AbstractThe Pastoor Van Ars Catholic church represents one of the most brilliant and somewhat unknown projects of Aldo van Eyck. A research stay at the TU Delft Faculty of Architecture allowed to visit and study the building in detail and to consult the three archives that describe it (Bishopric of Rotterdam, Municipal Archive of The Hague and Aldo+Hannie van Eyck Foundation) with the purpose of getting access to the graphic documentation as a whole —mostly unpublished— and being able to develop a well-argued architectural interpretation and criticism. In this sense, in parallel to the progressive description and understanding of the building, the paper relates the architectural design of Pastoor Van Ars with some of the essential concepts of van Eyck’s theoretical discourse, such as the twin phenomena or the principle of relativity, as well as with a unique and thorough treatment of natural light.ResumenLa iglesia católica Pastoor Van Ars representa uno de los proyectos más brillantes y en cierto modo desconocidos de Aldo van Eyck. Una estancia de investigación en la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Delft permitió visitar y estudiar de manera pormenorizada el edificio y consultar los tres archivos que lo describen (Obispado de Róterdam, Archivo Municipal de La Haya y Aldo + Hannie van Eyck Foundation) con el propósito de acceder al conjunto de la documentación gráfica del proyecto —mayoritariamente inédita— y poder abordar una interpretación y crítica arquitectónica argumentadas. En este sentido, en paralelo a la progresiva descripción y comprensión de la obra, el artículo relaciona la solución arquitectónica de Pastoor Van Ars con algunos de los conceptos esenciales del discurso teórico de van Eyck, como el fenómeno dual o el principio de relatividad, así como con un singular y meditado tratamiento de la luz natural.

<p>Aldo y Hannie van Eyck se trasladaron de Amsterdam a Loenen en 1964, reformando una antigua construcción junto al río Vecht que ha permanecido inédita hasta la actualidad. En su casa, habitada hasta 1999, Van Eyck desplegó las mismas estrategias arquitectónicas que en sus proyectos más conocidos, construyendo un interior que refleja su modo de comprender la profesión y su manera de habitar. Este breve ensayo se fija en los dibujos elaborados por el arquitecto en el proceso de proyecto, publicados por primera vez, recomponiendo la casa como montaje de fragmentos autónomos estudiados individualmente. Los dibujos, mezcla de bocetos y planimetrías a escala, presentan una casa hecha de cosas, un verdadero laberinto que exige la participación del que la recorre para ser comprensible. Al fin y al cabo, el dibujo no es tanto una herramienta de representación como un instrumento que facilita el pensamiento.</p>

Abstract:

This study aims to analyze the effect of using two types of endorsers, namely celebrities and expert endorsers, on consumer purchase intentions between halal fashion products. The method used in this study is PLS-SEM for model evaluation. This study analyzes the effect of using two types of endorsers, namely celebrities and expert endorsers, on consumers' purchase intentions between halal fashion products. The method used in this study is PLS-SEM for model evaluation. This study gave respondents a full-color print advertisement containing a photo of artist April Jasmine as a celebrity endorser and expert fashion designer Hannie Hananto as an expert endorser. We use celebrity and expert endorsers as independent variables and consumer purchase intention in halal mode as the dependent variable. The result showed that celebrity endorsers positively influence consumer purchase intention in halal fashion products. Meanwhile, expert endorser does not affect consumer purchase intention on halal fashion products. The results of this study reveal that celebrity endorsers positively affect consumers' purchase intentions for halal fashion products. However, marketers must pay attention to the suitability of selecting the type and attributes of the endorser with the product they support. The goal is that the marketing costs incurred by the company in the endorser use strategy are more effective and follow marketing objectives.

Diese Aufforderung, mit der die Autorin sich mir sozusagen vorstellte, war für mich unwiedersprechlich.

Abstract:

Resumo: O artigo procura identificar o núcleo metodológico das Origens do Totalitarismo, na estrutura comparativa entre França e Alemanha, espécie de sociologia histórico-comparativa na qual Arendt narra as origens do Nazismo e do Stalinismo. Nessa acepção, as origens ideológicas do III Reich e do Stalinismo devem ser buscadas no Racismo, e não na homologia estabelecida entre Nazismo e Comunismo, a partir da equivalência entre a ideologia da luta de classes e da luta de raças e a prática do Terror. Desse modo, a ideia de ruptura ou novidade do Totalitarismo a que se liga essa perspectiva, deve ser associada com a ideia de “atraso histórico”, espécie de articulação entre o novo e a conservação da velha ordem, na história das Nações Continentais. Sob essa ótica, Arendt mobiliza implicitamente a ideia de atraso histórico, a qual se encontra originalmente em Gramsci e Marx, a fim de dar conta de explicar não somente as homologias entre Nazismo e Comunismo, mas também como surgiram historicamente, no âmbito nacional e europeu, como ideologias políticas fundadas em movimentos de massas. De sorte a explicitar essa perspectiva, procura-se demonstrar, neste texto, como a ideia de “atraso histórico” opera no livro 1 das Origens do Totalitarismo, dedicado ao surgimento do antissemitismo.

Abstract:

The paper reviews the procedure of waqf formation of Tahira-hanuma Tuzlić, widow of Gradaščević from Tuzla. Based on the presented contents, this endowment (waqf) did not pass without certain difficulties. Namely, Tahira-hanuma Tuzlić comes from a well-known bey Tuzla family, and on that basis she inherited significant land holdings and numerous other real estates. She was married to Bećir-bey Gradaščević and they had no children. At the age of over 60, she decided to endow a significant part of her property in an “evladijet waqf”. Since Esad ef. Kulović, the mayor of Sarajevo, was married to Tahira-hanuma Tuzlić's sister, Rashid hanuma, he was appointed as mutevelija (guardian) of the said waqf. It was planned to include in the endowment significant land holdings located in the cadastral municipalities: Pasci, Husino, Bistarac and Donja Tuzla, as well as several houses and shops in Donja Tuzla. Bakir-beg Tuzlić, the only male descendant of the prominent bey family Tuzlić at the time, opposed this endowment. When he found out about the endowment, Bakir-bey Tuzlić tried in every possible way to prevent the same. For these reasons, he addressed the Sharia Court in Tuzla, the Village District Office of Donja Tuzla, and later the Provincial Government for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Joint Ministry in Vienna. In the above-mentioned petitions, Bakir-bey Tuzlić pointed out that he had learned from the Bazaar conversations that his aunt Tahira-hanuma Tuzlić had planned to endow most of the property she owned. In his explanations, he pointed out that she was doing it outside the law and domestic customs, all with the aim of preventing him, as the closest descendant of the respectable Tuzlić family, from reaching his inheritance. In addition, he stated that in the past few years, his aunt Tahira-hanuma Tuzlić has been behaving wastefully, giving away parts of her property without a valid reason. He especially pointed out the unjustified donation of a large property in the village of Dubravice in the Brčko district, as well as other property of Esad ef. Kulović, which Bakir-beg Tuzlić objected to, because he believed that Esad ef. Kulović has an obligation to Tahiri-hanuma, and not she to him, because thanks to Tahiri-hanuma Tuzlić, he married her sister Rashid hanuma and thus inherited significant property. In his petitions, Bakir-beg Tuzlić pointed out that Tahira-hanuma Tuzlić was a mother-in-law and that she was not capable of making valid decisions, which could put her in an unenviable position. In addition, he said that she was doing it in spite of him, so that he would not have the said property, as the only male heir. After the Sharia Court and the Village District Office in Donja Tuzla rejected Bakir-beg Tuzlić's requests, he addressed the Provincial Government for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Joint Ministry of Finance in Vienna. But neither did they have an understanding for his pleas. Simultaneously with the requests of Bakir-beg Tuzlić, Tahira-hanuma Tuzlić addressed these same institutions, asking them for consent to endow the property in the “Evledijet waqf of Tahira-hanuma Tuzlić”. After the above-mentioned institutions determined that there were no obstacles to the endowment, the Provincial Government finally, on November 2, 1907, gave approval for the endowment of the said property. The process of endowment was confirmed at the Sharia Court in Tuzla by a waqfnama, which appointed the mutevelija “Evladijet vakuf Tahire-hanume Tuzlić”, and established the rules of its use for humanitarian, religious-educational and economic-social purposes. In this way, this waqf was given to the community for use, and it served its intended purpose for several decades, until the establishment of communist rule after World War II, when this waqf, like many others in Bosnia and Herzegovina, came under fire from numerous processes. This waqf is interesting for several reasons. It was one of the larger waqfs created in Austro-Hungarian times, and behind the said waqf stood a woman as a waqif. Therefore, we considered it important to give some important facts related to the procedure of endowment of the endowment, and to point out some important characteristics of the same.
