Abstract:
The absorption spectrum of the fundamental band of hydrogen deuteride (λ ≈ 2.7 μm) has been studied in pure HD and in mixtures with krypton at moderate densities (1–45 amagat) and room temperature, using a high-resolution Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. The effects that arise from interference between the allowed dipole transition moments of free HD and the dipoles induced during collisions were studied. For HD–HD collisions, the eight transitions from P1(3) to R1(4) were analyzed to determine line positions, intensities, shift and broadening coefficients, and the phase shift parameters that govern the interference effects. Thus the interference phenomenon was studied over a wider range of initial- and final-J values than previously possible, and the systematic dependence of the phase shifts on transition was determined. For HD–Kr collisions, the R1(0) and R1(1) transitions were examined in detail. The spectrum in the region of R1(1) exhibited a realtively broad underlying "plateau" feature that was shown to be due to the presence of impurity CF4 molecules in the Kr sample.

Abstract:
The B0.2 V magnetic star τ Sco stands out from the larger population of massive OB stars due to its high X-ray activity, peculiar wind diagnostics and highly complex magnetic field. This Letter presents the discovery of the first two τ Sco analogues – HD 66665 and HD 63425, identified by the striking similarity of their ultraviolet (UV) spectra to that of τ Sco. ESPaDOnS spectropolarimetric observations were secured by the Magnetism in Massive Stars CFHT Large Program, in order to characterize the stellar and magnetic properties of these stars. cmfgen modelling of optical ESPaDOnS spectra and archived IUE UV spectra showed that these stars have stellar parameters similar to those of τ Sco. A magnetic field of similar surface strength is found on both stars, reinforcing the connection between the presence of a magnetic field and wind peculiarities. However, additional phase-resolved observations will be required in order to assess the potential complexity of the magnetic fields and verify if the wind anomalies are linked to this property.

Abstract:

In this work, I have studied whether if one can detect AD / HD in preschool. I have read some literature and searched on the Internet. I have also tried to get to interview people who are familiar with this topic, which has not been easy. I have questioned 13 persons if they would participate in an interview, but most have refused because they do not have time. I succeeded anyhow to get three persons, two special educators and a nurse on the BVC. Special Student teachers are working to put the various educational activities in the preschool / school when children are in need of assistance. Children nurse is working with children to look up at the controls as they come in and where they can see if there is something not as it should. The answer I came up with through the literature and interviews is that AD / HD is a neuro-psychiatric disability and is logically divided into three groups that they have to Impulsivity problems, over activity and attention problems. Special Student teachers tell of the symptoms / signs of AD / HD as the first notice are that the children with AD / HD have problems in concentrating in a task. What distinguishes boys from girls is that boys are more hyperactive and ports in more trouble than girls do. Girls are more reclusive and shy and have been easier to become depressed and anxious. It is difficult to detect AD / HD in preschool unless the kids have severe problems with attention, impulsivity and over activity

I also got answer to that one can detect AD / HD if you're looking for it, but it’s not the essential, the important is to support children with AD / HD in the learning and development. Special Student teachers talked a lot of work how to help children in preschool with various educational activities such as solid framework, transparency and daily schedules. They can also work in small groups but that is not always suitable for all children. Then we can bring the children who have problems at the front near the teacher in order to give praise and jacking.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Stellar flares are a frequent occurrence on young low-mass stars around which many detected exoplanets orbit. Flares are energetic, impulsive events, and their impact on exoplanetary atmospheres needs to be taken into account when interpreting transit observations. We have developed a model to describe the upper atmosphere of extrasolar giant planets (EGPs) orbiting flaring stars. The model simulates thermal escape from the upper atmospheres of close-in EGPs. Ionisation by solar radiation and electron impact is included and photo-chemical and diffusive transport processes are simulated. This model is used to study the effect of stellar flares from the solar-like G star HD 209458 and the young K star HD 189733 on their respective planets, HD 209458b and HD 189733b. The Sun is used as a proxy for HD 209458, and is an element of Eridani, as a proxy for HD 189733. A hypothetical HD 209458b-like planet orbiting the very active M star AU Microscopii is also simulated. We find that the neutral upper atmosphere of EGPs is not significantly affected by typical flares on HD 209458 and HD 189733. Therefore, stellar flares alone would not cause large enough changes in planetary mass loss to explain the variations in HD 189733b transit depth seen in previous studies, although we show that it may be possible that an extreme stellar proton event could result in the required mass loss. Our simulations do however reveal an enhancement in electron number density in the ionosphere of these planets, the peak of which is located in the layer where stellar X-rays are absorbed. Electron densities are found to reach 2.2 to 3.5 times pre-flare levels and enhanced electron densities last from about 3 to 10 h after the onset of the flare, depending on the composition of the ionospheric layer. The strength of the flare and the width of its spectral energy distribution affect the range of altitudes in the ionosphere that see enhancements in ionisation. A large broadband continuum component in the XUV portion of the flaring spectrum in very young flare stars, such as AU Mic, results in a broad range of altitudes a ff ected in planets orbiting this star. Indeed, as well as the X-ray absorption layer, the layer in which EUV photons are absorbed is also strongly enhanced.
