Abstract:
Emocje to stan znacznego poruszenia umysłu.

Abstract:
We propose a new mechanism leading to scale-free networks which is based on the presence of an intrinsic character of a vertex called fitness. In our model, a vertex i is assigned a fitness xi, drawn from a given probability distribution function f(x). During network evolution, with rate p we add a vertex j of fitness xj and connect to an existing vertex i of fitness xi selected preferentially to a linking probability function g(xi, xj) which depends on the fitnesses of the two vertices involved and, with rate 1 - p we create an edge between two already existed vertices with fitnesses xi and xj, with a probability also preferential to the connection function g(xi, xj). For the proper choice of g, the resulting networks have generalized power-laws, irrespective of the fitness distribution of vertices.

Abstract:
Abstract A general solution is presented of the problem of specifying all alternative, generally frequency-dependent, (absolute) fitness sets which give rise to the same allele frequency changes and population dynamics as a given fitness set. The one- and two-locus cases are analyzed in detail and the method is then extended to the n-locus case. It is shown that if biological constraints can be used to specify the mean fitness of the population and the relative fitnesses of the heterozygotes, then the allele frequency trajectories determine a unique fitness set.

Abstract:
The world has seen some rather significant changes in recent years, and with it the way we interact and relate to it. The advent of social media has given rise to a phenomenon in which the invoking of the spreading culture of fitness has allowed a behavior consisting of the publication of increasingly sexually explicit and provocative material to take hold and become normalized among Swedish youth. The purpose of this study is to explore the drive and reasoning governing the concept of personal expression and the publication of personal material in the modern digital age of social media. I aim to do this by combining the perspectives outlined in the works of Thorstein Veblen and Jean Baudrillard respectively, with the three-dimensional model of critical discourse analysis as created by Norman Fairclough. This methodological approach, combining theory and methodological guidelines, will then be applied to the modern Swedish phenomena surrounding fitness and its emanation and expression on the popular social media platform Instagram. By studying the images and their related captions the aim was to decipher the discursive relations and conditions that maintain and sustain this behavior and allow it to be normalized. The resulting interpretations indicate the occurrence of a discursive masking of the underlying strive for social validation through the acquisition of social capital. By invoking fitness as a legitimizing factor the discourse transforms the reality of these publications from something which would otherwise be frowned upon, into a behavior more in line with existing social norms.

Abstract:
Fitness landscape is a concept, which describes the dependence of phenotype on genotype. It was proposed almost a hundred years ago but only recent burst of technologies finally allowed exploring it. We studied different aspects of fitness landscape applying both: computational and experimental approaches. Using mammalian mitochondrial tRNAs we proved that evolution can proceed not only along the ridges of high fitness but also cross the low fitness valleys. Functional analysis of more than 56 000 mutants of green fluorescent protein from Aequorea victoria (avGFP) allowed us to describe local fitness landscape around a particular fitness peak. In addition to this we studied a case of population being on a slope – genetic code is undergoing changes in Methanosarcina making them stay in sub-optimum.

Abstract:
In this way, it will be important to focus the theme with the fitness area, since the internet also promotes fashions, and nowadays fitness starts to be a fashion too, which can be positive. The objective of this study was to know the motivations of the followers as well as to understand who the fitness influencers are. Methodologically, a survey was prepared and shared through the various social networks for the maximum number of followers. All statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS Statistics software, using Pearson's correlation. The results of this study were the change in the behaviour of followers, such as: making the same recipe, the same training and the same exercise, due to the influence of influencers and the main motivations was the high number of followers in the profiles and finally, also to look for inspiration for a healthy lifestyle. However, there is a contradiction, since followers do not agree that having many followers is equivalent to having technical knowledge. We concluded a change in behaviour by followers inspired by fitness influencers, to the point of wanting to become more physically similar to the models to follow. Likewise, social networks can be a tool to encourage the population that uses them to seek a healthier lifestyle but with professionals; Resumen: En el mundo actual en el que vivimos, existe una creciente necesidad de comunicarse y compartir contenido a través de redes sociales y canales de comunicación interactivos, siendo una forma práctica y rápida de transmitir el mensaje al mayor número de personas / seguidores. Abstract:
Lack of physical activity is a major problem contributing to diseases and poor health. Nowadays, mobile fitness apps serve in important roles in encouraging and facilitating people to do more physical exercise. Many apps focus primarily on individual behavioral strategies, such as displaying individual steps to encourage physical activity. Such strategies help evoke one's internal motivation such as peer recognition and competition achievement. However, such apps usually de-emphasize or ignore interpersonal behavioral strategies, such as team rank. And group-based strategies are very important in aspects such as peer recognition and can facilitate more physical activity. This research explores the design strategies of group-based dynamic approaches for encouraging physical activity in small-size groups. The development effort takes into account the different roles of mobile devices and laptops and the evaluation explored the effectiveness of the design.

Lack of physical activity is a major problem contributing to diseases and poor health. Nowadays, mobile fitness apps like Fitbit and Runkeeper help encourage people to exercise. Many apps focus primarily on things like steps for each person. However, this research shifts the focus to small team goals and motivations, such as team rank and team progress toward an overall goal. This research explores ways to get people motivated through showing them information on their mobile phone or a web site. Several different visual displays were created and evaluated.

Ylinen, S. (Senja). "”Fitness-urheilija koulumaailmassa”:opiskelijoiden ja opettajien kokemuksia fitness-urheilijan elämäntavan toteuttamisesta koulumaailmassa." Master's thesis, University of Oulu, 2017. http://urn.fi/URN:NBN:fi:oulu-201712013252.

Abstract:
Tämän empiirisen tutkimuksen aineistonkeruumenetelmänä on käytetty kirjoitelmia. Kirjoitelmat ovat fitness-urheilijoiden (n=8) kirjoittamia, joissa he kuvaavat kokemuksiaan kilpaurheilun ja koulumaailman kohtaamisesta. Kyseessä on laadullinen tutkimus, jonka tutkimusmenetelmänä on käytetty fenomenografista tutkimusotetta. Aineiston analyysimenetelmänä on käytetty sisällön analyysiä. Tutkimuksen toteutuksessa on huolehdittu eettisyyden hyvästä toteutumisesta. Tutkimusaineistoa on käsitelty kunnioituksella ja tutkittavien identiteetti on ehdottomasti säilytetty. Tutkimukselle olisi mahdollista tehdä jatkotutkimuksia suuremmalla otannalla ja käyttää kenties haastattelua aineistonkeruumenetelmänä.

In ASME 2005 24th International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering. ASMEDC, 2005. http://dx.doi.org/10.1115/omae2005-67565.

Abstract:
FITNET is a four-year European thematic network with the objective of developing and extending the use of fitness-for-service (FFS) procedures for welded and non-welded metallic structures throughout Europe. It is partly funded by the European Commission within the fifth framework program and it was launched in February 2002. The network currently consists of about 50 organisations from 17 European countries and supported by institutions from USA, Japan and Korea. Further information can be found in the FITNET TN website: http://www.eurofitnet.org. The FITNET FFS Procedure is built up in four major analysis modules namely fracture, fatigue, creep and corrosion. The first official draft is available in early 2006 in the form of an official CEN document. Industrial components are as a rule exposed to fluctuating loads and hence consideration of fatigue damages accumulation or of fatigue crack growth is a critical issue. The aim of this paper is to present the features and the main analysis routes of the FITNET FFE Fatigue Module of the FITNET FFS Procedure to assess the fatigue life of the load carrying metallic components manufactured with and without welds. The paper includes an industrial case from ship structure for the application of two fatigue assessment routes.

Abstract:
The European FITNET consortium was convened in 2002 with the remit of preparing a procedure for fitness-for-service (FFS) evaluation of flawed engineering components. The procedure is intended to be used by a broad range of industries across Europe, and can be used at any stage in the life of an engineering component, eg design, fabrication, operation, failure analysis or life extension. This paper presents an overview of the structure of the procedure. There are four main modules, each covering a particular failure or damage mechanism: fracture, fatigue, creep and corrosion (including environmentally-assisted cracking). These are linked by the use of a common terminology and a single set of reference compendia (annexes), eg for stress intensity, plastic collapse and residual stress, so that a particular flaw can be rapidly analysed for more than one failure mechanism. The FITNET fracture assessment procedures in particular represent a significant advance compared with current published FFS procedures such as API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 and BS 7910. There is a hierarchy of different approaches, designated Options 0 to 5, the choice between them depending on the quality of information (in particular, materials property data) available to the user. This could range from Charpy and tensile data only (Option 0) through to the constraint-dependence of fracture toughness (Option 5). Other Options allow crack driving force to be calculated directly from FEA (Option 4), or permit weld metal strength mismatch to be taken into account (Option 2). The fatigue analysis module likewise contains several alternative approaches, termed Routes. Some (Routes 1–3) are based on the concept of a nominally flaw-free structure, whilst Route 4 is based on cycle-by-cycle integration of the Paris law, and Route 5 addresses non-planar flaws. FITNET also set itself the goal of providing training in FFS techniques, both through a series of seminars held during the project (2002–2006) and through provision of lasting training material (slides, tutorials, case studies and a validation document), which are now publicly available.
