Abstract:

This report is a study of information quality that has been carried out at Nils Hanssons Åkeri Ltd. The objective was to focus on the information flow at the firm. This was done by three case studies where two departments, the market department and the traffic management department, were studied. These departments were chosen because there is a natural flow of information between them that has not been evident for everybody involved before.

Today, the information flow has a difficulty to contribute to the value creation process. The case studies were analyzed by means of an information quality model where the flaws were made visible. A scale model was designed in order to visualise the balance between the material and the immaterial flow. The scale model visualized that the current focus is the material part. The importance of a well functioning information flow is not prioritized. This makes the scale unbalanced and it weighs over to the material side. In order to restore the balance, it is required that everyone concerned sees the information as a product and not as a by-product.

The case studies led to three improvement suggestions. The first is that NHAB should designate one person that is responsible for the whole information quality process. The next suggestion is to have annual meetings involving the two departments. The third suggestion is to have a central place were the departments can share information. It was also required to have a checklist that can increase the information quality.

Abstract:
The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate the possibility to communicate messagesrelated to sustainable development through cultural works. Culture is here synonymous toliterature or, more specifically, the fiction genre. According to ecocritical research, this genrehas the capacity to contribute to a more sustainable development and is therefore interestingto analyse from an environmental point of view.The novel selected for the study is Vips så blev det liv - eller en hyllning till blågrönalgen(2010), written by the Swedish author Bob Hansson. The analysis is mainly focused on howthe book’s climate related messages are formulated and integrated in the story. Alsoconsidered is in what way Hansson’s strategies are compatible with the expectations raisedtowards the fiction genre within the context of sustainable development; expectations thatinclude the ability to evoke emotion, to convey new values and perspectives, and to act as alink between different parts of society.One conclusion to be drawn from the analysis is that Hansson approaches the climate issuein several ways. For example, Vips så blev det liv reflects both anthropocentric and bio-/ecocentric values, and the messages are delivered in an informative as well as in anillustrative manner. Moreover, the literary tropes give the book an emotional touch, whichmay help the reader to comprehend the information. In other words, the methods used are to alarge extent in line with the above mentioned expectations towards the fiction genre.What is however important to remember, is that the book includes several parallel themesand many comic episodes. For that reason, it cannot be taken for granted that the reader willpay much attention to the climate messages; however emotional, multidisciplinary andunconventional they may be. This highlights the difficulty in predicting the response to acertain cultural work. In order to understand its true potential in terms of communicatingmessages for a sustainable development, it is therefore essential to analyse the whole chainthat links the creator of the work to its recipients.

Abstract:
Denna studie utreder de motstridiga uppgifter som idag förekommer om Bo Hanssons mest framgångsrika album Sagan om Ringens reception i Sverige efter att den gavs ut december 1970. Dess genomslag har i dagens relativt knapphändiga receptionsmaterial beskrivits som en omedelbar succé men samtidigt som enbart måttlig. Studien innefattar huvudsakligen insamlade och granskade historiska primärkällor i form av dags- och kvällstidningsartiklar från Sveriges fyra största tidningar och styrs av en huvudfråga och en följande bifråga: I vilken omfattning omskrevs verket och hur formulerades receptionen i dåtidens svenska press? Bifrågan grundas i utsagor om en särställning som Bo Hansson idag anses ha erhållit jämte sin samtida sociokulturella kontext, nämligen sjuttiotalets svenska Musikrörelse även kallad Proggrörelsen. Studien föranleds av ett biografiskt bakgrundsavsnitt och avrundas med en kort biografisk epilog som syftar till att stärka läsarens helhetsförståelse av uppsatsens centrala artikelstudie. En summering med slutledningar och övriga iakttagelser presenteras i en avslutande diskussion som kan konstatera att det inte förelåg en omedelbar medial uppmärksamhet kring Sagan om Ringen i Sverige och att svensk press först började omskriva verket efter dess banbrytande internationella genomslag två år senare. Tecken på en viss konstnärlig särställning kring Bo Hansson framkommer i artikelstudien och exemplifieras ytterligare i slutdiskussionen.

Abstract:
World Solar Challenge är en tävling i Australien vars syfte är att främja utvecklingen av förnyelsebar energi. Här deltar olika universitet runt om i världen och för att bygga en solcellsdriven bil som drivs av solens energi. Den ska sedan köras en sträcka mellan Darwin och Adelaide på dryga 300 mil genomAustralien på kortast möjligast tid. Projektet görs för Tekniska Högskolan i Jönköping till en kommande kurs somstudenter kan söka sig till för att delta i World Solar Challenge 2013. I kursen ingår att bygga en solcellsbil som man sedan tävlar med. Genom att sätta upp krav som är nödvändiga och önskvärda i en funktionsanalys får projektet en utgångspunkt och ett stöd som bestämmer hur konceptet ska se ut och vilka krav som måste uppfyllas. De restriktioner som tävlingsledningen för World Solar Challenge upprättat kan omvandlas till nödvändiga krav ifunktionsanalysen. Researchen, restriktionerna och de teorier som de aerodynamiska aspekternapekat på bestämmer hur konceptet är utformat. Resultatet i projektet är en solcellsbil som med hjälp av sin sammanhängande form får goda aerodynamiska egenskaper och kan på det sättet konkurrera om en topplacering i World Solar Challenge. Konceptet kallas Sting och är ett trehjuligt fordon med en solcellsyta på 6m2 som är den tillåtna ytan för kiselsolceller. Genom att placera förarhytten framtill påverkar inte luftmotståndet bakänden lika mycket, som är den del som utsätts för mest turbulens. Bakänden kan på detta sätt smalnas av och föra samman luftströmmarna igen utan att det uppstår turbulens. Designen av Sting kommerfrån fyra värdeord vilka är: snabb, miljövänlig, aerodynamisk och alternativa energikällor. Genom detta projekt kan konceptet utvecklas vidare i den kommande kursen hos Tekniska Högskolan i Jönköping . Slutsatsen är att konceptet uppfyller de krav som funktionsanalysen innehåller och att konceptet kan ligga till grund för kursen med en bra utgångspunkt.

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to survey the textile based proto-industrialism in Sweden in the middle of the 19th century. This case study is founded upon Anders Hansson’s pre-industrial textile production at the estate of Mölneby, Östra Frölunda in the rural district of Kind in the province of Västra Götaland. Account books from the year 1853 related to Anders Hansson’s wool fabric manufacturing have been looked into and categorized using a quantitative research method. The research has also been supplemented with a number of interviews. The result of the survey shows that Anders Hansson’s business activities fit into Mendel’s theory of proto-industrialists at a practice level. By collaborating with a merchant in Gothenburg the fabrics were traded in unknown markets, as well as in more familiar neighbouring districts. The amount of production varied due to agricultural season. Usually it contributed to the income of the peasant’s family, but for some people living in poor-houses it was their only income. The theory of proto-industrialism also assumes that there is a surplus of food production in adjacent districts, something that is not completely evident in this study.  However, an accumulation of capital can be seen as continuous investments in forest land and agricultural properties took place. Furthermore, the study shows that Anders Hansson’s business activities also led to his acquisition of trading skills as well as specialist knowledge of how to organize production. Consequently, the conclusion of the study has to be put forward in the following way: by looking into the case study and earlier research of the proto-industrial theory it is evident that this activity at practice level co-existed in a symbiotic relationship in the rural society as well as in the urban society. Mendel’s proto-industrial theory discusses and analyses different parts of this manufacturing as a contributing factor to the industrialization or as in the case of Anders Hansson’s manufacturing; the de-industrialization.

Abstract:
In the Anthropocene, a new approach towards nature in poetry is emerging. This change is closely related to ecocritical theory, which is a reevaluation of the human view on, and representation of, nature. It moves away from a more traditional anthropocentric perspective to a more critical one. This can for instance be in the spirit of Arne Naess or Timothy Morton, the two main theorists used in this essay. This essay is an ecocritical close reading of two Swedish contemporary poems on nature: “När jag går i skymningsmörkret” by Ingela Strandberg (from Att snara en fågel, 2018) and “(Strandförskjutningar)” by Gunnar D Hansson (from Tapeshavet, 2017). The focus of the reading is on the representation of wild, untouched nature. The formulated questions in the essay concern how untouched nature is represented in the poems, the human relationship towards it and how the differences and similarities between the two poems relate to and transform romantic representations of nature.  The conclusion is that these two very different poems exemplify the range of contemporary Swedish nature poetry. Strandberg’s poem is leaning towards a romantic or ecosofist representation of nature, whilst Hansson’s is more clear-cut ecocritical in line with Morton’s dark ecology.

Cette thèse analyse les formes et les effets de l’utopisme qui sous-tend le projet politique du SAP (parti social-démocrate suédois) entre 1932 et 1986. Dans le cadre d’une approche conceptuelle du politique nous nous interrogeons sur le pouvoir des idées, des symboles et de l’imaginaire dans la constitution d’un roman national original, mais aussi à travers la mise en oeuvre de l’action publique. A partir d’un important corpus inédit de discours et d’écrits rédigés par les trois leaders qui se sont succédés à la tête du gouvernement pendant un demi-siècle(Hansson, Erlander, Palme), la thèse s’efforce de mettre à jour « la cristallisation sémantique » qui a structuré le lexique politique du SAP. En son coeur figure la métaphore du Folkhem qui fonctionne comme un mythe mobilisateur pour la nouvelle société, avant de se transformer en élément essentiel de l’identité nationale et de la culture politique de la Suède. Autour du Folkhem, se noue le contrat social suédois, et la notion se transforme en source etressource de légitimité politique. L’histoire des récits du Folkhem permet de mieuxcomprendre les origines du modèle suédois et les modalités récentes de son évolution. This thesis relates the forms and effects of the utopianism that underlies the SAP (Swedish Social-Democratic Party) political project between 1932 and 1986. The power of ideas,symbols and imaginary in politics is our theoretical base. The political discourse of the SAP leaders and the importance of words in the creation of public policy are studied. Our corpus consists of a vast archive material. Guided by utopianism, the leaders express their will to create a new society. The Folkhem political metaphor, narrative at the heart of the political glossary of the SAP, is in the centre of this utopianism. The notion is used as a mobilizingmyth for the new society and it works as a social contract for the Swedes. The Folkhem narratives help us understand the Swedish model and contemporary Sweden. By its extreme plasticity and by being part of the Swedish identity, the notion is still a source of political legitimacy and continues to produce meaning

I min uppsats så har jag valt att studera den ideologi som ledde fram till skapandet av det svenska samhällets särart. Detta ämne har nu för tiden utvecklats till att i huvudsak vara historia, eftersom dess ursprung nu ligger så långt tillbaka i tiden. Mitt val av detta ämne beror huvudsakligen på att jag önskar öka förståelsen för hur välfärden och folkhemsidealet kom att utmärka Sverige. För att uppnå detta har jag främst studerat socialdemokratin, då den som det framgår i bakgrund och appendix var den drivande faktorn i denna utveckling. Jag har dock i den mån det påverkat det socialdemokratiska beslutsfattandet redovisat även andra faktorer. Därtill har jag valt att bege mig tillbaka till den tid då de första idéerna som skulle resultera i det socialdemokratiskt dominerade Sverige växte fram. Jag önskar nämligen också uppvisa hur socialdemokratins ideologi påverkades och förändrades under händelsernas inflytande för att därmed ge en mer heltäckande bild. Jag finner det även nödvändigt att beskriva den utveckling som ledde socialdemokratin fram till folkhemstanken för att ge en uppfattning om dess natur då dessa ideal började växa inom den. Naturligtvis så har jag bara kunnat täcka de mest basala delarna av ideologi och händelser, men jag har strävat efter att i den mån det är möjligt få med de viktigare tankegångarna. Mitt val av slutpunkt har bestämts delvis av det begränsade utrymmet i en studentuppsats, men också av övertygelsen att den värld som socialdemokratin samverkade med efter andra världskrigets slut hade förändrats fundamentalt. Mitt syfte med uppsatsen är att visa och analysera vad socialdemokrati betydde under tiden mellan 1928 och 1939 genom att analysera några av den tidens betydelsefulla socialdemokratiska tänkares uttalanden och skrifter. Min ambition är att i denna ideologianalys därmed kunna finna både deras gemensamma tankegångar och skillnaderna. Därtill har jag också för avsikt att undersöka de argument som socialdemokraterna använde sig av och därigenom få en uppfattning om vad de motsatte sig och varför. Min huvudfrågeställning är: Hur såg den socialdemokratiska ideologin ut under tiden mellan 1928 och 1939 tolkad genom olika socialdemokratiska röster? För att besvara den har jag valt att använda mig av följande frågor: Vad förespråkade socialdemokraterna? På vilka grunder kritiserade socialdemokraterna sina motståndare? Hur motiverade de det? I vilka sammanhang uttalade de sig? Kan skillnaden hänföras till personliga skillnader? Skälet till valet av dessa frågor är att jag finner att de i stort sett täcker den socialdemokratiska ideologin samtidigt som de bidrar till att placera den i sitt tidssammanhang.

Cette étude traite de la représentation du criminel et de la normalisation de l’homme dans les œuvres d’August Strindberg, Ola Hansson et Gustaf af Geijerstam. La question de l’identité et de la spécificité de l’homme criminel attira une attention considérable à la fin du 19ème siècle. Elle fut explorée dans des sciences prestigieuses qui employaient de nouvelles techniques photographiques et statistiques pour surveiller et définir les anormaux. Dans les œuvres littéraires examinées, le criminel représente un thème privilégié : à travers ce thème, des questions fondamentales concernant la déviance, le déclin et la dégénérescence pourraient être exprimées et discutées par les auteurs. Pourtant, le criminel reste une figure complexe qui à la fois était perçue comme un homme malade ou déviant qu’il faut normaliser et un homme supérieur qui exprime sa propre liberté et individualité. Ce processus ambiguë est décrit, avec un terme emprunté à Michel Foucault, comme une forme de « gouvernementalité », ou une élaboration continue d’un champ de liberté et individualité situées
This study explores the representation of the criminal and the wider question of the normalization of man seen through the works of August Strindberg, Ola Hansson and Gustaf af Geijerstam. The question of the identity of the criminal attracted considerable attention at the end of the 19th century. It was explored in new, prestigious scientific fields that relied upon cutting-edge photographic technology and statistics as forms of surveillance for defining types of human beings. In the literary works, the criminal thus functions as an appealing topic through which deeper cultural anxieties about deviance, decline and degeneration could be voiced and discussed. However, the criminal is a complex figure who at the same time tended to be seen as a sick, deviant or abnormal individual in need of normalization, and as a superior being who expresses his personal freedom and individuality. This ambivalent process, called a “game of normality”, is in turn understood in post-Foucauldian terms as a form of “governmentality”, or as a continuous shaping of a field of situated freedom and individuality

This thesis analyses the literature debate in the overlooked Swedish magazine Samtid och Framtid 1944–1949. The magazine was first published at the end of World War II on the initiative of publisher Johan Hansson. After an interesting start, the terms of the debate in the magazine were changed after a power struggle on the editorial level. Thus, the magazine never became the influential arena for literary discussions that it first had potential of becoming. With its initial focus on how to construct a new post-war world, the debates in the magazine, however, provide an interesting material for an investigation of attempts to renegotiate the position of literature in society. This is conducted through a perspective that focuses on the debaters’ use of metaphors, but also their specific experiences of the past and their expectations on the future. Central oppositions between aesthetic and committed ideals are highlighted, but also between individualism and collectivism. It is also demonstrated that the debates successively turned more concrete, not least focusing on the very influential Swedish literary generation of the 1940s.

Lars Ahlins’ Fromma mord (Pious murder) is an incredibly complex novel. Is it even possible to say what the deepest sense is about? Erik A Nielsen and Gunnar D. Hansson has presented reasonable interpretations in their analysis of Fromma mord. However, they have not necessarily right to all points, hence it is possible to draw other conclusions. When I chose to explore the characters' strategies to liberate their ties, a relationship between the novels’ micro- and macro level was revealed, that had not been presented previously. The two issues underlying the basis for this essay are: 1) What are the different solutions Lilly, Agnes, Evangeline, Aron and Brinkman seek to be liberated from their ties? 2) Who is liberated and why? The method used for this analysis is a hermeneutic close reading of the novel Fromma mord. The results found were that the characters who were able to assert their needs and get others to cooperate with their strategies - had the best chance of becoming free. However, the most important condition for becoming liberated was that they could offload the money that tied them to Brinkman. Arons’ death was the last step that made a new future possible for Agnes, Roland, Lilly and Sven. The struggle of the characters at the novels’ micro level, was linked to the struggle between God and the devil at the novels’ macro level, through the allegorical dimension of the characters Aron and Brinkman. The essence of the whole novel is that all men are prisoners and that there is a battle going on, where even God is involved risking His own life.
Lars Ahlins Fromma mord är en oerhört komplex och idérik roman. Går det ens att säga vad den djupast sett handlar om? Erik A Nielsen och Gunnar D Hansson har presenterat möjliga tolkningar i sina analyser av Fromma mord. Men de har inte nödvändigtvis rätt på alla punkter, det går också att dra andra slutsatser. När jag valde att undersöka karaktärernas strategier för att bli fria från sina bindningar så kunde jag se ett samband mellan romanens mikro – och makroplan som inte tidigare presenterats. De två frågeställningar som ligger till grund för denna C-uppsats är: 1) Vilka olika lösningar söker Lilly, Agnes, Evangeline, Aron och Brinkman för att befrias ur sin bundenhet? 2)Vilka blir befriade och varför? Den metod jag använde för min analys är en hermeneutisk närläsning av romanen Fromma mord. De resultat jag fann var att de karaktärer som kunde hävda sina behov och få andra att samarbeta med deras strategier - hade störst chans att bli fria. Men den viktigaste förutsättningen för befrielse, var att huvudkaraktären Aron tog på sig de andras bindningar och att hans död möjliggjorde de andras fortsatta liv. Den kamp karaktärerna utkämpar på romanens mikronivå, blir genom den allegoriska dimensionen av karaktärerna Aron och Brinkman, sammanlänkad med den kamp mellan Gud och Djävulen som pågår på romanens makronivå. Jag ser som romanens essens att alla människor är fångar och att det pågår en kamp där till och med Gud är indragen på liv och död.

Den här är en läromedelsanalys som studerar hur lyrik framställs och presenteras i tre läromedelsserier. Det perspektiv som används för att studera representationen av manligt och kvinnligt är ett genusperspektiv som utgår från Judith Butlers teorier om genus och kön. Den metod som används i studien är både kvantitativ och kvalitativ textanalys och utgår från tre olika faser. Den kvantitativa analysen används för att se förekomsten av manliga och kvinnliga lyriker medan den kvalitativa analysen används för att studera hur lyriken framställs. Det material som används i studien är läroböcker från läromedelsserierna svenska impulser, Svenska helt enkelt samt Formativ svenska. I dessa serier ingår tre böcker vardera. Det vi undersöker i materialet är hur kvinnliga respektive manliga lyriker framställs, hur mycket plats lyrikgenren får ta i läroböckerna samt hur det presenterade materialet svarar mot det centrala innehållet för kurserna svenska 1, 2 och 3 i gymnasieskolan. Resultatet visar att det manliga lyrikerna är överrepresenterade vad gäller representationen av lyriker i läroböckerna. Detta visas i den kvantitativa analysen där vi räknar hur många gånger män respektive kvinnor nämns i läroböckerna. Läroböckerna visar att det förekommer lyrik men att det sker på olika sätt och i olika utsträckning beroende på vilken läromedelsserie det är samt vilka författarna till läroböckerna är. Slutsatsen som kan dras utifrån den här studien är att läroböckerna som studeras har goda möjligheter att användas i (lyrik-)undervisningen. En annan slutsats som kan dras av studiens resultat är att kvinnor och män blir representerade i olika utsträckning. Män nämns fler gånger och får mer utrymme i läroböckerna än vad kvinnorna får. Detta ser vi både genom den kvantitativa och den kvalitativa analysen.

Denna uppsats visar hur representationen av dekadent maskulinitet i svensk dekadenslitteratur från tiden strax innan sekelskiftet 1900 konstruerades. Genom att se till de tre författarna Ola Hansson (1860-1925), Emil Kléen (1868-1898) och Axel Wallengren (1865-1896) visas hur den dekadente mannen – dekadenten – skapas som karaktär och litterär figur. Dekadenten var, menar denna undersökning, extremt bunden av rum, socialitet och kropp, och kunde endast agera inom mycket snäva ramar skapade av dessa kulturella kategorier. Vad som framträder är närmast en schablon enligt vilken dekadensförfattarna arbetade, och rum, umgängesformer och kroppsligheter är så gott som utbytbara från verk till verk och författarskap till författarskap. I likhet med tidigare forskning på ämnet styrker denna uppsats bilden av den dekadenta maskuliniteten som en nervös och förment feminiserad maskulinitet, men vill till detta även tillföra att den, i egenskap av en motmaskulinitet i opposition mot den normativt borgerliga maskuliniteten, även var kapabel att erbjuda fysiskt motstånd.

Geotechnicans in Sweden and rest of Scandinavia have a wide experience of stability calculations in cohesive soils. The two main parameters for this type of calculations are the undrained shear strength and the preconsolidation pressure. The most common methods in Sweden to determine the undrained shear strength in field is the vane shear strength test and CPT-test, in laboratories the fall cone test is well used. To determine the preconsolidation pressure CRS-analyses are well used. For more accurate measurements the odeometer tests are more suitable. However this method is both expensive and time-consuming form of analysis from a commercial aspect. Therefore is different correlation equations used as a compliment in these different stability evaluations.  This research will focus on the empirical Hansbo Correlation and its relation to results from commercial surveys. The commercial data come from Atkins Sverige’s project data base. The results after comparing Hansbo correlation with the commercial data showed on a significant divergence, which indicate a great unsureness of the Hansbo correlation. As a result of this contingency it is of importance to take cautiousness in the use of empirical correlations in stability calculations.

Resumo: Este trabalho de investigação tem como objetivo expor, explicitar, exemplificar e aperfeiçoar as contribuições de Norwood Hanson à metodologia da investigação científica. Com esta finalidade, em primeiro lugar me ocupo das críticas elaboradas por este autor à polarização metodológica clássica entre os contextos de justificação e de descoberta. Em segundo lugar, desenvolvo a proposta de Hanson de um conjunto de regras ou 'critérios' para retratar um domínio de racionalidade científica maior que o estabelecido: a metodologia da plausibilidade. Esta metodologia, tal como defendo, é para Hanson um conjunto de critérios para avaliar a plausibilidade de hipóteses já descobertas (em particular, hipóteses de trabalho) e não um conjunto de critérios ou uma 'máquina' para fazer descobertas ou gerar novas hipóteses -idéia defendida por outros autores. Aiming to these goals, first I analyze Hanson's criticisms to the classic dichotomy between context of justification and context of discovery. Secondly, I develop his methodology of plausibility; that is, the set of 'criteria' that describe an area or scientific rationality greater than the traditional one. I support that this methodology was used by Hanson as a set of criteria for evaluating the plausibility of already advanced hypotheses (in special, working hypothesis) and not as a set of criteria or a 'machine' for discovering or generating new hypotheses. Last1y, I analyze -by means of different examples- the methodology of plausibility as it works within the continuum of scientific research, and I maintain that this methodology may constitute an instance of evaluation independent from the instance of justification
