört studien med hjälp en hermeneutisk forskningstradition och kvalitativa intervjuer. Förskollärarna som ingått i studien är väl medvetna om det genusuppdrag som finns i Lpfö98 (rev2010) men det har framkommit att de tycker det är svårt att sätta ord på exakt vad det innebär för dem. Dock är alla förskollärare överens om att genusuppdraget handlar om den enskilda individen och att det är denna som ska vara i fokus. Samtliga förskollärare anser att de arbetar genusmedvetet genom att anpassa miljö, material, förhållningssätt och verksamhet utifrån den enskilda individen. Abstract:
Denna studie syftar till att ur ett normkritiskt perspektiv undersöka hur förskollärare med erfarenhet av genusfrågor inom förskolan uppfattar och talar om sitt arbete med att motverka traditionella könsmönster och könsroller utifrån deras syn på kön. Undersökningen bygger på̊ kvalitativ metod som i detta fall innebär intervjuer. Det var sex förskollärare som intervjuades. Intervjuerna genomfördes på tre förskolor samt i två av respondenternas hem enligt deras önskemål. I resultatet gick det att urskilja två olika sätt att förhålla sig till genusarbete i förskolan. En grupp hade större erfarenhet av forskning och arbete kring kön och genus. De såg kön som mer komplext utifrån queerteori. Den andra gruppen ansåg sig inte ha tillräcklig erfarenhet av genusarbete och såg kön som binärt. Gruppen med större erfarenhet reflekterade mer kring vikten av vuxnas agerande för att bryta mot olika normer, vilket påverkade deras arbete att konsekvent ha ett genus och normkritiskt tänk. Respondenterna med större erfarenhet av genusarbete hade ett normkritiskt förhållningssätt som grundläggande perspektiv på verksamheten. Den andra gruppen respondenter prioriterade områden där de istället fokuserade på det som uppstod tillfälligt i barngruppen. De kritiserade inte normer i lika stor utsträckning utan fokuserade istället på avvikare och försökte skapa en större tolerans kring avvikare av normer eller valde att kringgå känsliga ämnen på olika sätt. Dessa två förhållningssätt visade sig också när det gällde det intersektionella perspektivet. Studien visade att erfarenhet av genusarbete inte styrker en gemensam syn på hur arbetet ska genomföras, vilket skolinspektionens rapport kring förskolans arbete med jämställdhet även visade.

I uppsatsen vill jag undersöka samhällskunskapsboken för gymnasiet "Kompass till samhällskunskap" ur ett genusperspektiv. Genom att utföra en diskursanalys hoppas jag finna de diskurser kring kön och genus som finns i boken. Teorin bygger främst på Hirdmans två principer; dikotomin och mannen som norm och överordnad. Samt hur detta är grunden för genusordningen. Resultatet påvisar flera olika diskurser kring kön och jämställdhet. Materialet har rikligt med exempel från människor som avviker från normen vit man men saknar kopplingar till strukturella förklaringar kring genus och fokuserar på det privata. Dikotomi, mellan mannen och kvinnan, och normer kring maskulinitet, femininitet och heterosexualitet reproduceras.
In this essay, I will examine the social studies book for high school "Kompass till Samhällskunskap" from a gender perspective. By conducting a discourse analysis, I hope to find the discourses on sex and gender. The theory is based primarily on Hirdmans's two principles for the gender order: the dichotomy and the man as the norm and superior.The result demonstrates a variety of discourses on gender and gender equality. The material has plenty of examples of people who deviate from the standard white man. However, the book is lack of connections to structural explanations of gender and focus on the privacy and not the political aspect. Dichotomy between man and woman, and norms about masculinity, femininity and heterosexuality is reproduced.

Abstract:
Two categories of sex are considered to not be enough and the use of a masculine pronoun in cases where gender is unknown is said to increase the gaps instead of bringing them together when it comes to gender equality. In 2015, the new word ze (in swedish: hen) was added to the Swedish Academic Glossary and since then the opinions regarding the linguistic change have gone apart. This study aims to provide in-depth knowledge of the gender neutral pronouns ze, the attitudes to and the use of the word in the Swedish language and society. Through a quantitative study with a survey as a method; 226 questionnaires were collected. Then they were analyzed based on the theoretical framework based on a sociolinguistic perspective and queertheory that focuses on normality and deviation. The results from the study show that more than half of the respondents have a positive attitude towards ze. It is primarily in writing that the gender neutral pronoun is used; almost half of the respondents state that they prefer the word in writing situations. Language usage in general affects a persons attitude to the word ze, the more linguistic change someone has accepted, the more likely it is that they start using a future one. The conclusion is that linguistic changes take time, but despite that, ze have been established in the Swedish language and society as a gender neutral pronoun but not as a third gender category.

Abstract:
Språk både reflekterar och påverkar vår världssyn. Hur mottas då försök från gräsrotsnivå att introducera ett könsneutralt pronomen i ett språk som speglar den i samhället rådande könsdikotomin? Syftet med denna uppsats är att utifrån Hirdmans och Butlers respektive genusteorier undersöka vilken inställning användare på ett stort svenskt internetforum har till det könsneutrala personliga pronomenet hen. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av en internetbaserad enkät som besvarades av cirka 150 personer. För att analysera svaren till de slutna frågorna tog vi hjälp av statistikprogrammet SPSS och för att bearbeta de öppna frågorna har vi använt oss av en tematisk analys. Resultatet visar på starkt polariserade åsikter runt hen, där ungefär lika många personer är för som emot ordet. Bland dem som är emot användandet av hen uppfattar de flesta att syftet med ordet är att skapa ett könslöst samhälle, medan hen-förespråkarna ser det som ett komplement till hon och han. Vi har även kunnat se att det finns ett visst samband mellan individens attityd till hen och dennes syn på kön och genus, vilket bekräftar vår hypotes om att det finns en sådan korrelation.
Language reflects our worldview as well as shapes it. How is grass roots level attempts to introduce a gender neutral pronoun received in a society which reflects a gender dichotomy? The purpose of this study is to, inspired by Hirdman’s and Butler’s respective theories on gender, explore what attitudes users of a large Swedish internet community have towards the gender neutral pronoun hen. The current work was performed using an Internet-based survey which was completed by roughly 150 individuals. To analyze the closed ended questions of the survey we used SPSS, whereas the open ended questions were processed with the aid of a thematic method of analysis. The results indicate that the opinions concerning hen are largely polarized, with about as many respondents pro as against the usage of the word. Among those who are against using hen the majority perceive that creating a “genderless” society is the main purpose of the word, whereas most of the word’s intercessors think  that the purpose is to pose as a complement to the pronouns han and hon (he and she).  The study shows that there is a certain connection between the respondent’s attitude towards hen and his/her view on gender, which confirms our hypothesis that there is such a correlation.

I denna uppsats kommer den muslimska kvinnans ställning i religionsundervisningens läromedel i gymnasieskolans att granskas ur ett genusperspektiv. För att studera detta kommer den generella bilden av kvinnans status som troende muslim i det svenska samhället att belysas. Även den negativa bilden som media ger när det kommer till muslimer har påverkat islamofobi i samhället, vilket har en betydelse i skolans miljö när det kommer till undervisning i religionskunskap. Skolans uppgift är att undervisa eleven med en tolerant och demokratisk syn. Fokus är att bredda förståelsen när det kommer till genusforskning och varför skolmaterial fortfarande representerar kvinnan som underordnad. Frågeställningarna som uppsatsen utgår ifrån är hur den muslimska kvinnan framställs i kapitlet islam samt om islamkapitlen uppnår styrdokumentens mål gällande jämställdhet. Analysen i uppsatsen baseras på en enkätundersökning och en läromedelsanalys ur ett genusperspektiv där vi analyserar tre aktuella läromedel i religionsundervisningen 1 på utvalda gymnasieskolor i Sverige. Syftet med läromedelsanalysen är att undersöka hur läromedlen uppnår styrdokumentens jämställdhetsmål. För att få en förståelse om jämställdhetsmålet i skolan samt en syn på hur läraren arbetar med jämställdhet i undervisningen har vi gjort en anonym kvalitativ intervjufrågeställning till ett flertal religionslärare på gymnasienivå. Den valda metoden i uppsatsen är en kvalitativ innehållsanalys där metoden diskursanalys används för att i textinnehållets språkanvändning studera hur kvinnan framställs.   Analysen visar utifrån enkätundersökningen att begreppet jämställdhet är ett svårarbetat område. Utifrån läromedelsanalysen visar det sig att litteraturmaterialet inte följer styrdokumentets mål samt att textinnehållet utgår från en mansnorm där kvinnan framställs som underordnad. För att litteraturen ska uppnå skolans jämställdhetsmål behöver läromedelsförfattarna ha ett könsneutralt språk och en genusmedvetenhet.
