Abstract:
Differentiation of the Choquet integral of a nonnegative measurable function with respect to a fuzzy measure on fuzzy measure space is proposed and it is applied to the capital investment decision making problem by Kaino and Hirota. In this paper, differentiation of the Choquet integral of a nonnegative measurable function is extended to differentiation of the Sipos Choquet integral of a measurable function and its properties will be discussed. First, the real interval limited Schmeidler Choquet integral and Sipos Choquet integral are defined for preparation, then the upper differential coefficient, the lower differential coefficient, the differential coefficient, and the derived function of the Choquet integral along the range of an integrated function are defined by the limitation process of the interval limited Choquet integral. Two examples are given, where the measurable functions are either a simple function or a triangular function. Basic properties of differentiation about swn and multiple with constant, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are shown. Then, the Choquet integral is applied to long-term debt ratings model, where the input is qualitative and quantitative data of corporations, and the output is Moody’s long-term debt ratings. The fuzzy measure, which is given as the importance of each qualitative and quantitative data, is derived from a neural net method. Moreover, differentiation of the Choquet integral is applied to the long-term debt ratings, where this differentiation indicates how much evaluation of each specification influence to the rating of the corporation.

Abstract:
Software development comprises of processes which can be controlled, managed and improved by software measurement. The efficiency of software measurement is determined by software quality, which assesses the position of any software company in the international economic scenario. This calls for a need to develop quality models which would quantify the various quality parameters. However, these quality parameters are highly vague, by nature, and cannot be easily quantized nor measured. The Boehm’s Model, McCall’s Model, and ISO/IEC 9126 Model are existing quality models made by software quality researchers in this regard. This paper uses the ISO/IEC 9126 quality model as the baseline model, with enhanced criteria, to give a holistic approach to software quality. A methodology is proposed in this paper for comparing different software solutions based on the SRS to a common problem. As software product quality is highly unpredictable, and considering the interaction between the quality criteria, Choquet Integral is used to efficiently compare the set of software products.

Abstract:
This paper addresses fuzzy evaluation issues as applied in a decision–making procedure of process planning. General framework of fuzzy partitioning of system variables, evaluation procedure, and system variables, evaluation procedure, and system parameters aggregation have been described in detail for two classes and three distinguishing types of evaluation. Classes of evaluation include (a) linguistic, and (b) fuzzy (Choquet) integral based evaluation. Within these classes we distinguish between: (1) single criterion evaluation, (2) global multicriteria evaluation, and (3) global integral evaluation. First type relates to fuzzification of system parameters and matching procedure of a system's parameters input values to linguistic values in pre–defined dictionary. Multicriteria evaluation provides aggregation protocol of an object's attributes values and their significance yielding its suitability measure. We can use this measure to select the most appropriate linguistic value from pre–defined dictionary for further propagation through reasoning system, as well as for ranking of possible alternatives since it provides their global rank. Both types belong to linguistic evaluation class. Finally, global integral evaluation employs fuzzy integrals (here Choquet integral) for overall assessment of alternatives status. This type of evaluation belongs to fuzzy integral based class. Each type of evaluation is illustrated by an example from the real industrial practice concerning metal cutting process planning. The whole methodology should be seen as an upgrade of traditional expert systems used for this purpose. Relaxation of some system constraints provides more generality to traditional approaches, puts more "naturality" in assessment of parameters values, and reduces knowledge bases.

Abstract:
The concepts of Choquet boundary and Shilov boundary are well-established in the context of a complex function algebra (see [2] for example). There have been a few attempts to develop the concept of a Shilov boundary for real algebras, [4], [6] and [7]. But there seems to be none to develop the concept of Choquet boundary for real algebras. The aim of this paper is to develop the theory of Choquet boundary of a real function algebra (see Definition (1.8)) along the lines of the corresponding theory for a complex function algebra. In the first section we define a real-part representing measure for a continuous linear functional ϕ on a real function algebra A with the property ║ϕ║ = 1 = ϕ(1). The elements of A are functions on a compact, Hausdorff space X. The Choquet boundary is then defined as the set of those points x ∊ X such that the real part of the evaluation functional, Re(ex), has a unique real part representing measure.

Abstract:
In the rapidly evolving landscape of business operations, establishing a robust security domain prevention system in the Middle Office is of utmost importance. To achieve this, the integration of Choquet expectation-based methodologies offers a powerful approach. The Middle Office acts as a critical hub for various business processes, including risk management, compliance, and data protection. With the implementation of Choquet expectation theory, which encompasses the combination of multiple criteria and preferences, businesses can effectively assess and optimize their security domain prevention system. The establishment and optimization of a security domain prevention system based on Choquet’s expectations provide businesses with a comprehensive and tailored approach to protect their critical assets, maintain operational continuity, and safeguard sensitive data from emerging threats in the Middle Office environment. This paper constructed a Fuzzy Optimization Membership Estimation (FOME) for the computation of the feature vector. The proposed FOME model uses the Flemingo Optimization model for the evaluation of the feature vector in the business middle office. The FOME model effectively computes the Choquet expectation features for the analysis of the risk management of the feature vector in the middle office. Through the membership estimation with the FOME model, the model significantly computes the different attacks in the middle office. The analysis of the proposed FOME is evaluated for the conventional CICIDS dataset for the attack analysis. The simulation analysis stated that the proposed FOME model achieves a higher classification accuracy of 99.89% for attack detection.

Abstract:
Information fusion systems have been widely used in many applications these last years in order to improve decision-making. Some applications are quite complex and require a cooperation between both the information fusion system and human experts who may have important and relevant knowledge on these applications. During the cooperation proposed in this thesis, experts provides reference situations while the system gives them information about the fusion mechanisms through dependencies between the information fusion system's inputs. This cooperation has been applied successfully on two applications. The first industrial application, in collaboration with Schneider Electric, concerns the quality evaluation of composite material parts based on 3D-tomographic images. The Choquet Integral is used as the fusion operator taking as inputs several attributes extracted from the 3D-tomographic images. The Choquet Integral parameters have been identified by a new supervised method based on relative entropy that quantifies automatically the dependencies between attributes. The second cultural application, in collaboration with “la Cité de l'image en mouvement”, concerns the selection of animated films. The proposed fusion system combines ordinal symbolic evaluations on four criteria (Scenario, Aesthetic,. . . ) using a generalized mean operator, Two platforms, including software and hardware parts, have been implemented and validated during several experimentation campaigns with the two partners

Lacaussade, Charles-Thierry. Electronic Thesis or Diss., Université Paris sciences et lettres, 2024. http://www.theses.fr/2024UPSLD021.

Abstract:
This thesis aims to provide innovative theoretical and empirical methods for valuing securities to economics researchers, market makers, and participants, including brokers, dealers, asset managers, and regulators. We propose an extension of the Fundamental Theorem of Asset Pricing (FTAP) tailored to markets with financial frictions. Hence, our asset pricing methodologies allow for more tractable bid and ask prices, as observed in the financial market. This thesis provides both theoretical models and an empirical application of the pricing rule with bid-ask spreads. In our first chapter, we introduce two straightforward closed-form pricing expressions for securities in two-date markets, encompassing a variety of frictions (transaction cost, taxes, commission fees). This result relies on a novel absence of arbitrage condition tailored to the market with frictions considering potential buy and sell strategies. Furthermore, these asset pricing models both rely on non-additive probability measures. The first is a Choquet pricing rule, for which we offer a particular case adapted for calibration, and the second is a Multiple Priors pricing rule.In the second chapter, as a step toward generalizing our asset pricing models, we provide the necessary and sufficient conditions for multi-period pricing rules characterized by bid-ask spreads. We extend the multi-period version of the Fundamental Theorem of Asset Pricing by assuming the existence of market frictions. We show that it is possible to model a dynamic multi-period pricing problem with a one-stage pricing problem when the filtration is frictionless, which is equivalent to assuming the martingale property, which is equivalent to assuming price consistency. Finally, in the third chapter, we give the axiomatization of a particular class of Choquet pricing rule, namely Rank-Dependent pricing rules assuming the absence of arbitrage and put-call parity. Rank-dependent pricing rules have the appealing feature of being easily calibrated because the non-additive probability measure takes the form of a distorted objective probability. Therefore, we offer an empirical study of these Rank-Dependent pricing rules through a parametric calibration on market data to explore the impact of market frictions on prices. We also study the empirical validity of the put-call parity. Furthermore, we investigate the impact of time to expiration (time value) and moneyness (intrinsic value) on the shape of the distortion function. The resulting rank-dependent pricing rules always exhibit a greater accuracy than the benchmark (FTAP). Finally, we relate the market frictions to the market's risk aversion

Abstract:
The proposal and the axiomatization of new fuzzy integrals has a central role in modern Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis. In this thesis we propose some generalizations of well known fuzzy integrals (Choquet, Shilkret and Sugeno). We propose and characterize bipolar fuzzy integrals, which are generalization of the most famous fuzzy integrals to the case of bipolar scale, i.e. those symmetric scale where it is possible for each value to find the opposite. We also deal with the generalization of the concept of universal integral (recently proposed to generalize several fuzzy integrals) to the case of bipolar scales. We also provide the characterization of the bipolar universal integral with respect to a level dependent bi-capacity. Finally, we consider the problem to adapt classical definitions of fuzzy integrals to the case of imprecise interval evaluations. More precisely, standard fuzzy integrals used in MCDA request that the starting evaluations of a choice on various criteria must be expressed in terms of exact-evaluations. We present the robust Choquet, Shilkret and Sugeno integrals, computed with respect to an interval capacity. These are quite natural generalizations of the Choquet, Shilkret and Sugeno integrals, useful to aggregate interval-evaluations of choice alternatives into a single overall evaluation.

Abstract:
The government of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais adopted a management model, known as \"Management Shock\" (Choque de Gestão), by way of covenants called \"Agreement on Results\", which foresee possible rewarding for the achievement of targets agreed upon. Considering such covenants and the assumption that agents can promote adjustments or changes in performance indicators therein contained, in order to suit interests different of those initially targeted, this research sought to identify, in light of the Agency and Contingency Theories, the organizational and environmental factors influencing performance indicators changes in the government\'s management structure. To this end, we conducted a case study, comprising quantitative and qualitative approaches, using documentary analysis, a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews to collect data. We initially performed a quantitative data analysis, through factor analysis and logistic regression, to ascertain the factors associated with changes in performance indicators identified in covenants celebrated over a period of four years. The interviews were subsequently submitted to content analysis, in order to capture elements that possibly passed unnoticed in the quantitative analysis. Results point out that lack of integration in the application of performance indicators, by regarding each department by itself and relying on a governmental agency that only feebly supervises management, leads to covenants proving volatile and not providing its expected benefits as control tools or acting as enhancers to the management process. We also found that accountability is compromised by the management\'s structure weakness, incurred through changes to indicators. It is pointed out that accountability could be part of a set of possible solutions directed to mitigate the problems identified throughout the analysis, acting as a protection mechanism against unauthorized changes in performance indicators. We conclude that the tools provided under \"Management Shock\" are not sufficient to shield the model\'s managerial structure from pressures identified according to the Agency and Contingency Theories, undermining the model, as originally proposed, and allowing for indicators changes.

Introduction: The analysis of healthcare quality can be performed by assessing the care process. To this end, a broad concept of quality is necessary, which has three domains: structure, process and outcome. The exclusive assessment of outcome is somewhat interesting to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness. On the other hand, the evaluation of the care process is better to understand how healthcare services are carried out. Finally, the structure analysis allows realize how care is organized. In 1969, the Institute of Medicine expressed that specific diseases could be used as "tracers" to analyze healthcare services. This kind of evaluation could allow understanding the interplay among professionals, patients and the setting. Furthermore, it could provide information easy to understand and it would allow the development of suggestions that could be able to positively change the process of providing healthcare services. Purpose of research: This research aims to analyze the management of the care process using the sepsis as tracer disease of quality. The study was intended to understand whether this analysis would be able to contribute to the improvement of quality in the hospital setting. Results: After the selection of the study sample, the number of eighteen patients of a particular Brazilian public hospital was retrospectively evaluated. It was performed medical record review and the data collection was done in a specific research instrument. The adherence to quality indicators of the care process in sepsis, proposed by the Surviving Sepsis Campaign, was low: measure lactate level = 22%; blood cultures prior to administration of antibiotics = 33%; administer blood spectrum antibiotics = 28%; use of crystalloids or vasopressors = 72%; measurement central venous pressure = zero; measurement central venous oxygen saturation = 6%. Neither case had joint realization of all the items mentioned. Time indicators demonstrated that there was excess length of stay in the emergency department before hospitalization; delay in detection and diagnosis of sepsis; unavailability of beds in intensive care for immediate hospitalization. Furthermore, especially in surgical patients, there was a difficulty assessing specialized human resources and special facilities for diagnosis. Conclusion: The healthcare in sepsis appears to be sensitive to the quality of service delivery. This analysis allows the detection of care failures and to propose possible solutions.

Abstract:
The Industrial Revolution generated two parallel phenomena during the twentieth century: increased distribution of wealth and reduced energy costs, causing a large increase in energy consumption. With the international oil crisis in the 1970s, materials used until that time such as concrete, steel and glass, began to be seen as energy-intensive materials. Society began to seek buildings with minimal environmental impact, using materials that generate a smaller amount of energy, waste and pollution and CO2 emissions in the atmosphere and provide greater potential for reincorporation into nature. In this scenario, raw soil as a building material has become an alternative for the development of sustainable buildings, but also to improve the livability of housing for the low-income population in the country. Among various construction materials, raw soil-cement, which is cured without burning, is raw soil pressed and stabilized with Portland cement, which is already regulated by the Brazilian Technical Standards Association (ABNT) and possesses many advantages related to its manufacturing and use. To increase its acceptance and verify its efficiency as a building material for social housing, it is necessary to investigate its properties and performance. Thus, the present study aimed to evaluate the performance of an external vertical sealing system composed of soil-cement blocks without structural function for social housing, following determinations of NBR 15575 (2013), focusing on the requirements of Habitability and Sustainability. The habitability require the heat action and thermal shock test. Firstly, using the particle size analysis and liquid limit and plastic limit test, to characterize the compostion of the ground on which the block was used. The bodies-of-proof were tested in The laboratory of Structural Models and Tests (Laboratório de Ensaios e Modelos Estruturais LEME), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre, RS, and consisted of two full scale walls. The system met limits set by standards for tightness against rainwater and heat action and thermal shock, but not for permeability to water. The vertical sealing system composed of hollow blocks of soil-cement has great potential for application in the construction of social housing, but there is still a need for more studies on the system.

Considering measurable evidence and fuzzy measures that involve linguistic terms, this thesis proposes a fuzzy-number based Choquet integral to aggregate linguistic information when information fusion between criteria is considered. The proposed fuzzy-number based Choquet integral is a generalization of a standard Choquet integral that can cope with interval-number or fuzzy-number types of measurable evidence and fuzzy measures. Furthermore, by investigating the related characteristics of the Choquet integral and the fuzzy-number based Choquet integral, the operation process of the fuzzy-number based Choquet integral is clarified in this thesis. Combining linguistic terms and the compatibility of psychology, fuzzy numbers and the fuzzy-number based Choquet integral, when information fusion between criteria is considered, are introduced into evaluating service quality and aggregating information in three-column format of SERVQUAL. Finally, a numerical example, regarding the comparison of overall service performance between e-stores, is demonstrated to illustrate how the fuzzy-number based Choquet integral and its two-stage aggregation process operate in three-column format of SERVQUAL for evaluating service quality.

Abstract:
This chapter describes a system of fuzzy methods designed to solve a broad range of problems in multiple-criteria evaluation, and also their software implementation, FuzzME. A feature common to all the presented methods is the type of evaluation, well suited to the paradigm of fuzzy set theory. All evaluations take on the form of fuzzy numbers, expressing the extent to which goals of evaluation are fulfilled. The system of fuzzy methods is conceived to allow for different types of interaction among criteria of evaluation. Under no interaction, the fuzzy weighted average, fuzzy OWA operator, or WOWA operator are used to aggregate partial evaluations (depending on the evaluator’s requirements regarding type of evaluation). If interactions appear as redundancy or complementarity, the fuzzified discrete Choquet integral is the appropriate aggregation operator. Under more complex interactions, the aggregation function is defined through an expertly set base of fuzzy rules.

Abstract:
Nowadays, the environmental footprint of a process has become an important aspect to be considered in each human activity from industrial production to logistics. Despite this increased awareness, environmental friendliness is a quite new aspect in the IT sector and even less considered in the field of recommendation systems. Bundle recommendation aims to generate bundles of associated products that users tend to consume as a whole under certain circumstances, and poses additional challenges in terms of environmental friendliness. Nevertheless, current bundle recommendation systems fail to consider the environmental impact of the product bundle when generating recommendations. We introduce a new preference-based approach for bundle recommendation exploiting the Choquet integral. This allows us to formalize preferences for coalitions of environmental-related attributes, thus recommending product bundles accounting for synergies among product attributes. An experimental evaluation on a dataset of local food products in Northern Italy shows how the Choquet integral allows to naturally formalize a sensible notion of environmental friendliness, and that standard approaches based on weighted sums of attributes end up recommending bundles with lower environmental friendliness even if weights are explicitly learned to maximize it.

Abstract:
Mechatronic systems are of increased importance in engineering and their relevance goes hand in hand with the increasing complexity of the tasks they perform. Due to the inherent complexity of mechatronic systems, a concurrent systematic and multi-objective design thinking methodology is crucial to replace the often used sequential design approach that tends to deal with the different domains separately. In this research we present a new multi-criteria profile (MMP) for mechatronic system performance evaluation in the stage of conceptual design. Based on the assessed MMP for each of generated design concepts and using a method of aggregation for interacting criteria, a global performance index will be calculated. Best mechatronic configurations are determined by maximizing this performance index. In the presented paper two nonlinear fuzzy integrals called 2-additive Choquet and Sugeno will be used for the aggregation of criteria and fitting the intuitive requirements for decision-making in the presence of interacting criteria. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed design method alongside each of the decision making models will be validated via a case study of designing a robotic visual servoing system. The comparative simulation results for the overall system performance will also be presented for both cases of using Choquet and Sugeno integrals.

Abstract:
Mechatronic systems are a combination of cooperative mechanical, electronics and control components. The high number of their components, their multi-physical aspect, the couplings between the different domains involved and the interacting design objectives makes the design task very tedious ad complex. Due to this inherent complexity, a concurrent systematic and multi-objective design thinking methodology is crucial to replace the often used sequential design approach that tends to deal with the different domains separately. In this research we present a new multi-criteria profile for mechatronic system performance evaluation in conceptual design stage. The newly introduced Mechatronic Multi-criteria Profile (MMP) includes various quantitative members such as intelligence, reliability, complexity, flexibility and cost. A nonlinear fuzzy integral called 2-additive Choquet Integral will be used for the aggregation of criteria and fitting the intuitive requirements for decision-making in the presence of interacting criteria. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method will be validated via a case study of designing a robotic visual servoing system.
