Abstract:
An environmental kindly technique, subcritical water extraction (SWE) are based on using water as extraction solvent at temperatures between 100 °C and 374 °C. Increasing the temperature at moderate pressure also reduces the surface tension and viscosity of water causes the polarity of subcritical water is comparable to organic solvents. Therefore, the subcritical water could be improved the competency for the extraction. The aim of this work was to study the flavonoid content of Emilia sonchifolia (L.) using different extraction procedures (SWE and the traditional extraction or ethanolic extraction). The results revealed that quercetin, a plant-derived flavonoid, was a major component in both extraction procedures. The use of SWE provided higher quercetin content and antioxidant activity. Quercetin content by SWE and traditional extraction were 45.92 mg/ml and 39.94 mg/ml, respectively. The EC50 (Effective Concentration, 50%) of SWE and traditional extraction were 496 and 555.67 mg/ml, respectively. Additionally, this work demonstrated that the traditional time-consuming techniques for 12 hours of the extraction of flavonoids could be substituted for the SWE technique within 1 hour. Consequently, the capability of SWE technique was elaborately evaluated and revealed on this work. Keywords: Subcritical water; Emilia sonchifolia (L.)

Abstract:
Suppliers would like to capitalize on buyers' willingness to pay a premium for goods that use environmentally friendly (green) production techniques, but they face a problem of asymmetric information: buyers cannot determine if a supplier is environmentally friendly. Since the green technique is generally more costly than environmentally unfriendly (brown) techniques, suppliers would be disinclined to choose a green technique, yielding larger pollution flows. One possible remedy is “eco-labeling,” where a third party certifies suppliers' products. This paper models certification as a noisy test, with green suppliers more likely to pass than brown suppliers. Two models are considered, one where suppliers' production techniques are exogenous (a short-run setting), and one where they can choose their technique (a long-run setting). Results show that eco-labeling can either raise or lower the volume of green units, and raise or lower net social surplus; increases in social surplus are more likely in the long-run.

Summary: In oncological surgery the importance of the sentinel node concept is increasing, as we are capable of reducing the surgical burden of patients and its associated morbidity and preserving adequate oncological safety at the same time. Recently, there has been development of lymph node mapping techniques, where the most promising method appears to be the immunofluorescent one using indocyanine green dye. This technique provides high sensitivity in sentinel node detection in comparison with other existing methods using a dye in combination with a radionuclide. The indocyanine green technique has several advantages, and at the same time, we can use this method in non-oncological indications in gynecological surgery. Key words: indocyanine green – sentinel lymphatic node – oncogynecology

Abstract:
The per cent incidence of seed mycoflora and seed germination of two varieties of green gram or mungbean (Vigna radiata L. var. Pant-2 and Type-44) were studied in freshly collected, six months stored and one year stored seeds. In all, 25, 23 and 25 fungal species were isolated from the seeds of var. Pant-2 collected from godown, shopkeepers and crop filed respectively and 22 fungal species were isolated from var. T 44 collected from godown using agar plate and blotter techniques. Seed mycoflora superficially associated with the freshly collected seeds of both the varieties predominantly consisted of fungi belonging to genera Alternariu, Cladosporium and Curvularia. Dominant fungal species of Alternaria, Aspergillus, Penicillium, Cladosporium and Curvularia were found to be associated with stored seeds. Aspergillus flavus, A. niger, A. fumigatus and A. luchuensis were found to be dominant on one year stored seeds. Deuteromycetes ranked first in number followed by phycomycetes. The number of fungal species was found more by the blotter technique in comparison to the agar-plate technique. The fungal population increased with increasing storage periods.

Abstract:
Green Romaine (Lactuca sativa L. var. Jericho) is one of Malaysia’s trendiest salad greens. It provides many nutrients which vital for human health and body maintenance. This phenomenon has led to an increased in green Romaine production in Malaysia. However, there are several limitations to cultivate this vegetable since conventional planting techniques are still practiced in Malaysia. The present study was undertaken to investigate the efficacy of auxin foliar application on the growth performance and yield of green Romaine grown under the nutrient film technique hydroponic system. The green Romaine was treated with three different application rates of auxin (Indole-3-Acetic Acid); T0, control (0.0 ppm), T1 (50.0 ppm), T2 (100.0 ppm) and T3 (150.0 ppm). The mean value of growth and yield of green Romaine were significantly increased at a lower concentration of auxin application (T1). At this lower application rate, the leaves number of green Romaine significantly increased (P≤0.05) with mean value ranging from 17.0 to 22.0 leaves per plant as compared to the T0, T2 and T3. However, all treated plants do not show any significant increase in term of chlorophyll content. The yields of green Romaine (fresh weight and dry weight) exhibit similar pattern where the auxin foliar application at T1 significantly increased the mean value of the yield parameters with 113.0 – 130.0 g of plant fresh weight while 7.0-10.0 g of plant dry weight as compared to the highest concentration of T3, respectively. This result suggested that a low concentration of auxin helps to increase the growth performance and yield of green Romaine, thus highlights its potential as an effective plant growth promoter for plant grown under hydroponic system.

Abstract:
Abstract This study examined the use of fluorescent powder in detecting latent fingerprints through the dusting method. Five colors of fluorescent powder (orange, green, blue, green-yellow, and red) were applied to photo papers of six colors (green, red, blue, yellow, white, and black). The fluorescence of latent fingerprints was detected using various light sources including UV LED, blue LED, green LED, red LED, warm white, and cold white. The spectra of the light source and the fluorescence intensity of the dusting powder were analyzed to determine their influence on the appearance of latent fingerprints. The fingerprint images were analyzed by counting the number of important points that are more than 7 points, which indicates visible fingerprints. The results showed that the fluorescence of the powder, background, and light source affected the appearance of the fingerprints. When the color of the fluorescent powder matched the color of the light source, the fingerprints were clearly visible. However, if the background color matched the light source, the fingerprints were not visible. When fluorescent powder was dusted on a dark or non-fluorescent background, fingerprints were visible under all light sources. This study suggests that selecting the appropriate color of fluorescent powder and background is crucial for the detection of latent fingerprints using the dusting method.

This research was conducted aiming to describe and analyze the implementation of the public green open space structuring policy in Sidoarjo Regency and to describe and analyze the constraints in the public green open space structuring policy in Sidoarjo Regency. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method with the technique of determining the informants using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation as well as data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that of the four dimensions of policy implementation according to Edward III which includes communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The first dimension result is that communication has not gone well because there is no information delivery to the public in the form of socialization related to green open space. Resources in the implementation of public green open space structuring policies are inadequate. Disposition in the implementation of the public green open space structuring policy is appropriate and the gardening section as the implementer of the green space program. The bureaucratic structure has not gone well due to the absence of SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) as a guideline for program implementation and found several obstacles that hamper the implementation process, namely budget constraints, lack of field supervisors, and lack of community participation due to lack of socialization.

Abstract:
Increases in algal growth have been reported in rivers, reservoirs, and other water resources worldwide, including Korea. Algal overgrowth can result in algal bloom, which has several negative impacts, such as ecosystem degradation and economic losses. Mitigation measures employed in Korea include an algal warning system and survey-based water quality forecast systems. However, these methods are time-consuming and require sample collection from the site. On the other hand, remote sensing techniques that use chlorophyll a are unable to distinguish between different types of algal species. In this paper, we aimed to identify a classification technique based on remote sensing methods that can be used to distinguish between blue-green algae and green algae. We acquired and prepared an algal culture solution and used a hyperspectral sensor to obtain an algae spectrum. Thereafter, we measured the absorption and emission spectra of blue-green and green algae and distinguished them using the instantaneous slope change of the spectrum. The absorption spectra for green algae showed two peaks at 417–437 nm and 661–673 nm, whereas those of blue-green algae showed three peaks at 449–529 nm, 433–437 nm, and 669–677 nm. The results of this study could form a basis for developing mitigation measures for algal overgrowth.

Abstract:
Green space has beneficial impacts on health, and there is increasing interest in how to modify green space to promote use. We identified effective behavior change techniques in environmental interventions that aimed to encourage use of green space. Fifteen studies met the inclusion criteria. Interventions were coded by reviewers using the Behavior Change Technique taxonomy (BCTTv1). Eleven studies reported an increase in green space use post-intervention. Techniques involving physical environment changes (“adding objects to the environment” or “restructuring the physical environment”) were commonly delivered alongside additional techniques such as “restructuring the social environment,” introducing “prompts or cues” and “demonstration of the behavior.” Risk of bias was high or unclear for all, and the quality of evidence was very low. Intervention content was poorly described according to current reporting guidelines. More rigorous evaluations of green space interventions are needed, coupled with full descriptions of intervention content, to allow replication.
