Cet article aborde la variation dans le système pronominal pluriel gallo-roman. Il consiste en une analyse de diverses stratégies pour sanctionner les constructions partitives pronominales en trois variétés gallo-romanes : le français normé, le français québécois et le picard. L’analyse du morphème autres est particulièrement importante pour la typologie des pronoms car elle démontre que, bien que les trois variétés présentent des séquences similaires à nous autres / vous autres / eux autres, les similarités ne sont qu’apparentes. En effet, en picard, autes ‘autres’ est devenu suffixe nominal à mettre en parallèle avec les pronoms pluriels de l’espagnol nosotros (complexe pourtant grammaticalisé) car les deux sont les têtes nominales marquées pour le nombre, ce qui n’est pas le cas de autres en français normé et québécois. Ce travail typologique permet de mieux comprendre les différences entre les processus d’individuation dans les pronoms des langues romanes, en plus de confirmer le statut distinct du picard.

Mobilis é comme médecin pendant la Première guerre mondiale, Edouard Pichon est resté en relation épistolaire avec son oncle et collaborateur pour l’Essai de grammaire de la langue française, Jacques Damourette. Dans une série de missives de l’année 1915, il lui fait part des études qu’il mène sur les dialectes et les langues régionales. A partir de listes de mots et de paradigmes de conjugaison, il cherche à retrouver dans les formes du picard, du franco-provençal, du catalan et du languedocien la preuve d’une permanence de la mentalité française à travers ses différents parlers. Mettant à contribution ce qu’il entend chez les habitants du Santerrois et sollicitant comme informateurs les militaires des unités dans lesquelles il est affecté, il revient à une approche philologique en étudiant le provençal dans Mirèio de Mistral. Utilisant une notation phonétique idiosyncrasique, Pichon a une approche différentialiste. Il conçoit les dialectes comme l’interprétation prosodique, « affective », d’une même langue, le français, dont la fonction « représentative » resterait constante par l’effet d’un atavisme racial. Ainsi la grammaire devient l’illustration d’une théorie qui fait des langues, et des rapprochements entre elles, la preuve d’une transcendance des propriétés de race sur les formations sociales. S’il y a des affinités entre le français, l’occitan, le breton et l’alsacien, ce n’est pas un effet de contact mais la rémanence d’un substrat biologique commun. A ce titre, Pichon s’oppose à la vision historiciste de Gaston Paris en romanistique comme aux principes sociologiques d’Antoine Meillet.

Comme plusieurs variétés de français familier, le picard redouble les sujets. Puisque les clitiques sujets sont devenus des marques d'accord, il est logique de penser que les sujets redoublés sont les vrais sujets du picard. Cet article examine les sujets redoublés du picard sous les angles de la syntaxe, de la pragmatique et de la prosodie. Nous concluons que les sujets redoublés préverbaux sont ambigus: la plupart sont de véritables sujets (SN SV) mais certains conservent les caractéristiques de la dislocation (SN pro SV). Nous discutons aussi les sujets redoublés postverbaux et distinguons deux constructions: l'inversion stylistique qui place le sujet à l'intérieur du SV et la dislocation à droite.

Dans cet article, nous commentons quelques cartes et statistiques qui permettent de rendre compte des (dis)similitudes entre les aires d’emploi de types lexicaux communs aux dialectes picards et au français régional à substrat picard, et tirons de ces observations un certain nombre de conclusions quant au rôle des frontières politiques et des frontières dialectales sur le maintien et la disparition des régionalismes du français parlé dans cette partie de la francophonie.

Cet article examine les clitiques sujets du picard. Comme le français familier, le picard ‘redouble’ les sujets lexicaux à l'aide d'une copie pronominale, ce qui soulève la possibilité que les pronoms sujets soient devenus des marques affixales d'accord verbal. Les tests morphophonologiques et morphosyntaxiques auxquels nous soumettons les clitiques sujets révèlent que s'ils sont devenus de véritables marques d'accord, leur comportement n'est pas tout à fait celui d'affixes lexicaux. Nous proposons donc qu'ils sont générés sous Agr dans la structure syntaxique et qu'ils se cliticisent au verbe en forme phonologique pour former un Groupe Clitique tel que proposé par Hayes 1989.

À la fin du XIXe siècle, des tentatives sont lancées pour remettre en question la mainmise de la France sur le répertoire, la direction et les troupes du théâtre francophone belge. Edmond Picard (1836-1924), avocat, mécène, écrivain et homme politique influent, tente de faire pression sur la ville de Bruxelles pour qu’elle impose à son principal théâtre parlé, le Théâtre royal du Parc, un répertoire qui s’ouvre aux auteurs étrangers et belges. Nationaliser le théâtre passe par les pièces de Tolstoï, Ibsen, Maeterlinck et Picard, qui reposent sur des propositions dramaturgiques éloignées du vaudeville français.

Une série d’articles sur les consonnes épenthétiques est apparue dans les pages de cette revue ces dix dernières années: Walker (1978, 1981), Morin (1980), Singh (1980), Wetzels (1985), Piggott et Singh (1985) et Picard (1987), passant progressivement d’un problème très particulier (le statut phonologique en ancien français des consonnes épenthétiques issues du gallo-roman) à des théories générales sur l’épenthèse. Un certain nombre de données et d’analyses antérieures n’ont malheureusement pas été utilisées par le dernier de ces auteurs, conduisant ainsi à des généralisations hâtives et probablement fausses. Il est peut-être temps maintenant de rappeler quelques-unes des analyses antérieures et de revenir sur certaines de ces généralisations.

Most regional languages in France are now endangered, as speaker numbers have been declining for decades. One such language is Picard (also called Ch’ti), a minority language spoken in the Hauts-de-France region. This research investigates the social perception of Picard, its place in the modern world, and its importance to the identity of those living in the Picardophone area. The study also suggests that making questionnaire respondents aware of a language’s endangered status has an impact on the language attitudes respondents express. Two versions of the same online questionnaire were used, only one of which included a short introduction presenting Picard as a “severely endangered language”. These questionnaires were answered by 586 people living in the Hauts-de-France. The results differ by age and by whether the respondent was informed/reminded of the loss of the language. Attitudes towards Picard cannot be considered negative, but rather mixed or positive. Nevertheless, respondents remain for the most part unwilling to use Picard in most domains where French is used. I argue that current approaches to language planning and policy in France are not helpful for the future of this language. Résumé La plupart des langues régionales de France sont aujourd’hui en danger car leur nombre de locuteurs diminue depuis des décennies. L’une de ces langues est le picard (aussi appelé ch’ti), langue minoritaire parlée dans la région des Hauts-de-France. Cette recherche interroge la perception sociale du picard, sa place dans le monde moderne et son importance pour l’identité des personnes. Cette étude suggère également que sensibiliser les personnes répondants au questionnaire au statut en danger d’une langue a un impact sur les attitudes linguistiques exprimées par les participants. Deux versions d’un même questionnaire en ligne furent utilisées, où l’une comportait une courte introduction présentant le picard comme une «langue sérieusement en danger». 586 personnes habitants les Hauts-de-France ont répondu à ces questionnaires. Les résultats diffèrent selon l’âge et en fonction de si les participants sont informés/rappelés ou non de la perte de la langue. Les attitudes envers le picard ne peuvent être considérées comme négatives, mais plutôt mitigées ou positives. Néanmoins, les personnes interrogées restent pour la plupart réticentes à utiliser le picard dans la plupart des domaines où le français est utilisé. Je soutiens que les approches actuelles de la planification et de la politique linguistique en France ne contribuent pas à aider l’avenir de cette langue. Une étude sur les Jeune-Canada (1932-1938) ne dépare certainement pas un numéro spécial sur la révolution tranquille. au contraire, car si on rappelle le nom de quelques animateurs du mouvement – André Laurendeau, Pierre Dansereau, Gérard Filion, Robert Charbonneau, Gérard Picard, Lucien L’Allier, Claude Robillard – on voit se dessiner la trajectoire qui va des années 1930 à la décennie 1960. Ce mouvement de jeunes, typique de la décennie de la Crise, départage un certain nombre de choses : il remet en cause la manière de l’Action catholique de la jeunesse canadienne-française (ACJC), prend des distances vis-à-vis Henri Bourassa auquel ils font peur, renoue avec l’esprit de l’enquête de L’Action française de 1921 en se plaçant à l’enseigne de l’abbé Lionel Groulx. Après un certain nombre de tâtonnements, le jeune Laurendeau y définit leur nationalisme laurentien dans un tract, Notre nationalisme (1935), qui constitue une des pièces maîtresses de la pensée politique québécoise.

In 2011 the École française d'Athènes celebrated the centenary of its activities on Thasos (Muller and Mulliez 2012). Apart from the publication of a modern Greek translation of the second edition of the Guide de Thasos (Grandjean and Salviat 2000; 2012), the centenary was the occasion for the publication of a number of thematic studies, based on past archaeological research (Muller 2011; Picard 2011; Marc 2012). More generally, current research on Thasos focuses on all aspects of archaeology, including excavation and field survey (mainly within the ancient urban area), as well as study of archaeological material kept in the museum's collections. This work benefits from the unfailing support of the Ephoreia of Antiquities in Kavala.

Abstract Background: Metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (mTNBC) is the most aggressive and heterogeneous breast cancer subtype, with limited therapeutic options. Immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) with chemotherapy are approved as first-line therapy in mTNBC for patients with PD-L1+tumors. The generation of immunosuppressive extracellular adenosine in the tumor microenvironment by the overexpression of ectoenzyme CD73 is a mechanism that could impair ICI and chemotherapy activity. The SYNERGY trial investigates if the addition of an anti-CD73 monoclonal antibody, oleclumab, increases the clinical benefit (CB) to the combination of chemotherapy with an anti-PD-L1 antibody, durvalumab, in previously untreated patients with advanced or mTNBC. Here we present data from a primary analysis including the first 68 evaluable patients. Methods: Patients with previously untreated inoperable locally advanced or mTNBC were randomized between carboplatin AUC 1.5 and paclitaxel 80 mg/m2 q1w x 12 in combination with durvalumab 1500 mg q4w with (Arm A) or without (Arm B) oleclumab 3000 mg q2w x5 followed by 3000 mg q4w according to the recommended phase 2 dose. Maintenance with immunotherapy was continued after chemotherapy. The primary hypothesis is that the addition of oleclumab increases the clinical benefit rate (CBR) at week 24 defined as complete response, partial response or stable disease according to RECIST 1.1. by 20% (1-sided α=0.1 and 80% power with 68 pts/arm; 150 pts to be enrolled). Patients were stratified by PD-L1 status and CD73 immunohistochemistry (IHC) expression assessed on baseline tumor tissue by a central lab. Using the Lan-Demets approach, the stopping boundary was z test < 0.074, p=0.464. Data from this primary analysis for safety and futility were reviewed by an independent data monitoring committee ( IDMC). Results: The 68th evaluable patient reached week 24 on the 2nd Apr 2021. Patients’ baseline characteristics were well balanced between both arms. Grade 3-4 adverse events (AE) occurred in 28/33 patients (84.9%) in Arm A and 21/35 patients (60.0%) in Arm B (p=0.03). Most common grade 3-4 AE were hematological toxicities with neutropenia (Arm A 17/33 [51.5%]; Arm B 12/35 [34.3%], and anemia (Arm A 5/33 [15.2%]; 1/35 [2.9%] in Arm B). There was no increase of immune-related AEs in the arm A with oleclumab. In Arm A, 15/33 patients (45%) met the CB criterion vs. 17/35 patients (49%) in Arm B. The futility boundary was crossed with z-value = -0.2574, p=0.69 (one-sided Fisher's exact). No significant difference in CBR was observed when patients were stratified according to PD-L1 status or CD73 IHC expression. Based on these results, the IDMC recommended to stop further recruitment. Patients under treatment are allowed to continue with durvalumab and oleclumab after being informed of these preliminary results. Of note, at the moment of interim analysis, long-lasting responses were observed with immunotherapy maintenance in both arms. Conclusion: The addition of oleclumab to the combination of chemotherapy by carboplatin and paclitaxel with durvalumab as first-line therapy for advanced or mTNBC did not significantly increase CBR at 6 months. Thus, in arm A the CBR was 45% in the overall population with long-lasting responses and an acceptable toxicity profile. Longer follow-up to evaluate the survival benefit is required. Further investigations evaluating the heterogeneity of this disease using blood and tissue samples collected during trial will shed light on the mechanisms associated with response and resistance to the trial regimens and help to define specific subgroups of patients with TNBC who could benefit from ICI and adenosine targeting agents. With the aim of understanding the insertion of higher education into a new context of organization of society and State, which is managed according to the New Public Management, this work presents a comparative historical study of the organization of French and Brazilian higher education. It is concluded that the French adherence to the New Public Management is based on the knowledge economy, while the Brazilian one is based on State size reduction along the lines of the Washington Consensus; in addition, higher education institutions in both countries are organized to participate in competitions: in France, the international competition promoted by rankings, and in Brazil, the market competition.ResumoCom o objetivo de compreender a inserção do ensino superior dentro de um novo contexto de organização da sociedade e do Estado, gerido pela Nova Gestão Pública, o trabalho apresenta um estudo histórico comparativo da organização do ensino superior brasileiro e o francês. Abstract Background: One year of adjuvant trastuzumab with 12 cycles of weekly paclitaxel represents the standard of care for patients with pathological tumor size ≤2cm, node-negative, HER2-positive early breast cancer. Data supporting this indication derive from a single-arm, phase II trial that enrolled 410 patients in the United States only, where the 3 years invasive disease-free survival (DFS) rate was 98.7% (95% CI 97.6-99.8). Therefore, real-world data regarding the clinical outcomes of these patients are needed to confirm the efficacy and safety of this adjuvant anthracycline-free regimen in this population. Methods: We conducted a retrospective, observational, multicentric study to investigate survival outcomes of patients with stage I HER2-positive early breast cancer treated with adjuvant paclitaxel and trastuzumab in seven selected sites in two countries (Belgium and Italy). Eligible patients were men and women with early breast cancer of pathological tumor size between 5 and 20 mm, node-negative (N0 or N1mic), and treated with weekly adjuvant paclitaxel for 12 weeks and trastuzumab (6 mg/kg every 3 weeks administration for 1 year). Patients with a history of previous cancers were not included. The primary endpoint was disease-free survival (DFS) at 3 years from diagnosis. Thus, an optimal follow-up of 3 years from surgery was required. Baseline clinico-pathological characteristics, treatment data, disease recurrences and survival status were extracted from medical records. Survival analysis was performed using log-rank regression test. Results: Overall, 240 patients who received their adjuvant treatment between January 2014 and December 2018 were included in the analysis. The median age was 59.5 years (IQR 50.0-66.9), and 69.6% of patients were post-menopausal at the time of diagnosis. Seventy (31.8%) patients had hypertension and 20 (8.3%) had other cardiac comorbidities. Ductal carcinoma was the most represented histological type (86.3%). The median tumor size was 12mm (IQR 9-15), only seven (2.9%) patients had N1miC, and the majority of tumors (85.0%) were ER-positive. Breast-conserving surgery was performed in 80.8% of patients and 78.2% of patients had adjuvant radiotherapy. The median number of administrated cycles of weekly paclitaxel was 12 (range 1-12) and for trastuzumab 18 (range 1-19). Only one patient stopped trastuzumab prematurely because of safety reason. Aromatase inhibitors were the most frequently administered endocrine therapy (75.7% of patients with ER-positive disease). With a median follow-up of 4.7 (IQR 3.6-5.6) years, we observed a 3-year DFS rate of 98.8% (95% CI 96.2-99.6), with only three disease recurrences (one local and two distant) and four deaths (none of which was breast cancer related) during the duration of the follow-up. Conclusions: In this real-world clinical outcome of patients with stage I HER2-positive breast cancer treated with adjuvant trastuzumab and paclitaxel appeared excellent, with a 1.2% rate of recurrence at 3 years. Our data support the efficacy of an anthracycline-free regimen in this population. A longer follow-up will provide more mature data on overall survival and late relapses, especially in the ER-positive subgroup of patients. Abstract Background: Despite therapeutic advancements, a substantial number of patients with treated early-stage invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) of the breast will still relapse as late as 20 years after the initial tumor diagnosis, thus making follow-up a challenging task. Here, using patient-matched primary and metastatic tumors from patients with ILC, we aimed to decipher the evolution of lobular breast cancer through time and explore metastatic dissemination events and underlying heterogeneity. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively identified 38 patients with metastatic ILC, of which 6 with de novo metastatic disease. In total, 99 formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue samples of primary tumor and metastasis, together with well-annotated clinicopathological data, were available. Low coverage whole-genome sequencing was performed to infer somatic copy number aberrations (CNA). Phylogenetic reconstruction was performed with Integer Linear Program for the Copy-Number Tree Problem algorithm. Results: Reconstruction of the phylogenetic trees showed different patterns of dissemination. For patients with multiple metastatic samples sequenced (4/4 patients), the metastases were found to be seeded from a common metastatic precursor. For a subset of patients with multiple primaries (5/10 patients), distant metastases were seeded from specific clones inside the primary tumor. Detailed analysis of known driver genes showed that alterations in common driver genes such as TP53, MYC and CCND1 were shared between primary tumor and metastases in a large proportion of the patients (47%, 32% and 21% of patients respectively) whilst CNA in other driver genes including FGFR2, PTEN or AKT2 among others, were frequently private in the metastases. Interestingly, we observed that in approximately 30% of the patients, the metastases harbored less CNA than the matched primary tumor, resulting in shorter metastatic branches and possibly indicating a decelerated tumor progression. Further analysis of the genomic and clinicopathological characteristics showed that these patients were mostly de novo metastatic (p-value=0.002), metastasizing primarily to the liver or bone and had significantly more aberrations in NF1, AKT1 and FGFR (p-value=0.04, 0.01 and 0.03 respectively), when compared to the rest of the cohort. Finally, most of the patients (63%) had a lower number of CNA accumulated after the metastatic lineage separation compared to the common trunk, implying a late dissemination event. Conclusions: In this study, we described different metastatic dissemination events taking place in ILC. Our analyses allowed us to identify a subset of tumors characterized by slow tumor progression, indicating potential tumor dormancy, as well as evidence of late dissemination evidence for most of the patients, thus highlighting the importance of early detection through cancer screening. These findings further shed light on how ILCs evolves through time and could potentially influence the clinical management of invasive lobular breast cancer.
