Abstract:
Banded iron formation (BIF)-related country rocks at the northern limit of the Mbalam iron ore district constitute part of the Archean to Proterozoic greenstone belt of the Congo Craton (CC). In this study the petrology of BIFs and amphibolites from the lower part of the Njweng ridge is presented in a bid to decipher the source of the sediments and their inherent iron enrichment. The BIFs vary from oxide to silicate facies categories, composed mainly of magnetite bands alternating with quartz bands and their mineralogy is dominated by magnetite, hematite and quartz. The amphibolites contain quartz, magnetite, amphibole, biotite, garnet with a distinct schistocity. The Fe2O3 and SiO2 content of the BIFs reach highs of 54.55 wt% and 57.83 wt%, respectively. The average Fe2O3 content of 46.7 wt% coupled with SiO2 and Al2O3 as deleterious elements indicate a relatively low-grade iron ore. Gold content reaches a maximum of 1.1 ppb. Low Al2O3, TiO2 and High Field Strength Elements (HFSE) indicate BIF derivation from detritus-free chemical sediments. Their Fe/Ti, Fe/Al and Si/Al ratios are typical of marine BIF systems with hydrothermal overprint. On Post Archaean Australian Shale (PAAS)-normalized Rare Earth Elements-Yttrium (REE-Y) patterns the BIFs present a slightly negative Ce anomaly and positive Eu and Y anomalies; characteristics typical of modern seawater. The amphibolites are enriched in Light Rare Earth Elements (LREE) relative to Heavy Rare Earth Elements (HREE) and show peaks of Y, Nb, La Ta and their Au content attains a maximum of 1.7 ppm. Gold contents in the BIFs and amphibolites indicate the BIF-related country rocks as a potential primary source of the alluvial gold mined in the Mbalam district.

Abstract:
Emerging market (EM) central banks have made remarkable progress in improving their policy frameworks and communication over the past two decades. Their transparency has improved dramatically; the readability of their statements has been better overall than in advanced economies; their focus on inflation has been sharper; several have proven to be better inflation-forecasters; and they have been more sparing in their use of “forward guidance”, which reduces data-dependence. All this has served them well in the post-Covid period of high inflation. EM central banks have recently outperformed central banks from the advanced economies in two critical respects: addressing and appropriately communicating post-Covid inflationary pressures in a timely manner, and avoiding banking sector stress during the monetary policy tightening cycle. EM central banks also started easing monetary policy from early/mid-2023, ahead of the Federal Reserve and ECB, although reducing inflation sustainably will be the ultimate test of their framework. This study demonstrates these points through the prism of central bank communication, using novel artificial intelligence (AI) methods. We conclude with policy lessons for both EM and advanced country central banks.

Abstract:
This essay draws attention to some of the important aspects of, and learnings from, Irving Fisher’s work. Fisher was the first economist to subject big volumes of data to analysis. He was one of the founders and first president of the Econometric Society. His name is associated with the quantity theory of money. He researched the purchasing power of money, index numbers, created the so-called Fisher index, wrote about the theory of interest rates, economic cycles, dwelled upon debt deflation and the theory of the Great Depression. He was one of the first advocates of abandoning the gold standard. He also drew attention to the psychological motives of the behaviours of economic actors, so the theories of Thalerian behavioural economics can regard him as their predecessor. His insight was used in managing the financial crisis of 2008. The steps towards reforming bank regulation can specifically be regarded as such measures, while Modern Monetary Theory stretched back as far as his thoughts on the regulation of the creation of money, i.e. the Chicago plan.

Abstract:
Recently, cross-dataset facial expression recognition (FER) has obtained wide attention from researchers. Thanks to the emergence of large-scale facial expression datasets, cross-dataset FER has made great progress. Nevertheless, facial images in large-scale datasets with low quality, subjective annotation, severe occlusion, and rare subject identity can lead to the existence of outlier samples in facial expression datasets. These outlier samples are usually far from the clustering center of the dataset in the feature space, thus resulting in considerable differences in feature distribution, which severely restricts the performance of most cross-dataset facial expression recognition methods. To eliminate the influence of outlier samples on cross-dataset FER, we propose the enhanced sample self-revised network (ESSRN) with a novel outlier-handling mechanism, whose aim is first to seek these outlier samples and then suppress them in dealing with cross-dataset FER. To evaluate the proposed ESSRN, we conduct extensive cross-dataset experiments across RAF-DB, JAFFE, CK+, and FER2013 datasets. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed outlier-handling mechanism can reduce the negative impact of outlier samples on cross-dataset FER effectively and our ESSRN outperforms classic deep unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) methods and the recent state-of-the-art cross-dataset FER results.

Abstract:
Ferrum is one of the important nutrient sources for algae in lakes. The changes of concentration in water body have great effect on the formation of dominant algae. Microcystis aeruginosa, Scenedesmus quadricauda and Cyclotella were examined in M11 culture medium which included different Fe2+ and Fe3+ concentration. Growth curves of these three algae were fitted by logistic growth-model, respectively. The maximum biomass K, inflection t and growth rate µ of those algae were investigated. The effects of Fe2+ and Fe3+ on the growth of algae were investigated by using the Monod equation. The semi-saturation constants were calculated. The results showed that the maximum biomass of these three algae did not increase with the increasing of Fe2+ and Fe3+ concentration. Low concentration of Fe2+ (200-500 mg/L) and high concentration of Fe3+ (2000-5000 mg/L) were more suitable to the growth of three algae. The sequence of the maximum biomass was: Scenedesmus quadricauda>Microcystis aeruginosa>Cyclotella.

Abstract:
This study discusses the institutional change of Chinese early childhood education quality assurance institution (ECEQAI) from the three dimensions of the perspective of historical institutionalism of that refer to the external environment, dynamic mechanism containing with nation-market-society, and the invisible ideology of the institutional change. Chinese ECEQAI was divided into five historical periods, which were 17 years after the founding of China (1949-1966), the Great Cultural Revolution (GCR) period (1966-1976), the early stage of Reform and Opening-up (RO) (1976-1995), the social change period (1995-2010) and the new period (2010-now). This study also concludes five separate change models for Chinese ECEQAI that correspond to the five periods. The first was a compulsory and gradual institutional change model influenced by the Soviet model and dominated by national power. The second was compulsory and radical change model controlled by the counter-revolutionary group. The third was a compulsory and gradual institutional change model dominated by national power. The fourth was induced and gradual① institutional change model driven by market power and forced by society power. The fifth was a compulsory and gradual institutional change model led by national power and forced by society power. Finally, the future change direction of China’s ECEQAI was further pointed out, that was the government-leading and tend to balanced three-pole power model of “Nation-Market-Society”, as well as the “three-pole power relationship” of indepth communication and positive interaction.

Starting point of this paper is a reconstruction of the key argumentation patterns the extreme right in the German-speaking countries use for supporting their reproduction and population policies. It will then continue with an analysis of relevant narratives, taking the far-right group of ‘Identitarians’ as an example, in particular their campagin Stoppt den Großen Austausch (‘Stop the Great Replacement’), which was initiated in 2014 by their Austrian chapter (IBÖ). Within the framework of a critical discourse analysis, I will investigate how the Identitarians have updated the key argumentation patterns of far-right reproduction and population policies, although basically they only modernized the language of decades-old ideas, and which role gender-specific aspects have played in this context.

Abstract:
Hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, HAp) doped with various transition metals has generated great interest in view of its potential application in a wide variety of fields, including in catalysis as a support with a series of attractive properties. Despite a large number of experimental works devoted to the synthesis and application of iron-substituted hydroxyapatites, problems concerning the location, introduced defects, and charge compensation schemes for Fe2+ and/or Fe3+ cations in the crystal structure of HAp remain unclear. This paper is devoted to the comprehensive analysis of iron (II) and (III) introduction into the HAp lattice by density functional theory (DFT) calculations. We show that the inclusion of Fe2+ in the Ca(1) and Ca(2) positions of HAp is energetically comparable. For the Fe3+, there is a clear preference to be included in the Ca(2) position. The inclusion of iron results in cell contraction, which is more pronounced in the case of Fe3+. In addition, Fe3+ may form a shorter linkage to oxygen atoms. The incorporation of both Fe2+ and Fe3+ leads to notable local reorganization in the HAp cell.

The name of Ferdousi and his heritage, both creative and the legends about him, are a cultural code that plays an important role in the unity of the Persian cultural space, extending far beyond Iran. And at the same time the author of "Shahnameh" became a romantic legend of the West. The image of the poet, who created the greatest work, but did not receive recognition during his lifetime, turned out to be very close to European romantics. As well as the theme of the struggle against tyrants and autocrats, therefore, in many interpretations, Ferdousi appears not only as an unrecognized genius, but also as a victim of persecution.

Abstract:
This paper attempts to study Pari, Pegan, Athigan, the seven chieftains or patrons as deep ecologists. Pari, Pegan, Athigan were the chieftains who ruled some parts of Tamilnadu in Sangam Age. Mentions of their generosity can be found in all sangam literary texts, the paper studies the work called Sirupanarttupadai, one of the idylls in Ten Idylls (Pathupattu). Ecocriticism is the study of the relationship between literature and ecology. It analyzes literary texts to find out the representation of nature in it. This paper studies the chieftains’ acts of benevolence as Deep Ecologist acts, based on the principle of Deep Ecology by Arne Naess who is one of the major proponents of philosophical Deep Ecology movement. It results in finding the deep ecologist ideas behind those chieftains’ acts of generosity, which have been considered mere acts of kindness rather than an attempt to safeguard nature. The study could bring the light of how the Tamil culture and literature promoted nature conservation, which can be used to educate today’s naturally degenerating world about their mindless acts.

Abstract:
The iron mines of Schefferville, at a latitude of 55° N., are the first mines exploited in one of the best provided iron ore regions in the World ; the geosynclinal of Labrador. Their distance from the sea (360 miles to the estuary of the St. Lawrence) is compensated for by the richness of the ore deposits : abundant reserves, high percentage yield, and the quality of the mineral. The ore is mined in open pits ; the main difficulty is the harshness of the climate, which necessitates the interruption of operations from the end of November to the middle of April. The deposits are found in a subarctic taiga zone. It has been necessary to bring in all the workers ; mostly French Canadians, but also some foreigners. All tools and provisions have to be transported a great distance. The ore production is increasing rapidly : 2.25 million tons in 1954, 6 million tons in 1955, and 12 million tons in 1956. It will reach 20 million tons within the next few years. The ore is transported entirely by the railroad specially built to the port of Sept-Iles, from which it reaches, either by the sea route or by the St. Lawrence, the iron-smelting region of the north-eastern United States, where the principal outlets of the Iron Ore Co. of Canada are found. The port of Sept-Iles, which had a population of 5,573 in 1956, compared to that of 1,866 in 1951, could very possibly see its importance increase when the completion of the St. Lawrence Seaway will allow prairies grain, and possibly Pennsylvania coal, to serve as return freight for the iron ore. Close to the mines, Schefferville already has 3,500 inhabitants and has become the largest town in Labrador. Besides its purely mining junctions there are others, in particular that of a supply centre and of a transportation terminus. Its population is becoming progressively more stable and of a more balanced composition. The camp of the first prospectors is thus transformed into a permanently populated centre, of which the legal existence was recognized on the first of August, 1955.

Abstract:
The publication is devoted to the history of the Far East during the Great Russian Revolution (1917—1922). Attention is drawn to the fact that in the period from February to October 1917, dual power arose in the Far East — a kind of form of social compromise. The path to power of the Soviets went through one of the most difficult and tragic periods in the history of Russia — the period of the Civil War, which, according to the modern historical and cultural standard, is considered as part of the Great Russian Revolution. During the Civil War, various political forces launched a struggle for the implementation of their own model of the state structure of Russia. This period is characterized by almost complete disintegration of the state, mass destruction and casualties, a sharp weakening of the country's international position. This state of affairs was taken advantage of by external enemies (and former allies) of Russia. Intervention during the Civil War had a significant impact on its course, duration and fierceness. This process was attended by 14 foreign countries, including such as England, the USA, Japan, France. It is emphasized that Japan played the greatest role in the intervention in the region. The features of the partisan movement, the role of the buffer state — the Far Eastern Republic (FDA) in the victory over the interventionists and representatives of the white movement are considered.
