Abstract:
Ionitrriding and plasma arc surface quenching are seprately used to harden screw surface for settling the wearing problem of bulking machine extruding screw during the feed production process in the paper. The results indicate that surface hardness is incresed 1~2times and the depth of harden layer is about 0.15~0.3 millimeter by ionitrding, but plasma arc surface quenching can improve the surface hardness of screw 2~3times, and the depth of harden layer is about 0.2~0.45 millimeter. Metallurgical structure of harden layer is also analysed and discussed.

Grind-hardening test were performed on MM7132 surface grinder with corundum grinder wheel in the mesh of 60#. The result shows that the structure of grind-hardened layer is composed with lath martensite and small mixed martensite; the depths of grind-harden layer is largest when the grind depth is 0.3mm, while the depths of grind-harden layer decreased when the grind depth is 0.2mm, 0.4mm, 0.5mm,respectively. The range of microhardness of grind-harden layer is from 754 to 853. The depths of grind-harden layer along the direction of working appeared ladderly.

This paper studies on the relative denseness of fresh cement pastes compounded with multi-cementitious materials and the performances of their harden concretes. Results show that with the dense packing of several ultra-fine particles, higher the relative denseness of different cementitious material system, higher the compressive strength and lower the air permeability of the harden concrete. The multi-cementitious material compounded by 37% cement、20% fly ash、40% pulverized slag and 3% silica fume has the higher relative denseness of fresh cement paste, and its compressive strength and air permeation of harden concrete composite is also improved.

Abstract:
Abstract In the 1850's John Harden and E.A. Watkins, missionaries of the Church Missionary Society (CMS) to James Bay, began the work of adapting James Evan's Cree syllabic orthography to Inuktitut. Watkins' introduced the syllabic writing system to Inuit at Fort George and Little Whale River in 1855, and that same year Harden printed a small book of scripture verses in syllables on his press at Moose Factory. In 1865, at the request of CMS Secretary Henry Venn, Harden and Watkins met in conference in England and modified the syllabic system to allow a more precise rendering of both Inuktitut and Moose Cree. It remained for Edmund James Peck, who arrived in the diocese in 1876, to devote his attention to the translation of scripture into Inuktitut in Harden and Watkins' orthography. Only minor changes were made in the Inuktitut orthography until the major revision under the direction of the Inuit Cultural Institute in the 1970's.

Hyslop, Jonathan. "The world voyage of James Keir Hardie: Indian nationalism, Zulu insurgency and the British labour diaspora 1907–1908." Journal of Global History 1, no. 3 (November 2006): 343–62. http://dx.doi.org/10.1017/s1740022806003032.

Full text
Abstract:
In 1907–1908, the British labour leader, James Keir Hardie, made a round-the-world tour, which included visits to India, Australasia and southern Africa. The support for Indian nationalism which he expressed precipitated a major international political controversy, in the course of which Hardie came under severe attack from the Right, both in Britain and in her colonies. In southern Africa, the issue, combined with Hardie’s earlier criticism of the repression of the 1906 Bambatha rising in Natal, sparked rioting against Hardie by British settlers during his visit. This article seeks to show how Hardie’s voyage illuminates the imperial politics of its moment. Hardie’s journey demonstrates how politics in the British colonies of his era took place not within local political boundaries, but in a single field which covered both metropolis and colonies. The article is a case study which helps to illustrate and develop an argument that the white working classes in the pre-First World War British Empire were not composed of nationally discrete entities, but were bound together into an imperial working class which developed a distinct common ideology, White Labourism, fusing elements of racism and xenophobia with worker militancy and anti-capitalism. The current paper refines this analysis of the politics of the imperial working class by situating it in relation to the rising force of Indian nationalism in the same period, and to the changes this development generated in the politics of the settler colonies and the imperial centre. In India, Hardie forged links with the dynamic new political mobilization that had followed on the crisis over the partition of Bengal. In doing so, he entered, as an ally, into the discursive struggle which Indian nationalists were waging for self-government. By taking a pro-Indian position he antagonized the British Right. Labourites in the white settlement colonies wanted to defend Hardie, as a representative figure of British labour, but were embarrassed by the fact that Hardie’s position on India went against the grain of White Labourist ideology. In southern Africa, local leaders of British labour did opt to defend Hardie. But they did so not only at the risk of alienating their members, but also at the price of being forced into direct confrontations with anti-Hardie groupings.

Abstract:
In 2013 the rules for solving the puzzle changed with the implementation of Resource Description and Access (RDA), bringing new opportunities for providing improved access to information. As with any major change, people need assistance in understanding and incorporating new rules. This can be especially true when dealing with special formats, like printed or recorded music, where the basic rules do not always seem pertinent to the “puzzle” before you. This brings us the aptly titled new book Music Description and Access: Solving the Puzzle of Cataloging by Dr. Jean Harden. Harden is a long-time practitioner and educator in the field of music cataloging, and has been recognized nationally for her contributions to the profession. In her latest work, Harden attempts to solve the cataloging puzzle.

Abstract:
At present, the research on the radiation-harden ability is the hot spot in the field of aerospace devices. In the paper, one commercial D flip-flop chain and one radiation-harden D flip-flop chain are chosen to be tested on the five conditions of different work frequency in the range of 100k~100M. The test would help us to study the frequency effect on SEE. The result shows that when the work frequency increases 103times, the upset threshold of commercial D flip-flop chain is almost unchanged, but the saturation cross section of the single event upset (SEU) increases about 7.13 times. Compared with radiation-harden D flip-flop chain, the reinforced chain has higher upset threshold, lower upset saturation cross section, and the saturation cross section increases about 3.71 times when the work frequency increases 103times.

Abstract:
Objectives: Curriculum analysis is an essential process in exploring the validity of assumptions behind the curriculum and judging its perspectives, goals, and objectives. This study analysed the curriculum of the Internal Medicine Residency Programme at the Sudan Medical Specialisation Board, exploring the programme’s strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Materials and Methods: A qualitative descriptive analysis method using Harden Ten Questions framework was used, implemented through document analysis. Thematic analysis was used to categorise the findings following the Harden Ten Questions framework. Results: The analysis of this curriculum using Harden Ten Questions framework revealed that it is built on needs assessment, with clear objectives and contents, good organisation of the contents and a precise management process. However, there is a need to improve the areas related to training strategies, training methods, assessment methods and the learning environment. Conclusions: This study showed that the curriculum is built to meet the needs of the Sudanese community. The contents fit for internal medicine clinical residency and the methods of training are likely to foster long-life learning. The curriculum needs some improvement particularly in the following areas such as clinical teaching, trainee assessments, and learning environments. Harden Ten Questions framework for curricula was practical to some degree in analysing the postgraduate curriculum. However, some suggestions have been made regarding the original framework to make it more adaptable to curriculum analysis at postgraduate level. The systematic analysis is transferable to the analysis of other undergraduate or postgraduate medical curricula in Sudan.
