Abstract:
The Swedish geographer Gerd Enequist (1903-1989) left behind great amounts of private and work material when she passed away. This was donated to the University Library of Uppsala, Carolina Rediviva, in three different accessions. This resulted in three different record. The subject of this report is the progress of assembling these record into one complete record. The registering led to many important decisions such as the role of provenance and the relation of private and public documents. Above all the special nature of personal archives have been a topic of discussion. Personal archives separate themselves from public records and therefore demand a different strategy of listing. The width of kinds of material and the mixture of private and public records are important qualities that differ them from public records. The report is initiated with an introduction of Enequist, followed by a description of the three accessions. In the second part of the report the work with recording the archive is accounted for including a description of the headings of the record. Thereafter the problems encountered during the work are described and discussed. The report is completed with a short proposal of the research values of the archive.

Sammanfattning The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam studeras vid dammens slutgiltiga fullbordande.Den hi-storiska utvecklingen av projektet, samt de politiska och ekonomiska procedurer och dess implikationer för projektet och hur detta påverkat och kommer påverka regionens utveckling presenteras och kontextualiseras. Olika scenarier för påfyllnad av huvudreservoarens vattentillförsel studeras genom analys av liknande fall samt teknisklitteratur, slutsatser dras utifrån beslutsfattandes rekommendationer och observationer. Möjliga scenarier för invigning av dammen med ambitionen att minimera ansträngningen för nationer som befinner sig nedströms längst Nilens flöde belyses utifrån analysmetoden. I den aktuella diskussionen om kultur som tillväxtfaktor och Stockholms stads arbete med att bli en internationellt framstående kulturstad har Berlin upprepade gånger använts som ett framgångsrikt exempel. Därför är det intressant att undersöka och jämföra hur de två städernas kulturpolitik har sett ut under de senaste decennierna. Vilka idéer är det som har varit tongivande inom kulturpolitiken och på vilket sätt har dessa påverkat hur kulturpolitiken i respektive stad ser ut som den gör idag?


In the current debate on culture as a contribution to economic growth and Stockholm city’s initiative to develop into a internationally recognized city of culture many comparisons have been made to Berlin. It is therefore interesting to investigate and compare how the cultural policy in the two cities has developed during the last decades. Abstract:
L’erosione dentale è definita come una perdita progressiva e irreversibile dei tessuti duri del dente, a causa di un processo chimico che non coinvolge i batteri. La sua prevalenza è accresciuta negli ultimi anni nella popolazione generale, particolarmente nei bambini e negli adolescenti e rappresenta attualmente un’enorme sfida per la cura della salute orale. L'eziologia delle erosioni è difficile da diagnosticare perché può essere il risultato di una varietà di fattori e si può manifestare in maniera differente in base alla causa che l’ha determinata. L’eziologia può essere intrinseca, cioè derivante dal contenuto acido dello stomaco associato a disordini alimentari come l’anoressia, la bulimia nervosa, il reflusso gastro-esofageo e il regurgito, o estrinseca, derivante dal contenuto acido proveniente dall’ambiente esterno (cibi dietetici, bevande analcoliche, succhi di frutta, ecc). L’erosione è particolarmente frequente nei bambini e poiché i soggetti che presentano erosioni in dentizione decidua hanno un rischio aumentato di manifestare erosioni in dentizione permanente, una diagnosi precoce e una prevenzione attuata in tenera età, aiuterà a prevenire il danno a carico dei denti permanenti. Inoltre se l’erosione dentale non è controllata e stabilizzata, il bambino potrebbe soffrire di severe perdite di superfici dentali, sensibilità dentale, malocclusione, inestetismi o anche ascessi dentali dei denti affetti. Lo studio caso-controllo è stato condotto dalla Sezione di Odontostomatologia del Dipartimento Testa - Collo, in collaborazione con l’Unità Operativa Complessa di Gastroenterologia Pediatrica dell’Azienda Ospedaliera-Univesitaria di Parma. Il gruppo di studio comprende 60 pazienti di età compresa tra i 4 e i 13 anni. Dei 60 bambini arruolati, 30 presentano sintomi e storia clinica di GERD, mentre gli altri 30 sono bambini sani senza alcun sintomo di GERD o di altri disturbi gastrointestinali. Il gruppo campione A include anche soggetti affetti, oltre che dal reflusso gastro-esofageo, da varie forme di disabilità, in alcune delle quali il GERD sembra essere parte del quadro sindromico. I risultati ottenuti dallo studio hanno dimostrato una prevalenza maggiore di erosioni dentali nel gruppo di bambini affetti da GERD, rispetto ai bambini sani, in accordo con quanto riportato dalla letteratura.

Abstract:
Das Ziel dieser experimentellen Studie war es die Techniken der konventionell laparo¬skopischen Fundoplikatio nach Nissen (CLNF) und der roboter-assistierten Fundoplikatio nach Nissen (RANF), wovon erstere derzeit als Standard der operativen Therapie der gastro¬ösophagealen Refluxkrankheit (GERD) im Kindesalter gilt, anhand workflow-analytischer Vergleichskriterien objektiv zu evaluieren. An jeweils zwölf weiblichen infantilen Schweinen (Rasse: Sus scrofa domestica, Gewicht: 7-10,8 kg, Alter: 6-8 Wochen) wurde respektive eine CLNF oder RANF durchgeführt, die postoperativ mittels Workflow-Analyse sowohl quantitativ als auch qualitativ in Hinsicht auf Geschwindigkeit, Sicherheit, Genauigkeit und Effizienz verglichen wurde. Dafür benutzten wir ein zuvor von uns entwickeltes Modul einer computer-assistierten Workflow-Erhebung, das speziell auf die Operationstechnik der Fundoplikatio nach Nissen ausgerichtet wurde. Nach Segmentierung des chirurgischen Workflows in spezielle Phasen konnten die zur Komplettierung vorab definierter Aktionen benötigten Zeiten mit Hilfe des Student’s t-Tests verglichen werden. Die Qualität des Knoten-Knüpfens wurde anhand eines speziellen Punktesystems beurteilt, die Effizienz der Fundoplikatio mittels Messung des Kardia-Öffnungsdruckes (Cardia yield pressure - CYP). Entgegen einer Zeitersparnis beim Knüpfen der Knoten in der RANF-Gruppe erwies sich die Qualität des Knüpfens in der CLNF-Gruppe als hochwertiger. In der durchschnittlichen Dauer der einzelnen Operationsphasen und dem Anstieg des CYP zeigte sich kein signifikanter Unterschied, wohingegen induzierte Pneumothoraces bei der CLNF verglichen mit der RANF öfter auftraten, allerdings Nähte in der RANF-Gruppe häufiger rissen. Trotz beschleunigtem Knoten-Knüpfens und reduzierter Inzidenz von Pneumothoraces, konnte die Technik der RANF in unserem experimentellen Tiermodell hinsichtlich der Effizienz der jeweiligen Operationstechnik nicht durch signifikante Vorteile überzeugen.

Abstract:
A Government is an entity of a society exercising authority over its subjects, preferably with their compliance. It is however not always agreed by the citizens that the government is acting in their interest, this making the relation in-between them lacking in legitimacy. This presents problems not only for the stability of a country, but for the expansion of financial markets, limiting the sources of finding finance to invest in development and infrastructure as it limits financing from within.  In this paper I look at Ethiopia where the government is perceived to have a generally low legitimacy, in 2010 they lunched the GERD* bond to finance a hydropower station on the Blue Nile. Ethiopia has a small economy thus the government asked its citizens to purchase savings bonds into the project, as international financing was not an option due to geopolitics. As the GERD is a €3.3 billion project many Ethiopians have inverted one full month salary. The question addressed in this paper it that of the willingness in entering in to this scheme, this due to legitimacy concerns within the country. More precisely the research question is formulated: is there a justifiable concern of legitimacy when rapidly intensifying a bond market in a developing country in which freedom is limited?  To address this field interviews was conducted in Addis Ababa and analysed via Weber’s three types of pure authority this to indicate the correlation of legitimacy dominations in-between the government and the investors. It is found that the GERD has common legitimacy dominations by both actors and as such the expansion of the bond market through the GERD has the preconditions to increase the trust level in the Ethiopian government. This is needed to increase legitimacy in the government, stabilize the country and expand the financial markets further.

Abstract:
With the development of search engines (e.g. Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.), people is ambitiously expecting higher quality and improvements of current technologies. Bringing human intelligence features to these tools, like the ability to find implicit information through semantics, is one of the must prominent research lines in Computer Science. Information semantics is a very wide concept, as wide as the human capability to interpret, in particular, the analysis of geographical semantics gives the possibility to associate information with a place. It is estimated that more than 70\% of all information in the world has some kind of geographic features \cite{Jones04}. In 2012, Ed Parsons, a GeoSpatial Technologist from Google, reported that between 30\% and 40\% of the user queries at Google search engine contain geographic references \cite{Parsons12}. This thesis addresses the field of geographic information extraction and retrieval in unstructured texts. This process includes the identification of spatial features in textual documents, the data indexing, the manipulation of the relevance of the identified geographic entities and the multi-criteria retrieval according to the thematic and geographic information. The main contributions of this work include a custom geographic knowledge base, built from the combination of GeoNames and WordNet; a Natural Language Processing and knowledge based heuristics for Toponym Recognition and Toponym Disambiguation; and a geographic relevance weighting model that supports non-spatial indexing and simple ranking combination approaches. The validity of each one of these components is supported by practical experiments that show their effectiveness in different scenarios and their alignment with state of the art solutions. In addition, it also constitutes a main contribution of this work GEIR, a general purpose GIR framework that includes the implementations of the above described components and brings the possibility of implementing new ones and test their performance within an end to end GIR system.
