Abstract:
ABSTRACTThis study investigates consumer behavior toward healthy beverages and examines the impacts of subjective norms and attitudes toward healthy beverages on the purchase intention of healthy beverage products. In this study, consumers' long-term orientation, health concerns, and Trust in healthy beverage products influenced attitudes toward healthy beverages. It was conducted in Surabaya City, Indonesia, and the sample size consisted of 137 consumers of healthy drinks in Surabaya. Structural Equation Modeling was applied to measure the relationship among the constructs. The results indicated that health concerns and long-term orientation did not influence consumers' attitudes toward healthy beverages. Purchase intention was not affected by health concerns and long-term orientation through Attitude. However, Trust influenced consumers' attitudes toward healthy beverages, and Trust was proven to impact purchase intention with Attitude as the mediating factor. Attitude and subjective norm had a positive relationship toward purchase intention. Keywords: Healthy Beverages, Consumer Behavio, Trust; Attitude, Subjective Norm.

Abstract:
One of the important things which determine the quality of young generation is holistic health, which includes five interrelated dimensions. Unfortunately, young people‟s concern and attitude toward health related matters is still poor. Therefore, this study aimed to look at the effect of psycho-education in adolescent attitudes towards health. It used an experimental research method which involved 26 students on 12th grade at St. Carolus Senior High School Surabaya. Measurement of adolescent attitudes towards health used a questionnaire compiled by the author (Cronbach's Alpha = .922 and KMO & Bartlett’s Test = .717). The results were analyzed using paired sample t-test showed t = - 2.767 and p = .010 which mean an increase in adolescent's attitude to health after the psycho-education was given. In general, it can be concluded that psycho-education could be a potential alternative method to enhance adolescents' attitude towards health.

Abstract:
The effectiveness of a three-day AIDS education course conducted for health workers was assessed by means of change scores measured on a Knowledge and Attitudes scale. A control group design was used and a follow-up was conducted one month after completion of the course. The results indicated that the course was effective in producing significant change on the dimensions of ‘Attitudes to Homosexuals' and ‘Attitudes to black Sexuality’. There was no significant change in ‘Attitudes to AIDS’ or ‘Knowledge of AIDS’. These results were confirmed at the one-month follow-up. The results suggest that time-limited education programmes can be effective in producing attitude change in health professionals in relation to AIDS-associated patients and groups.

Abstract:
Background: chronic and acute pain are extremely common, particularly among hospitalizes surgical patients, cancer patients, and general medical inpatients. More than half of patients report significant pain. The knowledge and attitude of health professionals toward pain management have frequently been described as inadequate. The purpose of this study was to investigate the attitudes and knowledge of nurses working in health care regarding pain management. Methods: The Nurses' Knowledge and Attitudes Regarding Pain Survey was used in a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional design to examine nurses' perception (knowledge and attitude) about pain. We focused on the nursing field to assess nurses' perceptions of pain management. This study included a convenience sample of 200 nurses from hospitals. Results: Participants who scored 75% were thought to have poor knowledge and an abnormal attitude. Participants with a score of more than 75% were deemed to have adequate knowledge and a positive attitude. According to the findings of the study, the knowledge and attitude percentage means of correct answers about pain management were 61% (SD: 11.97%; 95% CI 59.33-62.6%). Inadequate knowledge and attitude were present in 89.5% of all participants, while adequate knowledge and attitude were present in 10.5%. Previous experience with pain management education was statistically significant (p 0.05). Conclusion and Recommendation: According to the findings of this study, nurses have insufficient knowledge and attitudes toward pain management. Younger nurses had a more positive attitude toward pain management than older nurses. Pain management education influences both knowledge and attitude. There is a need for innovative training approaches. Pain management education is an important part of the nursing orientation program and should be offered all year to all nurses. The NKASRP should be used as a baseline and follow-up measure to explore and test new evidence-based approaches to pain management among nurses.

Abstract:
Purpose Measuring attitudes of healthcare providers and managers toward change in health care organizations (HCOs) has been of widespread interest. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the psychometric characteristics and usability of an abbreviated German version of the Change Attitude Scale. Design/methodology/approach The Change Attitude Scale was used in a survey of healthcare providers and managers in German hospitals after the implementation of a breast cancer center concept. Reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling and bivariate analysis were conducted. Findings Data from 191 key persons in 82 hospitals were analyzed. The item-scale structure produced an acceptable model fit. Convergent validity was shown by significant correlations with measures of individuals’ general opinions of the breast center concept. A non-significant correlation with a scale measuring the hospital’s hierarchical structure of leadership verified discriminant validity. The interaction of key persons’ change attitude and hospitals’ change performance through change culture as a mediator supported the predictive validity. Research limitations/implications The study found general support for the validity and usability of a short version of the German Change Attitude Scale. Practical implications Since attitudes toward change influence successful implementation, the survey may be used to tailor the design of implementation programs and to create a sustainable culture of high readiness for change. Originality/value This is the first study finding that a short instrument can be used to measure attitudes toward change among healthcare providers and managers in HCOs.

Abstract:
The aim was to investigate whether social skills’ training (SST) influences attitudes towards communication skills learning and to validate the Communication Skills Attitudes Scale (CSAS) among students of health studies in the Republic of Croatia. SST (10 workshops) was implemented for this purpose. Seventy 1st year students in four Croatian university health studies were randomly selected to take part in the training and 169 students were part of the control group. CSAS was administered at the beginning and end of training to both groups. The results indicated good metric characteristics in relation to CSAS and its two-factor structure (positive attitude scale and negative attitude scale). Furthermore, we did not record significant changes in attitudes towards communication skills learning in both groups. However, pursuant to average results from the subscales attitudes towards communication skills learning, we noticed that negative attitudes tend to decrease and positive tend to increase. This indicates that 10 workshops might have been insufficient in order to change attitudes. Keywords: validation, communication and social skills, training

Abstract:
This study investigated intentions and self-efficacy of physically active university students towards healthy eating. The application of Planned Behavior theory has shown that attitudes, intention, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms play an important role in shaping people's behavior. 96 students, who participated in physical activities, voluntarily completed the Questionnaire for the Planned Behavior Model and the Health Behavior Questionnaire. The former examines attitudes, intentions, perceived behavioral control, and the lately added attitude strength, and role identity towards the behavior factors. The latter assesses one's efficacy expectations towards healthy eating. The regression showed strong associations between the examined variables, signifying that attitudes, perceived behavioral control, and role identity could account for one's intention towards healthy eating behaviors. On the other hand, one's self-efficacy for healthy eating could be explained from the attitudes, intention, perceived behavioral control, and attitude strength held. Overall, systematic participation in physical activities appeared to be accompanied with a relatively healthier diet, while self-efficacy had a significant association with maintaining the healthy eating behaviors. Possible interpretations, limitations, and implications for health professionals are discussed.

Abstract:
Knowing professionals’ attitudes is the basis for the development of skills for dealing with drug dependence. These attitudes may affect patients’ clinical safety and the cost-benefit ratio of the interventions. The goal of this study was to assess emergency and mental health nurses’ attitudes and perceptions towards alcoholics. A multicenter prospective descriptive study was conducted in six hospitals with 167 emergency and mental health nurses. Nurses classified alcoholics as sick individuals, although there was a tendency to feel uncomfortable working with them. Results indicated that these professionals had a rejecting attitude towards moderate alcohol consumption. It found that there was a significant association between the attitude of the nurse and gender, with the degree of rejection towards the alcoholic being higher in men than in women, and with less punitive attitudes in professionals with 0 to 11 years of professional experience.

Abstract:
Background Virtual communities of practice (VCoPs) have been shown to be an effective means for knowledge and research uptake, but little is known about why health care workers choose to use them. The elaboration likelihood model (ELM) is a theoretical model of persuasion that distinguishes between different routes of information processing that influence attitude formation and change. To date, no research has investigated the antecedents to these processing routes for VCoPs within a health care setting. In understanding these determinants, VCoPs can be appropriately designed to increase their chances of use and value among health care professionals. Objective Our aim is to explore how motivation and ability affect attitudes toward using VCoPs for those working in health care. Methods Data were collected from 86 health care workers using an online survey at two Canadian health care conferences. Participants were shown a mock VCoP and asked about their perceptions of the online platform and related technologies. The survey instrument was developed based on previously validated scales to measure participants’ ability and motivation toward using a VCoP. Attitudes were assessed both at the beginning and end of the study; intention to use the platform was assessed at the end. Results Ability (expertise with CoPs and VCoPs) was found to directly affect intention to use the system (P<.001 and P=.009, respectively) as was motivation (P<.001). Argument quality had the greatest effect on formed attitudes toward VCoPs, regardless of the user’s level of experience (lower expertise: P=.04; higher expertise: P=.003). Those with higher levels of CoPs expertise were also influenced by peripheral cues of source credibility (P=.005 for attitude formation and intention to use the system) and connectedness (P=.04 for attitude formation; P=.008 for intention to use the system), whereas those with lower levels of CoP expertise were not (P>.05). A significant correlation between formed attitude and intention to use the VCoPs system was found for those with higher levels of expertise (P<.001). Conclusions This research found that both user ability and motivation play an important and positive role in the attitude toward and adoption of health care VCoPs. Unlike previous ELM research, evidence-based arguments were found to be an effective messaging tactic for improving attitudes toward VCoPs for health care professionals with both high and low levels of expertise. Understanding these factors that influence the attitudes of VCoPs can provide insight into how to best design and position such systems to encourage their effective use among health care professionals.

Abstract:
Parents are responsible for their children’s health care, and their oral health-related knowledge, attitude, and habits can affect their children’s oral health. Aim: The objective of this study was to evaluate parents’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding their children’s oral health. Methods: In this study, a sample of 398 parents of 4- to 6-year-old children completed a self-designed questionnaire. The parents’ oral health-related knowledge, attitudes, and practices were assessed. Children’s oral health was evaluated using decayed, missing, and filled tooth index (dmft). Data were analyzed using the SPSS version 23.0 with a p < 0.05 as statistically significant. Categorical data were reported as frequency (%), and continuous data were reported as mean ± SD. Moreover, Spearman’s correlation, multiple regression, Mann-Whitney test, Kruskal Wallis test, and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test were used. Results: Most of the parents had a satisfactory level of knowledge and positive attitudes regarding their children’s oral health. The knowledge and attitude scores were higher among parents with higher education (p<0.001), and the knowledge score was higher among mothers (p=0.004). Also, the attitude score was correlated with the number of decayed, missed, and filled teeth of children (p=0.01, p=0.04, and p=0.007, respectively). However, there was no significant relationship between dmft and the parents’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices using multiple regression. The mean dmft of children was 6.86 ± 3.56, and most of the parents had poor oral health-related practices. Conclusion: The parents’ level of knowledge and attitudes were satisfactory, but they had poor oral health practices. Moreover, there was no significant relationship between children’s oral health and their parents’ level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices. Educating programs and strategies are needed to enhance parents’ oral health-related attitudes and knowledge and, more importantly, change their oral health practices.

Abstract:
Health communication has become important after two years of the world experiencing Covid 19. The quality of healthy life in the community is important. New media make good information about maintaining health. However, because of the long period of being in normal healthy conditions, many new media accounts provide incorrect health information. The research question is how effective is health communication in the content of its messages in the new media about health in the post-pandemic period against the healthy living attitudes of its followers? The purpose of the study was to find out health communication in the content of its messages in new media about health in the post-pandemic period towards the healthy living attitudes of its followers. The concepts of health communication, healthy living attitudes, and previous research support this research. Health communication has the dimensions of interpersonal communication and mass communication. A healthy life attitude has cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. This research method uses quantitative by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The validity and reliability of the measuring instrument is valid and reliable so that it can be continued to the next statistical analysis. The results of descriptive research are of good value to all dimensions, both health communication variables and attitude variables. The analysis of the next two variables is that both have strong effectiveness. The interplay of both variables is considered strong according to the applicable standards according to some literature. This means that the effect of health communication in new media is effective in influencing the life attitudes of the Indonesian people. So the alternative hypothesis of this study is accepted, and the null hypothesis is rejected. The results of this study are related to previous studies. So that it can be utilized by subsequent research and health communication academics. Research suggestions can be developed from other theoretical perspectives and use other methods to enrich the development of health communication studies.

Abstract:
Previous evaluations have reported racial minorities feel they are at greater risk of contracting COVID-19, but that on average, they have better preventative practices, such as wearing face masks and avoiding large gatherings. In this study, we explored associations between social determinants of health (SDOH), race and ethnicity, COVID-19 practices and attitudes, and mental health outcomes during the pandemic. We examined associations between SDOHs and practices, attitudes, and mental health symptoms by race and ethnicity using multivariable linear and logistic regressions in 8582 Arkansan pulse poll respondents (September—December, 2020). Compared to White respondents, mean attitude and practice scores were greater (indicating safer) among Black (4.90 vs. 3.45 for attitudes; 2.63 vs. 2.41 for practices) and Hispanic respondents (4.26 vs. 3.45 for attitudes; 2.50 vs. 2.41 for practices). Respondents’ SDOH scores by race/ethnicity were: White (3.65), Black (3.33), and Hispanic (3.22). Overall, attitude and practice scores decreased by 0.35 and 0.09, respectively, for every one-point increase in SDOH. Overall, a one-point increase in SDOH was associated with 76% and 85% increased odds of screening negative for anxiety and depression, respectively. To conclude, underlying social inequities are likely driving safer attitudes, practices, and worse anxiety and depression symptoms in Black and Hispanic Arkansans. In terms of policy implications, our study supports the urgency of addressing SDOHs for rural states similar to Arkansas.

Abstract:
This research paper explores the profound influence of attitudes on human lifestyle choices and behaviors. Attitudes, as cognitive, emotional, and behavioral predispositions, play a pivotal role in shaping how individuals perceive, interact with, and adapt to their surroundings. This study employs a multidisciplinary approach to investigate the intricate connections between attitudes and lifestyle across various domains, including health, education, career, and social relationships. The research draws from a diverse body of literature, encompassing psychology, sociology, economics, and health sciences, to analyze the intricate interplay between attitude formation, maintenance, and the resulting lifestyle outcomes. We investigate how individual attitudes, whether positive or negative, impact decision-making processes and the adoption of healthy or unhealthy behaviors. Additionally, this paper explores the role of social and cultural factors in shaping attitudes and, subsequently, lifestyle choices. The research findings highlight that attitudes significantly influence lifestyle choices, including diet and exercise, substance use, educational pursuits, career decisions, and interpersonal relationships. Attitude change interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, are examined for their effectiveness in promoting positive lifestyle changes. Furthermore, the study delves into the broader societal implications of attitudes, shedding light on the potential for public health initiatives and policy interventions to encourage more favorable attitudes and, in turn, healthier lifestyles. Understanding the intricate relationship between attitudes and lifestyle is critical for promoting overall well-being, reducing health disparities, and fostering positive societal changes. By examining the impact of attitudes on human lifestyle comprehensively, this research contributes valuable insights that can inform the development of targeted interventions and strategies aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals and communities.

Based on the results of basic health research in 2013 about 2,386,323 adolescents experience emotional mental disorders. Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood lasting between 10-19 years during which physical, sexual, and mental changes occur. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship of knowledge with adolescent mental health attitudes at SMKN Wonosalam. Mental health is an emotional, psychological, and socially healthy state seen from satisfying interpersonal relationships. Effective behavior and coping, positive self-concept, and emotional stability. The methods used are quantitative methods, descriptive design of correlations and cross sectional approaches with stratified random sampling techniques obtained by 169 respondents. The results of the univariate analysis showed that 59.8% of respoden had a good knowledge of mental health and 42% of the respondents' mental health attitudes were negative. The results of bivariate analysis using chi-square showed a knowledge relationship with adolescent mental health attitudes at SMKN Wonosalam (p value 0.018).Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Mental Health, Adolescents.Â

Abstract:
(1) Background: Nurses’ attitudes toward electronic health records (EHRs) is a very valuable issue that needs to be evaluated, understood, and considered one of the main factors that can lead to its improvement or handicap its implementation. This study aimed to assess nurses’ attitudes toward EHRs and associated factors that affect the implementation of EHRs in different hospitals in Saudi Arabia. (2) Methods: A cross-sectional study was utilized to collect data from 297 nurses working in public hospitals and primary healthcare centers in Ha’il Province from January to May 2023. Data were collected using the Nurses’ Attitudes Towards Computerization questionnaire and a sociodemographic and work-related characteristics sheet. (3) Results: Most of the participants’ attitude scores (81.1%, n = 241) were more than or equal to 60, representing positive attitudes, whereas 18.9% (n = 56) of the nurses’ scores were less than 60, which is interpreted as negative attitudes. There was a significant relationship between nurses’ attitudes toward EHRs and a participants’ sex, where males had a more positive attitude than females (p < 0.001). Particularly, young nurses and those who had previous computer experience had a more positive attitude than older nurses and those who had no computer experience (p = 0.044 and < 0.001, respectively). Saudi nurses holding a master’s degree had significantly more positive attitudes toward EHRs than non-Saudi nurses holding a bachelor’s or diploma degree (p = 0.007 and 0.048, respectively). Nurses with less experience (less than five years) in the nursing field had a significantly positive attitude. Multiple linear regression showed that sex (p = 0.038), level of education (p = 0.001), and previous computer experience (p < 0.001) were independent factors of nurses’ knowledge of EHRs. (4) Conclusion: The majority of nurses had positive overall attitudes toward using EHRs. Nurses who are Saudi nationals, male, younger, have previous computer experience, and have less than five years of experience had a more positive attitude toward EHRs than nurses who are non-Saudi, female, older, have no computer experience, have bachelor’s or diploma degree, and have less than five years of experience, respectively. Sex, education level, and previous computer experience were independent factors of nurses’ knowledge of EHRs.

Abstract:
Adolescents’ attitudes predict sexual behavior; therefore, attitudes are targeted in sexually transmitted infection (STI) and pregnancy prevention programs. However, attitudes and behaviors do not always align. Young adolescents who have had penile vaginal intercourse (PVI) and have attitudes supportive of PVI have two risk factors for future health risks while those with attitudes in conflict with PVI experience (i.e., attitudes not supportive of PVI) only have one risk factor, that is, early sexual debut. Rural sixth- to eighth-grade students in southern, central Florida who had PVI experience ( N = 162) completed surveys about their sexual history, substance use, PVI refusal skills, and PVI attitudes. Logistic regressions found that longer time since PVI, never trying other drugs, and better PVI refusal skills predicted higher odds of attitude-behavior conflict; thus, youth with attitude-behavior conflicts have fewer predictors of sexual health risk than those without attitude-behaviors conflicts. Those without attitude-behaviors conflicts likely need more focused and intensive interventions.

Abstract:
This study investigated knowledge, attitudes, and preventive efforts of Malaysian college students regarding health risks associated with passive smoking, as well as possible directions for intervention and health education programs. Students responded anonymously to a structured written questionnaire. Statistical analyses were conducted to examine (1) differences in knowledge, attitudes, and preventive efforts between smokers and nonsmokers and between men and women; (2) the relationship between smoking by parents, siblings, and friends, and students' knowledge, attitudes, and preventive efforts; and (3) relationships between knowledge, attitudes, and preventive efforts. Peer groups and siblings had a substantial influence on students' attitudes toward passive smoking and their preventive efforts when exposed to passive smoke. A regression analysis revealed a statistically significant linear dependence of preventive efforts on knowledge and attitudes, with the attitude component playing the dominant role. This research suggests that educational efforts on passive smoking, directed toward young college students in developing countries such as Malaysia, should concentrate heavily on changing attitudes and reducing the effects of peer group and sibling influences.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to determine the knowledge and attitudes toward mental health conditions of Pharmacy Interns in Specialized Hospital, and the role of demographic characteristics needs to be considered when investigating stigma and its relationship to mental health knowledge. Finally, align and formulate programs for Pharmacy Internship in Specialized Hospital to strengthen the positive attitudes and mitigate the negative attitudes toward mental health further. The Mental Illness: Clinician's Attitudes Scale (Medical Student Version MICA-2) and the Mental Health Knowledge Schedule (MAKS) were completed by 25 Pharmacy Interns of Specialized Hospitals. Descriptive statistics were done to describe differences in demographic characteristics. Parametric Test Pearson R was used to assess the relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of Pharmacy Interns. The Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was the test used to compare the variations in total scores between MICA and MAKS based on various demographic factors. This study revealed that pharmacy interns of specialized hospitals have a generally positive attitude and are knowledgeable about mental health conditions. In this study, having more mental health knowledge correlates with a less stigmatizing attitude. There was a significant difference in the attitude of Pharmacy Interns when grouped according to their educational attainment. As a recommendation, evaluation after the Pharmacy Internship through MICA and MAKS can be done. Also, Specialized Hospitals should consider implementing intervention programs to advance mental health knowledge and positive attitudes among Pharmacy Interns.

Abstract:
Background: Obesity is a serious public health problem especially among adolescents. Understanding adolescents’ attitudes toward obesity and healthy lifestyle is a crucial step to develop effective health programs to treat and prevent obesity. Objectives: To examine the attitudes toward overweight and obesity among Jordanian adolescent students and to identify the components of obesity prevention program that the students perceive as important. Methods: A sample of 1000 students in 8th to 10th grades was randomly selected from 16 schools in Irbid, Jordan. A self-reported questionnaire including attitude related questions was used in a descriptive, cross-sectional study. Results: Generally, the students expressed positive attitudes toward obesity; which means that their attitudes were consistent with societal norms in terms of health and social functioning (mean= 3.5, SD=0.39). Furthermore, the students expressed positive attitudes toward lifestyle; which means that their attitudes were consistent with healthy behaviors (mean=3.7, SD=0.58). However, boys had significantly more positive attitudes than girls (p=0.04). The prevalence of overweight and obesity was 23.8%, while obese and non-obese students had similar attitudes toward lifestyle and obesity. Finally, around 20% to 30% of students desired a prevention program out of school time shared with their families and friends and involves eating healthy food and getting more exercise. Conclusion: More efforts are needed to build effective obesity prevention programs that focus on eating healthy diet and getting more exercise considering gender differences.

Abstract:
Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between family health, family health, and parenting attitudes of fathers with early childhood children. Methods As for the research method, data were collected using the father's original family health, family health, and parenting attitude test tools, and after conducting a preliminary survey of 10 fathers, the main survey was conducted. A questionnaire was distributed to fathers of kindergarten students in K city, Gyeonggi-do, and a total of 244 fathers were studied, excluding 28 unfaithful out of 272 collected questionnaires. For the analysis method, descriptive statistical analysis and Pearson correlation analysis were performed using SPSS 26. Results As a result of the study, the father’s family of origin health, the family health, then parenting attitudes of Fathers were found. This can be interpreted to mean that the father perceives the current family relationship positively and perceives it as a positive experience with the family of origin. On the other hand, the parenting attitude is relatively low, suggesting the need to supplement the child rearing attitude. As a result of examining the relationship between father's family health, family health, and parenting attitude, each factor showed a positive correlation. The relationship between sub-factors generally showed a positive correlation, but the controlling attitude showed a negative correlation. This can be interpreted that fathers with high control attitude scores have low family health and family health scores. Conclusions It was found that the parenting attitude of fathers with young children has an important relationship between the health of the family of origin and the health of the family. This suggests that it is necessary to expand fathers' participation in educational institutions for active participation of fathers and the formation of desirable parenting attitudes. Finally, the results of this study are meaningful as basic data for data development for fathers.

Abstract:
Improving communication and engagement with the public is vital for implementing sustainable development goals (SDGs). Public attitude toward SDGs can influence this engagement, as people are more likely to accept SDG-relevant information and take actions that are consistent with their own attitudes. This study examines the determinants for individual attitudes in supporting SDGs and further explores the formation of public attitudes toward SDGs, i.e., how public attitude is shaped by the value orientations and norms of the individuals. Using an online survey (n = 3089), we uncovered several important findings: (1) individuals’ altruistic/biospheric value orientations are positively associated with pro-SDG attitudes; (2) personal norms mediate the relationship of individuals’ altruistic values and attitudes; (3) some demographic characteristics (i.e., age, gender, having children) moderate the relationship of people’s value orientations and attitudes; and (4) people’s biospheric values have heterogeneous effects on their pro-SDG attitudes based on education and income. Through these findings, this study enhanced the public’s general understanding of SDGs by providing a holistic analytical framework of public attitude formation on SDGs and uncovering the significant role of value orientations. We further identify the moderating effects of demographic characteristics and the mediating effects of personal norms in the relationship between individuals’ values and attitude on SDGs.

Abstract:
Consumer interest towards healthy food is driving the growth of the organic food market because consumers perceive organic food products to improve their personal health. Berries have well-known health benefits and show increasing market shares in European markets. This manuscript investigates for the first time how health attitudes relate to organic consumers’ choices for nutrient labels of organic dried strawberry products. We conducted an online survey with 614 consumers from Norway, Romania, and Turkey. All participants consumed and liked strawberries and purchased organic food at least once a month. Participants filled out attitudinal questionnaires and conducted an experimental choice task featuring paired images of packaged organic dried strawberries varying in nutrients content label and other factors. The pooled sample was split into three groups of varying health attitudes for profiling and choice analysis. The results show that broad variations exist in health attitudes among Norwegian, Romanian, and Turkish organic consumers. A non-linear effect of health attitude is revealed, where a moderate health attitude is more strongly associated with the selection of products with increased nutrients content than either a low or a high health attitude. The results highlight the complexity in targeting nutrition labels to organic consumers. Finally, implications and suggestions for organic food operators are discussed along with future research avenues.

The low support on cross-sectoral commitment of village stakeholders to health programs was one of factors contributed maternal and infant mortality in Tegal Regency. Although village funds have been rolled out since 2015, its implementation hadn’t been optimal due to orientation focus on infrastructure development. The study aims to analyze perceptions and attitudes of village stakeholders towards village level resources and optimizing village funds for MCH programs based on 3 groups stakeholder (Decision Maker, Provider and Clients-Representatives). It’s quantitative research, population of all village level stakeholders with 300 people as samples from 30 selected villages. Data collected with interview using questionnaire and being analyzed with frequency distribution and statistically using Kruskal-Wallis test. Most of three group stakeholders had good perception of their health resources and positive attitude towards MCH programs, but different results were seen for attitudes towards optimizing village funds. Decision Maker group and Clients-Representatives group showed tendency refusing, while Provider group tend to agree on village funds optimizing for MCH programs. Statistically, there were differences in attitudes towards optimizing village funds for MCH program between three groups. Attitude differences was mainly due to lack of understanding from external health stakeholders about health programs, especially village’s MCH program.

Introduction. Education of health science students in geriatrics is important in order to provide optimal care for the growing number of elderly people because it is the attitudes of health professionals toward the elderly that play the key role in the quality of care provided. Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess the knowledge and attitudes of health care science students towards ageing and care for the elderly. Material and Methods. The present cross-sectional study was carried out on a sample of 130 students (medical, nursing and special education and rehabilitation) of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad. The students were divided into two groups. The first group (E) included students having been taught geriatrics and nursing older adults and the other group (C) included students who had not been trained in this subject. The authors used Palmore?s facts on Ageing Quiz for the knowledge evaluation and Kogan?s Attitude toward Older People Scale for the attitude evaluation. Results. The results of Facts on Aging Quiz showed the average level of students? knowledge and statistically significant difference between E and C group. The analysis of Kogan?s Attitudes toward Old People Scale showed that both groups had neutral attitudes toward older people. Furthermore, a positive correlation between students? knowledge and attitudes was found. Conclusion. There is increasing evidence on the correlation between education, knowledge and attitudes toward older people which suggests that by acquiring better insights into all aspects of ageing through their education the students develop more positive attitudes and interest in working with older adults.

Abstract:
This article addresses the psychotherapeutically important phenomenon of relating first-personally to one's own emotion, belief, desire, or other attitude. The fundamental theoretical challenge is to understand how one can relate to one's attitudes as one's attitudes without occupying a position that is alienated from them. Philosophical questions in this area are significantly illuminated by considering certain clinically manifested vicissitudes and pathologies of the first-person. The article interprets the first-person relation in terms of a complex set of functional capacities: the capacity to occupy the subjective perspective of the attitude as conscious subject; the capacity to both self-ascribe the attitude and articulate its content, in ways that are expressive manifestations of the attitude; and various capacities involved in relating to one's state as an attitude. The resultant conception of the first-person stance accommodates a range of clinically significant phenomena and suggests a multidimensional specification of one key aspect of psychological health.

Abstract:
Attitude to health presents the inner mechanism of activity and behavior self-regulation. For a professional athlete positive attitude to health is the base for a successful career. However, the system of a personality’s attitudes is a dynamic construct. It is influenced by many factors, including sports injuries. During the research we tried to describe the peculiarities of health-protecting behavior, including the attitude to health of professional athletes with extremities injuries. In order to define the specific influence of sport as a professional activity we chose athletesamateurs with extremities injuries as the group of comparison. The results of the held research prove that the attitude to health is the main determinant of professional athletes health-protecting behavior and at the same time, it is not included into the model of health –protection of athletesamateurs. It reflects the influence of professional specificity in the system of personality’s attitudes formation.

Abstract:
Increasing interest in healthy habits has created the market for what is commonly called “superfoods.” The goal of this study was to explore Swiss consumers’ initial and final attitudes toward superfoods as well as their change in attitude toward those foods after being provided selected information. A questionnaire survey was conducted to explore the individual traits of the respondents. The attitudes were assessed at the beginning and end of the survey. Four multiple regression analyses were performed. The results showed that consumers perceiving superfoods’ health benefits and expressing an interest in organic foods were associated with initial and positive attitudes. These predictors remained significantly related to the positive attitude at the end of the survey. Sociodemographic predictors (age and place of residence) were significant factors, with older people and individuals who lived in urban centers showing a higher propensity to improve their attitudes toward superfoods. Individuals with lower perceptions about the benefits of superfoods being healthy and lower levels of cultural participation showed a negative attitude change. Given that this study aims to shed light on the variables that influence the behavior of Swiss consumers toward the superfoods trend, it fills a significant gap in the literature.

Abstract:
IntroductionSports-related concussions have attracted greater public health concern as their incidence rises, leading to changes in concussion education and laws protecting athletes. Currently the intramural and club sport programs at Oakland University (OU) (Rochester, Michigan) do not have a concussion education program for its athletes. Therefore, determining the knowledge and attitudes these athletes have towards concussions is essential in determining whether a program is needed. We hypothesized that due to the lack of a concussion education program, athletes at OU do not possess adequate knowledge and harbor unhealthy attitudes towards concussions.MethodsA validated, and reliable concussion knowledge and attitudes survey was identified, modified, and distributed to athletes participating in intramural and club sports at OU's Recreation Center. The responses were scored generating concussion knowledge and attitude scores. Data was analyzed using t-tests to evaluate significant differences between different groups.ResultsOne hundred eight-two of 200 respondents had complete survey data, of which 53.6% were female and 46.4% male; 59.9% participated in intramural sports only, 26.4% in club sports only, and 13.7% in both. The mean overall knowledge and attitude scores were 80.6% and 74.8%, respectively. These scores did not vary by sport participation (p = 0.685; p = 0.51). Female athletes had significantly higher knowledge than male athletes (p = 0.011). Athletes majoring in health science fields had significantly higher knowledge than athletes in non-health science majors (p = 0.006), but similar attitudes (p = 0.697).ConclusionsWhile the results indicate that OU athletes possess some knowledge and generally healthy attitudes, there is room for improvement that could be met with a single concussion education program for both intramural and club sport athletes. Despite having significantly higher knowledge, health science athletes did not display healthier attitudes than non-health science athletes, suggesting that knowledge does not always confer healthier attitudes. Therefore, a concussion education program should emphasize improving athlete concussion attitudes.

Abstract:
Discovering the role of negative attitudes in the social functioning of people with disabilities, tools were developed to measure these attitudes, of which the Multidimensional Attitude Scale of People with Disabilities (MAS) is a good one. It is particularly important to study the attitudes of people who are professionally involved in meeting the needs of people with disabilities. The aim of this study was to determine the attitudes towards people with physical disabilities among medical and health sciences students regarding gender, year of study, field of study, and place of residence. The study was conducted among 625 students in Poland with the use of the MAS-PL scale. The results obtained indicate that women display more positive attitudes towards people with disabilities than men in the cognition and behavioural domains. In the emotional domain, these attitudes were more negative than in the other domains and almost identical for both genders. The year of study, field of study, and place of residence did not differentiate students in terms of their MAS score. Since the sociodemographic variables studied do not determine a positive attitude, educational interventions to increase contact with people with disabilities should be undertaken in future research, and this factor should be investigated as an element of attitude modulation.

Abstract:
AimTo investigate primary health care (PHC) physicians’ attitudes to statistics, their self-reported knowledge level, and their perceived training needs in statistics.BackgroundIn spite of realization of the importance of statistics, inadequacies in physicians’ knowledge and skills have been found, underscoring the need for in-service training. Understanding physicians’ attitudes to statistics is vital in planning statistics training.MethodsThe study was based on theory of planned behavior. A cross-sectional survey of all PHC physicians was conducted in Qassim province, from August to October 2014. Attitudes to statistics were determined by a self-administered questionnaire. The attitudes were assessed on four subscales including general perceptions; perceptions of knowledge and training; perceptions of statistics and evidence-based medicine; and perceptions of future learning.FindingsOf 416 eligible participants, 338 (81.25%) responded to the survey. On a scale of 1–10, the majority (73.6%) of the participants self-assessed their level of statistics knowledge as five or below. The attitude scores could have a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 100, with higher scores showing a positive attitude. The participants showed a positive attitude with the mean score of 71.14 (±7.73). Out of the four subscales, ‘perceptions of statistics and evidence-based medicine’ subscale scored the highest, followed by ‘perceptions of future learning’.ConclusionPHC physicians have a positive attitude to statistics. However, they realize their gaps in knowledge in statistics, and are keen to fill these gaps. Statistics training, resulting in improved statistics knowledge is expected to lead to clinical care utilizing evidence-based medicine, and thus improvement to health care services.

Abstract:
Background: Vulnerable people are at higher risk for ill health and often experience discrimination in health services. Persons with disabilities, People with Dementia (PWD), and People with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) are some groups of people with vulnerabilities who often need hospital care. Nurses are the largest group of health personnel and frequently meet with these patients so that the attitude of nurses can have a consequence on the quality of health care. Research Objectives: To identify nurses' attitudes towards vulnerable people and factors related to their attitudes. Methods: This quantitative research used a cross-sectional design. The research subjects were 386 nurses in the main public Dr. Sardjito hospital selected using a convenience sampling technique. Data were collected in January-February 2021 with a Google Form. Researchers used a demographic data questionnaire, an attitude questionnaire (Attitude Toward Disabled Person Scale Form O, Dementia Attitude Scale, and AIDS Attitude Scale), and a knowledge questionnaire (Self-Administered Questionnaire about Knowledge), Dementia Knowledge Assessment Scale, and HIV-Knowledge Questionnaire-18). Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistical tests, specifically the Spearman rank, Mann-Whitney, and Kruskal-Wallis tests. Results: The score of nurses' attitudes towards persons with disabilities was 54.00 out of 120; the score of nurses' attitudes to PWD was 102.00 out of 140; and the score of nurses' attitudes toward PLWHA was -0.65 out of +5. Knowledge, history of interaction, and experience in caring have a significant effect on nurses' attitudes towards vulnerable people (p value <0.05). The education level only affects the attitudes of nurses towards persons with disabilities (p value = 0.042). Family history only affects nurses' attitudes to PWD (p value = 0.013). Age and special education/training only affect the attitudes of nurses on PWD and PLWHA (p value <0.05). Conclusion: Nurses tend to present positive attitudes toward PWD, but nurses are inclined to show negative attitudes against people with disabilities and PLWHA. Knowledge, caring experience, and interaction are confirmed to have an effect on nurses' attitudes with the result that programs to increase knowledge and experience of nurses towards vulnerable groups are recommended for this group. Abstract:
Computers and computer‐assisted instruction are being used with increasing frequency in the area of health science student education, yet students’ attitudes towards the use of e‐learning technology and computer‐assisted instruction have received limited attention to date. The purpose of this study was to investigate the significant predictors of health science students’ attitudes towards e‐learning and computer‐assisted instruction. All students enrolled in health science programmes (n=2885) at a large multi‐campus Australian university in 2006‐2007, were asked to complete a questionnaire. This included the Online Learning Environment Survey (OLES), the Computer Attitude Survey (CAS), and the Attitude Toward Computer‐Assisted Instruction Semantic Differential Scale (ATCAISDS). A multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine the significant predictors of health science students’ attitudes to e‐learning. The Attitude Toward Computers in General (CASg) and the Attitude Toward Computers in Education (CASe) subscales from the CAS were the dependent (criterion) variables for the regression analysis. A total of 822 usable questionnaires were returned, accounting for a 29.5 per cent response rate. Three significant predictors of CASg and five significant predictors of CASe were found. Respondents’ age and OLES Equity were found to be predictors on both CAS scales. Health science educators need to take the age of students and the extent to which students perceive that they are treated equally by a teacher/tutor/instructor (equity) into consideration when looking at determinants of students’ attitudes towards e‐learning and technology.

Abstract:
Mass media continue to provide important channels for communicating information about personal health. This study aims to describe the knowledge, attitude and behavior of viewers regarding healthy lifestyle; explore whether the portrayals and messages in TV advertisements can influence people’s attitudes and behaviors toward leading a healthy lifestyle; and find out how the viewers’ knowledge, attitudes and behaviors regarding healthy lifestyles vary across subgroups by sex, age and socio-economic status. The paper reports on a survey of 200 prime-time viewers in Quezon City and key informant interviews of 36 prime-time viewers in Metro Manila. Results show that viewers are able to acquire information from the health advertisements that are relevant to them. They have a positive attitude towards these health messages and are willing to adopt some of the aspects of healthy lifestyle portrayed, however this does not translate to willingness to buy the product advertised.

Abstract:
Attitude is a multidimensional and complex notion that considerably empowers or limits the major life activities of humans. Health professionals’ attitudes toward people with disabilities are significant factors in the rehabilitation process. Soon after completing their coursework, the final-year students from health science meet the patients and rehabilitate them. This study accordingly aims to assess the attitude toward disability among final-year health science students before and after administering a disability-specific structured teaching program. A total of 243 final-year undergraduate health science students from medical, dental, physical therapy, pharmacy, laboratory sciences, radiology sciences, and nursing aged between 21 and 27 years participated in this study. This work employed the Scale of Attitudes Toward Disabled Persons (SADP) to measure attitudes among participants. The mean pre- and posttest SADP scores were 83.59 ± 15.45 and 107.83 ± 62, respectively ( p < .001). Students from medical, dental, physical therapy, and nursing showed significant positive attitudes toward disability compared with other students, whereas college students in the final year of health science generally had poor attitudes toward disability. The results indicate that the disability-specific structured teaching program is effective in improving the attitude toward disability among final-year health science students. Accordingly, the authors recommend modifying the disability-related content in the health sciences curriculum.

Abstract:
Abstract This study examined the interaction effect of subjective health and attitude about aging on gerontechnology acceptance among Korean older adults. The sample was 310 Korean older adults aged 65 and above without cognitive impairment who completed an online survey. The dependent variable was the attitude about gerontechnology, especially an exoskeleton robot for exercise. The independent variable was subjective health measured by the questions about self-reported health conditions. The moderating variable was the attitude about aging, which was measured by asking how much they feel less useful as they age. Covariates were age, gender, education level, employment status, income, and marital status. The results from the regression analyses using PROCESS macro and bootstrapping showed that the interaction effect of subjective health and attitude about aging is significant for gerontechnology acceptance; when older adults consider themselves less useful as they age, they tend to have positive attitudes about gerontechnology despite their subjective health. However, of those who consider that they are not less useful as they age, they tend to have positive attitudes about gerontechnology only when they consider themselves unhealthy. Thus, they tend to have negative attitudes about gerontechnology when they consider themselves healthy and useful. The findings imply that gerontechnology-based exercise programs or interventions could be welcomed by those who consider themselves unhealthy and think they are useless as they age. Also, the findings suggest that when applying an intervention program using gerontechnology, health status and self-assessment of aging should be considered in advance.

Abstract:
The aim of the paper was to assess pro-health attitudes of consumers purchasing food in specialist stores. The type and frequency of food purchase was determined and respondents were classified due to pro-health attitude. The research was conducted using personal interview. A total of 190 interviews were gathered. The results showed that for customers of specialist stores, healthiness of consumed food is significant. They pay attention to its ingredients buying natural products with low content of preservatives, less processed. These consumers are willing to pay more for guaranteed quality products. Three clusters of pro-health attitudes representing: 22, 18 and 60% of surveyed population were distinguished. Cluster 1 was represented mostly by men who do not care about the amount of calories consumed and do not interested in knowledge about healthy eating. This group pay attention on purchased food quality, and they are able to pay more for guaranteed quality products. Whereas cluster 2 focused mainly men with moderate pro-health attitudes, not interested in expanding nutrition knowledge. The most-represented cluster of 3 was predominantly women with strong pro-health attitudes, counting consumed calories, seeking and exploring healthy eating knowledge.
