Full textThe world has seen some rather significant changes in recent years, and with it the way we interact and relate to it. The advent of social media has given rise to a phenomenon in which the invoking of the spreading culture of fitness has allowed a behavior consisting of the publication of increasingly sexually explicit and provocative material to take hold and become normalized among Swedish youth. The purpose of this study is to explore the drive and reasoning governing the concept of personal expression and the publication of personal material in the modern digital age of social media. I aim to do this by combining the perspectives outlined in the works of Thorstein Veblen and Jean Baudrillard respectively, with the three-dimensional model of critical discourse analysis as created by Norman Fairclough. This methodological approach, combining theory and methodological guidelines, will then be applied to the modern Swedish phenomena surrounding fitness and its emanation and expression on the popular social media platform Instagram. By studying the images and their related captions the aim was to decipher the discursive relations and conditions that maintain and sustain this behavior and allow it to be normalized. The resulting interpretations indicate the occurrence of a discursive masking of the underlying strive for social validation through the acquisition of social capital. By invoking fitness as a legitimizing factor the discourse transforms the reality of these publications from something which would otherwise be frowned upon, into a behavior more in line with existing social norms.

Full textOur project consists in the creation of a gymnasium that will implement technology to potentiate the results of the people in a fast and efficient way. It is proven that the first 21 days a person can change their habits. Therefore, the commitment of Fitness One will make a difference generating a strong impact for obtaining results through technology. In Fitness One you can perform your exercises by connecting to a platform that allows the realization of semi-personalized training virtually and from anywhere. The instructor will be able to attend the users, and will provide online support on the correct way to perform the exercises. Fitness One will be located on Avenida Primavera in the district of Surquillo, a place properly equipped with machines and state-of-the-art technology, for which 175,000 soles will be invested, of which 100,000 soles are contributions from the four members of Fitness One and 75,000 soles financed by third parties. The return to investors will be in the next 36 months after the start of operations.

Lack of physical activity is a major problem contributing to diseases and poor health. Nowadays, mobile fitness apps like Fitbit and Runkeeper help encourage people to exercise. Many apps focus primarily on things like steps for each person. However, this research shifts the focus to small team goals and motivations, such as team rank and team progress toward an overall goal. This research explores ways to get people motivated through showing them information on their mobile phone or a web site. Several different visual displays were created and evaluated.

The fitness industry has not seen a commercially successful revolution since the elliptical trainer in the mid 1990s. Newer products such as the Cybex Arc Trainer are vying to replicate this success, but are only slowly gaining acceptance. Most companies that have tried to succeed with unique products or heavy telemarketing, have failed in leaving any lasting or notable mark. In an attempt to do what others have failed in doing, the goal of this project was to develop the next revolutionary product in the industry. In the footsteps of the elliptical trainer and Bowflex, the aim is to design a brand new fitness product to create industry buzz and become a household name. The work done has gone through the usual design process, beginning with extensive research and continuing to problem selection, solution brainstorming, quantity conceptualization, quality narrowing, and concept development ...

Nowadays, organizations are facing changing requirements. Dynamic capability is playing a critical role in helping organizations survive in rapidly changing environments. However, what kind of organizational orientation can enhance dynamic capability? Prior research proved that program orientation can coordinate projects appropriately and respond changes quickly. This research tries to explore the relationship between program orientation and dynamic capability, and we divide dynamic capability in two parts, technical fitness and evolutionary fitness which represent internal dynamic capability and external dynamic capability individually. We also discuss shared vision and social integration that may effects program orientation individually. This research collects empirical data from 125 manufacturing firms in Taiwan and analyzes the data with SmartPLS. The result shows that shared vision and social integration have positive impact on program orientation, and program orientation are positively associated with technical fitness and evolutionary fitness.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of physical fitness curriculum on students’ health fitness development. The researcher executed an experimental physical fitness curriculum on fourth-grade students from an remote area for a period of 12 weeks. The physical fitness curriculum is implemented twice a week, each time 40 minutes in Physical Education Class. The subjects had undertaken the physical fitness examination before and after the physical fitness curriculum. The data collected was analyzed through SPSS for Windows18.0 to attain descriptive statistics, radar maps and norm-referenced comparative analysis. After processing and analyzing the data, the study results can be summarized as following: 1.After 12 weeks of physical fitness curriculum, there is a significant difference in students’ BMI index: girls’ BMI index are in the standard range while boys’ BMI index drop below the index in the pretest. 2.After 12 weeks of physical fitness curriculum, there is a significant difference in students’ cardiopulmonary fitness. 3.After 12 weeks of physical fitness curriculum, there is a significant difference in students’ softness. 4.After 12 weeks of physical fitness curriculum, there is no significant difference in students’ muscular endurance. 5.After 12 weeks of physical fitness curriculum, there is a significant difference in instantaneous muscle force. Experimental results verified that the physical fitness curriculum benefited on students’ health fitness development and raised the optimum effects of students’ health fitness, thus could serve as the reference of physical fitness instruction.
