Abstract:
The thesis deals with the creation for a numerical model of a solar collector with a phase change material as a heat storage medium. The model was implemented in Python. Using the created model, design optimization of several problems was carried out with the use of selected methods of heuristic optimization. The results of the behaviour of the created model and of design optimization were then analysed and evaluated.

Abstract:
The goal of this master’s thesis is creating a model of the attenuation of the fluid temperature fluctuations using methods described in the thesis. PCM is used to attenuation of fluctuations. This thesis is example of utilization PCM in technical practice. Numerical calculation of PCM phase change uses the method of effective heat capacity and enthalpy method. A part of this thesis also forms a theoretical basis for heat transfer described by differential equations. The final part of the thesis is dedicated to the optimization of the model and the description of the optimization methods.

Abstract:
The master s thesis deals with the design of the beamsteering antenna. Methods of the beamsteering and the final antenna design are described. This antenna operates in the ISM band with the central frequency of 5,8 GHz. The antenna is designed in the CST Studio Suite 2020. Butler matrix was designed as a feed network implemented as substrate integrated waveguide. An array of patch antennas was used for radiation.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with modelling of continuous casting of steel. This process of steel manufacturing has achieved dominant position not only in the Czech Republic but also worldwide. The solved casted bar cross-section shape is circular, because it is rarely studied in academical works nowadays. First part of thesis focuses on creating numerical model of thermal field, using finite difference method with cylindrical coordinates. This model is then employed in optimization part, which represents control problem of abrupt step change of casting speed. The main goal is to find out, whether the computation of numerical model and optimization both can be parallelized using spatial decomposition. To achieve that, Progressive Hedging Algorithm from the field of stochastic optimization has been used.

Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with experimental study of interaction based on polymer-lipid system. The main goal was to investigate interaction leading to phase separation. Three anionic polyelectrolytes were selected for this purpose: sodium hyaluronate, sodium chondroitin-6-sulfate and sodium poly(4-styrenesulfonate). The liposomes were formulated by sonication of lipid – cationic 1,2-dipalmitoyl-3-trimethylamonium-propane (chloride salt) and zwitterionic 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-phosphocholine. It was found that the phase separation occured at specific ratio of DPTAP and selected polymer. It was also explored that the strong electrostatic interaction which leads to the phase separation can be weaken by increasing the ionic strength in the sample. As we aspected the systems contain the hydrophobic domain and therefore these are able to incorporate hydrophobic substances in their structure.

Abstract:
This master thesis is focused on the theoretical description and practical implementation of software defined transmitter. The main aim of this thesis was made the prototype of software defined transmitter in FM band. Theoretical part is determined to description of basic parts of equipment and working principles to understand the basic principle of digital transmitters and define the appropriate component base for construction. Discussed are used types of A/D and D/A converters, blocks of digital signal processing and the roles, which these components performs. The second part is focused practical. Specified are suitable types of components and block diagram is proposed for following electrical connection and printed circuit board in Eagle program as a plug-in modul for developmental platform Arduino. The main point is program, which sets and controls the transmitter. Next important part is impedance match and antenna tuning, which is explain in practical part of thesis. The result is prototype of software defined transmitter compatible with Arduino Uno platform.

Abstract:
For some alloys martensitic transformation is responsible for the so-called shape memory effect and pseudoelasticity. These properties are used in a wide range of industry applications. Each of these materials is transformed to the shape it was manufactured in when heated to its critical temperature (austenite phase) no matter how seriously it was deformed at lower temperatures (martensite phase). Looking at the microstructure, one can observe significant change of crystalographic lattice depending on temperature and deformation. This the- sis focuses on modelling the evolution of microstructure during deformation for materials in the martensite phase. In this case, the creation of multiple variants of martensite is observed, divided by interfaces where a part of energy is stored. This behaviour can be described by the phase-field model. The numerical im- plementation of this model using the standard finite element method requires large computational costs. The aim of this thesis is to implement this model in MATLAB using a spectral method based on the fast Fourier transform, which is suitable for solving problems on a periodic domain. It is interesting to com- pare the computation using spectral method on a conventional PC with the computation written in FEniCS computed on a cluster. However, the...

Pajskr, Karel. "Magnetické vlastnosti Nd2RhIn8 a příbuzných tetragonálních sloučenin na bázi Nd." Master's thesis, 2016. http://www.nusl.cz/ntk/nusl-352625.

Abstract:
In this work we report on physical properties of Nd2RhIn8 and Nd2IrIn8 rare-earth intermetallic compounds from the RmTnX{2n+3m} compound family. The compounds crystallize in the P4/mmm space group. Both compounds are anti-ferromagnetic with Néel temperatures TN of 10.8 K, 12.5 K respectively and their magnetization curves show characterisic step-like transitions at low temperatures. The measured M(T) and/or M(H) magnetization curves were used to determine magnetic phase diagrams for field along the c-axis. The specific heat of Nd2IrIn8 was analyzed at temperatures TTN region the Schottky specific heat and susceptibility were compared to calculations based on the crystal field scheme in Nd2IrIn8 obtained by ab-initio methods. Abstract:
Submitted Ph.D. thesis is concerning the application and interpretation of seismic surface waves in a broad range of frequencies and scales. Using surface waves as a supplement to the methods dealing with body waves seems to be worth the effort. Surface wave interpretation can be used to obtain new information about the studied medium and simultaneously it can overcome, in some cases, the limitations of other seismic techniques. Moreover, surface waves are usually present on measured records and hence for its usage it is not necessary to modify the standard measuring procedures. One of the results of this thesis is an original algorithm for dispersive waveform calculation. The program works in an arbitrary range of frequencies and scales. The input parameter for the calculation is the dispersion curve. In this point the algorithm differs from all other approaches used so far. Algorithm is based on a summation of frequency components with shifts corresponding to the velocity dispersion and distance. The resulting waveform only contains an individual dispersive wave of the selected mode, thus being particularly suitable for testing of methodologies for dispersive wave analysis. The algorithm was implemented into the program DISECA. Furthermore, a new procedure was designed to calculate the dispersion...
