Abstract:
La tesi si occupa della traduzione di Measure for Measure di Shakespeare scritta da Cesare Garboli e pubblicata nel 1992 con Einaudi nella collana «Scrittori tradotti da scrittori». La traduzione fu concepita per il Teatro Stabile di Torino diretto da Luca Ronconi, che debuttò al teatro Carignano nel 1992 e venne successivamente ripresa, con alcune varianti, dalla compagnia di Carlo Cecchi nel 1998, per una nuova messinscena al teatro Garibaldi di Palermo. A partire dagli esiti più recenti dei Translation Studies, il lavoro sviluppa uno studio comparato, dal punto di vista linguistico e sotto il profilo ermeneutico, fra la traduzione di Garboli, il testo originale nelle due edizioni Arden e Cambridge e le traduzioni italiane di Measure for Measure pubblicate nel Novecento. La parte finale della tesi è dedicata alle messinscene a Torino e a Palermo: un confronto per evidenziare gli elementi che in entrambe appartengono alla strutturazione del testo tradotto e i caratteri specifici degli universi di finzione raffigurati dai due registi.
This research concerns the Italian writer Cesare Garboli and his translation of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure. Garboli wrote this translation in 1992 for Luca Ronconi’s company and revised in 1998 for Carlo Cecchi’s company. Beginning from the most recent results of Translation Studies, this research examines Garboli's translation, from a linguistic and interpretative point of view, in relation to Shakespeare's original text, the other Italian translations of Measure for Measure, published during the XX century, and the directors' scripts. The second part of this thesis analyses and compares the Ronconi’s production and the Cecchi’s one in the Theatre Carignano of Turin and in the Theatre Garibaldi of Palermo, two places which became symbolical of divergent interpretations about Measure for Measure.

Dans les applications graphiques, les interactions avec les formes sont peu naturelles. L'utilisateur repousse autant que possible l'usage de ces applications, préférant dessiner ou sculpter une forme. Pour combler ce fossé qui se creuse entre l'informatique et le grand public, nous nous tournons vers les squelettes. Ce sont des modèles de représentation des formes intuitifs que nous proposons d'utiliser comme structure d'interaction directe et intuitive.Tous les squelettes souffrent d'un problème de qualité, que ce soit au niveau de la géométrie qu'ils capturent, de leurs quantité de bruit ou encore de l'absence d'organisation utile de leurs éléments. De plus, certaines fonctionnalités nécessaires des squelettes ne sont que partiellement résolues, et ceci grâce à des données additionnelles calculées à partir de la forme lors de la squelettisation. Ainsi, lorsque le squelette est modifié par une interaction, nous sommes dans l'incapacité de mettre à jour ces données et d'utiliser ces fonctionnalités.Nous avons construit un ensemble de solutions algorithmiques à ces problèmes. Nous faisons un usage optimal des données contenues dans le squelette pour visualiser la forme qu'il décrit, supprimer son bruit et structurer ses éléments. Nous construisons un squelette hiérarchique qui capture et contrôle toutes les zones caractéristiques d'une forme.Ce squelette est adapté pour une interaction directe et intuitive, ce qui permet de combler le fossé dont nous faisions mention. Nos travaux permettent également d'améliorer les méthodes de squelettisation et produire des squelettes qui sont déjà de bonne qualité
The interactions in shape creation graphic applications are far from natural. The user tends to avoid as much as possible such applications and prefer to sketch or model his/her shape.To bridge this widening gap between computer and the general public, we focus on skeletons. They are intuitive shape representation models that we propose to use as direct and intuitive interaction structures.All skeletons suffer from very low quality as shape representation models, concerning the geometry of the shape they capture, the quantity of skeletal noise they contain or the lack of useful organization of their elements. Moreover, some functionalities that must be granted to skeletons are only partially solved. Those solutions make use of additional data computed thanks to the shape during the skeletonization. Thus, when the skeleton is modified by an interaction, we cannot update those data to make use of such functionalities.Thanks to a practical observation of skeletons, we built a set of algorithmic solutions to those problems.We make an optimal use of skeleton data to visualize the shape described by a skeleton, to remove skeletal noise and to structure skeleton elements. With our methods, we build the meso-skeleton, a hierarchical structure that captures and controls all characteristic parts of a shape.The meso-skeleton is adapted to be used as a direct and intuitive interaction structure, which allows us to bridge the gap aforementioned. Also, our work can lead to further researches to enhance skeletonization techniques and thus produce skeletons that are good quality shape representation models

Greta Garbo, quem diria, acabou no Irajá – texto de Fernando Mello que dramatiza uma relação homoerótica conturbada entre um enfermeiro idoso e um jovem desabrigado do interior do Rio de Janeiro – tem sido encenada desde a década de 1970 com grande repercussão no cenário artístico nacional brasileiro, inclusive, surpreendentemente, no contexto político sob o qual o Brasil viveu o regime de repressão ditatorial militar. A história de todo esse processo ficou documentada no Arquivo Nacional de Brasília, no Fundo Divisão de Censura de Diversões Públicas, e nos textos dos jornais de grande circulação, a partir dos quais podem ser recuperadas as tensões culturais e os discursos de repressão às expressões de sexualidades dissidentes. É exatamente por isso que, ao estudar essa tradição textual e a recepção do texto de Mello, podemos compreender o problema posto por esta pesquisa, qual seja: o estudo crítico-filológico dos scripts teatrais de Greta Garbo... que encenam as homossexualidades, observando as inter-relações entre o processo de transformação pela circulação social do texto com as ações, muitas vezes coercitivas e homofóbicas, de diferentes sujeitos que mediaram a liberação, veto ou corte de trechos da peça. Para isso, do ponto de vista teórico-metodológico, investimos, em diálogo com as teorias de desconstrução da metafísica tradicional, na renovação da práxis filológica no sentido de entendê-la como uma atuação crítica e investigativa das materialidades textuais, visando à leitura das pluralidades tanto das lições de cada script quanto das intervenções censórias que transformaram o texto. Assim, ao passo que compreendemos as formas de sociabilidades textuais da peça de Mello, experienciamos uma reflexão teórica sobre: (i) a atuação crítica do filólogo como intelectual humanista contemporâneo; (ii) a construção de edições e arquivos hipertextuais de orientação pragmática que escapam à gramática do cientificismo teleológico editorial; e (iii) a leitura filológica para resgate de memórias e de narrativas de sujeitos destituídos do discurso historiográfico oficial.
Greta Garbo, quem diria, acabou no Irajá – a Fernando Mello´s text that dramatizes a troubled homoerotic relation between an old nurse and an unsheltered young man in the countryside of Rio de Janeiro – has been acted since the 1970s with great repercussion in the national Brazilian artistic scenario, including, surprisingly, in the political context under which Brazil experienced dictatorial military repression. The history of all this process is documented in the National Brazilian Archive, in the Censorship Division Fund of Public Entertainment, and in the texts of widely circulated newspaper, from which the cultural tensions and the repressive discourse to the dissident sexual expressions can be recovered. This is the reason why by studying this textual tradition as well as Mello´s text reception, it is possible to understand the problem this research poses: the philological-critical study of the theatrical scripts of Greta Garbo… that act homosexualities, by observing the interrelations between the transformational process by the social circulation of the text with the action, many times homophobic and coercive, from different subjects that mediated release, interdiction or cut in parts of the play. For so, from a theoretical-methodological standpoint, we invested, in a dialogue with the deconstruction theories of traditional metaphysics, in the renewal of philological praxis to understand it as an investigative and critical act of textual materialities, aiming the reading of pluralities not only of the lessons of each script, but also the censored interventions that transformed the text. Thus, as we understand the textual sociability ways of Mello´s play, we experience a theoretical reflection about: (i) the critical work of the philologist as a contemporary humanist intellectual; (ii) the construction of editions and hipertextual archives of pragmatic orientation that escape the grammar of the editorial teleological scientism; and (iii) the philological reading for rescuing the memories and narratives of subjects deprived of official historiographical discourse.

L’objectif de cette thèse doctorale intitulée « Les stars et la cinéphilie dans la culture cinématographique espagnole du début du XXe siècle : le cas Greta Garbo » est d’analyser l’impact que cette star a pu produire dans la société espagnole de l’époque, en tenant compte du fait que cette société était traversée par des débats ayant trait à la renégociation des rapports entre les sexes et à des questions de différenciation sexuelle. Les principales sources utilisées à cet effet sont les revues de cinématographie publiées en Espagne à la fin des années 20 et la première moitié des années 30. Ce travail étudie d’abord la réception des premiers films muets de Garbo qui impliquent l’apparition d’une image féminine inédite. Cela permet de montrer que la culture cinématographique de la fin des années 20 présente Garbo comme une véritable artiste investie d’un grand pouvoir créateur. Ensuite, au cours des années 30, la presse cinématographique révèle un changement d’orientation, ce qui est en partie lié à l’évolution du discours cinéphilique, un discours « genré » qui se construit au détriment des femmes et des stars. Dès lors, l’image de Garbo est remise en cause par une légion de journalistes qui entendent servir le prestige d’un auteur : le réalisateur du film. Ce revirement est ici interprété à la lumière des tensions que Garbo provoquait parce qu’elle incarnait un modèle féminin transgressif. La fin de ce travail montre également que l’image de Garbo était encore bien présente dans les premières années du franquisme, la culture cinématographique de cette période comprenant des similitudes et des continuités avec celles des années 20 et 30
The purpose of this doctoral thesis entitled « Stars and cinephilia in the early XXth century Spanish cinematographic culture: the example of Greta Garbo » is to analyse the influence that this star may have produced in the Spanish society at that time, taking into account that this society was going through some debates related to the renegociation of the relations between sexes and to sexual differentiation issues. The main sources used in this respect consist of the journals published in Spainthroughout the late twenties and the first half of the thirties. First of all, this research focuses on the reception of the first silent Garbo movies that implies the appearance of a new female image. By doing so, one can see that the cinematographic culture of the late twenties introduces Garbo as a real artist with a great creative power. Then, in the thirties, the Spanish film journals reveals a change ofdirection which is in part due to the evolution of cinephilic discourse, a gendered discourse which develops at the expense of women and stars. From then on, the Garbo image is questioned by a legion of journalists pretending to defend the prestige of an “auteur”: the film director. In this study, this reversal is interpreted in the light of the tensions that Garbo provoked as she embodied a transgressive female image. The end of this research also shows that the Garbo image was still alive through the first years of Francoism, the cinematographic culture of this period including similarities and continuities with the twenties and thirties’ one

En mai 1938, periode ou l'industrie cinematographique hollywoodienne arrive au paroxysme d'une crise a fronts multiples, les exploitants independants denoncent dans un placard publie par le hollywood reporter la contre-productivite au box-office de cinq stars feminines : mae west, greta garbo, joan crawford, katharine hepbum et marlene dietrich. Ce travail de these tente de comprendre comment lesimages de ces stars se sont inscrites dans l'imaginaire collectif americain d'avant-guerre et pourquoi elles ont ete tantot sources de plaisir, tantot source d'irritation. A cette fin, nous avons emprunte la voie ouverte par richard dyer, celle qui choisit de considerer la star comme un vehicule de desirs, de contradictions et de negociations sociales, intervenant de maniere complexe sur un film. Notre etude montre que la popularite de ces stars s'est enracinee dans les fissures ideologiques provoquees par la depression et qu'a partir de 1935-36, leurs images sont devenues problematiques au sein d'une production cinematographique qui revisite les plus dures annees de la crise en idealisant les roles sexuels et au sein d'une societe qui, apres l'effondrement de 1930-33, reconstruit l'hegemonie economique et sociale de sa classe moyenne autour de la quete d'une identite et d'une unite americaines. Suite au coup d'eclat des exploitants independants, toutes les actrices concernees, sauf mae west, se preteront au remaniement de leur image, une reconversion menee avec plus ou moins de succes.

Après des débuts hésitants, le livre d'Ibn Sīnā a peu à peu imprimé sa marque sur les programmes des facultés naissantes, imposant ses choix intellectuels et son orientation philosophique. De fait, la patiente intégration de l'oeuvre, réalisée dans un milieu scientifique italien caractérisé par une véritable compétition entre les maîtres et les universités, commence avec la figure de Taddeo Alderotti (m. 1295), premier commmentateur du Canon, et culmine avec le travail de Gentile da Foligno (m. 1348), qui expose presque l'intégralité de l'ouvrage. L'analyse des textes conservés et des structures d'enseignement de la médecine permet de mettre en lumière le rôle fondamental de la pédagogie dans ce processus, mais aussi l'importance de la diffusion des commentaires sous forme manuscrite ou imprimée, expliquant la longévité de cet ouvrage qui, plus qu'ailleurs en Europe, supplante les autres autorités grecques ou arabes. Enfin, l'étude de plusieurs thèmes majeurs démontre comment le Canon a pu durablement influencer la conception médiévale de la médecine. D'un point de vue épistémologique, il a eu pour effet de valoriser l'autonomie de la science et le recours à l'expérience. D'un point de vue plus pratique, ses partis pris et ses innovations ont favorisé la naissance d'idées et de débats nouveaux dans la discipline, annonçant souvent les évolutions de la fin du Moyen Age et du début de l'époque moderne
This study attempts to understand how the Canon, an encyclopedia written by Avicenna in the early eleventh century and translated into latin in the late twelfth century, became for several centuries the conrnerstone manual of medical teaching in Italy. After a slow start, the book by Ibn Sīnā gradually made its mark on the academic programs of the fledging universities, asserting its intellectual preferences and its philosophical views. Indeed, the slow but steady integration of the book into the curriculum , happening in an italian scientific community characterized by the competition between masters and universities, starts with Taddeo Alderotti (d. 1295), first commentator of the Canon, to reach its peak with the work of Gentile da Foligno (d. 1348), who examined almost the entire work. The analysis of remaining texts as well as of medical teaching institutions sheds light on the crucial role of pedagogy in this process, but also on the importance of the circulation of commentaries under manuscript or printed form, thus explaining the longevity of this work, which, more so than in other parts of Europe, superseded greek and arabic authorities. Finally, the study of several major themes shows how the Canon was able to influence for the long run the medieval conception of medicine. From an epistemological point of view, the perspectives and innovations it contained helped spring the birth of ideas and new debates in the discipline, often forecasting shifts of the late Middles Ages and the early modern era

A study was conducted to use the cyclic voltammery (CV) method to deposit platinum nanoparticles on the Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) at different concentrations of H2PtCl6/BR solution, scanning cycles, and scanning rates. The sizes and morphologies of the platinum particles were observed by the Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), the Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and the Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). The results show that when the depositing potential was fixed at -0.4 V ; the concentrations of electrolyte were lower ; the scanning segments were fewer and the scanning rates were higher, the nano size platinum particles were deposited. When the electrolyte was pure H2PtCl6 solution or which including Pb(CH3COO)2 in H2PtCl6 solution, the sizes of the particles were approximately 39 ~ 78 nm. Then the H2O2 was detected by the Bare Disk Glassy Carbon Electrode (GC), the GC/Pt electrode and the GC/Pt(Pb) electrode. The experimental results showed that the GC/Pt(Pb) electrode had the best current response. In 4 mL 0.05 M pH=7.4 phosphate buffer solution (PBS) at 30℃ on the O2 atmosphere, the Nyquist graph of EIS showed that when the dynamic control at high frequency , the smaller the deposited particles were, the larger the hemicycle of Nyquist graph became. Then we deposited platinum nanoparticles on GC at the optimum experimental conditions to fabricate a GC/Pt(Pb)/GOD+GA electrode and the electropolymerization was performed to make the o-phenylenediamine (o-PD) on the GC/ Pt(Pb)/GOD+GA electrode and to form a GC/Pt(Pb)/GOD+GA/ PPD working electrode of a biosensor and we fabricated coiled platinum wire as the counter electrode and Ag/AgCl as reference electrode. When the glucose was detected, we found that at the range of concentration 0.00125 ~ 0.16 mM, the relative coefficient was 0.996 and the detection limit was 0.00125 mM in 4 mL 0.05 M pH=7.4 PBS at 30℃ on the O2 atmosphere. If the GC/Pt(Pb)/GOD+GA/ PPD electrode was applied to the biosensor for detecting the glucose and interferant, in 4 mL 0.05 M pH=7.4 PBS at 30℃ on the O2 atmosphere and +0.5 V, it could avoid the interference of the interferant such as L(+)-Ascorbic acid, Uric acid, and Acetaminophen. Making the electrode in this research’s method not only it’s response time was 2 ~ 6 seconds but also it’s life time maintain for more than 17 days at least. Therefore it can be applied to the current glucose biosensor effectively in the future.
