This article introduces the development of feminist films, explores the combination of coming-of-age films and feminism, and introduces Greta Gerwigs film history and her film works in the past six years. First, the article introduces the famous women director-Greta Gerwig and her career as an actress and director. Second, it introduces the background of the three films. Through the introduction of three films in the past six years, the paper believes that Greta Gerwig has formed her own unique style of female coming-of-age films. Third, this paper treats of the three ways that Greta Gerwig developed her style. These three ways are: highlighting the female perspective of the film through the mumblecore style, showing the diversity of modern feminist narratives through multiple narratives, and challenging the patriarchal world through the image of an object gazed at by men. Through unique cinematic practice, Greta Gerwig increasingly shows her own characteristics in feminist coming-of-age films.

"Barbie" (2023), directed by Greta Gerwig and co-written with Noah Baumbach, offers a satirical exploration of masculinity in the Barbie universe. This research paper employs Raewyn Connell's "Types of Masculinity" framework to analyze the male characters, particularly Ken, and their representation of different forms of masculinity within the fantastical world of Barbieland. Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) is used to uncover hidden beliefs and social commentary about masculinity expressed through language. The film presents a multifaceted exploration of masculinity, including hegemonic, complicit, subordinate, and marginalized types, challenging and reinforcing conventional gender expectations and contributing to a broader discourse on gender representation in contemporary cinema.

Relasi kekuasaan dan pengetahuan telah tersebar luas di setiap bidang, baik pada bidang sosial, bidang ekonomi, bidang hukum, dan bidang-bidang lainnya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menjabarkan ciri <em>episteme </em>terhadap praktik relasi kekuasaan dan pengetahuan yang terdapat dalam film <em>Little Women </em>karya Greta Gerwig berdasarkan perspektif Michel Foucault; dan (2) menginterpretasikan bentuk-bentuk dan dampak-dampak dari relasi kekuasaan dan pengetahuan yang terdapat dalam film <em>Little Women </em>karya Greta Gerwig berdasarkan perspektif Michel Foucault. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai memandang tokoh dalam film <em>Little Women </em>karya Greta Gerwig dari sisi sosial pada beberapa tokoh, yang mana peneliti menggunakan perspektif Michel Foucault. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan metode penelitian deskriptif. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan menggunakan teknik tonton, teknik simak, dan teknik catat. Analisis data dengan model dari Miles dan Huberman dengan mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Penelitian ini diuji keabsahannya dengan peningkatan ketekunan, triangulasi, dan diskusi. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) ciri <em>episteme </em>terhadap praktik relasi kekuasaan dan pengetahuan dengan ciri wanita yang kaya dengan berbagai cara; dan (2) bentuk relasi kekuasaan dan pengetahuan berupa: (a) pikiran dan perasaaan dengan tiga dampak pada tokoh; (b) perkataan dengan dua dampak pada tokoh; serta (c) perbuatan dengan tiga dampak pada tokoh. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini dapat: (1) menambah wawasan mengenai teori atau perspektif Michel Foucault; (2) menciptakan semangat juang dalam bidang feminisme di Indonesia.

Movies serve as a reflection of real-life interactions, and the characters’ utterances that convey background knowledge, emotions, and intentions. Therefore, Pragmatics field is often used to study their expressions’ meaning, especially with the theory of Presupposition. Therefore, this study aims to identify and classify the types of presuppositions found in Theodore Lawrence’s utterances by reviewing the related study before handing down to the self-investigation. This study utilizes qualitative analysis of the movie dialogues to understand the intentional meaning of the character's utterances in relation to the conversation context, as well as using SLR method (Systematic Literature Review) of the knowledge from other researchers. This study is also supported by several relevant related studies, by using the existing data from theories, journals, and other educational platforms. After conducting the research analysis, the researcher found that lots of related studies use the theory of George Yule (1996) to define the types of presupposition. In other words, the researcher concludes that to analyze Theodore Lawrence's utterance in the “Little Women” movie, the researcher is reviewing the study from the previous researchers that have been conducted this type of presupposition field analysis

Greta Gerwig's Barbie is one of the films that highlights women's gender issues, features various scenes with certain stereotypes, and gets a variety of responses from the audience. This phenomenon is interesting to study about how the audience's reception analysis of the meaning of female gender stereotypes in Greta Gerwig's Barbie Movie. Based on these problems, this study aims to determine the audience's interpretation process of gender messages contained in the film. This research method uses Stuart Hall's reception analysis with data collection through interviews, documentation, and literature study. The informants in the study amounted to 5 Barbie movie viewers who were selected based on purposive sampling technique. The results of this study show that there are variations in the interpretation of 4 indicators of female gender stereotyping messages in Barbie Movies with different position categories, namely dominant, negotiation, and opposition positions. There are certain parts of the informants agreeing to the message of female gender stereotypes displayed in the Barbie Movie, but there are parts when the informants are still negotiating the message, and there are informants who do not agree with the movie message in certain parts influenced by a number of factors Some of the influencing factors are educational factors, environmental factors, and cultural factors which are the basis for interpreting gender stereotypical messages carried out by informants.

Lady Bird (2017) is one of the greatest movies according to the writer, it has a unique aspect from the main character, Christine McPherson, a teenager who lives in Sacramento, U.S. Christine does not want people to call her by her name, but Lady Bird instead. The fact that Christine eventually gives up on making her life up and trying to live her life normally as she should, interests the writer to discuss Christine’s character development. The writer thinks about what Christine McPherson did in the movie is extraordinarily amazing. She changed from a girl that likes to make something up into a girl that accept everything that happens in her life.

Moral values are universal principles that man views to be good and significant, this research teaches fundamental facts about an ideology that teens can begin to acquire at particular school levels, which can be taught to students through the film Little Women. We found 16 essential moral values from the film and also 12 characters that we can learn from. The data collection technique that is being used is qualitative data collection, The subject in this research is the film itself, "Little Women," which has been adapted from the classic novel by Jane Austen. The subject of this research is the writers as teachers using literature work and transitioning it into teaching material with moral values topic.

Uppsatsen önskade undersöka karaktärerna Jo och Amy samt deras relation i Greta Gerwigs film Little Women (2019) ur ett feministiskt perspektiv. Detta gjordes genom att jämföra gestaltningen av dem i Gillian Armstrongs filmadaption av Little Women från 1994 och genom att utgå från Jens Eders karaktärsklocka och feministisk filmteori. Analysen visade distinkta skillnader i gestaltningarna av och relationen mellan karaktärerna samt att dessa innebär ett starkare feministiskt budskap i Gerwigs film. Resultatet visade att Jo hade en än mer feministisk betydelse än i Armstrongs film eftersom hon tydligare motsätter sig hur ett lyckligt slut för en kvinna måste innebära äktenskap med en man. Hon hade också mer tydligt feministiska åsikter och tankar som presenterades i Gerwigs tillagda repliker. Amy fick mer moderna och feministiska värderingar än samma karaktär i Armstrongs film. Amys ambition att bli en duktig konstnär visade enligt denna analys på motivationer utöver de att gifta sig och gjorde att hon indirekt motsäger att hon som kvinna endast är lämpad som fru och i relation till en man. Med hjälp av Eders karaktärsklocka och feministisk filmteori kunde analysen också visa att en karaktärs feministiska budskap kan fokuseras till deras inre aspekter, deras sociala roller, deras symbol och deras symptom. Den yttre aspekten och därmed den visuella njutningen är inte av betydelse för filmens feministiska budskap utan detta kan fokuseras på karaktärernas andra, ovan nämnda, aspekter. Avslutningsvis redovisades hur åskådarens subjektiva upplevelse inte var av väsentlighet eftersom identifiering med karaktärernas känslor och värderingar tillräckligt tydligt förmedlade filmens feministiska budskap.

Previous issue date: 2014<br>No Brasil, embora as cavidades naturais sejam consideradas patrimônios ambientais resguardados por lei, muitas sofrem pressões que acarretam riscos a sua conservação. O
problema deve-se, em parte, à ineficiência da fiscalização do Estado, e ao equívoco de muitas pessoas que se sentem no direito de usufruir indiscriminadamente dos serviços ambientais prestados pelas cavidades considerando-as como bens públicos, e por isto, subjugando-as. Os serviços ambientais podem ser as condições que garantem a sobrevivência das espécies da fauna e flora exclusivas do ambiente cavernícola e muitos outros benefícios sociais, culturais, espirituais, estéticos, recreativos e educativos que satisfazem, direta ou indiretamente, as necessidades humanas. Como são oferecidos de forma livre e gratuita pela natureza, também podem ser utilizados até a exaustão. Diante disso, a valoração econômica tem sido considerada uma importante ferramenta para preservar a manutenção dos serviços ambientais na natureza. Isso não significa taxá-los e colocá-los à venda, mas estabelecer um valor que funcione como um indicador representativo de sua importância econômica e bemestar social. Essa estratégia foi aplicada à Gruta do Salitre, situada no maciço quartzítico da Reserva da Biosfera da Serra do Espinhaço. A proximidade de Diamantina (Minas Gerais), cidade histórica e Patrimônio da Humanidade, eleva o potencial turístico da gruta. A gestão do uso público, realizada por uma ONG (Instituto Biotrópicos), ainda é incipiente e, por isso, carece de apoio para conseguir manter o monitoramento local. Portanto, há uma grande
necessidade de se conciliar as inúmeras atividades que ocorrem na área do afloramento
rochoso da gruta (práticas esportivas e concertos musicais) com a conservação ambiental do ecossistema de caverna. Visando contribuir para o alcance da sustentabilidade da gestão do uso público da gruta, este estudo buscou identificar e valorar monetariamente os serviços ambientais prestados pela Gruta do Salitre utilizando o Método de Valoração Contingente (MVC). Para tanto, no período de agosto a outubro de 2013, entrevistou-se os visitantes da gruta e os moradores de Curralinho utilizando-se questionários semiestruturados com o intuito de identificar os objetivos da visita e avaliar a sua disposição a pagar (DAP) pela conservação do atrativo natural em questão. O valor anual estimado referente aos benefícios gerados pela Gruta do Salitre foi superior a 4 milhões/ano de reais a partir dos dados obtidas dos visitantes, e próximo a 2 milhões/ano a partir dos dados dos moradores de Curralinho. Demais informações contidas nos questionários geraram um banco de dados, cujos parâmetros estudados subsidiarão a adoção de políticas públicas voltadas para conservação ambiental e para a avaliação da viabilidade de projetos empresariais destinados à utilização das potencialidades turísticas desse patrimônio natural. __________________________________________________________________________________________<br>ABSTRACT: In Brazil, although the natural cavities are considered environmental heritage safeguarded by law, many suffer pressures that give rise to their conservation. The problem is due in part to poor enforcement of the state, and the misconception of many people who feel entitled to use indiscriminately the environmental services provided by the cavities considering them as public goods, and therefore, subduing them . Environmental services may be the conditions that ensure the survival of species of fauna and flora unique cave environment and many other social, cultural, spiritual, aesthetic, recreational and educational benefits that satisfy, directly or indirectly, human needs. How are offered free by nature and free form, can also be used to exhaustion. Therefore, economic valuation has been considered an important tool to preserve environmental services in nature. This is not to tax them and put them on sale, but set a value that will work as a representative indicator of its economic importance and social welfare. This strategy was applied to the Salitre Cave, located in the massive quartzite of the Espinhaço Biosphere Reserve. The proximity of Diamantina (Minas Gerais), and historic World Heritage city, raises the tourism potential of the cave. The management of public use, conducted by an NGO (Biotrópicos Institute), is still in its infancy and therefore needs support in order to sustain the local monitoring. So there is a great need to reconcile the numerous activities that occur on the rocky outcrop of the cave (sports and concerts) with the conservation of the ecosystem of the cave area. To contribute to the achievement of sustainable management of public use of the cave, this study sought to identify and monetarily value the environmental services provided by the Saltpeter Cave using the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM). For this, in the period august to October 2013 were collected from visitors to the cave and the residents of Curralinho using semistructured questionnaires in order to identify the objectives of the visit and assess the willingness to pay (WTP) for conservation the natural attraction in question. The estimated annual value related to the benefits generated by the Saltpeter Cave was more than 4 million/year of actual data obtained from the visitors and close to 2 million/year from the data of residents of Curralinho. Other information contained in the questionnaires generated a database, whose parameters studied subsidize the adoption of related to environmental conservation and to evaluate the feasibility of business projects for use of the tourist potential of this natural heritage policies.

Este trabalho teve por objetivo principal estudar as relações sociais e simbólicas de gênero na pré-história brasileira, com base no estudo dos rituais funerários e remanescentes ósseos humanos de populações horticultoras do noroeste de Minas Gerais, que de 1540 anos a.C. a 1540 d.C. ocuparam de forma sazonal e constante a Gruta do Gentio II para a realização de seus rituais funerários. Nosso estudo foi dividido em duas partes, com base na análise de variáveis relacionadas ao ritual funerário (tratamento dado ao corpo, posição, orientação, direção da face, características da cova, distribuição temporal e espacial, acompanhamentos funerários) e aos remanescentes ósseos e dentários propriamente ditos (sexo, idade, fraturas, doenças, linhas de Harris, facetas suplementárias da tíbia, degeneração das superfícies articulares do esqueleto axial e apendicular, além de cáries, abrasão dentária, hipoplasia, doença periodontal, cálculos, abcessos dentários e perda ante-mortem). Dentro de uma perspectiva teórico-interpretativa simbólica, com base na arqueologia de gênero, pós-processualismo e arqueologia cognitiva, e nos métodos analíticos bioarqueológicos, acreditamos que foi possível compreender parte dos papéis sociais, desempenhados principalmente por homens e mulheres, além de adolescentes e crianças, no contexto arqueológico da Gruta do Gentio II, Unaí, Minas Gerais.<br>The aim of this work is to investigate the social and symbolic relations of gender in Brazilian prehistory, based on the study of human funerary rituals and bone remains of horticulturist populations in the northeast of Minas Gerais state who in a seasonal and constant form, in the period 1540 BC to 1540 AC, used the caverns at Gruta do Gentio II to perform their funerary rituals. Our study is divided in two parts based on the variables related to the funerary ritual (handling, position and orientation of the corpse, direction of the face, grave characteristics, distribution in space and time, grave goods) and to the bone and teeth remains respectively (sex, age, fractures, illnesses, Harris lines, supplementary tibia facets, joint surfaces degeneration of the axial and appendicular skeleton, and also caries, dental abrasion, hypoplasia, periodontal illness, calculus, dental abscesses and ante-mortem tooth loss). In a symbolic theoretical-interpretative perspective based on the gender archaeology, postprocessualism and cognitive archaeology, as well as the bioarchaeological analytic methods, we believe that it is possible to understand part of the social roles performed mainly by men and women but also by children and teenagers in the archaeological context of Gruta do Gentio II, Unaí, Minas Gerais.

A difusão dessas ações e a respectiva materialidade são seletivamente dispostos e organizados nos lugares para servir aos interesses dos agentes econômicos. Esse uso seletivo e privilegiado do meio geográfico impõe uma dinâmica desigual e uma vida de relações de intensidades distintas entre os lugares determinando as mais profundas desigualdades sociais e territoriais. Uma tal dinâmica econômica, ritmada pelo novo modo de desenvolvimento do capitalismo hoje, impõe a formação de verdadeiros circuitos espaciais de produção. O Circuito Espacial de Produção do Café no Brasil é exemplar dessa nova dinâmica que se impõe ao território brasileiro. Os sistemas de objetos e sistemas de ações que a Cooxupé (Cooperativa Regional dos Cafeicultores em Guaxupé Ltda) comanda no Circuito Espacial de Produção do Café mostram-nos como são impostas verticalidades na área de atuação da Cooperativa, criando nos lugares onde atua, relações de solidariedade organizacional, muito ritmada e organizada segundo uma racionalidade econômica, razão pragmática e capitalista, no mais das vezes cega para tudo o mais que não seja o cálculo, o uso eficiente dos meios para atingir uma única finalidade: a riqueza de alguns.<br>Abstract: The work is aimed to elucidate as the Brazilian territory, in the current scientific-technician-informative period is, according to a rhythm imposed by the system of hegemonic economy and politics actions. The diffusion of these actions and the respective materiality are selectively arranged and organized in places to serve to the interests of the economic agents. This selective and privileged use of the geographic environment imposes a different dynamic and a life of relations from distinct intensities between the places determining the deepest social and territorial dissemblances. Such economic dynamics, measurable by the new way of capitalism today's development, imposes the formation of true production space circuits. The Production Space Circuit of Coffee in Brazil is exemplary in this new dynamics imposed to Brazilian territory. The diffusion of these actions and the respective materiality are selectively arranged and organized in places to serve to the interests of the economic agents. This selective and privileged use of the geographic environment imposes a different dynamic and a life of relations from distinct intensities between the places determining the deepest social and territorial dissemblances. Such economic dynamics, measurable by the new way of capitalism today’s development, imposes the formation of true production space circuits. Abstract Drawing on queer and feminist critiques of prescriptive forms of human flourishing, this chapter analyzes films by Greta Gerwig, Dee Rees, and Desirée Akhavan about young female selves at odds with social expectations. Women directors of independent films in the United States are increasing in numbers and earning wider recognition as mainstream Hollywood is scrutinized for its lack of diverse stories and storytellers. But their careers are often limited by a narrative that favors “coming of age,” both as subject matter of their films and as a script for their own emergence. This chapter shows how the thwarted heroine of Ladybird and the persecuted queer protagonists of Pariah and The Miseducation of Cameron Post engage and complicate developmental narratives of happiness and adjustment. It extends that reading to the filmmakers’ own professional strategies.

This chapter considers the relationship between embodiment and dialogue in American independent cinema, arguing that such filmmakers and performers can aim to create the impression of character interiority and performer improvisation. For example, speech can be scripted to changes direction, while actors are called upon to deliver dialogue as though thinking ‘out loud’. In addition to exploring distinctive verbal and/or vocal styles (including a notably fast-paced delivery), the chapter pays particular attention to the expressiveness of hands and mouths. It is argued that gesticulation – or talking with one’s hands – can contribute a sense of live thought to rehearsed dialogue. The analysis includes case studies of the performance styles of Chris Eigeman and Greta Gerwig, whose distinctive voices and delivery are tied to their success as independent film actors. Through consultation with screenplays and interviews, the chapters reveals how independent writer-directors increase their influence on dialogue embodiment by scheduling long rehearsal periods and through written script directions.

This chapter begins with a thank-you letter from a flyspeck hamlet in the Adirondack Mountains given to Gerrit Smith, a radical reformer in upstate New York. The thank-you note was from one of Smith's three thousand Black beneficiaries that remained up in the North Country and still farming as Smith had hoped. With the 120,000 acres that Smith gifted, he gave as many as three thousand Black New Yorkers a reason to leave the city, remake themselves as yeoman farmers, and enjoy the fruits of citizenship when they gained the right to vote. The chapter considers land reform as the other great goal of Smith's giveaway, which Smith deemed quite as urgent as racial justice at the polls. Smith believed that city Blacks would benefit the most from his land gifts in the woods.

Banana cultivation is an important economic activity in the semi-arid region of Minas Gerais, however, diseases such as anthracnose are responsible for great losses that affect this fruit. The objective of this study was to evaluate the time of year and the effect of fungicides recorded on anthracnose intensity in the postharvest of 'Prata-Anã' banana produced in the North of Minas Gerais. The study was carried out from February 2017 to January 2018, with bunches of 'Prata-Anã' banana collected monthly. The central bunches were transported to the laboratory and subdivided into bouquets of three fruits. The fruits were treated with fungicides registered for the crop: imazalil and thiabendazole, immersed for two minutes at the recommended concentrations of 2 mL.L-1 and 0.92 mL.L-1, respectively, throughout the year. The fruits immersed for two minutes in water were the control treatment. Disease intensity was assessed by the severity of anthracnose in the fruits and the area under the disease severity progress curve (AACPS) in the fruits was calculated. The experimental design was completely randomized, consisting of three treatments, twelve evaluation periods, five replications and three fruits per replication. The data were submitted to analysis of variance and the means were compared using the Scott-Knott test (p<0.05). The fungicide thiabendazole was inefficient for the control of anthracnose in the postharvest of 'Prata-Anã' banana. The distribution of rainfall interfered significantly with the development of anthracnose. Treatment with the fungicide imazalil showed the lowest AACPS values throughout the year.

Chapter eight is a musical profile of the Minas Gerais capitol, Belo Horizonte, planned and constructed in the mid-1890s. One focus is to continue the fine art music narrative started in chapter four through discussion of musicians, institutions, and ensembles that engendered European-derived symphonic and chamber music. The chapter also includes panoramas of popular music, nightlife, and descriptive explanations of cinema, radio, and carnival. The many names are meant to illustrate the complexity of the city's musical birth, and its relationships to the rest of the state, the rest of Brazil, and to the past. For instance, the topic of bands is continued, and the great Minas School of Composers discussed in chapter four leads to twentieth-century composers. The time frame, ending in 1960, helps to frame the following chapter on the Corner Club popular music collective, which has its start in the early '60s in Belo Horizonte.

The report presented is not a scientific research, but rather the practical experience of the formulation of public policy for the systemic adoption of Creative Learning as a pedagogical approach and subsequent curricular integration. The formulation of this public policy was adopted from a cartographic perspective. It can be inferred that the recovery of this educational loss, resulting from this pandemic crisis, will only be possible with a great collective and democratic work, with the involvement of the teaching staff of the school community, councils, families, organizations, civil society and a lot of political commitment. Therefore, it is necessary to unite all social subjects in favor of the recovery and improvement of public education.

The years immediately following the signature of the Locarno treaties in October 1925 are usually seen as an era of détente in European, particularly Franco-German, politics. There seemed to be a lull in the Ligue’s fixation on the problem of war origins, but it was only an appearance. Other issues briefly took centre stage, but even they were discussed in terms redolent of concerns from the Great War. Some members of the minority began to publish in a new journal, Evolution. An event of signal importance was the publication of a book by René Gerin and Raymond Poincaré on war responsibilities. There was huge debate over the Pierre Renouvin/Camille Bloch thesis which sought to limit the importance of Article 231. On the eve of the Nazi seizure of power, the Ligue devoted its 1932 Congress to the controversy over the peace treaties of 1919. It was too little, too late.

Perteklinė gamyba ir neatsargus vartojimas lėmė didelį drabužių kiekį, kuris atsiduria sąvartynuose. Tai prisideda prie pasaulio šiltnamio efektą sukeliančių dujų išmetimo, skatina miškų naikinimą, taršą, klimato kaitą ir ekosistemų nykimą. Gamybos procesas taip pat generuoja tekstilės atliekas, padidindamas bendrą mados pramonės taršos kiekį. Tvarios mados koncepcija atsirado kaip priešprieša greitajai madai. Verslai pradėjo keisti gamybos procesus į tvarius, o vartotojai atsakingiau renkasi, kiek ir kokių gaminių perka. Tvarumas mados industrijoje tampa vis svarbesnis šiandienos pasaulio kontekste, todėl tvarios mados įtraukimas į rinką tampa svarbiu verslo aspektu. Daugelis mados gamintojų įsitraukia į tvarios mados pramonę, siekdami sumažinti žalos aplinkai mastą. Apžvelgiant madą kaip visuomenės reiškinį, kurį formuoja pokyčiai ir kuris savo ruožtu išreiškia tuos pakitimus, straipsnyje pateikiamos vertingos įžvalgos ir svarbiausi veiksniai siekiant tvarumo madoje. Vartotojai vis labiau suvokia neigiamą greitosios mados pramonės poveikį aplinkai ir visuomenei ir ieško alternatyvių variantų. Straipsnyje analizuojami mokslinės literatūros šaltiniai, aprašantys greitosios ir tvarios mados veikimo principus. Akivaizdu, kad greitosios mados industrijos veikimo modelis paremtas trumpesniu gamybos laikotarpiu už mažesnę kainą, renkantis pigesnius audinius ir išnaudojant besivystančių šalių žmonių darbo jėgą. Šis mados industrijos sektorius labai prisideda prie aplinkos taršos ir skatina vartotojiškumą visuomenėje. Tvarios mados aktualumas mados istorijoje žymi lūžį – nauja ne visada yra gerai. Viena iš tvarių alternatyvų greitajai madai yra dėvėti drabužiai, kurie paskutiniu metu tampa vis populiaresniu vartotojų pasirinkimu. Madoje terminas „antrų rankų prabanga“ ar vintažinis, skamba kaip šių dienų mados paradigma. Ši paradigma mados pasaulį verčia aukštyn kojom, kartu atverdama kelią į atsakingą ir sąmoningą vartojimą. Šiandien, Europos širdis užkariavęs lietuviškas pasididžiavimas, internetinė drabužių platforma – „Vinted“, su misija antrų rankų prekes paversti pirmuoju pasirinkimu visame pasaulyje, įvardijamas kaip vienas sėkmingiausių startuolių ir tapo pirmuoju 2023 m. Objective: Delay in breast cancer treatment can lead to advanced stages of the disease and higher associated mortality. The north of Minas Gerais is a transition area between the southeast and northeast of the country, has a vast territorial extension, and has a great social need, where there have been no previous studies on breast cancer diagnosis and treatment delay. Thus, the objective of this study was to analyze the time elapsed between detection, diagnosis, and treatment in patients with breast cancer treated at a High Complexity Care Unit in Oncology (UNACON) in the north of Minas Gerais, identifying breast cancer treatment delay-associated factors. Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study that evaluated secondary data, analyzing the total interval (defined as the time elapsed from the first symptom or mammographic abnormality to treatment initiation) and associated factors for treatment delay in breast cancer patients at an oncology referral center in the north of Minas Gerais. A logistic regression model was used to define the associated factors, assuming a significance of up to 5% in the final model. In all, 300 medical records were analyzed between 2016 and 2018. All ethical precepts for conducting the research were respected. Data collection was authorized by the health institution. The research project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the State University of Montes Claros (no 3.840.184/2020) as recommended by the guidelines of Resolution No. 466/2012 of the National Health Council of the Ministry of Health. Results: The median time of the total interval was 179.5 days, with 76.0% of patients presenting a delay in treatment initiation. The chances of delay in the total interval were greater in patients with lower education (odds ratio [OR]=2.01), with access to public cancer centers (OR=4.47), patients diagnosed by clinical examination (OR=2.24), and with brown and black skin color (OR=2.00). Conclusion: An important delay in treatment initiation for breast cancer patients was observed, and the associated variables highlight social inequalities. Therefore, it is recommended that more equitable strategies for women’s health care be adopted in northern Minas Gerais.

In this study deformation and breakup of a falling drop which is surrounded by another liquid are modeled numerically. The drop is influenced by an external electric field which is applied uniformly on the side walls of the domain. An open-source volume-of-fluid solver, Gerris with dynamic adaptive grid refinement has been used for numerically modeling the three-dimensional deformation of a falling droplet. The numerical results are presented for various values of density ratios and electrical conductivity and permittivity. The current numerical results are compared with previous experimental and analytical works which shows a great agreement between them.

Spreading electoral propaganda using Online Social Networks (OSNs) during elections is an important problem and novel approaches are necessary to mitigate its effects. The lack of automatic electoral propaganda detection supports candidates which makes true digital podiums have emerged for candidates to spread their ideas, fight opponents, and ask for votes during the pre-electoral period. In Brazil, it is prohibited by law to declare candidacy in a political election and to make any (explicit or implicit) request to vote ahead of time. In this context, this work presents a system named Campanha Eleitoral Legal to help the detection of this type of propaganda on X (formerly Twitter) adopted by Ministério Público de Minas Gerais (MPMG). Our system is able to collect, categorize, and highlight posts that contain a high probability of being electoral propaganda. Thus, this system can be great tool for Brazilian authorities

The Minas Gerais region is recognized as one of Brazil's largest iron ore extraction areas, the world's second-largest producer. During mineral extraction, tons of tailings are generated and stored in dams. In parallel, a challenge in the Civil Engineering and Architecture sector is presenting construction solutions with a lower environmental impact. Among these, rammed earth is a construction technique with great sustainable potential due to the possibility of lower embodied energy than conventional techniques. Because of this possibility of interaction, this paper proposes to analyze the potential use of iron ore tailings (IOT) as a physical stabilizer, acting as a granulometric corrector of rammed earth. No investigations were found regarding using RMF in rammed earth in civil construction. It was found that it is possible that the use of IOT may be viable for soil size correction in rammed earth or as a substitute for base material. This is due to the physical, chemical, and mineralogical characteristics of RMF being suitable for this technique, especially when sand, fine sand, or silt percentages are required.

From the analysis of the state of conservation of the object, four important points were considered to support the proposed treatment: stability, reversibility, aesthetic legibility, and the potential oneness conceptualized by Cesare Brandi, which aimed at the stability of the material that would guarantee the potential oneness of the work without creating a historical and artistic falsehood. These points are directly linked to the modern techniques and resources used, as well as the intention to maintain the integrity and authenticity of the work. The entire polychrome process was of great importance to acquire its stability, due to the presence of four types of lacunae. Lastly, the chromatic reintegration, in which the pointillism technique was used, aimed to be distinguishable from the pictorial layer of the work. Therefore, this study aims to present the restoration process of a polychrome wood sculpture and, mainly, to demonstrate the importance of chromatic reintegration to insert and ensure aesthetic legibility and a potential oneness of the work.

No estudo da arte antiga, uma das questões metodológicas mais importantes se refere à importância da análise contextual para que se possa compreender adequadamente o significado, a função e o valor próprio do documento do passado. Tal questão se torna especialmente relevante quando da necessidade de analisar documentos que, como no caso do mundo antigo, são forjados dentro de contextos dificilmente discerníveis em termos de unidades completamente autônomas entre si, pois o que se tem notado com cada vez mais freqüência nos estudos mais recentes é a existência de tantas e diversificadas “redes de significados” (C. Geertz) que permeiam ou não outras tantas redes de contatos na Antigüidade, que fica muitas vezes praticamente impossível, do ponto de vista metodológico dos significados dos artefatos, de se individuar de forma “clara e distinta” o que seja exatamente um produto de uma cultura em contraposição ao de uma outra cultura, sem que com isso se incorra mais uma vez no preconceito, historicamente formulado, da existência de uma cultura superior e, portanto, central, junto de outras mais periféricas. Pois como distinguir, do ponto de vista do significado, um artefato como sendo superior a outro? Assim, partindo do caso específico da recepção da arte grega pelos Etruscos ao longo do primeiro milênio antes de Cristo, gostaríamos de apresentar, na presente comunicação, algumas considerações gerais de ordem teórico-metodológica sobre a importância da análise contextual e de como podem ser evitados alguns equívocos de cunho eminentemente etnocêntrico na consideração da arte antiga.

Microturbines have showed good perspectives for the distributed generation of the electricity in low capacity range, because they have high reliability and simple design (high potential for a cheap manufacture and in large scale). Besides, this technology must have a great application in systems of cogeneration of the public service (malls, hotel, hospital, etc.) and in the distributed generation of the electricity in the developing countries in order to get a reliable operation system, in a range of power compatible with the isolated communities. In Brazil, The Thermal Systems Study Group (NEST) of Federal University of Itajuba´ (UNIFEI) sponsored by The Energy Company of Minas Gerais (CEMIG), are developing a project of experimental valuation of the system with microturbines for electricity generation fueled with natural gas and diesel. The objective of this paper is to show an economic evaluation which presents the generation costs and the payback period with the Capstone 30 kW natural gas microturbines business in three cases: microturbines operating on base load in gas station, microturbines operating on peak shave in the industry and a microturbine cogeneration system operating in the residential segment. It was considered the cost of microturbines at this moment and the projection for the future, as well as the cost of electricity and natural gas in Brazil. An economical analysis was carried out for different variables involved and the results show the Capstone 30 kW natural gas microturbines business are feasible firstly in cogeneration cases which is possible to get until 3 years of payback period. Besides, the return on the investment have shown improvements with the incentive of the natural gas distributing companies and with the rises in the electricity price of Brazilian utilities.
