Abstract:
The aim of this study was to examine whether scar imaging echocardiography with ultrasound multi-pulse scheme (eSCAR) can detect subclinical myocardial involvement in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). We consecutively recruited SLE patients and controls matched for age, sex, and cardiovascular risk factors. Participants with cardiac symptoms or a prior history of heart disease were excluded. All participants underwent eSCAR and speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) with global longitudinal strain (GLS) assessment. SLE patients were assessed for disease activity and were followed up for 12 months. Myocardial scars by eSCAR were observed in 19% of SLE patients, almost exclusively localized at the inferoseptal myocardial segments, and in none of the controls. GLS was significantly lower in most myocardial segments of SLE patients compared with the controls, especially in the inferoseptal segments. eSCAR-positive SLE patients received a higher cumulative and current dose of prednisone, and had significantly higher levels of anti-dsDNA antibodies (p = 0.037). eSCAR-positive patients were at higher risk of having SLE flares over follow-up (hazard ratio: 4.91; 95% CI 1.43–16.83; p = 0.0001). We identified inferoseptal myocardial scars by eSCAR in about one-fifth of SLE patients. Subclinical myocardial involvement was associated with glucocorticoid use and anti-dsDNA antibodies.

Abstract:
BackgroundScar imaging echocardiography with ultrasound multi-pulse scheme (eSCAR) is a novel technique allowing detection of myocardial scars. eSCAR has never been explored in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc).ObjectivesThe aim of our study was to examine whether eSCAR may detect subclinical myocardial fibrosis in SSc.MethodsIn this cross-sectional study conducted between 11/2020 and 02/2021, consecutive SSc patients from the University of Verona underwent cardiovascular disease (CVD) screening procedures including standard transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and myocardial scars detection through the eSCAR technique. We excluded patients with prior history of structural heart disease and pulmonary hypertension. To validate eSCAR findings, we assessed myocardial function through global longitudinal strain (GLS) analysis by speckle tracking echocardiography (STE). We also conducted a case-control study comparing eSCAR findings in randomly selected SSc patients and non-SSc controls matched 1:1 for age, sex and number of CVD risk factors. The primary outcome was the proportion of patients with myocardial scars. Principal component analysis (PCA) was used to determine main eSCAR patterns. Multivariable linear regression analysis was used to minimise confounding.ResultsScar imaging echocardiography revealed that 42/92 (44%) SSc patients had myocardial scars involving a median [25th-75th percentile] of 4 [1-7] segments. PCA identified that myocardial scars localised mostly at the inferior and septal segments (inferoseptal pattern; Figure 1). STE validation confirmed that GLS was significantly reduced in SSc patients with inferoseptal scars (Table 1). Otherwise, all standard echocardiography measures were normal in both groups. In multivariable regression analysis, prior digital ulcerations (B=0.41, 95% CI 0.008 to 0.809, p=0.045) and body mass index (B=-0.06, 95% CI -0.113 to -0.015, p=0.012) were both significantly and independently associated with inferoseptal myocardial scars. Abstract:
Background:Myocardial fibrosis is a severe complication of immune-mediated diseases, occurring in up to 30% of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging allows myocardial scar detection in SLE patients, but it is costly, time consuming, and unfit for patients with renal disease. Scar imaging echocardiography with ultrasound multi-pulse scheme (eSCAR) is a novel and promising technique that proved to be effective in detecting ischemic myocardial scars in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD).Objectives:To evaluate if the eSCAR technique is feasible and to better characterize SLE patients with cardiac involvement by eSCAR.Methods:We recruited consecutive patients with SLE classified according to the 2019 EULAR/ACR recommendations. Patients with diabetes mellitus, obesity, prior cardiovascular (CV) disease or anti-phospholipid (aPL) syndrome were excluded. Eligible participants underwent a thorough clinical assessment and a full echocardiography examination, including the eSCAR technique. Data on clinical variables were collected; disease activity was estimated by the SLE Disease Activity Index (SLEDAI) score. Lupus flare was defined as new/worse clinical signs and symptoms and/or lab measurements and a change/increase in treatment. Patients were compared according to the presence or absence of eSCAR. In this preliminary report, only descriptive analyses are provided. Continuous data are reported as median [25th; 75thpercentile].Results:We enrolled fifteen patients diagnosed with SLE (age 45 years [36; 47], disease duration 14 years [12; 20]), 13 (87%) were females. Median SLEDAI was 5 [2; 8]. The most frequent disease involvement included arthritis (73%), skin and mucous membranes (60%), lupus nephritis (47%) and cytopenias (47%). Patients had received treatment for lupus with 5 drugs [5; 8]. Cumulative prednisone dosage was 25 g [20; 44], whilst the current daily dosage of prednisone was 4 mg [0.0; 5.0]. Hypertension was present in 4 (27%) and hypercholesterolemia in 2 (13%) subjects; 4 patients (27%) were current or past smokers. The eSCAR technique was feasible in all participants with no adverse effects. Myocardial scars were detected in 2 patients (eSCAR-positive 13%; figure and table); eSCAR positive patients were females and had no history of cardiovascular involvement (including pericarditis); they had at least one relapse within the prior 12 months before enrollment; at least one cardiovascular risk factor was found in both patients (one was a smoker and the other one had hypertension); none received prior treatment with cyclophosphamide or rituximab; they had no renal involvement; arthritis and cytopenia were the prominent features of disease; anti-dsDNA titer was higher than eSCAR-negative patients.Conclusion:Echocardiography allowed detection of myocardial scars in patients with SLE. Our preliminary data show that eSCAR is feasible and well tolerated in a SLE population. Abstract:
ABSTRACT Fusarium species, a mold which causes disease mainly in plants has emerged as pathogen in immunocompromised patients. Fusarium is known to cause keratitis, onychomycosis, and endophthalmitis. Fusarium solani, is the most common isolate from clinical specimen. Here is a case, a 65-year-old male with type II diabetes mellitus since 10 years presented with a large ulcer on the left leg since 8 months following trauma. The fungal culture of the escar of the ulcer isolated a mold, Fusarium solani. The patient’s leg was amputated and was treated with amphotericin B. The patient was discharged on healing of the stump. This case gives emphasis on fungal culture in chronic diabetic ulcer.

Abstract:
Este escrito de investigación comprende de forma aproximada el modelamiento cinemático directo del robot equino de seis grados de libertad “6-DOF” desarrollado como producto de la investigación en curso titulada “Simulador equino para prácticas de tiro montado en la ESCAR”. El manipulador diseñado tiene fines educativos y será utilizado en las prácticas de tiro montado, como herramienta de apoyo didáctico en los cursos de carabineros de la policía nacional. Se presenta la propuesta de diseño del manipulador robótico adaptado a las necesidades educativas. Se utilizan actuadores eléctricos lineales de potencia que acoplan los eslabones de la cadena cinemática propuesta. Se aproxima la cinemática directa del robot, utilizando el algoritmo de Denavit-Hartenberg “DH” y se calcula el modelo dinámico del manipulador. Finalmente se valida el prototipo realizando pruebas de simulación del comportamiento del manipulador mediante la creación de segmentos de programa en Matlab® y se comparan con los resultados obtenidos mediante el control del mecanismo desde una aplicación de software desarrollada para tal fin en Microsoft Visual C# 2013®.

Abstract:
Introduction: Scrub typhus is public health problem in South East Asian Region and also it is of rising concern in India. Eastern part of Maharashtra state is highly vulnerable to the disease as it is under forest cover. This region is presently witnessing outbreak of scrub typhus. The present case control study aims to understand determinants of the scrub typhus in this geographical location. Material & Methods: Operational definition for scrub typhus cases used in present study was “Individuals who are positive for IgM Elisa of Scrub typhus”. Cases of scrub typhus reported to health system that comply with the operational definition were recruited. Individually matched controls were selected from the same village. Matching was done for age, sex, socioeconomic status and residence. Total 16 cases and 32 controls were enrolled and compared for socio-demographic, environmental and behavioral domains. Results: Clinical menifestations among cases were Fever, malaise, headache, escahar and rash. The most common sites of escar was groin 3 (42.8%), followed by suprascapular region 2 (28.6%), axilla 1(14.3%) and elbow 1 (14.3%). The risk factors for scrub typhus were vegetations around household within 3 feet range, length of grass blade more than 2 feet, routine work in shrub, engaging in forest related work and activities aroud lake with the odds 5.41 (1.13-25.83), 5.6 (1.24-25.49), 3.66 (1.04- 12.9) 4.2 (1.02-18.02) and 4.59 (1.25-16.77) respectively. Conclusion: Apart from other known risk factors, present study ascertained activities around lake, closeness of vegetations to the household (less than 3 feet) and length of grass blade (more than 2 feet) as new risk factors. These findings may be helpful in developing targeted intervention strategies to control scrub typhus.

Abstract:
Two new species of deep-sea anglerfishes are described on the basis of specimens collected from off northeastern Taiwan. Oneirodes formosanus sp. nov., based on one adult female, differs from its congeners in having a deep caudal peduncle (15.4% SL) and esca with a single simple, elongate, unbranched, internally pigmented, anterior escal appendage; a simple, elongate, posterior escal appendage; an elongate terminal escal papilla; and no medial and lateral escal appendages. Gigantactis cheni sp. nov., based on three adult females, differs from its congeners in having a series of unpigmented filaments at base of illicium; a black terminal elongated esca bearing numerous dermal spinules; relatively more jaws teeth with the outtermost ones relatively short. A synopsis of Taiwanese species of the suborder Ceratioidei is provided.

Abstract:
Em solos sob plantio direto, o tráfego de máquinas pode imprimir ao solo estado de compactação restritivo ao rendimento de culturas. Este trabalho foi realizado na Universidade de Cruz Alta, no município de Cruz Alta (RS). O objetivo foi avaliar os efeitos de sistemas de manejo e estados de compactação do solo sob sistema plantio direto nas propriedades físicas e no rendimento de grãos de seis cultivares de soja. O experimento foi realizado em um Latossolo Vermelho distroférrico, com 427 g kg-1 de argila. Os tratamentos, estabelecidos em blocos ao acaso, com quatro repetições, constaram de sistemas de manejo e estados de compactação criados por um rolo compactador de 2 Mg, foram: plantio direto (PD) contínuo sem compactação adicional (PD-C0), PD com uma passada do rolo compactador (PD-C1), PD com três passadas do rolo compactador (PD-C2), PD com cinco passadas do rolo compactador (PD-C3) e PD escarificado sem preparo secundário (ESCAR). As propriedades físicas avaliadas foram resistência à penetração do solo (RP), densidade do solo (Ds), porosidade total (Pt), macroporosidade (Macro) e microporosidade (Micro). A compactação do solo causou menores valores de Ds, espaço poroso e RP do solo na camada de 0-0,10 m de profundidade. Houve relação direta entre a Ds, volume de Micro e a RP do solo e relação inversa entre a Ds e o volume de Macro, com o aumento do estado de compactação. Os cultivares de soja apresentaram comportamento semelhante para os diferentes estados de compactação do solo. A escarificação do solo em área manejada por oito anos sob sistema plantio direto não propiciou incremento no rendimento de grãos de soja. Quando os valores de RP foram de até 2,6 MPa, os de Ds de até 1,51 Mg m-3 e volume de Macro superiores a 0,10 dm³ dm-3, em condições de lavoura, não houve comprometimento do rendimento de grãos de soja.

Esta tese é um estudo sobre as relações entre cultura, comunicação e consumo em tempos de globalização. Tomando como quadro de referência teórico-metodológica os resultados de pesquisas de caráter etnográfico conduzidas em diversos países do globo, os quais apontam para a imbricação dos telefones celulares no tecido das culturas urbanas contemporâneas, esta pesquisa descreve e analisa as especificidades da apropriação e consumo dessa tecnologia global em um bairro de camadas populares na cidade de Florianópolis. Ao longo de doze meses de trabalho de campo, investigamos os processos simbólicos e práticas socioculturais reveladas nas relações pessoa-telefone celular na comunidade do Morro São Jorge, procurando compreender as lógicas culturais envolvidas a partir do enquadre teórico dos estudos antropológicos sobre tecnologias de comunicação e informação, globalização, consumo e grupos populares. Concluímos que os telefones celulares jogam um papel relevante na vida cotidiana em diversos aspectos: nas relações entre gêneros e gerações; na vivência da religiosidade; na apresentação de si; na construção de imaginários, identidades e do mundo social, constituindo parte importante de um estilo de vida, uma maneira de estar no mundo - mediada pela tecnologia - cada vez mais característica da cultura contemporânea.

O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar uma proposta de análise de inacusatividade para o verbo estar do português brasileiro (PB), dentro do quadro da Teoria de Regência e Vinculação. Desta perspectiva, estar seleciona small clauses adjetivais, verbais, preposicionais e nominais. São apresentadas as abordagens de small clause de Stowell (1995), Contreras (1995) e Raposo e Uriagereka (1995). Considera-se para este estudo a hipótese de small clause (SC) de Stowell, o qual propõe análise de SC para todos os tipos de predicados (adjetival, verbal, preposicional e nominal).

Este trabalho visa investigar discursos sobre a ação jurídica de Destituição de Poder Familiar no Brasil. DPF é uma lei civil que consiste na retirada da guarda dos pais de crianças e adolescentes em situações consideradas de extrema gravidade, tais como violência, negligência, maus-tratos e abandono. A partir do diálogo entre Psicanálise, Filosofia, Análise de Discurso e Direito, propus-me a acompanhar o plano obscuro de produção de sentidos sobre o princípio que orienta a medida de DPF: o melhor interesse da criança, o bom e o seu bem-estar. Baseando-me em Freud no Mal-estar da Cultura e Lacan no Seminário VII - A Ética psicanálise, percorri discursos jurídicos, discurso de uma política pública e também das teorias sociais críticas sobre o tema. O dispositivo metodológico utilizado foi a correlação do enunciado, advinda da Análise do Discurso francesa. Assim, o bem supremo de Aristóteles; o céu estrelado da submissão absoluta à lei moral em Kant; o bem utilitarista de Bentham; o bem da verdade da ciência positivista; e o bem cristão apareceram nas correlações de enunciado do bem-estar da criança. Ressalto, sobretudo, a ética do respeito aos fundamentos da experiência de cada sujeito humano,proposta pela psicanálise. Por considerar o sujeito um ato de resposta, o dispositivo da DPF pode ser um momento de elaboração simbólica de experiência traumática e/ou violenta. Desse modo, leva-se em conta o pedaço de real que habita o ser humano, que não cede aos formalismos do campo jurídico.

Résumé: Ce travail prétend investiguer des discours sur l'action juridique de la Destitution de Pouvoir Familial (DPF) au Brésil. La DPF est une loi civile qui consiste à retirer la garde des enfants de leurs parents dans des situations considérées d'extrême gravité, comme la violence, négligence, maltraitance et abandon. A partir du dialogue entre la Psychanalyse, la Philosophie, l'Analyse du Discours et le Droit, j'ai proposé le suivi du domaine obscur de production de sens sur le príncipe qui régit la mesure de la DPF: le meilleur intêret de l'enfant, le bon et son bien-être. Ma base théorique est Freud dans Malaise dans la Civilisation e Lacan dans le Séminaire VII - L'Éthique de la Psychanalyse, j'ai parcouru les discours jurídiques, les discours d'une politique publique et aussi les théories sociales critiques sur ce thème. La méthodologie utilisée fut la corrélation d'énoncé, que j ai tirée de l'Annalyse du Discours Française. Ainsi, le souverain bien chez Aristote, le ciel d'étoile de la soumission absolue à la loi morale chez Kant, le bien utilitariste de Bentham; le bien de la vérité de la Science positiviste; et le bien chrétien sont apparus dans les corrélations d'énoncé du bien-être de l'enfant. J'ai pointé, surtout, l'éthique du respect des fondements de l'expérience de chaque être humain, proposée par la psychanalyse. Comme je prétends considérer le sujet une acte de réponse, le dispositif de la DPF peut être un moment d'élaboration symbolique d'une experience traumatique et/ou violente. Ainsi, il est clair que la prise en compte du morceau de réel qui habite l'être humain ne cède pas aux formalismes du monde juridique.

The purpose of this project is to portray a particular trait combination between guilt and fear and establish a connection between the analysis of Freud and Bauman on the notion of ill-being . Our reading of Freud's literature on the ill-being of civilization points to guilt as being a key element in the civilizing project, which transgresses the authenticity of the values of life and leads the subject to live continually immersed in a state of hardship. From this perspective, to be protected of threats of any kind, everyone is bound to sacrifice freedom and convert pleasure into guilt. In a civilized dimension obsessed with security, more freedom is akin to less ill-being. Bauman attempts to analyze the issue from the aspect of uncertainty and undetermination, which according to you are striking features of contemporaneity. According to the author, in the postmodern condition we find a deep lack of certainty, protection and security. The fearfulness is very numerous and inseparable from human life. He presents the foundations of social fears that plague individuals in liquid modernity, seeking to identify their common origins. In his view all that human beings have always sought was happiness and that it could only be obtained through communion between security and freedom, irreconcilable throughout history, incompatible in the modern civilization but apparently viable for consumption.
O propósito do presente trabalho é estabelecer um diálogo entre as análises de Freud (O mal-estar na civilização) e Bauman (O mal-estar da pós-modernidade) acerca da noção de Mal-estar, a fim de mostrar um traço específico da combinação entre culpa e medo, que seria a vida para o consumo. Nossa leitura sobre o Mal-estar na civilização de Freud aponta para o sentimento de culpa como um elemento fundamental dentro do projeto civilizatório, que fere a autenticidade dos valores da vida e conduz o sujeito a viver continuamente mergulhado numa incômoda condição. Nessa perspectiva, em nome da proteção contra ameaças de qualquer tipo, todos são convocados para sacrificar a liberdade, convertendo prazer por culpa, ainda que na dimensão civilizada obcecada pela segurança, mais liberdade seja sinônimo de menos mal-estar. Bauman procura analisar a questão sob o aspecto da insegurança e indeterminação que, no seu entendimento, são traços marcantes da contemporaneidade. De acordo com o autor, na pós-modernidade encontramos um momento profundamente carente de certezas, proteção e segurança, os medos são inúmeros e inseparáveis da vida humana. Ele apresenta os alicerces sociais dos medos que assolam os indivíduos na modernidade líquida, procurando identificar suas origens comuns. Na visão dele tudo o que o ser humano sempre buscou foi a felicidade, que só poderia ser obtida através da comunhão entre segurança e liberdade, inconciliáveis ao longo da história, incompatíveis na civilização moderna, sólida ou líquida, mas, aparentemente, viáveis no consumo.

This research discusses the well-being and the uneasiness of the teachers and it was made with thirty per cent of the teachers from a public school in “Alegrete/RS”, that has about one thousand and nine hundred students. It is a quantitative and qualitative study that identified the relations between the well-being and the uneasiness of the teachers and their gender. Within the scope of the well-being and the uneasiness of the teachers, it has the theoretical support of JESUS (1997; 1998; 2000) and ESTEVE (1987; 1994; 2004). In relation to the gender, it has the support of feminist researchers like BRUSCHINI (1986; 1994), CARVALHO (1998; 1999) e SORJ (2005) and others. Through the quantitative analysis it is possible to understand that the phenomenon called uneasiness of the teachers affects twenty-five per cent of the researched group and it is acrossed by the gender relations. The high level of uneasiness affects only women while the well-being affects the men. The qualitative research made possible the development of four categories, which are: the well-being and the uneasiness related to cultural upbringing fo men and women and its consequences into professional and domestic activities; the importance of the aspect of care, either for the well-being or the uneasiness among teachers; the close relationship between the time spent doing house and school work and levels of stress and professional outburst; and changes in social, economical, political and educational context which are significant fators that contribute to teachers’uneasiness establishment. The reflections made in the research show that it is important to move away from the tradicional gender relations, which still is in the beggining in that city.It also shows it is necessary to expand the studies about this subject and to spread them, envolving the responsable of the decisions and public polycies in order to dropp some of the stress potentials in the teaching practice for the studied group.
Esta pesquisa problematiza o bem-estar e o mal-estar docentes e foi realizada com trinta por cento do quadro docente de uma escola pública que atende a aproximadamente mil e novecentos alunos, no município de Alegrete/RS. Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo e qualitativo, que permitiu identificar as relações existentes entre bem-estar e mal-estar docentes e gênero. No âmbito do bem-estar e mal-estar docentes, apóia-se, teoricamente, em Jesus (1997; 1998; 2000) e Esteve (1987; 1994; 2004). Com relação ao gênero, busca suporte nos estudos de pesquisadoras feministas, como Bruschini (1986; 1994), Carvalho (1998; 1999) e Sorj (2005), entre outras. A análise quantitativa possibilitou a compreensão de que o fenômeno mal-estar docente atinge 25% do grupo pesquisado e é atravessado pelas relações de gênero: altos níveis de mal-estar docente acometem apenas as mulheres, enquanto nos níveis elevados de bem-estar docente, a maioria é do sexo masculino. A análise qualitativa permitiu a construção de quatro categorias a posteriori : o bem-estar e o mal-estar docentes relacionados à formação cultural de homens e mulheres e suas conseqüências na realização das tarefas domésticas e profissionais; a importância da dimensão do cuidado, tanto no bem-estar, quanto no mal-estar docentes entre professoras; a relação direta entre os tempos de trabalho escolar e doméstico e os níveis de estresse e exaustão profissional; mudanças no contexto sócio-econômico-político-educacional que se constituem fatores relevantes para o estabelecimento de um quadro de mal-estar docente. As reflexões elaboradas indicam a importância do processo de destradicionalização das relações de gênero, o qual ainda é incipiente na região estudada, para a diminuição dos níveis de mal-estar docente entre as professoras.Apontam, também, a necessidade de ampliar os estudos sobre o tema e de divulgá-los da forma mais abrangente possível, envolvendo, inclusive, os responsáveis pelas decisões e políticas públicas, com vistas a minimizar alguns dos potenciais estressores de ordem extrínseca, presentes na atividade docente, para o grupo investigado.

O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o bem estar subjetivo, o bem estar no trabalho e a satisfação no trabalho em trabalhadores cujas entidades patronais pertencem ao regime Público e ao Regime Privado de modo a identificar correlações significativas entre estas variáveis, tal como refere a literatura, mas também a proceder à comparação entre os resultados das suas amostras, com a expectativa de que diferenças significativas seriam encontradas. Foram utilizados como instrumentos a escala PANAS (Galinha e Pais Ribeiro, 2005) e a Escala de Satisfação Com a Vida - ESCV (Neto, 1993), a UWES-9 e o Questionário de Satisfação com a Prática Profissional de Pais Ribeiro e Maia. Os resultados vão, de uma forma geral, ao encontro do definido na literatura para as variáveis em estudo, no entanto apenas foram encontradas diferenças significativas entre as duas amostras no bem estar no trabalho, revelando a amostra de trabalhadores do regime publico, um maior nível de bem estar no trabalho. Foram ainda encontradas diferenças entre estes 2 grupos na dimensão “Reconhecimento pelos outros do trabalho realizado” da escala de Satisfação com a Prática Profissional.
ABSTRACT: The present study aimed to assess the subjective well-being, the well being at work and the job satisfaction among workers whose employers belong to the Public and the Private Sector, in order to identify significant correlations among this variables as mentioned in the literature, but also, to compare their results, with the expectation that significant differences would be found. The PANAS scale (Galinha and Pais Ribeiro, 2005), the Satisfaction with Life Scale - SWL (Neto, 1993), the UWES-9 and the Satisfaction with the Professional Practice Questionnaire (Pais Ribeiro & Maia) were used as instruments. In general, results are consistent with the literature in what concerns the variables under study. However, significant differences were only found for the two samples of the work well being, demonstrating a greater level of well being at work in the public sector. It was also found differences between these two groups in the dimension "Recognition of the work done by others" of the Satisfaction with Professional Practice scale.

Cada vez mais o bem-estar animal (BEA) está ganhando espaço no cenário mundial, tanto pela pressão dos países importadores, quanto pela demanda de uma sociedade mais consciente em relação às condições de vida dos animais de produção. Apesar da preocupação crescente com o BEA, são escassos os estudos sobre o bem-estar humano (BEH) nas fazendas e como ele poderia influenciar o BEA. Dessa maneira, a presente pesquisa teve como principais objetivos: analisar a relação entre bem-estar humano e bem-estar animal em propriedades leiteiras e a influência do treinamento nas atitudes, no comportamento, no conhecimento técnico de manejadores (trabalhadores e proprietários) e no medo experimentado por vacas leiteiras. As principais conclusões foram que fazendas pontuadas em nível bom de BEA apresentaram maior pontuação de BEH e fazendas pontuadas em nível aceitável de BEA apresentaram menor pontuação de BEH. Em adição, o treinamento foi positivo no comportamento humano em relação às vacas leiteiras, na diminuição do medo que as vacas têm do humano e no conhecimento técnico em BEA. De acordo com esses resultados, quanto maior o nível de BEH maior o nível BEA e o treinamento em BEA influenciou os comportamentos, os conhecimentos técnicos, o medo em vacas e as atitudes dos trabalhadores.
Increasingly, animal welfare (AW) has been gaining ground on the world stage, both by pressure from importing countries, as the demand for a more conscious society regarding the living conditions for farm animals. Despite the growing concern on AW, there are few studies on human welfare (SW) in farms and how it could influence AW. Thus, the present study aimed: to analyze the relationship between stockpeople welfare and animal welfare in dairy farms and the influence of training on attitudes, behaviour, technical expertise of stockpeople (employees and owners) and fear experienced by dairy cattle. The main conclusions were that farms scored in good AW level had a higher SW score and farms scored in acceptable AW level had lower SW scores. In addition, training was positive on human behaviour towards dairy cows, on reducing fearful cows, and on AW technical expertise. According to these results, the higher AW\'s level, the higher SW\'s level.
