Abstract:
Proteinuria is the hallmark of chronic kidney disease. Podocyte damage underlies the formation of proteinuria, and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) functions as an autocrine/paracrine regulator. Yi Qi Qing Re Gao (YQQRG) has been used to treat proteinuria for more than two decades. The objective of this study was to investigate the protective effect and possible mechanisms of YQQRG on puromycin aminonucleoside (PAN) rat model. Eighty male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into sham group, PAN group, PAN + YQQRG group, and PAN + fosinopril group. Treatments were started 7 days before induction of nephrosis (a single intravenous injection of 40 mg/kg PAN) until day 15. 24 h urinary samples were collected on days 5, 9, and 14. The animals were sacrificed on days 3, 10, and 15, respectively. Blood samples and renal tissues were obtained for detection of biochemical and molecular biological parameters. YQQRG significantly reduced proteinuria, elevated serum albumin, and alleviated renal pathological lesions. YQQRG inhibited VEGF-A, nephrin, podocin, and CD2AP mRNA expression and elevated nephrin, podocin, and CD2AP protein levels starting on day 3. In conclusion, YQQRG attenuates podocyte injury in the rat PAN model through downregulation of VEGF-A and restoration of nephrin, podocin, and CD2AP protein expression.

Abstract:
This study aimed to explore the role of the default mode network (DMN) and salience network (SN) in the assessment of pathophysiology of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) through analyzing the characteristics of internal function connectivity (FC) and to investigate the relationship of FC with Hamilton anxiety (HAMA) scale scores in untreated GAD patients during a resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI). Rs-fMRI and HAMA scale scoring were performed in 51 GAD patients (31 GAD patients with liver stagnation transforming into fire type and 20 GAD patients with stagnation of liver-Qi syndrome type) and 20 healthy controls. Spearman correlation analysis was performed to assess the association between HAMA scores and abnormal brain FC. Compared with healthy controls, the FC of the right medial prefrontal gyrus of the DMN and the right superior temporal gyrus of the SN increased significantly in the GAD patients (P<0.001). However, the FC of the left middle frontal gyrus and bilateral medial superior frontal gyrus of the SN reduced significantly in the GAD patients with stagnation of liver-Qi syndrome type as compared with healthy controls and GAD patients with liver stagnation transforming into fire type (P<0.001). There was no relationship between abnormal brain FC and HAMA scores. In conclusion, the FC of the DMN and SN may be abnormal in the GAD patients at the resting state. The aberrant FC of some crucial brain regions of these networks may contribute to the pathophysiology of GAD.

Abstract:
Abstract Objective To realize the characteristics of “zheng” differentiation-treatment for hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD), a new methodology of syndrome differentiation for different stages of HFMD has been explored. Methods Total of 2 325 cases with HFMD were recorded by distributing them into exterior syndrome stage, interior syndrome stage, severe syndrome stage and recovered syndrome stage, respectively, and the main symptoms and subsidiary symptoms of different stages of HFMD have been observed. The major and minor pathogenesis of HFMD in different stages were obtained, and compared with the “2010 Guideline for the Diagnosis and Treatment of HFMD”. Results It was found that the major pathogenesis of exterior stage was defined as “the invation of the wenevil to the defender of the body with the collaterals got involved”, and the minor as “qi deficiency”; in interior stage, “the fury of Gan-Yang” was the main pathogenesis, and “qi in chaos and qi deficiency” was the minor; in severe syndrome stage, “the damage of heart, liver and lung” was the main pathogenesis, and “qi in chaos” was the minor; and the pathogenesis of recovered stage was “qi-yin deficiency”. Compared with the “2010 Guideline for the Diagnosis and Treatment of HFMD”, it showed that “the obstruction of the fei-pi qi by the mixture of shi-re evil” and “the mixture of shi-re” in vivo was quite difficult to be explained in completely different context in the general situation; in the severe stage, the TCM clinical characteristics of syndrome differentiation might lose; in the early acute severe cases, the phenomenon that xin-yang and fei-qi almost ran out was difficult to be observed, then, the line between the severe and the acute severe became vague. Conclusions The theory of syndrome differentiation by stages of HFMD was reasonable in the actual situation of clinical description on HFMD which was expected to be further tested and widely applied in the “zheng” differentiation-treatment of HFMD in the future.

Abstract:
An intercomparison exercise of the world-harmonized light-duty vehicle test procedure (WLTP) aiming at measuring ethanol, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde emissions from a flex-fuel light-duty vehicle using E85 was conducted in the Vehicle Emission Laboratory (VELA) at the European Commission Joint Research Centre (EC-JRC), Ispra, Italy. The instruments used during the intercomparison allowed online measurements of these compounds directly from the diluted exhaust. Measurements were done either in real time or immediately after the test. The measurement and analysis of exhaust emissions over the world-harmonized light-duty vehicle test cycle was done by means of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), proton transfer reaction-mass spectrometry (PTR-Qi-ToF-MS), photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) and gas chromatography (GC). Results showed that online systems can perform measurements from the vehicle diluted exhaust assuring a good repeatability (within instrument variance) and reproducibility (between instrument variance) of the results. Measurements from all the instruments were in good agreement (|Z-score| < 2). Results showed that online systems can perform measurements from the vehicle diluted exhaust assuring the reproducibility and repeatability of the results. Results obtained measuring at the tailpipe using a FTIR were in good agreement with those acquired measuring at the constant volume sampler (CVS). Considering the low sensitivity of the current technique used to measure hydrocarbons emissions towards oxygenated compounds (flame ionization detector; FID), non-methane organic gases (NMOG) were calculated applying their FID response factors to the measured emissions of ethanol, acetaldehyde and formaldehyde. NMOG resulted to be up to 74% higher than measured non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC).

The Qing Dynasty has been praised for its restoration of the genre of Ci to the importance it deserves; the number of its Ci poets and Ci poems is enormous, outstripping other ages. In recent times there has been quite a few studies devoted to the Ci of the Qing Dynasty. Despite this, many authors and topics are still left unexplored, such as CHEN Nie-Heng (陳聶恒) and his numerous and touching Ci poems. This thesis is intended to focus on Chen and his Ci poems collected in the Xu Yuan Ci Qi Gao (《栩園詞棄稿》). To start with, it will comb through ancient sources to infer the dates of his birth and death, to give a list of the major event in his life, to structure the networks of his social intercourse and to put in order the secondary literature. Then it will categorize the main themes of his Ci poems and attempt an appreciation the artistic features of them through a detailed analysis. Based on what precedes the conclusion would point out that Chen enjoyed an importance to be recognized and then attempt to locate the role he played in the era from Kangxi to Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty.

Abstract:
Experimental investigations on post-dryout heat transfer in 10×8.1, 10×7 and 10×6mm annular test sections have been carried out under low-pressure and low mass flow rate conditions. An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) was trained successfully based on the experimental data for predicting the average post-dryout Nusselt number. Based on the ANN, the effects of gap size, pressure, steam Reynolds number, Reg, inlet quality, xi, Prandtl number, (Prg)W, and the ratio of heat flux of inner-tube to that of outer-tube, qi/qo, on post-dryout heat transfer were analyzed, respectively. In present study, Nusselt number in annular channels with big gap size is larger than that in annular channels with small gap size. Nusselt number increases significantly in 1.5mm and 2.0mm annular channels while it is almost constant in 0.95mm annular channel with increasing pressure or qi/qo. Nusselt number increases with Reg in case of 0.95mm and 1.5mm gap sizes. However, Nusselt number in 2.0mm annular channel firstly increases and then decreases with increasing Reg. Nusselt number decreases with increasing inlet quality under all three annular channels condition. Nusselt number decreases significantly with increasing (Prg)W when (Prg)W is less than 1.5. The changes of Nusselt number in 1.5mm or 2.0mm annular channels are larger than that in 0.95mm annular channel.

Abstract:
Because of the practical importance of two-phase instabilities, substantial efforts have been made to date to understand the physical phenomena governing such instabilities and to develop computational tools to model the dynamics. The purpose of this paper is to present a numerical model for the analysis of flow-induced instabilities in forced-convection steam generator. The model is based on the assumption of homogenous two-phase flow and thermodynamic equilibrium of the phases. The thermal capacity of the heater wall has been included in the analysis. The model is used to analysis of flow instabilities in steam generator and to study the effects of system pressure, mass flux, inlet temperature and inlet/outlet restriction, gap size, the ratio of do/di and the ratio of qi/qo on system behavior.

Abstract:
Delafossite CuAlO2 is a p-type transparent semiconductor oxide with space group R-3m (N°166) is a material with extended applications in different fields. Structural parameters, band structure, and density of CuAlO2 have been investigated in the light of the Density Functional Theory (DFT) using PBE pseudopotentials (norm-conserving pseudopotentials). Our calculations are performed with the ABINIT package using cut-off energy of 100 Hartree, showing convergence to cut-off energy up to 30 Hartree. The lattice parameters of CuAlO2 obtained after the relaxation process are a = b = 2.904 Å and c = 17.202 Å; and consequently, volume of V=174.014 Å3 , also the derivate of the bulk modules Bo´=4.1, and bulk modulus Bo=174 Gpa were found. We find that discrepancies between our calculated lattice parameters a, c, and c/a are overestimated about 0.798%, 0.591%, and 0.219% compared to the reference’s theoretical calculations of Qi-Jun Liu et,al respectively. The calculated energy band structure of CuAlO2 and the high-symmetry points of Brillouin Zone show that the delafossite structure has an indirect band gag (~ 1.21 eV) because the top valence and the bottom conduction are found at F point and Г point, respectively. This work aims to study structural parameters, band structure, and density of states of delafossite CuAlO2 and give one application as solar cell.
