Abstract:
Purpose. To describe a 4-year intervention targeting fruit/vegetable consumption by high school students. Design. This is a cohort study involving six pairs of schools (n = 12) matched on gender, race, enrollment, and location with schools randomly assigned within pairs to intervention or control conditions. Setting. Twelve Archdiocese of New Orleans high schools. Subjects. Cohort was defined as students (n = 2339) who were ninth-graders in the 1993–94 school year who provided baseline data. Intervention. Four components of the intervention are: (1) school-wide media-marketing campaign, (2) school-wide meal and snack modification, (3) classroom workshops and supplementary subject matter activities, and (4) parental involvement. Measures. Focus groups were conducted for target population input and program development. Process evaluation included student feedback on media-marketing intervention materials and activities reported here. Process measures also included school meal participation, student characteristics, and verification of intervention activities. Results. Focus groups indentified barriers to increased consumption of fruit and vegetables as lack of availability, variety, and inconsistency in taste. Student attitudes were favorable regarding a school program to improve diet and parental involvement. Low consumption of fruits/vegetables was reported. After a 2-month school-wide program introduction utilizing various media-marketing materials and activities, 93% of students were aware of the program and 96% could identify the healthy eating message. Conclusions. Program development can be guided and enriched by student input via focus groups. Media-marketing activities effectively delivered health messages and attracted students' attention. Materials and activities used were acceptable channels for increasing awareness, positive attitudes, and knowledge about fruits/vegetables.

Abstract:
This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve mathematics learning in class VIII Junior High School 1 at Bontonompo through the ARIAS learning model. The problem in this research are less then 75% of students have mathematics learning under KKM and students less learning activites. The research was carried out during two cycles. The obtained data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the results of the research in Cycle I, only 26% of students fulfilled the KKM value were continued to Cycle II and the results met individual and classical completeness is 78% of students fulfilled KKM scores and student activities increased. Abstract:
This study aims to find out about the education marketing strategy carried out by the Al-Amlaul Khair Islamic Junior High School, as well as the factors that influence the education marketing strategy at the Al-Amlaul Khair Islamic Junior High School. This research method is in the form of qualitative descriptive, data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The key informant in this study was the principal, and the supporting informants were educators, education staff, students, and the community around the Al-Amlaul Khair Islamic Junior High School. The results of this study indicate that the Al-Amlaul Khair Islamic Junior High School has implemented a fairly good educational marketing strategy, several programs and services are offered and can attract public interest and taste, the promotional activities carried out by the school are quite good and a special team has been formed to promote education. Promotional activities carried out by schools include placing banners, distributing brochures, placing advertisements, and outreach to other schools. There is something unique about the promotion at Al-Amlaul Khair Islamic Junior High School, namely "picking up the ball", in which the school gives a brochure to each student and students distribute it to their respective addresses, if the student succeeds in bringing in a new student, the student will be given a prize. from school.

Abstract:
Objectives The purpose of this study is to comprehensively verify the factors influencing students' career maturity by exploring student characteristics and their sub-areas (planning for career, self-understanding of career) and career education and career guidance activities operated by schools. Methods Multi-level modeling(two-level) was applied to the 8th wave(2019, 11th grade) of data taken from Gyeonggi Education Panel Study(GEPS). Results First, It was found that career maturity differs between schools. Second, the student-level variables influencing career maturity included self-esteem, self-efficacy, social self-concept, school satisfaction, parent relations, peer relations, teacher relations, reading activities, and academic stress. Third, most of the policy projects and programs operated for career guidance at the school level did not significantly affect career maturity, but career counseling with career teacher was found to have a negative effect on career maturity and career planning. Fourth, this study confirmed the statically significant interaction effect between teacher relations and career concentration curriculum. Conclusions Based on the findings of the current study, directions and implications for improving career maturity of high school students and activating effective career education were discussed.

Abstract:
Boarding school is a form of educational institution that has its own advantages, one of which is in terms of religious coaching. This is because boarding school students have more opportunities to take part in religious activities organized by the school. There are high schools in Banda Aceh that run boarding school program or boarding program and implement religious programs inside. This research aims to reveal the implementation of religious programs in boarding schools and the obstacles faced in implementing religious programs in boarding schools at the high school level. Data collection was carried out through interviews and documentation. The results show that religious programs have been implemented in boarding schools at the high school level with a variety of activities and benefits for students. Barriers were also found in implementing religious programs related to student motivation, religious program mentors, student conditions, facilities and infrastructure as well as religious program learning.

Academic information system is an application designed for the needs of managing school academic data so that schools can manage academic data better and more efficiently. Website creation in this study uses the programming language PHP Native and JavaScript, for the design used is CSS and the CSS Framework, namely Bootstrap, and the Database Engine used is the MySQL Database. The application that will be made will be able to perform CRUD operations for student data, student grades, teachers, subjects, posts, student and user accounts, besides that the front page will display information about school profiles and activities. Complete CRUD operations can only be performed by the admin, while students can only see their own data (including grades). Forms that will be created include Admin Login Form, Student Login Form, User Registration Form (Admin), Student Account Registration Form, Add Student Data Form, Value Input Form, Create Post Form, Student Data Edit Form, Value Edit Form, Post Edit Form and User Edit Forms. In the development which will later produce a web-based academic information system application, it is hoped that it can further assist Al-Mukhlisin Bogor Islamic High School in terms of managing academic data so that it can be even better and more effective. Students can access and view grades, personal data or information about school activities on the web-based academic application.

Abstract:
This study aims to examine and describe the school's efforts to function the role of students parents in the education process at school. Descriptive research methods are used to achieve the research objectives. The study sample was parents and teachers who were purposively determined on the basis of considering the status of school accreditation. The schools selected as samples were Santun Untan Senior High School (accredited B) and Gembala Baik Senior High School (accreditation A). The research data was collected by interview instruments, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive statistical studies to describe the optimal functioning of parents by schools. From the research data obtained the fact that the perceptions of parents of students and teachers in Santun Untan Senior High School and Gembala Baik Senior High School toward the relationship between parents and teachers are "good." In playing the functions of parents in school, both parents and teachers state "no difficulties." Aspects that are considered "important" to "very important" in fostering parent and teacher relationships include not giving up children's affairs to schools, assuming parents as school partners, parents controlling children's education, parents always following the development of the school , and care about children's education. With this perception, it is possible to "ideal conditions" in building optimal cooperation in student education in the two sample schools.

Culture is one of the tasks carried out by education to pass on noble cultural values to students in order to form a good personality through education. For this reason, one of the school cultures that has been developed is discipline towards students. The purpose of this study was to describe student planning, student implementation and supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of student discipline culture at SMP N 1 Masbagik. The type of research used by the author in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach, data is collected using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Sources of data are school principals, student vice presidents, teachers, and students. data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation, and verification of conclusions. Data validity was carried out by source triangulation and technique triangulation. Because in this study the data obtained will be collected and the truth will be known. The results showed that: 1) student management planning in building a student discipline culture includes: analysis of student needs, student recruitment, student selection, student orientation, student placement, student recording and reporting. 2) student development in an effort to build a disciplined culture of students, the implementation of student guidance consists of (a) fostering school rules by giving a statement regarding the readiness of students to comply with school rules. (b) coaching through activities such as; orientation activities namely by socializing the rules and regulations at school, holding morning calls and returning home from school to provide directions and advice to students. (c) coaching through scout extracurricular activities to train students in terms of discipline. Both time discipline, discipline in dress and discipline in behavior. 3) supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of student discipline culture, namely supporting factors: commitment of the committee and principal, all school members, and school environment. The inhibiting factor is the student's own awareness, the student's parents.

Low-income students, many of whom reside in urban environments, often lack the support they need to prepare for postsecondary education, identify the best fit schools, apply for financial aid, enroll and persist in their studies, and, ultimately, graduate with a degree. Since 2014, a university school counseling department and a New York City high school collaborated to provide targeted and focused college readiness, awareness, and engagement activities to each and every student in the senior class through the direct involvement of school counseling preservice graduate students. The project’s primary goals focused on student outcomes related to an improved graduation rate and postsecondary participation rate, with varying degrees of success. Participants in the high school–university partnership realized the value and importance of engaging students much earlier in career and college planning process.

Ensuring the sustainability of school-based public health intervention activities remains a challenge. The Young and Active (Y&A) intervention used peer-led workshops to promote movement and strengthen students’ sense of community in 16 Danish high schools. Peer mentors inspired first-year students to implement movement activities. To support sustainability, we applied a three-year stepwise implementation strategy using university students as peer mentors in year 1 and senior high school students in the following two years. This study explores the sustainability potential of Y&A, focusing on school coordinators’ reflections on the intervention’s fit to their schools and the student-driven approach, and we assess the three-step implementation strategy. The study is based on telephone interviews with coordinators (n = 7) from schools that participated in all three years and participant observations of four workshops (a total of approximately 250 participating students). Results were generated through an abductive analysis. Seven schools continued the intervention throughout the three years and adapted it to fit their priorities. The student-driven approach was perceived to be valuable, but few student-driven activities were initiated. Teacher support seemed crucial to support students in starting up activities and acting as peer mentors in workshops. The three-step implementation strategy proved valuable due to the peer-approach and the possibility of gradual adaptation. In future similar initiatives, it is important to address how the adequate staff support of students can be facilitated.

In the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary General Education, the «Portrait of a school graduate» presents such a personal characteristic of a student as «motivated for creativity and innovative activity». In the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary General Education in Computer Science, «the ability to organize personal information space using various means of digital technologies» is named as mandatory personality qualities of students. At the same time, the target orientation of the formation of a personal information space is not specified. There are didactic grounds to consider it expedient to orient students to the formation of a specific personal information space focused on a specific type of activity, in particular, innovation. Nowadays, during the difficult historical development of Russia in the conditions of increasing sanctions pressure of unfriendly states and the need for Russian citizens to master «new competencies» for effective participation in import substitution processes in all types of production activities, in order to ensure technological sovereignty, it is necessary to put the mastery of citizens, including schoolchildren, flexible skills of innovation orientation in the process of innovative universal education. It is advisable to ensure that high school students develop psychological and functional readiness to participate in import substitution processes in their future professional activities as a manifestation of active patriotism using the skills of innovation acquired in general education and, in particular, in a specialized school. It would be right for teachers to focus on the formation of the personality of a high school student-innovator using the technologies of informatization of education.

The time available for teachers and students to meet face to face in the classroom is very limited, in addition, the process of delivering the material is almost completely carried out in the classroom which causes the delivery of the material to be late, when a student does not enter school, the student will later find it difficult to follow the learning process. therefore, a Mobile Web-Based Learning Application was created at Gotong Royong Junior High School, using the Prototype model system development method, the results of this research are a mobile webbased learning application, it can be concluded that the learning application has been designed and implemented with facilities including downloading materials, assignments or online quiz and student scores.

Abstract: The Adiwiyata Program is a government effort to address the crucial issue of environmental preservation, which directly impacts the quality of human life. This research explores student participation in participatory-based environmental activities within the Adiwiyata program. The study was conducted among senior high school students using a case study method with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews and documentation due to the pandemic's limitations on extracurricular activities and online learning. The implementation of the program in senior high schools was carried out through four activity programs: building maintenance, land and facility utilization based on environmental protection and management principles, development of environmentally-focused extracurricular activities, and environmental action activities to commemorate environmental days. The Adiwiyata program has had a positive impact on schools and student behavior, resulting in a clean, beautiful, healthy, and comfortable school environment, increased awareness of environmental cleanliness, and good participation of students in environmental management activities.

This study investigated the online interaction between students and teachers as well as student interaction preferences, student perceptions of learning and of online classes, and student performance. High school students, in an online world history course, participated in multiple activities that offered opportunities to interact with their teacher and classmates. Data was collected throughout the action research using student surveys, participant interviews, teacher records of daily interaction, pretests and posttests, and assignment grades. Students indicated that interaction with the teacher was very important, while interaction with their peers was less vital to learning. Interaction appeared to have little effect on student performance. Although this study took place over a three-week period rather than over an entire semester (e.g., Pelowski, Frissell, Cabral, & Yu, 2005; Picciano, 2002), results indicate that high school students may view online interaction differently than their counterparts in higher education (Northrup, 2002; Swan, 2002).

Background/Context Student governments are the first direct experience that youth have of representative government. However, very little research has been done on student councils in spite of their ubiquity in American high schools and consistent references to their positive effects on the political socialization of youth. Purpose/Objective/Research Question/Focus of Study This article studies how student councils are variably organized across the nation to determine how and why better or worse quality experiences of representative government are being had by youth just before they enter adulthood and have the opportunity to be engaged in the nation's political system. Research Design The authors conducted interviews with student council sponsors, collected a nationally representative sample of student council constitutions, and then looked at the variance in student powers and faculty controls over council endeavors. Conclusions/Recommendations The study finds that student councils are variably organized by school charters and by income levels and race of student populations. Elite public schools afford councils unprecedented powers and low faculty oversight, whereas impoverished schools and those with disadvantaged minorities tend to lack councils or merely have ones that perform social functions. By contrast, private religious schools have the most active councils engaged in a wide range of activities, but their decisions and memberships are constrained by a great deal of faculty oversight. Such variation in representative government has implications for political socialization and the types of citizens being developed in the United States.

Lively and effective classroom instruction is an important feature of quality schools. Recently, the lead author's schoolhas launched a reform of classroom teaching methods to implement a dialogic model. The dialogic model, taking cuesfrom constructivist learning theories and Manabu Sato, expects educators to promote multiple kinds of classroomdialogue, including teacher-student dialogue, student-text dialogue, student-student dialogue, and self-reflectivedialogue. The reform efforts of the school are all-encompassing and include changes to teacher training, classroomobservation and teaching evaluation, lesson planning, classroom activities, homework, and testing. This reform ismeant to improve teaching quality, enhance the classroom environment, and bring about better critical thinkingoutcomes in the students. The following text chronicles the details of this reform in a large senior high school in aChinese metropolis, and the first attempts by teachers at the school to implement new dialogic teaching techniques.The preliminary analysis finds evidence of positive effects on student engagement, confidence, and motivation usingdialogic teaching techniques.

In this qualitative case study (n = 32), researchers sought to understand the ways a multi-day summer transition camp may help incoming ninth-grade students experience a developmentally responsive transition into high school. The findings revealed camp helped support students’ procedural, social, and academic-related needs and concerns. Learning the school layout and policies helped support students’ procedural-related needs and concerns. Promoting student–student, educator–student, and school–student relationships helped support students’ social-related needs and concerns. Attending academic classes and communicating expectations for academic success helped support students’ academic-related needs and concerns. A summer camp may foster a responsive transition and mitigate school failure, but must be developed and delivered based on students’ developmental and transition-related needs and concerns. Furthermore, students must perceive camp activities as actually supporting their needs and concerns.

Abstract:
Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia have played an essential role as institutions to spread Islam and make changes in society for the better. It can be viewed from the education system to advance the quality of education in Islamic educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to analyze the education system in the Galih Agung Private Junior High School Darularafah Raya Islamic Boarding School. This study uses qualitative research with a naturalistic qualitative approach. This study's data collection was done using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Informants in this study were Ustadz and Ustadzah, who served at the Darularafah Raya Islamic Boarding School and several students and dyah. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study results indicate that: 1) The education system at Galih Agung Private Junior High School consists of educational objectives, conditions of educators and students, curriculum, and facilities/ infrastructure. The supporting factors are as follows: Competent educators, wise caregivers, adequate facilities and infrastructure, a comfortable boarding school environment, and improving the quality of extracurricular activities, while the inhibiting factors are: Lack of awareness of students as a student, not accustomed to discipline and independence, and students feel lazy.

The purpose of this study was to determine the significant influence of teacher motivation on learning achievement at Islamic Senior High Schools statistically. This research used the associative quantitative method to determine the effect or relationship between two or more variables. This research place is at the Islamic Senior High School of Nurussyahid, Kertajati, Majalengka, Indonesia. The number of samples is a total sampling of 18 teachers. The result shows that implementing teacher work motivation in Islamic Senior High School Nurussyahid can be categorized as good. The achievement of Islamic Senior High School of Nurussyahid students can be categorized as good. Implementing teacher work motivation has a positive and significant effect on student achievement. The success or failure of a student's achievement in Islamic Senior High School of them is determined by the provision of motivation by teachers.

Academic dishonesty, which is a part of educational problems, occurs mostly in religious-based high schools. The dishonest behavior of these students is contrary to the application of character education in educational institutions. This research aimed to describe the experiences of teachers and students in the Programmed Islamic High School (PIHS) relating to academic culture in the development of student character education. The data collection method used in this research was a phenomenological qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews with four teachers and six students in a PIHS. Apart from the results of the interviews, the acquisition of data was also supported by documentation and observations of the daily activities of the students, which reflected the application of character education. The results showed that the academic culture at PIHS contributes greatly to developing student character education. Character education developed from academic culture can be seen from their academic discourse, publications, knowledge acquisition, disciplinary, and academic activities management. From the academic culture, students have a religious, honest, nationalistic, responsible, cooperative, and independent character. This research suggests that the pattern of academic culture in the development of character education in PIHS can be adopted by other religion-based schools. There were five respondents, namely the Head of Student Affairs, counseling teacher, subject teacher (PPKn), one of the students, and the Drug Unit of Salatiga Police. This research uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results showed that there are several efforts or activities that have been carried out by schools to prevent drug abuse by students, namely; 1) intracurricular activities carried out by subject teachers (PPKn, BK). 2) co-curricular activities, where this activity aims to deepen the material in intracurricular activities, such as the cooperation of counseling teachers with doctors who are more expert in the field of health. 3) extracurricular activities, which are activities outside of class hours, one of which is PMR. 4) school collaboration activities with other parties, namely BNN, Police / TNI. These activities are the efforts of SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga in preventing drug abuse.

Improving students' participation in the classroom is challenging, particularly in the oral activities. Learning strategy have to be arranged appropriately in order to provide as much as possible chance for students to do oral activities. The objective of this research is to improve oral activities of high school student by applying discovery learning model. There were 36 high school students of one public high school in Karanganyar, Indonesia purposively selected as participants. The discovery learning model was applied within 3 cycles and each cycle consists of 4 phases, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were obtained by observation, interview, and documentation, and triangulation method was conducted for validation of the data. Data were analysed based on VICS Flanders wooksheet. The result shows that student oral activities had been enhanced. The oral activities from pre-cycle to the last cycle respectively were 2.21%, 41.60%, 60.34%, and 78.75%. It can be concluded that discovery learning positively enhance student’s oral activities.

(2) Handling student problems, among others: first with a face to face approach by giving directions and warnings to students. Second, giving awards to students who are disciplined and give punishment to students who are not disciplined (problematic).. The third is holding Muhadhoroh Bersama activities once a week. And fifth, providing guidance and counseling to students who have severe problems at school.

Research shows that teacher support can increase student involvement in school activities or what is known as school engagement. Students who are engaged are better able to adapt and show better academic achievement. Teachers as authority figures in schools play a role in providing the support that students need. Forms of support that teachers can provide to students include teacher involvement, teacher autonomy support and teacher structure. How teacher support influences high school students' school engagement will be seen based on the Basic Needs Satisfaction theoretical framework, namely through fulfilling students' basic psychological needs in the form of fulfilling the need for competence, need for autonomy and need for relatedness. Data were collected using the Teacher Support questionnaire which was constructed by researchers based on the theory of Klem and Connell (2004), the Basic Needs Satisfaction questionnaire was an adaptation of the "Feeling I Have" measuring instrument constructed by Deci and Ryan (2000), while the School Engagement questionnaire was constructed by researchers based on the theory of Fredricks, Blumenfeld and Paris (2004). Data processing was carried out using Mediation Analysis. The results of data processing show that Teacher Support can increase student School Engagement directly or indirectly through the three types of Basic Needs Satisfaction (partial mediation). This research provides implications for schools to focus more on developing teachers' abilities in providing involvement, autonomy and structure support.

Central exams which are reflection of structure of education systems determine many schooling processes. Especially, scores coming from these exams are indicators for student performance. Transition to upper-secondary school from lower-secondary school is based on “System of Transition to Upper-Secondary Schools” (LGS). The current study aimed to examine the relationship between scores on System of Transition to High Schools (LGS) and student, classroom, and school level variables. The design of the study is a correlational research. The random sample consisted of 731 students from 47 classrooms in the 15 lower-secondary schools. Secondary data coming from educational institutions via school information form were analyzed by Hierarchical Linear Modelling (HLM). School success score as a student-level variable, experience of a class teacher as a classroom-level variable, and a number of exam branch teachers, and a number of teachers assigned in support and training courses as school-level variables predicted significantly students’ performance in LGS. Considering the results of the current study, activities for professional development of teachers is recommended urgently to increase performance of the students. They are trying to find ways to effectively improve junior high school students' math questioning skills. This study indicates that the frequency of asking students is still low, students still believe that the teacher is always right and never deny that the teacher teaches what is wrong. In further research, further research can be carried out on how to increase the frequency of student questions in teaching and learning activities

Many youth participate in extracurricular activities, and research has linked activity participation with school engagement and academic success. Social-ecological theory suggests that the social contexts of different types of extracurricular activities may differentially affect student outcomes. Yet, there is scant research examining the relation between various extracurricular activities and student outcomes. The current study seeks to address this gap by exploring how participation in three activities (sports, clubs, and arts), and combinations of these activities are associated with perceptions of school climate, using multilevel modelling. Participants included 15,004 high school students from 28 schools across 11 states in the United States. Findings suggest that students involved in extracurricular activities have more favourable perceptions of social-emotional security, adult support, student support, and school connectedness. However, these perceptions vary by activity type and combination, and do not appear to have a stacked effect in which involvement in more activities yields more favourable outcomes. We conclude that extracurricular activity participation may serve as a mechanism to promote a positive school climate. Implications for research and practice are discussed.

Student engagement is the most crucial factor in learning activities because it is the main factor in improving student learning outcomes in class. This study aims to develop instruments and evaluate student involvement in learning mathematics to achieve maximum learning outcomes at school. The population in this study was all high school students in Riau Province. The sample is 150 high school students selected by multiple-stage random sampling based on high, medium, and low student achievement levels. Data analysis in this study was carried out four times: (1) data analysis based on the results of expert assessment of the instrument with the Aiken formula; (2) small-scale validity data analysis with first-order CFA; (3) large-scale data analysis with second-order CFA analysis; (4) descriptive analysis to see the categorization of student learning engagement in Riau Province whether in very good, good, not good and very not good. The analysis using the Aiken formula shows that 24 out of 27 items developed are valid. The first-order CFA analysis shows that the 24 items distributed are valid. The second-order analysis shows that the construct validity of the learning involvement variable is valid and reliable. The analysis of learning involvement results shows that students' involvement in learning mathematics is in the not-good category. The Riau provincial government needs to maximize student learning engagement which can be done by regulating students' effective study hours at school and home. Collaboration between parents and schools must be improved so parents can control student learning outside of school.

A qualitative study on understanding student dropout risk was developed due to the increasing number of students leaving school at Dalaguete National High School, Dalaguete, Cebu, Philippines, a problem that the school faces and probably the rest of high schools worldwide. The study used a qualitative approach in multiple cases, a non-probability sampling method, which is the purposive sampling to understand the life of the one hundred fifteen (115) determined grade 9 students dropout risk in the school, their families, and the community. It sought to determine the student’s learning experiences and their influences on the participants’ academic performance. The most common learning experiences of students at risk of dropping out coming from all the participants’ learning experiences pointed out negative peer influences, coming from broken families, economic problems, and school factors that triggered tardiness and absenteeism to being demotivated to participate in all school learning activities. With these findings, an intervention program was proposed to bring back the students’ motivation to stay in school and finish their studies. Completing this study benefitted not only the students but also the school and stakeholders. The researcher is hopeful that the study’s outcomes will lead to continual research on dropout problems in the school, leading to ZERO dropout cases in all schools nationwide.

The Free School Meal Program (FSMP) initiated in 2011 in South Korea allows participating schools to provide free lunches to all students regardless of their household income. This paper examines how universal free school meal programs are associated with student health outcomes. We empirically show that FSMP reduces the share of students with high fitness grades by up to 1.5% of the student population. We also find that expenses for physical education decrease in schools that adopt FSMP. These results suggest that FSMP could crowd out investments in student physical activities, and student fitness could be negatively impacted. The paper sheds light on the importance of budgetary balance between universal welfare programs and other educational programs.

Filtering the abundance of information is done by providing information literacy skills. Information literacy skills need to be possessed by every student at school age to manage information as needed. The school library is one of the facilities that can equip students' information literacy skills. The school library seeks programs and activities related to information literacy. This study examines the efforts made by the library to develop information literacy skills. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research was conducted at the Ganesha Library of SMA Negeri 1 Jetis Bantul Yogyakarta. Research informants are the head of the library, deputy head of the library, librarians, teachers of reading interest, and students. The data collection techniques are used by observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed by data reduction, display data, and conclusion—the validity of the data used by triangulation of sources. The results showed that (1) Students at SMA Negeri 1 Jetis Bantul Yogyakarta had information literacy skills developed with the support of the Ganesha Library. (2) The efforts made by the Ganesha Library to develop students' information literacy skills are through library programs and activities, the role of librarians, the role of teachers, and the empowerment of human resources. The literacy skills possessed by students help them sort out information according to their needs, especially for the development of their academic activities.

Abstract:
Background: Sports activities are not just physical exercise, but are also the key to opening the door to increasing self-confidence for high school students. This research explores the positive impact of sports activities on students' psychological aspects, especially self-confidence. Methods: This research is a correlational descriptive study which aims to determine whether there are benefits of sports physical activity in increasing the self-confidence of high school students. The research involved a sample of 60 high school students using random sampling techniques. The research instruments are questionnaires and documentation. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 21 statistical software. Results: The results of the analysis show that there is a positive relationship between learning achievement and emotional intelligence of high school students, with a significance value (p < 0.05). Conclusion: In conclusion, our research has illuminated the profound positive impact of sports activities on enhancing student confidence across various domains. Through a comprehensive exploration of literature and empirical analysis, we have uncovered compelling evidence supporting the multifaceted benefits of sports participation in bolstering students' self-assurance and self-belief.

Abstract:
The non-optimal healthy behavior of junior high school (SMP) students in West Bandung Regency reflects the limited knowledge and weak attitudes of students in School Health Business Activities (UKS) through the implementation of health education, health services and the implementation of healthy education. The school environment is called TRIAS UKS. This research aims to determine and analyze the application of UKS in improving students’ healthy behavior so that middle school students’ learning effectiveness can be realized. UKS management that is not yet optimal and weak student healthy behavior has an impact on student achievement that is less effective. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research results show that the planning of UKS activities in three junior high schools has not been based on the results of analysis of the school environment, both internal and external, as mandated in the central UKS guidelines, so that the planning results do not reflect the picture needed by the school. In organizing UKS coaching, schools try as much as possible to involve all school members, but the implementation is not yet supported by description and task mechanisms and does not refer to management indicators, resulting in overlapping activities. UKS mobilization has not been integrated with other programs so that the implementation of health education, health services and a healthy school environment is still partial. UKS control and supervision has been attempted by each school, but it is still not optimal due to weak control and supervision carried out by the District UKS Advisory Team and in accordance with UKS guidelines. The conclusion of the research generally shows that junior high schools in West Bandung Regency are still in Complete Stratification according to the TRIAS UKS indicator which describes the weak health behavior of junior high school students.

Several studies indicated the low creative thinking skills of vocational high school students. The objective of this study is to describe the application of discovery learning models to improve the ability of the teachers to manage learning, student activities during the learning process, the student learning outcomes in terms of creative thinking skills, and the student responses to the learning activities. The research subjects were 35 students from the study program of Catering Food Service in a Public Vocational High School, SMK N 6 Surabaya. The lesson plan included the syllabus, learning implementation plans, student activity sheets, and assessment. Meanwhile, the data collection instruments included tests, observations, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-test. The results showed that discovery learning model could improve the teacher's ability to manage the learning, students’ activities, learning outcomes of creative thinking skills, and students’ responses.

Based on the observations that conducted by the researcher in the field earlier showed that the active daily motion activities of students Senior High School state 10 Padang was very less and was expected to effect the achievement of their health and physical fitness negatively. The purpose of this study was to assess the sports activities of the students of senior High School state 10 Padang. The research used quantitative approach and designed descriptively. Numbers of the population were 854 students which were consist of boy and girl Student Senior High School State 10 Padang. The Sample was taken by Stratified Random Sampling Technique which totally are 129 students. Data was collected by questionnaire, observation and interviews, and analyzed with descriptive techniques. The results of the analysis of student sports activities of the Senior High School State 10 Padang showed that (1) most of students were very participate in sport activities in physical Education learning, (2) most of the students were participate in extracurricular learning, (3)most of the student were participate in exercise activities outside the school structurally, (4) most of the students were participate moderately in sports activities outside the school are unstructured, (5) most of the students had very high active in to sport activities and most of them felt the benefits of Exercise activities. The final report reflects students' in-depth understanding of the learning process, school management, and the dynamics of teacher-student relationships at the high school. In the report, students present an evaluation of learning methods, challenges faced, and recommendations for improvement. Apart from that, student assistance also includes understanding the school curriculum and student involvement in extracurricular activities. In conclusion, the intern students succeeded in integrating educational theory with practice in the field, proving their professional growth and contribution to educational development at SMA Negeri 01 Buay Madang.

The most important requirement for today’s general education is the cultivation of humane and tolerant personality of the information society with well-developed business skills, which will allow him or her to successfully integrate into the complex social environment and act not only as a consumer but also as a producer, executive, leader, who can perform various social roles and determine the effectiveness and quality of his or her activities. The research aims to theoretically justify and experimentally verify the methodology for developing business skills in high school students using project activities. General education schools served as experimental facilities. The analysis of the experiment’s results took into account the number of group participants, as well as sampling representativeness (225 high school students aged between 14 and 17 in each group experimental and control). High school students’ understanding of the need for well-developed business skills is enhanced due to such forms and methods as reading biographies of prominent businessmen from all over the world; role-playing situations; meetings with people who have succeeded in economic, entrepreneurial, pedagogical and other fields; visits to companies, enterprises, cultural and scientific institutions; certain business games (“How can one live within one’s means?”, “Starting a business”, “Business communication”, “Manager’s working week”), conversations on such topics as “Is it difficult to be a businessman?”, “How can one succeed in learning?”, “Tell me about myself”; the “this is my opinion” student platform; participation in the youth forum of student organizations, an insight into business sites. The following diagnostic methods were used to identify the development level of certain business skills: the method called “Determining a self-focus” needed to identify business focus; the method called “Striving for achievements” needed to identify a striving for success; relevant tasks used to identify the level of key competencies; questionnaires about creativity; the communication and organization skills methodology needed to assess respective skills; methods for studying the level of subjective locus of control needed to assess responsibility; methods for identifying risk preparedness; the scale of reactive (situational) and personal anxiety needed to identify the level of self-control; the tolerance index questionnaire. The obtained results show that the number of high school students with a high level of business skills has increased by 12.8% in EG and only by 1.3 in CG. The number of high school students with an average level of business skills has increased by 3.8% in EG and by 0.6 in CG. Therefore, the comparison of EG and CG results proves the effectiveness of the proposed methodology for developing business skills in high school students using project activities.

Many schools carry out mitigation and adaptation action programs through changing student behavior. This is due to the fact that green schools with sustainable environmental programs are expected to produce individuals with environmentally responsible behavior. Therefore, this study was designed to analyze the environmentally responsible behavior (REB) in schools with an environmental culture based on the personality possessed by the high school students. This paper presented descriptive correlation metode. The green high school students used as respondents were selected through multiple random sampling techniques. The results showed that agreeableness and consciousness played an important role in shaping the environmental management and persuasive actions of the students. It was also discovered that agreeableness was very important to economic actions. The industrial class was formed to provide a knowledge and broader insight to students based on the development of competencies required by industries. However, several Vocational High Schools (VHS) unused industrial classes during the pandemic because the school partner industries is being impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The study was conducted to determine the implementation of industrial class model used during the pandemic. The research method uses quasi-qualitative. The research was conducted at Telkom Malang Vocational High School on software engineering skills competency. The finding showed collaboration form in the industrial class between industriesand VHS are curriculum synchronization, student selection, teacher training, implementation of street vendors and job recruitment. The implementation of industrial class is done online by monitoring students by school and industry supervisors. Industrial class students have a group project task formed. Supporting and inhibiting factors in the sustainability of the industrial class during the pandemic. Supporting factors are selected students with high abilities by selection process, and industrial partner support for industrial class implementation. While the inhibiting factor is online learning process, it cannot help the teacher to monitor student activities and build students mental directly. Abstract:
The Indonesian government has implemented the School Literacy Movement as a solution to the problem of low student interest in reading, but not all schools are able to implement the program. The pesantren-based school, Attin Al Khair Junior High School is one of the private Junior High Schools in Pangkah Sub-districts, Tegal, which has not been able to implement the School Literacy Movement because of their limited facilities, such as the absence of a school library. In addition, the economic background of students' family also affects students' interest in reading. Based on these conditions, literacy activities are focused on basic literacy skills, including reading and writing. Literacy activities are carried out by reading non-academic books for 15 minutes and writing a daily literacy journal. These activities are accompanied by a mentor, a teacher who is appointed by the school. The mentoring activities carried out by English Literature Study Program Community Service team have helped Attin Al Khair Junior High School to start their literacy activities and this program gets positive responses from both teachers and students. Therefore, the literacy activities can be implemented continuously, and become a literacy culture in the school environment.

Abstract:
This research aims to determine the form of implementation of participation and the level of student participation in waste management at school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research which aims to describe and analyze student participation in waste management through the Adiwiyata program which has been implemented in schools. The results of research on the implementation of student participation in managing types of waste at Adiwiyata High School in Palembang City include the use of trash bins based on type, and waste management participation activities by students. The use of trash cans by students has been implemented, but there are still students who have not thrown rubbish into trash cans based on the type. Student participation activities in waste management based on type include composting, clean Fridays, collecting, sorting and recycling waste, as well as a healthy canteen. The level of student participation in organic waste management has a percentage of 64.8% in the active category, inorganic waste management has a percentage of 71.3% in the active category, and B3 waste management has a percentage of 56.3% in the quite active category at Adiwiyata High School in Palembang City.

The data of this study were obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants in this research interview were several teachers and students from Junior High School 1 Ngemplak. This Research is located in Junior High School 1 Ngemplak. The research data were tested using data triangulation techniques. This study shows differences in student and classroom management implementation: before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The performance of student management and classroom management: before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic certainly has challenges that require educators to be more creative in student management and classroom management.
