Full textOver the past decades, the semiconductor industry has witnessed a remarkable increase in the performance of integrated circuits. Photolithography, a crucial process in the manufacturing of integrated circuits, requires an increasingly complex sequence of steps, including various successive treatments such as Self-Aligned Double Patterning (SADP) and Self-Aligned Quadruple Patterning (SAQP). Beyond their complexity and the associated cost escalation, patterning steps can result in alignment errors, known as Edge Placement Error (EPE), which can impact the proper functioning of devices such as transistors. The objective of this thesis is to develop a novel topographical selective deposition (TSD) process using a "Deposition/Etching" super-cycle approach. The advantages of this TSD process include the lateral and direct formation of spacers on the sidewalls of 3D architectures, such as CMOS transistor gates at the nanoscale. This innovative manufacturing approach paves the way for reducing the number of steps and equipment required in the fabrication process, minimizing the potential EPE introduced by photolithography. Consequently, it offers the opportunity to reduce the consumption of horizontal surfaces in 3D transistors, a critical factor in the integration of advanced technological nodes during spacer creation. This work offers a proof of concept of the TSD deposition, using a super-cycle approach that alternates between a conformal deposition process by PE(ALD) and various anisotropic plasma etching processes in the same tool. This approach leverages the physical and chemical properties of plasma interactions with materials

Full textThe reflexions lead around the idea of collective (or collaborative) intelligence suggest, that those emerge within a system in interaction of which technical, social and semiotic factors are strongly imbricated (Pierre Levy, 1994). In order to leverage this challenge, this thesis propose to mix two innovative concepts. Firstly, the collaborative ubiquituous space is used to catalyse the interactions between groups of agents and services. Secondly, an infrastructure with distributed resources is used to dynamically coordinate the resources and the security according to quality of service criteria. A collaborative ubiquituous space integrates artificial processes to achieve massive computation (simulations, data mining, etc. ) and multimodal interfaces including shared visualisation for interactions between humans. In terms of infrastructure, this thesis explains why the Web does not respond suitably to the problem of collective intelligence and why we looked at Grid. In particular, a singular property of Grid is the stateful service that allows to coordinate distributed ressources in a dynamic and secured manner. To show it, instead of developping an analytical model, we have chosen a systemic model. The architecture model Agora proposes to use Grid to deploy collaborative ubiquituous spaces. Validated by a empirical method, this model has been evaluated iteratively based on returns from expérimentations with communities of users. According to the progress of our investigations, a Grid architecture coupled concepts linked to multi-agents systems show caracteristics required for scalability with a rationnal use of resources, while offering garanties of sécurity and high availibility

Full textAudio-visual, legible, visible, even invisible, the reminiscence, as a plasticosonorous composition, is after all an invitation to a "seas/tears" voyage through ultra-marine (blue) waters to recover the lost word - taken away by ahes - by sprinkling some shadowy dust. So, this composition, from the infra towards the supra - after a passage in the margin -, becomes a psychoanalytical tour using chemistry, alchemy, socio-ethnology and poetry. As an intersign, the reminiscence spreads its deposits of bodies on the borders of one's native soil (penn-ar-bed) in order to re-create, through the link, the "instant-place" uniting the inner and outer worlds. From deluge to the baptism, the blue is a matter of leaving and returning. Tears, peacefully, humbly run down. Miscible recovery. . . Of an another world, a forsaken message on a map, both revealed and hidden through a gate, like an individual and/or collective memory. Between the delusion and the illusion, the reminiscence lays itself down then passes away. From the end of the our wandering attitude, we try to fill the void that the loneliness, as a nostalgia, has left somewhere on the edge of an undecided vague melancholy. But always the blue returns. . . Between separation and agregation, some prints, finally, will spring suddenly from the earth punctuated by our forefathers' voices. And so the blue frontier will be crossed over

Full textMost infectious diseases are contracted in indoor environments. The time spent and the confinement in these spaces fosters the emergence and transmission of certain respiratory viruses. Various studies have shown a link between the presence of viruses on surfaces and infections. The role of the environment on the survival of the virus, particularly the relative share of fomites, although briefly mentioned, remains unknown. This research aims to evaluate the propensity of media to inhibit the transmission of viruses. In this context, the aim of this work is to study the role of building materials and products. The originality of this thesis lies in the development of methodologies to reproduce contaminating surface contamination by oropharyngeal emission, using a saliva substitute associated with two modes of surface contamination: airborne contamination and droplets deposition. Monitoring of contamination is provided by two quantitative approaches. One based on the RNA of the viral particles and the other on the infectivity of viral particles. The results show that the virus is able to retain some of its infectivity after an artificial aerosolization. They also highlight the ability of certain materials, such as copper and the linoleum to affect the viral genome according to the mode of contamination. However, some materials can preserve infectivity for at least 24 hours

Full textThe aim of this thesis was to set up an algorithm for processing LIDAR data (LIght Detection And Ranging). LIDARs of the Doppler and aerosol type were mainly used. The measurements of these measuring devices are obtained in such a way that only an observation grid is in fact available. However, it is desired to have information about the atmosphere which is a continuous medium. We used multi-resolution analysis methods to place ourselves in a mathematical framework corresponding to the physical problem. We have thus obtained a division of the space of evolution of the process into two orthogonal subspaces, imposed by the structure of the observations. We were able to extend the theory of nonlinear ltering in this framework. For this we used the filter kernels of Feynman-Kac type. We had to resume the calculations and formulate hypotheses consistent with the physical problem in order to obtain results of convergence similar to those of the classical theory. We then returned to the frame suitable for particle filters. We developed different algorithms based on the theoretical results obtained. Different applications of our method allowed us to highlight the fact that we could, to some extent, find parameters smaller than the resolution given by the grid. Finally, we set up a theoretical framework as well as an algorithm for processing LIDAR Doppler and aerosol data. We were able to verify that our estimates were refined by the addition of passive tracers

Full textClimate change presents cities with significant environmental challenges. Urban planners need decision-making tools and a better knowledge of their territory. One objective is to better understand the link between the grey and the green infrastructures in order to analyse and represent them. The second objective is to propose a methodology to map the urban structure at urban fabric scale taking into account the grey and green infrastructures. In current databases, vegetation is not mapped in an exhaustive way. Therefore the first step is to extract tree and grass vegetation using Pléiades satellite images using an object-based image analysis and an active learning classification. Based on those classifications and multi-sources data, an approach based on knowledge discovery in databases is proposed. It is focused on set of indicators mostly coming from urbanism and landscape ecology. The methodology is built on Strasbourg and applied on Rennes to validate and check its reproducibility
