Abstract:
We have conducted the first-ever study of female and male Afghan university students about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education. Students at this new university in Afghanistan provided data on their intentions, entrepreneurial disposition, perceptions about the university role, and their beliefs about barriers and motives to entrepreneurship. On the one hand, we find significant differences between women and men in disposition and intentions, with women having lower levels of disposition and intentions. On the other hand, the two groups display remarkably similar views of the importance of numerous entrepreneurship motives and barriers. They also feel the same about the positive university support of their entrepreneurship interests. In other words, although young Afghan women and men appear to feel different about themselves and their plans, they hold relatively similar views on the reasons for entrepreneurship, the impediments to entrepreneurship, and the potential of university education and support to foster entrepreneurship in both sexes.

Abstract:
Pronunciation is very important in speaking. Most of English learners usually face some difficulties in pronouncing English words properly especially in word stress. One of the influential factors is because of first language interference. Therefore, the objective of this study was to analyze students’ stress production of two, three, four, five, and six syllable words in order to explain the possible factors that influence the Madurese male and female students in pronouncing English word and to analyze students’ stress production of syllable words in order to explain the influence of gender on students’ pronunciation. This research employed qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were 20 students of Madura Islamic University. The data were collected by using questionnaires, students’ recording and table. The result of this study shows that Madurese dialect gives significant positive influence on two syllable words stress on first syllable. It is because in Madurese dialect sound system, stress in two syllable words are frequently produced on first position. Meanwhile, male and female students were almost the same in pronouncing stress correctly on three until four syllable words. On the contrary, they put stress improperly on words that consist of five to six syllables. In this case, the students put the stress correctly and incorrectly from three until six syllable words, it does not indicate that it was influenced by Madurese local language. The possible factors affecting the students’ word stress is because of motivation, age, target language exposure, lack of pronunciation training and lack of knowledge about the rules of word stress. Last, Gender does not influence much in pronunciation moreover in word stress. In segmental feature, female students’ pronunciation consonant is better than that of male students but not in vowel. The students who pronounce correctly were the students who always train themselves. Pedagogically, this study can be the additional information to develop male and female students’ stress production.

Abstract:
Both male and female students tend to experience anxiety when learning mathematics. Mathematical anxiety can be overcome by each student depending on the student's self-efficacy. The level of mathematical anxiety and the ability of self-efficacy are assumed to have different tendencies when viewed from a gender perspective. So, this study aims to analyze mathematical anxiety and self-efficacy based on gender differences. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with comparative causal research design. The population in this study were students of Junior High School, with Cluster Sampling techniques obtained by 38 students as the research sample. The instrument used was a questionnaire. with data analysis techniques using independent sample t-test. Based on the results of the study, it has a small tendency towards mathematical anxiety between male and female students. where female students are more anxious when compared to male students. Whereas in student self-efficacy there is no difference between male and female students.

Abstract:
Students have specific learning style preferences, and these preferences may be different between male and female students. Understanding a student's learning style preference is an important consideration when designing classroom instruction. Therefore, we administered the visual, auditory, reading/writing, kinesthetic (VARK) learning preferences questionnaire to our first-year medical students; 38.8% (97 of 250 students) of the students returned the completed questionnaire. Both male (56.1%) and female (56.7%) students preferred multiple modes of information presentation, and the numbers and types of modality combinations were not significantly different between genders. Although not significantly different, the female student population tended to be more diverse than the male population, encompassing a broader range of sensory modality combinations within their preference profiles. Instructors need to be cognizant of these differences and broaden their range of presentation styles accordingly.

Abstract:
Relational reasoning plays an important role in helping students to understand mathematical concepts. The student's ability to distinguish patterns or objects is one of the understandings of mathematical concept indicators. The anomaly dimension is part of the relational reasoning that students need to be able to determine a pattern or object in mathematics. This study aims to reveal the student's relational reasoning ability of anomaly dimension in solving number pattern problems in terms of gender differences. The subjects of this study are 52 grade-8 students in one of Muhammadiyah Junior High Schools in Kartasura. We used two similar problems on number patterns to disclose the student's ability to identify the pattern deviation in solving problems. The two selected students had relatively similar in their mathematical abilities. The finding showed that female subject met the three anomaly dimension indicators: identification, interpretation, and adaptation. Conversely, male student cannot fulfill the anomaly indicators. He cannot recognize pattern deviation in the formed mathematical model. He also failed to identify a pattern different from the two problems. Although the subjects interviewed were limited, the finding provided the insightful into the differences in anomaly reasoning abilities in male and female students

Abstract:
The work is devoted to studying the influence of female students' academic performance on their functional reserves. The growth of the average score of the girls' record book is accompanied by a significant increase in the indicators of the cardiovascular system. An increase in grade point average leads to a significant increase in body weight. Improvement of the female students’ progress contributes to a slight and gradual decrease in the respiratory system. Due to the increase in the average score of the student's record book, there is a significant increase in the Robinson index and adaptive potential. The endurance coefficient value in the group of female students with "good" academic grades drops to 17.9, with "excellent" grades - increases to 20.6, and for those with "satisfactory" grades it is 19.0. The value of Index of Cardiovascular Regulation for good students decreases to 91.7%, for excellent students - increases to 92.8, and for satisfactory students it is 96.3. The level of the Robinson index for the group of excellent students increases to 105.4 (P<0.02), and for satisfactory students it is 83.9. In girls with an average grade book score of "B", the adaptive potential reached 2.25 P<0.05, with "A" - 2.42 (P<0.01), and with "C" - 2.05. Gradually falling, Skibinsky index reached a minimum value - 14.0 for female students who did excellently, and amounted to 18.1 in satisfactory students.

Abstract:
Academic buoyancy reflects the student's ability to encounter the ordinary challenges he faces in the academic context, and it positively contributes to the student's behaviors. This study aims to measure the level of academic buoyancy among university students, identify its relationship to their academic average, and determine the differences in their academic buoyancy level in terms of gender and academic discipline variables. The descriptive-analytical research design was utilized. The academic buoyancy scale was applied to (243) university students (male-female). Data were statistically analyzed using correlation coefficient, arithmetic mean, and two-way ANOVA. Results demonstrated that students have a high level of academic buoyancy, there was a significant correlative relationship between academic buoyancy and academic average, and there were no significant differences in the academic buoyancy level due to gender (male-female), academic discipline (theoretical-practical). The research recommended increasing students' academic buoyancy level to help them encounter academic pressures and challenges and to solve the problems they face in their academic lives effectively. Abstract:
In this work we present a descriptive study of the effects that the schooling level of both parents (mother and father) may cause in the levels of Math Anxiety in Spanish students from secondary education. We study the effects separately for male and female students, and native, first, and second generation of immigrants. Results show a slightly bigger influence of the mother over the father. For higher ISCED levels, native and second generation immigrants have same behavior, while for lower levels natives have less anxiety. In families where the mother has a higher ISCED level than the father, female students native and second generation immigrants have more Math Anxiety, whereas the opposite occurs in male students.

Abstract:
This study explored the transition experiences of 10 Saudi female international students when they made the decision to study and live in the United States. The transition theory provided the theoretical foundation for understanding how Saudi female sophomore students progressed through moving to a Midwestern university. Ten in-depth individual interviews followed by a focus group interview with four of the participants elicited their reflections about their transition experiences evolving over time and the coping strategies they employed to facilitate their transition. The themes that emerged from data analysis emphasized the positive experiences of Saudi females in the United States, the importance of fathers’ support, desire to go back to Saudi Arabia upon graduation, and the several resources Saudi females sought other than campus support.

Abstract:
Background and Purpose: Cyber bullying is often assumed to only occur in grades K-12, yet reports of such behaviors on college campuses and in the workplace are increasing. The U.S. Federal Government has recently called for policy development regarding cyber bullying to occur in higher education. This study explored perceptions of frequency and severity of cyber bullying among college students. Consequences of cyber bullying and the need for resources on college campuses were also explored. Methods: In 2011, a total of 18 undergraduate women participated in three focus groups, each lasting approximately 75 minutes. Results: Emergent themes revealed participants do not consider cyber bullying to be a significant issue currently, but likely will increase in prevalence among the college population. Many participants were familiar with the cyber bullying term but were unaware of its definition, nor could they provide examples. Further, the majority of participants were unaware of resources for victims of cyber bullying. Implications: Findings from this study reveal the need for educational programs geared toward college students about the meaning and consequences of cyber bullying. Further, resources for victims of cyber bullying should be made available on college campuses.
