Abstract:
Penetration of foreign bodies may present a diagnostic challenge to the surgeon. The foreign body granuloma is a biological response of tissue to any foreign body in the tissue. The pathway of arriving to the diagnosis of foreign body granuloma becomes difficult when patient presents with non specific symptoms such as pain/ swelling, and in history- no recollection of previous trauma. It can be of two types- a) Iatrogenic gossypiboma by retained surgical sponge intra-operatively b) Granulation by a penetrating foreign body such as wooden splinter or other materials. -The most frequent reported injury is to hand, thigh, knee and feet; these may be limited to soft tissue of may be intra articular. The time and type of presentation varies according to the immune status of the individual. In cases, where history of trauma is uncertain, the presentation is very late and the radiographic appearance may be confusing - Median time of presentation: 4 months to 20 years

Abstract:
Foreign aid is known to be the primary means through which governments assist each other. Beyond the altruistic incentives for such help, however, there is self-interest involved. Consequently, foreign aid is not always directed towards the states who need it the most, but rather to those, who can contribute to the donor’s strategic considerations. India is one of the emerging countries, which over the past three decades has been expanding its foreign aid in scale and scope. The rationale behind such foreign policy move by New Delhi is argued to be improving India’s international standing. Its biggest rival China, however, is rapidly expanding its own influence and is stepping into India’s strategic space. In this paper we argue that ongoing emerging power rivalry with China is a key determinant in New Delhi’s foreign aid allocation decisions. we analyse India’s foreign assistance for the period 2015-2020 and look for the ‘China factor’ in its allocation strategies. The cases of the Maldives and Mauritius provide evidence for the main argument and show India as a ‘reactive donor’.

Abstract:
In 2018, the banking world became a hot topic of conversation because several foreign companies announced their plans to own shares in local banks in Indonesia. Merger between local banks and foreign banks will allow foreign workers to work in Indonesia. This study aims to examine whether foreign institutional ownership, foreign directors and foreign commissioners have an effect on profitability. The sample used in this research is banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2018. The research method used is multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that foreign institutional ownership has an effect on profitability. Acquisitions by foreign parties are considered to be able to improve the performance of local banks. Foreign-owned banks are associated with increased profits. Meanwhile, both foreign directors and foreign commissioners have no effect on profitability. The low number of foreign directors and commissioners makes their performance unnoticeable.

Abstract:
Mandarin speakers’ productions of English sentences, spontaneous speech, and filtered speech were rated for degree of foreign accent by native English and Mandarin listeners. Results showed Mandarin speakers with 12 years' length of residence (LOR) in the U.S. were rated to be accented as those with zero LOR. Untrained native Mandarin listeners with no LOR in the target language environment were comparable to native English listeners in gauging degree of foreign accent based on sentences and spontaneous speech. No stimulus effect was found between sentences and spontaneous speech for accent rating. Filtered natural speech appeared to attenuate degree of foreign accent and Mandarin listeners were not able to assess foreign accent based on long excerpts of filtered speech. The findings suggest that LOR is not an important predictor of degree of foreign accent for adult speakers with late age of arrival (AOA).
