Full textIn early spring 2021, the Swedish government presented a bill that would entail amendments to the Transplantation Act. Since there is an organ shortage in Sweden, the purpose of the bill is to enable more donations. One of the proposals is the removal of the family consent which means that relatives will no longer have the right to refuse donation from a deceased relative when the willingness to donate is unknown, also known as a hard opt out system. This would make Sweden the third country in the world to implement such a donation system. There are few previous studies which examine the economic aspect of removing the family consent. The purpose of our thesis is to analyze such a systemic change in Sweden through a CBA. In addition to our CBA, we conduct a survey to analyze certain non-monetary effects. We also seek to analyze whether the attitude towards organ donation has changed since the most recent survey was conducted in 2015. The results show a more positive attitude towards organ donation in our study compared to earlier research. In the main calculation, the monetarily valued effects of a removal of the family consent presents net savings of SEK 427 million. Given that the non-monetary effects do not add up to a cost of more than SEK 427 million, a removal of the family consent is a profitable measure from a CBA perspective. The sensitivity analysis presents several alternative calculations where the monetary effects provide a net saving in all of them, which indicates a robust result in our main calculation. Even though our calculations indicate that a removal of the family consent leads to a net saving, we cannot determine if it is the most cost-effective measure. Previous studies suggest that there is no evidence that the removal itself leads to more donated organs and that structural changes can be at least as significant, if not more so. We recommend that additional comparative studies with countries that have a high proportion of donors should be conducted. This would help with the evaluation of which measures would be the most cost-effective in Sweden.

Full textPain management is a complex task and an important part of nursing care. The aim of this literature review is to illustrate different factors that influence nurses pain assessment and decision making regarding pharmacological pain relief. Joyce Travelbees nursing theory was used as a theoretical reference. Nine scientific articles was analysed and the results revealed that patient characteristic, nurses, environmental and organisational aspects as well as attitudes towards analgesia influences nurses pain assessment and decision regarding pharmacological pain relief. To make the treatment of pain more effective the nurse should listen to and trust the patients description of the experienced pain.

Full textPopulärvetenskaplig sammanfattning Hur är det att drabbas av en förlossningsskada? Vad är det som gör ont, och hur är det att söka vård för smärtan? I denna studie undersöks erfarenheten av att söka och få vård för förlossningsskador. Tio personer delar genom kvalitativ intervju med sig av sina upplevelser av att försöka få hjälp med sina förlossningsskador och den smärta som de åsamkat. I fokus är den kroppsliga erfarenheten. Studien ställer frågor om hur smärta, fysisk men även social i form av känslan skam, förkroppsligas i möten med medicinsk personal. Genom en feministisk fenomenologisk utgångspunkt ämnar uppsatsen både undersöka den roll som normer om kön och sexualitet spelar i möten mellan patienter och vårdgivare, men också belysa hur svårt det är att separera på kroppsliga och sociala erfarenheter. Hur orienteras den förlossningsskadade gentemot vården i sina försök att dämpa smärtan och läka skadan? Genom min tolkande analys av de förlossningsskadades erfarenheter läser jag hur de bär på erfarenheter av att känna sig förvirrade och desorienterade av flera orsaker, dels för att vissa lever med skador för vilka det ännu inte finns hjälp, det vill säga permanenta skador, medan andra förvirras av att höra från vården att deras bäckenbotten ser bra ut, trots att de fortfarande har ont. En del bär på erfarenheter av att uppmanas ha penetrerande sex genom smärtan, andra att leva med smärtan fram tills att de är färdiga med att skaffa barn. Många bär på erfarenheter av att känna sig hämmade från att säga ifrån när de kände sig illa behandlade, eller att våga kräva bättre vård när de känner sig undanskuffade. Förr eller senare tenderar de informanter som känner sig undanskuffade att, med olika strategier, ta plats och kräva vård för sin smärta. Jag tolkar det som att dessa personer når en smärtpunkt där det blir jobbigare att leva sin smärta än att uppleva sig vara till besvär. Den förkroppsligade erfarenheten av smärta, både fysisk och social i form av att känna skam, orienterar dem mot vården med uppsåtlighet. De oroar sig inte längre över att uppfattas som jobbiga. Andra informanter upplever till slut att de träffar läkare eller barnmorskor som ser och bekräftar deras smärta, vilket stärker dem i deras självkänsla och i deras uppfattning att skadan och smärtan är ett problem för vilket de behöver vård. Studien landar därmed i slutsatsen att den förkroppsligade erfarenheten av fysisk och social smärta, samt den förkroppsligade erfarenheten av att känna sig sedd i denna smärta, leder till en brytpunkt som orienterar de förlossningsskadade mot vårdande behandling, och därmed även mot ett stärkt subjektskap.

Full textObjektorientering har kommit att bli en väletablerad teknik inom systemutvecklingen. De fördelar som den objektorienterade tekniken anses medföra är bl a att den ger en mer användarnära systemutveckling och ökar produktiviteten genom återanvändning av komponenter. Men det har även riktats kritik mot den objektorienterade tekniken. Ett område som har kritiserats är de objektorienterade metoderna. De har uppfattats som instabila och ofullständiga i början av 90-talet då de var nya. Det medförde att jag blev intresserad av att undersöka hur några av de objektorienterade metoderna fungerar idag.
Detta arbete tar upp en del av de synpunkter och erfarenheter som några svenska utvecklingsföretag har av de objektorienterade metoderna OMT och Objectory. Syftet med arbetet är bl a att få fram om OMT och Objectory har åtgärdat de brister som de i tidigare litteratur har kritiserats för.
Den metod som använts för att hantera valt ämne är en kombination av en litteraturstudie och intervjuer/enkäter.
Det har visat sig under arbetes gång att det är betydligt fler företag som jag har kommit i kontakt med som tillämpar Objectory än OMT. Något överraskande är att alla undersökta företag använder UML-notation och inte OMT och Objectorys ursprungsnotationer. Det anser jag tyda på att UML har fått en stor genomslagskraft. Vidare tyder resultatet av undersökningen på att en del av den kritik som riktats mot OMT och Objectory i litteratur, publicerad i början av 90-talet, har åtgärdats för att förbättra metoderna.

Many patients experience medium to unbearable pain after surgery. A good assessment is essential for adequate pain relief. Purpose of this studie was to investigate the nurses´ pain assessment and if patients experienced adequate pain relief. Questions were: How do nurses´ assess adult patients postoperative pain?, Is the assessment adequate to the patients´ pain?, Are there any differences between the nurses´ assessment? Method: The literature review is based upon five qualitative, two quantitative and two combined qualitative/quantitative studies. The studies were reviewed with help from Polit et al (2001) reviewtemplate. Results: Different categories emerged that the nurses´ used at the pain assessment. It appeard in the results that the nurse underestimated patients pain postoperatively and that there was no difference between novice or expert nurses´. Full textENGLISH ABSTRACT: This dissertation is an attempt to address the problem of the relationship between Yahweh and Hope in Isaiah 5:1-7 in the light of parallelism in the book Isaiah. It is an attempt to prove that our hypothesis, that hope in the book Isaiah can be explained theologically in a special manner by means of parallelism (synonymous, antithetical and synthetical); that hope can also not only theologically be understood in concordance (synonymous and synthetical), but also in contradiction (antithetical); that Isaiah 5:1-7 can be used as a good example of antithetical parallelism and that the social, cultural and ideological texture give cause to the different accents of the theological understanding of hope in Isaiah. For this study we used the socio-rhetorical approach of Vernon Robbins. In Chapter 1 we look more closely at the socio-rhetorical approach, we look for possible flaws and make some suggestions. For the clarification of the concepts "hope" and "parallelism" we focus on the meaning of these concepts as included in the hypothesis of this dissertation. An overview of the research of Isaiah 5:1-7 is given and how the history of interpretation has been characterised by three approaches, namely the historical-critical, literary and theological approaches. By the use of the socio-rhetorical approach we attempt to study more fully "God and Hope in Isaiah 5:1-7 in the light of parallelism in the book Isaiah". In Chapter 2 we are focusing on the inner texture of Isaiah 5:1-7. We are looking to the following: - The repetitive texture and pattern; we are looking for the occurrence of words and phrases more than once in a unit. - The progressive texture and pattern; there is a progressive building up from verse 1 to verse 7 in words and phrases. - The narrational texture and pattern; Isaiah 5:1-7 has been characterised by two structural forms, namely a love song and a juridical case. - The opening-middle-closing texture and pattern; the exposition looks as follows: - opening: vv. 1-2d; - middle: vv. 2e-4; - closing: vv. 5-7. - The argumentative texture and pattern; Yahweh is building up an argument. He is using the example of a vineyard and court terms to explain and build up His case. - The sensory-aesthetic texture and pattern; the relationship between Yahweh and his people become sour and we are talking of contradicting emotions and acts, namely excitement and disappointment, pressing (of the grapes) and judgement. In Chapter 3 we are focussing on the intertexture of Isaiah 5:1-7 and its connection with hope. We are looking to the dating of Isaiah 5:1-7. The possible intertextual connections between Isaiah 5:1-7 and the other texts in Isaiah are "recitation", "recontextualization" and "thematic elaboration". Considering that "parallelism" is part of the theme of this dissertation, we are taking antithetical parallelism as point of departure to concentrate on four focus texts, namely Isaiah 5:1-7 (main focus texts), Isaiah 27:2-6, Isaiah 40:27-31 and Isaiah 59:1-21. In terms of parallelism and dating we typify the four texts as follows: - Isaiah 5:1-7: antithetical parallelism; late post-exilic. - Isaiah 27:2-6: late pre-exilic. - Isaiah 40:27-31: antithetical parallelism; exilic. - Isaiah 59:1-21: antithetical parallelism; post-exilic. that play a role in how hope is understood are: "viticulture", "dwellers in Jerusalem", "men of Judah", "house of Israel", "Jacob/Israel" and "Zion". In Chapter 5 we are focussing on the ideological and sacred texture of Isaiah 5:1-7 and its connection with hope. The following issues cast light on how hope must be understood in terms of the ideological texture, namely "the conflict between communities", "the ideological conflict concerning Zion theology", "the people circumstances in the exile" and "class conflict". In terms of the theme, "God and Hope in Isaiah 5:1-7 in the light of parallelism in the book Isaiah", the role of Yahweh is crucial in in the way hope must be understood. In the sacred texture of Isaiah 5:1-7 Yahweh plays the following roles: "Gardener-Viticulturist", "Creator", "King", "Judge", "Warrior" and "Husband". In Chapter 6 we summarise our study and also give a conclusion to the study, the contribution of the dissertation to the field of study in comparison with existing research and suggestions with reference to further research. Therefore, the answer on the question, "How can hope been theologically understood in the book Isaiah in consideration of the literary and historical textures of Isaiah 5:1-7?" is as follows: Hope with parallelisms as point of departure in the book of Isaiah can be theologically understand on how Isaiah 5:1-7 is socio-rhetorically been investigated.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Hierdie proefskrif ondersoek die vraagstuk rondom die verhouding tussen God en Hoop in Jesaja 5:1-7 aan die hand van parallelismes in die boek Jesaja. Daar word gepoog om die hipotese te bewys, dat "hoop" in die boek Jesaja op 'n besondere manier by wyse van parallelismes (sinonimiese, antitetiese en sintetiese) teologies verduidelik word; dat hoop teologies nie net in ooreenstemming (sinonimiese en sintetiese parallelisme) nie, maar ook in teenstelling (antitetiese parallelisme) verstaan kan word; dat Jesaja 5:1-7 as 'n goeie voorbeeld van antitetiese parallelismes gebruik kan word; dat die sosiale, kulturele en ideologiese verband aanleiding tot die verskillende aksente binne die teologiese verstaan van hoop in Jesaja gee. Vir hierdie ondersoek word Vernon Robbins se sosio-retoriese benadering gebruik. In hoofstuk 1 word die sosio-retoriese benadering van nader bekyk en word moontlike leemtes aangespreek en sekere voorstelle word gemaak. Ter verheldering van die begrippe "hoop" en "parallelisme" word daar gefokus op die betekenis van die begrippe soos in die hipotese van die proefskrif vervat. Daar word 'n oorsig van die navorsing van Jesaja 5:1-7 gegee en hoe die geskiedenis van interpretasie deur drie benaderings, te wete die histories-kritiese, die literêre en die teologiese benaderings, gekenmerk was. Deur die gebruik van die sosio-retoriese benadering word gepoog om, "God en Hoop in Jesaja 5:1-7 aan die hand van parallelismes in die boek Jesaja", meer volledig te bestudeer. In Hoofstuk 2 word daar na die intratekstuele verband van Jesaja 5:1-7 gekyk. Daar word op die volgende gelet: - Die herhalende verband en patroon; hoe woorde en frases herhaal word. - Die progressiewe verband en patroon; daar is 'n progressiewe opbou vanaf vers 1 tot vers 7 deur woorde en frases. - Die verhalende verband en patroon; Jesaja 5:1-7 het twee strukturele kenmerke wat met 'n liefdeslied en 'n regsaak te make het. - Die oop-middel-sluit verband en patroon; dit kan soos volg uiteengesit word: - oop: vv. 1-2d; - middel: vv. 2e-4; - sluit: vv. 5-7. - Die redenerende verband en patroon; Jahwe is besig om 'n argument op te bou en Hy gebruik die voorbeeld van die wingerd en hofterme om sy saak te verduidelik en op te bou. - Die sensoriese verband en patroon; hier het die verhouding tussen Jahwe en die volk versuur en word van kontrasterende emosies en handeling gepraat, naamlik: opgewondenheid en teleurstelling, oes en oordeel. In Hoofstuk 3 word op die intertekstuele verband van Jesaja 5:1-7 gefokus en die samehang met hoop. Daar word na die datering van Jesaja 5:1-7 gekyk. Die moontlike intertekstuele verbande tussen Jesaja 5:1-7 en sy intertekste in die boek Jesaja is dié van: "herhaling", "tematiese uitbreiding" en "rekontekstualisering". Aangesien daar op parallelisme gefokus word met antitetiese parallelisme as die uitgangspunt, word daar 4 fokustekste behandel, naamlik: Jesaja 5:1-7 (hooffokusteks), Jesaja 27:2-6, Jesaja 40:27-31 en Jesaja 59:1-21. In terme van parallelismes en datering word dit soos volg getipeer: - Jesaja 5:1-7: antitetiese parallelisme, laat post-eksilies. - Jesaja 27:2-6: laat pre-eksilies. - Jesaja 40:27-31: antitetiese parallelisme, eksilies. - Jesaja 59:1-21: antitetiese parallelisme, post-eksilies. Die rede waarom 27:2-6 ook behandel word, is dat dit kanonies as die tweede wingerdlied bekend staan. In Hoofstuk 4 word daar op die sosiale en kulturele verband van Jesaja 5:1-7 en sy intertekste en die verband met hoop gefokus. Ten opsigte van die sosiale en kulturele omstandighede is die godsdienstige reaksies oorwegend "revolusionist" en die retoriek oorwegend "dominant" en "alternative". Die sosiale en kulturele begrippe wat 'n rol speel in hoe hoop verstaan word, is: "wingerdbou", "inwoners van Jerusalem", "manne van Juda", "huis van Israel", "Jakob/Israel" en "Sion". In Hoofstuk 5 word daar op die ideologiese en teologiese verband van Jesaja 5:1-7 en die verband met hoop gefokus. Die volgende kwessies werp lig op hoe hoop in terme van die ideologiese verband verstaan word, naamlik: "die konflik tussen gemeenskappe", "ideologiese konflik betreffende die Sionsteologie", "die volk se omstandighede in ballingskap" en "klassekonflik". In terme van die tema, "God en Hoop in Jesaja 5:1-7 aan die hand van parallelismes in die boek Jesaja", is die rol van Jahwe van deurslaggewende belang in hoe hoop verstaan word. In die teologiese verband van Jesaja 5:1-7 vertolk Jahwe die volgende rolle: "Tuinier-Wingerdboer", "Skepper", "Koning", "Regter", "Kryger" en "Man". In Hoofstuk 6 word 'n opsomming gegee, asook 'n gevolgtrekking van die studie, die bydrae van die proefskif tot navorsing in vergelyking met bestaande navorsing en voorstelle met betrekking tot verdere navorsing. Dus, die antwoord op die vraag: "Hoe word "hoop" teologies in die boek Jesaja verstaan met inagneming van die literêre en historiese verbande van Jesaja 5:1-7?" is soos volg: The reason for taking 27:2-6 as one of the focus texts is that it is canonically speaking known as the second love song. In Chapter 4 we are focussing on the social and cultural texture of Isaiah 5:1-7 and its intertexts and its connection with hope. With regard to the social and cultural circumstances the predominant religious reaction is "revolutionist" and the rhetoric "dominant" and "counterculture" or "alternative". The social and cultural concepts Hoop, met parallelismes in die boek Jesaja as uitgangspunt, word teologies verstaan deur Jesaja 5:1-7 sosio-retories na te vors.

Hay quality is an important factor that affects yield and quality of animal products. It also influences its market price. Therefore, it is crucial to have quantitative value on hay quality. Conventionally hay quality is judged manually by its appearance, smell, and chemical composition that needs tedious laboratory analysis. Spectroscopy in near infrared are techniques that have been broadly studied in agricultural field. Spectroscopy contain many advantages, such as, simple preparation for samples, non-destructive on samples, and quick detection. This study used near-infrared spectroscopy to calibrate a chemical composition for Pangola and Oat hay. Seventy Pangola and Eighty Oat hay for NIR analysis. The all Pangola hay samples were randomly collected from Kenting, a southern town in Taiwan. They were sampled by a motor driven drill cutter which made the length of hay straw and leaves in between 1~3 cm. Each sample was scanned by a monochrometer (microPHAZER) to record its reflective spectrum at 1600~2400 nm. Among these sample data, 2/3 of them were used as calibration set while the rest were used as test set. For spectroscopy to predict composition, PLSR (Partial least square regression) and MLR (Multiple linear regression) models were tested to predict CP (Crude protein), NDF (Neutral detergent fiber) and ADF (Acid detergent fiber). At Pangola hay of cut type, results showed the best model had R2 (coefficient of determination) on prediction and measurement on test set of 0.79, 0.50 and 0.52 for CP, NDF and ADF respectively and with RMSEP (root mean squared error of prediction) value of 0.97, 1.63, and 2.20. In die veertigerjare het Robert Gordis aanhalings in die boek Prediker uitgewys. Diethelm Michel en Norman Whybray het die aanhalingshipotese ondersteun, terwyl Michael Fox nie ten gunste daarvan was nie. Whybray het kriteria saarngestel op grond waarvan hy aanhalings uit ouer wysheidsmateriaal kon onderskei. Fox kon op grond van sy eie kriteria geen aanhalings identifiseer nie. Om vas te st el of die Prediker we! uit ouer wysheidsmateriaal aanhaal, word eerstens gekyk na hoe die wysheid in Israel ontstaan het en wat die boek Prediker se verhouding tot ander wysheidsgeskrifte is. Hie ma word die histories-kritiese bestudering van die boek onder die loep geneem alvorens die navorsingsgeskiedenis van aanhalings nagegaan word. In the forties, Robert Gordis pointed out that quotations do occur in the book Ecclesiastes. Diethelm Michel and Norman Whybray endorsed this hypothesis of quotations, while Michael Fox has taken a stance against it. Whybray compiled criteria to distinguish older wisdom sayings in the book Ecclesiastes. Fox applied his own criteria and could not find any quotations. To determine if the author (Qohelet) does quote from older wisdom material, we take a look how the wisdom developed in Israel and what the book's relation was to other wisdom books. Then the contribution of the historical-critical methods to the understanding of the book is surveyed before die research history of quotations is discussed. Ecclesiastes 9-11 is examined to determine if Qohelet really quotes from older wisdom material. Finally, we ask the question whether quotations should be highlighted in Bible translations in order to improve understanding of the text.
