Abstract:
Telemedicine is now in vogue, being deployed through computer and communication tools in various health fields, such as diabetology, nephrology, dermatology, neurology, and cardiology. With population ageing, geriatrics is coming into sharp focus. Telemedicine practices differ for home-based or institutionalized patients in long-term care homes. We take a look at telemedicine projects in France concerning the elderly.

Abstract:
Abstract Delphine de Vigan’s No et moi is a coming-of-age narrative which textually re-enacts the marginalization of the homeless No as her voice is appropriated into the first-person narrative of the precocious middle-class thirteen-year-old Lou, who persuades her parents to take No into their home. I argue that the marginalization of issues about social exclusion is systematically reinforced by the school system. Although No et moi features on literature syllabuses for both the baccalauréat in France and A Level in the UK, the text itself highlights a lack of pupil engagement with the school programme and challenges the privileging of abstract knowledge over self-development and engagement with contemporary social issues. I argue that the text makes a contribution to Disability Studies and is representative of Alexandre Gefen’s therapeutic turn in twenty-first-century French literature, whereby empathy and care for others can help us overcome our own disabilities and challenges, in this case what presents as autism.

Abstract:
The article presents fundamental arguments and reasons that motivate Ukrainian students educate abroad, prima facie – in the European academic institutions. The statistics and opinion polls data upon the number of Ukrainian students studying abroad (i.a. in the European academia) have been given. The article also delivers data on the number of students presented in the separate countries of Europe (Germany, Poland, France, Czech Republic and Italy). The initial programs proposed and studying conditions available in these countries have been outlined. The popularity of a series of European educational institutions among the youth of Ukraine has been explained. It face the academic migration which might bring about the substantial demographic changes and brain drain (through dramatic loss of the highly qualified manpower), which basically is currently coming around. Therefore it is quite hard to claim whether the bigger or smaller part of the Ukrainian students studying in Europe or going to college therein stays abroad upon completing their education or return home. To this end, the issues of educational migration and brain drain rise dramatically nowadays.

Abstract:
This special issue addresses vital epistemological, methodological, ethical and political issues at the intersections of queer theory and anthropology as they speak to the study of sexual and gender diversity in the contemporary world. The special issue centres on explorations of anthropology’s queer sensibilities, that is, experimental thinking in ethnographically informed investigations of gender and sexual difference, and related connections, disjunctures and tensions in their situated and abstract dimensions. The articles consider the possibilities and challenges of anthropology’s queer sensibilities that anthropologize queer theory whilst queering anthropology in ethnographically informed analyses. Contributors focus on anthropologizing queer theory in research on same-sex desire in Congo; LGBT migrant and asylum experience in the UK and France; same-sex intimacies within opposite gender oriented sexualities in Kenya and Ghana; secret and ambiguous intimacies and sensibilities beyond an identifiable ‘queer subject’ of rights and recognition in India; migrant imaginings of home in Indonesian lesbian relationships in Hong Kong; and cross-generational perspectives on ‘coming out’ in Taiwan, and their implications for theories of kinship and relatedness. An extensive interview with Esther Newton, the prominent figure in gay and lesbian and queer anthropology concludes the collection.

Abstract:
Among the passengers on the ocean liner Provence, as it disembarked from the Argentine capital Buenos Aires on 30 July 1954 at the outset of its 18-day voyage to Marseilles, were members of the theatre company Renaud-Barrault, returning home after a lengthy tour during the course of which it had performed in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. If there was general fatigue at the end of such a gruelling schedule, during which the Company had given over 80 performances, there must have been an accompanying sense of exhilaration, and for perhaps the first time since leaving France on 24 April, an opportunity to relax. (Even the outward journey on Bretagne, the sister ship of Provence, had been taken up with a full schedule of rehearsals for the coming tour.) The joint directors, Jean-Louis Barrault and his wife Madeleine Renaud, as well as the young musical director, Pierre Boulez, joined their colleagues on board Provence a few days later at the Brazilian port of Salvador de Bahia, having opted to return to Brazil for a few days, during which there was an opportunity to witness a candomblé ceremony. For Jean-Louis Barrault, it was evidently a joyous return to the country which was the scene of the Company's first and perhaps greatest triumphs on a tour which had been as successful in every respect as the Company's first visit to South America in 1950.

AbstractIn this article we analyze the logistics developed for prisoners of war during the War of Austrian Succession in its different Italian campaigns, taking special consideration of the years 1746, 1747 and 1748: they include the defeat of the French-Spanish army in Piacenza (1746), and the last exchanges of prisoners of the Spanish, French, Sardinian, Austrian and English armies that took place between 1747 and 1748 as a result of the negotiations of the Treaty of Aachen. In order to reconstruct this historical process we have studied prisoners´ lists, their exchange agreements, war delegates´ letters and surrender agreements of military fortresses. Therefore, a social reality of war less known by historiography is contextualized in a period which connects the Spanish War of Succession and the War of the Convention, two contexts in which POWs are better known.

Abstract:
Abstract The study was conducted in northern France at the sport management department at the University of Lille. It attempts to highlight the type of summer vacation of its students. Previous studies have shown the modalities of mobility (Urry, 2000; Seewer, 2004). Although models exist to explain destination choice, many of these have limitations, including the assumption of a rational consumer and a focus on the functional attributes of travel and tourism (Lewis, Kerr, & Pomering, 2010). However, few studies handle the behavior of consumption of students during their holidays, especially the sports students. In making their travel decisions, consumers assess the attractiveness of a destination (Sirakaya et al., 2001). Positive associations with a destination increase the likelihood of selection (Woodside & Lyson-ski, 1989). The main hypothesis concerned the type of sports that students were engaged while on vacation. That is, we postulated that students also practiced sport during their vacation time. The second hypothesis concerned the mobility that these students should be accustomed to in order to travel in competitions abroad or at least away from home. The study was conducted in a quantitative manner, with questionnaires (N=451). The main results are based on 451 Physical Education (PE) students from the area of Lille, France, who participated in this study. In this population, 55.2% were single, 44.8% were married or in a relationship (10.2% had children). Initial results show that the average household income per month is about EUR 2,500; over 74% of them go on holiday for two weeks, on average. These students are coming from wealthy families. When they say that they are “going on vacation”, a majority of them (68.7%) indicate that the main reason is to relax. Contrary to the announced hypothesis, few PE students (4.9%) wish to practice physical activities during the holiday. Independently, we noticed that a majority of student (79.5%) preferred a single destination when the purpose was to make cultural trips (51.5%). However, the question of the budget remains an issue and they favor (78%) being hosted in the cheapest accommodations. For instance, the accommodations concerned are mostly camping or holiday villages. These findings can be interesting to satisfy this kind of demand and help providers build better strategies.

Abstract:
Introduction Child hospitalization is a difficult event in the life for the whole family, probably worst for families coming from far away, specially for accommodation. Ronald McDonald Houses (RMH) created in the immediate proximity of pediatric departments of hospitals, allows hospitalized children to benefit from the presence of his family nearby. The hypothesis that the family is stronger when it is grouped together (the “family-centered-care” concept) remains difficult to demonstrate (Cochrane, 2012). In France, there is no study describing the interest of such places, and families experiences. Objectives Our objectives are to describe the experience of parents in French RMH. Methods A cross-sectional study conducted between February and April 2016, invited 50 families to participate in the 9 French RMH, by feeling an anonymous questionnaire (socio-demographic characteristics, items related to hospitalization, anxiety and depression scale -HADS, conditions of stay at the house). Descriptive statistics presented mothers and fathers experience. Results Parents of 333 hospitalized child participated : 320 mothers, 246 fathers. 44.1% of child were aged less than one year. Services more represented were : intensive care unit, oncology and neonatal. Parents were socially rather disadvantaged, living mainly in couples, with an estimated mean home-hospital time of 2 hours. They reported financial problems (>40%), sleep deprivation (>1.5 hours), and anxiety-depressive disorders: anxiety (>50%) and depression (>20%). Satisfaction staying in the house was extremely high (>95%). Conclusions We observe an undeniable added value of the RMH in the care. Nevertheless, the high level of psychological suffering shows the importance of offering help at the psycho-social level. Disclosure No significant relationships.

Abstract:
ObjectivesOff-label drug prescribing is a public health and economic issue. The aim of this study was to describe off-label prescription in general practice in France, in terms of frequency and nature, and to identify its main determining factors.DesignMulticentre cross-sectional studySettingTwenty-three training general practice officesParticipantsAll the voluntary patients coming for a medical consultation or visited at home over a cumulative period of 5 days per office between November 2015 and January 2016.MethodsEleven interns, acting as observers, collected data. Two reviewers analysed the drugs prescribed by the trainers, in order to identify those prescribed off-label in terms of their indication or the age of the patient. We used a univariate, then a multivariate model, based on hierarchical mixed-effects logistic regression.ResultsAmong the 4932 drug prescriptions registered, 911 (18.5%[95% CI17.4% to 19.6%]) were off-label, of which 865 (17.6%) due to the indication of the drug and 58 (1.2%) due to the age of the patient. The prescription never mentioned the off-label use, neither was the patient informed of it, as required by the French law. With the multivariate analysis, variables contributing to off-label prescription were the number of drugs (OR=1.05 for each additional drug), the initiation of new drug therapy (OR=1.26) and the non-specific goal of the prescription (OR=1.43); the age of the patient ≤14 years (OR=1.42); the rural location of the physician’s practice (OR=1.38) and the low frequency of the visits of national health insurance representatives (OR=0.93).ConclusionAlmost one out of five drugs prescribed in French general practice was off-label. It seems necessary to better train physicians in clinical pharmacology, to provide them with more effective drug prescription software, to reinforce postmarketing surveillance and to clearly define off-label use by consensus.

Abstract:
Fungi, bacteria, mycoplasma, Spiroplasma, virus, viroid, phanerogamic plant parasites, and other macro pests are all agents, which lead to suffering of plants, this effects the tropic levels above producers who are feeding on them for survival. Science of pathology shouldn’t be confined to humans itself (I mean understanding human diseases), it’s equally important that the science of plant pathology must be given equal importance as medicine. We have seen many epiphytotic in past, Irish famine which led to death of approx 1 million people and migration of 1.5 million Irish, chestnut blight, Dutch elm disease, lethal yellowing of coconut (in Caribbeans and south America), powdery mildew, downy mildew (Europe especially UK and France), rusts and etc. These incidents in past made us realize how important its to have concern towards crop protection orelse people die out of food or this may disturb ecology by eliminating a plant species which was about to happen in elm and chestnut. Hence its responsibility of plant pathologists to serve humanity the way doctors serve human health. Hence emerged methods to deal with plant pathogens and human being in course of history discovered different methods of controlling pathogens which include agronomic cultural methods, botanical sand etc. and then make chemical method as science advanced, chemistry revolutionized however chemicals were used in ancient antiquity i.e., Homer suggested use of Sulphur far back in 1000 BC and Tillet and Prevost suggested use of copper sulphate for smuts. However, after World War 2 the use of chemicals increased in accelerated rate. Apart from using chemicals (Sulphur for PM, Bordeaux mixture for DM, Copper Sulphate for Smut – which were using in past in history). Keeping all these apart, in 19th century ending till 20th century middle emergence of science of genetics and improvements in plant breeding gave us new technology to make disease resistant plants. And in 20th century ending, improvements in biotechnology, and coming together of plant breeding and biotechnology enabled us further to make disease resistant plants easily. The 5th generation breeding which includes markers and biotechnology as enabled us in pyramiding genes, MABC enabled us to transfer genes governing biotic stress resistance from wild plants into agronomically desirable cultivated plants (introgression), the best classic example being transfer of Xa21, xa5 and xa13 genes into Pusa Basmati – 1 making it Improved Pusa Basmati – 1. Even the conventional breeding methods are still in major use to develop disease resistance plants i.e., selection, introduction, hybridization and etc. The review article is made in very holistic manner which includes all major historic important pathogens and breeding strategies employed to improve them and it includes rusts, Panama wilt, Coffee rust, bacterial blight of rice and etc.

Abstract:
A gloomy, persistent legend has been following Jean-Marie Collot d'Herbois for two centuries. This work aims at analysing the building and the evolution of this mythical image and allows to give the character his true-dimension back. He became an actor as soon as 1767, is the author of 20 works meant for the stage andwas in charge of the entertainment in geneva and then in Lyon. As man of the stage he apparently enjoyed repeated success both before and after the revolutionary caesura. From 1789 to 1792, he worked once more for the world of theatre (both as author and critic) meanwhile his political commitments asserted themselves and progressively brought to light the one who later became a man of power. He was elected at the convention by the citizens of paris, became a prominent member of the jacobins and went several times on assignments to the departements (Nice, Nièvre, Loiret, Oise, Lyon). He became a member for the committee of public safety in september 1793. On these accounts he is one of the key elements in the understanding of the tragedies and challenges of the year ii, as well as the period that follows

Abstract:
Migrations from Sub-Saharan Africa to Europe are recent. Slave trade organized by Europeans to the America created some possibilities of settlement in Europe between the sixteenth and the nineteenth centuries for Black African persons, but the phenomenon was marginal. Migratory flow really begins in the twentieth century. Colonial troops arrived in France to take part in the battles of the First World War. After this first experience, voluntary migrations were organized by some communities of West Africa to some harbors in France. In the sixties, the phenomenon increased but concerned only men whose purpose was to come back rapidly at home with their savings. Little by little, different European countries were concerned by the immigration of women and families coming from all parts of Africa. This article aims to describe and analyze the transformations of the migratory flows and the ways of integration in the receiving societies with cases concerning mainly France and the UK.

Abstract:
In their chapter, Marcelline Block and Jennifer Kirby consider cinematic lineage and influence. This chapter argues that Gondry’s most recent feature, Microbe & Gasoline, a picaresque narrative, draws from the conventions of the road movie through its focus on social outsiders, light-hearted depiction of run-ins with the police, and emphasis on male bonding. This film also provides commentary on the notion and definition of “home” in France. Microbe & Gasoline, which follows two teenage boys taking a 250-mile-long journey through France in a makeshift house on wheels, links a coming-of-age narrative to a growing awareness of the complexities and divisions within France. In this film, Gondry depicts his trademark childhood play and whimsy alongside a sobering adult realization of injustices in the world. Representing yet another form of border crossing, the film blends conventions from the American road movie with the French road movie’s potential for what Gott calls “elaborating flexible, transnational and multicultural alternatives to a monolithic version of France.” It serves to reinforce Gondry’s status as an auteur whose work is frequently transnational in character, recalling Hill’s claim that Gondry is the spiritual heir to Jean Cocteau and Georges Méliès, as well as Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg.

Abstract:
Vaughan Williams volunteered for military service shortly after the Great War broke out, despite being over the age of conscription. He served first with the Royal Army Medical Corps in France and Greece, and then (after receiving a commission to second lieutenant) with the Royal Garrison Artillery and the British Expeditionary Forces in France. Vaughan Williams’s return home elicited a host of mixed feelings, relief at having survived foremost among them, but also the anticipation of coming back to his wife and music. Beyond returning to composition, he was fortunate to be appointed to a teaching position at the Royal College of Music, where he played a hugely influential role in shaping the next generation of British musicians. He also began consolidating his own style into an idiom often referred to as “pastoralism,” which emerged in several works left unfinished or unrevised at the start of the war (including The Lark Ascending and the Four Hymns), and three new ones: the Pastoral Symphony, The Shepherds of the Delectable Mountains, and the Mass in G Minor. These works gained attention both at home and abroad, with the Vaughan Williamses traveling to the United States to see the Pastoral Symphony in performance, and the Mass garnering acclaim in Germany. Such performances helped establish Vaughan Williams as a significant player on the international stage as well as in England.

Abstract This chapter continues Frances Willard’s story into her late teens, as she moved to the town that became her permanent home: Evanston, Illinois. Pursuing her education at North-Western Female College, Willard wrestled with questions pertaining to her future and her Christian faith. The chapter spotlights how Willard was drawn into the theological rhythms of mid-nineteenth-century Methodism, particularly coming from the United States’ largest Protestant denomination, the Methodist Episcopal Church. Influenced by prominent church leaders Phoebe Palmer and Matthew Simpson, Willard somewhat reluctantly embraced Christianity by her early twenties. Even as she made the decision to become a Christian, Willard remained captivated by an array of intellectual sources, including the writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson and Margaret Fuller.

Abstract:
Lithophane is a transparent plate on which, with the help of the different thickness of this plate, an image is formed. Light that passes through the plate from the back side of the plate shows a clear gray image on the front side of this plate. The strength of the transparency is determined by the material of the plate and the light source coming from behind. Without backlighting, the subject on the lithophane cannot be seen. Lithophanes in the form of porcelain vases were discovered in China long before the technique made its way to Europe. In Europe the origins of lithophanes date back to the early 19th century in France. Europeans perfected the technique and also used it to reproduce famous portraits and paintings. Today, the production of lithophanes is experiencing a renaissance with the advent of 3D printing technologies. In the research paper, the process of making lithophane using 3D printing is presented. First, 3D printing technologies are presented, more specifically the technology of extrusion of materials or thermoplastics modelled by joining layers. Then, the materials used for 3D printing with the mentioned technology are presented. Next, the procedures for 3D acquisition and reproduction of reliefs are described, and at the end, the lithophane itself is presented. In the practical part, the whole process of making lithophane is presented. For the creation of the lithophane model, the 3D modelling program Blender was used, and the lithophanes in physical form were made with the Creality Ender 3 3D printer using PLA filament. Droplet and electrophotographic printers were also used to produce colour lithophanes. The influence of LED and halogen lamps on the final impression of lithophane reproduction was also compared. Lithophanes produced with different print settings and different colour reproductions were compared. The results showed that the best wall thickness is one millimetre, and the layer thickness is the smallest value allowed by the printer. The orientation of the lithophane during printing has a great influence on the final image of the design. The best orientation is upright. Color reproduction is best when using electrophotographic printing in combination with acrylic varnish. Lighting research showed that LED is better than halogen lamps. The finished lithophane was of satisfactory quality and could be used as a decoration for the home or to organize an art exhibition with a large number of coloured lithophanes reproducing various artworks and motifs.

"Post Frac Cleanout and Plug Milling Optimization Strategy. Successful Implementation in Extremely Depleted Wells in the Sultanate of Oman." In SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition. Abstract:
Abstract Post frac cleanout and milling operations are considered some of the most critical activities that leverage on the operational benefits of coiled tubing. Therefore, they deserve the highest focus on continuous improvement and planning since the associated efficiency gains are often immediately quantifiable. This paper will focus on the improvement and optimization of post frac cleanout and milling strategies in extremely depleted wells in the Sultanate Of Oman. The gains from such optimization helped improve wells delivery and overall performances. Plug and perf methodology is still the preferred placement method of hydraulic fractures. One of the main challenges in depleted wells is the need for cleanout and plug milling after each stage to avoid risk of CT becoming stuck either differentially due to depletion or mechanically with plug cuttings in case circulation is lost. For years the frac and mill concept was adopted to complete those wells, resulting in frequent delays to frac operations and huge cost impact to the overall project. An efficiency improvement plan was agreed upon to address this particular challenge. A step-by-step strategy improvement plan was developed via in-depth analysis of frac initiation and reservoir characteristics in order to combine together multiple stages of post-frac cleanout and milling activities. This was done through unique software simulations and fluid selection criteria to achieve the lowest possible bottom hole pressure to minimize the losses in addition to the highest possible lifting velocity and best carrying medium conditions. Moreover, the utilization of engineered fluid solutions with foaming agent and foam generator have demonstrated significant added value through enhancement of carrying fluid properties while achieving the lowest possible settling velocity, which in turn lead to the highest possible velocity factor. After completing the agreed optimization plan, a post frac cleanout with 6-plug milling was performed in a single combined stage instead of multiple individual stages. This improvement reduced the overall frac operation for 6 stages from nearly 30-35 days to 19-20 days. Understanding the field and reservoir pressures in addition to fluid selection for both post frac cleanout and milling operation is crucial to successful implementation of this methodology. This achievement was delivered through a collaboration between many different business units from design to execution and it will help Petroleum Development Oman PDO on the future planning of hydraulic fracturing activity. The completion of the entire wells (well delivery) was achieved in a significantly shorter period of time compared to previous wells; this is reflected on actual cost reduction of more than 20% of total cost/AFE.

Abstract:
This paper is aiming to investigate the impact of perceived autonomy and perceived risk on attitudes and opinion about two assistive robots (Paro© and Asimo©), as factors explaining the probability to become “friend” with a robot. The worldwide population of elderly people is growing rapidly and in the coming decades the proportion of older people in the developed countries will change significantly. This demographic shift will create a huge increase in demand for domestic and health-care robotics systems. But the spread of robots in everyday life particularly for purposes of healthcare already gives rise to questions about acceptability, moral and legal responsibility. A robotics system can be powerful and useful, there is not a reason why this system is usable and/or desirable and in fine, accepted. It is still unclear how well these new “faux-people” will be accepted by society, for they raise fundamental questions about what it means to be human, especially at home or in nursing house.METHOD. In a large online survey conducted in France, 2 783 participants (936 adolescents with a mean-age of 12.2 years; 1077 adults with a mean-age of 33.4 years; and 770 seniors with a mean-age of 71.3 years) were asked to complete three questionnaires: (1) The DOSPERT scale (for Domain-Specific Risk-Taking; Blais & Weber, 2006) to assess risk attitude and perception of risks for our participants; (2) The revised version of the FQUA-R scale (for Friendship Quality- Revised; Thien, Razak & Jamil, 2012) to assess close relationships and potential friendship with a robot; (3) The PAS (for Perception of Autonomy Scale; Lombard & Dinet, 2015) to assess positive and negative attitudes towards autonomy of robots. Each participant was asked to complete the three questionnaires twice: before and after viewing two videos showing two assistive robots (Paro© and Asimo©) interacting with human people: In one of the videos, a young woman interacts with the robotic baby-seal Paro©, and gives many explanations about the interests for elderly people (“Paro© gives kindness”, “its allows to create an attachment”). Moreover, we can see an elderly woman who caresses Paro©. In the other video, several physical characteristics of Asimo© are presented (size, weight) and the robot performs several tasks by interacting with a young woman (Asimo© walks, runs, plays football, opens a bottle, serves a glass, etc.).RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. For the two robots, structural equation modelling was used to determine the relationships between all the variables. Results have mainly showed that (i) Perceived risk is mainly and significantly explained by attitudes about risks in health and social domains whatever the gender and the age, and (ii) Perceived autonomy has a direct and positive effect on Friendship quality. In other words, our results tend to confirm that our three factors (perceived risk, perceived autonomy and friendship) are strongly interrelated and should be integrated in studies investigating the acceptability of assistive robots, and confirm that these three factors have different impact according to the physical appearance of the robot (human-like for Asimo© or animal-like shape for Paro©). Industrial and theoretical perspectives are discussed.

Abstract:
Abstract Productivity index (PI) degradation is a critical issue that negatively impacts hydrocarbon recovery. This problem is very common in deepwater environments such as Gulf of Mexico (GOM). In recent years, several publications have addressed this issue proposing integrated workflows to assess and mitigate this problem and providing interesting insights into the causes of this phenomenon. Our organization commissioned a study (Knobles et al. 2017) to understand the reasons for the high productivity declines observed across our assets in GOM and identify lessons learned and best practices to reduce the severity of the PI degradation in cased-hole-frac-pack (CHFP) completions in high-permeability reservoirs (50-1000 mD), which are the most common in our operations. These findings have contributed to improve our CHFP performance. This performance has been assessed based on a completion scorecard that grades and weights the key design and execution parameters of the CHFP completion and yields a score (0 to 100) for the completion execution and productivity. Knobles et al. established a correlation between the productivity score in the completion scorecard and a qualitative ranking of the well productivity performance, namely productivity tiers. The wells in scope were categorized in four groups, tier 1, tier 2, tier 3, and tier 4. Tier 1 is the highest performance level, i.e., low initial skin and low productivity degradation. Later, the completion scorecard was reviewed by a group of completion subject-matter experts (SME) to improve the correlation between the productivity score and the productivity tiers. The updated scorecard enhanced this relationship making it suitable as an indicator of long-term productivity. However, the use of this correlation in production forecasting is limited because of its categorical nature. The objective of this work is to quantify the relationship between the completion scorecard and the productivity performance and use the results to narrow down the productivity degradation uncertainty range in production forecasts. We use data science concepts and tools to analyze our well productivity database, Integral Well Productivity Tracker (IWPT), and develop a numeric correlation between the actual well productivity data observed in the field and the completion scorecard results from the post-job evaluations. The process includes IWPT data wrangling, modeling, and visualization. We performed regression analyses on the normalized productivity index and cumulative liquid production for approximately 120 wells in the IWPT dataset to calculate PI degradation rate for each well and combine them with the completion scorecard results. The results validate the conclusion from Knobles et al.'s work, i.e., a correlation exits between the productivity score from the completion scorecard and the productivity performance. The new, numerical relationship allows us to consider the improvements in completion quality. This quantitative correlation can inform the definition of the productivity-degradation-uncertainty ranges in the production forecast during planning and after the completion job when the completion scorecard results are available. Narrowing down the uncertainty in productivity degradation significantly impacts the estimated-ultimate recovery (EUR) of any GOM deepwater project.
