Abstract:
This study aims to describe the application through the Fairclough Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) model on insurance advertising and its effectiveness in argumentative writing learning. The research method is a mixing qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative methods are applied by using the Fairclough's CDA model that applies micro, meso, and macro dimensions. Quantitative methods are used to measure the effectiveness of Fairclough CDA modelon argumentative writing learning. The results showed the use of language, connectivity, and hegemony with future concerns caused by lifestyle and social demands, and calamity with phrases as a form of the claim that needs to be made a counterclaim. This strongly supports the argumentation content. The Mann Whitney U test shows significance value of 0,000 is ≤0.005. Thus, it can be concluded that Fairclough CDA modelapplication of learning with CDA is effective for improving learning outcomes in argumentative writing.

Penulis mengambil berita media daring tentang “Pemberitaan Menteri Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan”. Penulis mengambil data dari 3 media daring, yaitu :news.detik.com, poskota.co.id dan wartaekonomi.com. Dalam hal ini, penulis mendapat hasil penelitian bahwa Newsdetik.com dan poskota.co.id memfokuskan pemberitaan sisi negatif Luhut yang tidak mau menunjukkan Big Data Penundaan Pemilu. Sedangkan wartaekonomi.com memfokuskan berita bahwa betapa besarnya kekuatan Luhut, sehingga Menteri-menteri lain, bahkan seorang Presiden pun tidak bisa menolak perkataan Luhut. Abstract:
This article describes Fairclough’s normative critical discourse on physical insults to children with Lesti Kejora using Norman theory. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, listening method and literature study. The observation method was also applied in this study. This study also uses a note-taking approach. The survey consists of three phases: a data acquisition phase, a classification phase, and a data analysis phase. This study uses two news media, Suara.com and Herstory, based on the analysis of Fairclough's theory, bullying the child of artist Lesti Kejora. The data analysis technique used is reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The purpose of the study was to find out how the two SH media (Suara.com and Herstory.ac.id) obtained information about the physical insults of Lesti Kejora's children. The theory used in this study is a three-dimensional model from Norman Fairclough, namely the micro, mesostructural, and macrostructural dimensions. Microstructural analysis that describes the negative and positive sides of physical abuse of children with Lesti Kejora, mesostructurally how the media obtains information related to physical abuse of children. Social situations depicting children's physical appearance as monkeys are associated with children's physical humiliation.

Abstract:
The character's life is always interesting to broadcast and of course, many people are interested and constructed to produce interesting news and broadcast on the media, including online media. The research method for analyzing the construction of celebrity news is a method of discourse analysis from Fairclough. This Fairclough discourse analysis is used to see more broadly the other side of the news so that there is no perception from one party only. Through critical discourse analysis, it is possible to find findings of the ideology of a variety of media available. The results of the study show that based on Fairclough's discourse analysis, there are differences in the content of news coverage in 2 online media. Each media frames the same news with a different frame according to the idealism of the media. Keywords: Discourse analysis, terrorist news, online media.

Penelitian ini berawal dari ketertarikan peneliti untuk mengetahui apa sebenarnya makna dibalik pernyataan Edy ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deksriptif dengan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis model tiga dimensi Norman Fairclough. Fairclough memusatkan perhatian wacana pada bahasa. Fairclough menggunakan wacana menunjuk pada pemakaian bahasa sebagai praktek sosial, lebih daripada aktivitas individu atau untuk merefleksikan sesuatu. Analisis Norman Fairclough didasarkan pertanyaan besar, bagaimana menghubungkan teks yang mikro dengan konteks masyarakat yang makro. Fairclough berusaha membangun suatu model analisis wacana yang mempunyai kontribusi dalam analisis sosial dan budaya, sehingga ia mengkombinasikan tradisi analisis tekstual dengan konteks masyarakat yang lebih luas. Titik perhatian besar dari Fairclough adalah melihat bahasa sebagai praktik kekuasaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah, (1) Mendeskripsikan analisis dimensi teks dari wacana pernyataan Edy Rahmayadi, (2) Mendeksripsikan analisis dimensi kewacanaan yang tersebar dan dikonsumsi serta (3) Mendeksripsikan situasi, insitusional, dan sosial yang melatarbelakangi aspek kewacanaan yang terujar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan dengan mengumpulkan dan mempelajari data dari literatur, buku-buku serta sumber yang relevan dan mendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam dimensi teks berupa diksi, tema, serta modalitas yang telah dinarasikan. Praktik kewacanaan muncul atas sebab akibat Edy mengujarkan pernyataan ini serta praktik sosial budaya menunjukkan bahwa Edy Rahmayadi yang mempunyai jabatan ganda meskipun tidak melanggar aturan dalam undang-undang dan partai politik usungan beliau yang tidak mempunyai kepentingan insitusional dalam media Kompas TV.

Abstract:
This study aims to find out the analysis of Prominence news value discourse at the text level in the "Mayor Performance Evaluation" news. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive analysis. In collecting data, researchers conducted face-to-face interviews with Metro TV Bureau of the North Sumatra Bureau of Information. This type of research is text research. In the method, the researcher uses the Norman Fairclough Critical Discourse Analysis research method on the dimensions of text, on the elements of Representation, Relationships, and Identity, this model was chosen because Fairclough focuses the discourse on language, so that it is more focused on seeing how Metro TV Bureau of Sumbagut in reporting Performance Evaluations Mayor. The results showed that there were three elements in analyzing the text of the Mayor's Performance Evaluation based on Norman Fairclough's theory, namely Representation of the performance evaluation of the mayor, by reflecting the performance of the mayor who had not experienced changes or were realized; the relationship between journalists and news sources is very influential on the development of the mayor's performance; and Identity to see how journalists place themselves in the text and in this news, journalists position themselves as being in favor of the public.

Abstract:
The article presents an analysis of the majority and minority opinions from the Supreme Court of the United States issued on District of Columbia v. Heller in 2008. The court case addressed the meaning of the Second Amendment to the US Constitution that establishes gun rights in a famously confusing wording. The analysis applies parts of Fairclough and Fairclough’s (2011, 2012) model of analysing argumentation and also discusses intertextuality to account for how the justices construct their arguments. The analysis shows how the justices shape their arguments on the basis of their values and beliefs, presenting contradictory readings of the amendment, sources of evidence and the preferred application of the amendment.

VIVAnews.co.id merupakan ranah kekuasaan PT Lapindo Brantas dan sebagai juru bicara dalam isu yang berkembang di masyarakat. This study explains the relationship formed by VIVAnews.co.id between PT Lapindo Brantas and the community affected by mud in Sidoarjo. The theory used is Norman Fairclough Critical Discourse Analysis. News is reviewed through text, discourse practice, and sociocultural practice. From the results, it was found that VIVAnews.co.id tried to display PT Lapindo Brantas as the victim who was mostly blamed, while the people affected by the Sidoarjo mud were described as having the authority over PT Lapindo Brantas. This is due to the related media being a subsidiary of Bakrie Group, in line with PT Lapindo Brantas. VIVAnews.co.id is the domain of the power of PT Lapindo Brantas and as a spokesperson on issues developing in the community.

Project Multatuli dengan kerangka public service journalism-nya merupakan salah satu dari sekian banyak inisiasi media alternatif yang sedari awal menekankan tentang jurnalisme yang berpihak kepada kelompok-kelompok marjinal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengalisis teks reportase Project Multatuli sebagai media alternatif dengan headline "WADON WADAS MENJAGA ALAM UNTUK ANAK-CUCU" (2021) yang mengangkat konflik di Desa Wadas, Kecamatan Bener, Jawa Tengah akibat proyek tambang andesit untuk proyek Bendungan Bener. Adapun penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif menggunakan kerangka Critical Discourse Analysis Norman Fairclough dalam menganalisis teks, praktik produksi teks, dan praktik sosial budaya yang melatarbelakangi produksi teks reportase oleh Project Multatuli. Dari hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa reportase Project Multatuli memberikan penekanan terhadap kelompok-kelompok marjinal dalam konflik yang terjadi di Desa Wadas, dan produksi teks dari Project Multatuli sangat dipengaruhi oleh praktik diskursif, hingga praktik sosio-kultural utamanya wacana neo-developmentalisme Presiden Jokowi. Kata Kunci: Analisis Wacana Kritis, Norman Fairclough, Project Multatuli, Media Alternatif, Neo-developmentalisme ABSTRACT Project Multatuli with its framework of public service journalism is one of the many alternative media initiations starting from journalism that sided with marginalized groups. This study aims to analyze the reportage text of Project Multatuli as an alternative media with the title "WADON WADAS KEEPING NATURE FOR CHILDREN" (2021) which raises the conflict in Wadas Village, Central Java due to the andesite mining project for the Bener Dam project. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods using Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis framework in analyzing texts, text production practices, and socio-cultural practices that underlie the production of reportage texts by Project Multatuli. From the results of the analysis, it was found that Project Multatuli's reporting gave equal emphasis to marginal groups in the conflict that occurred in Wadas Village, and the production of texts from Project Multatuli was strongly influenced by cursive practices, to socio-cultural practices, especially President Jokowi's neo-developmentalism discourse. Este artigo discorre sobre diferentes sentidos para o uso da palavra crítica e, a partir da concepção de crítica enquanto processo de emancipação dos sujeitos (FREIRE, 2013; GIROUX, 2013) com vias ao empoderameto e às mudanças sociais (FAIRCLOUGH, 2008; CHOULIARAKI, FAIRCLOUGH, 1999), analisa práticas discursivas produzidas em uma notícia publicada no site da revista Carta Capital, em outubro de 2019. Para tanto, vale-se de fundamentos da Análise Crítica do Discurso (ACD), especificamente da Análise do Discurso Textualmente Orientada (ADTO) com base em Fairclough (2008); considerando três dimensões: 1) análise do texto jornalístico publicado; 2) análise das práticas discursivas; e, 3) análise das práticas sociais de construção dos discursos. Os resultados apontam para práticas de usurpação do lugar discursivo do trabalhador, de valorização do discurso institucional e de silenciamento das fontes e do contraditório.

Abstract:
Critical discourse analysis (AWK) is one of the views on language in discourse analysis which views powers as always involved in the formation of subjects represented in language. The AWK model used in this paper is Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis. Critical discourse analysis which generally analyzes media texts can also be done to analyze literary works including short stories. The short story analyzed by Norman Fairclough's discourse analysis is Mbah Sidiq's short story by A. Mustofa Bisri which is presented in the book Collection of Short Calligraphy Paintings. In Norman Fairclough's discourse analysis, texts, discourse practice, and sociocultural practice are examined. Through the descriptive method, finally the three aspects of Norman Fairclough's discourse analysis can be answered. In the text section, the researcher can find three basic elements in the Norman Fairclough model, namely the elements of representation, relations and identity in Mbah Sidiq's short story. While this paper will only discuss one element, namely representation. Mbah Sidiq's short story above is an Islamic short story with a Javanese cultural background. The short story displays a portrait of the life of the Javanese and Indonesian Islamic communities. In addition, Gus Mus, through his short stories, also tries to criticize the behavior and social conditions of Javanese society and Indonesian Islamic society in general, which still cannot separate religious spiritual behavior from ancestral traditions which sometimes contradict Islamic teachings. This was done because Gus Mus in his daily life is a kiai, a preacher who cares for a boarding school, which incidentally is someone who has deeply studied and mastered the Islamic sciences.

Hal inilah yang menimbulkan pergolakan di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis wacana meggunakan pendekatan kritis yaitu AWK model Fairclough dan model pendekatan sejarah Wodak. Metodologi penelitian ini berupa kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara pencatatan kemudian dianalisis dengan model AWK Fairclough dan model Wodak. Sumber data diambil dari pidato Prabowo pada berita Tempo pada tanggal 14 Mei 2019 dan 12 April 2014. Unit analisis kajian ini berupa kosa kata dan struktur tata bahasa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan representasi, relasi dan identitas yang ada di dalam wacana pidato serta adanya hubungan sejarah dari wacana pidato tersebut.Most people do not think critically when they read news in a media so that they tend to directly believe it without questioning the truth or what interest may lay beyond it. This is what causes upheal in society. The goal of this research is to analyze discourses using critical approach such as CDA model Fairclough and DHA Wodak. The methodology of research was descriptive qualitative. Data is collected using noting technique an analyzed by CDA model Fairclough and DHA Wodak. the source data was taken from Prabowo’s speeches at 14 Mei 2019 and 12 April 2014. The unit being analyzed was vocavuaries and grammar. The findings show representation, relation, and identity within the speeches and the historical relation among those speeches.

Este trabalho buscou compreender a construção discursiva de identidades xerentes em textos construídos em um espaço escolar multicultural por estudantes não índios. Com base nos pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da Análise de Discurso Crítica (ADC) (Chouliaraki & Fairclough, 1999; Fairclough, 2001; 2003) e da Lingüística Sistêmica Funcional (LSF) (Halliday, 1994; 2004), este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o papel da metafunção interpessoal tomando como instrumento de análise textual a categoria de avaliação. Os atributos e valores destinados aos xerentes revelam, em grande parte, a construção de uma identidade legitimadora que ofusca, nega, apaga as diferenças. Os textos analisados revelam, assim, a presença de uma voz hegemônica que visa assegurar que não haja diferença entre as representações, visto que “diferentes representações podem legitimar maneiras particulares de ação e ser inculcadas em modos de identifcação” (Fairclough, 2003).

O foco deste artigo é realçar as contribuições de Deleuze e Guattari (1995) sobre a linguagem, e como se articula com o legado de Canetti (2005) e as noções de palavras de ordem, discurso indireto – além dos conceitos mais conhecidos de agenciamento, imanência e a formação de saber. Além disso, explica-se a relação entre o discurso e o poder, tal como é compreendida por Fairclough (1989 e 2001) e a conexão que o poder tem com as estruturas sociais. A aproximação entre a linguagem e o poder foi contemplada por esses autores a partir de uma perspectiva diferente, enquanto Deleuze e Guattari (1995) voltavam-se para o poder imanente da linguagem, Fairclough (1989 e 2001) focou no poder existente a partir da relação entre o discurso e a estrutura social.

Neste trabalho, estudamos como, através da articulação de diferentes gêneros e discursos, discursivamente se delineia a prática da "alfabetização digital" numa política pública argentina de "inclusão digital". Especificamente, trabalhamos em um corpus de textos produzidos no âmbito do Programa Conectar Igualdad (2010-2018).Inserimos nosso trabalho na perspectiva teórica e metodológica da Análise Crítica do Discurso (CHOULIARAKI; FAIRCLOUGH, 1999; FAIRCLOUGH, 1992a, 2003), e incorporamos as contribuições da Análise Crítica de Gêneros (MOTTA-ROTH, 2011; BONINI, 2010) para estudar as maneiras pelas quais diversas características genéricas são articuladas nesses textos e para problematizar a prática social que esses gêneros recontextualizam. Os resultados sugerem que, na articulação entre o gênero o manual didático e o texto de governança (FAIRCLOUGH, 2003), se constrói uma relação hierárquica de poder/saber entre a instituição e os beneficiários da política pública, que está ancorado num maior controle sobre a esfera privada e na instrumentalização do discurso público.

Neste trabalho realizamos uma reflexão, à luz da Análise de Discurso Crítica (Chouliaraki & Fairclough, 1999; Fairclough, 2003a), sobre sentidos potencialmente ideológicos no gênero “anúncio publicitário de medicamento”. A partir da análise do texto “Na Hora H, conte conosco”, discutimos a emergência de “tecnologias discursivas”. Isto é, de manipulações estratégicas da linguagem orientadas para projetos de dominação. As conclusões apontam que certos sentidos implícitos que circulam em anúncios de medicamento podem sustentar ideologias naturalizadas, assim como instaurar anseios relacionados a saúde.

Paulo (folha.uol.com.br) en junio de 2013. Los artículos abordan una controversia con respecto a la instalación de un Centro Social en un barrio de clase media en São Paulo. Basado en la teoría y la práctica del Análisis Crítico del Discurso (Chouliaraki y Fairclough 1999, Fairclough 2003, Ramalho y Resende 2011), uso las siguientes categorías para el análisis de los textos: la representación de los actores sociales (van Leeuwen 1997), la intertextualidad (Fairclough 2003) y la metáfora (Lakoff y Johnson 1980). El análisis indica la presencia de discursos prejuiciados con respecto a la población en situación de calle y el uso estratégico de las voces articuladas.

In contemporary society, many are the genres and media used to create social bonds among people of the most different background, ages, classes and sexual orientations. In this context, the internet is occupying an ever increasing space in people’s everyday lives. This paper aims to demonstrate how language can be used to construe representations of the world that position people socially. Although the discourse of modern days seems to celebrate people’s individual life choices, overall results of the transitivity (Halliday & Matthiessen, 2004; Martin; Matthiessen & Painter 2010) and discourse analysis (Caldas-Coulthard, 1997; Chouliaraki & Fairclough, 1999, Fairclough, 1989; Fairclough & Wodak, 1999; van Dijk, 1997) show that people are actually stimulated to find partners by carrying out concrete material actions. Additionally, and maybe contradictorily, the same people are expected to entrust abstract systems (Giddens, 1991) with the responsibility of finding these partners, thus revealing that the new era has impinged significant changes on relationships of intimacy.

Literary translation are often faced with problems of equivalence, faithfulness, accuracy, and naturalness. This becomes more complex because the author can choose between many options. Therefore, the author’s choice of style has roles in representing his ideology. This study discusses literary translation by the author herself. This study aims at explaining whether the case of self-translation of the novel The Question of Red (TQOR) and Amba experienced distinction in the lexical category of style markers which led to a potential difference in the self-translator's ideology. A qualitative research method with Fairclough's critical discourse analysis approach was used to reveal the ideological representation. The data sources are an English novel, TQOR, and its Indonesian translation, Amba. The research data are nouns in source text and their translation which represent the self-translator’s ideology. The analysis followed Fairclough’s model of description, interpretation, and explanation. The results show that the ST has more nouns as the lexical style markers than the TT. In both texts, abstract nouns are used more frequently than concrete nouns which offers more affective involvement so that the readers of both texts can feel the experience of the characters rather than giving sensory perceptions to the readers. Keywords: ideological representation, style markers, nouns, self-translation AbstrakPenerjemahan karya sastra selalu dihadapkan pada permasalahan kesepadanan, kesetiaan, keakuratan, dan kealamiahan yang dapat menjadi lebih rumit karena pengarang dapat menggunakan gaya bahasa yang khusus. Penelitian ini membahas kasus penerjemahan karya sastra yang dilakukan oleh pengarangnya sendiri (swaterjemah). Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat apakah kasus swaterjemah novel The Question of Red (TQOR) dan Amba mengalami pergeseran gaya bahasa kategori leksikal yang mengarah pada potensi pergeseran ideologi pengarang-penerjemah. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis wacana kritis Fairclough digunakan untuk mengungkap ideologi pengarang-penerjemah. Sumber data berupa novel berbahasa Inggris, TQOR, dan terjemahan bahasa Indonesianya, Amba. Data penelitian adalah nomina di dalam TSu dan terjemahannya dalam TSa yang merepresentasikan persepsi ideologis pengarang-penerjemah. Analisis menggunakan model AWK Fairclough, yaitu deskripsi, interpretasi, dan eksplanasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TSu memiliki lebih banyak pemarkah gaya bahasa kategori leksikal nomina daripada TSa. Pada kedua teks, nomina abstrak lebih banyak digunakan daripada nomina konkret. Dengan demikian pengarang-penerjemah lebih menawarkan keterlibatan afektif agar pembaca turut merasakan pengalaman tokoh-tokohnya daripada memberikan persepsi indrawi. One of the phenomenal Tafsir in Indonesia written by non-Arabic commentators is Tafsir Al-Azhar by Hamka (Haji Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah). This interpretation becomes a reference for Muslims in Indonesia before other modern interpretations come. This interpretation is widely referenced by Qur’an scholars because the language is easy to digest and detailed explanation in accordance with present times. Based on a search of some literature there is no specific discussion about manhaj Tafsir Al-Azhar and its application. So this article will critically examine Hamka’s Tafsir Al-Azhar, especially from the aspect of manhaj and its application in its interpretation. Specifically this article will discuss the method of interpretation, the mechanism of interpretation, and the style of interpretation. The approach used by the writer is Norman Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis. Critical discourse analysis is one of the methods of analyzing discourse in a work by critically analyzing. Fairclough uses discourse analysis by pointing the use of language as a social practice not just an individual activity. In addition, Fairclough also created a model that brought together discourse analysis which was based on linguistics as well as on socio-political thought, or generally integrated with social change. The results of the study shows that Tafsir Al-Azhar is included in the category of non-school interpretation (non-madzhab), which is also characterized by patterns of thought and modern interpretation, especially from Tafsir Al-Manâr and Fî Zhilâl Al-Qur'ân, two books of tafsir are more patterned of adabi -ijtima’î.

This research investigates how one of the mainstream media in Indonesia frames Russia in its reportage. One of the selected cases is the 2014 Crimean Peninsula crisis. The Crimean Peninsula Crisis was a major international event that reported comprehensively by Kompas. This research will reveal Kompas’ bias in its reportage on Crimea and the factors that underlie the bias. In investigating the issue, this research uses Norman Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis. It follows Fairclough method of critical discourse analysis by using text as a discourse. It is found that as one of the mainstream media in Indonesia, Kompas reportage is not neutral as it depicts Russia through a negative frame. Analysis on semiotic factors, intertextuality, and how the media bias could be handled are the focuses of this research.

Baseando-se nos pressupostos teóricos da Análise de Discurso Crítica, doravante ADC (CHOULIARAKI & FAIRCLOUGH, 1999; FAIRCLOUGH, 2001, 2003), associada à filosofia do Realismo Crítico (BHASKAR, 1998) e dos estudos culturais (GIDDENS, 2002; HALL, 2006), o trabalho focaliza as práticas de produção escrita no contexto universitário, mais especificamente as práticas de escrita envolvendo a produção de portfólio e sua relação com a (re)construção de identidades no curso de licenciatura em Letras da Universidade de Brasília (UnB), campus Darcy Ribeiro. O trabalho, de natureza qualitativa (BAUER & GASKELL, 2011; FLICK, 2009), apresenta análise discursiva de um portfólio produzido na disciplina Prática de Textos, considerando especialmente o significado identificacional do discurso conforme propõe Fairclough (2003). A análise aponta que a produção de diferentes gêneros acadêmico-científicos para compor o portfólio (macrogênero), vinculada às práticas de reescrita, em um trabalho colaborativo com a docente, pode contribuir para ampliar a autonomia linguística e discursiva do graduando e seu fortalecimento identitário.

O artigo apresenta documentos produzidos pela Organização das Nações Unidas para a Educação, a Ciência e a Cultura (UNESCO) que evidenciam a prevalência das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação nos encaminhamentos das políticas educacionais contemporâneas contribuindo com o discurso do esvaziamento e da expropriação do trabalho docente. A interpretação do corpus documental neste trabalho está sustentada pela Análise Crítica do Discurso (ACD), formulada por Norman Fairclough (1989; 2001). Fairclough é reconhecido pela sua significativa contribuição ao estabelecer um quadro metodológico que permite investigar a relação entre o discurso e a mudança social. A teoria de Fairclough se propõe a analisar o papel da linguagem e outros elementos semióticos, tais como imagens, na reprodução das práticas sociais e das ideologias. Conclui-se que os discursos da UNESCO têm em seus princípios a tendência ao fetiche tecnológico sem, no entanto, mencionar as modalidades de ensino ou metodologias necessárias ao uso intensivo das TIC na Educação. É importante questionar que tipo de informação e de conhecimento tem sido democratizado ou socialmente compartilhado através do uso das TIC.

Esta pesquisa bibliográfica articula os conceitos de violência simbólica (BOURDIEU, 1986; 1989; 1991; 2009) e ideologia (FAIRCLOUGH, 1989; 1999a; 1999b; 2003) com a finalidade de (1) traçar aspectos de contiguidade e/ou distância entre ambas noções teóricas; (2) analisar a importância/predominância desses conceitos para a área de Estudos da(e) Lingua(gem); e (3) avaliar (res)significações das noções apresentadas no contexto de produção teórica brasileira. Para alcançar tais objetivos, realizei uma busca no Banco de Teses (CAPES), e, após determinados critérios de seleção, desenvolvi uma análise de conteúdo (BARDIN, 2011) com foco nas categorias temáticas, ou seja, nas noções conceituais de violência simbólica e ideologia. Os resultados da análise demostram que os mencionados conceitos tem contribuído para (a) repensar práticas de dominação em contextos de seleção para curso de pós-graduação; (b) refletir acerca de traços ideológicos que interpelam a constituição identitária de educadores/as; e (c) questionar a atuação social de instituições (como a mídia) na (re)produção de dominação no processo de construção identitária (sociossexual) da mulher brasileira.

Abstract:
Este trabalho versa sobre a representação social dos “irmãos” (membros) da facção criminosa, intitulada Primeiro Comando da Capital, na obra, Proibido Roubar na Quebrada ”“ Território, Hierarquia e Lei no PCC, de Karina Biondi (2018). Para tanto, adotamos o aporte teórico da Análise do Discurso Crítica (ADC) proposta por Chouliaraki e Fairclough, 1999; Fairclough, 2001 e 2003a.. O corpus da pesquisa consiste de excertos selecionados a partir do livro, utilizando como critério de análise das representações, os significados acional, representacional e identificacional presentes no texto. As categorias de análise utilizadas serão a intertextualidade, a interdiscursividade, a modalidade e a avaliação.
