Abstract:
Infants’ visual preference for infant-directed (ID) faces over adult-directed (AD) faces was examined in two experiments that introduced controls for emotion. Infants’ eye movements were recorded as they viewed a series of side-by-side dynamic faces. When emotion was held constant, 6-month-old infants showed no preference for ID faces over AD faces, but a second group of infants looked significantly longer at AD faces conveying happy emotion over sad ID faces conveying sad emotion. Together, these findings suggest that infants’ visual preference for ID faces is mediated, at least in part, by the presence of happy emotion. The relations between happy emotion and ID faces are discussed.

Abstract:
Purpose In this study, the authors aimed to examine whether biases for infant-directed (ID) speech and faces differ between infant siblings of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) (SIBS-A) and infant siblings of typically developing children (SIBS-TD), and whether speech and face biases predict language outcomes and risk group membership. Method Thirty-six infants were tested at ages 6, 8, 12, and 18 months. Infants heard 2 ID and 2 adult-directed (AD) speech passages paired with either a checkerboard or a face. The authors assessed expressive language at 12 and 18 months and general functioning at 12 months using the Mullen Scales of Early Learning (Mullen, 1995). Results Both infant groups preferred ID to AD speech and preferred faces to checkerboards. SIBS-TD demonstrated higher expressive language at 18 months than did SIBS-A, a finding that correlated with preferences for ID speech at 12 months. Although both groups looked longer to face stimuli than to the checkerboard, the magnitude of the preference was smaller in SIBS-A and predicted expressive vocabulary at 18 months in this group. Infants' preference for faces contributed to risk-group membership in a logistic regression analysis. Conclusion Infants at heightened risk of ASD differ from typically developing infants in their preferences for ID speech and faces, which may underlie deficits in later language development and social communication.

Abstract:
Unfamiliar face matching is a difficult task. In typical experiments, viewers see isolated face pairs and have to decide whether they show the same or different people. Recent research shows that embedding faces into passports introduces a response bias, such that viewers are more likely to accept two pictures as showing the same person. Here, we investigate the cause of this bias. In a series of experiments, we vary the apparent authority of the identity documents, testing passports, driving licences, and student ID. By comparison to isolated face matching, the results show a bias towards responding same person for each document type. However, when ID information (name, date of birth, etc.) was removed from documents, the induced bias disappeared. We conclude that bias does not rely on perceived authority, but instead seems to occur only in the presence of identifying information, despite that being task irrelevant.

Abstract:
The research was conducted to improve employee discipline in having absenteeis. PT. ABC has been using the attendance system with ID Card for 10 years. When employees forget to bring their ID cards, there will be a lot of manual work which is wasteful and can reduce employee productivity. In this study, an analysis of additional jobs was carried out because employees did not carry ID card. When the employee does not carry an ID card, the employee must write down the data in the book provided, the security officer must make sure the employee writes the data correctly, then delivers the book every morning to the HR payroll staff and takes it back every afternoon and the HR payroll staff must enter employee data manually to attendance data.Based on these conditions, the company, in this case the HR and IT department and in collaboration with all related departments, changed the attendance system from using an ID Card to a system with face detection. The face is a unique and inherent part of the body for every employee. The face is declared unique because everyone's face is different from one another even though they are twins. The application of the attendance system with face detection has an effect on improving employee discipline and productivity.

Abstract:
Purpose – The UKU side effect rating scale for adults with intellectual disabilities (UKU-SERS-ID) was developed to detect side effects among patients with intellectual disabilities (ID). The purpose of this paper is to examine the reliability and face validity of the UKU-SERS-ID. Design/methodology/approach – UKU-SERS-ID comprises 35 items. In total, 22 patients with ID were included from two specialized services for adults with ID and comorbid mental illness. All patients were rated on three different occasions by three clinicians; two nurses and one medical doctor. Reliability was estimated with Cohen’s κ. A focus group discussed the face validity of the items comprising the UKU-SERS-ID. Findings – Respectively ten (nurse-nurse scores) and eight (nurse-doctor scores) items were considered difficult to score due to low prevalence of the symptoms. For the other items the reliability was acceptable. Through discussion in a focus group, with the reliability scores in mind, only one of the items of the UKU-SERS-ID was discarded. Practical implications – The authors have developed a feasible side effect instrument for clinical practice. It is easy to score and relevant regarding important side effects. Originality/value – The UKU-SERS-ID seems to be a feasible tool. Further investigations are mandatory in order to gain knowledge about distribution and phenomenology of side effects from psychotropic medication for individuals with ID.

Abstract:
Depressed mothers use less of the exaggerated prosody that is typical of infant-directed (ID) speech than do nondepressed mothers. We investigated the consequences of this reduced perceptual salience in ID speech for infant learning. Infants of nondepressed mothers readily learned that their mothers' speech signaled a face, whereas infants of depressed mothers failed to learn that their mothers' speech signaled the face. Infants of depressed mothers did, however, show strong learning in response to speech produced by an unfamiliar nondepressed mother. These outcomes indicate that the reduced perceptual salience of depressed mothers' ID speech could lead to deficient learning in otherwise competent learners.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Safety-net healthcare systems often have significant demands for specialty care due to large patient volumes. Infectious Disease (ID) e-consults have the capability to relieve some of this burden by presenting providers with an alternative to face-to-face ID referrals that also lessens financial, travel, and time constraints on patients. Such a system offers the prospect of increasing access to ID care for patients in limited resource settings. Methods We performed a retrospective review describing characteristics and outcomes of all outpatient ID e-consults at Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas, Texas from March 2018 – February 2021. Results In the study period, 725 e-consults were completed. All e-consults were answered within 72 hours per hospital policy. The most common e-consult topics were 135 (19%) tuberculosis (TB), 116 (16%) syphilis, 97 (13%) respiratory and 79 (11%) musculoskeletal (Figure 1). Nearly two-thirds of the e-consults 456 (63%) came from primary care providers (PCPs). The remainder came from specialists with the most common referring specialties being GI 55 (8%), Hematology/Oncology 36 (5%), Rheumatology 28 (4%) Neurology 27 (4%), and Dermatology 22 (3%) (Figure 2). The majority of e-consults 569 (78%) were resolved without a face-to-face visit. Figure 1. Number of E-consults over Time, by Topic Figure 2. E-consult Topics by Referring Specialty Conclusion Implementation of an outpatient ID e-consult program at a large safety-net healthcare system was an effective means of providing timely input on common ID topics, such as latent TB and interpretation of syphilis serologies, without formal clinic visits. E-consults were able to service a range of providers including PCPs and a variety of specialties, and most e-consults were completed without a clinic visit. Abstract:
Various modern security systems follow a tendency to simplify the usage of the existing biometric recognition solutions and embed them into ubiquitous portable devices. In this work, we continue the investigation and development of our method for securing identification documents. The original facial biometric template, which is extracted from the trusted frontal face image, is stored on the identification document in a secured personalized machine-readable code. Such document is protected from face photo manipulation and may be validated with an offline mobile application. We apply automatic methods of compressing the developed face descriptors to make the biometric validation system more suitable for mobile applications. As an additional contribution, we introduce several print-capture datasets that may be used for training and evaluating similar systems for mobile identification and travel documents validation.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to produce the views of parents and siblings of adults with intellectual or developmental disability (ID/DD) around the use of psychotropic medication to manage challenging behaviour (CB) where there is no co-existing mental illness. Design/methodology/approach Seven family members of six adults with ID/DD were interviewed using semi-structured interviews, over the telephone or face-to-face. The interviews were transcribed, coded and thematically analysed. Findings This paper identified that if used appropriately, psychotropic medication to manage CB may be of benefit to some people with ID/DD; but there is a need to ensure the medication is prescribed for the benefits of people with ID/DD rather than those around them. Drawing on the knowledge of family may allow for the use of alternative strategies and the reduction of medication to manage CB. There is the need for improved communication with family members, inclusive decision making, and access to information regarding the philosophy and legislation regarding medication used to manage CB in adults with ID/DD. Originality/value This paper presents views of a small cohort of family members of people with ID/DD in Queensland, Australia. Findings can be used to improve approaches taken by service providers in their interactions with people with ID/DD prescribed psychotropic medication to manage CB, and their family members.

Abstract:
Abstract Individuals with intellectual disability (ID) need support from direct support professionals (DSPs) to engage in a healthy lifestyle. However, literature shows DSPs feel insufficiently equipped to support a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, the aim of this study is to develop a theory-based program for DSPs to support physical activity and healthy nutrition for people with moderate to profound levels of ID, and to design its evaluation. The Intervention Mapping Protocol (IM) was followed to develop a theory-based program for DSPs. The program evaluation consists of process and feasibility evaluations. This study provided a theory-based program consisting of a training and education section with online and face-to-face components to support DSPs in promoting health for people with ID.

Inclusive education in Ghana is in its infancy. Due to the wide array of challenges that may be encountered in the effort to implement inclusive education, programs are needed that involve a cross-section of professionals including social workers. In this study, in-depth face-to-face interviews were used to collect data from 15 educators and social workers about the challenges associated with inclusive education for children with intellectual disability (ID) in Ghana and the implications that these challenges have for social work practice in the education system. Some key roles that social workers can play in inclusive education in Ghana include intensifying public awareness to curb misconceptions about IDs, and serving as liaisons between the school, home, and community. A system is needed that fosters effective collaboration between educators and social workers to enhance educational outcomes for children with ID in inclusive school settings in Ghana.

Abstract:
Machine learning is a method of data analysis that automates analytical model building. It is a branch of artificial intelligence based on the idea that systems can learn from data, identify patterns and make decisions with minimal human intervention. In human interactions, the face is the most important factor as it contains important information about a person or individual. All humans have the ability to recognise individuals from their faces. Now following system is based on face recognition to maintain the attendance record of students. The daily attendance of students is recorded subject wise which is stored already by the administrator. As the time for corresponding subject arrives the system automatically starts taking snaps and then apply face detection and recognition technique to the given image and the recognize students are marked as present and their attendance update with corresponding time and subject id. We have used deep learning techniques to develop this system, histogram of oriented gradient method is used to detect faces in images and deep learning method is used to compute and compare facial feature of students to recognize them.

Abstract As life expectancy of people with intellectual disability (ID) has increased, there has been a concurrent increase in age-related illnesses and conditions similar to that of the general population. These circumstances result in people with ID dying from typical life-ending conditions, and thus, they require similar end-of-life services such as palliative and hospice care. Although there are notable barriers to hospice for all, people with ID face additional challenges in accessing the benefits of these services. This article presents a review of the literature on these issues, underscoring the multiple challenges and the importance of a more collaborative approach between hospice and palliative care workers with people with ID, their families, and other important stakeholders.

We based on the literature has seen numerous clinical reports highlighting the benefits of autologous fat transfer for face from that areas, fat was collected from the abdomen (most frequently used donor site), hips, outer thighs (saddle-bags), internal knee or thigh, with quantitative volume measurements evaluating the amount of postoperative volume change. Results: Twenty eight patients were included in the study. The mean follow-up time was 18 months. The mean amount of autologous fat injected into each face region was 10-70 mL. Hypercorrection was performed after 3 months and it was 20-50% of the initial injected fat volume. Overall, the mean absolute volume augmentation measured at their last (after 6 month) post operative visit was 10-25%. There was variability between patients in the volume amount and percentage that remained. The resorption process was observed in two patients after 6 month. We made correction with hyaluronic acid and silicone implants. Conclusion: To our knowledge, this study is the first clinical quantification in our practise of autologous fat transfer and/or grafting in the literature that provides definitive evidence on the amount as well as the resultant longevity in the face. Autologous fat transfer to the face has definite long-term volume augmentation results. On average, approximately 25-35% of the injected volume remains at 18 months. However, some variability exists in the percentage of volume that remains that may require a touch-up procedure.

Abstract:
Abstract With advances in technology, photo booths equipped with automatic capturing systems have gradually replaced the identification (ID) photo service provided by photography studios, thereby enabling consumers to save a considerable amount of time and money. Common automatic capturing systems employ text and voice instructions to guide users in capturing their ID photos; however, the capturing results may not conform to ID photo specifications. To address this issue, this study proposes an ID photo capturing algorithm that can automatically detect facial contours and adjust the size of captured images. The authors adopted a deep learning method (You Only Look Once) to detect the face and applied a semi-automatic annotation technique of facial landmarks to find the lip and chin regions from the facial region. In the experiments, subjects were seated at various distances and heights for testing the performance of the proposed algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively and accurately capture ID photos that satisfy the required specifications.

IntroductionStudies have shown that people with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) develop mental illness at rates similar to or higher than general population1.ObjectivesThere is no previous study on mental health of adults with ID in Turkey.AimThe purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence and associated factors of mental disorders in adults with ID in Turkey.Methods151 participants with ID aged 18 and over were recruited from care homes, rehabilitation centers and from people attending to psychiatry outpatients for the first time. Every participant underwent face to face assessment by a psychiatrist supported by an informant and previous notes. A structured purpose designed socio-demographic form was used. Diagnoses were drawn according to DSM-5. Point prevalence of disorders was calculated and associated factors were investigated.Results63.5% of the participants met criteria for one psychiatric disorder, 21% had more than one disorder. The most common disorders were: challenging behavior (34%), autism spectrum disorders (%13.9), and anxiety disorders (13.9%) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (10.6%). Living in a care home and being young were associated with mental ill health (P < 0.05) [1].ConclusionThis study demonstrates high psychiatric comorbidity in adults with ID. Young age and care homes were the associated factors in this sample. These results are important to raise awareness of professionals and service providers about mental health of adults with ID.Disclosure of interestThis project was funded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) with a project number of BİDEB 115C015. Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyse and understand the contemporary management of electronic identification (e-ID) development to: identify and formulate challenges and reflect upon the use of a combination of perspectives. To generate knowledge on this issue, we investigate e-ID development in Sweden from: an e-government systems development lifecycle perspective and a project challenge and critical success factor (CSF) perspective. Design/methodology/approach This is a qualitative case study covering an analysis of the three years in a larger project focusing e-ID in a public e-service setting. Empirical sources have been face-to-face interviews; official documents and different kind of forums for presentations and discussions in, for example, hearings arranged by authorities; meetings with the coordinating agency, and practitioners’ networks events. Findings This study concludes that there are significant challenges involved in managing e-ID development because of its contextual and integrated character. Challenges involve the organization and management of the program and can be traced back to e-government, general project management literature and theory on path dependency. Based on this study, we can question, e.g. governance models, centralization and a narrow focus on the technical artefact. Our study is also an illustration of a possible way to analyse e-ID within an e-government initiative. Research limitations/implications The present study shows that an e-ID can be considered as a back office-enabler for launching e-services, but also highlights the need for management of the artefact as an integral part of e-service development because it is intertwined with the use of e-services from a user perspective. This aspect together with the insights related to challenges and success factors including path dependency provides implications for future practice of e-ID management and development in particular and information systems artefact development in general. Originality/value This paper addresses challenges related to the development of e-ID in a public e-service setting. Few studies have theoretically combined a lifecycle perspective on challenges and success factors related to e-ID development while also focusing different dimensions of path dependency as an example of a challenging area within a program frame. Studying e-ID as a contemporary phenomenon from a contextual perspective in line with sociomaterial thinking – with a focus on the interplay between technology and people –can also help us to understand and discuss artefact development in general.

Abstract:
The identification of a person is a natural way to gain access to information or places. A face image is an essential element of visual validation. In this paper, we present the Card3DFace application, which captures a single-shot image of a person’s face. After reconstructing the 3D model of the head, the application generates several images from different perspectives, which, when printed on a card with a layer of lenticular lenses, produce a 3D visualization effect of the face. The image acquisition is achieved with a regular consumer 3D camera, either using plenoptic, stereo or time-of-flight technologies. This procedure aims to assist and improve the human visual recognition of ID cards and travel documents through an affordable and fast process while simultaneously increasing their security level. The whole system pipeline is analyzed and detailed in this paper. The results of the experiments performed with polycarbonate ID cards show that this end-to-end system is able to produce cards with realistic 3D visualization effects for humans.

Abstract:
This paper reports the findings of three studies within a program of research designed to better understand the factors contributing to the academic achievement of students in online courses and the contributions of interaction to online learning. The first study compared the academic achievement of students in the online and face-to-face (F2F) sections of multiple courses. In the second study, an online survey was used to obtain student perceptions of course satisfaction, learning, and communication. These factors were then related, using binary logistic regression analysis, to the amount of interaction that occurred in the students’ respective online courses; information from the myCourses course management system was used to quantify the amount of interaction that occurred in online courses. In the final study, both datasets were used to examine the academic achievement of students in online courses based upon the amount of interaction that had actually occurred. Whenever possible, a subgroup of deaf and hard-of-hearing students was included in the study to increase our understanding of the role that communication plays in the teaching-learning process. Our findings indicate that students enrolled in online courses, especially those designed with high levels of online interaction, receive higher grades and report greater learning than students in comparable F2F courses. In addition, online courses appear to provide deaf and hard-of-hearing students with special benefits in terms of academic achievement through online discussion. Overall, the studies illuminate how the quantity of interaction in online discussions relates to important success factors. Students in online courses with more interaction outperformed students in online courses with less interaction.<br /><br /><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /><input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" /><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /><input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" /><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /><input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" /><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /><input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" />

Abstract:
The World Health Organization (WHO) has called for the development and adoption of national plans or strategies to guide public policy and set goals for services, supports, and research related to dementia. It called for distinct populations to be included within national plans, including adults with intellectual disability (ID). Inclusion of this group is important as having Down’s syndrome is a significant risk factor for early-onset dementia. Adults with other ID may have specific needs for dementia-related care that, if unmet, can lead to diminished quality of old age. An International Summit on Intellectual Disability and Dementia, held in Scotland, reviewed the inclusion of ID in national plans and recommended that inclusion goes beyond just description and relevance of ID. Reviews of national plans and reports on dementia show minimal consideration of ID and the challenges that carers face. The Summit recommended that persons with ID, as well as family carers, should be included in consultation processes, and greater advocacy is required from national organizations on behalf of families, with need for an infrastructure in health and social care that supports quality care for dementia.

Data security is one of many problems that we face in IoT implementation. One of the problems with data security is we cannot assure that the data we received in the server-side is truly our data that we send from client-side or sensor-side. With that problems, comes some solutions like encryption and decryption method or some basic authentication planted on the server-side. In this research, we propose some encryption and decryption method that can be easily implemented on both server and sensor-side and then we analyze the complexity of its algorithm. This research aims to create some authentication process for the data that server-side receive from the sensor-side by creating encrypted ID consisting of 6 digits of alphanumeric and useful for identification process in system, so the server can recognize the data and validate it.

Abstract:
The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic affect all groups in society. People with intellectual disability (ID) are especially vulnerable to the physical, mental and social effects of the pandemic. Cognitive impairments can limit understanding of information to protect them relying on carers to be vigilant on their behalf during quarantine. Restrictions on usual activities are likely to induce mental stress especially among those who are autistic leading to an escalation in challenging behaviours, risk of placement breakdown and increased the use of psychotropic medication. People with ID are vulnerable to exploitation by others where the usual community supports no longer function to protect them. In future pandemics, it is important that lessons are learned from the impacts COVID-19 have on people with ID. Collecting the evidence through a rigorous approach should help to empower people with ID and their carers to face future outbreaks of infectious diseases.

Abstract:
Nowadays, a large network of cameras is predominantly used in public places which provide enormous video data. These data are monitored manually and may be utilized only when the need arises to ascertain the facts. Automating the system can improve the quality of surveillance and be useful for high-level surveillance tasks like person identification, suspicious activity detection or undesirable event prediction for timely alerts. In this paper, we proposed a model that can Re-identify a person from a single camera tracking environment. This system will automatically extract face features of the person and generate the Unique Id for each person when it enters for the first time in the monitored area. Its face features are stored in the database which will help to Re-identify the person whenever the same person appears again. The challenges faced by the system are occlusion, pose, light conditions, and face orientation. The proposed system highlights, effect of different deep neural networks for Person Re-identification and compares based on the accuracy, GPU usage, Speed, Number of faces detected by overcoming the challenges like illumination and occlusion. The advantage of the system is it doesn′t require the database of people in advance for recognition and it will be helpful for criminal identification for crime control and prevention.

Abstract There is increasing emphasis on needs-led service provision for people with intellectual disability (ID). This study outlines the statistical cluster analysis of clinical data from 1,692 individuals accessing secondary care ID services in the United Kingdom (U.K.) Using objective needs assessment data from a newly developed ID assessment tool, six clusters were identified. These had clinical face validity and were validated using six concurrently (but independently) rated tools. In keeping with previous studies, the clusters varied in terms of overall level of need as well as specific clinical features (autism spectrum disorder, mental health problems, challenging behaviors and physical health conditions). More work is now needed to further develop these clusters and explore their utility for planning, commissioning and optimizing needs-led services.

Conventional 2D face recognition methods often struggle when a subject's head is turned even slightly to the side. In this study, a face recognition system based on 3D head modeling that is able to tolerate facial rotation angles was constructed by leveraging the Open source graphic library (OpenGL) framework. To minimize the extensive angle searching time that often occurs in conventional 3D modeling, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) was used to determine the correct facial angle in 3D. This reduced the angle computation time to 6 seconds, which is significantly faster than other methods. Experimental results showed that successful ID recognition can be achieved with a high recognition rate of 90%.

Purpose Assessment of executive functioning is an important element of a comprehensive assessment of intellectual abilities. Few assessments available are accessible for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) and none have population-specific norms. This paper aims to describe the adaptation of the behavioural assessment of dysexecutive syndrome (BADS). Design/methodology/approach Adaptations were made to the BADS tests to create the BADS – intellectual disabilities (BADS-ID). Data from three doctoral dissertations were combined to explore the utility, reliability, validity and component structure of the BADS-ID. Properties of the BADS-ID were compared with the Cambridge Executive Functioning Assessment (CEFA). Findings The BADS-ID is accessible to IQ range 50–70 and has a two-component structure. It has good inter-rater reliability, but poor internal consistency. It has a good face and content validity but evidence for concurrent and discriminative validity is weak. All properties are comparable to or better than the CEFA. Research limitations/implications Further research is needed to improve reliability and validity. The development of an accessible test battery with known reliability and validity for individuals with ID should facilitate research into executive functioning in this population. There is the potential to develop population-specific norms from the data. Practical implications An accessible test battery for individuals with ID is helpful in clinical situations. Abstract:
This paper presents the first modern account of Torwood’s artefact assemblage and the most accurate survey of the site to date. These are combined with the results of a small-scale excavation on a newly discovered outer rampart and the publication for the first time of a reused concentric ring-marked stone and a carved face. In turn, these are combined with the results of a broader reassessment of the late prehistoric settlement in the Forth Valley. This review reveals a far greater range and variety of potentially contemporary architectural forms than previously recognised, which is argued to have arisen from conspicuous consumption in the context of local competition, which in turn was aided by the increased resources resulting from the proximity of the Roman Empire. It is further argued that Torwood may be pre-Roman in origin. The context of the concentric ring-marked stone may hint at contemporary Iron Age ritual practice, while the large proportion of local sites associated with both destruction by fire and the presence of large artefact assemblages suggests an underlying common practice regarding the closure of a site after its active use, which may share features with the destruction of souterrains in Fife and Angus. Abstract:
The demands on academic staff in all sectors to adopt best ODL practices to create effective and efficient models of learning in the face of increasing external pressures show no signs of abating. The massification of higher education, diversified access, and pressures to meet institutional visions and research objectives demand of teaching staff an increasingly public design process subject to peer review in numerous forms. Expectations of systematized pedagogical planners and embedded templates of learning within the institutional virtual learning environments (VLEs) have, so far, failed to deliver the institutional efficiencies anticipated. In response, a new model of learning design is proposed with a practical, accessible, and freely available toolkit that embodies and embeds pedagogical theories and practices. The student-owned learning-engagement (SOLE) model aims to support professional development within practice, constructive alignment, and holistic visualisations, as well as enable the sharing of learning design processes with the learners themselves.<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /><input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" /><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /><input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" /><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /><input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" /><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /><input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" /><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /><input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" />
