Abstract:
An oft-defended claim of a close relationship between Gentzen inference rules and the meaning of the connectives they introduce and eliminate has given rise to a whole domain called proof-theoretic semantics, see Schroeder- Heister (1991); Prawitz (2006). A branch of proof-theoretic semantics, mainly developed by Dosen (2019); Dosen and Petric (2011), isolates in a precise mathematical manner formulas (of a logic L) that have the same meaning. These isomorphic formulas are defined to be those that behave identically in inferences. The aim of this paper is to investigate another type of recently discussed rules in the literature, namely grounding rules, and their link to the meaning of the connectives they provide the grounds for. In particular, by using grounding rules, we will refine the notion of isomorphic formulas through the notion of hyper-isomorphic formulas. We will argue that it is actually the notion of hyper-isomorphic formulas that identify those formulas that have the same meaning.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
AbstractIntroduction. The normal anatomy of the cystic duct (CD) has been described a long time ago, but the basic description is valid up today: average length 2-4 mm, caliber 1-1.5 mm, and reduced volume by the spiral mucous folds of Heister. Anatomic variants of the CD and its aberrant insertion lead to confusion during preoperative imaging examinations, and particularly to unpleasant situation during surgery, when the surgeon has to confirm positive identification of the anatomical structures, in order to avoid iatrogenic biliary lesion. The aim of this prospective observation study was to evaluate the eventual bond between the low insertion of the CD in the common hepatic duct (CHD) and the onset of the pancreatic cephalic carcinoma (PCC).Methods. In this study we examined 21 patients with PCC. The inclusion criteria was diagnosed PCC in operable stage. The method for estimation of both, the operability and the site of insertion of the CD into CHD consisted of: ultrasonography (US), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), CT and MRI. Finally, the surgical procedure was extensive duodenopancreatectomy, Whipple procedure. The surgical procedure was supplemented with periarterectomy and bilateral coeliac ganglienectomy in purpose of radical treatment and denervation.Results. Of the total of 21 patients, we revealed low insertion of the CD (LICD) in 6 patients (28%). In 4 patients (3 male and 1 female), the LICD was presented with complete dilatation of the biliary tree, including CD, CHD and the gallbladder, while in 2 patients the CD and its low insertion were absent on the images-ERCP, CT. In these 2 patients the appearance was amid the cranial infiltration and growth of the carcinoma.Conclusions. Comparison with other reference radiological and anatomical studies, our results significantly differ in the frequency of the appearance of the LICD. This may partially be due to different definitions and criteria referring to LICD. On the other hand, the observed differences may be caused by the eventually present connection between the LICD and PCC. Therefore, further studies with a larger number of participants are necessary (anatomical, pathological and genetic), to confirm or to deny the predicted bond between the LICD and PCC.

Abstract:
The Heisei era had changed to the Reiwa era in 2019. All the Japanese people entered a new phase of the Japanese imperial era. Emperor Akihito wanted to abdicate for health reasons, so the throne was replaced by emperor Naruhito. This study aims to look back at any significant events that occurred in the Heisei era. The method used is this research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collected by the literature method through several articles about the Heisi era. The results of this study indicates that overall it can be said that peace has been achieved in Japan. The Heisei Era is an era filled with economic turmoil and disasters in Japan. In addition, the Heisei era also still leaves a heavy task for the Reiwa era, that is economic improvement after the economic bubble to revive the Japanese economy as before. Heisei era is indeed full of challenges for Japan, but international confidence in Japan is very high. By advancing its technological progress, Japan managed to become the organizer of the winter olympics in 1998 and the world cup in 2002.

Abstract:
AbstractWe analyzed intestinal contents of two late-glacial mastodons preserved in lake sediments in Ohio (Burning Tree mastodon) and Michigan (Heisler mastodon). A multi-proxy suite of macrofossils and microfossils provided unique insights into what these individuals had eaten just before they died and added significantly to knowledge of mastodon diets. We reconstructed the mastodons’ habitats with similar multi-proxy analyses of the embedding lake sediments. Non-pollen palynomorphs, especially spores of coprophilous fungi differentiated intestinal and environmental samples. The Burning Tree mastodon gut sample originates from the small intestine. The Heisler mastodon sample is part of the large intestine to which humans had added clastic material to anchor parts of the carcass under water to cache the meat. Both carcasses had been dismembered, suggesting that the mastodons had been hunted or scavenged, in line with other contemporaneous mastodon finds and the timing of early human incursion into the Midwest. Both mastodons lived in mixed coniferous-deciduous late-glacial forests. They browsed tree leaves and twigs, especiallyPicea. They also ate sedge-swamp plants and drank the lake water. Our multi-proxy estimates for a spring/summer season of death contrast with autumn estimates derived from prior tusk analyses. We document the recovered fossil remains with photographs.

Abstract:
The sale of luxury goods during the 1930s represents an incongruous aspect of American business that has been largely ignored by historians. This essay focuses on the efforts of one manufacturer of high-quality, elegant glassware, A. H. Heisey & Company of Newark, Ohio, to survive the Great Depression. Heisey created successful new sales strategies and product designs to meet the changing tastes of its customers. Although difficult to gauge with precision, Heisey's business also benefited from the overlapping influence of several New Deal measures: the Beer–Wine Revenue Act, the National Recovery Act, and the National Housing Act. Paradoxically, Heisey was most hampered by President Roosevelt's adoption of fiscal restraint in 1937, a policy that the company's Republican executives strongly advocated.
