This paper proposes a metasurface based on H-fractal unit structure, which exhibits three transmission resonance peaks. The simulation results show that these peaks are very sensitive to samples with different refractive indexes. The biggest frequency shift of these resonant peaks is about 2.6 GHz when the refractive index of samples changes by 1 and the quality factor(Q) values of the second and the third peak are up to 191.55 and 179.40 respectively, which has great application potential in the field of microwave sensing because its high-sensitivity and high-Q.

RELEVANCE. The design and development of radio frequency (RF) coil sensors is an important engineering and, at the same time, fundamental task for those radio spectroscopic instruments that require an increase in sensitivity, measured as a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Radio spectroscopy of nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR), especially in nitrogen compounds, in which the resonant frequency is very low and ranges from a few megahertz or lower to hundreds of kilohertz, requires the use of special solutions to increase the sensitivity. PURPOSE. Theoretical substantiation and search for a technical solution that allows achieving high sensitivity on standard equipment through the use of a high-quality sensor. METHODS. Methods for optimizing the design of sensors for NQR/NMR spectrometers are considered. The design of the sensor for the NQR spectrometer, which contains an inductance coil wound with a Litz wire, has been calculated and designed. RESULTS. A high-quality coil for the spectrometer sensor was made, which gives an increase in the quality factor by about 1.5 times. The use of a spectrometer with this coil made it possible to confidently record weak noisy signals of paracetamol at a low duty cycle. The sensitivity of the sensor made it possible to distinguish preparations from different manufacturers by their spectral characteristics. CONCLUSIONS. A solenoid sensor has been developed, modeled and manufactured, which has a high quality factor and allows recording quadrupole resonance signals of drugs (paracetamol) by a non-destructive method directly through the package. The possibility of using such a sensor for quality control of medicines, detection of falsified and counterfeit medicines is shown.

Abstract:
Le travail de thèse se situe dans le domaine de la physique des neutrinos dans le cadre de l'expérience T2K. La thèse est divisée en deux sujets : la caractérisation des détecteurs et la préparation de l'analyse physique. Dans le contexte de la mise à niveau du détecteur proche de T2K - ND280, un modèle a été développé et utilisé pour caractériser la dispersion de charge dans le détecteur Micromegas résistif novateur (ERAM). De plus, le gain et la résolution énergétique de chaque ERAM ont été obtenus, pad par pad, pour une caractérisation complète. Les résultats ont directement conduit à la sélection d'ERAM spécifiques pour une installation à des positions spécifiques sur les plans d'anode des chambres à projection temporelle à grand angle. Au total, 37 ERAM ont été caractérisés avec succès en utilisant des données aux rayons X provenant d'un banc d'essai au CERN. Ces informations ont également été utilisées pour la reconstruction. L'amélioration des statistiques et de l'efficacité de détection des événements quasi-élastiques en courant chargé dans la région de haut Q² (transfert de moment à quatre dimensions) après la mise à niveau du ND280 a été étudiée. La question de savoir dans quelle mesure les incertitudes de haut Q² seront effectivement contraintes après la mise à niveau du ND280 par les 4 paramètres de haut Q² dans le modèle de section efficace neutrino-noyau a été abordée en utilisant les outils de re-pondération de T2K et le programme d'ajustement - GUNDAM. Une source importante des incertitudes de haut Q² est le modèle de facteur de forme axial-vecteur (dipolaire) actuellement utilisé dans le modèle de section efficace. Certains modèles alternatifs de facteur de forme qui peuvent mieux contraindre ces incertitudes ont également été étudiés. L'effet des incertitudes dans l'estimation de l'énergie de liaison des nucléons sur différentes variables (cinématique des muons, énergie des neutrinos, etc.) a été étudié. Des splines par bins ont été produites pour les 4 paramètres de l'énergie de liaison dans le modèle de section efficace dans le contexte de l'analyse des oscillations utilisant les données collectées en 2024
The PhD work is in the field of Neutrino Physics as a part of the T2K experiment. The thesis is divided into two subjects- detector characterization and preparation of physics analysis. In the context of the upgrade of T2K near detector- ND280, a model was developed and utilized to characterize the charge spreading in novel resistive Micromegas (ERAM) detector. In addition, pad-by-pad gain and energy resolution was obtained for each ERAM for a complete characterization. The results directly led to the selection of specific ERAMs for installation at specific positions in the High Angle-Time Projection Chamber anode planes for charge readout. In total, 37 ERAMs were successfully characterized using X-ray data from a test bench at CERN. This information was also used as inputs for reconstruction. Improvement in statistics and detection efficiency of charged-current quasi-elastic events in high Q² (4-momentum transfer) region after the ND280 upgrade was studied. The question of- how effectively the high Q² uncertainties will be constrained after the ND280 upgrade by the 4 high Q² parameters in the neutrino-nucleus cross-section model was addressed using T2K re-weighting tools and the ND280 fitter- GUNDAM. An important source of the high Q² uncertainties is the axial-vector form factor model (dipole) used currently in the cross-section model. Some alternative form factor models that can better constrain these uncertainties were also studied. The effect of uncertainties in nucleon removal energy estimation on different variables (muon kinematics, neutrino energy, etc.) was studied. Binned splines were produced for the 4 removal energy parameters in the cross-section model in the context of Oscillation Analysis using data collected in 2024

Abstract:
New polymethine dyes (PD) based on benzene [c, d] indole were synthesized. Their spectral and nonlinear optical characteristics in liquid and polymer media have been studied. It was found that the relaxation times τ of the excited state of the new PDs are approximately the same as those of the dye 3274y, which is widely used as a passive Q-switch of neodymium lasers with a generation lengthwave of 1.06 μm. The low sensitivity of τ to changes in the chemical structure of such PDs indicates that the main contribution to the deactivation of the excited state is made by the benzene [c, d] indole heterocycle. High values ​​of the cross section in the range of 1.05-1.08 μm at low relaxation times allow the studied PD to be easily bleached in lasers at low intensities (about 10 MW/cm2). It is established that the photostability of the new PD significantly exceeds that for the dye 3274y. This is because they contain a saturated six-membered ring in the polymethine chain, which is much less reactive than the corresponding five-membered ring of dye 3274u with respect to the photoinitiator of free radicals of UV irradiation. It is shown that the efficiency of Q-switching and mode locking of new passive laser shutters is higher than their analogues based on the dye 3274y.

Abstract Figure 5.1 is a schematic of a capacitance detection system where the minute deflections of a lever supporting a force-sensing tip are monitored by the capacitance of the lever and a reference plate. This chapter reviews four implementations of such a system, all of which use a high-Q-tuned electronic circuit to measure the small changes in the capacitance. One can operate on the slope of the electronic resonance curve of the circuit, where small resonance frequency changes caused by changes in the capacitance translate into voltage changes that are used to map the capacitance across the sample. To enhance the sensitivity of the system, the lever can be vibrated on the slope of its mechanical resonance curve, so that small changes in the force derivative acting on the lever vary its amplitude of vibration. Consequently, the oscillating voltage of the electronically tuned circuit will be amplitude modulated by the vibration of the lever, making it possible to map the force derivative across a sample.

Infinite impulse response (IIR) filters are used in applications where the computational efficiency is the highest priority. It is well known that an IIR filter transfer function is of a considerably lower order than the transfer function of an FIR equivalent. The drawbacks of an IIR filter are the nonlinear phase characteristic and sensitivity to quantization errors. In multirate applications, the computational requirements for FIR filters can be reduced by the sampling rate conversion factor as demonstrated in Chapter IV. However, such a degree of computation savings cannot be achieved in multirate implementations of IIR filters. This is due to the fact that every sample value computed in the recursive loop is needed for evaluating an output sample. Based on the polyphase decomposition, several techniques have been developed which improve the efficiency of IIR decimators and interpolators as will be shown later on in this chapter. In this chapter, we consider first the direct implementation structures for IIR decimators and interpolators. In the sequel, we demonstrate the computational requirements for direct form IIR decimators and interpolators. The polyphase decomposition of an IIR transfer function is explained with its application to decimation and interpolation. Then, we demonstrate an efficient IIR polyphase structure based on all-pass subfilters, which is applicable to a restricted class of decimators and interpolators. In this chapter, we discuss the application of the elliptic minimal Q factor (EMQF) filter transfer function in constructing high-performance decimators and interpolators. The chapter concludes with a selection of MATLAB exercises for the individual study.

We discuss the sensitivity to initial conditions and the entropy production of low-dimensional conservative maps, focusing on situations where the phase space presents complex (fractal-like) structures. We analyze numerically the standard map as a specific example and we observe a scenario that presents appealing analogies with anomalies detected in long-range Hamiltonian systems. We see how the Tsallis nonextensive formalism handles this situation both from a dynamical and from a statistical mechanics point of view…. In recent years, the Tsallis extension of the Boltzmann-Gibbs (BG) statistical mechanics [9, 26], usually referred to as nonextensive (NE) statistical mechanics, has become an intense and exciting research area (see, e.g., Tsallis [25]). The q-exponential distribution functions that emerge as a consequence of the NE formalism have been applied to an impressive variety of problems, ranging from turbulence, to high-energy physics, epilepsy, protein folding, and financial analysis. Yet, the foundation of this formalism, as well as the definition of its area of applicability, is still not completely understood, and it stands as a present challenge in the affirmation of the whole proposal. An intensive effort is currently being made to investigate this point, precisely in trying to understand: (1) which mechanisms lead to a crisis of the BG formalism; and (2) in these cases, does the NE formalism provide a "way out" to some of the problems? A possible approach to these questions comes from the study of the underlying dynamics that gives the basis for a statistical mechanic treatment of the system. This idea is not new. Einstein, in his critical remark about the validity of the Boltzmann principle [10], was one of the first to call attention to the relevance of a dynamical foundation of statistical mechanics. Another fundamental contribution is Krylov's seminal work [14] on the mixing properties of dynamical systems. In one-dimensional (dissipative) systems, intensive effort has been made to analyze the properties of the systems at the edge of chaos, i.e., at the critical poin that marks the transition between chaoticity and regularity [6, 8, 16, 19, 18, 23, 27].
