Abstract:
Berbicara tentang falsafah hidup, setiap budaya pastilah memilikinya termasuk dana Mbojo (sebutan lain daerah Bima). Falsafah Hidup yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Bima adalah Maja Labo Dahu. Kata Maja berarti Malu, Labo berarti dan serta Dahu berarti Takut. Jadi arti Maja Labo Dahu secara bahasa jika dirangkaikan berarti “Malu dan Takut”. Maka secara semantik atau maknawi Maja labo Dahu berarti, Maja (Malu) bermaknakan bahwa orang ataupun masyarakat Bima akan malu ketika melakukan sesuatu diluar daripada koridor agama, apakah itu kejahatan, perbuatan dosa dan lain sebagainya baik yang berhubungan dengan manusia ataupun terhadap tuhannya. Dahu (takut), berarti masyarakat Bima seharusnya memiliki perasaan takut untuk melakukan sesuatu kejahatan atau prilaku yang buruk melanggar norma-norma agama dan masyarakat. Persperktif dan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang nilai dan falsafah Maja labo dahu sangat penting dalam upaya melestarikan dan menghidupkan nilai-nilai tersebut di tengah-tengah masyarakat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Bagaimana proses internalisasi dan implementasi nilai falsafah budaya bisa terjadi jika mahasiswa sebagai generasi mudan dan penerus memiliki perspektif dan pemahaman yang keliru dan salah terhadap nilai-nilai budaya tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan tujuan ingin mengetahui bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa Bima terhadap falsafah “Maja Labo Dahu”. Hasil penelitian manunjukkan bahwa falsafah Maja Labo Dahu merupakan falsafah yang Universal yang bisa diterapkan pada semua orang dan semua wilayah, bahkan dunia sekalipun, karena didalamnya mengandung nilai-nilai positif dan sangat bermanfaat, menjunjung tinggi nilai kejujuran dan saling hormat- menghormati sesama manusia. Jika dikaji dan dipahami secara mendalam, maka falsafah ini mengandung nilai Universal, inilah yang dimaksud Etik dalam Perspektif Lintas Budaya
