Abstract:
The term cultural supervision has been coined as part of a strategy that implicates supervision in the support and development of culturally appropriate therapeutic practice. In Aotearoa New Zealand particular focus has been given to supervision where the client is Māori and the practitioner is a member of the dominant Pākehā culture particularly, or of other non-Māori cultures. However, while the phrase cultural supervision has entered common professional parlance, the practice has had little research attention in counselling/psychotherapy in New Zealand. Cultural supervision appears to encompass a range of understandings, and there is no clear agreement about practice implications. It is unclear what alignment there is between aspirations, regulations, and practice. This article reports on an exploratory qualitative study that investigated how supervision might work in supporting culturally appropriate counselling practice in Aotearoa New Zealand. The study’s findings are presented as a multi-voiced dialogue. This arts-based representational practice enacts the uncertainties of post-colonial experience. Its intention is to make assumptions, ideas, and practices available for discussion. Its contribution is to join current dialogue about supervision and culture, and to raise further questions about how supervision and culturally appropriate practice come together. Zadatk master rada bio je modeliranje hidrauličkih uticaja novog mosta koji će se nalaziti na reci Tisi, u okviru novoplaniranog autoputa Beograd-Zrenjanin-Novi Sad. Samo modeliranje rađeno je u softverskom paketu HEC RAS. Vršena je simulacija poplavnog talasa iz 2006. godine kako bi se dobili rezultati koji pokazuju mogući uspor koji može nastati usled izgradnje mosta. Proračun je rađen za ustaljeno i neustaljeno tečenje reke Tise.

Abstract:
When faced with the intolerance of the imperialist who denigrates and annihilates other ways of life, one answer is the principle of tolerance as advocated by multiculturalism and biculturalism. This asserts that each way of life has its own legitimacy, to be valued on its own terms, and that its differences with other ways of life ought to be tolerated. The concept of figure and ground is a helpful way of conceptualising the practice of tolerance, making room for inclusive, both/and forms of existence. It is an image for the attempt to live and let live, in which differences — mountain and sea — coexist in harmony with each other. Whilst broadly in favour of this world view, I will nevertheless inquire into some of its beliefs and assumptions. Amongst other things, I argue that the “cultural group” is not the straightforward category it is often portrayed as, but always a conflictual, problematic and politicised entity. This in turn problematises the activity of tolerance: what is the psychology of tolerance and how is it informed by the political context? What is taking place within us when we are actively tolerating something? Is tolerance necessarily and always a good thing? Are there occasions when intolerance (and therefore, conflict) is the ethical requirement? In this article I argue that the ideals of “respecting difference”, “inclusivity”, “tolerance” are not only ethical but also always political. In sum, I argue for the virtues of discrimination over those of tolerance. In this paper I examine explanations offered by scientific medicine. I wish to show that such explanations are based on structure determinism in all branches of medicine except psychiatry and the psychological medicine. I hope to show that the distinctions of illness/ disorder made in these disciplines are violations of structure determinism, and, while being legitimate as explanations, the distinctions do not belong to science but to ethics and morality. I do not intended to present a “balanced view”, but to deconstruct psychiatry and, through this, present an alternative viewpoint from the Biology of Cognition. After a long quiet phase AG Dra underwent an outstandingly active phase with two outbursts in 1980 Nov. and 1981 Nov.(Viotti et al, 1984). Since then a new quiet phase has followed. In this work we analyse two spectra of AG Dra, of which, one was taken in 1981 by C.C. Huang at the Haute-Provence Observatory using the Marly spectrograph with a dispersion of 80 A/mm at the 1.2 m telescope, the other was obtained by Dr Y.Andrillat in 1985 with the same instrument.Figure 1 shows the spectral variations of AG Dra between 1981 and 1985. The main features of the emission line spectrum are not much different between the two spectra, except that in 1985 there was a new wide weak emission line at 3488 A possibly due to FeII. There were a lot of strong emission lines due to H, HeI, HeII and 0III in both spectra. The spectrum of the late-type component was much more obvious in 1985 than in 1981. In 1985 the lines of CaII K, CaIλ4227 and the G-band of CH were quite strong. In addition we measured a lot of absorption lines due to FeI, SrII and TiII on the 1985 plate. The Balmer continuum emission and the blue contiuum were enhanced in 1981. On the 1981 plate the stellar spectrum in ultraviolet can be traced beyond 3200 A and the blue continuum heavily veiled the spectrum of the cool component. In 1985 they were much weaker.

Defining spirituality as the art of making compassionate connection, this article makes connections between spirit, the sacred, wholeness, and the soul. The article offers some reflections on the timeliness of what the author sees as the new direction of spirituality toward wholeness and the decline of religion in Western societies. The article discusses the “psychological turn” in spirituality, and psycho-spiritual healing using the example of anxiety; and makes some points about spirituality and the healing professions, healing professionals, and our practice. Abstract:
Từ tháng 12 năm 2020 tới tháng 2 năm 2022, 80 bệnh nhân đã tham gia và ghép cặp trong nghiên cứu so sánh phương pháp lấy huyết khối trực tiếp với phương pháp bắc cầu tiêu chuẩn. Các chỉ số đầu vào của các bệnh nhân là tương đồng giữa hai nhóm. Sau 90 ngày theo dõi, 25 bệnh nhân (62,5%) ở nhóm lấy huyết khối trực tiếp đạt đầu ra lâm sàng tốt (mRS 0-2) không khác biệt có ý nghĩa thống kê so với 24 bệnh nhân (60,0%) ở nhóm điều trị bắc cầu (OR = 0,9, 95% KTC từ 0,4 tới 2,2, p = 0,82). Tái thông thành công (TICI 2b-3) đạt được ở 90% bệnh nhân trong mỗi nhóm (OR = 1,0, 95% KTC từ 0,2 tới 4,3, p = 1,00). Không có sự khác biệt có ý nghĩa thống kê về tỷ lệ chuyển dạng chảy máu hay tỷ lệ tử vong. Các kết quả trong nghiên cứu này của chúng tôi gợi ý không có sự khác biệt có ý nghĩa thống kê về tính an toàn và hiệu quả của phương pháp lấy huyết khối trực tiếp so với phương pháp điều trị bắc cầu tiêu chuẩn.

Ogni azienda che si riconosca socialmente responsabile deve occuparsi dello sviluppo delle carriere dei propri dipendenti da due punti di vista: quello individuale e personale e quello professionale. La carriera all’interno di un’azienda coinvolge, infatti, la persona in quanto individuo con un proprio carattere e una precisa identità e la persona in quanto lavoratore con un bagaglio specifico di conoscenze e competenze. L’azienda ha, quindi, il compito di promuovere carriere professionalmente stimolanti che si sviluppino in linea con i suoi stessi valori, la sua visione e la sua missione. Nel panorama moderno, aziende che sviluppano la propria idea di business nel rispetto dei lavoratori proponendo loro un percorso di crescita, si mostrano senza dubbio lungimiranti. Un tale approccio, però, non basta a far sì che vengano definite socialmente responsabili. I fattori della Responsabilità Sociale d’Impresa sono infatti numerosi e, ad oggi, uno dei problemi principali da affrontare è quello del progressivo invecchiamento della popolazione. Dal momento che la forza lavoro mondiale sta invecchiando e che si sta rispondendo al problema spostando la linea del pensionamento, tutte le aziende sono obbligate a mantenere le persone il più a lungo possibile attive e motivate a lavoro. L’età è spesso visto come un fattore di diversità e di discriminazione, ma nello sviluppare la mia argomentazione, cercherò di dimostrare che una politica del lavoro che supporti l’idea dell’invecchiamento attivo può trasformare questo fattore da limite in opportunità. Il rispetto degli esseri umani, a prescindere dalle differenze legate all’età, dovrebbe essere uno dei valori fondanti di ogni impresa. Nel primo capitolo della tesi, svilupperò il tema della dignità umana così come è stato concepito a partire dalla filosofia greca fino alla modernità. La dignità intesa come valore ontologico, legato all’essenza dell’uomo, diventerà con Kant il fattore di uguaglianza tra tutti gli esseri viventi, la giustificazione del rispetto reciproco. Il concetto di dignità verrà, poi, definito nel secondo capitolo come il principale valore che deve ispirare l’azione sociale delle imprese, come l’elemento che garantisce il rispetto di ogni dipendente che prima ancora di essere un lavoratore è un essere umano. La dignità è ciò che rende l’essere umano degno di essere considerato un fine in se stesso piuttosto che un mezzo per il raggiungimento di un fine esterno. Nell’era della globalizzazione, dove il denaro è il valore principale, gli esseri umani rischiano di diventare un mezzo al servizio dell’economia. A questo punto, il rispetto della dignità deve divenire il fondamento di un ambiente di lavoro che promuove la crescita e la fioritura dell’essere umano. Nel secondo capitolo cercherò quindi di dimostrare come l’idea di dignità possa promuovere un management “umanistico” centrato sul rispetto dell’essere umano. Un’impresa socialmente responsabile può promuovere il rispetto di ogni lavoratore se fa propri i valori di dignità e uguaglianza. Attraverso la teoria dello Humanistic Management che veicola tali valori, il lavoro diventa un luogo in cui l’uomo può esprimere se stesso, la sua identità, le sue conoscenze e competenze. Inoltre, dal momento che la popolazione sta invecchiando, le aziende devono farsi carico della forza lavoro più anziana, come è emerso sopra. A questo punto, nel terzo capitolo, il concetto della Responsabilità Sociale d’Impresa sarà analizzato nel suo legame con i temi dell’invecchiamento attivo e della diversità sul posto di lavoro. Conosciamo diverse ragioni di differenza a lavoro: genere, cultura, etnia, competenze, ma qui ci concentreremo sul fattore età. È naturale che i lavoratori anziani abbiano un’idea di lavoro diversa da quella dei giovani e che le loro abilità siano differenti. Ma questa diversità non deve essere valutata come migliore o peggiore: essa dipende da fattori che analizzeremo e che l’impresa socialmente responsabile conosce e valorizza per creare un ambiente di lavoro stimolante e collaborativo, eliminando possibili conflitti intergenerazionali. Alcune delle teorie che permettono di raggiungere tali obiettivi sono il Diversity Management e l’Age Management: ogni impresa può promuovere pratiche per valorizzare gli anziani, permettendo loro di rimanere più a lungo attivi e proattivi a lavoro e di condividere le proprie conoscenze e competenze. L’ultimo capitolo della tesi si concentrerà su un caso di azienda italiana che ha sviluppato uno strumento di valorizzazione di collaboratori over 65. Sto parlando della Loccioni, presso cui ho svolto la ricerca applicata e che promuove il progetto Silverzone, un network di persone in pensione che hanno conosciuto l’azienda nel corso della loro carriera e che continuano a collaborare con essa ancora dopo il pensionamento. Per capire l’impatto qualitativo e quantitativo che il progetto ha sull’azienda, ho portato avanti un’analisi qualitativa dei dati ottenuti grazie a due tipi di questionari. Il primo ha visto il coinvolgimento dei 16 managers della Loccioni a cui sono state sottoposte le seguenti domande: 1. Chi sono i silver nella tua area di business? Quali i progetti in cui essi sono coinvolti? 2. Qual è il valore del loro supporto per l’azienda? E, allo stesso tempo, quali sono le difficoltà che possono incontrarsi durante queste collaborazioni? 3. Qual è la frequenza degli incontri con i silver? 4. Perché l’azienda ha bisogno di questo network? Successivamente, ho sottoposto un altro questionario agli 81 silver della rete. Di seguito i dettagli: 1. Qual è il tuo nome? 2. Dove sei nato? 3. Dove vivi? 4. Qual è stato il tuo percorso formativo? 5. Qual è stata la tua carriera professionale? 6. Come e con chi è avvenuto il primo contatto Loccioni? 7. Come sei venuto a conoscenza del progetto Silverzone? 8. Con quali dei collaboratori Loccioni stai lavorando? 9. In quali progetti sei coinvolto? 10. Potresti descrivere il progetto in tre parole? 11. Che significato ha per te fare parte di questa rete? 12. Nella tua opinione, come deve essere il Silver? 13. Che tipo di relazioni hai con i collaboratori Loccioni? 14. Quali dimensioni umane (dono, relazione, comunità, rispetto) e professionali (innovazione, tecnologia, rete) emergono lavorando in questo progetto? Il progetto Silverzone è sicuramente una buona pratica di Age Management per mantenere più a lungo attivi i lavoratori over 65. I progetti in cui i Silver sono coinvolti hanno un importante impatto economico sull’impresa, in termini di investimento ma anche di guadagno. Ad ogni modo, qui la necessità di fare profitto, stando a quanto è emerso dai risultati delle interviste, è subordinata al più alto valore del rispetto dei bisogni umani che diventa garante di un posto di lavoro comfortable, dove si riesce a stringere relazioni piacevoli, collaborative e produttive.

This personal and frank book offers an insider's view on the violent confrontations in Charlottesville during the “summer of hate.” Blending memoir, courtroom drama, and a consideration of the unhealed wound of racism in our society, the book shines a light on the conflict between the value of free speech and the protection of civil rights. The author has spent his career in the thick of these tempestuous and fraught issues, from acting as lead counsel in a famous Supreme Court decision challenging Virginia's law against burning crosses, to serving as co-counsel in a libel suit brought by a fraternity against Rolling Stone magazine for publishing an article alleging that one of the fraternity's initiation rituals included gang rape. The author has also been active as a university leader, serving as dean of three law schools and president of one and railing against hate speech and sexual assault on US campuses. Well before the tiki torches cast their ominous shadows across the nation, the city of Charlottesville sought to relocate the Unite the Right rally; the author was approached to represent the alt-right groups. Though the author declined, he came to wonder what his history of advocacy had wrought. Feeling unsettlingly complicit, the author joined the Charlottesville Task Force, and realized that the events that transpired there had meaning and resonance far beyond a singular time and place. Why, he wonders, has one of our foundational rights created a land in which such tragic clashes happen all too frequently?

The Enlightenment remains widely associated with the rise of scientific progress and the loss of religious faith, a dual tendency that is thought to have contributed to the disenchantment of the world. In her wide-ranging and richly illustrated book, Tili Boon Cuillé questions the accuracy of this narrative by investigating the fate of the marvelous in the age of reason. Exploring the affinities between the natural sciences and the fine arts, Cuillé examines the representation of natural phenomena—whether harmonious or discordant—in natural history, painting, opera, and the novel from Buffon and Rameau to Ossian and Staël. She demonstrates that philosophical, artistic, and emotional responses to the "spectacle of nature" in eighteenth-century France included wonder, enthusiasm, melancholy, and the "sentiment of divinity." These "passions of the soul," traditionally associated with religion and considered antithetical to enlightenment, were linked to the faculties of reason, imagination, and memory that structured Diderot's Encyclopédie and to contemporary theorizations of the sublime. As Cuillé reveals, the marvelous was not eradicated but instead preserved through the establishment and reform of major French cultural institutions dedicated to science, art, religion, and folklore that were designed to inform, enchant, and persuade.

Frustrated with their lack of autonomy while in foster care, Titi, Matty, and Plato left care immediately on their 18th birthday. Plato graduated high school before doing so, but Titi and Matty did not complete high school. Solana and Jaden wanted to take advantage of the supports provided in extended foster care (i.e., stipends, housing, and bus passes). Jaden remained in care, living in a supervised living apartment, and started attending community college. Solana remained in care and started working on her GED. All youth experiences significant instability and had little support during this time.

This chapter explores how activist filmmaker Habiba Djahnine creates an Algerian memory film with her 2006 documentary Lettre à ma soeur/Letter to My Sister. It examines how Djahnine uses aspects of the performative documentary mode for personal and autobiographical explorations of Algerian history and culture, creating a personal and political memory-narrative that acts as a posthumous response to a letter written to her by her sister Nabila before her assassination on 15 February 1995 in Tizi Ouzou, Algeria. Konuyla ilgili tartışmalarda kavramlar genel olarak birbirleriyle bağlantılı ele alınmakta ve bu kavramların analizi, konu üzerine çalışan her yazarın kendi bakış açısı çerçevesinde farklı biçimlerde analiz edilmektedir. Ancak birçok farklı bakış açısına rağmen, konuyla ilgili kaynakların neredeyse tamamında ulus devlet, uluslaşma ve milliyetçilik Batı Avrupa’daki sosyo-ekonomik ve politik gelişmelerin sonucu ortaya çıkan ve birbiriyle bağlantılı hatta birbirlerini tamamlayan olgular olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Zamanla dünyanın her yerine yayılan ulus-devlet ve milliyetçilik, genel olarak “gelişmiş ülke” tipi ve “gelişmekte olan ülke” tipi şeklinde iki ana model çerçevesinde tanımlanmıştır. Perkütan radyolojik uygulamalar, hastanın yaşı, ek hastalık varlığı, lezyonun tipi, büyüklüğü, lokalizasyonu gibi türlü parametreler değerlendirilerek dikkatle karar verilmesi ve uygulanması gereken girişimsel iş- lemlerdir. Tedavi seçenekleri, multidisipliner bir sağlık ekibi tarafından kişiselleştirilerek plan- lanmalıdır.

Isı değiştiricileri günlük yaşamın ve endüstrinin büyük ihtiyaç duyduğu, ısı transferi ve akışkanlar mekaniği prensiplerine dayalı olarak çalışan, yapılan Ar-Ge çalışmaları üzerine her geçen gün geliştirilen kavramlardır. Bu çalışmada, daha çok endüstriyel kullanıma uygun bir ısı değiştiricisi türü olan gövde boru tipi ısı değiştiricisinin analizleri hem teorik olarak hem de simülasyonel olarak yapılmıştır. Hesaplamalarda gövde borulu ısı değiştiricilerinde sıklıkla kullanılan ve çeşitli akış parametrelerini göz önünde bulunduran Bell-Delaware metodu kullanılmıştır. Bunun yanında ısıl performans analizi için ε-NTU yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Ayrıca teorik hesaplamalar kısmında sırf bu çalışma için Bell-Delaware yöntemine göre hesaplama yapabilen bir bilgisayar programı MATLAB dili kullanılarak yazılmış ve araştırma içerisinde kullanılmıştır. Son olarak CAD verileri oluşturulmuş ve SolidWorks Flow Simulation ortamında analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çıktılar ivedilikle incelenmiş ve sonuç olarak ortaya bir maliyet analizi çıkartılmıştır.

According to the EU 2020 strategy, one of the objectives for Romania in the field of education is that at least 40% of the population aged 30 to 34 years to complete tertiary education (university and non-university). In 2013-2014 only 23.8 % of the population is in this situation and the goal set was to reach 26.7%. Due to the fact that the number of pre-university students is estimated to decrease by 40% between 2005 and 2025, the number of traditional students is also declining. Second chance education could be considered as a solution to tackle the discrepancy between the policy goal and the real trend observed in the last few years, and eLearning appears to be an appropriate medium to encourage non-traditional students to enrol for further education and successful finish tertiary education. In Romania, only about 60% of universities are involving eLearning solutions in their current education offer. On the other hand, for the moment being, there is no Romanian HEI offering full eLearning study programs. However, there is a great diversity in Romania combining face-to-face with elements of bended learning and eLearning. Romanian universities have always been concerned with ethical aspects of their activities and many of them adopted codes of moral or ethical conduct. In some universities the principles of ethical conduct are implicit provisions of their charts or mission statements (e.g. Transilvania University of Brasov or West University of Timi?oara). As the practice of eLearning is becoming increasingly applicable in the study programs offered by Romanian universities, the ethical dimensions of the student-teacher relationship and the responsibility for the quality of learning outcomes turns into a real challenge: - Students for cheating and plagiarism attempts; - Professors for their responsibility in quality assurance of the educational resources for eLearners; - Students and professors for their co-responsibility for the quality and relevance of the eLearning outcomes. As the Romanian society perceives high corruption in individual and institutional behaviour, the ethical challenges in the field of higher education merit a closer attention. Another strong argument is offered by the frequent complaints of plagiarism in doctoral theses, which let us understand that in lower levels of higher education there are also practices against the code of ethical conduct adopted in HEIs. In this context, examples of good practice in overcoming ethical shortages in the provision of eLearning and in the evaluation of the learners should become a focus point in preparing for enhanced eLearning and blended learning (UK, etc). The purpose of this article is to analyse the status quo of the ethical challenges in the provision of eLearning by Romanian HEIs and to suggest recommendations to solve existing or potential ethical problems in the delivery of blended and or eLearning programs.

İki ya da daha fazla akarsuyun birleşmesiyle oluşan akarsu kavşakları, akış ağlarında sıklıkla karşılaşılan bir oluşum olup, kollardaki su seviyesinin yükselmesi gibi akış koşullarının değişmesi ve buna bağlı olarak taşkın hasarlarına ve ekonomik kayıplara neden olabileceğinden incelenmesi gereken bir konudur. Bu kapsamda, İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi’nde mevcut dikdörtgen kesitli birbirine 90° açıyla bağlanan 1 m genişliğinde simetrik iki yan kola sahip ve 2 m genişliğinde ve 18 m uzunluğunda açık kanaldan oluşan simetrik akarsu kavşağı üzerinde deneyler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yan kollardan birinde taban eşitsizliği 12 cm’lik bir yükselti ile sağlanmıştır. Deneylerde sağ kol debisi 15 l/s, taban eşitsizliğine sahip sol kol debisi 20 l/s’dir. Mansap derinlikleri 15 cm ve 25 cm olacak şekilde mansap kapağı ayarlanmış ve akım derinlikleri ölçümü kanal eksenlerinde, akım yönünde ana kanalda kavşaktan mansaba kadar 50 cm, yan kollarda membadan kavşağa kadar 25 cm arayla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, yan kollardaki ve ana kanaldaki su seviyeleri mevcut raylı sistem üzerine monte edilmiş limnimetre yardımıyla elde edilmiştir. Her iki deney için su yüzeyi profili elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen deneysel sonuçlar uniform olmayan akım tiplerinden H2 tipi için su yüzeyi profili sayısal olarak çözülmüş ve karşılaştırılmıştır. Sayısal ve deneysel sonuçların akarsu kavşağı mansabında uyum içinde olduğu görülmüştür.

Introduction: Empowerment of simulations in emergent situations by resident medical interns has positively demonstrated the acquisition of clinical skills [1]. Even so, it remains unclear what psychological factors influence when assuming leadership in carrying out these simulations or in a real situation. This study aims to analyse, by simulating critical situations in the operating room, the influence of training and personality among anaesthesiology residents on the predisposition to assume such leadership Materials and Methods: A study was carried out on 22 residents both trained (11) and untrained in simulation, assessing their personality and degree of stress using the Typi and Stay Trait. By observation it was determined that he was the leader, when entering a simulated model of ventricular fibrillation in pairs. Resolution capacity was not valued, but rather the characteristics that define the personality of the resident who assumed leadership. Results: Regarding personality, measured with the TIPI test, the leaders turned out to score high in agreeableness but low in extraversion compared to the helpers. This suggests that they are altruistic, compassionate, trusting, frank, empathic and sensitive to others and on the other hand reserved, socially distant except with close friends. In the trained group, the Stai Trait test revealed a slightly lower mean in helpers compared to the total mean, in addition to a significantly higher SD in leaders (4.57) than in helpers (2.87), obtaining a p> 0.02. In Stai Estado, the opposite occurred in terms of the averages, lower in the group of leaders with respect to the global average. And a very similar SD was obtained in both groups (4.91 and 4.21). In the TIPI test, the leading group stands out with a low score in extraversion, compared to the total mean and compared to assistants, justified data with a p>0.02. Conclusion: The residents of the trained group turned out to have lower anxiety in the stressful situation of the simulation compared to the other group. In addition, the women who turned out to be leaders in the trained group demonstrated control of the situation with lower HRs than the leaders in the untrained group, thus demonstrating the influence of training in resolving critical situations.
