Abstract:
In this article we investigate generic automorphisms of countable models. Hodges et al. 1993 introduces the notion of SI (small index) generic automorphisms. They used the existence of small index generics to show the small index property of the model. Truss 1989 defines the notion of Truss generic automorphisms. An automorphism f ofM is called Truss generic if its conjugacy class is comeagre in the automorphism group ofM. We study the relationship between these two types of generic automorphisms. We show that either the countable random graph or a countable arithmetically saturated model of True Arithmetic have both SI generic and Truss generic automorphisms. We prove that the dense linear order has the small index property and Truss-generic automorphisms but it does not have SI generic automorphisms. We also construct an example of a countable structure which has SI generics but it does not have Truss generics.

Abstract“Simple generics” with bare plural subjects (e.g.,dogs bark) predicate of a kind a property that the kind “inherits” from its individual members. But what does that inheritance amount to if it is not, likemost dogs bark, based on how many individuals have the property. My conclusion: there is no determinate account of which (fundamentally individual-level) properties can be truly predicated of a kind: generics are not quantificational, and language users’ interests guide judgments on their truth-conditions. At the same time, even “canonical” predications of ordinary predicates of ordinary individuals are not so straightforward as they might appear. Generic claims about social groups show the indeterminacy of truth conditions for simple generics and the relation to stereotypes and sometimes conflicting interests.

A conformally flat hypersurface f:M3→R4 in the four-dimensional Euclidean space R4 is said to be generic if the hypersurface has three distinct principal curvatures everywhere. In this paper, we study the generic conformally flat hypersurfaces in R4 using the framework of Möbius geometry. First, we classify locally the generic conformally flat hypersurfaces with a vanishing Möbius form under the Möbius transformation group of R4. Second, we investigate the global behavior of the compact generic conformally flat hypersurfaces and give some integral formulas about the Möbius invariant of these hypersurfaces.

Abstract:
Abstract Let G be a discrete group with Property (T). It is a standard fact that, in a unitary representation of G on a Hilbert space {\mathcal{H}} , almost invariant vectors are close to invariant vectors, in a quantitative way. We begin by showing that, if a unitary representation has some vector whose coefficient function is close to a coefficient function of some finite-dimensional unitary representation σ, then the vector is close to a sub-representation isomorphic to σ: this makes quantitative a result of P. S. Wang. We use that to give a new proof of a result by D. Kerr, H. Li and M. Pichot, that a group G with Property (T) and such that {C^{*}(G)} is residually finite-dimensional, admits a unitary representation which is generic (i.e. the orbit of this representation in {Rep(G,\mathcal{H})} under the unitary group {U(\mathcal{H})} is comeager). We also show that, under the same assumptions, the set of representations equivalent to a Koopman representation is comeager in {\mathrm{Rep}(G,\mathcal{H})} .

Abstract:
We consider a set generic over the arithmetic sets. A subset A of the natural numbers is called n-generic if it is Cohen-generic for n-quantifier arithmetic. This is equivalent to saying that for every -set of strings S, there is a string σ ⊂ A such that σ ∈ S or no extension of σ is in S. By degree we mean Turing degree (of unsolvability). We call a degree n-generic if it has an n-generic representative. For a degree a, let D(≤ a) denote the set of degrees which are recursive in a.We say a is a strong minimal cover of g if every degree strictly below a is less than or equal to g. In this paper we show that there are a degree a and a 1-generic degree g < a such that a is a strong minimal cover of g. This easily implies that there is a 1-generic degree without the cupping property. Jockusch [7] showed that every 2-generic degree has the cupping property. Slaman and Steel [17] and independently Cooper [3] showed that there are recursively enumerable degrees a and b < a such that no degree c < a joins b above a. Take a 1-generic degree g below b. Then g does not have the cupping property.

The work is devoted to the analysis of problems related to intellectual property rights in the field of pharmaceuticals. In particular, the indicators of low effectiveness of Ukrainian legislation and the practice of its implementation were noted on the basis of the analysis of the annual report of the European Commission on the situation with protection of intellectual property in third countries, which was conducted in 2020. In the course of scientific work the problem of registration of generic drugs before the expiration of the patent for the original drug is covered and the ineffectiveness of the system of protection of the rights of persons-owners of original drugs is noted. In this context, the experience of the United States is considered, in particular in the functioning of the patent linkage system and the Orange Book, as well as their main features are analyzed and the feasibility of such experience for Ukraine is substantiated. The situation with the registration of generics before the expiration of the patent for the original drug, where the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Inventions and Utility Models" noted the vagueness of legislation on the legality or, conversely, the illegality of patent for the original drug. For the practical value of the work and detailed coverage of the problem, the case law in disputes between manufacturers of originals and manufacturers of generics was reviewed and summarized, based on which the negative aspects that are characteristic of the practice of resolving such disputes were identified. In addition, it was noted what is the main economic interest of the parties to the dispute in resolving the case in their favor, including the possibility for the manufacturer of the original drug to hold a monopoly position in the market for some time, and for manufacturers of generic drugs - to accelerate market entry. and cover the costs of creating and distributing a generic drug. In conclusion, the main results of the study are described and the proposed measures necessary for reforming the system of intellectual property rights in the field of pharmaceuticals and achieving a result that does not differ from developed countries and would ensure a high level of protection of life and health countries.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTEnglish-speaking children understand and produce generic expressions in the preschool years, but there are cross-linguistic differences in how generics are expressed. Three studies examined interpretation of generic noun phrases in three- to seven-year-old child (N=192) and adult speakers (N=163) of Mandarin Chinese. Contrary to suggestions by Bloom (1981), Chinese-speaking adults honor a clear distinction between generics (expressed as bare NPs) and other quantified expressions (‘all’/suo3you3 and ‘some’/you3de). Furthermore, Mandarin-speaking children begin to distinguish generics from ‘all’ or ‘some’ as early as five years, as shown in both confirmation (Study 2) and property-generation (Study 3) tasks. Nonetheless, the developmental trajectory for Chinese appears prolonged relative to English and this seems to reflect difficulty with ‘all’ and ‘some’ rather than difficulty with generics. Altogether these results suggest that generics are primary, and that the consistency of markings affects the rate at which non-generic NPs are distinguished from generics.

Abstract:
This paper discusses a Unified Modelling Language (UML) based formal verification methodology for early error detection in the model-based software development cycle. Our approach proposes a UML-based formal verification process utilising functional and behavioural modelling artifacts of UML. It reinforces these artifacts with formal model transition and property verification. The main contribution is a UML to Labelled Transition System (LTS) Translator application that automatically converts UML Statecharts to formal models. Property specifications are derived from system requirements and corresponding Computational Tree Logic (CTL)/Linear Temporal Logic (LTL) model checking procedure verifies property entailment in LTS. With its ability to verify CTL and LTL specifications, the methodology becomes generic for verifying all types of embedded system behaviours. The steep learning curve associated with formal methods is avoided through the automatic formal model generation and thus reduces the reluctance of using formal methods in software development projects. A case study of an embedded controller used in military applications validates the methodology. It establishes how the methodology finds its use in verifying the correctness and consistency of UML models before implementation.

Abstract In the paper we use a special geometric structure of selected one-dimensional continua to prove that some stronger versions of the shadowing property are generic (or at least dense) for continuous maps acting on these spaces. Specifically, we prove that (i) the periodic $$\mathscr {T}_{S}$$TS-bi-shadowing property, where $$\mathscr {T}_{S}$$TS means some class of continuous methods, is generic as well as the s-limit shadowing property is dense in the space of all continuous maps (and all continuous surjective maps) of any topological graph; (ii) the $$\mathscr {T}_{S}$$TS-bi-shadowing property is generic as well as the s-limit shadowing property is dense in the space of all continuous maps of any dendrite; (iii) the $$\mathscr {T}_{S}$$TS-bi-shadowing property is generic in the space of all continuous maps of chainable continuum that can by approximated by arcs from the inside. The results of the paper extend ones obtained over the last few decades by various authors (see, e.g., Kościelniak in J Math Anal Appl 310:188–196, 2005; Kościelniak and Mazur in J Differ Equ Appl 16:667–674, 2010; Kościelniak et al. in Discret Contin Dyn Syst 34:3591–3609, 2014; Mazur and Oprocha in J Math Anal Appl 408:465–475, 2013; Mizera in Generic Properties of One-Dimensional Dynamical Systems, Ergodic Theory and Related Topics, III, Springer, Berlin, 1992; Odani in Proc Am Math Soc 110:281–284, 1990; Pilyugin and Plamenevskaya in Topol Appl 97:253–266, 1999; and Yano in J Fac Sci Univ Tokyo Sect IA Math 34:51–55, 1987) for both homeomorphisms and continuous maps of compact manifolds, including (in particular) an interval and a circle, which are the simplest examples of one-dimensional continua. Abstract:
Most new drugs are protected by pharmaceutical patents, which give the patent holder exclusive control over that drug’s supply for 20 years. When the patent term expires, the drug becomes available for generic production by any company. The resulting competition typically leads to dramatic reductions in price. In Brazil, generic drugs are on average 40% cheaper than reference or brand-name drugs. In the United States, the Federal Drug Administration reports up to 85% price differences. Consumers in India have witnessed more than 100-fold price reduction for antiretroviral (ARV) drugs due to generic production. Generics thus play a key role in broadening access to health care, mostly by driving costs down, both in the developing and developed world.

AbstractWe show that if a vector fieldXhas theC1robustly barycenter property then it does not have singularities and it is Axiom A without cycles. Moreover, if a genericC1-vector field has the barycenter property then it does not have singularities and it is Axiom A without cycles. Moreover, we apply the results to the divergence free vector fields. It is an extension of the results of the barycenter property for generic diffeomorphisms and volume preserving diffeomorphisms [1].

Abstract:
Abstract Global justice theorists have widely discussed how the international intellectual property rights regime (i.e., the TRIPs regime of the World Trade Organization) makes it more difficult to achieve the goal of universal access to generic (and more affordable) vital COVID-19 treatments (including potential COVID-19 vaccines). This article argues that while patents can impose certain barriers to universal access to generic COVID-19 treatments, the TRIPs regime itself is an integral part of an equitable global solution to the pandemic. More specifically, it argues that article 31bis of the TRIPs, in allowing for a cooperation strategy predicated on complementary importing and exporting of vital COVID-19 generic treatments, is key for successful pandemic suppression. By providing a normative interpretative analysis of article 31bis in light of the ethical requirements of global justice, and by responding to possible objections to its core argument, this article substantiates the ideal of multilateral solidarity among nations. In times of crisis—not only a crisis of global public health, but also a crisis of multilateralism—this complementary cooperation strategy that article 31bis allows for shows a way forward in upholding the global common good that the international legal order seeks to safeguard.

Abstract:
The article identifies categories and concepts as forms of human thinking and, in accordance with the laws of logic, analyzes how "property" and "military property" are related as legal categories. It is proved that the property, as a general rule, has the following qualifications: civil / economic nature, value determination and accounting in the form prescribed by law. With regard to military property, along with the above features, there are specific ones that indicate the administrative and legal nature of military property, especially given the relationship which is the subject of such property. These are: political conditionality; centralization of military property management; imperative regulation of military property; prevalence of coercive measures; special legal regime of military property. It is noted that the legislator in the concept of the legal regime of property includes the concept of property, the list of bodies that manage this property, the peculiarities of its status, the order of registration and write-off of military property, rules for its formation and alienation. Emphasis is placed on the fact that "legal category" – is a generic concept for a set of legal phenomena, facts, elements of content and forms which give each category characteristic legal features and separate it from other categories. It is concluded that such a legal category as military property is a generic cross-sectoral concept. It is determined that military property as a legal category is a state material good with certain economic, economic utility and inherent characteristics, which is temporarily or permanently transferred to military units, institutions and organizations to ensure the tasks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Abstract:
In this study, we define the w-expansive property of generic non-autonomous discrete dynamical systems. We also show how the w-expansive feature is preserved under conjugate, inverse limits, and iterate. In addition, we discuss the relationship between the w-expansive and shadowing properties in generic non-autonomous discrete dynamical systems.
