Full textThis research focus on the relationship the psychoanalysis establishes with the existing psychoanalytical theories in order to deal with the events of clinical practice. Based on the principle that a psychoanalytical theory stems from the personal analysis of both its creator ant its reader, it is not possible to classify such theories neither under the classical fields of science, nor of hermeneutics. This specifity interferes in the transmission of these theories because it passes through transferences and counter-transferences that the psychoanalyst establishes with his patients, his colleagues, and with the theories themselves. This dissertation is composed of two essays. The first broaches the history of the psychoanalytical movement and the changes observed in psychoanalytical institutions bringing them closer to the roots and more daring aspects of psychoanalytical theory. Some concepts are essential to this essay: transference, the resistance it evokes, and the clinical identity of the psychoanalyst, which results from working with the former two. The second essay is about the fabric of psychoanalytical theory itself and how it is built from metaphors that never quite fully encompass the phenomena of the unconscious. The relationship between theory and practice, both non-dissociable in psychoanalysis, is also present in this text in the form of examples of how the psychoanalyst thinks when theorizing of during clinical practice.

Full textProduce a complex historical report, heterodox and heterogeneous from psychoanalysis meanders in Curitiba, by analyzing documents, acquired information from newspapers and performing interviews, are the main goal of this thesis. This is an unprecedented proposal aiming to minimize the significative lack of researches in this area about Curitiba as well as to contribute to the theoretical construction work regarding the way how the psychoanalysis is thought and practiced in Brazil. Therefore, it was opted to divide the work in three chapters. In the first chapter, it is detailed the used methodological, theoretical ethical procedures. The second chapter proposes a reflection about the three main moments of psychoanalysis\' institutionalization process, in which was verified that Freud endow, consciously or unconsciously, the classic psychoanalytical historiography with the ideas from the splendid isolation and resistance to psychoanalysis. In the third chapter, divided in two principal parts, it is related histories of the psychoanalysis in Curitiba. Some of these narratives are permeated by parts of the history of the city. As the background of these histories are two modernization processes of Curitiba. The first part presents some of processes that give origin to institutionalization of psychoanalysis in the city, contemplating since mid 1960s to 1975, year that represents the arriving of the lacanian movement in the city. The present work made possible a more clear mapping of the transit of psychoanalysis by the city of Curitiba and the option of using the psychoanalysis culture and not only the institutionalized psychoanalysis as a parameter for research allowed the knowledge of how in curitibian society, especially in a so-called intellectual circles, the growth of psychoanalytic culture helped to shape, little by little, a cultural ground and a favorable tradition for the institutionalization of psychoanalysis, especially from mid 1970s, the moment when it occurs the expansion of psychoanalysis in the city

Full textThis work aims to investigate the existence and practice of a non-written rule of proscription of male homosexual candidates to the psychoanalytic training offered by societies affiliated to the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA) in the countries it is present. A historical research was performed through procedural codes, articles, journals and testimonies that signalized to an injunction to reject these candidates and which also exposed the reasons behind it. The existence of a historical practice of proscription was discovered, based on a psychoanalytic discourse about male homosexuality that since Freud until the contemporary psychoanalysts became progressively pathologizing. Finally, the model of the institutionalization was investigated, being regarded as determining both the pathologizing discourses about male homosexuality and the exclusion of homosexuals from psychoanalytic training

Firstly, this work aims to trace the course of the french psychoanalyst Françoise Dolto from her childhood, through crucial historic episodes of the 20th Century and finally to mention her significant contributions to the fields of psychoanalytical theory, the early child treatment and in the dissemination os the psychoanalysys in France and throughout the world. In a second moment it intends to situate her most significant theoretical construct – the unconscious body image – in regard to the complex history of the psychoanalytical discipline, as conceived by Renato Mezan in O tronco e os ramos. The main argument is that Françoise Dolto not only played a main role in the evolution of psychoanalysys on the 20th century, but must also be considered before the vast group of authors in contemporary psychoanalysis

Full textAbstract In attempting to contribute from an epistemological point of view to the current debate on psychoanalytic research, we have sought in our thesis to establish a conceptual history of the origins of the psychoanalytic method, a clinical method of investigation and treatment developed in Vienna between 1886 and 1896 by neuropathologist Sigmund Freud. This work is divided into three main parts. In the first, entitled “the antecedents”, we propose to identify within the neurology and psychiatry of French and German languages the empirical conditions of the emergence of the psychoanalytic method. In the second, entitled “the precedents”, the objective is to recognize within this same tradition a certain number of practices related to psychoanalysis, practices considered here as concurrent of Freud's method. Finally, in the third and last part, entitled “the origins”, we have tried to understand how psychoanalysis has actually established itself as a clinical method of investigation and treatment in its particular context of emergence. At the end of this itinerary, we were able to recognize the existence of three elements which are at the base of the Freudian method and which are in the continuity of its antecedents and precedents: 1) a non-dualistic notion of psyche anchored in the postulate of psycho-physical parallelism; 2) a nosological model based on a non-congenital constitutional hypothesis; and 3) a dynamic conception of the psychophysiological relationships between representations and affects. Finally, we conclude that although Freud's psychoanalysis possesses a specificity regarding other psychological and contemporary practices, it cannot be considered as a historical event disconnected from its scientific context, nor as something absolutely exceptional concerning other knowledge about the human being

Full textThis research was developed in the field of the History of Science, by the hypothesis that psychoanalysis cannot be fully included in science, because there would be something in the transmission of this area of knowledge that would have remained attached to certain tradition, more particularly in the way it would be in magic. The original research motto came from an invitation prepared by Jacques Lacan (1901-1981) who summoned psychoanalysts to take an interest in magic theme. The study started from the influence of linguistics on the notion of science in Lacan, sought to articulate this approach the importance of magic to psychoanalysis, from the Freudian considerations and vision of structural anthropology. The result of the clearance of the differences between the concept of science and the importance of magic directed research into the function of the cause. It can be said then that the detailed search of the cause in psychoanalysis function, with variations, since the cause of madness until the cause of desire, helped to clarify, at least in one aspect, the importance of magic to psychoanalysis, which is to allows the psychoanalyst to be better located both in their position in the clinic and in teaching and transmitting the psychoanalysis

Ernest Jones (1879-1958), Welsh psychoanalyst and Freud‘s disciple, has produced a significant number of papers and books on Psychoanalysis throughout his life, and yet, at least in Brazil, his life and work are quite unknown. The aim of the thesis is to investigate the issue of invisibility - and the related theme importance / importance - of this author, based on the psychoanalytic reading of his biography and the selection of specific texts of his extensive work. A study on Jones is fully justified, therefore, in view of the novelty of his work and legacy and the importance of this character in the History of Psychoanalysis. The discussion of the research is given by the analysis of texts and documents that keep between themselves but an organized theoretical continuity, at least a coherent line, a repetition or similitude of contents or key ideas that help us to understand it. With the help and inspiration of authors such as Brenda Maddox, Veszy-Wagner, and Adam Phillips - who have studied the life and / or work of the Welsh psychoanalyst - we will examine some of the themes to which Jones has devoted himself in his many (and extremely eclectic) studies: the question of religion, of genius, of the Oedipal battle between father and son. The discussion of the author‘s selected texts and its interface with biographical data - besides historical contextualization - reveal a character that maintains coherence between his personal history (biography), his production on psychoanalysis and his role as ambassador of the international psychoanalytic movement. Studying this correlation was the course of the thesis, which had the financial support of CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development - Brazil)

Full textPioneer of the psychoanalysis in France, René Laforgue seems to be, today, forgotten.Neverless, several elements of his works influenced durably certain aspects of psychoanalysis.Runner of the report that no monograph was again dedicated to René Laforgue and to its work, this present thesis settles for objective to fill this gap. This research has for ambition to call back what was René Lafarge's role in the development and the institutionalization of the psychoanalysis in France and to replace his work in the field of the psychoanalytical theory, by underlining the heursistical fertility and by trying to measure the contributions and the limits, as well as the innovative aspects, in particular as regards the extension of the psychoanalytical approach in the political domain. The work of Lafarge is also put in perspective with regard to that of Freud of which it proceeds originally, before differing from it

Full textTo exist in this world is not always permitted. Political oppression and its paradigms: colonialism and fascism are willing to break people or to make them disappear. Consequentially, many people owe their existences to resistances. In the aftermath of the Second World War and over the ashes of Nazism this research has been in pursuit of fringe existences: what remains through transmission after historical traumas. This research drives us to explore different themes: Zionism, Shoah, peace processes. It leads us toward various research fields: In the north of Ireland, Israel, Palestine, and the Autonomous Jewish Region of Russia. Realties that we met are marked with historical traumas. Those traumas etched the existence of subjects. Existence becomes possible through the transmission of historical narratives. Identities are constituted by narratives that each subject and their community are creating. The narrative is a re-existence: a resistance. Revolted individuals are crossed between their subjective historicity, their surrounding history, the culture they carry within and the culture that they are carried by. Subjects who joined resistance want to take place in History to transmit, to resist and to become someone. It has been shown that in their quest for ideal they have to refer to a recomposed past. This past is an imagined territory inhabited by idealized heroes and a specific mystic. This imagined filiation has a therapeutic value; it seems to cure traumatic injuries and historical traumas. Political news highlights what we are developing in this thesis, as for instance the spectacular acts of individuals in lack of existence. These news raise again our research themes: What can we say about the fascist and anti-Semitic return? What sense could we give to silenced histories, to colonial unspoken or bad spoken?

Os resultados obtidos a partir do levantamento dos artigos sobre Psicanálise de Crianças publicados no periódico apontam as seguintes informações: 107 artigos publicados sobre o tema, destes 89 de autoria de psicanalistas nacionais, a maioria na década de 1990; Maria P. Child Psychoanalysis was first introduced in Europe at the beginning of the 20th century, singled out by great controversies between Melanie Klein and Anna Freud. In Brazil, that sort of psychoanalytic practice was introduced from 1930 on as well-structured institutional practices, achieving a significant theoretical production. But it was under the auspices of the Psychoanalytic Societies that such a branch of the psychoanalytic science had a greater diffusion for its application, propagation, education background of child analysts and theoretical production which, although it is not significant, it has proven to be highly expressive. An important means of diffusion of the Brazilian psychoanalytic thought, which allows us to follow the evolution of works written on Child Psychoanalysis in Brazil, comprising the last decades, is Revista Brasileira de Psicanálise. That journal was carried out to comprise the plurality of different scientific branches found within the Societies of Psychoanalysis, thus ensuring their expression in the scientific field. The research at issue is a qualitative-based study of historical nature which tries to bound a segment of the Brazilian psychoanalysis, whose aim is to characterize the works written on Child Psychoanalysis in Brazil from 1967 to 2007, by means of papers written by Brazilian writers published in Revista Brasileira de Psicanálise. The outcomes achieved starting from the survey of papers on Child Psychoanalysis published in the journal focused on the following information: 89 out of 107 papers published on the subject, were written by Brazilian psychoanalysts, most of them in the 1990s; Maria P. Manhães and Marisa Pelella Mélega, Brazilian writers with the largest number of papers... (Complete abstract click electronic access below)

Full textRight after its publication in 1943, Sartre\'s Being and nothingness has received critical commentaries that pointed out its idealistic character. These lectures emphasized the incompatibility between Sartre\'s assertion of man\'s absolute freedom and the historical conditions which would determine it. When Sartre publishes, in 1960, his Critique of dialectic reason (\"encounter\" with Marxism), everything is seen as the confirmation of the idealism of Being and nothingness, overcoming the division of his thought in before and after the Critique. However, when Sartre defends the absolute of freedom he also affirms that there is no freedom without situation. We will try to emphasize this difficult relation between freedom and situation through the presentation of Sartre\'s concept of freedom, as well as through the examination of his psychoanalytic proposal.

Full textThis research underlines some elements from the history of masculinity in the West that would contribute to a particular reading of the Jacques Lacans sexuation formulas. Using the notion of man as a method, seminars undertaken between 1967 and 1973 were analyzed, in a period that includes both a valuation of the dimension of history by the French psychoanalyst as the actual development of the formulas. It is found to be a possible limit in Lacans appropriation of the Freudian myth of Totem and Taboo, bound to the formal specificity required by the internal logic of the formulas. The studys attempt is to demonstrate how a historical construction of masculinity and virility representations respond accurately to the demands required to support the formal logic of sexuation, as presented at the formulas.

Full textThe critique on psychoanalysis enforced by Gilles Deleuze & Félix Guattari is well known. Its intimate relationship with psychoanalysis, to the point where it is responsible for the creation of many core concepts in the schizoanalytical ouvre, though, isnt as well known. The critique formulated by the authors in The Anti-Oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia related to the idealism concerning psychoanalysis, is condensed around i) the representation at stake in the psychoanalytical thought, ii) the understanding of the unconscious as a theatre, and iii) the familiarist mediation to which psychoanalysis would submit desire, In this text, the path following such questions is analysed and recovered, and the critique is examined trying to define its pertinence and the repercussion of such critique in the lacanian psychoanalytical ouvre. Some previous Works of Deleuze and Guattari are analysed, just as some of their philosophical foundations, in a way to compose a map of their thought. Jacques Lacans theoretical path i salso analysed, and, according to our demonstration, he was involved in similar questions to the ones that were being investigated by the schizoanalysts in many moments of their work. Some hypothesis are presented regarding the incorporation of part of the deleuzoguattarian ideas, and some considerations are made regarding the state of the materialism at stake in psychoanalysis. Finally, some ponderations by contemporary thinkers regarding this debate are presented, placing such comments in relation to the framework of this text. Its conclucded that, even though the relationship between both currents of thought is deeply marked by many rupture points, a plane of dialogue is not only possible, but constitutive of both fields

Full textC.G. Jung and his followers have emphazised the importance of the maternal imago forindivuals, groups and societies. This topic was barely developped by Freud, which is not thecase for Freudian analysts of the following generations ; one might cite for example MelanieKlein or D.W. Winnicott. Didier Anzieu and René Kaës, both French psychoanalysts, havemade an attempt to articulate the individual and the collective in their studies about groups andhave confirmed the equivalence of the group and the maternal imago. In this doctoral thesis, Ihave attempted to examine and assess the importance of this maternal representation in Frenchpolitical life during this formative period for French politics which lasts from the Revolution toWWI. I have chosen to study this issue through maternal metaphors and allegories in publicdiscourses, which include political speeches and other discourses, like award speeches at school, for example. I do not give psychoanalytical interpretation, unless it seems obvious. Thereference framework of this thesis is historical research, but psychoanalysis is itscomplementary or shadow framework. The results of the research show that maternalmetaphors and allegories were widely used in most public speeches of that time, in manydifferent forms. Nature (during the Revolution), heavenly Jerusalem or Virgin Mary in theconservative camp, and other maternal representations which were created by the early socialists– among which the “Community” (Etienne Cabet) – as well as Michelet’s maternal andmessianic France. The Republicans’ father - or rather motherland, the religion of Humanity asseen by Auguste Comte and the positivists, the religion of the Earth and the Dead (MauriceBarrès) are some examples... Maternal metaphors and allegories constitute a promise ofhappiness, an ideal and/or a submission request. These mother figures have children, mainlysons. This doctoral thesis confirms the importance of the privileged relationship between motherand son on the political level. Very often the “first” of these sons establishes himself as thespokesman or the interpreter of this metaphor or allegory. Robespierre, Napoléon, the first emperor of France, or Gambetta are some examples. In the ideological or fictional contextwhich these metaphors and allegories induce, there is hardly any room for the individual or forthe woman as such, the relationship between Mother and Son is the main identification modelwhich is proposed

The treatment, placed in the socio-cultural context of the time, was administered by Sigurd Næsgaard (1883-1956) in the early 1930’s. The « negative transference» surrounding psychoanalysis in Denmark was in large part due to August Wimmer (1872-1937) who was a professor of psychiatry and a renowned physician in medical and legal institutions. We also examined various influences by the Danish analyst P.C. Petersen (1889-1976), Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957), and Oskar Pfister (1873-1956).In the 1950’s, Dr Thorkil Vanggaard (1910-1998) gave Danish psychoanalysis its « ego-psychology » orientation and finally earned the recognition of the Danish Psychoanalytical Society through the International Psykoanalytical Association. In the 1970’s there was renewed interest in psycholoanalysis in academia. Lacanian circles were formed, creating a reconnection to Kierkegaard’s work. The influence of psychoanalysis grew steadily until the end of the 20th century when many therapists were trained. Although no academic chair was ever established, countless academic bodies refer to psychoanalysis. In addition to « historical » psychoanalytical societies, new ones are emerging. How is Danish psychoanalysis doing in 2017? That is the question the third part of this thesis attempts to answer

The thesis presented here defends the existence of a Visual Art course in the subsoil of the School of Arts and Architecture and explores the idea of a repression of this content, which returns to the surface in the form of symptoms. The structure in notebooks seeks to solve the singularities of from each approach of this phenomenon. This research stitches memories that oat within a the School of Art and Architecture of Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás. It gives special attention to the fragments relative to the practice of drawing in itself and the factors that surround it. Freud, Rüssen, Didi Huberman and Ricouer bless and get along in these chapters that describe the Arts and Architecture School of UCG (Escola de Artes e Arquitetura da UCG): Freud, opening the rst notebook, inspires every remark in the text that show how psique, inevitable path to the historic content, changes it. Lacan grounds the drawing of a map named the Interpretation of the Freudian psychic system, while Rüssen orients the conceptualization of the sources. In the second notebook, Didi Huberman brings to the text the idea of collage as an instrument of an assembly that carries meaning within itself. This concept was used both to organize the complexity that lies around the beings drawing, architecture, teaching methodology, arts and artists, and also strongly inspired the assembly of this very thesis, organized in notebooks, built by blocks of text that keep between them the gaps of collage. Still on notebook 2, the text makes an exercise with Paul Ricoeur, countering the relativization of any past with the statement that it only exists through the mediation of the present, with a positivist stream of historiographical praxis, both in classes previous to graduation, as in graduation courses, such as Architecture and Urbanism. In the third notebook, this problematization, applied to the very school’s contingencies, is better felt, through the exposing of documents: images with syllabi, programs, drawings and illustrations. In notebook IV, the bid is of a discourse in images, which not only illustrate the propositions in other notebooks, but also propose a visual narrative of free collage. To achieve this e ect we made two versions, one online and one printed. In the rst, the diagramming takes care that the images and phrases have white space of reverberation around each other. In the printed version, we use detached blades so that the reader can examine them separately. Furthermore, the images speak for itself. Literally.
Ademais, as imagens falam por si. Literalmente.

Os resultados obtidos a partir do levantamento dos artigos sobre Psicanálise de Crianças publicados no periódico apontam as seguintes informações: 107 artigos publicados sobre o tema, destes 89 de autoria de psicanalistas nacionais, a maioria na década de 1990; Maria P. Abstract: Child Psychoanalysis was first introduced in Europe at the beginning of the 20th century, singled out by great controversies between Melanie Klein and Anna Freud.

Full textA large percentage of art has always been devoted to the images of the feminine. In Greco-Roman as well as in Judeo-Christian iconography, these multiple representations are synonymous with confusion and ambivalence. The common link between woman and her image is the ability to arouse distrust and fascination. By means of an in-depth study of some key figures from the history of art, we hereby put forward a post-feminist review of the diverse facets of the feminine, viewed under the sacred/secular dyad. Myths and faiths gave rise to a pagan-Christian hybrid, bringing forth a constant “Eternal Feminine” that is still firmly rooted in contemporary art. It is sometimes the faith of the image, sometimes its condemnation, that encapsulates the unresolvable fight between the human and the divine. Woman will remain forever the obscure element that is associated with appearance and beauty. In the course of our research, we ascertained that woman and painting are in perfect harmony; they are inseparable because iconoclasm and misogyny often go hand in hand. Step by step, the body will replaces the canvas and the make-up, the painting of transgender artists. In queer parodies between exhibition and shamanism, they reinvent their transformation into the feminine. The surface of the work becomes a mirror that reflects this Other, the alter ego, so longed for. Feminist thinking is set in motion through the revolutions of genders. Artists of the 20th and 21st centuries offer us a vision of an ideal without an original, a new Pygmalion or Narcissus, somewhere between masquerade and melancholy. Finally, we return to the art of the women. Divided between violence, humour and charis, their methods are often borderline, in their quest for the sacred that is beyond religion. They offer to evolve into “pandorien” art to shatter for ever the henceforth overly famous idea: «be beautiful and remain silent! »

Full textAlmost no one dares to disagree that the professional life of the teacher of basic education in Brazil is a discredited task, poorly remunerated and that there are no minimum physical conditions necessary and, on the other hand, that no big personal investment is required, because the teacher act depends primarily of a kind of \"gift\". However, the school and the figure of the teacher are nothing more than mere human creations, just as the images of the conditions of malaise in which the teacher works are also the same; though we have become accustomed to forget that they are so. The images inhabit the heart of a discourse consolidated as truth about the master\'s profession, but which, nevertheless, works in spite of the stipulation of discursive positions or definitions of concepts. That is, it is not exempt from one program of qualification and disqualification from the other. In other words, while some teachers get sick teaching, others heal; while some stray from the precariousness of school conditions, others are enunciated by and in their transposition. This reallocates the research on teacher renunciation beyond the hegemonic discourse of all sorts of precarious of the school or even of the material existence of a malady properly teaching, that only exists during the teacher and that, therefore, it is possible of cure. In this way, to question the causes of the different forms of renunciation of the basic education teachers, in the beginning, implies the disruption of the attendance to the demand of a Cartesian logic, that to be directed by the pointing of a conclusive instance of the resignation, deviates from a investigation. In this sense, I invite you to read the present work, which proposes new ways of listening to a certain interpretation of Psychoanalysis about some of the consolidated historical records of Brazilian basic education throughout its history. It is the search for marginal, but revealing, subsidies to learn more about what conditions contribute and have contributed to the fact that the majority of those who are still seeking teacher training for elementary education do not have a place to practice their profession.
Rodrigues, Delweks.
Full textViolence dwells in human societies ever since the first groupings one knows of. It is argued, in this sense, that violence has been reproduced through the civilizing process. This is the premise we depart from in order to identify an element that might participate in the process of reproduction of violence. We chose 5th Grade History books as the object of research. The essence of a historic fact cannot be changed, but the ways one approaches and presents it are quite variable. We focus our attention, therefore, on ways of approaching historic themes and facts. The theoretical background is that of Psychoanalysis. Freud considers that the subject is evil by nature, a fact that constitutes one of the major barriers to social life. Such ideas are based on the theory of drives, which, according to Freud, explains the social and individual life. This is the model that informs the comparison we made between the concepts of culture and individual theorized by Freud and the models of culture and individual in the didactic books. We noticed that the History didactic books use the resources of projection (in the Psychoanalytical sense) and euphemism to soften violence in History. They are ultimately an element that both socializes and trivializes violence.

Abstract: The establishment of research into Science Education began in Brazil in the end of the decade of the 1960's and only recently, in the year 2000, was it recognized as a field by Capes. During this time, many works tried to analyse its history, describing the determinant factors of its constitution and upholding. In our research we look back on some of these works, focusing on subjective aspects that contributed to its development. We chose as reference the works of Nardi (2005) and Villani, Pacca & Freitas (2002), and some other psychoanalytic concepts developed by René Kaes referring to psychic life of group and institutions. These elements allowed us to interpret the events that highlighted the history in the field of Science Education, taking into consideration that any groups is made up of, organizes itself and develops itself according to the configuration that overlays the representation system of its members, of the task proposed, the group itself and the social context. After we were able to identify the four organizational moments in the development of the intersubjective links existing in an institution which are - the arising moment, the first, the second and the third group organizer, we searched for the intermediates that highlighted the interchanges, the places, the attributions, the representational activities and the affection. One can recognize in the History and Philosophy of Science (HPS) the fundamental intermediary in each developing phase of the field and search for elements to better understand the roles played by the HPS in research, especially its contributions to the foundation and establishment in the field. To obtain more potential and subjective information, many researchers in this field were interviewed whose scientific works showed some proximity with the HPS. Our interpretation took a head start when we integrated a new concept to support... (Complete abstract click electronic access below)
