Abstract: This paper attempts to establish the parameters of the anti-war film, the basic premise of which is that the cultural and racial differences of enemies in war are erased, and an emotionally appealing but theoretically problematic notion of a commonly shared humanity is made to the viewer. Various examples are examined. It is argued that this humanistic message is not intended as a utopian proposal for the end of war, however, but to counteract the patriotic ideology propounded by governments to justify wars. Keywords: war films; anti-war films; patriotism; humanism.

Abstract:
For over 30 years Channel 4 has supported more than 400 feature films through its production arm, Film4. However, despite the scale and variety of this contribution to British cinema, only a handful of these productions are regularly cited in print media and academic texts as being representative of the Film4 catalogue and/or influential in British film culture generally. This article will look at the creation of top films lists as a case of canon formation, and the ways in which the Film4 canon in particular continues to be shaped and contested, not only by critics, academics and cultural institutions, but by Channel 4 itself. It draws upon the work of Janet Staiger (1985) on canon formation and of Joseph Lampel and Shivasharan Nadavulakere (2009) on retrospective consecration in order to consider the processes by which certain films are more likely to appear in critics' best films lists. Bearing in mind that the brand identity of Film4 depends also on Channel 4's own promotional activities, the article will go on to examine two case studies of Film4 anniversary seasons in order to assess the part that scheduling plays in constructing the channel's own representations of its contribution to British cinema. Finally, after exploring some of the reasons why certain films are remembered (and why others are forgotten), attention will turn to the ways in which certain forgotten films can be re-presented in DVD and video-on-demand markets. This reveals the extent to which commercial factors are also determinants in the processes of canon formation and can impinge upon the attribution of cultural value.

Abstract:
The quantity and quality of wall rocket (Diplotaxis tenuifolia L.) production are strongly influenced by the cultivation system, in particular the protected environment conditions and nitrogen fertilization. In the present research, we tested two greenhouse cover films (Film1: diffuse light; Film2: clear), to verify the effects on yield and nitrate content (a detrimental factor of quality) of rocket leaves, fertilized with optimal (N2) or sub-optimal nitrogen dose (N1), or unfertilized (N0). In addition, we combined the N fertilization with a biostimulant application, declared by the manufacturer as able to reduce nitrate content. Film1 provided a 36% yield increase over Film2 and allowed an increasing production until the V harvest, opposite to what was recorded under Film2, where the yield increased only until the III harvest. Additionally, biostimulant application boosted the yield (+40%), as well as nitrogen fertilization. Both factors had the best performance under Film1, where N1 yield was even equal to N2-Film2. The nitrate content showed a seasonal trend (lower values in spring harvests) and it was boosted by nitrogen (1096, 3696, and 4963 mg/kg fresh weight, for N0, N1, and N2, respectively) and biostimulant application (3924 vs. 2580 mg/kg fresh weight). Therefore, the use of diffuse-light film seems useful to obtain higher yield with a halved N dose as well as in combination with biostimulant application, but the latter did not confirm the capacity to contain nitrate, at least for this crop and in this cultivation system.

Abstract:
SummaryUsing a RF‐Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor (RF‐PECVD) Depositions method, employing hydrogen and methane gas, Diamond like carbon (DLC) films were fabricated on glass and silicon substrates. The impact of varying CH4 to H2 ratios on the resulting film's structure, optical characteristics, and mechanical properties was investigated. The deposition process occurred at methane flow rates spanning 5 to 40 sccm. The films' surface morphology, and roughness were analyzed through Atomic Force Microscopy. Moreover, the Vickers hardness tests was employed to determine the hardness of produced films. The optical behavior of the DLC thin films was explored utilizing UV‐visible spectrometry and ellipsometry. A thorough investigation was conducted to understand how the CH4 flow rate influences layer growth, morphology, topography, and how these factors relate to the films' transmittance, reflectance, refractive index, and optical band gap.

Abstract:
Recently, thermoelectric thin films have been gaining attention as potential thermoelectric generators that can be used to power external devices. Such films can recover electrical energy from waste heat and are environmentally friendly. Micro fabrication of thin films is achieved by sputtering on silicon films. In this study, the sputtering of Bismuth Telluride (N-type, P-type) films was investigated. Research has verified the efficiency of Bismuth Telluride films, but little is known about how the sputtering process affects the film's quality. Thus, the focus of this study explores how sputtering parameters of discontinuous sputtering intervals, exposure to normal atmospheric conditions and in situ annealing affect the thickness, thermoelectric properties, and microstructure of films. This will bring about a better understanding of the relationship between the sputtering process and the properties of the produced film for both N and P type materials. Recommendations based on this study can contribute to the production of more efficient thin films suitable for energy harvest application.

Abstract:
Thin films of composite Zinc Tin Oxide (ZTO) are grown on glass substrates by thermal vapor evaporation. Thin films with different ratios of ZnO: SnO2= (90:10, 80:20, 70:30, 60:40 and 50:50) wt% were prepared and annealed at 500 °C for 2 h. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns reveal that the ZTO films have become polycrystalline as we increase the percentage of tin oxide. The crystallinity of films also increases significantly. The field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) results indicate that the percentage of tin oxide changes the film's morphology. UV visible spectroscopy of the films indicates that the band gap is reduced with the increased percentage of tin oxide in the mixture, and transmittance is also decreased at a higher percentage. The transmittance of the films ranges from 90 to 83 %, while the band gap falls within the range of 3.90 to 3.40 eV. These characteristics make the films well-suited for solar cell window layers.

Properties of copper films produced using atomic layer deposition (ALD) were characterized. Composition, morphology, and electrical properties of these films grown on glass, as well as Ta, TiN, and TaN on silicon wafers were examined. The resistivity of films thicker than about 60 nm was near bulk value. Films were deposited using a two-step ALD process in which copper(II)-1,1,1,5,5,5,-hexafluoroacetylacetonate hydrate and water vapor were introduced in the first step and a reducing agent was introduced in a subsequent step. Five reducing agents were evaluated, with the best results obtained using isopropanol or formalin. The optimum deposition temperature with isopropanol was about 260 °C, whereas it was about 300 °C with formalin. These films were also investigated as seed layers for electrodeposition of thicker Cu layers for possible interconnect applications. Excellent fills in high aspect ratio trenches were demonstrated.

Abstract:
Hydrogen interaction with defects and structural development of Pd films with various microstructures were investigated. Nanocrystalline, polycrystalline and epitaxial Pd films were prepared and electrochemically loaded with hydrogen. Structural changes of Pd films caused by absorbed hydrogen were studied by in-situ X-ray diffraction combined with acoustic emission and measurement of electromotorical force. Development of defects during hydrogen loading was investigated by positron annihilation spectroscopy. It was found that hydrogen firstly fills open volume defects existing already in the films and subsequently it occupies also interstitial sites in Pd lattice. Absorbed hydrogen causes volume expansion, which is strongly anisotropic in thin films. This introduces high stress into the films loaded with hydrogen. Acoustic emission measurements revealed that when hydrogen-induced stress achieves a certain critical level rearrangement of misfit dislocations takes place. The stress which grows with increasing hydrogen concentration can be further released by plastic deformation and also by detachment of the film from the substrate.

Abstract:
Aluminum-doped NiO thin films were generated on glass substrates by dip coating at different temperatures (400 to 500 °C) using 0.05 M of the precursor nickel acetate. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to investigate the structural and morphological aspects of the films. UV-visible spectroscopy was utilized to assess the optical properties of the films, and the energy band gap was confirmed to be 3.42,3.6, and 3.8 eV for as-prepared and thin films, respectively. Photoluminescence (PL) measurements were used to investigate electronic faults. The XRD lines of the transferred Al-doped NiO were strengthened due to the fact the film's temperature content increased due to the improved crystalline structure. This research article focuses on the optical properties and morphologies of thin films which have been deposited. Crystalline proportions of the thin films that were deposited were determined using the Debye-Scherer formula. The outcomes were computed after taking measurements of absorbance (A), transmittance and Band Gap.

Transparent conducting Ga-doped ZnO (ZnO∶Ga) thin films with high transparency and relatively low resistivity have been successfully prepared on ZnO-buffered Polyimide (PI) by DC magnetron sputtering at room temperature. Structural, morphological, stress, optical and electrical proerties of ZnO∶Ga films are investigated. Experimental results show that all the deposited films are polycrystalline with a hexagonal structure and a preferred orientation perpendicular to the substrates along the c-axis. Sputtering pressure plays an important role on the electrical resistivity of flexible ZnO∶Ga films. When sputteting pressure increases from 2 Pa to 6 Pa, the resistivity of the deposited films initially decreases and then slightly increases. At the optimum sputtering pressure of 4 Pa, the lowest resistivity of 4.3×10-4Ω•㎝ is obtained. All the filma present a high transmittance over 90% in limit spectral range.

Abstract:
AbstractLaser-induced damage threshold (LIDT) is an important parameter used to describe the resistance of optical thin films to laser damage. The service life and cost of optical systems depend on the LIDT of the film. Thus, the precision with which the film's LIDT can be measured impacts how well the service life and cost of the system can be predicted. Therefore, it is important to find a precise approach to diagnose a film's laser-induced damage. In this paper, characteristics of the peak sound pressure of laser-induced plasma shock waves from thin films have been systematically investigated experimentally. We found that the peak sound pressure decays rapidly with propagation distance during air transmission. Based on a theoretical analysis of the relationship between the peak sound pressure and the laser damage to a film, we propose a method for diagnosing laser damage using the peak sound pressure of a thin film's shock wave. Our results show that this method can simplify implementation, which will provide a new method with which to diagnose laser damage to thin films.

Abstract:
Currently One of the most significant mass media for communication and storytelling is film. The film uses images, music, and sound effects to convey creative ideas, concepts, and emotions. Through its capability for visual portrayal, films engage, comprehend, and influence audiences. This paper entitled ‘Relevance of Teashops and Cafes as Spaces for Plot Progression in Malayalam Movies’ studies how films especially Malayalam films use the space of teashops and cafes in movies as a space of plot progression. Even though these locations are a necessary component in the production of Malayalam films, the role of teashops and cafes in the making of a film is a less-explored topic. The concept of space is crucial to the creation of films. A perfect setting is necessary for conveying all of the essence of the movie to the audience as well as the core idea of the movie. The movie makes use of space for a variety of things, including setting up sets, filming scenes, and establishing distinct places. When Malayalam movies are taken into consideration the presence of a teashop or a cafe has always been an inevitable part. The locations of teashops and cafes were given a lot of attention in movie narratives, particularly in Malayalam films. In the atmosphere of these places, significant story developments and character growth take place. The teashop settings have been a major part of setting the overall tone and portraying the beauty of the film's setting in the majority of ancient Malayalam films. The cafes in the new Malayalam film function similarly by improving the mood of the film by creating lovely settings. The audience will be drawn to these locations as a result. The study attempts to provide a comprehensive understanding of the significance of teashop and cafe scenes in Malayalam films. The study focuses on the purpose of the teashop and café environments in the development of the story and other significant events in the film's narration. The study will use a qualitative methodology. Six major Malayalam films will be the subject of the analysis. For the study, a content analysis of six films from different periods that prominently featured cafe and teashop settings was chosen.

Abstract:
This article demonstrates, on the basis of recent research in film studies and media literacy, that filmic paratexts play a significant role in contemporary children's films. It shows that paratexts effectively comment on feature films by, for example, anticipating the film's plot and characters in the opening credits, and by pursuing the film plot in the end titles. Thorough analysis of children's films reveals that paratexts stimulate the child viewer to develop a competency that might be characterized as “meta-filmic awareness”, which is the capacity to distinguish between different levels of plot, communication, or complexity within a film. In keeping with these findings, this article represents an exploration of what we might call a meta-critical approach toward children's films.

Abstract:
Transparent and conductive Ti-doped In2O3 (TIO)/Ag/Ti-doped In2O3 (TAT) multilayer films were deposited on colorless poly imide (CPI) substrates by direct current (DC) and radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering at room temperature. During deposition the thickness of both the top and bottom TIO layer was fixed at 30 nm, while the thickness of the Ag interlayer was varied, to 5, 10, and 15 nm, to enhance the optical, electrical and mechanical properties of the films. In the XRD analysis the TIO films did not show any characteristic peaks in the diffraction pattern. The 10 nm thick Ag inter layer showed some characteristic peaks of Ag (111), (200), (220) and (311), respectively, and the grain size of the Ag interlayer enlarged as Ag thickness increased. To investigate the most efficient Ag interlayer thickness, a figure of merit (FOM) based on the opto-electrical performance of the transparent conducting films was compared. The films with a 10 nm thick Ag interlayer exhibited a higher FOM of 1.71 × 10-2 Ω-1 than the other films. When the radius of the film's curvature was reduced to 1.7 mm, the TIO single layer films showed a 13 times increase in sheet resistance, while the TAT (30/10/30 nm) films showed an insignificant change in sheet resistance. From the observed results, it was concluded that the Ag interlayer in the TAT multilayer films enhanced the opto-electrical performance of the films and also acted as a potent bridge which assured the high flexibility endurance of the films.

Nanostructured montmorillonite/poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) multilayer thin films were fabricated up to 100 layers thick by stepwise alternating polyelectrolyte and clay deposition from solution. The structure and morphology of the films were characterized by x-ray diffraction, ellipsometry, atomic force microscopy, and quartz crystal microbalance ex situ and in situ measurements. The mechanical properties were tested by nanoindentation. The hardness of the multilayer thin film was 0.46 GPa. The thin film's modulus was correlated to its ordering and anisotropic structure. Both hardness and modulus of this composite film were higher than those of several other types of polymer thin films.

Abstract:
Gelatin cross-linking has recently been discovered to be a very appealing method of producing gelatin-based films. The current research looks at various commercial gelatin (type B) films to improve their physical qualities. Bunium alpinum and bunium incrassatum essential oils (EOs) in two quantities (5% and 25%) were added to the films, which showed substantial biological activity (antibacterial, antioxidant, antihemolytic, and anti-inflammatory). According to electronic scanning microscopy, the basic gelatin matrix had changed and there were multiple dense spots on the cross-linked films. The particles appear to be more bonded in an isotropic form. Infrared spectroscopy cannot provide substantial accuracy on the new characteristics and chemical interactions formed due to the complex system of both gelatin and EOs. According to the UV transmission test results, adding EOs to gelatin films improves the barrier properties against UV rays and prevents UV light transmission. Finally, the swelling water test revealed that included EOs in the film composition reduce the film's swelling.

Abstract:
This article examines the variety of risks that critical independent filmmakers have confronted to expose government abuses. It considers the threats to the documentarians and their documents, as they chronicle incidents of state surveillance while they are themselves under state surveillance. It does so by constructing an alternative production history of Laura Poitras’ (2014) documentary film Citizenfour in relation to the antecedent case of Emile de Antonio, Mary Lampson, and Haskell Wexler’s 1976 film Underground (Whitney Museum of American Art, 2016). These production histories are primarily based on the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) files that the filmmakers extracted from the US government agencies that targeted them. The article argues that these official files provide an under-explored vantage on the logistical and affective dimensions of making a dissident film. In addition, this article re-views the films the documentarians created under precarious labour conditions to investigate how state intimidation and interference perceptibly impacted these archival records. It examines how the mechanisms of censorship and filmmakers’ counteractive security measures registered significant visible traces in the films. Consequently, it argues that the troubling histories captured in both the files and the films can also trouble the authority of official historiography.

Abstract:
In this study, zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) were synthesized using three distinct zinc salts: zinc acetate, zinc chloride, and zinc nitrate. These ZnONPs were subsequently utilized in the fabrication of carrageenan-ZnONPs (Car-ZnONPs) composite films. The study assessed influence of the various ZnONPs on the morphological, water vapor barrier, color, optical, and antimicrobial properties of the Car-ZnONPs composite films. The surface morphology and UV-blocking attributes of the composite films were affected by the type of ZnONPs used, but their surface color, transparency, and chemical structure remained unaltered. The composite film's thickness and elongation at break (EB) significantly increased, while the tensile strength significantly decreased. In contrast, film’s elastic modulus (EM) and water vapor permeability coefficient (WVP) showed no significant difference. All the composite films with added ZnONPs demonstrated potent antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli O157:H7 and Listeria monocytogenes. Among the carrageenan-based composite films, Car-ZnONPsZC showed the highest antibacterial and UV-blocking properties, and its elongation at break was significantly higher than that of the pure carrageenan films. This suggests that ZnONPs composite films have the potential to be used as an active packaging film, preserve the safety of the packaged food and extend shelf life.

The nanocrystalline FeCoNbB films are made by magnetron sputtering. The magnetization saturation of the filmes increase with the film thickness. The complex permeability spectra of the samples vary with the thickness of the film as well. The relaxation frequency is much higher than that of FeCoNbB ribbons because of magnetocrystalline anisotropy. The amplitude of the real part of the permeability decreases with the rising thickness of the film. This phenomenon suggest that the random anisotropy theory is to somewhat applicable for thin films. The X-ray diffraction pattern and the shape of the hysteresis loop show the crystal grains grow with the increase of the film thickness and also result a deterioration in magnetic softness.

Abstract:
For the last few years research has been intensified in exploring and improving mechanical properties of tin oxide thin films besides the optical and electrical ones that enhances the film's functionality and broadens its application purview. The present investigation reports a comprehensive study on the effect of Mo, W, and Al doping on optoelectronic and mechanical properties of tin oxide thin films. The films exhibited an optical transparency over 350–400 nm with an average transmission of 85–98% at 550 nm and mechanical hardness spanning over 2–8 GPa, and electrically resistivity in the range 900–200 Ωm, based on the dopant used and its content. Compared to bare tin oxide film, the doped films exhibited a decrease in optical transparency with an improvement in the hardness. 10 wt.% Mo doped tin oxide film exhibited good average optical transparency 72% at 550 nm, highest elastic recovery of 70%, highest hardness 8.0 ± 0.5 GPa and reduced-modulus of 89 ± 0.5 GPa of all the films. The investigation demonstrates a simple technique of producing mechanically hard tin oxide thin films useful as transparent protective coatings.

Abstract:
Examining three fiction films (Techo y comida, Ayer no termina nunca, and Magical Girl), this essay illuminates the traces of the economic crisis in recent Spanish cinema, focusing on how it is inscribed on female-gendered bodies and subjectivities. In exploring how female pain accumulates across the boundaries of genre in these disparate films, it asks what kind of gendered subjects these films construct, and what work women's suffering is asked to perform, both for the benefit of the film's plot and the spectator's engagement. It shows how, even in cinema sympathetic to those devastated by crisis, women are cast as disposable raw material, as it were, “primed for suffering.” At the same time, it argues, these films bring to light and embody experiences that are seldom revealed, enacting an ethical gesture of potential solidarity with those devastated by multiple forms of crisis.

Os espectros Mössbauer mostraram que os filmes pictóricos das pinturas vermelhas contêm hematita e que cada tonalidade diferente apresenta uma assinatura espectral Mössbauer específica.RUPESTRIAN PAINTINGS FROM THE LETREIRO DA PEDRA RISCADA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE: Micromorphology, Chemical Composition and Ferruginous Species of the Pictorial FilmsABSTRACTIn this work, the chemical composition and ferruginous species of pictorial films of rupestrian paintings from the Letreiro da Pedra Riscada archaeological site (Domingos Mourão, Piauí, Brazil) were investigated by X-ray fluorescence and Mössbauer spectroscopy and the micromorphology was examined under stereomicroscope. Physical examinations has shown that red or yellow pictorial films appear scattered on the uneven surface of the sandstone support, usually with the accumulated paint in deeper or lesser cavities, areas in that the corresponding coloration intensifies. The chemical composition showed a high proportion of iron in the pictorial films, compared to that found in the rocky substrate, and pointed out that the mineral salts are attacking the archaeological paints and removing the iron. The Mössbauer spectra have shown that the pictorial films of the red paintings contain hematite and that each different tonality has a specific Mössbauer spectral signature. Keywords: Iron oxides; Mössbauer spectroscopy; Archaeometry

The aim of this paper is first a better understanding of DC reactive magnetron sputtering and its implications, such as the hysteresis effect and the process instability. In a second part, this article is devoted to an example of specific application: Aluminium Nitride. AlN thin films have been deposited by reactive triode sputtering. We have studied the effect of the nitrogen contents in the discharge and the RF bias voltage on the growth of AlN films on Si(100) deposited by triode sputtering. Stoichiometry and crystal orientation of AlN films have been characterized by means of Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and secondary electron microscopy. Dense and transparent AlN layers were obtained at high deposition rates. These films have a (002) orientation whatever the nitrogen content in the discharge, but the best crystallised ones are obtained at low value (10%). A linear relationship was observed between the AlN lattice parameter "c" (perpendicular to the substrate surface) and the in-plane compressive stress. Applying an RF bias to the substrate leads to a (100) texture, and films become amorphous. Moreover, the film's compressive stress increases up to a value of 8GPa before decreasing slowly as the bias voltage increases.

Abstract:
Thin films of amorphous carbon (a–C) and amorphous hydrogenated carbon (a–C:H) were prepared using magnetron sputtering of a graphite target. The chemical structures of the films were characterized using electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and Raman spectroscopy. The mass density, hardness, residual stress, optical band gap, and electrical resistivity were determined, and their relation to the film's chemical structure are discussed. It was found that the graphitic component increases with increasing sputtering power density. This is accompanied by a decrease in the electrical resistivity, optical band gap, mass density, and hardness. Increasing the hydrogen content in the sputtering gas mixture results in decreasing hardness (14 GPa to 3 GPa) and mass density, and increasing optical band gap and electrical resistivity. The variation in the physical properties and chemical structures of these films can be explained in terms of the changes in the volume of sp2-bonded clusters in the a–C films and changes in the termination of the graphitic clusters and sp3-bonded networks by hydrogen in the a–C:H films.

Abstract Transparent conducting aluminum doped tin oxide thin films were prepared by sol-gel dip coating method with different Al concentrations and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), UV–Vis spectrophotometry and photoconductivity study. The variation observed in the properties of the measured films agrees with a difference in the film's thickness, which decreases when Al concentration augments. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that all films are polycrystalline with tetragonal structure, (110) plane being the strongest diffraction peak. The crystallite size calculated by the Debye Scherrer’s formula decreases from 11.92 to 8.54 nm when Al concentration increases from 0 to 5 wt.%. AFM images showed grains uniformly distributed in the deposited films. An average transmittance greater than 80% was measured for the films and an energy gap value of about 3.9 eV was deduced from the optical analysis. Finally, the photosensitivity properties like current–voltage characteristics, I ON/I OFF ratio, growth and decay time are studied and reported. Also, we have calculated the trap depth energy using the decay portion of the rise and decay curve photocurrent.

This work is focused on the preparation and characterization of poly (vinyl alcohol)/silica gel/Nano-TiO2, and the study of titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles (from 1 to 5%) on the properties of poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/silica films. This new material was prepared by the sol-gel method using poly (vinyl alcohol) powder with Tetraethyl Orthosilicate (TEOS) as a precursor source of silica. TEOS was hydrolyzed and condensed in water and ethanol in the presence of hydrochloric acid (HCl) used as a catalyst. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), water absorption, water contact angle, ultraviolet-visible spectrometry (UV-VIS), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were used to characterize the hybrid films obtained. The PVA/SiO2/Nano-TiO2 films were successfully synthesized. Owing to the FT-IR Analysis, the chemical bonds have clearly shown that the PVA backbone is linked to the (SiO2-TiO2) network. UV-VIS tests indicated that the hybrid films' UV shielding properties were drastically enhanced as a result of the addition of TiO2. According to the TGA tests, the hybrid films are more heat tolerant than neat PVA films. The water contact angle results revealed that TiO2 nanoparticles used as a doping compound possess an important influence on the hydrophilicity of PVA/SiO2 as thin films. The film's water resistance has also been enhanced.

Abstract:
The nanoindentation technique was used to measure the hardness and Young's modulus of semiconductor and metal thin films on a Si(100) substrate under cyclic loading. The results showed that in all instances and at a constant cyclic load that the loading curves overlapped the previous unloading curve and had a small displacement after each cyclic nanoindentation. It was observed that the plastic energies of metal materials from the first loading–unloading cycle were much larger than that observed in semiconductor materials. Furthermore, the hardness and Young's modulus of the thin films decreased when the number of cyclic nanoindentations was increased. The effect of the cyclic loading on the hardness and Young's modulus of semiconductor material was much larger than that of the metal material. Young's modulus, the hardness and the contact stiffness of thin films conform to the relationship that Young's modulus was proportional to the contact stiffness and the square root of the thin film's hardness.

Constrained sintering of functional complex oxides as BLT has not been addressed. In this work we demonstrated that in opposition to isotropic constrained sintering model predictions, BLT films with density equivalent to freely sintered bulk samples were obtained after 180 min at 1500 ºC. Another unexpected observation is that films showed a larger grain size than the bulk sample sintered under the same conditions. A high degree of anisotropy was detected in grain's shape, with high aspect ratio, and in film's orientation, with grains oriented parallel to the substrate. In comparison, in freely sintered bulk sample, lower aspect ratio and lower grain orientation are observed. Stress assisted grain growth is shown to be responsible for the increased grain growth and high texturization observed in the films. Dielectric characterization was also performed in films and bulk and the electrical response correlated with the microstructural features. Both showed near-zero temperature coefficients of permittivity, revealing a dielectric response with great temperature stability, interesting for microelectronic applications.

Abstract:
Film has always been one of the most critical mediums to reflect society and culture. Korean films have always been the focus of many film-loving professionals. In the past decade or so, with the continuous development of the Korean film and television industry, last year Netflix also opened a branch directly in Korea, which has helped Korean films and television to go global and occupy a place in Asia and even the whole world; among them, the most representative and hotly debated film genre is the Korean realism film. The most representative and hotly debated film genre is the Korean realist film. Korean realist films have always been controversial, and "dare to film" and "dare to screen" have become the label of Korean realist films. The Korean realist film Parasite has attracted widespread discussion for its social satire in social sciences and complex storyline. This paper will explore the similarities and differences between the film Parasite and the Korean real society from the perspective of contemporary Korean college students by interviewing them about their views on the film Parasite and modern Korean society as a way of reacting to the relationship between Korean realist films and the real society. The film's exaggerated and overly fictionalized plot responds to the core issues of real Korean society, including social inequality, class disparity, and fierce social competition, and to some extent triggers some college students' fear and anxiety about their future entry into society; at the same time, the film's fictionality and plot extremes need to be taken into account in order to understand the relationship between its content and real Korean society.

Abstract:
This article explores the manifestations of power and resistance in films using Django Unchained (2012), directed by Quentin Tarantino, and 12 Years a Slave (2013), directed by Steve McQueen, as case studies. The research findings suggest that films are texts and terrains that are used to address class structures politically, socially, economically and culturally. Dominant classes use film to produce and reproduce ideologies of power and resistance. The films under scrutiny reflect an aspect of control, whereby conservative superior classes exercise the power to mistreat those who are viewed as ‘second-class citizens’. The argument of this article is that film images are mirrors of the ‘real’ world, where ideological domination is either achieved or resisted. The article deploys eclectic theories like semiotics, Marxism, critical discourse analysis, language interpretation and thematic analysis to analyse the selected films. It is hoped that the approach of these theories will help to investigate the manifestations of power and resistance in filmsÂ
