A presente dissertação tem como objeto de estudo o Festival de Cinema Panorama Internacional Coisa de Cinema (PICC) que acontece na cidade de Salvador tendo como foco a sua décima (2014) e décima primeira edição (2015). Busca-se através desta pesquisa investigar o papel do cinema, enquanto arte, de provocar a reflexão pública sobre as estruturas sociais, e no caso particular deste evento qual a sua capacidade de contribuir para uma concepção sui generis de cinema em um contexto amplo e de disputa associado à produção de bens simbólicos (ou culturais). Parte-se do entendimento que as estruturas sociais são arranjos padronizados que constituem o caráter normativo da sociedade bem como suas sanções legais, além de posições e papéis sociais, cuja apreensão pode se dar a partir de um momento liminar. Assim o estudo consiste na tentativa de compreender em que medida o festival ao utilizar o filme enquanto símbolo permite que os atores (realizadores) que participam desse “ritual” encontrem modos de refletir e criticar a sociedade.
The aim of this dissertation is to study the Festival Panorama Internacional Coisa de Cinema that happens in the city of Salvador focusing on its tenth (2014) and eleventh edition (2015). This research seeks to investigate the role of cinema, as an art, to provoke public reflection on social structures, and in the particular case of this event what its capacity to contribute to a sui generis conception of cinema in a broad context and dispute associated with the production of symbolic goods (or cultural). It is understood that social structures are standardized arrangements that constitute the normative character of society as well as its legal sanctions, further on as positions and social roles, whose apprehension can occur from a liminality moment. Thus, the study is the attempt to understand to what extent the festival in using the film as a symbol allows the social actors (filmmakers and producers) participating in this ”ritual”to find ways to reflect and criticize society.

The dissertation has na object to realize na approch about the International Festival of Cinema and Environmemtal Vídeo-FICA that is realize on Cidade de Goiás. The objetive is to understand what is FICA and how it has being realized since its first edition, besides verifying who are your characters and how do they act. The dissertation had as methodologic base the quality research using theoric bases from the case studies having as instruments the documental analize, the observation, the photography, and the structured and semi-structered intervies. The information were collect in four stages in the first stage. The information were obtained fron the governmet, responsable for the reavaliation of FICA. On the second stage, observations and photografies were taken by the objectve of knowing the event´s reality and the characters on it. The third stage were dedicated to interviw the visitants and the turists, and semi strutured enterviews with the were realized semi structured interviews to know what they think about that is still gowing up, and structuring it sell and an a geral form , it presents more positive points than negative points. It the environmemtal conscientization were contined, possibily the event will obtain at least sensibilize the public that participat of the culture atractions .
A presente dissertação tem como intuito realizar uma abordagem geográfica do Festival Internacional de Cinema e Vídeo Ambiental: FICA, – que acontece na Cidade de Goiás/GO, sempre na primeira semana de junho -, no sentido de entendê-lo e como o mesmo vem sendo realizado desde sua primeira edição. Perceber as relações que o envolvem, verificar quem são seus personagens e como os mesmos atuam. Esta pesquisa teve como base metodológica a pesquisa qualitativa, utilizando as bases teóricas do estudo de caso e a análise documental, tendo como instrumentos, a observação, a fotografia, as entrevistas estruturadas e semi-estruturadas. Os levantamentos dos dados foram feitos em quatro etapas: Na primeira foram feitos levantamentos dos documentos nos órgãos do governo, responsáveis pela reavaliação do FICA. Na segunda foram realizadas observações e fotografias com o objetivo de conhecer a realidade do evento e os personagens que o envolvem. A terceira foi dedicada à realização de entrevistas estruturadas junto aos visitantes e turistas que se encontravam na Cidade de Goiás e de entrevistas semi-estruturadas junto aos organizadores. E, finalmente, a quarta etapa foi toda dedicada aos moradores. Nesta etapa foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas para captar as visões dos mesmos sobre o FICA. Tais dados levaram à conclusão de que o FICA é um evento que ainda está se constituindo e se estruturando e apresenta-se cheio de intenções de seus personagens e que, apresentam pontos positivos e negativos. Acredita-se que se o trabalho de conscientização ambiental for seqüenciado, possivelmente o evento conseguirá ao menos sensibilizar aquele público que participa efetivamente de suas atrações culturais.

A sustentabilidade tornou-se pauta das discussões no Turismo. A compreensão da responsabilidade sobre essa sustentabilidade é de fundamental importância para que ela seja exercida e alcançada de forma efetiva. Nesse contexto, o Turismo Responsável busca ações práticas e viáveis através da união de setor público e privado, em acordo com os autóctones. Diante das discussões sobre responsabilidade e do papel dos eventos no turismo, o presente trabalho se propõe a analisar de que forma as dimensões do Turismo Responsável podem contribuir para o planejamento, realização e gestão da realização de eventos de forma responsável. Para essa análise é tomado como objeto de estudo o Festival Internacional de Cinema e Vídeo Ambiental (FICA) que acontece no município de Goiás/GO. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa e exploratória, utilizando-se da pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, observação entrevistas e questionários. Buscou-se analisar as possibilidades práticas responsáveis no turismo a partir do XVIII FICA. Neste evento, foi possível constatar que o mesmo se utiliza de termos relacionados a questões ambientais e sustentáveis, mas de fato não realiza ações de forma responsável. . Não considera o seu real sentido e utiliza-se do termo apenas como forma de divulgação.
The sustainability became a schedule of the discussion in Tourism. The comprehension of the responsibility about this sustainability has a fundamental importance to be practiced and reached in a real way. In this context, the Responsible Tourism search practical and viable action trough the junction of private and public section, according to the autochthonous. In front of the discussions about responsibility and of the aim of events in tourism, the present work suggests to analyze how the dimensions of the Responsible Tourism can contribute to the planning, realization and management of the realization of events in a responble way. To this analysis is collected as the aim of study the Festinval Internacional de Vídeo e Cinema Ambiental (FICA) which takes place in the county of Goiás/GO. The research characterize as qualitative and exporatory. Using the bibliographic and documental research, observation and interview, searched to analyse the practical possibilities responsible in tourism since FICA. This way it as possible to evidence the possibilities of the responsibility applied in events suggesting Responsible Events. However, we also see the use of terms related to environmental issues and sustainable in an irresponsible way. Not considering their real meaning and using them only as a form of disclosure.

Full textThis study analyzes the International Festival of Movies and Environmental Video, in special time the partner-environmental impacts, of him advindos, for the local community of the City of Goiás, headquarters of the event. Although it is understood that is it aims at him/it to discuss the maintainable development, looking for to reinforce the conscience for better relationship man/nature, it is verified to be of essential importance that the planning and accomplishment of the event, once the same brings great movement to the municipal district, demonstrate concern with the preservation of the environment, and of the cultural goods, for the which it was granted to the city the title of the humanity's cultural patrimony. Of the point of view of the environmental sustentantabilidade, the research search to identify the local development it is ruled in a maintainable tourism, being considered that the area represents great tourist attractiveness in the State, especially, when of the accomplishment of the event. The verification of the proportionate tourist phenomenon for the accomplishment of the it is oportunizou the elaboration of a diagnosis of the current situation. In that procedure they were identified administration problems, evidencing the need to evaluate the planning conduct and accomplishment of that event as well as the local involvement to configure an efficient maintainable development.
Este estudo busca analisar o Festival Internacional de Cinema e Vídeo Ambiental (FICA), especificamente os impactos sócio-ambientais dele advindos para a comunidade local da Cidade de Goiás, sede do evento. Embora se compreenda que o FICA objetive discutir o desenvolvimento sustentável, buscando reforçar a consciência para melhor relação homem/natureza, verifica-se ser de importância fundamental que o seu planejamento e realização, uma vez que o mesmo traz grande movimentação ao município, demonstre preocupação com a preservação do meio ambiente, e dos bens culturais, pelos quais se concedeu à cidade o título de patrimônio cultural da humanidade. Do ponto de vista da sustentantabilidade ambiental, a pesquisa busca identificar se o desenvolvimento local pauta-se em um turismo sustentável, considerando-se que a região representa grande atratividade turística no Estado, em especial, quando da realização do evento. A verificação do fenômeno turístico proporcionado pela realização do FICA oportunizou a elaboração de um diagnóstico da atual situação. Nesse procedimento foram identificados problemas de gestão, evidenciando a necessidade de se avaliar a conduta de planejamento e realização do Festival, bem como o envolvimento local para se configurar um desenvolvimento sustentável eficiente.

Full textCurrently Film Festivals are still one of the film exhibition places audiences choose to go for the exclusive programme and film selection. Meaning that they search more than the commercial selection of films, available at the common commercial spots of exhibition, so audiences see film festivals as unique opportunities to visualize short and or feature films, documental or fictional, than in any other way they would have access to it. An international film festival like Queer Lisboa gathers a type of audiences, in specific, and that is the reason why we decided to select it, so that we could study the characteristics and opinions, of the audiences, about this festival. We tried to equally understand the success of the oldest film festival in Lisbon. Highlighting, as well, the audience’s perspective on how relevant and corresponding to the urgencies of the LGBTQIA+ the festival is. To reach those objectives we conducted an audiences study with a survey, which was put to action in 2017 during the 21st edition of the festival, and the sample being 451 surveyed audiences. The contact with the film festival organization gave us access to the results of another survey conducted in 2011 in Queer Lisboa 15th edition. The results matched the idea of the existing queer culture, that we explore in the initial part, considering the origins of queer film and queer film festivals. So, in part, we proved that most of the surveyed audiences, in Queer Lisboa 21, are happy and satisfied considering the festival to be relevant, even by exhibiting films with a dominant focus on the homosexual theme. While the other part of conclusions drove us to the homonormative problematic found in queer film production and pointed out by the audiences. In less numerous numbers, the surveyed audiences expressed that they expected to find films that better represented non-normative people, that the rest of communities in LGBTQIA+, the ones that transgress gender and its norm, were represented, and that films would be more inclusive showing the diversity of the communities and their experiences. The main characteristics detected point to audiences, in majority, adults, educated and in qualified jobs between the ages of 31 to 40 years old. And the audiences were mostly regular, knowing other editions of festival, combined with a lot of new comers coming to the festival.

Full textThis dissertation analyses the production structures of the Portuguese documentaries within the three first editions (2002, 2004 and 2005) of Doclisboa – Festival Internacional de Cinema Documental de Lisboa (Lisbon International Documentary Cinema Festival). The study surveys and assesses the economic, sociological and technological dimension of the cinematic activity by analysing the financing systems and work relations of the technical and artistic teams. In the pursuit of this aim the professional and non-professional spheres of the respective productive activity are outlined and framed. The investigation emphasizes the artistic and working activity of the director as central element to the production structure. The adopted methodology aims at understanding the technological innovations and changes carried out within the digital domain and the consequent effect on the production field. The inherent problems between acceleration and massification of digital technology and the sustainability of the production structures of Portuguese documentary cinematography are approached. Some history moments of Portuguese documentaries are summarised giving emphasis to the documentary movement of the 90s. Its merits and difficulties are exposed, characteristics which are still present nowadays and influence the production of our time. Concerning theory, a reflection is proposed on the documentary ontology, emphasizing its creative component and representation matters in a time and implementation of digital image.

Full textThe dynamic between the offer and demand of a cultural asset - film - in the scope of a meso-event such as the Porto’s International Film Festival (Fantasporto), existing for more then 2 decades, led us to reflect on the way Fantasporto could be an interaction frame where dispositions, values and cultural identities, diverse social networks, symbolisms and ritual practices, are simultaneously juggled, which configures a specific way of bounding, complex and non-linear between the movie goers and the cinematic offer. This relationship is mirrored in the traits, multivocal, that shape the attending audiences. Getting acquainted with the Festival and it’s offering, it’s not just about retaining major or minor cultural or cinematic resources (specific cultural dispositions); by the contrary, the level of loyalty to the Festival addresses us to a schema of strong shared cultural bound, where traits like sociability, liaising with the surrounding, the holding of a symbolic power in that particular context, the corporal dialog, symbolic and ritual, reconfigure the perception model of cultural experience and the modalities of receiving cinematic goods.
