Abstract:
In 1927, Claude Flight proposed that the linocut, a comparatively new art form, could create a new relationship between the modern public and modern art. It was, he theorised, ideally suited for the mass market as it was relatively small, it was relatively cheap, and its directness accorded with the spirit of the modern age. Many works by Flight and other artists of the Grosvenor School, at which Flight taught from 1926 to 1930, democratically aligned artist, subject, and viewer and focused on scenes of contemporary public life, from manual labour to recreational sports, mass spectator events to commuter experience. This article investigates the ambiguous middlebrow position of the Grosvenor School linocuts, which never achieved the widespread popularity that Flight anticipated or cultivated the broad, aspirational audience he envisioned for these works. It poses that Flight's utopian vision for mass modernism was frustrated by his limited comprehension of the ‘average man’ his linocuts sought to address, and the absence of suitable critical and commercial apparatus to enable the public to meet him on the terms he desired.

Abstract:
This essay discusses the colour linocuts of the Melbourne-born artist and illustrator Ethel Spowers. Although Spowers was a key figure in modern art and design in Australia during the 1920s and 1930s, to date her linocuts have received little critical attention and are appraised only briefly and collectively as part and parcel of the Grosvenor School of Modern Art in London, where she studied for several months under the guidance of Iain Macnab and Claude Flight. This essay argues that her modernism provides an important contrast and supplement to accounts of modern everyday life offered by her British and European colleagues at the School, and canonical British and Anglo-American modernism more generally. Rejecting a view of modern life defined in terms of homogenisation, social alienation and adult experience, I discuss how Spowers's rhythmic compositions express choreographies of community and positive affect, and focus on the experience of children.

Abstract:
In the theory and practice of teaching primary school students great deal of attention is paid to the issue of training effectiveness and, in particular, to the issue of cognitive activity’s activation in students. The author considers the following forms of work with students: modeling of lessons, development of the technological card of a lesson, business game, and master classes. Students master methodical receptions: “transformation” into natural object, ordering of artistic images, and transformation of one art sample into another. The lessons developed by students were approved in practice at elementary school. Teachers noted positive influence of art means on activation of cognitive activity of elementary school pupils.

Abstract:
For more than ten years, modern psychology and pedagogy have preferred effective and original educational tools, the main purpose of which is to reveal the potential of modern art, the development of critical thinking that can be used in the study of various school subjects. Modern society, like life, is very demanding, it needs citizens who are able to think flexibly and dynamically, are able to navigate the variability of life, can make unusual decisions. Critical thinking of contemporary art is a jewelry tool for understanding the new educational paradigm focused on the adaptation of free communication in the world. Life proves that thanks to creativity, flexibility, the ability to generate new ideas, society will be easier to navigate in the most difficult times. How to prepare primary school students for life activities and fruitful work? Why should teachers and their students understand contemporary art? Scientific research (Kolotilo O.) proves that the main tasks of teaching an integrated course «art» are to reveal creative talents, stimulate artistic and figurative thinking, education of aesthetic taste of the individual in early school age and later independent life. In the process of a brief review of the history of modern art, the development of cultural values, the development of artistic and figurative thinking is formed on the basis of the idea of «beautiful». The demand for creative, intellectually developed people is very high. The classification of types of thinking has its origins in the works of Aristotle, who built the sphere of «speculation» and «pure reason» on a system of universal abstractions. Psychologists, in turn, consider several types of thinking: visual, concrete and abstract, intuitive and critical thinking. The scientific prism of intellectual and practical activity emphasizes the unity of thinking with the feelings of perception of the world around. Thanks to critical thinking, the child goes beyond sensory cognition. L. Masol, S. Zhupanin and F. Shchegel agree that the methodological basis for understanding the essence of the artistic image are the philosophical provisions of the theory of knowledge, interpret thinking as a holistic expression of human essence, where feelings and imagination provide diversity of implementation. Each of us is an artist, and creativity brings us great pleasure. In art, a person gets many opportunities to express their feelings and emotions. Creative talents in children are no longer perceived as internal uncontrolled processes. Creativity – a constant companion of child development, and in a broader sense – a necessary condition for existence. With the help of an integrated art course introduced by the New Ukrainian School, primary school students expand their knowledge of the ideas and features of contemporary art and develop skills to implement various components of contemporary art in their professional activities. Abstract:
This article is an attempt to characterize the influence of Volodymyr Shapovalov and the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts on the formation of the features of Kharkiv art ceramics in the late twentieth – early twenty-first century. The present article identifies and analyzes the nature of these features, which are an organic combination of scientific knowledge (philosophical, mathematical, technological) with the theory and practice of art. The thesis is that due to creative and pedagogical activity of Volodymyr Shapovalov, there is the only phenomenon in Ukraine, when the Academy, where the main emphasis is on the easel art and design, manages to organize a group of artists who have chosen ceramics as the main material for their creative pursuits and implementation. In fact, there emerges a school that demonstrates fundamentally different approaches to ceramics from those which are used in traditional pottery and ceramic schools. It is based on the “layering” of the work, the search for harmony in the embodiment of philosophical reflections and technological experiments in ceramics, on narrativity, on the attempt to understand the inner state of things. Attention is drawn to the peculiarities of the author’s method of mastering the theoretical and practical knowledge of ceramics. A certain set of special characteristics of Volodymyr Shapovalov’s creativity is defined and the presence of these features is clearly noticeable in the works of his students: Olexander Miroshnichenko, Olexey Podlipsky, Liza Mamay and Vyacheslav Pasynok. Volodymyr Shapovalov’s artistic language is considered in the context of a direct relationship with nature, close attention to detail, the application of scientific knowledge from various fields for creative and technological experiments in ceramics. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the place and role of Kharkiv art ceramics in the context of modern ceramology and Ukrainian art process.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the analysis of conceptual (scientific) and methodological strategies for designing the content of the regional component of the educational area “Art” on the example of Transbaikal Studies. A new educational sphere “Art” has been introduced into the educational programs of Russian schools. In a multinational state, the federal law “On Education in the Russian Federation” presupposes the implementation of the national-regional component in the lessons of the integrated course “Art”. This actualizes the need for a textbook on the art of Transbaikalia, which suggests a constructive reformatting of the definition of the content of the subject, which, in our opinion, should be preceded by an analysis of the conceptualization of scientific approaches to the selection of sections of the curriculum, subject and thematic components, educational technologies that develop the creative potential of the student. In modern education, the main subject areas of art are a fairly harmonious system of knowledge, value attitudes, artistic skills that ensure the full realization of the student’s creative potential. The relevance of the introduction of new subject areas is determined by the fundamental importance of integrating school education into contemporary art and culture. The widespread use of the figurative representation of knowledge in modern conditions (visual, iconic, pictoral), technical means of creating new imagery and the problems of simulating aesthetic worlds arising in this case, the peculiarities of the cognitive development of modern students (mosaicism, fragmentation, clip-like thinking) determine their perception of art. New sources of student motivation and ways of teaching students in a distance learning environment, current trends in technology, culture and art (D. Bachman-Medic, K. Schwab) have led to fundamental changes in the modern culture of education, the activation of additional resources for the cognitive development of students. Keywords: regional component, educational area “Art”, classical theory of art, design of the content of the subject area, principles of content selection, gaining epistemological agreement, consensus of subject specificity of the course

Abstract:
The aim of the article is to analyse the ways of using creative music-based activities in the educational process. The authors emphasize the marginal role that art plays in contemporary school, including music. At the same time, they emphasize the need to change this state of affairs, convincing about the huge, unused potential of using music-based activities to build relationships, improve mood, develop creativity and emotional and social competence. The use of musical activities on educational grounds may go beyond the typical activities known from music lessons. Building space for experiencing creative forms of contact with art, expression, spontaneous singing or improvisation, enabling multi-sensory art experience, can result in measurable benefits for both students and the teacher, being the answer to the challenges of modern education. An additional benefit of conducting such classes is the opportunity to observe the functioning of students, ways of coping with social situations, and assumed roles in the group. The article presents practical examples of the implementation of musical activities under the “ZA PROGIEM – wyprawy odkrywców project. The reactions of children participating in these activities testify to their great commitment, they also show that properly selected musical activities can have a positive impact on the child's behaviour in a very short time. Conclusions from the implementation of the activities under the project indicate that music-based – or more broadly art-based – activities, present so far, in the presented form, in pedagogy to a very limited extent, may prove to be an effective tool to support teachers’ work and student development.

Abstract:
The article proves the possibility of forming the ability to understand music by primary school students. The influence of program works of the school program on the perception and understanding of music of different genres is proved by concrete examples. The educational influence of works of musical art on the formation of the artistic and emotional sphere of personality is proved. The formation of the ability to understand works of music by primary school students occurs in a certain sequence based on teacher-student interaction, both in music lessons and during extracurricular work on artistic and aesthetic education of primary school children. The collective type of creativity, inherent in the assimilation of the values of musical art, obliges the subjects of the educational process to comply with certain requirements for the organization of joint activities. In accordance with modern music-pedagogical technologies, which enable the effectiveness of the learning process, there are certain requirements for the perception of works of music of different genres and compositional styles provided by the school curriculum. Thus, the quality of the impact of music on primary school students depends on certain factors. Because, according to the school curriculum, music lessons are united by a common theme, which makes it possible to organize work with children in such a way as to give first-graders the opportunity to talk about their favorite music. To do this, prepare and ask the class a few questions, such as: remember what songs you sang or heard from radio and television programs that focused your attention and you liked ?; what song do you dream to sing ?; what dance music do you like Such a conversation should take place in a friendly atmosphere, and children's responses should be supported and evaluated positively. The teacher's tolerant attitude to any thoughts, feelings and expressions of students gives the child confidence in their own abilities, determination and activity in further work.

An important problem of the present is the preparation of young people to live among an increasing number of visual messages that come from the world of traditional and modern art and among visual messages from the media environment. In this situation, it is necessary to change early school art education from the traditional transfer of knowledge into educational settings through which students actively develop visual literacy. The artistic applications presented in the text, available on the websites of American museums, are one of the means leading to this goal. However, it should be emphasized that these applications should be a supplement rather than an alternative to school activities, and their selection and use must be carefully thought over.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the problem of personality-oriented education of students of general secondary education. A special place in this process belongs to the teacher. Emphasis is placed on the need to develop and implement in school practice such approaches that would be focused on the formation of students' ability to build constructive relationships with participants in the educational process in terms of mutual understanding, creative cooperation. The teacher must have a dialogical style of communication with students, cultivating in them equal subjective relationships. The content of the basic principles of personality-oriented music education and upbringing of students is covered: the subjectivity of the relationship between teacher and students (the teacher must have a dialogue style of communication with students, educating them in equal subject relations); innovative teacher training (teacher is constantly improving and uses modern innovative forms, methods and techniques of working with students); own way of the pupil's relation to a musical work, the world around, other people, to itself. (acquaintance of students with technological systems, style of activity of leading teachers of musical art, accumulation of modern methodical receptions, developments, diagnostic techniques, manuals). The pedagogical conditions of this process are offered: the presence of motivation, an important source of which is the musical needs and interests of children; experience of dialogical interaction with art, which teaches the child to understand the artistic language of the work, to realize its essence; teacher's ability to be creative; creation of personality-oriented situations in the lesson; the presence of features of the teacher's thinking (originality, predictability, accuracy, flexibility); creating a helping relationship by the teacher. Application of the personality-oriented approach to the general art education of school-age children, from our point of view, is provided by the following initial positions: the student's personality is a unique phenomenon, so this personality is worthy of respect, even if it is not exemplary; musical development of the child is the goal of the art and educational system of the school; in the process of art education and upbringing the maximum possible atmosphere of success of pupils and a high level of support of their achievements is created; the student is an active and free subject of the educational process, not passively and obediently assimilating the object of study and education; the child is taught not because to think, but because to think and think about art, music in particular; artistic and educational achievements of the student are evaluated not in comparison with other children, but in the dynamics of only his personal positive changes; the teacher perceives the purpose of artistic development of the individual as socially and professionally significant; methodological views of the teacher is a personality-oriented paradigm, the logic of which requires to build the process of general art education so that in the center of it was the personality of the student.

The development of modern technologies, applying pedagogical principles, has enabled a new educational paradigm of e-learning, which rep-resents quality support to teachers in the transfer of knowledge. This paper presents the possibilities of applying an e-learning system in teaching visual arts, precisely in teaching contemporary art. Well-designed and applied teaching content in an e-learning system enables various scenarios of learning, teaching, and testing the knowledge of contemporary art. Contemporary art thus becomes a communication within which the observer becomes an interpreter of the different levels of meaning of an artwork. This re-search, designed as an educational experiment, involved 57 students from two primary schools in Split-Dalmatia County. We found differences in the knowledge and preferences of fourth graders regarding contemporary art with respect to teaching methods. The results show increasing student preferences for contemporary art in a group using the Moodle system and in a group of students creating inspired by contemporary art-works. Students expressed satisfaction with learning about contemporary art using Moodle. The difference between the results of the initial and final testing of knowledge showed statistical significance in the groups that had art lessons. Moodle provides opportunities to learn a variety of content, including contemporary art in primary school.

The paper deals with the implementation of the educational function of school textbooks of the Russian language for fifth-graders with the help of such conceptual spheres as “family”, “friendship”, “motherland”, “nature”, “culture”, “life”, as well as with using them as the foundation for the formation of the students’ linguocultural competence of students, stipulated by the Federal State Educational Standard. The article discusses the approaches of K. D. Ushinsky and A. A. Potebnya to the study of language, as well as the principle of nationality associated with the main concepts that form the worldview of schoolchildren. The author demonstrates the continuity of these views in the modern methodology of teaching native languages using the example of the linguoconceptocentric approach developed by N. L. Mishatina. The paper analyzes the role of conceptual spheres in educational literature and compares the approaches of different authors and compilers of teaching materials. The author examines three textbooks (edited by E. A. Bystrova, M. M. Razumovskaya, and P. A. Lekant and A. D. Shmelev) included into the federally approved list of textbooks for Russian fifth-graders. The conclusion is that the most extensive range of concepts is presented in the textbook edited by A. D. Shmelev. Therefore, this book exercises its educational and formative function to a greater extent through such categories as good, evil, truth, conscience, love, etc. The paper proposes a number of teaching activities involving the concepts of “family”, “friendship”, “homeland”, “morality”, “culture”, “nature”, and “life”.

In modern fast-paced world, changes are also taking place in the education system. A search is constantly being made for new forms, means, technologies for presenting information in order to increase the volume and improve the quality of assimilation of educational information by school students. Given the current informational oversaturation, there is a need for certain conditions to be presented to educational information, consisting in the supply of knowledge to students in a visually imaginative way by folding information. This is what visualization technology does. We consider the formation of visualization technology in a historical perspective and the ideas about this technology from different scientists. We also consider the features of teaching school students the visual arts based on visualization technology. We describe the process of translating visually obtained information into a visual series. The visualization technology used in the educational process at the lessons of visual art allows you to reach and engage all students, including “visuals”, “audiles” and “kinestics”. The scheme of organization and assimilation of knowledge in the process of visualization is given, taking into account the main features of human memory. The purpose of the article is to research the development of modern circus arts education in Ukraine, the o and creative structure of the training process, its features and functions, and the quality of education. Methodology. The research is based on the empirical data - archival information about the activities of the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Variety and Circus Arts (KMAVCA). This determines the methods’ choice: historical-factographic – to reconstruct the facts in the circus school’s development; structural-functional approach – for consideration of the organizational and creative structure of the training process and its functions; comparative method – to distinguish the disadvantages and advantages of circus education; systematization, etc. Scientific novelty. For the first time the organizational and creative aspects of the modern circus school in Ukraine are highlighted in their structural and functional context, and the circus education’s advantages and disadvantages are covered. Conclusions. Ukrainian Circus Academy is one of the leading schools of circus arts worldwide and it constantly increases its educational and qualification levels. An indicator of the effectiveness of the School is the frequent winning of its graduates and students at international contests, the high demand for Ukrainian circus performers abroad. The main advantages of the Ukrainian Circus Academy are comprehensive, multi-vector, and maximally applied-oriented training, orientation to international recognition, students’ access to prestigious performance stages. Among the weaknesses, there are: underfunding, lack of couches for some rare circus genre, lack of proper training premises, excessively high students’ workload exposure, and the future employers’ non-engagement into students’ graduation projects. The main functions of the circus arts school are professional education, production of circus art acts and performances, career guidance (enrollees’ attraction), popularization of circus arts and training, presentation of Ukrainian circus arts and School abroad, Ukrainian circus arts actors and products promotion.

The relevance of the study. The paper is devoted to the study of the creative activity evaluating problem. The subject of the study is the evaluation criteria. At present, it seems obvious that there is a need to systematize and structure knowledge in the field of theory and methods of teaching fine arts. In particular, special attention should be paid to the problem of evaluating students’ works in the fine arts lesson. Despite the fact that the Federal State Standard of General Education sets requirements for the development of the basic educational program, the question of the correct assessment of the creative activity of students remains open for modern teachers. In this regard, the purpose of this paper is to study the specifics of evaluating creative activity and its results in a fine art lesson at school. Results and discussion. The classical five–point assessment system is not fully sufficient in fine art lessons, therefore, an internal one–hundred-point assessment system should be included, which would clearly indicate strengths and weaknesses of each student. Conclusion. The assessment of students’ creative achievements is a multifaceted process that requires taking into account a number of students` characteristics and the clear and consistent understanding of the criteria apparatus.

Abstract:
The first edition of the ECA European Crystallography School (ECS1), to be held in Pavia (Italy) during the course of IYCr2014, has found good balance between two apparently diverging goals: (i) to help students and young researchers to find their way in modern science, while keeping a special focus on the molecular and crystalline structure to interpret properties and functionality of materials; (ii) to raise the social and academic awareness of the great advances that crystallography has allowed and will allow to many branches of sciences. Students may choose between two formulae, i.e. a 6-day course with lectures and hands-on sessions held by renowned scientists, covering the state-of-the-art of crystallographic methods, theories and applications, at the same time indicating their future perspectives and cutting-edge aspects, or a 10-day Erasmus Intensive Programme, including a 3-day preparatory course and granting 3 ECTS credits. IYCr2014 is a unique opportunity to stimulate and ignite widespread interest in crystallography; therefore, some frontier seminars will be open to University faculty members, students, and to the general public. Efforts will be made to create a nice and friendly environment, with the goal to provide chances for future collaborations. Students will be invited to bring a poster showing their research results, projects or scientific interests. This will allow students to discuss their ideas with experienced crystallographers and favour aggregation. The programme received good support from scientific institutions and vendors, and a great response from the students: more than 110 pre-registrations from 33 countries were already received at the time this abstract was prepared, showing that there is a real need for both fundamental and advanced teaching in crystallography. We hope that this format will be continued and improved so as to provide a stable, periodic rendezvous for students and researchers under the common theme of crystallography.

Abstract:
Recently, an increasingly urgent problem of the modern school, uniting the efforts of psychologists and teachers, is the problem of social disadaptation, as a phenomenon that prevents the full-fledged personal development of a student, his socialization and complicates the educational process. Everywhere there is an increase in the number of children in school with signs of social disadaptation, expressed in an inadequate form of orientation of the child in school life (in the position of a school-boy) and in educational activities, in unproductive cooperation with adults and peers, in a weak level of ability to self-regulation of their activities, school failure, a high level of school anxiety, aggressiveness and negative emotional attitude towards school. Along with the obvious manifestations of social disadaptation, its early signs are widespread, such as increased school anxiety, overestimated or low self-esteem, decreased learning motivation against the background of good academic performance and discipline, which, due to their “veiledness”, are often not attracted to themselves the attention of teachers and psychologists. Socially unadapted children seem lazy, undisciplined, intel-lectually undeveloped, dependent and stubborn, self-willed, poorly managed. At the same time, the child's behavior is distinguished by indecision, passivity, or negativism, stubbornness, aggression. It seems that children with such behavior do not want to behave constructively, deliberately violate discipline. However, this impression is wrong. The child is not really able to cope with his experiences. The presence of negative experiences and affects in a schoolchild inevitably leads to break-downs in behavior, serves as a pretext for the emergence of conflicts with adults and peers. Despite the close attention to this problem, the problem of finding pedagogically effective methods of up-bringing, types and forms of activity corresponding to the physical and mental development of younger students, contributing to the formation and development of social experience and personality traits, which would help the younger student to build ad-equate relationships with the environment, that is, would be factors of social adaptation. Today, in a number of developed countries, there is considerable experience in the use of art therapy in working with children and adolescents with various emotional and behavioral problems and developmental disorders. There are numerous confirmations of the effectiveness of using this technique in schools, where it acts as a means of not only healing and correction, but also development. The main goal of introducing art therapy into schools is to adapt children (including those suffering from emotional and behavioral disorders) to the conditions of an educational institution, and improve their academic performance. The art therapy program “I and We” allows at the early stages to identify children at risk, the development of emotional and behavioral problems, and contributes to the development of students’ mental qualities and personality traits that are of great importance for their successful psychosocial adaptation. The novelty of the program is associated with the adaptation of modern technologies for working with the child's personal sphere to the peculiarities and conditions of working with children with psychological problems in an educational institution.

Abstract:
The article analyzes current ideas on the problem of conflict resolution by high school students who use different types of art therapy. This area of scientific knowledge is designed to help individuals realize their inner state by creating a visual image, metaphors, symbols, videos; it is the development of a person's inherent creativity, which helps in resolving conflict situations. Through creative self-expression, art therapy actualizes personal resources to overcome contradictory situations and gives way to the accumulated energy, thereby harmonizing the emotional sphere. Creating abstract images, the student finds answers to many relevant questions, explores fears and barriers to communication. These images occur unconsciously and spontaneously, which is why anxiety and resistance to self-knowledge are reduced. This provides a diverse range of tools for working with the emotional sphere of the individual. In this context, the content, historical aspect, specifics of art therapy in the use of higher education by students are analyzed. The types of art therapy in solving students' conflict situations are generalized. According to the study, students in overcoming conflict situations prefer the following types of art therapy: music therapy, phototherapy, isotherapy, bibliotherapy, dance and movement therapy, collage, performance, drama, media art therapy and other types. They are harmoniously complemented by combined logotherapy with the use of virtual communication of social networks, which, in the experience of students, provides a quality constructive result in conflict resolution. The latest and most relevant performance, drama therapy, media art therapy in the format of blogging on various Internet platforms are becoming a separate modern type of art therapy that helps creative self-expression, self-affirmation, self-actualization and self-healing of the student's personality.

Abstract:
Art education has an important impact on the mental and physical development of students. Art education that has been available and open to the public is art learning that is obtained in the school environment or informal education related to drawing and sculpting. Museum MACAN (Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara) is present as the first art institution of its kind in Indonesia which constructs the concept of a museum to be more alive and relevant to society. Researchers try to see another side, namely how Museum MACAN interprets art education on its website. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using Roland Barthes' Semiotics method to analyze symbols that represent art education. Researchers also perceive art education deconstructed by Museum MACAN through its website. The results of this study indicate that there are other meanings regarding art education that are known to the public. Art education now has the meaning of free expression, using more sense of taste, and using the power of the mind to imagine

It is in the primary school that the foundations for the formation of the experience of educators (younger students), their needs, which motivate learning, knowledge and skills, which are formed in different educational environment, different social situations and condition the formation of attitude to them, are laid. The state normative document (The Law of Ukraine "On Education") emphasizes the need for students to acquire key competences that enable the development of successful learning, self-expression, self-knowledge, social adaptation and preservation of their physical and mental state. Such development of education in Ukraine makes it necessary to actively introduce into the educational process the innovative technologies and modern pedagogical approaches, among which artpedagogy is a new trend that integrates theoretical knowledge and methodological developments in psychology, art and pedagogy. With the help of music, drawing, fairy tales, theatre teachers can unite the class, identify problems of the child in time, form their life values, motivate them to study. The professional activity of a music art teacher in the context of educational reform and the introduction of inclusive education as a form of providing equal access to quality education for children with special educational needs, presupposes the need to master innovative technologies for the use of musical art as a method of comprehensive and multidimensional stimulation of personality development, child's condition, behavioural abnormalities, and also as a form of art treatment. One of the effective ways of solving the set tasks before the educational industry is the introduction of innovative, art-therapeutic – humanistic-oriented technology in the educational process, which involves the creation of a psychologically-comfortable educational environment by updating the pedagogical potential by means of art education (vocal therapy, art therapy, music therapy, (etc.)

Abstract:
The purpose of the work is to highlight experimental methodical approaches to the representation of certain aspects of modern Ukrainian vocal art on the example of the organization of research, educational and performing activities of master's students of the Faculty of Arts of V. Hnatyuk TNPU. The research methodology consists in the use of methods of historical and cultural discourse, historical and musicological positions on the problems of vocal art, in the implementation of activity and integrative approaches based on the example of art pedagogy. Attention is focused on the problem of representation of the main problems of the development of modern Ukrainian vocal art on the example of the organization of research, educational and performing activities of future music teachers. Taking into account the tasks of their professional training, the specifics and prospects of their future pedagogical and performing activities, we have already made attempts to extrapolate the history of performing schools to the content of the "Methodology of Music Education" course and the subjects of the school cycle, in particular, the reading of the "Artistic Culture of Ukraine" course during 2019–2020. The scientific novelty consists in the presentation of an integrative approach to the organization of the research, educational and performance activities of master's students on the example of the interaction of teachers of specialized lecture-theoretical ("History of Ukrainian Music", "Contemporary Music"), research courses ("Fundamentals of Music and Pedagogical Research", "Methodology of Scientific research", "Fundamentals of musical interpretation") and practical disciplines ("Vocal") during 2020–2021. A number of examples of research work of master's students are presented (essays, "musical quizzes", questionnaires, etc., related to the problems of modern musical art). A block of master's research materials related to musical Ternopil, with the organization of the competition and festival movement, is separately allocated. Excerpts from essays of master's students on the topic "Show business: pros and cons" are given. As examples of the cooperation of academic supervisors with vocal teachers, the content of master's studies was clarified, respectively - programs of master's students' concerts. For example, creative projects "Song about a song", "Moment". Conclusions. We believe that the best examples of modern pop songs are an important contribution to the vocal art of Ukraine. Their role especially increases in periods of social challenges, war tragedies as a reaction-protest of artists and society in general. At the same time, it is an interesting research material, a high-value performing and educational repertoire, which should be qualitatively presented in performance classes of art institutions. So, the layer of popular musical culture and performance, represented by the activities of famous soloists and bands from different regions of Ukraine, participants of the competition-festival movement in Ukraine and abroad, was and remains the subject of thorough comparative research.

Abstract:
Democracy and citizenship are two values that are closely linked to the education of each individual. Most education systems seek to transform attitudes and enhance individuals’ knowledge by offering courses related to citizenship and democracy. In Greece until the school year 2019-2020, the course “Modern World, Citizenship and Democracy” was taught to 11th grade students. In a sample of 76 students, research was conducted to explore how different works of art can contribute to the expected transformation. Students were given a digital list of concepts related to “Democracy” and “Citizenship and Rights” and were asked to choose a concept and link it to a work of art by submitting their project to a digital repository. The concepts that students mostly chose were racism, democracy, and rights (individual, political, social). In addition, projects were recorded, in which the selected work of art referred to two concepts. The works of art they chose were mainly: painting, cinema, photography, and sketch/comics. The use of the internet as a source of artwork was limited. There seems to be a strong correlation between the choice of concepts and socio-economic reality. In addition, the operation of the digital classroom and the dialogue developed in relation to their projects, strengthened the educational framework, created a variety of perspectives, and contributed to the expected transformation.

Abstract:
The formula of the New Ukrainian School consists of nine key components, one of which is a personality-oriented model of education based on the child-centered ideas. This implies the maximum approximation of education and upbringing of a particular child to his essence, abilities and life plans, providing moral and psychological comfort, refusal to focus the educational process on the «average» student. Therefore, today in pedagogy the problem of individual educational trajectory of youth is actively discussed, which makes it possible to create conditions for the harmonious development of the individual, to meet his educational needs. In general, the concept of individualization of the educational trajectory of students is associated with the process of identifying and developing their abilities, the realization of their own educational goals that meet the needs, opportunities, motivation, interests of modern youth. The purpose of the article is to reveal the features of the formation of the individual educational trajectory of the student in the profile senior school of artistic and aesthetic field of training. Artistic and aesthetic field of specialized training is connected with the core of creative industries (literature, music, fine arts, cinema, television, radio, video and computer games, advertising, architecture, design, fashion, etc.), so it is important to personalize educational path of gifted students with a focus on unleashing their creative potential. The formation of individual educational trajectories of students of the artistic and aesthetic field of specialized education begins with the definition of their life plans, hopes for the future and consists of four stages. The first stage is the study of needs, interests, requests, personal characteristics of students. The second stage is associated with the creation of an individual educational program, which involves the definition of long-term goals; conceptual strategies and approaches to creative development, indicators of their achievements, as well as the selection of content and forms of training. Within the third stage there is a correction of pedagogical influences, creation of a positive pedagogical environment around students, elimination of organizational shortcomings, psychological and pedagogical support of senior students’ creative development is carried out. The fourth stage is related to pedagogical monitoring, which is carried out in order to ensure the quality of this process.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the problem of returning patriotic education to the modern school system. The purpose of the research is to study the features of patriotism formation as an unshakable value in the upbringing of the younger generation. A comparative analysis of the concepts of «patriotism», «citizenship», «nationalism», «internationalism» has shown that historically the education of patriotism in children and youth intersects with the formation of citizenship, national identity, and the organization of friendly interethnic relations. The scientific novelty of the work consists in the interdisciplinary retrospective consideration of the issue involving the ideas of education of citizenship and patriotism of the individual in the team discussed by Soviet teachers A. S. Makarenko, V. A. Sukhomlinsky. The importance of collective forms of patriotic education in the school environment (conversations about citizenship, socially useful work, collective performance of folk music) is emphasized. As a result, it is determined that patriotism is reflected in the concepts of «citizenship» and «internationalism». In contrast to nationalism, patriotism does not idealize the nation, but is evaluated through the prism of «critical» conscience. The efficiency of formation of patriotism among the younger generation is determined by the initiative of the school teaching staff, including the ability of music teachers to fill the lesson of art with spiritual material of nature and a variety of multicultural music world, to organize friendly inter-ethnic relations among students during extracurricular activities.
