Abstract: Geophilosophy is a lag concept in Deleuze and Guattari's work, and besides it can be applied at the last book in partnership Qu'est-ce que la Philosophie?, it is a notion that involves their main conceptual creations, circumscribing the period of Capitalisme et schizophrénie, but in dialogue with distincts notions and moments of both autors work. Under the heading of the notion, philosophy consecrates the conexion of an absolut immanence plan derivative of a social and immanent environment that constitutes the conjunction of variable relations between the territory and the earth. This way, the act of thinking doesn't gravitate in the orbit of the categories of subject and object, but concerns to a intensive and contingent environment, that, setting an ambience of external circunstances, delimits a field of conexions and borders, of multiple relations and becomings that skirts the molar and the molecular, establishing a system of change, capture and overcoding of the codes. In this route, the thought and the concepts invocate an "outside", a molecular becoming, animal and inconspicuous becomings that settle the territory and the assemblages, profiling conexions, heterogeneous and rhizomatic ramifications that follow by intensive lines, conjuring forces and movements of earth that operates by diagrammatic movements, geodey and deterritorialization. Setting up, in effect, a cartography of displacements, directions and pathways that circumscribes the map of a geography agitated by creepage, longitudes and latitudes, being these, by the way, the conditions of the absolut immanence plan of thinking, of its deterritorialization and reterritorialization

Full textThis research proposes, based on Deleuze and Guattari’s philosophy, a rhizomatic reading of the historical novel Amar-te a ti nem sei se com carícias (2004), by the Paranaense writer Wilson Bueno. By reviewing the most relevant theoretical tendencies related to the fictional genre (HUTCHEON, 1991; MENTON, 1993;ESTEVES, 2010), I criticize the didacticism found in these theories. By the mapping of the incipient criticism works of Bueno’s novel, I present a deviation related to these preview works, aiming at a concept of literature closer to the cathartic and deterritorialization function of the esthetic text. To do that, I try to define the historical novel specificity, describing it as a private manifestation of the historical social imagination (BANN, 1994) that puts into practice images from the past (ANKERSMIT, 2001). In this perspective, however, the literary writing is characterized by the way a writer disconnects these images from the past and puts his reader in touch with a non-place, making it possible, through the use of language, a hollowing out experience. To promote this reading, I make use of rhizomatic perception of the literary phenomenon, such as Deleuze and Guattari present it in Mil Platôs (2011), identifying, in the novel, lines of hard, molecular and abstract segmentarity. So, I understand the images from the past to be mobilized in the fiction as components of the novel’s hard segmentarity line, placing, as a next step, the literary resources that work with what Deleuze and Guattary named quantums of deterritorialization. But if the fiction historical meaning is affected by the molecular segmentarity line, it is in the abstract segmentarity line that, with greater intensity, it disappears and leaves room for a dive in the other of all worlds (BLANCHOT, 1997; LEVY, 2011). Thus I identify the moment of the novel’s abstract segmentarity line when everything takes place in terms of a savage and implacable present. The abstract segmentarity line makes the historical novel an experiment about the limits of a historically determined society, showing the possible fissures on the subjectivity wall from a past time, deforming History, promoting the contact with its hollowing out.

For the development of this approach, besides the very notion of aesthetics of existence, I use some concepts in the works of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari as my main search intercessors. For these authors a micropolitical analysis always lies at the crossroads between different modes of apprehension of a problem. In this sense , the field of research is situated at the crossroads of several sources, which use various orders of materials , such as official documents , historical experiences of educational practices, aesthetic analyzes (art theory), own experiences and other educators, various research approaches in education, film clips, etc. By using this material, my aim is to establish some traits, or pose some notes, which we may think about education from the idea of an aesthetics of existence.

Abstract: The object of this study are the close similarities between the literary production of Clarice Lispector and the philosophical project of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. Our aim will not be to establish points of influence but to look for the variation lines, of deviation, of fugue that permeate the construction of claricean work and that in the philosophical project of Deleuze and Guattari, are the weapons of the writer to construct what they call minor literature, or an innovative literature that contrasts with a literature considered major or standard, the canonical literature. We try to understand how those variation lines occurr in the treatment of the writing, of the bodies, of the time and of the thought in the work of Clarice Lispector composing what we call art of fugue. By getting elo ser to the music, elaricean writings inovate taking distance of the construction of a figurative or a representative art as it tums the process of writing in one of its main themes

Full textAccording to Gilles Deleuze, writing about music would be a summit of thought, the idea of superiority of the music is even asserted. Deleuze doesn’t think the relationship between music and philosophy as a comment but as a becoming. Music is not just a subject of analysis since in turn influences the style of conceptualization of the philosopher. The musical question thus revolves around two perspectives : a becoming-music of philosophy, a becoming-conceptual of music. For example, the concept of refrain refers to both a "little song" and the eternal return of Nietzsche.Becoming-music of philosophy is an artistic dimension of thought, so the writing style became a major issue. Deleuze shares with writers the creation of a foreign language in everyday language - which tends to create a « musicalisation » of words. As the writer invents a word music with a continuously variable setting of the language, the music of philosophy implies a continuous variation of the concept, including the use of metaphor. The philosophical text then refuses any interpretative approach to concentrate the affective part of the text. Such becoming is not without producing a form of ambiguity since it ultimately makes indistinguishable poetry and philosophy. How to take music fot the deleuzian concept in the field of philosophy? The same continuous variation is seen under high aesthetic ideal within the becomingconceptual of music. This second perspective corresponds to a more traditional aspect of Deleuze's thought since music is subjected to the ontological apparatus of the philosopher. Inspired by Wagner, Proust, Bergson and Boulez, Deleuze develops a metaphysic ofmusic based on two notions : the pure past and reminiscence. Because of such an idealistic conception of music aspect, Deleuze opposes Nietzsche's aesthetics to revive the romantism

Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari, autores do século XX, criaram a Esquizoanálise e estudaram várias áreas de conhecimento, dentre as quais, a Psicologia.
Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari were twentieth century authors who not only studied several knowledge areas, such as Psychology, but also founded Schizoanalysis. In order to elaborate an unconscious concept, these theoreticians discussed some topics from Psychoanalysis. This discussion concerns a great part of their works and searching for a definition of machinic unconscious. The importance of this work lies in the reconstitution of a psychoanalytic unconscious, taking advantage of those productive aspects and showing new perspectives of analysis. In this dissertation, we focused on their writings about Melanie Klein s Psychoanalysis, which possesses as one of its fundamental element the notion of part-objects. Therefore, it was necessary to investigate this statement because it is revolutionary and help us to understand the unconscious. On the other hand, Deleuze/Guattari used these objects in a different way, trying to emphasize the part-object productive aspects. In that way, this study, which has a theoretical-exploratory characteristic, had as purposes to understand and to systematize Deleuze/Guattari s thoughts in reference to the construction of Schizoanalysis unconscious. To reach this goal, we examined Klein s theory through the Schizoanalytic perspective, searching for intersections between these two epistemological fields. Moreover, we complemented Deleuze/Guattari reflections whenever it was necessary. So, as our first point of analysis we adopted the part-object dynamic in paranoid-schizoid and depressive positions in their relation to the ego integrated and desintegrated functions. As our second point, we study how the part-objects participate in the body expression... (Complete abstract, click electronic address below)

Full textThis dissertation explores the possibilities of a bionomadology: a science located between the hard sciences, or State sciences, and the nomadic sciences, concepts which are understood in the way they are developed by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari in the book A Thousand Plateaus. The threads of a bionomadology are, thus, spread out. The threads of a science that tries to undo the organizations and to unsettle the organisms. The threads of a science of metamorphoses and becomings. These threads work to interweave science with philosophy. It is there, in the point in which a nomadic science meets a philosophy of difference, that a bionomadology is developed. It is a science of life. A science of a life. The threads of this science are unfolded in a plane of immanence. A bionomadology tends to drag new things with it. It prefers to mingle what, apparently, is determined, to get mixed in a tangle of intensities. A truly living experience.

Full textThis essay examines experimental dance practices with one- and two-year-olds in preschool, both practically and theoretically, a topic which has up until now only been examined in a few studies and never before in an empirical and praxis-oriented project with the youngest children of preschool. The purpose of the study is to investigate how dance practices can be made possibleand what comes to expression in experimental dance practices with the youngest children in a preschool environment when they are made to be active participants in the content and execution of experimental dance in a preschool environment. During the three months long practice-based empirical study, the researcher experiments in participation with a group of 1-2,5-year-olds at their preschool department. This work is documented with still image and film camera by the researcher and the children. Methodologically, the study has been conducted through support and inspiration from a/r/t-ography, a practicebased and arts-based research method wherein the researcher uses her own body as an instrument of research. The analysis of the data material, which consists of films, photographs and process notes, is carried out using the concepts of immanence-philosophy, mainly through texts by Gille Deleuze and Felix Guattari and of Erin Manning, and the concept as method, as a method of analysis. The results show that when the youngest children are given the opportunity to experiment in dance together with an initiated and participating researcher, the dance practice becomes varied and dynamic during its course of events. The dance practice also shows novel expressions of form and movement, group constellations, and choices of material and duration than what is commonly described of dance when discussed in literature and research. Furthermore, this essay contributes additional knowledge to the field by showinghow the access to the philosophy of Gille Deleuze and Felix Guattari can produce new ways of doing and thinking about dance practice and the dancing body and alternative ways to arrange dance with the youngest children of the preschool. The study also offers didactical knowledge of how teachers in a preschool environment can arrange creative dance practices for the youngest children in everyday activities.

Abstract : Reassuring the potentiality of philosophy and literature, through encounters of texts by Gilles Deleuze-Félix Guattari and short stories by João Guimarães Rosa, we have considered education as a plane of immanence, as a possibility of assemblage, as experimentation. Other philosophical concepts will be observed in education: rhizome, territorialization/deterritorialization/reterritorialization, and faciality. The theoretical argument will be related to literary texts which are connected to the concepts. Literature pulses creation, it is an inviting rhythm. Art, so present in Deleuze-Guattari¿s writings, actualizes the philosophical concepts, and it repeats them. In repetition, in na experimentation-writing, full of movements, crossings, pulsations, that follows surprising paths, that causes flight and acting, that avoids an only face, we can assure the potentiality of education. It is a master¿s dissertation in Philosophy of Education that aims to make our thoughts of education more open, by interconnecting philosophy and art, and the ways their specific knowledge is intertwined. A film-experimentation used to present this dissertation is attached to the written material, as suggested by the examining board

Based on concepts and thought of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, the present research aims at outlining contemporary politics action. In this direction were interviewed six different people - different experiences, different social practices. This dissertation dialogues with art and political anthropology to compose desiring forces able to enlarge the potency to say yes to other forms of existence. The intensive experience and its expression, multiplicity and the direct act characterize politics as nomadic, disruptive and intense
The first part deals with a theory of involvement - forms of commitment and participation. The second and third parts offer an analysis of rehabilitation policies (revenu minimum d'insertion, "the minimum rehabilitation income") and intend to show the importance of users' involvement in the enforcement of these policies. These reflexions on involvement are closely associated to the questionning of the new realities of power. How do the public policies manage to obtain users' involvement? this involvement theory intends to realize a convergence of michel foucault's theory of power and gilles deleuze and felix guattari's own theory of subjectivity

Full textENGLISH ABSTRACT: This dissertation examines the idea of apocalypse through the lens of science fiction (sf) written during the current fin de siècle period. I have dated this epoch, known as the information era, as starting in 1980 with the advent of personal computing and ending in approximately 2020 when the functional limits of silicon-based digital manufacturing and production are expected to be reached. By surveying the field of contemporary sf, I identify certain trends and subgenres that relate to particular aspects of apocalyptic thought, namely, conceptions of the ‘terror of history,’ the sublimity of accelerated techno-scientific advance, the ‘affective turn’ in media-culture and posthuman philosophy. My principal method of inquiry into how the apocalypse is imagined or ‘figured’ in sf is the concept of hyperstition – a neologism (combining the words ‘hyper’ and ‘superstition’) coined by the Cybernetic Culture Research Unit (CCRU). Hyperstition describes an aesthetic response whereby cultural fictions – principally, ideas relating to apocalypse – are imagined as transmuting into material realities. I begin by scrutinizing two posthumanist works of theory-fiction (theory written in the mode of sf) by the CCRU and 0rphan Drift which anticipate immanent human extinction and imagine the inception of a new evolutionary cycle of machine-augmented evolution This sensibility is premised on the sociallydestabilising cycles of exponential growth that characterise information-era technological developments, particularly in the digital industries, as well as the accelerated human impact on the natural environment. Central to my argument is the romantic materialist philosophy of Deleuze and Guattari and their concepts of accelerationism, schizoanalysis and Bodies without Organs (BwO’s). Their ontology is constructed around the idea that exponential rates of development necessitate a new aesthetic paradigm that ventures beyond philosophies of human access. The narrative of apocalypse, approached from this perspective, can be interpreted in catastrophic or anastrophic terms; either as a permanent ending or as the beginning of something radically new. Using hyperstition, I also investigate the sf of Russell Hoban, Michael Swanwick, Brian Stableford, Charles Stross, Dan Simmons, M. John Harrison and Paul McAuley to see not only how these authors interpret the concept of cultural acceleration, but also to identify common threads. Countering the catastrophic ‘death of affect’ postulated by theorists such as Jean Baudrillard and Paul Virilio with the anastrophic rejoinder of cyberdelic information-era countercultures, I conclude by investigating the new ‘affective turn’ in contemporary media theory. The works of theoretical fiction and sf that I investigate are informed, as I demonstrate, by the Situationist techniques of psychogeography, dérive and detournement, as well as by the literary tropes of 18th and 19th century fin de siècle Gothic and dark Romantic fiction.

Full textThis research present a study on the manner of proceeding of the relations between public school and community, focusing on the agencement that works in the constitution of the different ways of relations in an educational institution of the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. Based on Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, we try to think of the relations as events, effects of meaning collectivelly agenced by heterogeneous instances that compose the real social. Our problem concerns the field of action of discourse and subjectivity , assuming the hypothesis that it is possible to conceive the relations in the institutions beyond the individual representation, the interpersonal relations and the postulation of the social reproduction. We intend to join the knowledge of the Discourse Analysis of the French trend to the discussion proposed by Deleuze and Guattary on a Philosophy of the Language and a Theory of Subjectivity. We use the cartographic resource proposed by these authors, working with the discourses produced by the interaction between school and community. To accomplish such proposal we attended school activities during a year , having interviews, observations, documents reading as well as participating in meetings and festive gatherings. In our study we found some foldings concerning the relations between school and community. These foldings show us the complexity of this relations which we have ignored when trying to understand it based on the individual mode of subjectivity which has become stronger since modern times. Our cartography recorded many foldings, some more intense like the bureaucratic folding which prevents other forces from being more powerful at school. We intend to develop a way of thinking of the realtions in the institutions, a thought of the foldings, to feed the field of the Institutional Analysis of Psychology and Education.

Full textENGLISH ABSTRACT: This study comprises a philosophical investigation into the development of a non-representational resistance against the State, with specific focus on the role of the imagination in both repression and the struggle for freedom. Using Deleuze & Guattari’s non-representasional ontology, the researcher argues that Deleuze and Guattari’s ontological system can be described as an ontological anarchy, which supplies us with tactics of resistance that strongly deviates from traditional Representational or Revolutionary models of resistance. Building on a discussion of Situationism and Hakim Bey’s T.A.Z, the argument is made that these non-representasional resistive tactics could ‘open’ the category of art up to a whole network of creative and life practices – a transformation that has the ability to free art as well as the everyday. In stead of refecting back on a supposed ‘background’ Reality, this resistance relies on the ontologically anarchic practice of reality production. The idea of the non-ordinary or peak experience, assosiated with sorcery, plays a crucial role in this production process, and the argument is made for the use the of these experiences to create a lasting peak experience, ultimately constituting a shared level of peak intensity between people that the researcher calls ‘the revolution of the imagination’. Key words: ontology, anarchy, anarchism, the State, resistance, revolution, imagination, complexity, ontology of art, poststructuralism, Representation, non-representationality, peak experience, sorcery, the everyday, Situationism, psychogeography, geophilosopy, phenomenology.
