Abstract:
This study explores the relevance between the missions of the UNAI and the strategic planning of internationalization of Lehigh University. Lehigh University is purposefully selected due to its unique partnership with the UNAI and its role as a “Global Citizenship Hub” in 2011. Though Lehigh University actively implements internationalization plans at home and abroad, which align with the missions of the UNAI, the relevant activities strongly illustrate the hegemony of the West in terms of language, power, and discourse.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Production systems in the structure of economic systems occupy the most fundamental place and act as both initial and basic subsystem of any economic development. There is a tendency to change the forms of production and the study of these process systems poses a wider aspect of their dynamics analysis. The article tries to prove both theoretically and practically that global production networks are one of the most important factors in the innovative transformation of countries and regions. It is concluded due to global production networks, being the channel for the transfer of global knowledge and technical know-how to regional structures, regions of the former periphery have quickly become developed, innovative regions with a specialization in the sector of highly qualified services, production of high-tech products, and generation of scientific knowledge. For transnational companies global production networks reduce their costs and financial risks by sharing with other companies, as well as global division of labor, an important part of global production.

Abstract:
Purpose This paper fills a gap in the literature on branding, as local and glocal brands have not received as much attention as global brands from academics and practitioners and the scarce amount of relevant research done on glocal branding strategies is mainly theoretical or conceptual. Design/methodology/approach This paper therefore defines a model relating brand beliefs (brand quality, brand image, brand familiarity and brand as a social signalling value), brand attitudes and brand purchase intentions. The model is then tested with a sample of different categories/types of consumer brands (local, global and glocal). The influence of the type of brand on these relationships is then analysed. Findings The findings suggest that brand quality is the most important driver of brand attitude for any type of brand, and that the relationship between brand quality and brand attitude, as well as between brand attitude and brand purchase intention, is weaker for a glocal brand than for a local or global brand. Originality/value This paper provides new empirical evidence of the influence of brand type on brand associations and attitude configurations and the effects these attitudes have on buying intentions. This work is also relevant for the managers’ efforts to develop more effective global, glocal and local marketing strategies for brand positioning.

Abstract:
Introduction: Globalization is a fact of life. In addition to having an impact on the economic, social, political, technological, environmental, and cultural spheres of human life, globalization also affects the health care and educational systems. Health-related educational institutions, particularly nursing programs, must be able to turn out graduates who can compete in the modern world. Methods: Studies are systematically found utilizing electronic databases that have been Scopus indexed, such as ProQuest, Science Direct, CINALH, and PubMed. The Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) search terms for the papers in this investigation are globalization AND global health AND nursing. Four articles that fulfill the requirements were left after articles were found using an electronic database search and then chosen based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: This review study discovered that in order for nursing students to successfully navigate the issues of globalization and global health, they must increase their global health nursing competences. Conclusions: The best available data is compiled in this study to help universities and other interested parties create and assess global health nursing competency-strengthening programs for nursing students. Keywords: globalization; global health; nursing

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to set the stage by presenting a sketch of the global economic setting within which the environmental issues, which are our main concerns here, have arisen. It is important to note that this is also the setting within which any human, social and technological responses to these issues and concerns win have to be developed and implemented. There is no use thinking about arrangements that will work only in some other world. This world-the Planet Earth, with all its demographic, physical and climatological characteristics—is the only one we have to work with.
