Abstract:
<p><em>This paper aims to analyze the impact of Derrida's theory of deconstruction in relation to the application of contemporary Christian hermeneutics as well as an attempt at hermeneutical repositioning. The methodological approach used in this paper is descriptive qualitative with instruments of literature study, comparison and textual analysis. Concretely, critical analysis is carried out in stages of deconstruction theory, various phenomena of contemporary Christian hermeneutics, then presents the idea of Christian hermeneutics as a comparative model and discourse criticism. Meanwhile, the body of the writing is divided into three parts according to the analysis pattern. First, it specifically examines Derrida's theory of deconstruction. Second, it is an analysis of several forms of hermeneutic phenomena and discourse of Christian theology which are currently developing. Third, reviewing the Christian hermeneutic discourse from the evangelical perspective in an effort to reposition, criticize, and test discourse on the contemporary worldview. Through this research, distortions were found in hermeneutic studies and contemporary Christian discourse with several forms of deconstruction approaches. The three explicit patterns used are the hermeneutic application of binary negation to conservative theological discourse, the explicit emphasis on the textual eisegesis model and the post-structuralism approach to interpretation..</em><strong></strong></p><p><strong>Key words: </strong>Dekonstruksi, hermeneutika, oposisi biner, semantic, interpretasi biblis</p>

Abstract:
This study explores the communication articulations of Hans-Georg Gadamer’s hermeneutics. The research method that was used is a mix between the meta-analytic method, comparative method and hermeneutic method. It starts from the assumption that in order to understand the communication universe, this has to be judged in relation with some pre-determined axes. The corpus of analysis is hermeneutical work of Gadamer. We prove that, founder of the philosophical hermeneutics, Gadamer is also one of the founders of communication hermeneutics. The thetic articulation radiography of the Gadamerian work highlights that activities of hermeneutics inevitably occur within communication; communication includes strong interpretive-hermeneutic flows. Gadamer considers the interpretation as an intrinsic process of communication: no communication can exist without interpretation. The work reveals as main elements of Gadamerian hermeneutic conception of communication: universality of interpretation (of reason, language and understanding), hermeneutical situation (addressing, fusion of horizons), the principle and the canon of interpretation.

Abstract:
This article presents the results of the observations about digital literacy that were studied philosophically through Gadamer's hermeneutic approach. The reason for using this approach is to achieve an understanding of how the subject and its history play a role in the digital literacy process, where ontologically, the content of information has been visualized into the digital world so that a philosophical understanding is needed in understanding the virtual reality. This research is included in the classification of qualitative research with an analysis with three stages, namely reducing data that is very general and broad in a more specific form, and relevant to digital literacy and hermeneutics; then classifies the dimensions of digital literacy so that it is easy to determine the dimensions of the hermeneutics; interpret digital literacy to clarify the dimensions of hermeneutics in it, and concludes and draws relevance to efforts to overcome hoaxes. The results obtained from this study are on a hermeneutical analysis of the process of digital literacy as a catalyst for peace, that equalizing the elimination of discrimination at the historical-ego level can be achieved through the application of hermeneutical digital literacy that is by promoting dialectical historical understanding, where contemporary history dialecticism with the history of the past which is often claimed by certain groups as the heyday and the fruit of their work.

Abstract:
The hermeneutic study about discourse before the existence of Paul Ricoeur was around three points: romantic hermeneutics, onology hermeneutics, and dialectical hermeneutics. They have characteristics that other mainsteams do not have. Ricoeur’s thought style cannot be included in any of those three hermeneutic thoughts. In fact, his thought covers almost all contemporary philosophical topics. One of the points of Ricoeur’s contemporary hermeneutics is how to combine the phenomenology of Husserl’s metaphysical tendencies with Heidegger’s existential phenomenology. The text is essentially autonomous to carry out “de-contextualization” (the process of liberating oneself from context) and “re-contextualization” (the process of returning to context). Ricoeur’s thought patterns cannot be included in one of the three hermeneutic thought. In fact, his thought allegedly covers almost all contemporary philosophical topics. One of Ricoeur’s contemporary hermeneutics is how to combine the phenomenology of Husserl’s metaphysical tendencies with Heidegger’s existential phenomenology.

Abstract:
The applied aspects of philosophical hermeneutics in connection with the formation of a special hermeneutic space in modern humanitarian culture are considered. The concept of meaning and understanding inherent in the ancient philosophical tradition is analyzed, the terminological aspects of the concept of understanding in its practical plane are considered. The hermeneutic method and its use in the analysis of specific semantic formations is associated with the concept of metaphor, which can be considered as a mediastinum of hermeneutic experience.Hermeneutics is a special aspect or turn in the development of European philosophy, which includes all other levels: ontology, epistemology, transcendental phenomenology and language philosophy. It is language that is the source from which the very possibility of hermeneutics arises. Language is the medium of hermeneutic comprehension of the world and today we observe in modern philosophy the situation of the formation of hermeneutical environment, a special semantic space in which we comprehend all the philosophical systems of the past and present. The hermeneutics constantly raises the question: is understanding possible in principle? It is not even a matter of whether we can understand Hesiod or the Bible. The question is whether we can understand ourselves and what this actually means. How adequate is the expressed meaning to the subject himself? The fundamental basis of hermeneutics, its ability and its necessity is the presence of external and internal in a word, speech, sign, etc. The presence of hidden meaning, metaphoricality, connotations, polysemy, personal meaning, etc. – this makes hermeneutics possible, even regardless of its real achievements. Here the principles of F. Schleiermacher are quite appropriate: 1. Everything that is subject to interpretation should be determined only from the language of the author and the original circle of readers. 2. The meaning of every word in a given place should be determined by its connection with the meaning of the context. For example, the Greek logos may mean, in various contexts, reason and law, prose and the Savior, which is, in general, a traditional problem of translation and translators. As a result, it should be noted that the problem of stratification of hermeneutic experience is fundamental for understanding the very essence of hermeneutics. This experience is not a separate form of it, at present we can talk about the fact that it permeates all humanitarian knowledge, which allows us to talk about the formation of a special hermeneutic cultural, semantic, semantic space in which any person should make sense. This attitude allows a completely different look at the role and tasks of hermeneutics on the way of turning it into a universal philosophical methodology.

Pagrindiniai žodžiai: hermeneutika, genealogija, tradicija, ontologija, valia galiai.Towards a New Account of Hermeneutics: Genealogy versus Hermeneutics Andrius Bielskis SummaryThe essay analyses the difference between Hans-Georg Gadamer’s and Alasdair MacIntyre’s conceptions of hermeneutic philosophy, on the one hand, and Nietzschean genealogy, on the other. It argues that Ricoeur’s famous distinction between ‘hermeneutics of faith’ and ‘hermeneutics of suspicion’ in the light of the ontological reading of Nietzsche’s genealogy is misleading. Rather than trying to understand Nietzsche’s philosophy as the hermeneutics of suspicion, it is more accurate to see Nietzsche’s and Foucault’s interpretive philosophy in terms of genealogy. The contrast between Gadamerian hermeneutics and Nietzschean genealogy, the one hand, as well as reading Gadamer hermeneutics in the light of MacIntyre’s conception of tradition-constituted and tradition-constitutive philosophical inquiry, on the other, allow us to formulate an alternative conception of hermeneutics. The essay argues that hermeneutics is inevitably linked to tradition: hermeneutics depend on and draws its moral and intellectual resources from tradition as well as determines and continues tradition further. Keywords: Hermeneutics, genealogy, tradition, ontology, will to power.: Calibri, sans-serif;">

Abstract:
Abstract The divine authorship of Scripture has been a much-debated topic throughout history, particularly in the modern and postmodern eras. Those who continue to hold to such a conviction have often wrestled with its hermeneutical implications. Hermeneutic realists who employ forms of authorial discourse interpretation have realized that their presuppositions regarding the divine authorship of Scripture pose significant hermeneutical challenges. In particular, it is often believed that the divine author may intend to communicate something different from what the human author of the text intended. This belief has led many to employ what became known as a sensus plenior hermeneutic, a hermeneutic that has generated criticism from both hermeneutic realists and non-realists alike. Recent years have witnessed renewed interest in understanding Scripture as divine communication. Those involved in theological hermeneutics have drawn upon advances in a wide range of disciplines in order to develop and defend their methodologies. From the fields of communication theory and pragmatics, speech act theory has been proffered by some as providing an insightful analysis of the anatomy of communication and, in particular, authorial intention. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate how speech act theory highlights the problems related to a dual-authorship hermeneutic and with sensus plenior approaches in particular. At the same time, speech act theory is shown to be a valuable tool that can clarify interpretive goals and enable a greater appreciation of the divine authorship of Scripture at both canonical and intracanonical levels.

Sammanfattning/abstractLinda Gustavsson (2015). Pedagogisk utredning som arbetsredskap. En innehållsanalys medhermeneutisk ansats. Pedagogical investigation as a working tool. An hermeneutic analysis.
Summary / abstractLinda Gustavsson (2015). Pedagogical investigation as a working tool. An hermeneutic analysis. Special education program, School Development and Leadership, Learning and Society, Malmö UniversityBackgroundThere is an immanent lack of research on pedagogical investigations and it is unknown to which extent these investigations are useful tools for educators. Therefore, this study examines models of pedagogical investigations in more detail. The study targets investigation templates that are used to identify a student's situation at school before an action plan is established. The underlying reason is to observe how the template's design affects the description of the student's situation at school and how it shapes the need for assistance in the investigation. The study is based on the following research questions:• How are the learning environment, teaching content and methods described?• How are the student's special needs described?• How is student and guardian involvement covered?TheoryThe study follows a system theory approach, because a holistic perspective is necessary when investigating students in need of special support. The branch of system theory that this study focuses on is Bronfenbrenner’s ecology of development, which offers a model for analyzing students from a holistic perspective. In addition, the application of various perspectives of the field of special-need education contributes to a balanced picture of how the investigation templates relate to policy documents.MethodThe study analyses the texts qualitatively following a hermeneutic approach. General hermeneutic ideas of how to interpret and analyze texts are therefore the basis of this study. Accordingly, the comprehension of a message and not its explanation is the focus of this study. The analysis is built on a systematic description of the content of the investigations using a coding scheme. The coding units /items that are found are used in the further analysis of the material.ResultsOne of five schools maps the learning environment in the pedagogical investigation. Most schools do not question their ways of organizing their activities. Three schools describe the different approaches and methods they are using, but these descriptions are not extensive. The student’s source of difficulties is generally found on the individual level. Investigators do usually not examine or analyze learning situations that have turned out to been functionally adequate for the students. Possible tools or areas that students need support with are expressed in all investigations. The learning situations or environments that could be improved are however only described to a lesser extent (5 out of 11 schools). Methods, procedures and ways of organizing activities to support students are mentioned in all the investigations but two. The descriptions are however often rather unspecific on questions such as on how to do what.Neither are inquiry templates thoroughly good or bad, nor do teachers have either categorical or relational perspectives. Instead it is often a combination of factors on multiple levels that causes a student to be described at school, group and/ or individual levels. To be able to investigate at school, group and individual level a special-need educator needs to be aware that it may require a long-term developmental work in order to succeed. This also includes the supervision of educators. Special-need teacher should highlight the categorical and relational perspectives to those who work in school so that own roles and activities can be assessed with critical self-reflection.Keywords: document analysis, educational assessment, school, group and individual level, special needs, system theory

Abstract:
The focus of this research is what constitutes school ethos for a purposive sample of seven final year students in a Scottish secondary school. A review of existing literature on the topic of school ethos highlighted the importance that policy makers and practitioners in Scotland afford to the notion of a positive school ethos. Yet knowledge of the topic remains limited with only a narrow range of approaches to researching school ethos evident within the literature reviewed. This study begins by considering the ideas of the early twentieth century philosophies of Martin Heidegger (1889 – 1976) and Edith Stein (1891 – 1942). In their ideas about the human person and human relationships the conceptual tools: thrownness; beingwith; care (acts of solicitude); mood; and temporality are identified to investigate school ethos from a different perspective. The hermeneutic phenomenological tradition particularly Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s (1908 – 1961) notion of embodiment and Hans George Gadamer’s (1900 – 2002) ideas of: conversation; fusion of horizons; and the hermeneutic circle provide both the methodology and method to investigate the phenomenon that presents itself as school ethos from the student perspective. Data on the students’ lived experience of secondary school were collected by conversational interview and are presented as participant stories with each story organised around the same five explicative themes. The analysis of the data found that there was little evidence of the school’s declared ethos entering the lifeworld of the participants, rather school ethos is experienced for them as moods which surface from acts of solicitude. Although the small-scale nature of the study precludes wider generalisations from the findings the study highlights issues that may be useful to policy makers and practitioners. In particular, it suggests there is a need to pay greater attention to understanding the lifeworlds of students, to the lived experience of school ethos and on seeking further clarification around what constitutes positive acts of solicitude within the context of school.

Abstract:
We humans often think about who we are. Often these thoughts are about what we want to become. We face many questions about identity and life issues. Life issues as a concept can be difficult to interpret and we often mix this concept with other concepts such as existential issues, philosophy of life, life interpretations, etc. In another context, life issues are associated with ethics and morality. For example, life issues may refer to questions about what is important in life, what is the purpose of life, what is good and evil, what is right and wrong etc. Life issues in a school book can also be associated with virtues, moral and ethics.   Based on previous research, I have wanted to examine and clarify how the questions of life are presented in three school books. In the first place, I have focused on life issues addressed in the three school books for Religion 1 for high school. The books I have chosen to analyze are Religion 1 by Birgitta Thulin and Sten Elm, Religion 1 & 2 also written by Birgitta Thulin and Sten Elm and Religion och andra livsåskådnigar by Börje Ring. In the background of my examination are text analysis method and hermeneutic.   According to what has emerged in my study, life issues can be associated with philosophical questions, existential questions, life questions, etc. Life issues, in my study material, among other things, are about life and death, ethics and morality, sex and relationships, virtues etc. Briefly, I can say that the school books in my research, are adapted to the curriculum, and they contain a lot of discussion questions. The discussion questions are intended for students' discussions and assignments in different forms.

Arabic is the language of the Holy Qur'an, which was revealed to the Prophet Mohammed (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who in turn dictates it to His companions. The Prophet's companions did not encounter any difficulty in the understanding and comprehension of the Qur‘anic verses simply because the Qur'an was revealed in a language variety with which they have been quite familiar. Yet, the companions of the prophet differ in their understanding of the Qur'an. Their understanding may vary according to their competencies and their closeness to the prophet. In addition, the Qur'an includes verses that appear to be contradictory. Some verses of the Qur'an, for instance, may imply that man is free to select either the path of faith or the path of blasphemy.

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis was to deepen our understanding of how audiences represent male and female dark fictional characters (DFCs) by exploring how Harry Potter fans discuss four of these characters on Reddit. Drawing on affective disposition theory as a guiding framework as well as previous investigations of gender representation and online fan cultures, I collected and analyzed 117 posts (containing 9,693 comments) about four DFCs from the Harry Potter franchise. I chose two male DFCs (Lord Voldemort and Severus Snape) and two female ones (Bellatrix Lestrange and Dolores Umbridge) for my investigation. The data were analyzed using a productive hermeneutics approach. Fans’ representation of these characters intersected with the extent which the characters’ fictionality was salient, how they were visualized, the online culture of Reddit, and fans’ presumed identification with these characters. Bellatrix was defined by her portrayal by Helena Bonham Carter in the films and her combination of valuable masculine and feminine traits. Moreover, she was a figure of pure fantasy, which allowed fans to love her depravity. Umbridge and Snape, by contrast, were hated for intruding into the fantasy that Harry Potter offered, reminding fans of bullying and overly controlling teachers. Snape, however, was redeemed by his complexity and embodiment of geek masculinity. Voldemort was valued for his intellect and power but also criticized as a peer failing to rise to his intellectual potential; fans at turns identified with and undercut him through humor. Taken together, the results indicate a need to qualitatively explore how DFCs are received by audiences, as it can add further nuance to our understanding of how morality and gender influence media consumption.

Abstract:
I resultatet redovisas försoningens olika dimensioner inom människan.
The nursing scientific concept of reconciliation creates an opportunity for people to experience an emotional satisfaction in life. Reconciliation takes place inside the human and creates an opportunity to unite with difficult life situations. The purpose of this study was to explain what reconciliation is and how it takes shape in nursing. The results explain reconciliations different proportions inside the human. Reconciliation can be represented as a human acceptance, as a human's ability to regain control, as a human hope, as a human change and as a human process. A model in the result presents the different proportions of reconciliations. Together the different proportions form the infinite of reconciliation that together creates the inner core of reconciliation. The different proportions of reconciliation are constantly in motion. There is missing evidence for reconciliation in nursing science. If more sciences performed, nurses can get implements for the care process to understand how reconciliation takes shape in human and how nurses can promote reconciliations for patients.

Abstract:
AbstractDrawing on sociological Grounded Theory and ethnographic semantics, this chapter argues that analysis is a genuinely creative practice. Analysis entails not simply classifying the data found or produced in the field in accordance with everyday, common-sense knowledge but rather looking for aesthetic and semantic clues in it. It is also not a fixed program, but rather a hermeneutic and explorative search for new connections and patterns of meaning. This is demonstrated through examples of various data materials, such as transcripts of interviews, observation protocols, photographs, video, and material culture.

Abstract:
In the philosophy of architecture, phenomenological aesthetics has acquired particular relevance. It focuses on the problems of perception, atmospheres, and physicality. However, along with phenomenology, the hermeneutics of architecture plays an equally important role. The purpose of this report is to identify the common starting positions of phenomenological aesthetics and hermeneutics in the analysis of architecture; to point out the various tasks of the phenomenology and hermeneutics of architecture. Phenomenology starts from the description of space and its impact on a person. Hermeneutics proceeds from the experience of understanding space as reading and simultaneous self-understanding by a person of himself. The hermeneutic formulation of the question of the space of architecture in the future goes beyond the boundaries of the original experience of perception, expands the problem of understanding to the problem of multi ple interpretations and historicity of meaning.

Abstract:
It is common to ascertain the loss of quality in the urban form during the 20th and 21st centuries, especially in the current globalization scenario, and in comparison to the previous centuries. Relevant authors of the cultural and artistic critique such as Erwin Panofsky, Ernst Gombrich or Enrique Lafuente Ferrari have defended the identification of the quality in the works of creation as the fundamental objective of the critique. Due to this, the research and identification of the quality features in the urban form are pertinent in order to have useful instruments to correct this contemporary cultural loss. It is therefore proposed the identification of quality principles of urban form from a hermeneutic point of view. That is to say, each of these principles as capable of opening a certain horizon of comprehension of a specific perspective of quality. For example, we can aim at: beauty, scale, amenity, grace, order, etc. Each principle, offers then a horizon of understanding and also of urban creativity that assembles into this work from the analysis of operative subprinciples and their verification on specific expressive cases of urban form, in both, historical and current aspects. The principles in turn can intertwine offering cumulative and transverse quality options. Therefore, what is sought, is to offer a pertinent and structured hermeneutical tool for the analysis of urban form in its values of quality and excellence.

In Sixth International Conference on Higher Education Advances. Valencia: Universitat Politècnica de València, 2020. http://dx.doi.org/10.4995/head20.2020.11089.

Full text
Abstract:
TeachMeet is an emerging informal professional development event organised by teachers for teachers, commonly described as an unconference. It is a volunteer-led global phenomenon without any established hierarchy. To celebrate the first ten years of TeachMeet, the founders announced an open call for particpants to submit, online, their stories of impact. The resulting submissions were subjected to an Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) capitalizing on the ‘double hermeneutic’ lens of the experience of researchers whose positionality is that of informed insiders. Findings reveal the categories in which the lived experience reported by participants shows the impact of TeachMeet: ranging from appreciative description of the event they attended to reflective confessions of life-enhancing transformation in their personal and professional lives, their classrooms and the wider teaching community. These finding are examined in the light of how they align with several models of evaluation of teacher learning (Guskey 1998, Kennedy 2005, Kirkpatrick 2006, Desimone 2011, Wenger, Trayner and deLatt 2011), and what they indicate about where evolving TeachMeet communities and networks may be situated in an informal learning landscape.

Abstract:
"Introduction. The need to develop critical thinking has been growing in the 21st century. It has become a key competence included in the school national programs also in Slovakia. The Slovak teachers’ critical thinking conceptualization is analyzed by qualitative study in this research as teachers are those ones responsible for its development in the educational system. Aim & Method: The study aim was to analyze the Slovak primary and high school teachers’ critical thinking conceptualization (N=99, 73% of females, Mage=44 years, SD 10.56) and to explore their critical thinking interpretations. Text content analysis is an important part of qualitative research. There are two basic methods – descriptive-interpretative and hermeneutic one, but the best solution is to combine them. The starting point was a basic file reconnaissance by qualitative content analysis to orient in a file, and then to start interpreting the file in the context of hermeneutic approach. The aim was to analyze data from Critical Thinking Questionnaire of our provenience on critical thinking conceptualization in 2020. Results & Discussion: The study results from the qualitative research analysis extracted 2374 words used to describe critical thinking understanding by the research participants. The qualitative frequency content analysis created data matrix decomposition. In the last phase, the synonymous and similar words clusters based on a word stem were formed to create critical thinking categories. The critical thinking “criteria dictionary” was based on frequency hierarchy. The results were compared with standardized critical thinking definitions. The results also proved 55% of respondents used wider or narrow critical thinking definition and 7% of them explained critical thinking completely incorrectly. The study was created as a part of newly established Slovak Philosophy for Children Center and of the KEGA 028UMB-4/2021 project."

Abstract:
Research methodology. The following methods were used in this research: general scientific methods (descriptive, analysis, synthesis, comparison) and special (structural, hermeneutic, narrative, method of content analysis). We identified words related to the concept of the enemy and determined the context in which they are used by the authors of the collections Results. The formats of reflection of military reality in collections of military documentaries are investigated. It is emphasized that the authors-observers of events as professional communicators form a vision of events based on categories understandable to the audience – «own» and «others». Instead, the authors-participants go events have more creative space and pay more attention to their own emotional state and reflections. It is defined how the enemy is depicted and what place he occupies in the military reality represented by the authors. It is emphasized that the authors reflect the enemy in different ways. In particular, the authors-observers of the events tried to form a comprehensive vision of the events, and therefore paid much attention to the opposite side of the military conflict. Authors-participants of the events tend to show the enemy as a mass to be opposed. In such collections, the enemy is specified only in the presence of evidence confirming the presence of Russians or militants. Novelty. The research for the first time investigates the methods of representation of military activity in the collections of Ukrainian military documentaries. The article is devoted to the analysis of how the authors represent the enemy. Practical importance. The analysis of collections of military documentaries will allow to study the phenomenon of war and to trace the peculiarities of the authors’ representation of military reality.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to identify the figurative means in the formal diplomatic texts of speeches of chief delegates of the Ukrainian SSR to exert influence at the sessions of the UN General Assembly. Based on the interpretive method of speech analysis and the method of generalisation of the data obtained, an attempt was made to identify the main figurative means and expressiveness of speech, which help to achieve the effect of influence on the reader (listener). In order to identify hidden meanings, a hermeneutic approach to understanding texts was used. According to the results of the study, the most actively used linguistic means of figurativeness in the considered texts are epithets, metaphors, phraseologies. There are many more negative epithets used in the texts of speeches than positive ones, which aim to make people aware of the idea of self-preservation, to arouse emotions of anxiety, fear, vigilance. Metaphors of positive and negative evaluation are used to verbalise mental states, social states and thought processes. Most of the epithets, metaphors, idioms represented in the text are used to denote a negative evaluation, which is perceived as a deviation from the norm and is motivated by the following factors: the reluctance of people to take positive action, irresponsible attitude of some people towards others, socially unacceptable flaws and shortcomings. A logical continuation of this study is the analysis of linguistic means of figurativeness and evaluativity of other types of texts of the official style, including statements and conventions.
