Abstract:

Syftet med denna undersökning är att beskriva hur de svårigheter elever med ADHD har i skolan, samt hur vi pedagoger kan hjälpa dem tillgodogöra sig utbildningen. Undersökningen är kvalitativ och bygger på intervjuer av lärare som arbetat mycket med ADHD-elever. Jag har även tagit stöd i litteraturen för att återge de svårigheter dessa elever har, samt hur man enligt forskarna stöttar dessa elever på bästa sätt. Resultatet visar att det råder en stor kongruens mellan forskarnas och lärarnas undervisningsmetoder, men det finns också skillnader. Elever med ADHD är ingen homogen grupp, utan deras svårigheter varierar. Därför behöver man som lärare en stor kunskap om hur dessa elevers svårigheter yttrar sig samt hur man på bästa sätt kan undervisa för att underlätta både för läraren, övriga elever och eleven med ADHD.

Abstract:

Introdução: Hiperplasia Macronodular Adrenal Primária (PMAH) é uma causa rara de Síndrome de Cushing (SC), caracterizada por macronódulos funcionantes geralmente acometendo ambas as glândulas adrenais. Recentemente, o exame 18F-FDG PET/CT detectou três pacientes com PMAH apresentando captação aumentada de 18F-FDG. No entanto, ainda não foi elucidado o mecanismo pelo qual a PMAH apresentaria uma alta captação de 18F-FDG. Objetivos: Os objetivos deste estudo foram investigar se a expressão de GLUT1, HK1, HK2 e/ou HK3 estão relacionados à alta captação de 18F-FDG na PMAH e comparar estas expressões com tecidos adrenais provenientes de pacientes com AAC e CAA. Métodos: 12 pacientes com PMAH que realizaram 18F-FDG-PET/CT, previamente à adrenalectomia. A captação de 18F-FDG foi quantificada como maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax). Expressão do RNAm foi investigada através de RT-PCR e a expressão proteica através de técnicas de imunoistoquímica. Expressão gênica e proteica dos pacientes com PMAH foi comparada com 15 pacientes com AAC e 10 pacientes com CAA. As correlações foram realizadas através do teste de coeficiente de correlação de Pearson e as comparações, através do teste Kruskal-Wallis, seguido do ajuste de Dunn. Significância estatística foi considerada quando p < 0.05. Resultados: Todos os pacientes com PMAH apresentaram alta captação de 18F-FDG, cujo SUVmáx variou de 3.3 a 8.9 e o tamanho do maior nódulo variou de 3.5 a 15cm. Foi observada forte correlação positiva entre o tamanho do maior nódulo e o SUVmáx nos pacientes com PMAH. No entanto, não foi estabelecida correlação entre a expressão de GLUT1, HK1, HK2 e HK3 e o SUVmáx nos pacientes com PMAH. A expressão do SLC2A1 e HK2 foi significativamente maior nos pacientes com CAA do que nos pacientes com AAC e PMAH. Conclusões: A captação aumentada de 18F-FDG na PMAH não está relacionada ao aumento da expressão de GLUT1, HK1, HK2 e HK3. Estudos futuros serão necessários para elucidar a via glicolítica que é responsável pelo metabolismo da glicose na PMAH
Introduction: Primary macronodular adrenal hyperplasia (PMAH) is a rare cause of Cushing\'s syndrome, characterized by functioning adrenal macronodules and increased cortisol production. Recently, integrated 18F-FDG-PET/CT examination revealed an increased 18F-FDG uptake in patients with PMAH. However, it is still unclear the mechanism by which PMAH would present with a high 18F-FDG uptake in PET/CT. Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate whether GLUT1, HK1, HK2 and/or HK3 expression would account for the high18F-FDG uptake in PMAH and compare these expressions with ACA and ACC adrenal tisuue. Methods: 12 patients undergoing adrenalectomy for PMAH with previous 18F-FDG-PET/CT. 18F-FDG uptake was quantified as the maximum standardized uptake value (maxSUV). mRNA expression was investigated through quantitative RT-PCR and protein expression was investigated using immunohistochemical studies. PMAH gene and protein expression were compared to 15 patients with ACA and 10 with ACC. Correlations were performed through Pearson\'s correlation coefficient test and comparisons through Kruskal-Wallis test, followed by Dunn adjust. Statistical significance was considered when p < 0.05. Results: All patients with PMAH presented with high 18F-FDG uptake, the range of SUVmax in these patients varied from 3.3 to 8.9 and the nodule sizes varied from 3.5 to 15 cm. There was a strong positive correlation between the nodule size and 18F-FDG uptake. However, no correlation could be established between gene and protein expression of GLUT1, HK1, HK2 and HK3 and 18F-FDG uptake. SLC2A1 and HK2 expression was significantly higher in patients with CCA than in patients with AAC and PMAH. Conclusions: Increased 18F-FDG uptake in PMAH does not arise from the overexpression of GLUT1, HK1, HK2 or HK3. Further investigation is required to elucidate the glycolytic pathway involved in glucose metabolism in PMAH

Abstract:

Dans la prostate humaine trois gènes de kallicréines tissulaires codent les protéases HK1, HK2 et HK3, libérées dans le fluide séminal. HK2, récemment purifiée, est étudiée comme marqueur sérique des pathologies prostatiques en remplacement ou en complément du marqueur actuel HK3 (PSA, Prostate specific antigen). HK1 est connue pour son activité productrice de kinine. Dans le tractus génital et les foyers métastatiques. Le rôle de ces protéases est méconnu. L'activité enzymatique de HK1 peut être suivie avec des substrats synthétiques contrairement à celles de HK2 et HK3. Des inhibiteurs de la famille des serpines régulent leur activité ; le PCI (protein C inhibitor) inhibe les trois enzymes. L'#1-Antichymotrypsine (ACT) inhibe HK3 et la Kallistatine HK1. Ces serpines interagissent comme des substrats suicides avec leur protéase cible et sont clivées au niveau de leur boucle réactive. Les séquences entourant ces sites de clivage ont été utilisées pour élaborer des substrats peptidiques fluorogéniques. La même stratégie a été utilisée pour développer des substrats à partir des semenogelines, protéines structurales du coagulum seminal et substrats naturels de HK3. Les peptides dérivés du PCI sont clivés préférentiellement par HK1 et HK2, et après modification permettent d'obtenir des substrats spécifiques pour chacune. Aucun substrat sensible de HK3 n'a pu être développé à partir des serpines ; le clivage d'un peptide dérivé de l'act, inhibiteur physiologique de HK3, obtenu dans des conditions expérimentales optimisées, suggère un mode d'interaction particulier entre ces deux partenaires. Un substrat 100 fois plus sensible que les substrats actuels a été synthétisé pour HK3 à partir d'une séquence entourant un site de clivage post-éjaculatoire de la semenogeline. Les séquences peptidiques de cibles naturelles des Kallicréines ont permis de synthétiser des substrats sensibles et spécifiques ; leur utilisation permettra de mieux comprendre le rôle biologique des enzymes

Abstract:

Les kallicréines humaines hK2 et hK3 sont deux protéases à sérine exprimées essentiellement dans la prostate. HK3 participerait à la liquéfaction du plasma séminal en dégradant les séménogélines, les protéines majeures du coagulum formé immédiatement après éjaculation. Le rôle physiologique des kallicréines hK2 et hK3 n'est cependant pas clairement établi. Chez les patients atteints de cancer de la prostate, les concentrations sériques en hK2 et hK3 augmentent fortement suggérant que ces protéases pourraient jouer un rôle dans la croissance tumorale. Afin de faciliter la détection de hK3 enzymatiquement active dans les fluides biologiques, nous avons dans un premier temps conçu des substrats fluorogéniques peptidiques pour hK3. Ces substrats, dérivés de la séquence des séménogélines, se sont avérés beaucoup plus sensibles à l'hydrolyse par hK3 que ceux actuellement utilisés pour mesurer l'activité de cette protéase. Nous avons montré dans un deuxième temps que hK2 et hK3 pourraient participer à la progression cancéreuse selon deux voies au moins. Ces kallicréines sont capables de dégrader les protéines de liaison des facteurs de croissance de type insuline (IGFBPs), ce qui contribuerait à augmenter la biodisponibilité des IGFs dont l'action mitogénique favoriserait la croissance tumorale. D'autre part, nous avons mis en évidence que hK2 et hK3 pourraient en inactivant les inhibiteurs physiologiques de l'urokinase et de la plasmine (PAI-1, inhibiteur de l'activateur du plasminogène-1 et alpha2-antiplasmine), augmenter indirectement l'activité protéolytique de ces deux protéases sur les protéines de la matrice extracellulaire et faciliter ainsi la dissémination des cellules cancéreuses
HK2 and hK3 are two serine proteases mainly expressed in the prostate gland. HK3 is thought to be responsible for the liquefaction of seminal plasma through proteolysis of the semenogelins, the major proteins forming coagulum immediately after ejaculation. Nevertheless, the physiological function of kallikreins hK2 and hK3 is still unclear. Men suffering from prostate cancer have high plasma concentrations of both kallikreins hK2 and hK3 which suggests that these two kallikreins could be involved in tumor growth. .

Abstract:

This thesis proposes a security solution in key management and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) for wireless sensor networks. It addresses challenges of designing in energy and security requirement. Since wireless communication consumes the most energy in sensor network, transmissions must be used efficiently. We propose Hint Key Distribution (HKD) for key management and Adaptive IDS for distributing activated IDS nodes and cooperative operation of these two protocols. HKD protocol focuses on the challenges of energy, computation and security. It uses a hint message and key chain to consume less energy while self-generating key can secure the secret key. It is a proposed solution to key distribution in sensor networks. Adaptive IDS uses threshold and voting algorithm to distribute IDS through the network. An elected node is activated IDS to monitor its network and neighbors. A threshold is used as a solution to reduce number of repeated activations of the same node. We attempt to distribute the energy use equally across the network. In a cooperative protocol, HKD and Adaptive IDS exchange information in order to adjust to the current situation. The level of alert controls the nature of the interaction between the two protocols.

Abstract:

When talking about how to present information in virtual reality, the possibilities are countless, but there are also many problems surrounding the spatial location of the information. This study aims to examine where and how the instructions in a vehicle training simulator should be presented in a future implementation of the interface in virtual reality. To find this out, a gameplay was created in which four different placements of the instructions were made. Three options were based on earlier studies made by Smith (2015) and Jose (2016) and the fourth was based on the existing information in the vehicle training simulator. These gameplays were presented as a movie to a number of interviewees and followed up by questions after each movie. The interviewees were asked to give the movies three ratings from 1-5, valuing how they perceived the presentation of the instructions. To get further opinions, comments was collected from the interviewees throughout each session. In this two ways, we got answers to which of the four options the interviewees thought was best. The study showed that there were two options that stood out among the others and both were based on the concept of a head-up display, also known as a HUD. One was represented in the bottom of the windshield and the other one in the top. The result of which one of them who were perceived as best is too close to say, although the study is considered to have reached its goal, which was to help the developers on their way to a decision that will eventually be implemented.

SammanfattningKängurumetoden (KMC) innebär att bära nyfödda barn direkt mot en människas hud. Detta påverkar barnet på olika sätt och mycket finns dokumenterat kring detta. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva föräldrars upplevelser med att vårda sitt nyfödda barn med kängurumetod. För att besvara syftet utfördes en systematisk litteraturstudie. Resultatet från tio artiklar sammanfattades i fem olika kategorier. Kategorierna var: Underlättad anknytning, Naturlig kroppslig närhet, Trygghet i rollen som förälder, Rädsla, obehag och otillfredsställelse, och Psykiskt välbefinnande. Föräldrar som använt KMC upplevde bland annat välbefinnande, förbättrad anknytning och trygghet som förälder. Efter genomgång av artiklarna kunde författarna konstatera att det är viktigt att sjuksköterskans omvårdnad omfattar hela familjen för att optimera deras stöd för varandra. Det är också viktigt med information för att göra föräldrarna trygga i sin föräldraroll.

Abstract:

Human β-defensins (hBDs) are a family of cationic peptides able to directly kill a wide range of microorganisms including bacteria, fungi and viruses. In addition to their antimicrobial activities, defensins also contribute to the modulation of both the host innate and adaptive immunity. In this project, we demonstrate that the αCD3/28 co-stimulation of human CD4+ T cells in the presence of 10μg/ml hBD-2 or hBD-3 together causes an up-regulation in numbers of CD4+CD69+CD25+ and CD4+CD69-CD25+ T cell subsets, indicating that the treatment of hBD-2 and 3 enhances CD4+ T cell activation. Consistent with this finding, proliferation assay using CFSE suggests that hBD-2 and hBD-3 treatment in vitro induces the proliferation of CD4+ T cells following by 96hrs culture. Analysis of expression of the regulatory T cells (Tregs) specific marker, FoxP3, reveals a shift in the CD4+CD127-CD25+ Treg subset at 18hrs. However, at the later time point, we found that the percentage of FoxP3+cells decreased in the CD4+CD127-CD25+ Treg population, whereas the presence of the FoxP3+CTLA-4+ Treg subset increased. These data indicate that Treg suppressive function may be potentially defective following the co-incubation of purified T cells with either hBD-2 or hBD-3 for 42hrs in vitro due to the apparent loss of FoxP3 expression. We further characterise the role of hBD-2 and hBD-3 in driving human CD4+ T cells polarisation. Our in vitro data suggests that treatment with hBD-2 and hBD-3 can not only induces effector T cell (Teff) differentiation into RORγt+T-bet+ (Th17/Th1) cells, but can also trigger the differentiation of Treg expressing RORγt and T-bet rather than the master controller of Treg function, FoxP3. This apparent plasticity of T cell phenotype allows them to convert from Treg to Th1/17-like effector T cell phenotype following 18hrs in culture. By 42hrs in culture, treatment with hBD-2 and hBD-3 induced both Teff cell and Treg cell differentiation towards the Th17-like phenotype. Compared with the treatment with hBD-2, treatment with hBD-3 induced a more pronounced effect to increase levels of RORγt in CD4+ T cells. This elevated expression may, in turn, be responsible for the induction of higher IL-17A secretion. Consistent with this idea, it was found that treatment with hBD-3 but not hBD-2 was capable of inducing the higher level of secretion of IL-17A. Additionally, treatment with hBD-3 induced an increased expression of IL-6, which is capable of driving the differentiation of naïve T cells towards IL-17-producing Th17 cells. Functionally, using the Treg suppression assay, the data suggested that hBD-2 may dampen down Treg cell ability to induce suppression of Teff cell activity. Interestingly, co-culture with hBD-2 would also appear to increase Teff cell resistance to Treg immunoregulation in vitro. Further investigation using microarray gene analysis revealed chemokine C-C motif ligand 1 (CCL1) as potential genes responding to hBD-2 treatment. The blockade of CCL1 has been reported to inhibit Treg suppressive function. Thus, this study explored the function of these antimicrobial candidates in regulating CD4+ T cell plasticity which could result in hBD-2 and hBD-3 being able to regulate its own production, but also may regulate Treg and Teff cell development and function, thus strengthening the link between innate and adaptive immunity.

Abstract:

Studier har visat att hud-mot-hud har flera positiva effekter för modern och det nyfödda barnet. Trots detta upplever barnmorskor hinder för kontinuerlig hud-mot-hud under föräldraparens BB-vistelse. Syftet med arbetet var att beskriva barnmorskors tankar kring hinder och möjligheter för kontinuerlig hud-mot-hud på barnbördshus (BB). Forskning finns om hud-mot-hud men inga specifika studier om barnmorskors tankar kring vilka hinder och möjligheter som finns för kontinuerlig hud-mot-hud under BB-vistelsen. En intervjustudie utfördes och materialet bearbetades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys för att lyfta fram de viktigaste aspekterna. Resultatet som framkom belyser barnmorskors tankar om hinder och möjligheter vid implementering av kontinuerlig hud-mot-hud under barnets första dygn på BB. Resultatet av studien visade att barnmorskorna största hinder var brist på riktlinjer, förekomsten av barnsängar, bristande föräldrainformation, platsbrist, samt föräldrarnas kulturella bakgrund och personalens attityder. De möjligheter som lyftes fram var enkelrum, bärhjälpmedel såsom tubtopp eller bärsjal, samt att utbilda föräldrarna under graviditeten. Vårdhandlingen införlivas lättast om de blivande föräldrar deltar i förberedande föräldrakurser under graviditeten, samt att personalen är välutbildade och uppmuntrar till hud-mot-hud.
Studies have shown that skin-to-skin care has several positive effects for both the mother and the newborn. Despite this, midwifes experience that it can be difficult to get parents to implement the skin-to-skin care continuously during its stay the maternity ward. The aim of the thesis is to describe midwives’ thoughts on the obstacles and opportunities for continuous skin-to-skin care at the maternity ward. There are studies on skin-to-skin care but no specific studies regarding midwives’ thoughts on the obstacles and opportunities for continuous skin-to-skin care during maternity stay. An interview study was conducted, and the material was processed using qualitative content analysis to highlight the main points. The result highlighted midwives’ thoughts on the obstacles and opportunities in the implementation of continuous skin-to-skin contact during the child's first days in the maternity ward. The results of the study showed that midwives biggest obstacles are the hospital baby beds, as well as lack of guidelines, parental information, private rooms, and the parents' cultural background and the staff attitudes. The opportunities that arouse were private rooms, aids such as tube tops or slings, and prenatal parental training during pregnancy. Skin-to-skin care can most easily be implemented when parents participate in preparatory parenting training, and when the staff is well trained and encourage implementing skin-to-skin care.

Abstract:

Trots att evidens finns att vård av det nyfödda barnet hud mot hud hos sin mor främjar anknytning och amning separeras barnet från sin mor på grund av förlossningsavdelningens arbetssätt. Vid en födsel uppstår det ofta en bristning i underlivet varav de flesta kan sys på förlossningsrummet. Om den nyblivna modern är i behov av spinalanestesi för att sy bristningen flyttas modern till operationsavdelningen och en separation uppstår. Syftet med förbättringsarbetet var att införa ett nytt arbetssätt för att främja vård hud mot hud när en bristning i underlivet behöver sys i spinalanestesi. Efter införandet av det nya arbetssättet i oktober 2019 har 20 barn vårdas hud mot hud då bristningen sytts i spinalanestesi på förlossningsrummet. I de uppföljande samtalen med de nyblivna föräldrarna och personalen var övervägande mycket nöjda med det nya arbetssättet. Arbetssättet har även bidragit till att användningen av klinikens resurser reducerats. En kvalitativ intervjustudie utfördes med syftet att studera faktorer som motiverar personalen vid införandet av det nya arbetssättet. I studien framkom tre motiverande faktorer; att göra det bästa för mor och barn, att få feedback och stöd i genomförande av det nya arbetssättet samt känslan att vara delaktig i processen.

Syftet med det här arbetet har varit att dels fördjupa mina egna kunskaper om beröringens betydelse för människan och människans utveckling och dels att söka kunskap om vilka reaktioner som sker i kroppen vid positiv beröring. Kunskaperna kommer sedan att ligga till grund för mötet med mina elever i framtiden. Resultaten bygger på läst litteratur inom området och på en intervju med en person som har stor erfarenhet av beröring och massage i skolan.

Vi kan inte överleva om ingen rör oss, ingen ser oss, ingen bryr sig om oss. Beröring är inte bara vägen till känslomässig kontakt, den taktila kommunikationen är också relaterad till inlärning. Beröring är att kommunicera. Beröringssinnet, som är en del av känselsinnet, är det första sinnet som utvecklas hos det lilla barnet och ofta det sista sinnet som kvarstår vid ålderdomen. Genom att beröra varandra på ett positivt sätt skapas vänskapsband och trygghet. För att människan ska kunna utveckla koncentration, organisationsförmåga och teoretisk inlärning måste våra sinnen vara integrerade och kunna samordnas i hjärnan. Denna integrering sker i fyra flytande nivåer, där beröringen är en viktig delkomponent. Forskning inom området visar på att beröring minskar mängden stresshormoner i blodet. Vid forskning på djur har man kunnat uppmäta höjda halter av lugn- och rohormonet oxytocin i blodet efter lätt massage.

På flera skolor i landet har man infört en typ av beröring som kallas kompismassage. Det har bland annat resulterat i ett lugnare och trevligare klassrumsklimat, bättre kamratrelationer och mindre mobbning. Genom en ökad medvetenhet om beröringens betydelse kan vi som arbetar i skolan bli mer uppmärksammade på hur vi kan använda beröring i ett utvecklande syfte.

Abstract:

This thesis argues that H.D.'s creativity originates in a flight from reality. Hilda Doolittle's adoption of her initials is interpreted as a sign of the writer's rejection of any identity located in the shared reality of the historical and the quotidian. From childhood her personality presented itself to her as a duality; detaching herself from the merely visible and material world, H. D. created an intense inner life which asserted itself in the dimension of artistic realization. It is argued that paradoxically the unevenness and discontinuity that characterize H.D.'s work derive from the same roots as her artistic originality and power: in her "split dual personality" which posited reality in the disembodied self. H.D. discovered in ancient Greece a metaphor and a direction for her own inner world. However her Imagist poems are not imitative but genuinely original: H.D. invented a new reality which she projected as a world devoid of all traces of human presence. H.D.'s subsequent shift of interest towards autobiographical prose is interpreted as a response to the threatened disintegration of her identity after World War I. The formlessness and repetition of much of H.D.'s prose is thus attributed to the exacerbation of the writer’s dichotomy of being. However, in some of her prose works H.D. succeeded in transfiguring the autobiographical material through the reinvention of reality in the image of her own subjectivity. Seeking new forms for her projection of the self, H.D. turned increasingly towards the occult which she understood as the science of the invisible dimension. She conflated with the occult her discoveries of the cinema as self-projection, and psychoanalysis as an instrument of knowledge of the inner being. It is argued that these interests exacerbated the solipsism inherent in H.D.'s rejection of external reality. With the exception of the war Trilogy, H.D.'s work becomes locked in private meanings which render it increasingly inaccessible to the reader. It is argued that after her mental breakdown in 1946, H.D. never recovered her vitality and originality as an artist. The space that this thesis devotes to the life of H.D. does not intend to justify her work by her life, but to signify that the literary message cannot be isolated from the circumstances in which the process of creation takes place. Thus H.D.'s flight from reality is not judged from an existential point of view as a diminution of being, since it is out of her "split dual personality" that H.D. emerges as a genuinely creative and original artist.

My degree project consists of The Haven, a single-channel video (19.25 min) and So nothing had really changed, a prose text which is also my master essay. They are two stand-alone works, but with a strong connection in that the text refers to the film. The film tells the story of an undefined we and their everyday existence. It takes place in the communal laundry house - or tvättstugan, typical to Swedish housing complexes - where they spend time to meet their physical needs, as well as to live in an illusion for a couple of hours and be part of a bigger we. The text tells the story of a woman enrolled in an art university, working on her projects while trying to adapt to life as an art student, when a shattering incident in her private life starts a process dealing with loss, shame, feelings of guilt and questions about identity. A new film script is slowly coming to life, but she is struggling within herself; not wanting to do it, and at the same time, not being able to stop it.

Conferencia realizado del 12 al 14 de setiembre en Lima, Peru del 2012 en el marco del 15º Simposio Internacional de Tesis y Disertaciones Electrónicas (ETD 2012). Evento aupiciado por la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) y la Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC).
A mandate for ETD deposit at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) was first made in 2001. Retrospective conversion projects with author consent, and assumed consent, finished in 2011, producing an ETD collection, 20,000 strong, online in open access, making HKU first in Asia with all of its thesis collection online, and perhaps the single institution in the world with the largest such collection. In 2011 these ETDs were merged into the HKU IR, The HKU Scholars Hub. Usage statistics of the Hub increased dramatically. The January 2012 Webometric rankings of world repositories showed the Hub climbing 114 places to number 50. In the race to grab stakeholder attention, the addition of ETDs to the Hub is a win / win situation. The Hub shows records for publications, grant projects, author profiles, organizations, all interlinked to each other, showing all aspects of research at HKU [use idea of CRIS?]. Professoriate profiles in the Hub show a list of their supervised research students, and links to their finished fulltext theses, also in the Hub. These links are likewise reciprocated for thesis supervisors in the thesis records. All HKU theses now carry a DOI which increases discovery, and allows import of CrossRef citation data. Rates of download of HKU ETDs have doubled almost every year since 2001. All indications lead to the conclusion that having all facets of research in one repository, add value to each other, and increase rates of discovery and re-use. This then further brings increases in invitations for collaborative research, employment, speaking engagements.., with a concomitant increase of the hosting institution.

Tio procent av alla barn som föds i Sverige vårdas på neonatalavdelning. Där arbetar barnsjuksköterskor med särskild kompetens inom barn- och barnsjukvård med en viktig roll att stärka barns rätt till hälsa och föräldrarnas delaktighet i vården. Hud-mot-hud är en omvårdnadsmetod som har visat sig ge många fördelar för barnen. Samtidigt har utmaningar identifierats kring hur hud-mot-hud kan genomföras på bästa sätt och att barnsjuksköterskors uppfattningar och attityder kan påverka resultatet. Syftet med studien var att beskriva barnsjuksköterskors uppfattningar om och attityder till att vårda hud-mot-hud på neonatalavdelning. Sex intervjuer med sjuksköterskor har genomförts via digitala videoverktyg. Resultatet visade att barnsjuksköterskor är positivt inställda till att vårda hud-mot hud. De anser att det är det viktigaste föräldrarna kan göra för sitt barn och ser det som sitt ansvar att göra dem delaktiga i vården och stötta dem så att anknytningen främjas. Diskussion har förts utifrån hur det är att vårda de mycket för tidigt födda och svårast sjuka barnen, vad hud-mot-hud betyder för anknytningen och familjecentrerad vård. Slutsatsen blir att barnsjuksköterskor med sin unika kompetens kan stärka föräldrarna i hud-mot-hud-vården så att barnens hälsa främjas.

Vård hud mot hud av det prematura barnet sker oftast på mammas eller pappas bröst och forskning visar att detta är en gynnsam miljö för barnets utveckling och hälsa. Det har också en positiv inverkan på föräldrarnas anknytnings process. En otrygg anknytning kan leda till ohälsa längre fram i livet och det är därför viktigt ur ett folkhälsoperspektiv att det finns forskning som visar hur personalen ska gå till väga för att ge stöd och hjälp till föräldrar att vårda sitt barn hud mot hud. Syftet med denna undersökning var att ta reda personalens uppfattning och erfarenheter av att vårda barn hud mot hud. För att undersöka detta genomfördes sju semistrukturerade intervjuer med barnsjuksköterskor och barnsköterskor på en neonatalavdelning på ett sjukhus i mellan Sverige. Materialet som intervjuerna gav analyserades genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys. I resultatet framkom tre kategorier: personalens syn på sin roll, barnperspektiv och föräldraperspektiv. Kategorierna resulterade i temat ”motstridiga känslor hos personalen”. Detta framkom genom att personalen i sin roll och med sin kunskap om hud mot hud även behöver förhålla sig till barnets behov och barnets rätt till bästa vård samt föräldrarnas behov och svårigheter. Sammanfattningsvis framkom att kunskap, kunskapsöverförande samt att ge föräldrar praktisk hjälp är viktiga för att öka antal timmar barnet vårdas hud mot hud.

Bakgrund: Hud mot hudkontakt är nödvändigt för att främja närhet och anknytning hos det prematurt födda barnet samt förstärker föräldrarollen.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa män och kvinnors, dvs föräldrar till för tidigt födda barn och deras upplevelser av att använda metoden hud mot hud. Metod: Kvalitativ ansats där data samlades in genom intervjuer och analyserades med hjälp av en tematisk innehållsanalys. I studien ingick sammanlagt tolv informanter från södra Sverige vilka intervjuades under barnets vårdtid eller kort därefter. Resultat: Huvudresultatet mynnade i fyra kategorier ”Motstridiga känslor”, ”Viktigt för barnets utveckling”, ”Viktigt för anknytning och närhet” och ”Betydelsen av personalens kompetens och stöd”. Vidare ledde dessa till sex underkategorier ”Tidskrävande”, ”Barnfokuserad”, ”Förstärkte föräldrarollen”, ”Effekter av hud mot hud på föräldrarna”, ”Att försöka njuta och leva i nuet” och ”Betydelsen av miljön runt omkring”. Konklusion: Både kvinnor och män upplevde att dessa blivit föräldrar på riktigt när de fick utöva hud mot hudkontakt. Metoden hade även positiva effekter på föräldrarna. Vidare framkom att information var av stor betydelse och specialistsjuksköterskan och dess team bör eftersträva att ge upprepad information.
Background: Skin-to-skin contact is necessary to promote closeness and attachment to the prematurely born baby and to strengthen the parenting role. Aim: The purpose of the study was to highlight women and men ́s, namely parents to early-born children and their experiences of using the skin-to-skin method. Method: Qualitative approach where data was collected by interviews and analysed by a thematic content analysis. The study included a total of twelve informants from south of Sweden, who were interviewed during their child’s care period or shortly after. Result: The main result led to the four following categories “Conflicting feelings”, “The importance of skin-to- skin for the child’s development”, “Important for attachment and closeness” and “The importance of competent staff and their support”. Furthermore, these led to six subcategories “Time-consuming”, “Child-focused”, “Strengthening the parent role”, “The impact skin-to-skin have on the parents”, “Trying to enjoy and live in the present” and “The importance of the environment”. Conclusion: Both women and men felt that them had become parents for real when they were allowed to use skin-to-skin contact. The method also had positive effects on the parents. Furthermore, it emerged that information was of great importance and the specialist nurse and team should strive to providing repeated information.

Abstract:

Utredning av vuxna med förmodad neuropsykiatrisk funktions-nedsättning har blivit allmänt förekommande först på 2000-talet. Trots att utredningen är omfattande finns endast lite forskning kring hur utredningen påverkar patienten. Effekter, mestadels symtomlindrande, har påvisats vid andra utredningsformer men mycket skiljer dessa utredningar från de neuropsykiatriska. Huvudsyftet med denna studie är att undersöka symtomförändringar och hälsofrämjande effekter för patienten vid neuropsykiatrisk utredning. Single case-design har använts, deltagarna var sex patienter remitterade för neuropsykiatrisk utredning i två olika landsting, och har mätts gällande variablerna ångest, depression och känsla av sammanhang. Resultaten pekade mot symtomlindring och/eller ökad känsla av sammanhang. Detta talar för att tätare samarbete mellan utredande och behandlande enheter bör eftersträvas, och att man genom en medveten strävan skulle kunna öka behandlingseffekterna.

Assessment of adults with neuropsychiatric impairments have become more common in the beginning of the 21st century. Due to the extensive nature of the neuropsychiatric assessment procedure it is likely that the assessment will have an influence on the patients presenting problem. Despite this the authors have found only a few research studies on the subject. Some previous studies have shown other types assessments to pose an influence on symptoms. The main purpose of the present study is to investigate whether neuropsychiatric assessment poses an influence on symptoms and/or salutogenic factors. The present study uses a single case design with six patients from two separate neuropsychiatric units. The participants have been measured using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression scale and the Sense of Coherence Questionnaire. The results indicate that symptoms are alleviated and/or Sense of Coherence is promoted due to the assessment. The implications of these results suggest that closer co-operation between assessment and treatment centres is warranted and is likely to be beneficial to the patient in the sense of more useful assessments and more efficient treatments.

Abstract:

Denna undersökning faller under två olika teoretiska fält, Sommerseth (2007), som använder sig av fenomenologins teorier för att förklara realism inom dataspel, och Freeman m.fl. (2000) som har en psykologisk utgångspunkt. Tillsammans används dessa teorier för att undersöka hur spelare uppfattar animationer i förhållande till Oculus Rift. Denna undersökning genomfördes genom åtta kvalitativa intervjuer, där deltagarna fick testa två olika versioner av ett spel, med olika animationer. Deltagarna filmades för att kunna observeras i efterhand. Data visar att spelare påverkas av tidigare erfarenheter och av spelkaraktärens fackla. Detta påverkade vilka animationer deltagarna uppfattade som realistiska. Data visade också på att Freemans m.fl. teori inte gick att applicera eftersom deltagarens spelvana tog över den kognitiva responsen. Vidare forskning kan göras på Freemans m.fl. metod för att se hur spelvanan hindrades, och även se hur spelare påverkas av ett annat objekt än en fackla.

Tout le long de l'étude, on compare le manuscrit d'Ibn Hūd avec Les Éléments d'Euclide (IIIe siècle avant J. -C. ), Les Sphériques de Théodose de Tripoli (107-43 avant J. -C. ), Les Sphériques de Ménélaüs (milieu du premier siècle après J. -C. ), La Collection Mathématique de Pappus d'Alexandrie (IVe siècle) et parfois avec le manuscrit de Nasïr al-Dïn al-Tüsï (mort en 1274) intitulé : Tahrīr kitāb al-Ukar li-Tawudusiyūs (Det Kongelige Bibliotek). La partie sphérique de l'Istikmāl est transmise par une seule source connue, le manuscrit " Copenhague, Or. 82 ". Il contient deux chapitres sur la géométrie sphériques. Ces chapitres occupent les folios 76v-90v du manuscrit. On a constaté la perte d'une grande partie du premier chapitre. Quant au deuxième chapitre, il semble qu'il ait deux paragraphes perdus ainsi qu'une partie du troisième paragraphe. Les commentaires marginaux du manuscrit sont contradictoires, ils paraissent tardifs. Le contenu de L'Istikmäl est emprunté massivement chez les prédécesseurs comme Euclide, Théodose de Tripoli, Ménélaüs, Ibn al-Haytham, Ibn 'Iraq, Ibn Qūrra etc. L'emprunt est parfois fait littéralement. As for the second chapter, it seems that two paragraphs are missing as well as a part of third one. The margin commentaries on the manuscript appear to be contradictory; they seem also to be belated. The subject matters of "al-lstikmāl are heavily borrowed from his predecessors such as Euclid, Theodosius of Tripoli, Menelaus, Ibn al-Haytham, Ibn 'Iraq, Ibn Qurra among others. Sometimes, the borrowing seems literally. The al-lstikmāl may be considered, for the time of Ibn Hūd, as an encyclopedie and académie manual in mathematics. It is apparent that such "mathematical Encyclopedie" has been written for pedagogical purposes rather than inventive ones. We are inclined to think that "al-lstikmāl, most likely, has been written by a group of authors under thé direction of a political ruler of that time, who was probably Ibn Hûd

I den här rapporten har vi undersökt hur man genomför en re-design av logotyp och hur man kan förmedla kärnvärden genom grafiskt material. Vi fick i uppdrag ifrån Hollies Reklambyrå att re-designa Hud & Hälsocenters ursprungliga logotyp samt grafiskt material. Det är inte ovanligt att företag inte förstår hur viktigt det är att ens grafiska profil är uppdaterad och förmedlar det man står för. Eftersom det kan kosta en del att byta ut den befintliga grafiska profilen så är många företag tveksamma inför det. Dock kan man tjäna igen de pengarna genom en re-design då man på ett bättre sätt lyckas förmedla sitt budskap och nå nya kunder. Syftet med arbetet är att förstärka Hud och Hälsocenters identitet som fokuserar på välmående både i det yttre och det inre. Målgruppen ska känna sig trygg samtidigt som de ska uppleva ett varmt omfamnande. Vi bröt ned syftet i följande frågeställningar: Hur kan man genomföra en re-design av en logotyp? Hur kan man förmedla Hud och Hälsocenters kärnvärden i ett nytt grafiskt material? De metoder vi använde oss av för att besvara frågeställningarna var att genomföra intervjuer med Hollies Reklambyrå och Hud & Hälsocenter. Sedan genomförde vi en litteraturstudie, konkurrensanalys och designprocess. Resultatet från designprocessen fick vi feedback på från tre referenspersoner. I genomförandet av våra metoder och med en gedigen teoretisk bakgrund kan vi i resultatet förmedla Hud & Hälsocenters kärnvärden i ett nytt grafiskt material. Vi har tagit fram en ny logotyp, visitkort, brevpapper samt design på hemsida. De slutsatser vi har kommit fram till är att det inte finns något specifikt tillvägagångssätt i en re-design av logotyp då det kan skilja sig mellan olika uppdrag och designers. Huvudsaken är att de förändringar som görs inte talar emot det budskap man vill förmedla utan istället förstärker kärnvärdena. Det krävs flera delar i det grafiska materialet för att förmedla kärnvärdena till målgruppen. Endast en komponent kan inte spegla alla på egen hand.
In this report, we have examined how to make a re-design of a logotype and how to express the words of value of the graphic material. We got an assignment from Hollies Reklambyrå to re-design Hud & Hälsocenter’s original logotype and graphic material. It is not unusual that companies do not understand how important it is that one's visual identity is updated and expresses what you stand for. Because it can cost a lot to replace the existing graphic identity many companies hesitate to do so. However, one can earn back the money through a re- design because then you express your message in a better way and can reach new customers. The purpose of this work is to enhance Hud & Hälsocenter’s identity that focuses on well-being in both on the inside and outside. The target group should feel safe and experience a warm embrace. We broke down the purpose of the following questions: How to conduct a re-design of a logo? How to express Hud & Hälsocenter’s words of value in a new graphic material? The methods we used to answer the questions were interviews with the Hollies Reklambyrå and Hud & Hälsocenter. Then we conducted a literature review, analysis of competitors and a design process. During the design process, we received feedback from three referees. The implementation of our methods and with a solid theoretical background, we could express Hud & Hälsocenter’s words of value in the Result, in a new graphic material. We have developed a new logotype, business card, letterhead and design of a website. The conclusions we have reached is that there is no specific procedure in a re- design of the logotype as it can differ between different assignments and designers. The main thing is that the changes made do not contradict the message you want to convey, but instead reinforces the Hud & Hälsocenter’s words of value. It requires several components in the graphical material to convey the words of value to the target group. Only one component may not reflect all on its own.

Abstract:

The work is a chamber opera in five movements. The vocal forces include soprano, mezzo-soprano and baritone solos and a small mixed chorus. The instrumental forces include flute, oboe, alto and tenor saxophone, bassoon, cello and percussion. The opera is a character study of Eve and the Virgin Mary that compares and contrasts their evolving emotions. Recurring motives and texts are used to help the characters portray their emotions . The English texts were chosen from poetry ranging primarily from the 16th to the 20th century.

Abstract:

Heads Up Display (HUD) technologies are being developed to assist drivers and reduce safety hazards. The current study used the Lane Change Task (LCT) and a Peripheral Detection Task (PDT) divided into high and low workload tracks to assess effects of employing a HUD to alert drivers to moving objects in their periphery that are possible hazards. The intent of the current study was to determine whether visual warnings displayed in either color, flashing, or color and flashing formats, would improve detection of moving stimuli without adversely impacting driving ability. Results indicated that the PDT had no significant effect on LCT performance. However, significant main effects of warning format and workload on reaction times, false alarm rates, and sensitivity were obtained. Performance on the PDT task was best when the warnings were non-flashing and yellow, especially in the low workload condition. Explanations of performance on both tasks are discussed.

A pesar de que produjo una gran cantidad de traducciones de la tragedia griega, muy pocas investigaciones se han desarrollado sobre esta parte de su trabajo. Con el fin de identificar las influencias y las relaciones de poder que confluyeron en las traducciones de H.D. y que dieron forma a su actividad como traductora, esta tesis no solo analiza las traducciones que hizo durante los primeros años de su carrera (1913-1920), sino que también estudia el contexto en el cual se produjeron dichas traducciones. La principal motivación que impulsa este estudio es la de indagar sobre el trato que H.D. dio al género en sus traducciones y sobre la medida en que los asuntos de género fueron relevantes en su papel como traductora.
Throughout her career, the American poet H.D. (1886-1961) engaged with classical myth. Despite the numerous translations from Greek tragedy that H.D. produced, very little research has been carried out into this area of the poet’s work. In order to identify the influences and power relations that fed into H.D.’s translations and shaped her activity as translator, this thesis analyses not only the translations that H.D. produced during the early stages of her career (1913-1920), but also the contexts in which these translations were rendered. The driving force behind this study is the desire to interrogate H.D.’s treatment of gender in her translations and the extent to which questions of gender were relevant to her role as translator.
