Abstract:
The design features of medical electronic devices are considered. It is shown that the development of medical electronics is not an easy task and the designer must be prepared to face problems and regulations that are more strict than for household appliances, due to the fact that the failure of these devices to work properly can lead to tragic consequences, up to death. A number of difficulties that arise in the process of designing medical equipment is shown, which is presented in the form of a hierarchy of decisions. The main standards for designing devices of such type are given, among which there are IEC-60601-1-1 and IEC-60601-1-2 that deserve special attention, since compliance with their requirements is crucial for certification and release to the market of manufactured equipment. The use of a risk management matrix is proposed, which is used to provide quantitative indicators for each possible risk associated with a medical device in any mode of operation and possible malfunction.

Abstract:
A well-documented issue in healthcare is the unsatisfactory level of competence in the effective and safe use of medical devices among practicing healthcare professionals. The roots of the problem lie in the fact that medical devices are developing at a much faster rate than the requisite educational provision. As a result, undergraduate healthcare students carry out their medical device training under the supervision of practitioners-trainers who are themselves not sufficiently competent, creating a vicious circle where lack of competence breeds further incompetence. This circle can only be broken if the practitioner-trainers themselves are educated. However, owing to clinical workload the latter often cannot attend face-to-face educational programs. The problem can be resolved through online learning. This article expounds on the issue and describes an online programme by which the present author is attempting to address the problem.

Abstract:
In recent years, the piezoelectric jet and atomization devices have exhibited tremendous advantages including their simple construction, and the fact that they are discreet and portable as well as low cost. They have been widely used in cell printing, spray cooling, drug delivery, and other industry fields. First, in this paper, two different concepts of jet and atomization are defined, respectively. Secondly, based on these two concepts, the piezoelectric jet and atomization devices can be divided into two different categories: piezoelectric micro jet device and piezoelectric atomization device. According to the organizational structure, piezoelectric micro jet devices can be classified into four different models: bend mode, push mode, squeeze mode, and shear mode. In addition, their development history and structural characteristics are summarized, respectively. According to the location of applied energy, there are two kinds of piezoelectric atomization devices, i.e., the static mesh atomization device and the vibration mesh atomization device, and both their advantages and drawbacks are discussed. The research achievements are summarized in three aspects of cell printing, spray cooling, and drug delivery. Finally, the future development trends of piezoelectric jet and atomization devices are prospected and forecasted.

The paper describes the working principles for six types of separation devices mentioned in the literature, as well as two original types of separation devices devised by the author. In fact the functionality of each device presented in the paper is based on the difference between the friction coefficients – sliding friction for non-spherical particles and rolling friction for spherical ones, respectively. Due to this peculiarity, the two types of particles move along different trajectories, thus becoming separable. The paper also discusses the limit conditions ensuring the functionality of each separation device.

Abstract:
Bacterial biofilms are involved in most device-associated infections and remain a challenge for modern medicine. One major approach to addressing this problem is to prevent the formation of biofilms using novel antimicrobial materials, device surface modification or local drug delivery; however, successful preventive measures are still extremely limited. The other approach is concerned with treating biofilms that have already formed on the devices; this approach is the focus of our manuscript. Treating biofilms associated with medical devices has unique challenges due to the biofilm’s extracellular polymer substance (EPS) and the biofilm bacteria’s resistance to most conventional antimicrobial agents. The treatment is further complicated by the fact that the treatment must be suitable for applying on devices surrounded by host tissue in many cases. Nanomaterials have been extensively investigated for preventing biofilm formation on medical devices, yet their applications in treating bacterial biofilm remains to be further investigated due to the fact that treating the biofilm bacteria and destroying the EPS are much more challenging than preventing adhesion of planktonic bacteria or inhibiting their surface colonization. In this highly focused review, we examined only studies that demonstrated successful EPS destruction and biofilm bacteria killing and provided in-depth description of the nanomaterials and the biofilm eradication efficacy, followed by discussion of key issues in this topic and suggestion for future development.

In spite of the fact that risk management has developed into an essential component of the process of developing medical devices, as mandated by both domestic and international regulations and standards, there is still no all-encompassing model that describes how risk management in the development of medical devices ought to be approached, particularly in terms of the types of risks that ought to be addressed. This is due to the fact that risk management has developed into an essential component of the process, which is mandated by both domestic and international regulations and standards. The present focus of risk management in the industry of developing medical devices is on technical risks, such as product, usability, and development process hazards. This is done in compliance with the norms and laws of standards. On the other hand, non-technical risks, such as those associated with businesses and projects, are not given nearly enough consideration. This review focuses on the risk management in medical device industry.

Abstract:
This paper is about the interplay between multiple modes of valuation. The paper engages with the question of how a valuation device intersects with the working values of an organization. While the many studies of valuation practices have drawn attention to the pervasive effects of valuation devices, only a few studies have taken into account the fact that many spaces, including organizations, are already filled with practices and ideas that constitute what is valuable. Revisiting classical organization theory, this paper shows that organizations comprise multiple, more—or less—integrated modes of valuation. Empirically, the paper draws on an ethnographic study of Lean management at a children’s hospital, which is presented through analytical snapshots. The paper suggests that an organizational turn is relevant for valuation studies, as this fi rst allows an analytical expansion to include less ‘deviced’ valuations, contributes to the ongoing culture vs. device debate offering an alternative to the causal analysis of devices and effects without making the ‘ineffable culture’ what makes or breaks the causality.

Abstract:
A power system having three main subsystems such as generation, transmission and distribution. While transmitting the power from generation to end user’s utility has to face power quality issues such as voltage sag, voltage swell, harmonics, transmission losses, transients, voltage fluctuation/ flickering and many more, there are various devices and protecting system exist to improve power quality of the system such as DVR, FACT Devices (STATCOM, UPQU, UPFC, SSSC, TCSC). Problem like voltage sag and voltage swell generally affect to the end user’s equipment’s probably sensitive equipment’s like computer, electronic devices, medical devices (Patient monitors, lights, ultrasounds, electrosurgical units, anesthesia machines). To control voltage sag and voltage swell problem at one time DVR is most efficient and accurate device, by using DVR we can mitigate both the problems through one device. During voltage sag condition additional have to feed to the system and at voltage swell condition increased voltage have to eject from the system to make the system voltage at constant magnitude. To feed the voltage into the system at sag condition DVR provides the voltage of decreased magnitude with same phase angle and to eject increased voltage of system at voltage swell condition DVR provides the voltage of increased magnitude but in opposite phase angle to the system voltage. This research helps to improve voltage quality at load side specifically at end user’s side.

For decades, improvements in electrolytes and electrodes have driven the development of electrochemical energy storage devices. Generally, electrodes and electrolytes should not be developed separately due to the importance of the interaction at their interface. The energy storage ability and safety of energy storage devices are in fact determined by the arrangement of ions and electrons between the electrode and the electrolyte. In this paper, the physicochemical and electrochemical properties of lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors using ionic liquids (ILs) as an electrolyte are reviewed. Additionally, the energy storage device ILs developed over the last decade are introduced.

For the system on panel applications, we fabricated and analyzed the polycrystalline silicon (poly-Si) silicon-oxide-nitride-oxide-silicon (SONOS) memory device on different buffer layer such as oxide or nitride. The threshold voltage (VT) and transconductance (gm) are extracted from each device and the X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) measurement is carried out to interpret these characteristics. The results show the device on oxide layer has higher mobility and lower VT than on nitride layer. From the XRD spectra, it can be explained by the fact that the grain size of poly-Si on oxide layer has larger than on nitride layer. The both devices show program/erase characteristics as the potential of SOP memory devices.

Abstract:
The reliability of SiC devices remains to be a field of hectic activity because it is one of the obstacles for the ubiquitous application of SiC devices. Without decades of field experience, reliability testing, especially accelerated testing, is the only way to obtain information on reliability during the projected lifespan of the devices. For silicon devices, such tests exist and they are canonized in internationally recognized test standards. For SiC devices, these standards have to be revised and/or supplemented with tests to capture SiC specific degradation mechanisms. On the one hand, this requires a detailed knowledge about the mechanisms but on the other hand, this also requires the mission profile of the devices. In fact, it is not the mission profile of the device that determines its reliability but the mission profile of the chip. This contribution reviews the standard silicon tests useful for SiC devices and looks into additional, SiC specific tests that have been proposed but not yet been recognized as standards.

This article is devoted to the problem of improving the operation reliability of electromechanical devices and devices at electric power industry facilities. Particular attention is paid to the fact that in the Russian power system electromechanical devices and devices designed for a voltage class of 110 kV and higher are still the majority compared to microprocessor and microelectronic devices. Given their long service life and the inability to promptly replace all devices at once, improving the reliability of their operation is highly relevant. A schematic solution to the problem is developed. The scientific novelty of the proposed solution is of the fact that the redundant power supply circuit with operating current of electromechanical devices offers a consolidated use of innovative electric power storage devices, namely ionistors and classic rechargeable batteries combined according to a special circuit. This solution maximizes the operation reliability of both electromechanical devices and devices themselves, as well as their automatic control.

Abstract:
At present, the mobile device sector is experiencing significant growth. In particular, wearable devices have become a common element in society. This fact implies that users unconsciously accept the constant dynamic collection of private data about their habits and behaviours. Therefore, this work focuses on highlighting and analysing some of the main issues that forensic analysts face in this sector, such as the lack of standard procedures for analysis and the common use of private protocols for data communication. Thus, it is almost impossible for a digital forensic specialist to fully specialize in the context of wearables, such as smartwatches for sports activities. With the aim of highlighting these problems, a complete forensic analysis laboratory for such sports devices is described in this paper. We selected a smartwatch belonging to the Garmin Forerunner Series, due to its great popularity. Through an analysis, its strengths and weaknesses in terms of data protection are described. We also analyse how companies are increasingly taking personal data privacy into consideration, in order to minimize unwanted information leaks. Finally, a set of initial security recommendations for the use of these kinds of devices are provided to the reader.

Abstract:
The “beauty device” market, which enables simple skincare for those with busy lives, is growing steadily as an increasing number of people are trying to take care of their skin at home to save time and money. As opposed to dermatologists and esthetics centers, which require regular visits, the fact that their skin can be easily managed in leisure hours at home attracts consumers who value convenience. Thus, various beauty-care devices that use light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have been launched. However, in the case of skincare devices using LEDs, pressure is expected to be applied to one’s face. Therefore, there is a need to develop a design based on ergonomic measurements that can distribute the pressure evenly on the skin. This study analyzed data to create a design for certain skincare devices that can be worn as glasses, using a three-dimensional human-measurement database of South Korean women between 30 and 49 y, as they are the major consumers of such devices. Additionally, a product design was proposed after a review of preference surveys from consumer focus group interviews and through an analysis of the direction of the light beams from the source using three-dimensional scanning data.

Abstract:
The paper presents some types of improvised explosive devices (IED) and ways of placing and initiating them in domestic forensic practice. In general, handling explosive devices is very demanding and responsible and it carries many security risks. Therefore, there are specifics in crime scene investigation. The involvement of a specially trained team with knowledge of bomb squad techniques is very important, since there is always a risk of new explosion. When it comes to improvised explosive devices, crime scene investigation is more complex. Every improvised explosive device is unique since its production depends on the knowledge, imagination, experience of the perpetrator and the availability of materials. Thus, such a device can be considered more dangerous compared to military explosive devices from the point of view of bomb-squad techniques, considering that members of the police at the scene find it harder to recognize the device because they cannot find it in professional literature and catalogs. For quality and comprehensive crime scene investigation, it is very important to learn and analyze cases of planted devices, since each scene is unique. The importance of identifying the improvised explosive device is great, considering the fact that it can indicate the source of supply of the explosive substance and other parts of the device, the perpetrator's possession of specific knowledge and the manner of committing the crime. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate possible ways of initiating and placing an explosive device for its easier observation in bomb squad examination and easier crime scene investigation in case of its activation. The paper analyzes the ways in which explosive devices were made, where they were planted, the ways in which the devices were initiated and physical evidence that remained at the crime scene. The research covers the period from 2007 to 2022. The research has shown that improvisation was mainly performed in the initial part of the explosive device, as well as that high explosives were used during the observed period.

Abstract:
Flexible and transparent devices are expected to meet increasing consumer demands for upgrades in wearable devices, smart electronic and photonic applications. In this work, nano-manufacturing of a flexible and powerless silicon carbide nanowire network ultraviolet photodetector (SiCNW-network UVPD) prototype was investigated by a very cost-effective direct transfer method. Indeed, the powerless device exhibited a photo-to-dark current ratio (PDCR) of 15 with a responsivity of 5.92 mA/W at 254 nm wavelength exposure. The reliability and durability of the device was evaluated by bending tests. In fact, the PDCR of the device was still very good even after seventy-five bending cycles (~ 96 % of the rest state). In brief, our flexible, powerless SiCNW-network UVPD device with cost-effectiveness, good performance, and durability can provide feasible alternatives for new generation wearable optoelectronic products.

Abstract:
Because the first generation of pulsatile-flow devices was primarily used to bridge the sickest patients to transplantation (bridge-to-transplant therapy), the current generation of continuous-flow ventricular assist devices qualifies for destination therapy for patients with advanced heart failure who are ineligible for transplantation. The first-generation devices were associated with frequent adverse events, limited mechanical durability, and patient discomfort due device size. In contrast, second-generation continuous-flow devices are smaller, more quiet, and durable, thus resulting in less complications and significantly improved survival rates. Heart transplantation remains an option for a limited number of patients only, and this fact has also triggered the discussion about the optimal timing for device implantation. The increasing use of continuous-flow devices has resulted in new challenges, such as adverse events during long-term support, and high hospital readmission rates. In addition, there are a number of device-related complications including mechanical problems such as device thrombosis, percutaneous driveline damage, as well as conditions such as hemolysis, infection, and cerebrovascular accidents. This review provides an overview of the evolution of mechanical circulatory support systems from bridge to transplantation to destination therapy including technological advances and clinical improvements in long-term patient survival and quality of life. In addition, recent changes in device implant strategies and current trials are reviewed and discussed. A brief glimpse into the future of mechanical circulatory support therapy will summarize the innovations that may soon enter clinical practice.

Abstract:
Under the Internet of Things paradigm, the emergence and use of a wide variety of connected devices and personalized telematics services have proliferated recently. As a result, along with the penetration of these devices in our daily lives, the users’ security and privacy have been compromised due to some weaknesses in connected devices and underlying applications. This article focuses on analyzing the security and privacy of such devices to promote safe Internet use, especially by young people. First, the connected devices most used by the target group are classified, and an exhaustive analysis of the vulnerabilities that concern the user is performed. As a result, a set of differentiated security and privacy issues existing in the devices is identified. The study reveals that many of these vulnerabilities are related to the fact that device manufacturers often prioritize functionalities and services, leaving security aspects in the background. These companies even exploit the data linked to the use of these devices for various purposes, ignoring users’ privacy rights. This research aims to raise awareness of severe vulnerabilities in devices and to encourage users to use them correctly. Our results help other researchers address these issues with a more global perspective.

As smart technology is introduced into our homes, new dangers emerge that threaten our safety. New technology is usually subjected to much scrutiny, but smart home devices face even more because they are brought into the home environment, which is focused on safety and privacy. The potential for smart home technology to improve home life is hindered by the fact that potential users face difficulty in trusting and accepting smart home technology. This paper explores different types of trust that can be used to inform strategies, promote trust, reduce threats towards smart home technologies, and overcome challenges in designing these systems and different methods for designing a trustworthy and secure system. To begin designing a trustworthy product that establishes trust between users and smart home technology, manufacturers should use these findings to understand how human beings form trust with new technology.

Technology is evolving rapidly around the world, and the use of mobile devices is increasing every day. Today, everyone owns a mobile device, including young children. Parents provide and allow young children to use mobile devices for various purposes. Due to the fact of these circumstances, children begin to become comfortable with the use of mobile devices, and they are prone to excessive use. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the influence of sociodemographic factors on excessive mobile device use among young children. Sociodemographic variables, including the child’s gender, the child’s age when starting to use a mobile device, the parent’s educational level, household income, type of application used, and the purpose of giving a mobile device to the child, were selected as predictive factors. A cross-sectional survey study design with a quantitative approach was conducted. A simple random sampling technique was employed, and a total of 364 parents completed the adapted questionnaire, namely, the Problematic Mobile Phone Use Scale (PMPUS). Data were statistically analyzed using descriptive and binary logistic regression analysis. The findings revealed that gender, age of the child when starting to use mobile devices, and purpose of parents providing mobile devices significantly contributed to 77.7% of the variance to make children users with a problem. However, the parent’s educational level, household income, and type of application did not significantly contribute to the problem of mobile device use. Later, this study discusses the research implication, limitation, and recommendation for future research based on the finding.

Abstract:
In classic PKI systems, users resorted to cryptographic devices like smartcard or electronic-token to perform the required cryptographic operations, therefore all cryptographic operations will be done in a safe environment. Although a widely-accepted and highly-efficient method, along with the evolution of technology, it is also desirable to simplify user experience with the applications and at the same time to reduce costs. Thus, there is the problem of cryptographic devices and passwords needing to be retained and secret. To overcome all these impediments, we introduce the concept of remote signing, a concept that will simplify the signature generation process, and also increase security to the whole process while lowering costs for equipment. Therefore, by the fact that the signature generation process will be delegated to a remote service, the possibility of generating errors due to the client system is minimized, the need for a cryptographic device for users is eliminated. At the same time, the entire computational effort is also delegated to the remote service, which means an increased computing speed, and by the fact that the cryptographic devices that generate the signature are located at distance, there is also the possibility of physical securing and limiting unauthorized access.

Abstract:
The overestimated length of rural power lines of 0.38 kV leads to the fact that it is often not possible to fulfill both the sensitivity conditions of the protective device installed at the transformer substation and protecting the line from overloads and short circuits, and the requirements of the power supply reliability of consumers. This problem can be solved by installing in-line universal sectionalizing point equipped with an automatic load transfer function. The use of these devices allows dividing a line into sections provides the necessary sensitivity of protection for each section of the line and the possibility of supplying power to undamaged areas from a backup power source. In addition, only with the use of automated switching devices installed in power lines, it is possible to create intelligent electrical networks. When developing these devices, it is necessary to take into account the electromechanical characteristics of switching devices that are planned to be used for switching lines.

Halide perovskites are a novel class of semiconductors that have attracted great interest in recent decades due to their peculiar properties of interest for optoelectronics. In fact, their use ranges from the field of sensors and light emitters to ionizing radiation detectors. Since 2015, ionizing radiation detectors exploiting perovskite films as active media have been developed. Recently, it has also been demonstrated that such devices can be suitable for medical and diagnostic applications. This review collects most of the recent and innovative publications regarding solid-state devices for the detection of X-rays, neutrons, and protons based on perovskite thin and thick films in order to show that this type of material can be used to design a new generation of devices and sensors. Thin and thick films of halide perovskites are indeed excellent candidates for low-cost and large-area device applications, where the film morphology allows the implementation on flexible devices, which is a cutting-edge topic in the sensor sector.

Abstract:
This study analyzes fake news published on the website of the Brazilian Department of Health about COVID-19 in 2020. It argues that different forms of disinformation were constituted into reified communicative processes. The study emphasizes the emergence of a disinformation production circuit whose logic is the trivialization of informational practices manifested through fake news. The methodology applied here is of an exploratory-descriptive work with a qualitative approach and content analysis. The analyses prompted the emergence of six categories obtained a posteriori: main theme, language, elements that make up the news, rhetorical devices, devices for attributing credibility to the news, and fact-checking procedures. It can be affirmed that the news articles found are based on instrumental compositions that articulate themes related to the pandemic in a simplistic way, with language that disregards grammar norms, and resorting to the combined use of several elements, specially through text and image, and of different rhetorical devices – with the recurrent use of authorities to attribute credibility to the news, and the presence of inconsistencies in fact-checking procedures by Department of Health. Finally, it can be affirmed that the fact-checking carried out by the Brazilian Department of Health had as reference the politicization of the disease in face of the tension between science, politics and the market, which compromises the fight against this health crisis and corroborates the instrumental logic of the information circulating on the web

Nowadays, mobile devices have increased rapidly due to the fact that devices connected to the Internet become more portable and can respond to user requests remotely. With this increase, the workload of mobile devices has also increased. However, it is sometimes impossible for mobile devices with limited resources to evaluate some critical and large transactions locally on their own and hence, it may adversely affect the user experience. The MEC (Mobile Edge Computing) system, which enables these processes to be evaluated and returned to the device faster and more efficiently, is now made possible with the 5G-network technology. The MEC concept differs from the previous MCC (Mobile Cloud Computing) system. In this study, the content of the basic MEC system such as the comparison of the MEC system with the MCC, the advantages it offers to mobile devices, usage cases, offloading scenarios, effective resource allocation and mobility management are discussed. In addition, in the scope of the study, high performance studies using MEC system effectively in the literature were examined.

Abstract:
Five high-speed macrotexture measurement devices were tested on a variety of asphalt and Portland cement concrete pavement surfaces to evaluate their repeatability and their pairwise agreement. Experiments were run under three speed conditions: highway speed, varying constant speeds, and various acceleration and deceleration profiles. Data were processed and reduced per current industry standards. A novel approach for outlier removal from line laser devices was developed. The pairwise device agreement was evaluated using a limits of agreement analysis. The results demonstrate good repeatability for each of the devices tested. The agreement analysis showed that not all high-speed distance triangulation devices can be used interchangeably for all pavement surfaces. Data acquisition speed was found to be a factor in macrotexture parameter calculation for two of the five devices. The effect of speed was found to be worse on randomly textured surfaces than on transversely textured surfaces. Finally, acceleration was shown to have an effect on the parameters produced by one of the devices, giving further credence to the fact that care should be taken to gather high-quality datasets for the critical pavement characteristic of macrotexture.

Abstract Varying device stiffness on purpose can provide safety and performance improvements in interventions involving flexible minimal-invasive surgical robotic devices. For example, when flexible robotic devices are used for inserting minimal-invasive tools along curved paths into the knee joint for arthroscopy, a high device stiffness can allow precise path following where desirable. In contrast, when the minimalinvasive flexible device has reached its desired location inside the patient’s body, decoupling the surgical tool (end-effector) from the flexible robotic insertion device can be beneficial in avoiding transferring disturbances such as vibrations to the robot-patient interaction. In this paper, we investigate bending stiffness variability in dependence on the length of a flexible supply channel. Our experiments have shown that bending stiffness in fact decreases with the length of the supply channel but the highest stiffness connection is not sufficiently rigid and we plan to implement a more rigid connection to allow precise path following during insertion.

The present study aims to explore the perspectives and adaptation levels of mobile device retailers towards omnichannel and to determine the benefits offered by the approach for the customers. The study adopts a explorative method, using qualitative research methods and semi-structured interview technique. This method has been used to unravel the benefits for the customer in mobile device market in a explorative approach. In this respect, we aimed to interview representatives with a certain degree of awareness about omnichannel and mobile devices from a smart phone manufacturer based in Turkey using purposive sampling method. As a result, interviews have been made with 4 people from the department of Smart Phone, Mobile and IOT Devices Marketing and Product Manager, E-Commerce Specialist and Retail Marketing and Customer Experience Development. The fact that the interviews have been made with people selected by purposive sampling method, included only one firm and thus has excluded a significant portion of the sampling, are the limitations of the study. Results reveal that the primary benefit of mobile devices is increasing the interaction between the customers of all other markets in terms of omnichannel integration. Furthermore, various factors such as customer-oriented behavior of firms, time, space and decreasing risk offer benefits for the customers. On the other hand, the fact that omnichannel infrastructure is not still well established causes a problem: the customers cannot be perceived as a single customer in each channel. It has been observed that omnichannel infrastructure has to be improved to maximize the benefits for the customers and firms, which will in turn, provide a win-win situation. Miniaturized detection devices in the ocean generally experience problems such as short endurance and unreliable power supplies. This article aimed to develop a dynamic ocean temperature difference energy collection device to capture ocean temperature difference energy and provide objective electricity for stable detection devices. The main focus was to conduct experimental research on the effectiveness of a dynamic ocean temperature difference energy power generation device. During the research process, the fact that ammonia gas in a working fluid is easy to liquefy and vaporize was utilized. By utilizing the increase in seawater temperature during the floating process of the device, it vaporized and drove the turbine to rotate for power generation. In the structural design, multiple sets of small air chambers were creatively proposed, which could effectively control the air pressure and improve the stability of the airflow. By charging the airflow to impact the turbine, multiple sets of power generation fans were used to form a stable current. Further, the buoyancy of the device could be changed by adding phase change materials between the air chamber and the device shell, and the temperature difference between the two ends of the phase change materials could be used to change the electron density of the material to form a weak current. In this experimental study, concepts such as the structural design of multiple small gas chambers, miniaturization of energy collection devices, compensation power generation of phase change materials, and application scenarios of devices combined with Argo buoys were all proposed for the first time. The results of this experimental study indicate that the overall power generation of the device is about 2A, and its maximum output power amplitude is about 22 W. The cyclic thermal efficiency of the power generation device can be increased from +0.19% to +0.88%. The development of this thermoelectric power generation device can provide a considerable stable power supply for ocean observation devices, especially the buoy device represented by Argo, which can extend the endurance of deep-sea exploration devices.

Because IoT devices work with data that may be confidential or confidential, that data must be protected. Due to the peculiarities of platforms and the implementation of such systems, namely: first, the use of devices with limited computing characteristics, which makes it impossible to use traditional means of information protection and data transmission protocols, and secondly. systems, and provide them with sufficient computing resources due to the impossibility of laying power lines, thirdly, the lack of standards for the implementation of these devices in the existing infrastructure, there are serious threats to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information. The article considers the model of the IoT system, oneM2M standard presented by the European Institute of Communication Standards. IoT devices are designed with the necessary network connectivity, but often do not provide reliable network security. Network security is a critical factor in the deployment of IoT devices. The situation is complicated by the fact that IoT largely consists of limited devices. A limited device usually has a very limited cycle of power, memory, and processing. IoT devices are particularly vulnerable to threats because many of the current IoT devices do not support encryption. Several known encryption algorithms were selected for analysis: RSA, Vernam cipher, El Gamal scheme. After analyzing the above algorithms, a prototype of the IoT system was developed using limited devices, which provides absolute cryptographic stability. The prototype consists of a gateway in the role of a Raspberry pi 3 B + microcomputer, a limited Arduino Nano device with a connected sensor and a software implementation of the above-mentioned Vernam cipher with all the tasks.

It has been established that a sequential arc breakdown can only switch off an arc breakdown protection device (ABPD) and, accordingly, increase the safety of operation of electrical networks up to 0.4 kV in order to reduce fires caused by violation of the rules for the design and operation of electrical equipment. The proposed device for testing protection devices against arc breakdown and spark gaps allows you to control the fact of mandatory operation of the ultrasonic detector for a certain time and formulate the requirements necessary for the design of power grids.

Abstract:
THE PURPOSE. To justify the need to use an arc breakdown protection device (ABPD) in electrical networks up to 0.4 kV, in order to reduce the number of fires. To analyze the existing types of damage, compare the protection devices against various types of damage in electrical networks up to 0.4 kV. To consider the requirements for ABPD, as well as the main characteristics of protection devices and types of execution. To determine the area of application of the ABPD in electrical installations for various purposes. METHODS. To solve the problems associated with the peculiarities of the arc processes in various electrical circuits and the lack of criteria for many key parameters in terms of the requirements and applicability of the ABPD, it was proposed to conduct a series of tests for specific network parameters in order to understand whether a case can really take place in the current power system when ABPD will not work properly. RESULTS. A test bench has been developed for testing the protection devices against arc breakdown and spark gaps for the effectiveness of operation for specific network conditions, instructions for its operation are given. CONCLUSION.
